tag game: three things that make up how you dress/look/present

Scarves/shawls: it’s a must except in summer for obvious reasons. I have around 20-30 and I’m always planning to buy more hahahahahah

Bracelets: I’ve been wearing bracelets since FOREVER x) I’ve been changing them when they broke and that, so I have now some of leather and the majority of steel/silver plus a hairband (and sometimes even a scrunchie too hahahaha). Right now, it’s 16 and I’m planning to add around 2-3 more.

Funny socks: right now in autumn/winter I wear them 24/7. They have lots of drawings there: Totoro, polar bears, suricates, flowers, Christmas trees, some Disney ones, Minions, The Simpsons, kitties, sweets, ice creams, etc.

Hi im trying to learn french (its been 3 days since i started) but i know i need a show/musical/youtuber or something like that to obsess over and i see on your channel tons of suggestions but what would you suggest to a complete stranger to french (im not asking what is the easiest but what is the easiest to love and appriciate cause im ready to give my time:)

Hey hey! Fist of all, thanks for asking :) I am glad you decided to start learning French, and I’m going to try my best to suggest some stuff.

So, when it comes to shows, you probably noticed if you went through my blog a bit that I am quite obsessed with Kaamelott. It is a great and very funny show about the Arthurian legend. However, they use some unusual vocabulary and phrases, so it probably wouldn’t be the best place to start, sadly ^^.

As for other tv shows, I made a post at some point, I don’t know if you saw it. I can reblog it if you want. Also, I could add some other shows that I watched recently on the list (like Engrenages, that I had not watched yet at the time but now that I did I cansay I really loveit).

Then again, I don’treally know what you’re into ^^

When it comes toyoutubers, I am a huge fan of the Suricates (a group of brilliant guys), and mostof their vids are subtitled in English! (lucky you ;). Then, there are the mostfamous youtubers : Cyprien, Norman, Squeezie, Natoo (I love her, she’s a lot offun). McFly and Carlito are all the rage at the moment (they do some insanestuff, it’s pretty entertaining ^^). You can also definitely watch Palmashow onYoutube. I also love Antoine Daniel (his most famous videos are What the Cut?,and he recently did an audio fiction called Clyde Vanilla). There’s also JDG(le joueur du grenier), who mostly criticises old video games (I’m not reallyinto video games but I still like his vids a lot because they’re hilarious). Ifyou’re into educative things, Linksthesun is quite good, he also does movie andsongs reviews (the latter are hilarious, OMG). When it comes to cinema, I likele fossoyeur de films (but his reviews get pretty technical, which tends toannoy me a bit ^^).

Then, we have brilliantwebseries on Youtube. Iparticularly like Le Visiteur du futur. La théorie desBalls and Le secret des Balls (which go together) are also very good!

That’s all I canthink of now, even though I’m probably forgetting some people.

I really don’tknow much about musicals because it is not really my thing, but I love thesongs from Mozart l’Opéra Rock =)

So my first advice would be to watch cartoons with French dub to familiarize yourself again with it, not to mention you know already about the story so you can get the gist of it

Okay I don’t have ideas for movies right now but for youtube channels Golden Moustache has often subtitles on its videos (here is one of my fave sketches, Suricate make the best IMHO)

Joueur du Grenier has subtitles too and it’s freaking hilarious (and great to learn how to be angry in French)

Parole de Chat has cute  animals videos with voice-over & subtitles.

What the Cut and Salut Les Geeks both have the same principe (comedic analysis of weird internet videos ) and are great; only inconvenient, the youtubers talk quite fast (especially Antoine Daniel). Also, while they’re funny, their humor can be pretty harsh, fair warning.

If you know about the anime Saint Seiya (and if you don’t, it’s still great), there is an abridged series, also with subtitles ; I must warn you that this series has a lot of puns and references that might be a bit hard to understand if you don’t already have some bagage in French. Not into Saint Seiya? That’s okay, the creator also did a channel with parodies of Marvel cartoons

On the science side, e-penser and Axolot are very interesting channels presented by guys who both speak quite slowly and calmy, which can help. Not to mention it’s great!

There are many more and I’m sure others will complete the list with movies and such, but I hope it helps!

hey french speaking followers Could you recommend me movies or series which have like slow french? Something easy to understand? Or other things I should do to slowly refresh and expand my french skills?  I had french for a long time and I hated it mostly because I HAD to learn it. Now I would like to get back into it. For English series and movies worked just fine. Sooo do you have recommendations?
