the early seasons of the walking dead are such a wild look into conservative southern masculinity. the world ended and the men were all playing cowboys and making the women scrub their skid-marked underwear. a couple dudes thought they could keep everyone safe with a few guns and unearned confidence. and it did Not work

season 2 of twd but every single person on the farm slowly gets pulled into the rick/lori/shane love triangle beef. it goes something like: andrea hooks up with shane (canon) now she’s squaring up with lori (not canon). maggie misunderstands why glenn got lori abortion pills and thinks he’s the baby daddy. now maggies squaring up with lori too. andrea and maggie just tag teaming a pregnant lady wwe style. shane catches wind of this now he’s fighting glenn. rick jumps in starts fighting them both. daryl feels left out now he’s throwing punches at everybody. carol doesn’t know why this is happening but she’s backing daryl up with a steel chair. carls there he’s got a gun
