lava lamps are so powerful they hold so much ability. you turn one on and well any number of benefits. the soothing mood lighting. the fascinating observation of the "wax tower" as it warms up. the hypnotizing bubbles bobbing up and down. and you can pick from so many different colors shapes and sizes of lamps. one of them is so big it could kill a small child if it toppled over. they only ever made one prototype. lava lite llc had it in their entryway for a bit and then relocated it, i imagine due to the obvious problem that it was a giant lava lamp sitting in their public entryway both very attractive to kids and palpably thirsty for their blood, and now no one knows where it is. it has never resurfaced and one must assume its either in storage or being used in a private persons home, hopefully with no small kids or pets around. its name was the colossus starship. how fucking sick. anyway my point is lava lamps are really cool and heal your depression

I picked up a slew of art books over the past couple of weeks and I especially love this Darkstalkers one.

Anytime an art book actually dives into the whole "Here's a bunch of proto-designs of a character before we settled on the final design" it's just like please inject that shit into my veins
