I'll be dropping the chapter this week whenever it's done, been busy cause Father's day was Sunday and then mom's birthday today. She is 66 now, or, as she's been joking, 'one six away from Satan'. And it was a birthday that, in Dec, I didn't think we'd get to spend with her. It's got me... really emotional and a bit choked up now that the day is winding down and she's off to bed so I can cry a little. Happy tears, relieved tears, emotional tears, not bad ones.

I know mom won't be here forever and that terrifies me. But I got to celebrate another one of her birthdays with her, and she'll be here for mine next month. And that's something I'm holding onto.

#we got food and gave her gifts and then we watched her movie choice - Fall Guy because she likes Ryan Gosling being funny #I love my mama so much and getting to have another birthday with her was just... i'm really happy about it in a heavy way
