A couple of book cover commissions for the science-fiction novels by author Darcy T Paulin. The synopsis he provided for the art descriptions was wonderfully diverse and created an enjoyable challenge to incorporate each unique element into the cover. ✨🐙🚀✨

Destroy an Enemy by Making Them Your Friend

🐙❤️🙂 Illustration for a D&D campaign. After rescuing the missing kobold leader the party decides to befriend the malnourished kraken that had unintentionally been holding Nux captive. Forging a new friendship with the aquatic behemoth reveals insight into the strange portals appearing in the mine and fortuitous news that a young kobold, long thought dead, may still be alive, albeit on another plane of existence. 🐙❤️🙂

ILLUSTRATION - Blooded Grung Warrior

👹❣️🐸 Illustration for a D&D campaign. Bulrup, the leader of a grung tribe, was badly injured in battle. As a valued friend and neighbour to the swamp dwelling party of monsters, the oni invented a blood ritual on the spur of the moment to save him. Using his own regenerative blood, the oni successfully healed the grung's wounds. However, there were side effects. A month after healing Bulrup, the grung was stronger, bigger, and had sprouted a couple of oni-like horns.
