Nazis are a threat to everyone. We know this, we understand this. HOWEVER. Goyim, non-Jewish people, I'm asking you to think before you speak on Elon's actions.

Yes, the people trying to insist it was just a "Roman salute" and meant nothing are infuriating, but I have seen responses to it that do nothing more than encourage neo-Nazis and their sympathizers. I've seen "comebacks" where people say "Go do a "Roman salute" in a crowd", "go do it in front of a Jewish person". I just saw a video of someone saying, "Better yet, find yourself a synagogue, and go do the "Roman salute", and see how that goes... bet you won't."

You are putting Jewish people in danger. You, leftist who thinks you're being so smart and witty with your comeback, are encouraging neo-nazis to threaten Jewish people. "Better yet"? Go find a synagogue? Go find a synagogue, go there to do the Nazi salute, and that's the better option you're suggesting to them? What you're doing is telling a Nazi that they need to actively harm Jewish people to prove their beliefs to you, and I can tell you that encouragement is embraced by them.

Jewish people are already going to be one of the main targets of any Nazi or white supremacist group, but half of you are actively offering us up for your "gotcha" moment. Y'all don't think before you speak, and you need to examine why you would ever think to give specific ideas on how to harm Jewish people to neo-Nazis who have just been emboldened to a level we haven't seen in decades.

the way they light their cigarettes okay. Louis and Armand always lighting their own cigarettes, until the end of episode four in s2, where Louis lit Armand’s for him with his powers as Armand called him maitre. while Louis and Lestat had always lit their cigarettes with the others light, never really lighting their own or lighting the others for them in any other way.

does it represent their true attempt at living as equals? maybe. their codependency? probably. their intimacy in all things, certainly. but what does that mean for Armand and Louis so far? healthier with proper boundaries until now? or showing a lack of that same intimacy?

September Book Club Book Selection

In September, we will be doing another Holligay book club!

The book will be the English classic there was a lot else I was going to say here but I decided I didn't really want to affect how you individually think of the book by Evelyn Waugh

BRIDESHEAD REVISITED

I loved this book when I read it in college, but full disclosure I haven't read it since then. Interested to see how I look on it now! This is one of the more contemporary choices for Holligay book club--it was published in the 40s and the language should not be a barrier in the way older books sometimes are for some people.

We're doing this because my mom watched the miniseries and loved it, didn't know it was a book, and got super excited when she told me what she was watching, and I said, 'Oh I fucking loved that book"

She responded, "It's a BOOK???" with great excitement, and she's very excited to be in her first Holligay book club.

If you are not in North America but would like to come PLEASE tell me, and tell me what your time zone is, and I will do my level best to make that possible. I don't mind! The more the merrier!
