"This character is fucked up and evil" frankly, 90% of the time that's simply not so. Evil, sure, but you can't just tack on "fucked up" willy nilly – it takes a lot of work to get all the way to fucked up and evil. A lot of the characters that are popularly described as fucked up and evil are really banal evil, or pathetic evil, or classy evil, or dramatic evil, or confusing evil – and don't get me wrong, these are all important parts of the ecosystem of evil, but they're not fucked up and evil.
