So they knew what was coming, and he delivered. What would've been a perfect time to pivot to some other language - you know, like how diplomats are supposed to - was wasted instead by the guy staying his predictable course.

It's not just vile. It's lazy. And to send someone so lazy to a conference at this level speaks volumes for how much authority Israel think this forum has, and how much respect they think it deserves.

I'm sure - or at least I'd like to believe - that everyone leaving is doing so out of solidarity with Palestine, but if I wanted to be purely corporate about it? They're just as free to leave so they don't waste their time. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Israel has nothing new to say, no interest in a different way to say it, and sees no reason to start an actual conversation. He carries on like it doesn't matter if other people are there.

I'm honestly surprised there's still an Israeli representative at all. If he's not trying to get a conversation started, and if people are walking out because he isn't trying, why's he wasting his time? If Israeli wants to be represented, why is this the representative they've picked? He's ineffectual at best, and meaningless at worst. He has no impact here.
