Summary of the bmc apocalypse roleplays I did back in the day
Attempt 1- Jake's hero complex leads him to commit the crimes of harbouring a criminal, multiple threats of murder, and child endangerment often interrupted by bouts of major depression while babysitting
Attempt 2- Jake's hero complex leads him to leading a horde of zombies away from his community after promising to never abandon his friends again and gets lost on his way home
Attempt 3- Jake doesn't suffer from that much of a hero complex but does find himself getting kidnapped and escaping and getting lost. Then proceeds to get told off by Jeremy because he (Jake) wouldn't stay in the infirmary
Attempt 4- Jake's hero complex leads him to blaming himself for the destruction of the community he was leading (with the assistance of the Squip squad) because he wasn't there to protect them from being raided because he was out looking for supplies

Here’s the full version of the swap AU Filming Industry — The B.A.S.S. Mercenaries.
The B.A.S.S. Mercenaries operates beyond the reach of the Alliance. No one knows exactly where the team members hail from, when did they become a team, or what drives their actions. They have a repuration for completing any mission as long as the price is right, though money alone won’t suffice. Payment must be made in rare metal, gun powder, and other valuable commodities. Or else, part of the client’s body will be removed, heads and cores made up a large percentage.
The B.A.S.S. ’s service range from blackmailing, assassination, security convoy, and sabotage, as an acronym of the team’s name.
Introducing the team members:
Balisong (He/him) - Demolitionist, explosive engineer. Younger brother of Lavalier. As volatile as the materials he works with, known for his quick temper, likely fueled by his addiction to smoking gunpower — a habit he’s never been able to get rid of. Quiet and reserved, only speaks when he’s working or when the conversation touches on a subject he’s pasionate about. Rumors had it that he had been a victim of Glitch Toilet, much like Lumix. Absolutely disapproves Lavalier’s relationship with Monochrome.
Lavalier (She/her) - Assassin, team leader. Older sister of Balisong, girlfriend of Monochrome. Ruthless, efficient, beneath her hardened exterior lies a soft spot reserved exclusively for those she considers family. Slightly jealous of Lumix because she has a dashing fiancé and an adorable boy. Has a substantial bounty on her head due to her act of sabotaging crucial intelligence from both the TV faction and the Skibidis. Rumors circulates that she might have been the original prototype for the current speaker matriach.
Monochrome (He/them) - Former butler. Worked as an interrogator for the TV faction for a few years before join the B.A.S.S. Partner of Lavalier. Unlike Foley, he is a virgin, yet he loves teasing Lavalier with inappropriate jokes. An accident during a sparring match with the TV elite left Monochrome with significant processor damage. Capable of using light ability and teleportation. However, when he teleports, large amount of red smoke will leak from their body for an extended peroid. Has invented a multitude of methods to torture his victims to death using nothing but chains. Has a collection of skulls, Polaroid’s included. Lumix almost pumped his head with lead because of it.
Lumix (She/her) - Gunswoman. Former human, fiancee of Sawmus and biological mother of Polaroid. Faked her death in the Glitch Toilet accident and aidded Lavalier in reassembling Balisong, later stayed in the B.A.S.S. due to her ties with Lavalier, unable to return to the Alliance. Misses Sawmus so much that she sometimes hacks the surveillance camera in the Alliance base, or stalks Sawmus’ team during their missions. Her precision and fierceness with her shotgun is absolutely viscious (Polaroid inherits his sniper genes from her). Doesn’t have any memories of her past as a human, but she finds solace in the fact that someday she would have Polaroid as her son.
Other info: in the swap AU, Sawmus and Polaroid’s storyline remains the same. Except for the part where Polaroid never joins the science department and keeps his position as a special op sniper in Sawmus’ team.

GOOD MORNING! Elizabeth here.
I would like to share with everyone a snippet of my actual, literal book. So basically, I have this comic (it's in the works) And this book is the spin-off story of one of the characters. Yes the comic is about time travel and yes it does have historical figures in it.
This story is NOT my Lincoln assassination/Davy Herold story that's on AO3, just warning you.
Most of the characters in this original book are obviously my own. This is taken from a scene I designated for the second half of the book!
@lorephobic just in case you wanted a look at my writing when it's not about said historical blorbo, my friend
IT'S UNDER THE CUT! THank you!
Miss Fanny Monday annoyed me greatly. Since the war, everything and everyone annoyed my frazzled mind, and it was exacerbated by the death of my president. I despised everyone and everything under the sun- mainly because everyone and everything I had truly loved was dead. Here they expected me to carry on with my life and get married as if I hadn't witnessed six hundred thousand of my countrymen die.
The person I hated most was Fanny Monday, and I was going to marry her.
It was not her fault. It was not like she wasn't a very pretty girl. She had mousy brown hair and a slender frame. She had big brown eyes with long eyelashes, and was very tiny. No more than four feet ten inches.
Fanny talked too much. She talked from the moment I met her, when I was still just a boy, unknowing of the horrors of the world. She had a high-pitched voice that squeaked when she was excited, which was often. I regret to say it now, but I despised her for it. She was so frivolous and girly, a regular flibbertigibbet, who wore frilly gowns so large they took up the doorframe. They practically swallowed her. not one of them went untouched by bows. Bows on her dress, bows in her hair, and they irked me.
She never had anything important to say and she never said anything important.
Fanny Monday was a stupid, oblivious, tooth-rottingly sweet girl, full of cheerful high spirits. Her head was full of air and her voice was full of laughter.
My mother called her a sweetheart.
And I hated her. Yet she was going to be my bride.
Fanny Monday came to visit the estate on a crisp December afternoon. My fiancee and her family were staying until the New Year, to my dismay- her family was just as awful. I stood miserably in the snow- when was I not miserable?- and waited for her, praying she would slip on the ice when she stepped out of the carriage.
Hopefully she had caught a winter chill.

Spoils of War - Dastan x (fem) Secret Assassin Servant!Reader
Prince of Persia Oneshot
Requested by Anon
" Hi OMD when I saw requests for prince of Persia I literally fell on my knees, literally anything for Dastan pls or enemies to lovers with a secret assassin servant reader 🤔"
Sure, anon! i love PoP and love writing for Dastan. Thanks for your request! Hope you will enjoy it as much as i loved writing it 😊
Warnings: Historical minded naturalization of slavery as concequence of war, prince x servant enemies to lovers with political intrigue happening in the middle ( nizam weaponizing the hate of the reader to attempt getting dastan killed.)
Summary:A persian attack destroys the home city of your arranged fiancé during your visit to meet him and the winners take you with them after the sacking. Doomed to become the servant of the man who killed him, your miserable and friendless existence as a slave in a foreign country couldn't get any worse.
Just as you are about to reach a breaking point the brother of the king offers you a dangerous way out that you take full of anger, hate and desperation. Switching your wedding night for a black widow job assassinating your master isn't the honorable first moment of union with a man you dreamed, but fate will keep surprising you as you start to discover the kind of man Dastan trully is.
Notes: This turned out loosely inspired in greek mythology and The Son of the Sheik (1926). I didn't plan it like that from the beggining, i realized midway into the writing but thought it would be cool to tell you.

The city was doomed and sooner or later your rank was going to become a curse. The man you were promised to was the leader of the last defensive attempt and his fate was falling in battle against the sons of Sharaman. Naturally, it was yours to become part of the loot gained on the sacking and being carried away to the palace. From then you could only expect the worst, you would be theirs to dispose.
The persian who discovered you and got you out the hiding spot introduced you to some of the royals with the pride of a well accomplished task. He knew he just had found something they would like or, more precisely, fitting for the eye of the youngest prince. A proper reward for the maker of the feat, since you heard then he was the killer of your fiancee, making coincidence allied with the rules of war.
Followed closely by the careless yet present surveillance of his uncle, Dastan of Persia came to you presenting himself as the needed comfort for a helpless and terrified woman. His eyes were trying to find yours staring back at him as he insisted over and over that he won't hurt you, but his attempt of checking a superficial wound in your cheek caused an intempestive reaction.
You spat on his face, but that clear expression of deep hatred didn't stop the course of fate. You became his servant, one exclusively dedicated to him until you could be trusted near any other persian royals. Bis, the man handing you to his prince, was in charge of watching over you.
Resistance was all that kept you standing, you refused to embrace the new identity coming from the reality being imposed to you. Despite being placed in degrading circumstances you were still a noble from birth and Nizam was the only one who seemed to understand that.
The world was turned upside down, a vulgar man turned into a prince was master of a servant who was once about to be queen. Dastan irritated you above everyone, the parody of a royal he performed was an insult to your principles and he was always teasing you for staying tied to your manners. Nobody would ever be on your side because you were a stranger even among the people they had enslaved you with. To them you were just the foreigner once engaged to their deceased prince before marriage got to happen, but that wasn't enough to owe you any loyalty. You had no friends there and your family wasn't aware of anything so you couldn't count on them.
In that situation, the brother of the king and his sharp ironic whispering was the only approach you found relatable. Unlike Dastan, he had no interest in acting like a moral grounded hero who rescued you from the ruins. He felt to you like an exhausted nobleman, the only one still able to perceive the oddities of the context surrounding you.
Your humiliation reached its peak when the prince introduced you with the restant members of the gang of savages he called friends. You were expected to serve them and although he wouldn't allow anyone to disrespect you and no one did. you had the feeling of being admired with vulgarity as if they were showing approval of the leader's new toy. The prideful horror you didn't care to hide caused more and more teasing coming from him. When he finally got sick of it, Dastan admitted to be testing your qualities.
He said you were beautiful, but lacked humility and that needed to be fixed.
It was unbearable, you would have done anything to get away from him. Feeling he was the only one you could trust, you later told Nizam about the aberration and then discovered you weren't alone. He shared your bitterness to an even higher extreme, directly feeding the flames of your hate towards Dastan.
" Do you want to get rid of the rat? So do i. " He confessed to you as a conclusion of your common venting. " I have the power to fix your life here if you fix that for me. "
" What can be granted to me that would make this any better? " You skeptically recalled. " I lost my life, the small privilege of the highest valued slave is nothing compared with what I once had."
" I can make your living condition be re-evaluated. " He casually offered you,as if it was an easy task that meant nothing to him compared to other things he could do with the amount of power he had. " I would make one of my two nephews marry you. If you behave and serve my interests it could even be Tus so you would get the illusion of being a future queen again. The union would be strategic, you'll pay me when he will be crowned king. "
Returning to nobility having only one secret owner seemed infinitely better than being a servant. You weren't bothered by the idea of becoming a political tool of Nizam if that would get your dignity restored.
" An offer like this must demand a higher price than just helping you keep your nephew controlled for you to rule through him, so tell me what it is. "
" You must kill Dastan." Nizam ordered ríght away. " A chance like this one hasn't been presented in many years. Why do you think I have been following you so patiently? To offer you a friend?"
He was mocking you but you were too lost thinking on the task itself to care about that detail.
" I knew from the beginning that you were perfect to provide me this service. "
The absurdity of that claim allowed you to mock him back.
" Couldn't you find a trained assassin? Or a man of the royal guard? Anyone could do it for a proper price. "
" If anyone could do it, your prince should still be breathing. When battle calls Dastan is as fast as the lightning. No fíghter can catch him by surprise, he can't be taken down in an ambush. It's impossible to defeat him by force, but he is easier to weaken by passion. "
The implications on that last sentence alarmed you more than the command itself.
" I think you are mistaken, ... he does nothing but annoy me for his amusement. "
" He desires you. " Nizam insisted. " The persistence on his part indicates that he wants you more intensely than what he should. What you have to do is tame that wild beast, once he will fall asleep drunk of you he will not even notice the movement of the air as your dagger sinks in his flesh. "
It offended you, that was an insult to the sacrifices you were making in that hostile environment in order to survive the way you wanted.
" I'm NOT a prostitute, I still guard the only treasure that you persians haven't stolen from me. I will bleed over the bedsheet of my husband like the honorable practices command, not let Dastan have that before ending him for his blood to mix with mine. Find another way for me to murder him or I am out."
The energic refusal angered him and he showed you a side of him even darker than what his command inferred.
" You were simply lucky, girl. How long do you think that luck is going to last if you reject my offer? " He hissed in a threatening tone. " Very soon you will run out of things to loose. If you don't give it to him, somebody else will take it because being our slave means any man here has the ríght to go their way with your pretty body. I'm giving you a chance for revenge and a future reward for the stain consequential to your current condition, more than what you deserve. "
The cruel vocab was harshly pointing out an actual truth. Once Dastan wouldn't be there and Bis would follow him to war you would remain in the palace alone without any guarantee of protection. Following the orders of Nizam was the only way for you to land a respectable position and you didn't lack motives to kill the prince. Trusting in the word of a man who wanted to kill his nephew was a dangerous move, but desperate times needed desperate measures.
The execution of the plan started in slow moves, with passive receptions of his provocations intending to generate neutral to positive interactions inviting the prince to trust you. A sudden change of mind would have been too suspicious, you only allowed yourself to act progressively more friendly with Bis.Having his best friend on your side was a good mechanism of approach, but given that was also the man taking responsibility for you it was strategical from all pointviews.
Unfortunately, it all became counterproductive as the intimate proximity needed to be generated for the future success of the job increased. Dastan and Bis were showing true concern for your adaptation when you stopped being mean to them. The orphan made prince shared some particular details of his experience on the drastic change, details that his brothers would never come to completely understand, and the similarity on the feelings he described with yours got to shock you. Despite he was talking of gaining privilege while you had fallen in disgrace, you both knew what it was to feel out of place. Spending time with him was part of your day work and the secret mission, but it also made you start getting to know him at a personal level and doing so was placating your anger.
The first time he made romantical advance on you he still managed to surprise you. Romantical undertones were hard to spot beyond the aura of attractiveness following his every act, his ways were flirty all the time. However, he put in some real work in making that act very distinguishable for you.
Under the excuse of helping you avoid work for a while he took you to his favorite spot in the palace, or more precisely on top of it. His hiding place from childhood, where he would go back then when the pressures of change were becoming too much for the street boy expected to become a prince. You were sitting next to each other with little to no space in between, sharing stories of your past lives. Out of sudden at some point in one of his tales he interrupted himself off to apologize to you.
" Gaining glory with your suffering was never my intention. I can't change the past, but I want to be a helpful part of your future. There is nothing wrong with being a servant if the royal family protects you and I am taking care of that.”
He wasn’t completely satisfied with that and imagined you wouldn't be either if he would keep it that simple, so he encouraged himself to continue.
“ I know what it's like to struggle for survival, but I am aware you will never get rid of the noble girl you used to be. Her virtues and flaws will stay with you, only time and use will show you how to deal with that. If I wanted to help you get rid of that tendency to judge others based on their origins, it is not only because I don't want you to hate me ... Do you think I didn't despise nobility before I became a prince? Adapting costed me some self hatred back when I was learning to emulate their ways, that's how I know that you will only be happy if you get rid of all sorts of prejudices. "
Incredibly wise personal advice with a heartfelt touch, You never imagined he would be capable of such deep thinking. Until then he was to you a brute chosen for the potentiality the king found in his fast movements thinking of forming a fighter. The colorful tale presenting him as a noble hearted boy made a prince in an act of justice was to you an excuse hiding a military reason. It had to be the creation of an unstoppable elite soldier, a mighty weapon for the persian army with fierce loyalty for the king who dragged him out of the mud.
The man you were discovering justified the legend, maybe there was more in him to see than what surface looking would show.
" Why do you tell me this?"
" Because I don't want you to hate yourself seeing how everything changes around you, but you fight to stay the same. "
He made you smile, you couldn't help it. Embarrassed as you were for that moment of weakness, you couldn't even look him in the eye. Noticing you were looking down made him follow your glance and your eyes meet in the ríght spot for something he wanted to show you.
" See this?" He pointed at the rustic necklace he was wearing. " I keep it since those days, a reminder of the life I left behind keeping me grounded. "
You were encouraged to inspect it and the prince secretly enjoyed some accidental caressing through your action.
" Difficult thing for someone living in the heights, always jumping and climbing everywhere. "
Your mock made him chuckle and the level of intimacy you were reaching encouraged him to get more personal.
" Did you love him? Is that why being with me becomes such a heavy burden to you? The same hands bringing death to your beloved seeking to caress you... Is that what you despise and fear?"
Dastan looked lost and regretful. It was as if he feared that any chance to get closer with you was lost forever and he would be the one to blame for that.
" I wasn't in love with him, but I did love the idea of being a queen someday. " You admitted, wondering to yourself why you were encouraging him. " If you would have grown up in contact with more noble girls, you would understand. "
" I can't give you a throne, but if you let me I'll make this place your new home. If I once was the one who took away all your safeties, allow me now to be your shelter. "
The hand you still had on his chest was shaking a bit, so he took it and caressed it to calm the trembling before placing a kiss on its back.
You were absolutely speechless, no sound coming out from your parted lips as you observed him in amazement. Dastan awaited while eliminating all distance between you and once your lips were close enough he stopped fighting back the urge to kiss you. A long, mad, desperate kiss that left you gasping for air.
You should have seen it coming, but you were momentarily swept away by his passion. Not only you didn't resist it, you enjoyed it. It was expected of you to be manipulating his passionate energy, yet you couldn't even keep the upper hand when the prince was kissing you. Heat invaded you, as if your whole body was burning of desire for your enemy.
Those sensations were completely new to you and that overwhelmed you, keeping you far away from the calculative coldness the deal demanded. With your certainties completely shakened, you would still fool yourself thinking you were going to make it. Over and over again you informed Nizam of your excellent improvements claiming to be awaiting for his instructions, but the truth was that you were a victim of Dastan's charm falling for him without wanting to acknowledge it.
The opportunity chosen by Nizam to strike presented itself sooner than what you would have preferred. There was going to be a celebration in the palace and you would have to do more than serving food and keeping the goblets of your masters full. As the new rarity brought with the recent sacking, the local nobles could feel curious and you would have to be presented around them for their entertainment. With your beauty of past days restored and reconceptualized through suggestive dressing you were supposed to bait one of the two noble born princes to want you for themselves and lead the peasant one to his death. Your fate depended on the outcome of that night, no margin for mistakes allowed.
While circumstances impeded your target from his gentlemanly actions taking for himself the role of your protector, Bis was still there to take his place. It wasn’t hard to see that the outstanding change in your appearance impressed him, but he admitted it in a completely harmless way. It felt as if a friend would be telling you that you looked pretty and tried to cheer you up while making you some company before the great moment. Only then you realized that you may have made your first friend among the persians and the comfort made you feel horrible. Sweet, innocent Bis thought you were nervous merely because you were going to dance for the noblemen and he did everything in his power to comfort you. His kind efforts reached unknown limits when he said he knew Dastan fancied you and he was going to convince him to marry you so wouldn’t have to go through that anymore.
It moved you, his consideration was not what you would have once expected from the man who caused your doom. The misjudgement generated by your well justified hatred wouldn’t let you see past that and you sold yourself to the wrong master hoping the enemy of your enemies would strategically become your friend. Bis turned out to be your friend and it was most likely that Nizam wouldn’t show you any mercy. You were an easy scapegoat, he would get rid of you before you could open your mouth to accuse him.
The crossroad you stuck yourself in didn’t have any good way out. if you would confess to Dastan the truth, he would reject you before daring to doubt his beloved uncle. However, if you would desist from obeying Nizam, he would destroy you and the prince would continue to be in danger while completely unaware of that. The only solution was evaluating what mattered the most to you and Bis gave you the answer when you felt a sparkle of excitement beneath the layers of guilt as you heard of his plan to help you. Deep down you were on board with it, Dastan awakened feelings you had never experienced during your brief meeting with your arranged fiance. There was no doubt that you despised him at first, but he kept working hard to change your mind until he eventually did it.
Unfortunately, you realized that too late. He could only hate you if he knew of the conspiracy, Dastan would never be yours and you could only blame yourself for that. Time would come for you to face the consequences of your mistakes, but that night you were going to get your little farewell before his heart would break in front of you and yours with his. Despite you being mixed in the crowd of dancers, you were still able to make him feel like you were performing just for him. The awe in his beautiful, round eyes following your movements was slowly melting you, he was the only man that mattered to you there. Being his servant had at least one perk and that was not needing to hide for decorum, he only had to make you a sign to approach and you abandoned the group for him.
“ Is it good like this, my lord?” You purred innocently while proceeding to sit on his lap. “ I hope you enjoyed the show. “
Dastan was fascinated, almost unable to believe what was happening knowing that it was coming from you.
“ … I loved it, but wasn’t expecting my favorite girl to perform.”
You chuckled and began to run your fingers through his hair.
“ Surprise! See how well adjusted I am? I will not be a problem for you tonight.”
He smiled foolishly, as if his mind was numbed because he was feeling you with all his senses.
“ Well, it’s becoming difficult to focus on anything else but your ravishing looks.” He admitted, unsure of where he would wish to land his hands first but still doubting if he should do it. “ … It may be arabian perfume what I’m smelling over here?”
Dastan reached your neck to keep playfully sniffing. Since he could be then sure you weren’t rejecting him anymore, he began to cover that sensitive spot with kisses. A shy gasp escaped from you and he chuckled against your skin, to which you were completely sure you would end up following him to his bedroom. However, your ecstatic responses ended on the way when you noticed the subtle warning look of Nizam witnessing you escape together across the room.
It shrank your heart and you froze with fear, cursing the moment when you decided to associate with that evil man. The sweet prince was unsuspecting of anything, confusing your sorrow and regret with a fear of his touch making you doubt. Once you were behind closed doors all he did was to hold you in his arms.
“ I value the effort that you put in for me tonight, but I will not push limits the noble girl in you wouldn’t want me to.” He was sweetly comforting you. “ Imagine this is our wedding night and I’m the husband respecting your choice of not giving yourself to me until I’ll stop being a stranger.”
You both were laying in the bed over the sheets you changed that morning and he was trying to revive the code of conduct you were supposed to forget, bringing to you the world that didn’t belong to you anymore. Dastan thought the effects of the weight of your secret mission were signs of fear for the loss of your maidenhood to him and doing so he proved to be exactly like the husband you had always wanted.
“ Would you do that for me?” You asked with hesitation, the tone of your voice shaking as you tried to fight tears of deep regret. “ … Even right here and now, when I am nothing to you? “
“ Who says you couldn’t be my wife someday? My sole existence here is a violation to many rules, don’t you think? “ He vaguely teased, also making fun of one of the many insults you proffered to him over the course of your first days at his service. “ I’m a street kid made prince, who would have the nerve to judge if I pick a slave princess?”
Tears began to fall through your face and that time you were dragging him for a kiss, desperately trying to hush your thoughts and let him know how deeply you corresponded his affection before the inevitable would have to happen.
“ Nizam … he will never let us be.” You attempted to explain to him right afterwards without choking on the crying. “ Dastan, I did something terrible. I’m the one who doesn’t deserve you. I let him manipulate my emotions … I didn’t want you to save me if I could save myself, there was a time when I truly despise you and he took advantage of me for that.``
The bewilderment in his gaze was breaking your heart in advance.
“ What are you talking about?”
There was no easy way to say what he needed to know, but at that moment his safety mattered more than what could be of you if he wouldn’t believe you. Fortunately, you remembered you had one proof with some chances of making your story plausible. Dastan was slightly concerned when you stood up to loosen your clothes and search for the well hidden weapon that, had the order been fulfilled, you would have kept away from his sight before he would come to undress you.
You handled it to him immediately, letting the evidence speak for you before you would have to.
“ Do you recognize this dagger?”
Dastan examined it carefully, but there was no doubt in his conclusion.
“ How?” He defensively asked you. “ Who gave this to you?”
“ I’ve got it from the hand of your uncle, he strictly commanded me to kill you in your sleep.” You informed him, much to your regret. “ He convinced me with empty promises of manipulating Tus into making me his wife so my position would be restored, back when I used to care about that … Before getting to know you and find out you are all I ever wanted."
You couldn't stand his suffering. He did believe you, but that didn't make things any better. In any case, it was a double betrayal.
" Do you loathe me so much? " He asked you, visibly hurted. " Does he loathe me this much?"
Desperate and unsure of what to do, all that occured to you was being completely honest with him.
" Dastan, i love you! I could have kept the secret and face the rage of Nizam alone, but then the truth would be gone with me and he would still be close to you planning new ways to harm you." You tried to explain him. " I don't care about what could happen to me anymore, I'm doing this for you… I can't let him hurt you."
He stood up in silence and you could tell that he was about to kick you out. Before he could get to even suggest it you threw yourself in front of him embracing his knees.
"Save yourself, my love. Please, be sensical. " You humbly pleaded. " I'm not begging you to forgive me, I know i have just lost you forever and i'm willing to accept my punishment. "
You released him and closed your eyes, still on your knees but adopting a sacrificial position. Dastan understood you were inviting him to take revenge on you if he desired so hoping that would satisfy him. Paying the price for both should stop him from recklessly confronting Nizam.
Not even at the peak of desperation when you were about to be made a war captive he had seen you like that… And you weren't even trying to save yourself, but offering him your life so he wouldn't risk his.
The prince let the dagger fall on the floor, shocked to the realization that you were trully in love with him.
" As you have spared my life, I release you from your debt. " He informed you, then gesturally invited you to rise up. " How could you possibly believe I would have the very same strenght you lacked? If love stopped your hand, so it shall stop mine. "
Inmense gratitude made you smile despite the sorrow. From that point you would accept anything he demmanded of you. Either if he needed help to expose his uncle, or if he was planning to run away so the family conflict wouldn't end in war, you would follow him.

The Loyal Knight Killed Me. After Changing to a Yandere, He Is Still Fixated On Me - Chapter 1 (English Translation)
Why is this happening to me?
It happened during the graduation party of our academy.
Prince Dylan, who is my fiancee as well as my country’s crown prince, is standing in front of me while pulling a female student towards him. Behind them, several male students pretending to be her knights are lined up like bodyguards. Sad to say, because my little brother’s face is also mixed up in there, I can’t help but hold indescribable feelings. Her name is lady Carrie Sienna, daughter of a baron. While attending the academy, she ensnared many sons of high-ranking nobles and became subject to many rumours.
Of course, I was already aware that prince Dylan was on top of her list. Even so. Who knew that such a thing would happen to me...
“Lady Tiana Alaster, daughter of a marquis! I hereby break off my engagement with you!”
Absolutely unbelievable. What... in the world is happening?
“Have you become frightened of what you did now, after all this time? But Carrie, who’s life was being targeted by you, was even more frightened!”
In front of my eyes, Prince Dylan is glaring at me seemingly satisfied. “I was scared... if prince Dylan wasn’t there, who knows what would’ve happened”, Carrie barked as she snuggled into his highness’ chest.
Yes yes, I promise I promise! You often see this kind of development in popular romance novels, you say? It looks like a complete farce, so please stop! Is what I think, but apparently the knights can’t help but find that kind of behaviour endearing. It makes them want to protect her? After all, obvious bruise marks and gestures are popular, so they’re well spread and become “often seen”. Whoops, has my escapism gone too far?
Before, I would’ve given at least one candid advise. But now, I don’t have any leeway to do so. It seems like His Highness thinks I’m too afraid to speak, but of course, this doesn’t make me scared at all.
“I have investigated everything you did to my dearest love Carrie! A woman like you whose nature is so unsightly is nothing but harmful to this country! Therefore...”
Even though I still can’t believe what’s happening to me, my body is honest. I’m trembling out of impatience and nervousness. My face must be as white as a sheet right now. Hey, you’re lying right? Stop it, no, no, no absolutely not!
And yet...
“After this, you’ll be immediately expelled from this country. Go and live the rest of your life regretting your actions!”
Prince Dylan has at last said those words.
“Ha....”
My chest hurts and I have trouble breathing. His Highness looks at me, who can’t utter a word, with scornful eyes, but nothing of that matters.
At the edge of my vision, I could see someone secretly whispering to the lord standing next to them. There’s no doubt. I know this scene.
Prince Dylan is still saying something, but honestly I care so little that it goes in one ear and out the other. He’s saying I bullied Carrie, tore her textbooks, pushed her into a lake, and on top of all that, planned to assassinate her right? I know I know! They’re all false accusations, but for some reason evidence has been gathered! But they’re some kind of wreckage that can’t even be called evidence and Carrie’s own crying testimony!
It’s fine, it honestly doesn’t matter. Cause it’s not like I loved prince Dylan anyway.
The reason why I’m falling into the depths of despair right now isn’t because prince Dylan shoved the engagement breakoff into my face or because I’m expelled on false accusations.
A single knight is approaching me, who has been frozen in place the whole time.
...The second prince of the neighbouring country who has been studying abroad, prince Isaac....’s close aid who has been studying abroad together as an escort knight, the young knight sir Cyrus Diafrey.
He’s always smiling with a grin and has a friendly personality for a knight. Even though his charm is overflowing, his behaviour full of smiles is like that of a puppy. That was my impression of him.
Truly, his handsome features and personality made him quite popular amongst the female students. He’s equally matched to prince Isaac who was also popular as a beautiful prince. To the point that, if you didn’t pay attention, prince Dylan’s existence would’ve faded away.
When prince Dylan openly ostracised me at the academy, prince Isaac and he often worried about me and called out to me. I also felt quite some affection for him. ...but that’s all past tense.
Sir Cyrus, who quickly came close to me, slowly knelt down in front of me and reached out his hand.
“Lady Tiana Alaster, daughter of a marquis. Your engagement has now been called off. ... Would you please allow me to propose to you here?”
It was like a movie scene where a prince from a fairy tale proposed to a princess... The screams of the female students echoed through the venue at such a volume that you couldn’t even hear prince Dylan’s and Carrie’s voice. There also seemed to be some ladies who fainted from the sudden proposal from the knight whom they’ve always adored.
At this moment, I was completely convinced. I know this scene. This is the second time. I’m certain I’ve already died once... and the time I should’ve already experienced before is repeating.
Sir Cyrus put a lot of love into it! That’s how he’s looking at me right now, completely bewitched.... is what it seems, but if you know certain things, you can clearly see the dark colour that dwells deep inside his eyes. A chill goes down my spine, and my gut is loudly ringing the alarm bells. And I involuntarily screamed.
“Absolutely not!!!”
Cause I have been killed by your very own hands!!!

T/N: Finally! I knew translating a novel would be very challenging and much harder for me than drama CD’’s. But I still wanted to give it a try again. It took a very long time, but the first chapter is done! I hope you enjoyed!

Scandal of the Century (WIP 2)
[The changes are mostly additions to the scene I wasn't finished with in the last version, and I did manage to work some of my thoughts about Jaina and Tahiri into an actual fic for the first time.]
“Do they have any clue about me?” Zekk asked.
Jaina and Jag considered their mutual fiancee's question as Javis Tyrr's holonews footage revealing the two's relationship played on the viewscreen in front of them.
“I don't think so,” Jaina admitted.
“I haven't seen any evidence of it,” Jag agreed after a second. “And we would have.”
The grins that crossed Jaina and Zekk's faces told Jag that whatever they were plotting over their unusually strong bond could be nothing but mischief. That didn't necessarily mean it was a bad idea, but one of them had to be reasonable, and that was usually Jag.
”All right,“ he sighed, ”let's hear it.“
”Since the nexu's already halfway out of the cage,“ Jaina said, her mischievous smirk widening, ”I think we should have a little fun with it.“
—
As much as she would have wanted to see the looks on the Masters' faces, the three of them did feel that Jaina and Zekk's duty as Jedi obligated them to let the Council in on it.
”It would help draw media attention away from the Order,“ Kyle Katarn said contemplatively.
“Which we desperately need,” Cilghal agreed.
Acting Grand Master Kenth Hamner pressed a hand to his forehead and sighed in exhausted exasperation. He said nothing, and they all knew that a specific direct order would be the only way to stop Jaina and Zekk from carrying out their scheme.
Kyp had been grinning in anticipation ever since he heard the proposal. ”I can't wait to see the look on Daala's face when you finish with this.”
—
“You could start a whole new Imperial custom,” Jaina joked, making fun of Jag for accidentally shooting his deputy minister in the foot as he foiled the recent assassination attempt. Zekk grinned as the playful banter went on.
Not for the first time, Zekk thanked the Force for how much both of his lovers had healed in the last few years, since those days off on Kashyyyk when they had all collectively realized how they truly felt about each other, after Jag had had to deliberately set himself up for Jaina to deliberately almost kill him in order to get through to her about how much of herself she was losing to her fixation on her training.
“So, your imperial majesty,” he asked Jag playfully, “does Conspiracy: A Methodology offer any advice on the best time to start our little scheme?”
Jag hummed in consideration. “If I ever get my hands on a copy, I'll let you know.”
———
The viewscreen wall displaying an image of Alderaan blew out, and an assassin entered, followed by two YVH droids. Jaina, Zekk, Leia, Han and Jag felled the attackers before the Pangalactus security personnel even entered the room. But then they were standing amidst the wreckage, and Jag was on the receiving end of a fusillade of profuse apologies.
And Jaina shot Zekk a grin. Now? she asked over their bond.
Now, he agreed.
Conveniently standing behind Jag, but in full view of the other observers, the two pulled into a passionate kiss.
———
”Well,“ Lecersen remarked after a moment of stunned silence. “I didn't see that coming.”
”No way,” Treen laughed as the conspirators observed the immediate fallout of the expected failure. ”This is too perfect.“
Lecersen smiled and began drafting the holonews article, with the scandalous capture as the cover image.
———
Over their mercifully uninterrupted second attempt at that night's dinner, Jaina didn't even notice that her ADHD meds were starting to wear off, because she was so hyperfocused on her anticipation.
She found what she was looking for even faster than she'd expected to.
The rest of the conversation, whatever it was, stopped in its tracks as she collapsed into helpless laughter, dropping the datapad on the table.
”Oh, this has gotta be good,“ Han remarked in anticipation.
Tahiri, who had joined them on the way back from Pangalactus, was quicker than Zekk in snatching the datapad from the table.
“'Jedi Cheating Scandal!'“ Jaina's sister read excitedly, raising her voice to be heard over Jaina's cackling. ”'The revelation of Head of State Jagged Fel's relationship with Jedi Knight Jaina Solo has drawn plenty of criticism from many, particularly Fel's detractors among the Imperial Remnant.'”
Tahiri paused for a moment as Jaina finally managed to get a grip, but the ”Galactic Empire“ correction didn't come because Jag had food in his mouth.
”'But it appears the situation may be even more complicated than anyone had realized,'“ Tahiri continued. ”'Mere hours ago, Head of State Fel was dining at the Pangalactus restaurant with his girlfriend, her parents, and fellow Jedi Knight Zekk, when an assassin blasted through a wall and attempted to kill Fel, followed by two YVH combat droids that attempted to kill the Organa-Solos in an apparently unrelated attack.
”'As the local security personnel arrived and conversed with Fel, Jedi Solo and Jedi Zekk kissed each other in full view of the holocams.'”
Tahiri paused for a moment, staring at the datapad incredulously, before continuing. “'Historically, Jedi Solo is not known for subtle approaches to problems, so it is quite a shock that she could keep a man as observant as Fel in the dark about a secret affair.
“'If Head of State Fel has not already heard of this story, he undoubtedly will soon. We wish him the best.'”
“And so,” Tahiri concluded dramatically, ”the Trickster works her magic again.“
”Kriff off, Ri.“ Jaina's smile belied the halfhearted eyeroll with which she habitually reacted to her sister's references to the act of deception that had long since become a running joke between them.
The nickname Ri was the syllable shared in the names from both of the personalities who had merged to form the individual who was called Tahiri today, and might or might not choose to be called Riina tomorrow. One never really knew.
[I don't really know where to go next with this. I've thought of having some scene spun off Jag's meeting with Lecersen in reaction to the attack at Pangalactus, which takes us to the end of Backlash. I might skip to mid(?)-Allies when the Skykhai vid goes viral, and the "breakup" of Jaina and Jag would also be staged for drama.]

does sapph have a name for her weapon? i am curious about sapph's hrothdad too :o
H GOD NAME FOR HER WEAPON. I WISH I THOUGHT ABT THAT BEFORE I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT. i dont have a name for it bc ive always just called it the Laws Order Rapier bc thats in in game name BUT i will not be thinking about that in my lil brain of mine. I DO however have other lore to share about it instead...
her rapier/nouliths, and her entire combat outfit shbr onwards (the exarchic variant one i designed with the heart motif) was actually a gift from the 'Crystal Exarch' that was given to help mend wounds and appease anger after she was summoned (and to just give her an actual outfit in her non-wol au). She designs most of her clothing but her actual most iconic outfit isn't sewn by herself! however it was still technically designed by her. She, alive sapph, never did, but the design of both the weapon and outfit were taken from her journal- from the doomed timeline, and then commisioned to be created by the Crystarium's greatest weaver and goldsmith. It was the last outfit she doodled out in her design journal before her death in that timeline :D
AS FOR HER HROTH DAD his name is Bozidar and he's an ex garlean solider! He was raised to be actually very loyal to the empire as his family suckered up for higher status so he was admitted to the army at a higher rank for his medical knowledge and he's. healed a lot of bad people. but because of his rank he was chosen to help learn red magic from Lambard (IIRC thats that villain from the rdm questline) so he knows both conjury (basically a full whm but without the lore) and red magic. he turned from the empire after falling in love and leading to his death his fiancee, a man who taught him to despise the empire he once loved. He actually found Sapph on the Steppe abandoned while he was on the run after trying to assassinate an Legatus. He didnt plan on keeping her at all but she wiggled her way into his heart anyway :D
#sapphposts#gayleposting#long post#I didnt mean to ramble so much but like#the lack of word limit makes it just so tempting#hope u enjoy the lore dump and it aint too much LMAO

Miss Sherlock episode 7-b: The last case part 1 - The Stolen Virus
Spoiler free summary: Sherlock investigation continues, Wato finds herself in a quandary.
Triggers: same triggers for the previous part apply.
SPOILER:
We left Sherlock after she made a disturbing discovery,
Toru is probably involved in the virus case, and Wato spent the night with him two days ago. I can't fathom what Sherlock is thinking now. Does she regret not talking to Wato about Toru's supposed psychopathy? We don't know, but apparently Sherlock has a plan, and orders Ota to turn the car because their destination changed, and she begins to send a message to somebody.
At the same time, Wato is with Moriya and Doctor Irikawa, trying to convince them to leave Tokyo, because the virus will be released that evening.
Sherlock is chased by the police, because they told Wato they have all the evidence they need to put her into jail. Anyway she's still convinced that Sherlock didn't steal the virus or kidnapped Mitsuki killed and her fiancee. She's outraged when Irikawa asks her if she believes Sherlock is a murderer.
And finally we learn who Sherlock was contacting while she was threatening Ota: she sent a message to Wato, telling her she's waiting for her. The two had picked a place to meet in case of an emergency, and that place is the church were Sherlock took refuge in the last two days. I think it's sweet that Sherlock informed Wato about her secret place, even though maybe from her point of view it was just useful. Since apparently only Kento knows about it, it's pretty indicative that Sherlock considers Wato as close to her as her own brother.
Toru offers to go with Wato, and they leave. They didn't realize that Reimon and Shibata were stalking her, so when they set off, the two cops immediately pursue them.
I also think that this isn't the street where Doctor Irikawa's house is? It's completely different, maybe it's Toru's address?
The church is located in a small park, and as soon as they get out of the car a bunch of police cars arrive at the entrance of the garden, and in the span of a few seconds the whole place is full of cops.
Wato is furious with Reimon because she realized he followed her.
Reimon is embarassed and entrusts Wato to another cop.
The rest of the team enters the church, and they find Ota there, bound, gagged and with a time bomb to keep him company.
They free Ota and run away while the commissioner orders to call the bomb squad, but when the timer rings, they discover that it was just a joke: there's no bomb, it's an alarm clock taped to... well, I think it's a piece of cheese?
The commissioner il furious, but the prank worked: firstly, it amused Reimon a lot. With his sense of humor, he's probably the only one who thinks it's funny.
Secondly, it gave Sherlock all the time she needed to steal one of the police cars. Lol, look at her.
All the team runs to try to catch her, but it's too late. She just hops into the car and speeds away, and the last look she exchanges with Wato is... well...
In the next scene we find Wato sitting against the church wall, evidently after what happened she decided she needed to be alone for a while. Her confidence that Sherlock isn't a terrorist or an assassin is beginning to slowly crumble. Toru joins her, telling her he called Doctor Irikawa, and that the therapist is very worried for her.
A cop runs out of the church saying he found a the special box that contained the vials of the virus. But the box is empty, for the police is clear that Sherlock brought the rest of the virus with her. So the Commissioner tells Wato that Sherlock has the virus and killed Mitsuki Kurata (an information that probably still hadn't found a way to her), imploring her to help the police finding Sherlock. The situation is dire and a lot of people will die, so they need her to cooperate, now.
The recovery of the box and Mitsuki's death seems to be the final hit to Wato's disgregating trust in Sherlock. Reimon asks her if she lost her faith in her friend and for the first time Wato doesn't know what to say.
It's late now, and Kento is imploring Kirishima to hold the press conference, at least to buy time. Sherlock is near to solve the case, the press conference would be an invaluable help.
Kirishima refuses, because he insists he has no idea of what this supposed 'terrible crime' is. And anyway, he doesn't want to commit a political suicide.
Kento tells him to do it for the Tokyo citizens, but Kirishima tells him to go out and find the virus, as he was tasked to do.
A few minutes later, Sherlock enters Toru's apartment to search it, but she's interrupted by Kento, who alerts her Kirishima refused to hold the press conference. Sherlock is not surprised. Politicians, am I right?
She informs her brother she is at Toru Moriya's apartment, explaining he's a war photographer and he has the virus. Kento has to help her to find him. He must have picked a place to release the virus and she's looking for clues. Finally she finds them in his camera: it's the Tokyo Station.
And Sherlock, since she cares, runs immediately there. And while she leaves, she notices the same picture Wato saw the previous day, and just like it happened to Wato, it gives her pause. And she draws the right conclusion.
Toru Moriya has the virus, Toru Moriya is in contact with Stella Maris, Wato is in love with somebody who is a terrorist and close to Stella Maris.
Oh no.
It's 6.05 pm, the terrorist in question is in his car, recording a message.
From the way it starts, it's probably the sort of emo whining you'd expect: when you see this I'll be dead and blah, blah, blah. But we'll be able to watch the whole message only at the end of the episode. At the same time, Sherlock is scouring the station looking for him.
It's almost 7.00 pm and Sherlock is exhausted, but she seems to realize something.
So, when Toru tries to cross the street in front of the building to enter the station, he finds behind him a pissed off Sherlock who keeps him at gunpoint.
And she takes her phone to make a call.
At the headquarters the Commissioner and the team have absolutely no idea of what to do. Wato is there (and I don't know what kind of elements she could add to the investigation, firstly because, well, Sherlock is innocent, secondly because Wato is evidently too distraught to function). Reimon answers to his phone and of course it's Sherlock.
Meanwhile, Sherlock brought Toru on the roof of a building, far from the people, her intention is probably to keep him there at gunpoint until the police arrives. To her, the case is closed.
And she berates herself because she didn't realize it sooner. He stole her fingerprints during that damn party. He planted the vials in the church. He conspired with Mitsuki Kurata to steal and spread the virus (and that's why Wato found his book at Tezuka's apartment, I'll add).
All of this in the name of what Mitsuki called justice?
Toru tells her he met Mitsuki in a war zone. It was him the one who discovered Teinichi Chemical misdeeds, and Mitsuki said he would help him. Apparently the village was completely destroyed and the survivors had no homes anymore. The whole tragedy has been covered up without remorse. Somebody had to punish them.
Sherlock logically asks him why million of innocents have to die, especially children. Now, where's the virus?
Well, Toru decided to sacrifice himself, because he' infected. It will be him the one who will punish the culprits, re-enacting that tragedy here in Tokyo.
Ok, he's gone now. Completely lost in his lust for revenge. He will change this hideous world and he will make "that person" happy.
Who, Akira Moriwaki? Sherlock asks, because she already understood what happened to Toru: a man destroyed by trauma who fell in Moriwaki's hands and became a terrorist.
And he tries to leave, even though Sherlock threatens to shoot him. In that moment the police arrives, with Wato in tow, and the scene they see is pretty damning: Sherlock who is keeping Toru at gunpoint, while he is completely unarmed.
Sherlock is distracted for a moment when she sees Wato, but she takes a decision: she can't allow Toru to move closer to Wato and the cops, because they risk to be infected, so she shoots him.
Shibata tries to catch her, or maybe to help Toru, and only Reimon's quick intellect, making him understand that Toru is infected, stops the young cop.
Wato is devastated and Sherlock hasn't the time to stay and explain, so she flees after taking Moriya's cellphone.
When I watch this scene, I can't decide if Wato is in that awful state because of Moriya's death (like I said in the previous recap, they didn't know eachother for long, so it's improbable that very deep feelings were involved), or because she saw a person she knew and trusted, a person who, with all her flaws, always strived for taking culprits to justice (it's exactly what she did, her cinicism notwithstanding), shooting her apparently innocent boyfriend.
Anyway, Wato is so out of her mind that Reimon has to physically stop her from running to Toru.
At the ministry, they're all congratulating themselves because the crisis is averted.
Kirishima is especially smug.
Kento is not happy at all. He swears he will bring Kirishima and Teinichi Chemical to justice, because now it's a personal matter.
Sherlock had to kill the terrorist in order to keep the virus from spreading, to save 13 millions of lives Kirishima didn't care about.
Ah, yes, the killing. How did Sherlock take it? Apparently, not well.
She is hiding under a pedestrian passageway, and it's evident that killing Toru took an enormous toll on her. For the first time in the series, we see her absolutely freaking out.
But she tries to get a hold of herself and check Toru's phone, finding the farewell message he recorded earlier.
The message is for a certain person who showed Moriya who he really was. He will fight for what he believes in (what did I tell you? Emo whining). As his final request, he asks this person to take care of Wato. He's sure that at The Dock they all will welcome her.
And apparently this is particularly scary to Sherlock. Then he concludes:
And Sherlock laughs. Akira Moriwaki is Mariko Irikawa. Who in that exact moment is collecting Wato after her recent trauma completely destroyed her judgement. Wato, who is so in pain and so confused that she will for sure entrust herself to the therapist that helped her in these last months.
And that's exactly what happens.
And while Sherlock desperately tries to call Wato, even though she's aware she won't answer, the episode ends.
In the next episode: the ending, and more pain. Also, they're still not friends (maybe?).

Assassination Classroom x Genshin Impact AU
Character: Koro-sensei/The God of Death/Shinigami
Vision: Anemo (Current as Koro-sensei) ; Visionless (As the Reaper)
Reason: In Assassination Classroom canon, Koro-sensei can speed up to Mach 20, and can create a tornado using his speed. He also had a carefree personality as Koro-sensei, but hides a darker side and doesn’t want anyone to know him in his past life. Also, notice that majority of the characters with Anemo Vision in canon have lost someone at one point in their lives (Well, Venti/Barbatos, the Anemo Archon and God of Freedom, had actually lost a friend in a battle for freedom, causing him to take his friend's form...)
Backstory: No records were shown where he really came from or what is his real name was. Once a infamous feared mercenary of Tevyat called 'The God of Death', it was known by people in the underground industry that his skills in killing is exemplary with his clean-track assassination record. He was feared by everyone, from the businessmen of Liyue Harbor to the Knight of Favonius of Mondstadt. Even Fatui Harbingers of Snezhnaya have heard of him was rumored the legendary assassin to be working for them at times. Because of his track record, he was dubbed as "the Reaper".
It is also rumored to be visionless or using a Delusion he had stolen from a Fatui, as his track record as a person with a dark reputation and huge kill count on 'innocent' people had made the Archons and Celestia turn away from him in disgust. Turns out they were partly right.
Apparently, he was betrayed by his young apprentice he had met in Fontaine, who is actually working on the Fatui behind Koro-sensei's back.
He became a test subject of Kotaro Yanagisawa, one of the Fatui scientists whose experiments involves the Archon Residue and powers the powers of the Abyss and how it will benefit Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya in his ambitious project (Yanagisawa tried not to commit Dottore's mistakes with the test subject escaping again, but failed when it backfired and the now uncontrollable GoD had destroyed the lab).
Koro-sensei eventually received his Anemo Vision in a Fatui lab (in Snezhnaya, explaining his Anemo Vision's casing) when Aguri Yukimura, Yanagisawa's poor fiancee, died in his arms during his rampage.
To make it up to her, he decided to teach her beloved students that belong in an unknown Darshan in Sumeru Academia that only few people knew its existence, called Kunugigaoka (the Darshan for students who had issues in academic aspect and can't keep up with the academia's standards), while threatening the knights (and on hindsight, the Archons themselves) from the 7 nations where these students came from that he will lay waste among the land in a year unless the students will kill him. He really loves the challenge, and to fulfill his promise to the woman he loved.
He apparently carries Aguri's Masterless Vision with him (like the crescent moon tie in canon), when Aguri had told him before that he could carry hers in case if she died (since she knew that Koro-sensei can find a way to activate her Vision for him to use).
He had tried hard not to unleash the disastrous effects of the Archon Residue and the power of Abyss magic deep inside of him while teaching the kids in his own way.

9 serial comics/manga that live in my head rent-free
Thank you @yvesdot for tagging me!!!
With the exception of one, all of these are manga/manhua that I've greatly enjoyed and have read more than once (yes, even the unfinished ones).
From the top left corner going across, we have Akatsuki no Yona, Lout of the Count's family, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Full Moon wo Sagashite, Who Made Me a Princess One Day, SPY x FAMILY, Fiancee's Observation Log of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess, My Dress-Up Darling, and Abandoned Empress. And because I'm extra, below the cut I'm gonna give a (very bad) explanation as to why I love them.
Tagging: honestly anyone who wants to have a go!
Akatsuki no Yona
Yona's character development is just *chef kiss* Seeing her grow not only as a person but as a princess, while on the run, is honestly so gratifying. The majority of characters are quite complex, with different goals, motivations, backstory, that all end up playing into each other. And despite the fantasy elements of four of the main characters having the powers of legendary dragons, very little of the story actually has to do with fantasy/magic. A lot of it is Yona learning what her kingdom is truly like, the people living in it, and how she could help make their lives better.
Lout of the Count's Family
Cale Henituse is so aroace. I love him. This man is literally manipulating the events of the world and gathering up as much power as possible just so he could avoid getting punched in the face. I honestly just love how little to no romance this story has. It warms my heart.
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
Mix Jeanne d'Arc, Kaito Kid, and heavy artistic licenses on Christianity and history, and you get this story. It's a fun magical girl manga starring a highly competent main character and an entire rivals-to-lovers subplot. That and it's written/drawn by Arina Tanemura whose works were basically my gateway into shoujo manga.
Full Moon wo Sagashite
Another work by Arina Tanemura! This one made me bawl my eyes out. It stars a young terminally ill girl who dreams of becoming a famous singer and finding her first love but only has one year left to live. She makes a deal with 2 death gods to fulfill her dreams in exchange for quietly coming with them once her year was up. It's heart-wrenching, it's beautiful, AND THE SONGS THEY INCLUDED IN THE ANIME ARE GOOD OK. Eternal Snow my beloved <3
Who Made Me a Princess
Just really, really beautiful art by Spoon and an amazing Father-Daughter story. Also every time Diana appears on screen I am swooning.
SPY x FAMILY
THE PINNACLE OF FOUND FAMILY COMEDY. You know how in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, they both had no idea that the other was an assassin? Take that plot and dial it to an entire family except for nobody (but the kid) knows and everybody is trying to figure out how to act like a Normal Family TM.
Fiancee's Observation Log of A Self-Proclaimed Villainess
An early subversion of the Villainess trope where the entire story is told from the Villainess' fiancee. It's fun, it's wholesome, Bertia is best girl. I've read this thing 3x and it never fails to make me laugh.
My Dress-Up Darling
A cosplay romance story! A girl who loves to cosplay enlists the help of a classmate who knows how to sew. I've learned so much about how much effort goes into cosplaying because of this manga, and wow I have so much more respect for cosplayers now. It features a very wholesome classmates-to-friends-to-lovers plot.
Abandoned Empress (derogatory)
But Maddie, you ask. Why put this on the list if you hate it? It's because Abandoned Empress is the equivalent of a squatter who WON'T LEAVE. I have very strong opinions on this manhua, and overall don't recommend it. It had a somewhat strong beginning but the ending absolutely ruined what goodwill I had for it. Don't recommend unless you want to be cursed with its presence.

“You did what?”
It wouldn’t take a genius to note that twenty one year- old Princess Aelin Ashryver Galathynius was fuming. And it would have been to no one’s surprise if the princess herself brought the very palace down in flames herself in a matter of moments.
The Queen of Terrasen sighed and with a small shake of her head, daintily placed her teacup on the table in front of her. With her hands crossed in her lap, she turned her blue gaze to her daughter’s twin one, this one holding a fire many would cower from despite the girl’s young age. But it seemed that Evalin Ashryver feared no one but the gods, and she faced her daughter’s seeth head-on.
“Fireheart-”
“An arranged marriage? I wasn’t aware I was a doll who’s life you can just play with. Is this top okay or would you like to change me into a new pretty dress?”
Evalin merely rolled her eyes at her only daughter, allowing her to rant and fume as she pleased for what seemed like hours before the princess finally collapsed into the chair beside her, blue in the face and a vein popping out of her forehead.
“Fireheart,” she began again, this time gentler. “You have to understand, your father and I are simply doing what we believe is best for the country. For our people.”
“By selling me away? I’m not a child anymore mother, and I can make my own decisions just fine.” The anger had vanished, now replaced by a look of utter despair in the princess’ eyes as she gazed at her mother, an attempt to delay what she knew was inevitable.
“We know that Aelin, of course we do, and we would never do anything to purposefully hurt you. Terrasen is… is struggling right now, my love. You may be our only hope.”
The look in her mother’s eyes settled something in her chest and she realized there would be no fighting this- although she most certainly would try. Her parents were set on an arranged marriage for the Princess of Terrasen.
And as she stormed through the door of her chambers, Aelin’s thoughts settled on one in particular.
The Prince of Doranelle better be handsome.
~~
The Wild Princess of Terrasen, they called her.
Well- Aelin thought as she gunned the Corvette through the streets of the capital- if they wanted a wild princess, a wild princess is what they would get.
She remembered a time where her mother had rolled her eyes when her daughter had told her she wanted a Corvette for her sixteenth birthday. She didn’t even have a license, and she would never be driving herself, so what good would it do?
Aelin smirked. Apparently they were perfect for fits of rage.
She vaguely remembered a few lessons Brullo had given her when she had managed to bribe the grumpy body guard with cookies enough for him to teach her how to drive- unbeknownst to her mother, of course. Aelin bet that Evalin Ashryver would just about have a heart attack if she knew her daughter could drive.
Aelin swerved into the left lane without her turn signal, earning an angry honk and a few unkind words from the car behind her.
Well- sort of knew how to drive.
Oops, she thought. From then on, she turned her speed down just a bit.
As Aelin careened through the streets of Terrasen, she realized that as a princess, she truly had been deprived of her own country. Sure, she had been escorted through the streets during the annual parade, and her father used to take her to Malakai’s for her favorite cake every once in a while, but the streets she drove through now were unknown to her.
She passed jogging college kids and mothers with strollers and toddlers, couples holding hands and homeless people that scattered some of the streets. The sight made her heart clench and her knuckles turn white on the steering wheel.
Aelin was so focused on the people around her, she forgot to look forward as she drove through a glaring red light. Luckily there were barely any other cars around her, and the only indication that she had done something wrong came from a distinctly aggravated male voice screaming, “What the fu-”
“Shit!”
Aelin slammed her foot down on the breaks as her gaze came into contact with a man in front of her- she was going full speed towards him as she tried crossing the cross walk. The car came to a screeching halt directly in front of him, but the momentum proved to be too much as the Corvette did in fact make contact with him.
She thought time slowed down as the man went shooting to the ground with a groan of pain.
Yes, she had just hit a man with her car.
But her mother was going to absolute assassinate her.
Another loud groan from outside the window had Aelin shoving the car into park and flying out to the man in front of her, heart in her throat.
As she took in the man, she wondered what the odds were of hitting a person with your car and having them be one of the most attractive people you’ve ever seen. Pretty low, Aelin would think, but like everything else in her life, statistics did not seem to be on her side.
The man was clearly young, maybe a few years older than her, and even though he wore a thick winter jacket to protect him from the Terrasen winter, he was clearly built like a greek god. With silver hair almost matching the snow around him and tan skin that signaled to Aelin he clearly wasn’t from around here, the man could have been on the front page of any popular magazine.
“Fuck!”
Aelin kneeled down beside the man who was thankfully still conscious, face scrunched up in pain and clear anger. It made him look older, she thought as she finally looked at his eyes. They were a stunning green. She wanted to hit herself with her car. Of course they were.
“A-are you okay?” She helped him up, placing a hand on his lower back and pushing him up until he sat forward enough until he could support himself.
The man glared at her, teeth clenched in pain as his gaze burned into her own.
“Are you crazy?” he growled, his voice even deeper than Aelin thought it would have been. “Am I okay? You just hit me with your fucking car!”
Aelin jerked her hand away from him, suddenly defensive. “Look, I am so sorry. I- I wasn’t looking where I was driving and-”
The man scoffed. “Obviously.”
Aelin saw red.
“Well what the fuck were you doing on a crosswalk two seconds before the light turned red? You had plenty of time to move out of the way and you’re blaming me because you couldn’t look around?”
It was moments like these where Aelin realized why Elide’s fiancee liked to call her ‘fire breathing bitch queen.’ Sure, she could acknowledge it. She had just hit the guy with her car, and Aelin had foung a way to blame him.
“Maybe if you had been less careless about crashing Daddy’s car you would have been a bit more careful and we wouldn’t be here right now, Princess.”
Aelin almost slapped him, if not for the derogatory way her title slipped through his tongue. And that was when she realized that he had no idea who she was. The man in front of her didn’t look like an idiot. He wouldn’t be insulting her if he knew who she was. And Aelin realized she didn’t want him to know. Not as the words that spilled through her lips could ruin her entire legacy.
“Watch it.” The words were low and dangerous, and something flashed in the man’s eyes that signaled to her than he had caught the anger lacing her tone. “You don’t know shit about me.”
“I don’t think I need to. Nor do I care enough to want to.”
“Well you’re clearly fine, if you can spew ridiculous insults out of your head at the drop of a dime,” Aelin deadpanned. “So, can we wrap this up?”
“Gladly.” He made to get up, placing his weight on his arm as he pushed himself upward, cutting off with a loud gasp of pain before sinking back to the ground, his green eyes alight with agony. The sight made a pang shoot through Aelin’s chest and she grabbed his arm to steady him before his momentum his head careening toward the ground.
“Shit, we need to take you to the hospital.” She rose, already on her way back to the car.
“No way am I going anywhere with you.”
“That’s fine.” Aelin’s smile was purely saccharine. “You can stay here if you’d like. It’s supposed to drop to -10 in a few hours when the sun goes down but you look pretty toasty to me. Of course, your fingers will fall off before the ambulance gets here, so it’s really give or take.”
The man growled and rubbed a large hand through his hair.
“So what do you say, Superman?” Aelin gestured to the car behind her. “What’s the worst that can happen? I already hit you with my car today.”
If the tone of his voice was any indication, the man was in enough pain to barely put up a fight.
“Fine. But get into another accident and I’m calling the police.”
Aelin almost laughed. Little did he know that she owned the police.
It was only during the awkwardly silent drive to the hospital that Aelin realized the workers at the hospital would recognize her, and then the man beside her would. The thought put a sour taste in Aelin’s mouth. She liked fighting with this man- liked the fact that he treated her with the same amount of respect he would anyone who hit him with their car. Even if he was an infuriating prick of a man.
“Alright,” she pulled the car into park. “Here we are.” The man grunted in acknowledgment.
Surprisingly enough, the ER was close to empty on the Thursday evening and Aelin was grateful that it meant fewer people would recognize her. Who knew how the paparazzi would react if they saw their crown princess in the ER with an unknown man.
As if her ‘issues’ weren’t plastered in the tabloids enough already.
Aelin hadn’t realized how tall the man was until he was standing solidly behind her at the check-in desk. He was close enough that she could feel him at her back and she swore her shoulder had bumped below his own. Gods, he was strong.
She shook her head, clearing her thoughts, and turned to the man at the desk.
“Hi um, I’m here to check in a patient.” If the way the man swallowed was any indication, said patient was glaring daggers from beside her. He turned to the monitor in front of him and began typing something into the computer.
“And, what’s the reason for your visit today?”
Aelin cleared her throat. “Just- just a checkup. He had a bit of a fall, we just wanted to make sure everything is okay.” She felt what must have been a scoff from behind her but ignored it. The man nodded without looking at her or stopping his typing.
“Okay,” he finally said after a few moments of silence. He handed a clipboard to Aelin holding a few pieces of obvious paperwork. “Fill this out and give it back to me when you’re done. It’s a slow day so you should be able to meet with the doctor in just a second.” Aelin nodded, thanking the man and making her way to the empty seats across the desk, dragging her silver-haired friend with her until he collapsed into the seat beside her with a huff.
She ignored him in favor of flicking through the paperwork as casually as she could, attempting to not draw attention to the fact that she clearly knew none of the personal information about the man beside her.
Aelin leaned close to him and almost rolled her eyes when he leaned significantly away.
“Hey,” she whispered. She watched as he rolled his eyes.
“What?”
“What’s your name?” he leveled her with a confused look and she held up the paperwork. But really, what kind of an idiot hit someone with their car and didn’t ask for their name. Aelin was such an idiot. Such an-
“Rowan.”
“What?”
“My name. It’s Rowan.” She raised a brow,
“Rowan…?”
“Whitethorn.” Rowan Whitethorn. The name sent a pang of familiarity through her and Aelin struggled to ruffle through her mind to find where she had heard it before.
“What do you do for work?” The question was out of her mouth before she could berate herself for how stupid it was. His eyebrows shot up to the top of his head.
“Is that on the form?” his voice was defensive but Aelin shrugged nonetheless and Rowan sighed before running a hand through his hair. “Let’s say I’m involved with politics.”
Aelin grimaced. Maybe that was why her mind had blocked out his name. Anyone involved with any kind of politics was automatically dislikeable in Aelin’s eyes. She had been around enough politicians to recognize their slimy exterior.
Rowan clearly noticed her face and scowled at her. “Well not all of us have a choice in our future just because we’re young and irresponsible.” Like you, was what he didn’t have to say. Aelin wanted to kick him. If only he knew. Instead, she rolled her eyes and looked back at the sheet in front of her.
“Date of birth?”
“December 8, 1995.” Aelin almost dropped her pencil but instead turned to Rowan, surprised to find him already looking at her.
“Seriously? You’re twenty- five?”
“What’s your point?”
“All of the high and mighty, ‘I’m your elder’ attitude and you’re only four years older than me.” She shook her head and turned back to the form, ignoring the glare she could feel burning into her skull and trying her best not to think about how good Rowan smelled from beside her. She never would have thought that the scent of pine could be so intoxicating.
“Place of birth?”
“Doranelle.” Aelin wondered if he knew anything of the infamous prince she was to marry. She really should have done some more research before storming out of the palace.
“Height?”
“6’ 4”.”
“Any allergies?”
“Blondes.” Aelin ignored that one.
“Any family history of fatal medical issues?”
“No.”
“Type and reason for pain?”
“An irritation in my head from the woman beside me.”
Aelin threw her pen at him and watched as he winced before looking at her with wide annoyed eyes. But she frankly didn’t give a fuck anymore. She could have let him freeze to death outside and here he was complaining about her.
“You know, this whole thing would be a lot easier if you weren’t such a prick.”
“Actually this whole thing would be a lot easier if you hadn’t-”
Rowan was cut off by the clearing of a throat in front of them, signaling someone had come through the door. The two had been too preoccupied with one another to even notice the doctor standing in front of them.
She’s beautiful, with cinnamon skin and curly hair, and she wears an amused smile on her face as she looks between the two. Aelin and Rowan automatically calm themselves into an acceptable demeanor and Aelin stands to shake hands with the doctor in front of them, handing her the unfinished paperwork.
“Alright, Mr… Whitethorn. I’m Doctor Towers and I’ll be helping you out here today. Why don’t you come back here with me and we can check you out.” Rowan stood up to follow her out of the room before Doctor Towers turned back to look at Aelin. “You can come too, Mrs. Whitethorn. We’ll probably need you to clear a few things up.”
Aelin hated the blush that sprang to her cheeks at the implication that she could be married to Rowan, and she almost laughed. As if she could ever marry someone like him. Their protests are cut off by the creaking of the door and neither Aelin nor Rowan bothers to correct the doctor as she leads them to a section of the hospital filled with open hospital beds and shitty curtains for ‘privacy.’
Pulling one shut, Doctor Towers gestures for Rowan to sit on the bed. Once he does, she leans back on her heels and pulls out her own clipboard.
“Okay, what seems to be the problem today?”
They’re silent for a moment, both looking at each other with wide eyes, not knowing what to say. Eventually, Aelin clears her throat.
“Um, we had a bit of an accident-”
“I would hardly call it an ‘accident.’ She-”
“He decided to walk through a crosswalk during a green light and-”
“You hit me with your car!”
It seemed the entire hospital went silent for a moment before sound resumed once more and Aelin allowed her head to fall into her hands.
“It wasn’t like that. I-”
“You slammed straight into me!”
“I barely knicked you!”
Doctor Towers had been watching the sparring match between the two with wide eyes, clearly still hung up on the fact that he had been hit by a car and was still alive. It took a moment before she shook her head and scribbled a few things down on her piece of paper.
“I hate to ask this,” she cleared her throat. “Was this- um, a crime of passion?”
Aelin and Rowan stared at her blankly before turning to each other, both confused. She tried again.
“I mean- when a wife hits her husband with a car-” Realizing what she was implying, Aelin and Rowan were quick with their rebuttals.
“She’s not-”
“I’m not his wife!”
“Most definitely not-”
“As if I’d ever marry this prick-”
“I would rather hit myself with a car than voluntarily pledge myself to her.”
Aelin rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her defensively. “Now that’s a little dramatic.”
“Well, you did hit me with a car.” If Aelin didn’t know any better, she would say that it almost looked like amusement twisted his lips.
“You’re never gonna get over that, are you?”
“Not likely.”
Doctor Towers cleared her throat from beside them, causing the two to snap their gazes back to her. Whatever they found there had them shut their mouths like scolded children.
“So…” she arched a brow. “It was an accident?”
Rowan nodded while Aelin muttered, “Unfortunately.”
Doctor Towers ignored the comment in favor of looking at Aelin closely. She watched in despair as it clicked in her head who exactly was standing in front of her and Aelin found herself holding her breath. But surprisingly enough, the doctor said nothing, simply turning to Rowan with a knowing look.
“So Mr. Whitethorn, what hurts?”
“Besides everything?” Rowan grimaced as he circled his shoulder. “Mostly my shoulder. I don’t know if I pulled it today specifically, but it’s been bothering me for a while. I think today just aggravated it.”
“It could be a stress fracture,” she mused. “Has anything happened recently in your life that could have caused your anxiety and stress levels to shoot up? It could be anything really from, an increase in work to a big change or big news…”
Rowan let out what Aelin assumed was some sort of laugh. She ignored the shiver it sent down her spine.
“You could say that.”
Doctor Towers didn’t press for more information, merely nodded and wrote something down before looking at Rowan again.
“The only solution I can really offer you right now is to ice it as often as you can for about eight to ten weeks, and it should heal on its own. No cast necessary.”
“Really?” Aelin exclaimed, unable to hold back the relief in her voice. Maybe her mother wouldn’t kill her after all. “That’s great.”
“It is,” Doctor Towers gazed at her through a knowing smile and narrowed eyes. “Just try not to hit people with your car anymore Pr-, ma’am.” Aelin almost laughed at the comment, even more at the mistake she had almost made, but instead nodded with a small smile.
“I’ll see what I can do.”
Turning to Rowan, Aelin found him already watching her, a strange look on his face as he gazed between the two women. He opened his mouth to speak when the door to the ER burst open, and the Queen herself strutted through.
Aelin thought that if a look could set a flame, she would be ashes by now.
She felt herself pale as her mother walked toward her on near-silent footsteps, leaving citizens bowing in her wake. But the Queen only had eyes for her daughter. Very angry eyes.
“Aelin Ashryver Galathynius,” she hissed, and Aelin tried not to cringe. “You are in so much trouble young lady.” Aelin opened her mouth to defend herself. “Sneaking out, close to Yulemas in fact, when crime rates are highest, stealing a car-”
“It’s not stealing if it’s mine-” Her mouth snapped shut at the look her mother gave her.
“You’ll come to learn Aelin, that as future queen of this country, you have a status to uphold. You have an image- a reputation, one that should not include sneaking out of the palace unsupervised and ending up in the ER.”
She felt the words like a stab to the heart. Aelin knew the last thing her mother wanted to do was hurt her, especially with her words. But Aelin felt the truth of them to the bottom of her toes, and she was swept into a tidal wave of disappointment in herself. No wonder her parents wanted to marry her off. Of course she couldn’t lead a country on her own.
“Mother, I’m sorry I snuck out. I was just so upset with you. And do you think I meant to end up in the ER? I hit him with my car for Gods sake! I couldn’t just-”
“You’re the princess?”
The surprisingly choked voice came from Rowan, and the two pairs of Ashryver eyes snapped to him in a millisecond. Rowan was looking at Aelin like he had never seen her before, and she frowned at him in confusion. Maybe he hadn’t met a princess before, but this was hardly how she thought he would react. It was as if he was going to be sick.
From beside her, Evalin let out a strangled laugh and Aelin gazed at her mother incredulously. From beside her, Aelin’s mother burst into peals of laughter.
“Well, this is quite the situation, isn’t it?” she laughed. It was a moment before she composed herself and turned to Rowan. “Rowan Whitethorn. I suppose introductions aren’t necessary.”
Rowan was bowing, green eyes hard as they met Aelin’s and stayed there, even as he addressed her mother. “Your majesty. Allow me to express my gratitude for welcoming me into your country.”
“Oh, that won’t be necessary,” Evalin insisted, still smiling as if she couldn’t believe what was happening. “You’re practically family, after all.”
And that was when it hit her.
Let’s just say I’m involved with politics.
Doranelle.
Recent stressful news.
His name.
Rowan’s eyes were on hers as the realization struck that Aelin not only fell into the statistics of people who hit attractive strangers with their car but also happened to hit members of royalty.
No- Aelin thought as she gaped at her betrothed- she most definitely did not fall in favor of most statistics. But they had fallen with her on one account.
The Prince of Doranelle was handsome.

Illumi's family arranged for him to marry the daughter of a famous murderous family, his fiancee has the personality of Violet Evergarden, they have a son together, but before Illumi finds out about the child, she breaks up the marriage! 5 years later he found out about the prodigy son, what would his reaction be? Would he try to get custody of the child or would he force the reader to remarry and start a family? (Illumi Yandere obsessive)
So, I had a bit of fun and made this a little scenario! Though, to answer your question, he'd force reader-chan to remarry him and play family. I hope you enjoy this little ditty!
To be fair, betrothal had a track record for being somewhat fickle in the longevity department, Illumi could admit that. He'd wanted his marriage to you to take after his own parents' relationship, long lasting, happy, stable. However, you had been stubbornly independent from the first day he'd met you when he was 12, all because you had come from your own well off, assassin-trained family. That fact had pissed him off as a child, it'd annoyed him the most as a teen, because at 16 you were particularly enthusiastic with your defiance of his rules and commands, and it hadn't sat well with him when you finally officially married him, but he'd tried to negotiate with you and keep the peace. You obey him, he won't use his needles on you, win-win.
Guess not, since about a year into the arrangement, you'd been able to worm your way through a loophole that let you divorce him. Hence why you were currently playing a nasty game of tag.
That was something of the last straw for Illumi. He could learn to manage you going against his rules, he could put up with your stubborn personality and spiteful refusal to give up birth control, but he would never allow his wife to just walk out on him. So, when you'd vanished, he of course went looking for you, which was a hassle and a half since you were trained to work in his line of business. So, he tried not to be annoyed when his hunt lasted for a few years, but it really did eat at him.
I'm about to just declare (y/n) dead and find a new wife. He thought one day, five years into his hunt, while he trudged around a shop with his mother's list of demands in hand. As time had gone on, Kikyo Zoldyck, Illumi's mom, had made a habit out of sending him personally to grocery shop so he would stop fuming around the estate. So, dressed in one of his sweatshirts and some shorts, Illumi was standing in a store, grumpily musing over what to do about his runaway wife while finding the stuff his mother asked for. Suddenly, just as he turned down another aisle, he spotted a strange child all alone in the pathway, looking down at some candy. "Where are your parents?" he asked, and when the boy looked up at him, his eyes narrowed. He was looking back into his own dark, bottomless eyes. "Where is your mother?" he asked again, his voice somewhere between calm and tense, but the child acted as if he didn't hear any of the malice in Illumi's voice, just turning and running off down the aisle with his chosen candy in hand.
Swiftly, Illumi put his own shopping down and went after him, following the young boy down a few aisles before losing him in a small crowd. So, the man huffed, clenching his fist and repressing the hot rage coursing through his veins before returning to his shopping and just going to buy everything he had, his mother would have to send a butler to finish the list later. However, while standing in line, stewing in his frustration, confusion, and wrath at the potential answers he was thinking up to explain the odd child, the long haired assassin struck a gold mine of luck. Out of the corner of his eye, walking towards the exit, he spotted the familiar puppy-patterned shirt of the toddler he'd seen earlier, but this time said child was holding onto the hand of a woman.
So, acting quickly, he put his things down again and went after the duo, catching up to them and grabbing the woman by the wrist when they were outside in the parking lot. "Hey!" you snapped, whirling around to face Illumi, that sickly familiar look of aggression instantly giving you away, "(y/n)." Your name was curt and rather inexpressive, but Illumi's aura held all of the underlying meaning and threat he needed for your narrowed, (e/c) eyes to flit through a multitude of emotions. Terror, anger, back to fear, than back to anger, and finally, a cold, hateful, calm. "Can the Zoldycks really not afford a dictionary? We're divorced Illumi, you have no right to bother me." you hissed, yanking your wrist out of his bruising hold while inching your son behind you. "We can talk about the 'divorce' later, as for my rights, I have quite a few when it comes to my child." He pointed out, glancing down to the dark-eyed child behind you, getting an evil look in response, "He isn't your kid, fucker. You're not the only man I've slept with, stupid." you shot back, barring your teeth at the murderer-for-hire.
For a long moment, the two of you stared one another down. Both were obviously pissed and full of malice, but with a small child that could likely be Illumi's so close, neither could express that aggression, whether it be through their auras or a vitriolic fight. So, they were somewhat stuck in a stalemate until Gotoh broke the tension, "Master Illumi, would you like some assistance?" He offered, bringing to your attention that you were caged in by two butlers and Illumi. To make things worse for you, Illumi caught that realization in your body language and relaxed a bit knowing he'd finally got you back. "Let's just go home. Gotoh, call the doctor for a DNA test, I'll need it for the kid." Illumi said, breaking the hateful staring contest he'd been in with you to once again look at the small, (your hair color) boy you were doing your best to keep from him. "Fuck off, Illumi, I'm leaving." You snapped, refusing to give in without at least a tiny fight, which the man understood, but he refused to let you go again. "That's where we're going, (y/n), home." he assured, and before you could argue again or attack him, Gotoh put a hand on your shoulder and firmly led you to the car, letting Illumi follow, in a far better mood now.

Work of Art Wednesday: As an artist Callum has made many amazing pieces of art over the years, family portraits and sketches of the most important people in his life. But now he finds that one of his greatest works of art is the sight of his beloved wife Rayla on her back heaving with pleasure and exhaustion, her belly round with a health soon to be born child, and a gentle stream of his seed flowing out from the lips of her pussy.
oh wow anon you know which brain cells to tickle
Callum has drawn many, many portraits of Rayla, both when she was just a would-be assassin and their odd companion, then as his girlfriend, then as fiancee, and finally as Lady Rayla, his wife.
But he has crafted a much more ikportant piece of work when one moonlit nigh Rayla clamped her legs around hic torso and asked him to pain her womb with his seed. And with each thrust, a picture a young boy or a girl was drawn in their mind, until finally it came in full colours with their orgasms, as Rayla's lips sapped the magical essence of his balls.
And with each month, that picture became clearer and clearer, as Rayta grew in size, brimming with happiness, though on many occasions she said she needed some more "finishing touches" from her artist..And Callum gladly finished, on her face, her lips, her breasts, and inside her pussy, watching as the glaze reflects either the cadlelight or the moon.
On one hand, he wished he could draw these lewd images, instead ofg having them just burn in his mind. On the other, he knew he can see them every night if he's done his husband duties...

For I Such Yearn Chapter 2: For I Search
Morning already hits for Elizabeth, waking up by the sunlight shining to her face. Paula appears in her room, setting up for today's morning.
"Good morning Lady Elizabeth! What are you planning to do today?" Paula claps her hands. "I actually wanted to do some investigation on Mey-rin" Elizabeth mention. "Really? What brings this up?" Paula asked. "Well, Mey-rin and I hang out in the City of London yesterday. Mey-rin remind me of Ciel but in a different way. She dropped hints for me and all, treated me with respect. Don't tell my mother about this" Elizabeth explained. "I won't, don't worry Lady Elizabeth. Good luck for researching on Mey-rin" Paula bows.
Elizabeth joins with her family on their daily breakfast. Elizabeth of course ponders about the hints on Mey-rin of what she is as a person. Though, she doesn't want her family to be suspicious of why Elizabeth acting like this today so she ignored these thoughts until she is alone. After Breakfast, Elizabeth is in her Library, looking at the books that academic that Mey-rin and Ciel would read.
"These Academic books what Mey-rin reads are usually accessible for the rich... unfortunately. But what Academic books would she read?" Elizabeth took out the Academic books.
Elizabeth notice the Academic books that reprinted them from centuries ago, especially from 15th century.
"Hmmm, Mey-rin also mention she study Demonology as well. But, there's no books about Demonology....unless we have one here" Elizabeth looks around the titles for demons on it.
Elizabeth looks at every bookshelf and still nothing about demons. She is frustrated at this, knowing that researching on Mey-rin is hard as it is.
"Man, sometimes I wish have inhuman abilities to solved everything but it'll be to easy and boring" Elizabeth comments.
Elizabeth checks on the academic books, looking at the titles and noticed the book from the 15th century that she took out, it reads 'Pour un tel j'aspire".
"That's weird, why the title is in french" Elizabeth noticed the title.
She opens the book to see Latin words on the pages above, it seems like it can still be translated. She turn the pages to see it is full French sentences. Now she can read and understand French taught by her tutors and Latin she's gonna learn soon but why this book is full French.
"This is interesting, let me see what I can read from it here" Elizabeth begins to read.
Elizabeth noticed the word frères et sœurs meaning siblings in french.
"The two demonologist who consider themselves siblings are the strongest in centuries ago, both of them disappear and never seen again. The male french inquisition and contract demon was executed by his people and female assassin goddess left her people after his brother death. It was the end of the age demonology and never brought to life again after the two siblings left their home country Saint-Zacharias, France"
"Yessh..., I feel bad for the male french inquisition, he didn't deserve that fate" Elizabeth somber.
Elizabeth checks on the author name, written by Gregory Simon. Her eyes narrows, how did her family got a hold of this book?
"Hey Lizzy! Your fiancee is here!" Edward shouts. "Huh?!" Elizabeth jolted from her brother shouting. "Yessh, it seems like your deep into your reading. Hahaha! It sounds your improving your intelligence baby sister, that's great!" Edward noticed. "Ummm, yeah right I am Eddie! Wait, why is Ciel here?" Elizabeth questioned. "I have no idea to be honest" Edward shrugged.
Elizabeth took her book to her room and place under the drawers to hide it. Elizabeth sighs, really bad timing for Ciel to come, she felt like there's something more to this book then it lead on. Elizabeth left her room, went downstairs to the entrance to Ciel and Sebastian.
"Hello Ciel, Sebastian, what brings you two here? It's a surprise that your here at all" Elizabeth asked then chuckled. "You never asked me to come here" Ciel answered. "I do want to but your busy with work and guard dog mission, how can I ask you to come and visit when you so busy all the time" Elizabeth mention.
Sebastian raise an eyebrow on Elizabeth, it seems like Elizabeth is expressing her problems towards the Young Master. It's not like it's false, the Young Master schedule have always been busy and never bother to put aside a day off or a break just to spend time with Lady Elizabeth.
"I....supposed that's true" Ciel acknowledged what Elizabeth said. "Well anyway, it's nice that your here but ummm, you two can go back home now, besides anyway Ciel, you have work to finished" Elizabeth insisted. "I can stay with you, I can work tomorrow" Ciel quickly respond. "Oh...that's nice...I guess?" Elizabeth surprised by his words.
If Elizabeth gonna be honest, she wanted to read more of the book, to know the truth why her family has that book and wanting to find out about Mey-rin. But maybe she ask what Ciel wanted to do, maybe chess and books that he likes to read.
"We play chess if you like or we can go to the library to talk about the books we've read" Elizabeth mention. "Fine by me, we can play chess in the library if you like" Ciel responded. "Okay then, great" Elizabeth shows a small smile.
At the Library where Elizabeth sets the chess at the table and set up the pieces. Ciel is black pieces and Elizabeth is white pieces. Elizabeth knowledge of chess is difficult at times, she knew how easy Ciel will beat her, she felt bad that she's not an opponent for Ciel at all.
"Checkmate" Ciel place the pawn in front with queen behind the pawn. "Good game, must've been easy for you" Elizabeth comments bitterly. "You can ask me to help you get better at chess Lizzy, I don't mind at all" Ciel narrow his eyes. "No don't worry, I don't want you to waste your time on me. Look, it's already getting late, you work tomorrow right?" Elizabeth mention. "Are you okay Elizabeth?" Ciel reacts with a concern tone. "Yeah I'm just not myself today, that's all" Elizabeth sheepishly rubbed her neck. "I noticed that, if anything you want to talk about, you can come visit my mansion" Ciel insisted.
"Yeah right, like I can believe that Ciel" Elizabeth comments bitterly.
"Of course, thank you Ciel" Elizabeth smiles warmly. "Have a good night then" Ciel left the library with Sebastian.
Elizabeth sighs in relief as she heads to her mother who is currently reading on her bed.
"Mother, can I ask you something?" Elizabeth asked. "Of course dear, it's nice that you finally spoke to me, you've been to quiet lately today, are you alright?" Francis expressed her concern. "Yeah sorry for worrying you though Mother. I need to know, why did you have book called "Pour un tel j'aspire"?" Elizabeth mention. "Oh, I figured as much, that book has been there since my mother has it" Francis close her book. "Grandma Claudia? Why does she have that book?" Elizabeth asked. "During her Guard Dog years, she actually took a demonology mission by mistake! She found the book during a raid when the Demonologist fighting off Rouge Demonologist, she took it because one of the Demonologist told her to keep it and let the person who knows this will find it some day. I never got to read it but did you read it Elizabeth?" Francis explains then asked her. "Yes I have, it was full of French, it's about two Silbings, one is a male french inquisition and contract demon and one is a female Assassin goddess, the male was executed by his people and the female left her people for good. I felt so bad for them, cause I felt they suffered so much even before reading the rest" Elizabeth informed as somber the thoughts. "Well, continue reading it, your smarter then everyone looks, whatever it is, I know you can do it, I know you can" Francis smiles at her. "Thank you Mother Elizabeth hugs her. "Not a problem dear, now have a goodnight" Francis kiss her forehead.
Elizabeth heads back to her room, opening up her drawer with her book, continuing to read in French book, a paper fall out from the book, she opens it and it's written something the caught her eyes on the message on the paper, it reads;
Votre professeur, Gregory Simon
(This is my last message to you two, Sebastien, Mey-rin, if you read this, I'm sorry that you two have suffered, being chosen as a goddess assassin and an contracted demon isn't what fate wanted to be. Whatever path you choose to follow, I hope it'll make you two happy,
Sincerely, your teacher, Gregory Simon)
It all makes sense now, why Mey-rin is into Demonology. But also, her brother book is name is Sebastien then....what is it that the both of them did during the 15th-16th century? She highly doubt they are rouge demonologist but...she still ponders what happen to them.
"For now I know what Mey-rin is, I hope for the best she answered but still...what unknown what I got into exactly?" Elizabeth looks at the book.
Elizabeth shakes her head, trying to clear her mind for today discovery she have learned today. She put her book under the drawer as she sleeps away, this time more at ease now knowing and hopefully the answer for Mey-rin.
Here we are, something interesting is gonna happen! I hope this chapter is good enough for you all! Remember that I wrote this for fun and it somehow turn popular, I'll be shock but anyway! See you in the next chapter!

Let's Talk About NatsuMikan: Natsume (pt. 27)
The closer we get to the end, the more nervous I am, and maybe you are too, because things are going to go horribly awry and only suffering is to come. Fate is adamant that a specific twelve year old must die, and we really have no choice but to watch it all unfold.
In this part, we will discuss the chapters building up to the New Year's Concert, where Reo will attempt to assassinate the ESP.
Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Six
Ruka finds Natsume in the snow. He asks where he’s been, and Natsume responds that he went to see Mikan. Natsume imagines that Ruka will be jealous, because he feels guilty. He’d been putting his own wants first this whole night, and he hadn’t even considered Ruka.
Expectation vs. Reality. Ruka, best boy.
But Ruka is not jealous, or he’s very good at hiding it. He beams at Natsume, offering only congratulations and support. He’s happy for them, that both of their wishes came true. In fact, Ruka was also wishing for it, that Mikan and Natsume could find each other.
Natsume apologizes, because Ruka’s cheerful support only makes him feel more guilty, but he doesn’t tell him for what. He will not recount the details of the night, particularly of the many kisses shared between him and Mikan.
There’s a happy moment between Natsume and Ruka until, of course, Natsume starts coughing violently. He coughs up blood again, and when Ruka asks him if he’s okay, he’s ready to downplay it, already hiding his hand so that his best friend won’t worry. But Ruka grabs his hand and looks at the blood on the glove, and there’s a somber moment between them. Natsume tries to talk, but Ruka knows he’s just going to try and downplay it again, so he interrupts.
The best friendship in all of fiction. I stand by this forever. You can't change my mind.
Ruka has watched Natsume suffer the whole time they’ve been at the academy, even before then. He might not have had all the details, but he’s known that Natsume’s life was agony. He was helpless, and even became a burden (in his own view, not Natsume’s). He pleads with Natsume not to hide from him anymore. They’re meant to be best friends, and all Ruka has ever wanted was to be Natsume’s support system, but Natsume shut him out in the guise of protecting him. He keeps all his pain locked away and deals with it on his own.
Watching someone you love suffer and not being able to do anything about it is a tremendous pain, Ruka says. Natsume must sympathize. He will say something similar later on about Mikan’s situation.
Ruka loves Natsume. Natsume might have thought that he dragged his only friend into a bottomless pit of despair but Ruka asserts he’s never once regretted following him to the academy, not even for a second.
Ruka is confessing now. Natsume must know now that his existence is important to at least two people who love him unconditionally, but he doesn’t internalize it. Maybe he can’t. He’s too stuck in the role of martyr that straying from it would go against the very fabric of his own identity. He exists and has always existed to protect others. Protecting himself or even considering himself doesn’t align with that identity. No matter how much Mikan and Ruka plead with him to keep himself safe, he can’t abide. They’re more important than he is. He fails to see how much heartbreak and sorrow he will leave in his wake of self-destruction.
Natsume can’t internalize it. He can’t take it in and change course. It’s too late for that, in his mind. But he can tell Ruka the truth, because supporting Natsume is all Ruka wants.
He confesses too. He’s afraid. He doesn’t like thinking about the future, not even a year from now, because he’s scared he’ll be dead by then.
He says his secret fear out loud, that he won’t be able to protect her, and it’s still so heart-breaking that he still only sees his own value in how much he can protect people. He will shorten his own life to get her out of the darkness she’s ended up in. He doesn’t see worth in his existence just for the sake of living, of breathing, of smiling and laughing and crying and existing. Instead, his value is conditional. He is only so good as he is able to protect others and when he can’t anymore, then he is no longer valuable. It’s a glaring sign of a ridiculously low self-esteem.
He wants to choose life! He wants to live! Oh, this makes it worse...
But something has changed. He doesn’t want to die. He wants to live and be with her forever. He can’t be with her if he’s dead. It’s a selfish thought, and as I’ve been saying, that’s a wonderful thing. If only that selfish impulse were stronger, than maybe things wouldn’t be so doomed in the coming week. But Natsume’s ingrained martyr complex is stronger than anything, and his new flicker of selfishness doesn’t stand a chance.
Ruka promises he’ll do anything to support Natsume and Mikan’s future together. And so Natsume asks Ruka to protect Mikan if he’s no longer able to.
I personally don’t think he’s handing Mikan over here. This whole conversation’s context is specifically about protecting Mikan, and how Natsume wants only to keep her safe, even at the expense of his own life (though he’s actually more cavalier with that than he lets on, so it’s not much of an “even”, is it?). If Natsume is dead, he wants somebody he trusts to watch over her and prioritize her as he has. Who better than Ruka, who loves Mikan too and will want to keep her safe as well?
Or. You could just. Not die. Just a thought.
Natsume has never treated Mikan as an object to be won. He’s in fact made several comments about not “competing” at all. If he was able to give Mikan to Ruka, those two would be together now already and Natsume wouldn’t be the one holding Mikan’s alice stone. He is not any more capable of giving her away then he’s been before, and he’s less motivated to now than he’s ever been. Mikan is his, after all. Why would he “give her away” so soon after promising to be together forever?
He’s only concerned with Mikan’s safety and freedom here. If he dies in the pursuit of that, which he will, then someone else needs to make sure she’s safe and free. What she does with that safety and freedom is not in his or Ruka’s or anyone’s hands. I imagine Natsume, who got jealous of Mikan thinking of all her important people when making her alice stone would also get jealous at the thought of Mikan falling in love with somebody after his death. It might occur in the distant future, but it probably wouldn’t be any fun to imagine.
You may disagree with me, but I just can’t see it that way. I just don’t see it.
Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Seven
It’s New Year’s. Mikan’s birthday. There’s a celebration happening in the dorms, just like last year, but Natsume isn’t dressed in traditional garb to welcome the new year and feast like all the other students.
Instead, he’s waiting for Narumi in a hallway.
He wants all the information he can get, so he can get Mikan out of her cage sooner. Narumi isn’t talking, always willing to act dumb to get out of things. But Natsume knows better. He saw Narumi in the flashbacks, and knows how much Narumi loved Yuka. He would’ve done anything for her, even if it resulted in his own death. Narumi should understand how Natsume feels, then. He knows Mikan is suffering and in danger, but he can’t do anything about it. He says something to the effect that he shouldn’t even be living at this point, again reiterating that his life only has value if he’s able to protect people, particularly Mikan. If he’s unable to do that, then he might as well die. There’s really no difference, he says.
Jeez, kid, relax.
Narumi tries to point out that Natsume is dying, as if perhaps the kid is unaware of this, but Natsume grabs him and declares that he will not end up like him. Natsume seems to understand Narumi (probably more than I can! Haha) and that his life has been empty and soulless for a long time. Narumi is full of regret and has been for years, but Natsume won’t be like that. He won’t live with regret. He’ll do anything he can to save Mikan, and he’ll die without a single regret. He also claims he won’t give up on the idea of sharing a future with Mikan, and that makes the inevitable doom of their romance all the more tragic. Natsume isn’t planning on dying. He’s not imagining that he doesn’t even have a full two days left to live. He’s thinking he’ll push himself to the end of his rope, save Mikan, and then live happily ever after. It’s naive and childish and ridiculous that he really believes he can have his cake and eat it too, but he does with his whole heart.
"I want to live," is enough for me. I stopped reading after that. LET THIS KID LIVE.
Natsume tells Narumi to stop underestimating him for his age. But Narumi agrees: he doesn’t want Natsume or any of the other kids to end up like him and his generation did. He wants things to be better, for the new generation to have a happy and hopeful future to look forward to instead of surrendering to a life of misery and regret.
Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Nine
Natsume and Ruka are something like partners-in-crime now. They both know that taking out the ESP is the only way to free Mikan. They are spying on Reo, who has come under the guise of performing for the New Year’s concert, who spills that Z wants to assassinate the ESP.
Tsubasa and Tono quickly join the conversation, although they’re somewhat unwanted.
Reo keeps talking, and now all four of them are privy to his plan. Tono scolds Natsume for trying to get involved when it’s obvious Z is already on the case. Let them do it, he says. Keep yourself safe instead of putting everything on your own shoulders. Naturally, this is Natsume we’re talking about, so no amount of logic will get into his head, but it was worth a try, Tono.
Natsume's little face here is my favorite. His little angry expressions are always the highlight of any page.
Hearing this warning, Natsume can see the sense in it. He doesn’t want to leave his fiancee alone and heart-broken by his loss (more proof that he doesn’t really believe he’ll die) tomorrow, but to his horror, Koko was reading his thoughts aloud.
Natsume is embarrassed to be put on the spot, and he didn’t want to hurt Ruka’s feelings, so he takes out his anger on Koko. Then he punishes Tsubasa for teasing him about how fast he’s going with Mikan when Tsubasa is actually just slow with Misaki. Then it’s revealed that Tsubasa did finally confess to Misaki and got the answer he wanted, which only pisses Natsume off more, inexplicably. He’d be angry either way, just because it’s Tsubasa. He probably just wants to take the focus off himself and the fact that he’s already proposed to Mikan.
Tsubasa was in fact inspired by Natsume’s commitment to protecting Mikan. He confessed because his kouhai was so determined. But he also expresses concern for Natsume’s recklessness. Protecting people is a worthwhile pursuit, but so is valuing your own life. Other people depend on him and love him, and losing would hurt. He doesn’t have to do everything on his own. Working as a team can ensure his safety and keep him living longer. They’re all on the same page, after all, so why not join forces and get it done more efficiently without Natsume being the martyr again?
Yeah, Natsume, go to therapy. Like, yesterday.
But as the group splits up, Ruka holds Natsume still. He wants to talk about what happened on Christmas, but Natsume doesn’t. He’d rather keep that to himself, not at all willing to hurt Ruka’s feelings after he’s been nothing but supportive.
But he can’t lie, and Ruka has expressed interest in hearing all the truthbombs Natsume can dish out, so he comes clean. They exchanged alice stones. It looks like it pains Natsume to admit it. He’s consumed by guilt for the role he’s played in hurting Ruka. But Ruka is still just happy for him. He again offers congratulations, and all is well until Koko announces that Natsume and Mikan kissed a lot too. Apparently, Natsume has been thinking about the kisses so often and shamelessly to the point that Koko is concerned.
Ruka gets upset, but not out of jealousy. He hits Natsume rather pathetically, adamantly demanding that he be honest and tell him everything instead of keeping secrets all the time. Ruka doesn’t care that Natsume has been “selfish” and has kissed Mikan and gotten engaged with her and met with her. He is a fan! He’s Team NatsuMikan now too! He just wants Natsume to stop lying to him, not even to spare his feelings. If Natsume can’t be honest, then Ruka can’t do his job of supporting him. Friendship is a two-way street and can’t work if the friends can’t rely on each other for help and support. Going through good and tough times together is the key to any lasting relationship, and for that to work Natsume needs to talk to him instead of holding back.
Ruka is so cute here. Absolutely adorable. I shall adopt.
Natsume apologizes and the chapter ends on a light note, with the four of them teasing each other and laughing.
But tomorrow will be a different story. Many horrible things will happen tomorrow night, and the bright future Natsume has finally allowed himself to consider will burn up and die.
Conclusion
In the Rapunzel story, the prince was blinded and forced to walk around the forest unable to look for his lost love. I imagine that's why the chapter title image for Chapter 147 has his face covered in bandages. The story of Rapunzel is a tragic one, but it ends in a happily-ever-after. The consolation we have is that the story of NatsuMikan is more like the story of Rapunzel than of Romeo and Juliet, though it certainly doesn't feel like it for the next thirty-something chapters.
I didn't reread this at all before posting because I'm really tired. Thus, I claim no ownership over any mistakes. They can't be helped.

Scandal of the Century (WIP 1)
[You probably have to actually remember the relevant scenes in FotJ (Backlash in particular) to understand a lot of this. I do not apologize for that.]
”'As the local security personnel arrived and conversed with Fel, Jedi Solo and Jedi Zekk kissed each other in full view of the holocams.'“
