Probably the best poem I have written in my entire life.

spring returns

Spring arrives, with mud and muck, field and plain, you see, From winter's cold slumber, weeds pop up (no flowers, sadly!). The sparrows chirp and fuss, annoyed in every tree, Those quiet, bland cold days are gone (not "bitter," too dramatic, maybe!).

The sun shines down, the soil just turns to icky clay, Weeds sprout like crazy, bugs burst forth to ruin the day. A dusty breeze blows, bringing sneezes on the air, Allergies are back, attacking noses everywhere (humans too, beware!).

The world, it seems, again takes on a weird, strange hue, Each view a landscape of, well, mud and icky goo. The "joy" of spring cleaning, hits you hard and true (no choice, it's time to do!). A weary heart just counts the sneezes coming through.

A Petition To God

I’m brainstorming for the next universe update and need some ideas. Everyone please comment with one change in the next update (e.g a new color named blurger, time travelling cats, or a random citizen named Benjamin who does nothing but take up space [No one likes Benjamin])

Winner of the contest will be awarded one (1) new type of smell named after them. The winning suggestion will be added to a petition. One the petition gets over 2 billion signatures, we will have Laura make a formal request to the Almighty Sky God.

Rules:

1. All suggestions must be legitimate (No trolls, orcs, or those weird things that work for Santa Claus)

2. Suggestions must be submitted prior to the day of judgment (next Tuesday)

My Pet Booger

I love my small pet booger he is so small and squishy you might say he is gross and you might say he is icky But I love my small pet booger I found him in a ravine his texture is like fine lotion he is a grayish green. I keep him in a tank and I feed him cucumbers. He likes it wet and dank and this fact is no wonder My friends say he’s a slug but I think that they’re wrong I think slugs are very gross Hence my booger song! My Booger likes it when it rains and we make paper boats. And then we go and play outside and he has no need for a coat. He will slide and ooze around and I’ll sail boats right by the gutter I make sure to not step on my pet (If I do, I think he’ll sputter.) Winding Road to Blue Eyes

I set off, not exactly thrilled, Past a tree, stingy with its shade, Through highways jammed, my patience killed, By craggy cliffs, my feet betrayed.

I twist and turn, like spaghetti in a spoon, But I keep going, 'cause what else can I do? My job's to get there, reach my destination soon, That clear blue gaze, it's waiting, it's true!

Day and night, those blue eyes gleam, Anticipating, it would seem... Not my grand arrival, or a hero's welcome bright, But probably just me, filling up the cat's food dish tonight!

Hurt

Renouncing fears and discarding hope

To hold nothing but malice towards myself

A container of hatred and anger

With the purpose of selfharm

Chains made from arrogance

To hold me from swaying

Conceited and imposing

Lest they see me as weak

A corrupt cornered soul

Assuming a false front

A mere facade for the masses

But he fools no one, except for himself

Walking a path of solitary

Even when arrived at a crossroads

Why must I keep this up?

Because I am hurt and there is no other way
