a light, a blessing, or a bruise: the dishonored au!!!! dishonored au my beloved! (not a fic but check out whale's dishonored art pieces here & here & here they make me feel insane) this fic actually got me to start playing dishonored and the world is. so interesting. the way casper has translated the characters is FASCINATING. great fic I fucking love it.

I truly don't know what else I need to say about it. lilith's brain melts out of her ears because of camila's strap. There's healing from trauma. there's more sex. listen. we all read the tags we all knew what we were getting into.

Shroomyystar on ao3 (I think they're @cranechel on here?) has some bangers. most of these are rated M or E, for good reason. they're darker or they're just abt sex so your mileage may vary based on what you want to read but they're all tagged appropriately!

golden hour is an avatrice fic HOWEVER it's set at camilith's wedding and the way ava just describes lilith as scary and whipped is truly so funny to me

Let's stick with Remedyverse fics for this question. In that case... I'll pick:

Five Times Ilmo Hugged his Brother (and the Time he Didn’t) - because for spoiler reasons, we all know why Ilmo doesn't hug Jaakko at the end. It's otherwise a fluffy or hurt/comfort fic until the end and then bam! Angst!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I have done in the past, to the point I've needed to block them on ao3. Just the other day, I got a transphobic hate comment on an old fic. Luckily, it hasn't happened with my current fandoms.

9. Do you write smut?

Quite often, yeah.

10. Craziest crossover?

It's more an AU than a proper crossover, but recently I wrote an Alan Wake fic set in a Zero Escape AU.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

A few times, yeah. It was super flattering to be approached with the offer to translate my fics!

I've got a half-written oneshot for Critical Role somewhere in my drafts that I never finished. It's about a character getting hit with the Feeblemind spell and the others looking after him.

I like to think I'm good at dialogue.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I really struggle with fight scenes.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

If the character drops dialogue in a different language in canon, it only makes sense to do it in fic too. Case in point: the amount of Finnish idioms and swear words I've learned because of Ahti.

19. First fandom you wrote in?

This would've been way back in 2012 when I was 13. On fanfiction.net, I posted (really cringy) fics about The A-Team.

Although, techinically, the first time I wrote a fic was when I was 6. I didn't know other people did it and I certainly didn't share it. But I've got an old story (and illustrations) in a notebook from like 2005 when I wrote about Charlie and Lola, a British kid's show.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Just sticking with Remdyverse again... currently I'd choose:

Episode - part of my autistic Odin series. It's angsty, but also has lots of protectiveness from Tor and Bob being a good friend. i just really like writing about the Old Gods at the moment and I'm especially proud of this one.

1. How many works do you have on ao3?

15, shockingly.

2. What’s your total ao3 word count? 142,962, which 60k of that is towards yeehaw/shadow currently.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Currently just Star Wars, but I do write for L4D2 on tumblr!

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Love In An Elevator - a VERY old SpiderVenom fic that is by far probably my legacy on a03 despite it having been abandoned back in 2016. It was mainly a massive fluff piece of Eddie and Peter falling in love while meeting each other in the elevator of their shared apartment complex and soon enough, Eddie's past comes back to haunt him. There was a time where I had planned to make a 3-parter to finish it, and I lost that outline for it years ago and just never had the motivation to write it again.

2. Burnt Coffee - Another fluffy SpiderVenom of them waking up together post sex and just enjoying each other's presence. Another very old one. But it was a short and sweet one-shot that even I still read back on to this day.

3. Pipe - This was a Corvo/Outsider fic that was based around a single tweet from Harvey Smith about how Corvo would, on the occasion, smoke a pipe for something special. So I wrote about Wyman proposing to Emily and them becoming engaged and Corvo smoking a pipe as a celebratory thing. There he's visited by Outsider and some trippy vague sex happens and the god spends the night. This was probably the fic that really solidified my repetitive writing style that I still use today.

4. Pluvial - Another Dishonored fic. This one was written post the first game, with uncertain chaos ending of just the Outsider giving Emily her first meeting with him. It was more of a character study into the two and was before the novel and the second game had been announced. I had planned on making a sequel years ago called Petrichor, but never got around to it. I'm now realizing that 2/3rds of my Dishonored fics are titled with the letter P.

5. This Isn't Bourbon - I'm actually... shocked that this is the next one for Kudos. This is a short Modern AU fluff one-shot of Ronin and Tara from the movie Epic. Where Ronin fucks up on asking for a Bourbon Old Fashioned and asks for chocolate milk because he's smitten with the bartender (Tara). I wrote this one in a night when I SHOULD have been working on a project. To be honest, I was shocked this one even got up as high as it did for anything, as it was just a silly little thing. But then again, the Ronin/Tara people are hungry for anything,

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do respond to comments! I don't get to all of them, but I do try to respond to all of them. Certain ones on old fics (like Love in an Elevator) I tend not to as they're just reminiscing on the fic being left alone. But if I post something new or I'm just flattered by the comment (wHICH TO BE FAIR, I'm always flattered???? some of y'all are too fucking nice), I try my best to respond! Interaction is always fun for me.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

OH FUCK that would be Birdcall! I had been playing L4D2 once and everyone had died (playing realism mode, so no respawns) and Ellis caw-caw'd out expecting a return (as if the team gets separated they'll caw-caw back, or at least Coach will?), and never got one as the team was dead. So I decided to write up a literal all hurt no comfort fic of the team dying one by one and Ellis have to make it through the Parish chapter himself. And when he gets to the end of the game and onto the helicopter, he gets excited and turns to tell the team but remembered he was the only one left alive. I cried typing it ngl.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

If we're talking the longer fics I have, that would be Connor Get Your Priorities Straight, an Assassins Creed 3 collection I did of Connor and Mason Wheems connecting and falling in love over the course of a year. Each chapter was written during the season/weather I was currently experiencing (since the game took place near home of good ol' Boston) and was just them living their lives. And of course, it ends up with them together .

8. Do you get hate on fic?

Since moving to AO3, I have not received any hate. I used to get a lot of hate back on fanfic.net from the infamous Fox Familiar if anyone knows of her. And then some general odd hate in ways of mockery from others. But since moving from there, I've received none, and let me tell you it helped a LOT with the self-esteem with writing as I was still a minor when I got the hate.

9. Do you write smut?

I doooooo~ On occasion, for the most part. I've done a few PW/oP's and then emotional PW/P's. Of all the longer pieces I have none have smut chapters (very soon to that changing). I've come to realize, however that my best smut is when I write it as like, an experience, rather than explicitly. It's about the intimacy, the connection, the feelings, the experience, rather than just Person A does this to Person B. Person B does this to Person A. Which, do not get me wrong, I still love it when I see it, and it's a VERY fun way to read and write, but I find that I struggle with that style. So weird experimental stuff it is!

10. Do you write crossovers?

I could. I don't think I've ever written a crossover outside of roleplay? But I haven't yet!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

ONCE. There was that HUGE breach a few years back on AO3 where a bunch of peoples fics got stolen onto a website that requires you to pay to even look at it, and I had to send like 3 e-mails to customer support with a copy-paste about stuff. This was back in like... I think 2019? And they'd nagged I think my Uncharted fics and my SpiderVenom ones.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have not! I do know that I have a few Spanish speaking readers (who've made a few comments before) that I would love to translate the fic for, but I know I'm not skilled enough in Spanish (and the Spanish I know is Puerto Rican-slanged Spanish) to do so. I know, in time, I do plan on writing a fic in Irish once I get better at the language (I'm still learning!).

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have not! It's something I think about a lot when it comes to my friends and such, writing something together but I have no idea if I can beat my walls down to let someone else take over on things when it comes to how I write and such. It's SUCH a thing for me. In time, I would love to. Where I'm at right now? Probably not.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

All-time??? Gosh. I think, of all the ships I have, there's one I keep coming back to, regardless of time and place, it's something that I think of so much and how much I joke about how it's the blueprint for all future ships of mine, and that's Corvo/Outsider. It's the one I think of the most between all my hyper fixations, and it was one of the first ships that my partner and I had gotten into and done so much with before we even started dating. And to this day it is an important ship to the two of us.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t?

Love In An Elevator. I feel like it's awful parent, neglecting it for years despite the fact I had written out a whole 3-parter outline to finish it up. Maybe, in time, I may try to again, down the line. But it would be a wild jump from 2016 writing and 2023 writing as I went through an entire degree and developed more and more of my writing style. But I lost motivation for it years ago. So there's always this hesitation of "Oh I'll pick it up!" and then I sit there knowing I would end up dropping it again.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I don't know. From my point of view, there's always things to improve upon. I've come to discover, with the recent writing of shadow of the mountain, that I've got a good voice for many of the characters, understanding their motivations, their tones, etc. And I find that my sense of writing pure dread and fear tends to work well as that's something I've been working on in ttrpg horror campaigns. (Hi Barq, I still think about the time I genuinely scared you and I'm still very VERY SORRY, I LOVE YOU)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Planning. I have only recently started making outlines for my works. And even then, I don't follow it to a T as I tend to keep adding and adding. ALSO, FUCKING COMMAS. I USE THEM TOO MUCH! SOMEONE STOP ME.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It's a situational thing. Certain things, like shouting out surprised ( "DIOS MIO!" for example) is fine, as it's part of being bilingual. I found myself shouting in Irish the other day at someone who cut me off! Without even thinking! As well as if the other person is also speaking in that language, go for it. But those fics where the character says something in a language that they had never spoken in in cannon without the explicit headcannon being mentioned, and then all of a sudden "oh sorry, I forgot you don't speak that"/"oh sorry, it's hard to switch out sometimes", I DUNNO MAN, rubs me the wrong way. This is also coming from someone who has English as their first language and is currently learning Irish through an app, and Puerto Rican Spanish through proxy of partner's family. But that language stuff CAN work, it just has to be in the right setting and make sense.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

First one I wrote for on AO3 that wasn't me moving things over from fanfic.net was actually Uncharted! But over all, from years ago? Wee me who was probably 14 or something? Either Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

That would be the one I'm currently working on: shadow of the mountain. This is the first BIG fic I've written in a long time. The last big one being to catch smoke for the Dishonored Big Bang 2017, of which feels tiny in comparison to the current one. Shadow has been such a test of my skills to where I joked about "nothing is a coincidence" to the point where I had to make a tag for it because of how much intertwining and interweaving this fic has with itself. There's still so much I haven't fully revealed yet and so much I've hinted at (that some have caught on to) that I'm just--it feels good to write it. It feels good to push myself to something so intricate for each and every detail since the very first sentence. I can't wait to finish it.

😍Dishonor On Your Cow (mandarou) - 111K, shrunkyclunks - this fic is just fucking hilarious and so, so good - I had forgotten just all the great moments AFTER the initial meet-ugly, like bucky (sort of) becoming a cat and a multiverse Steve and repeated guest appearances by deadpool

🙂👂‍Curtain (Hercule Poirot #44) (Agatha Christie, author; Hugh Fraser, narrator) - though published last, it was written right after WW2 which made it interesting to read after later written novels. I've always thought this was a solid end to HP though.

🥰👂‍A Thief in the Night (Gentle Art World) (KJ Charles, author; James Joseph & Ryan Laughton, narrator) - delightful - KJC is an autobuy and never disappoints

🥰👂‍The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting (Gentle Art World) (KJ Charles, author; Cornell Collins, narrator) - reading Toby's story (A Thief In The Night) made me want to revisit Robin & Hart - I forgot just how GOOD this was in terms of exploring different power differences and communication styles and how everyone is always bringing their own baggage/interpretations to what one thinks is a straightforward communication - fascinating and complex

Loved ALL the characters and the plotty sometimes tortuous plot (very reminiscent of all the AC I've been reading). Gimlet (space Asta) is of course the biggest star. [There were one or two places where i had a flash of annoyance? irritation? at the plot/characters but I actually think this might have been because of the audiobook format? Like, if I had been textually reading i would have maybe rolled my eyes but it would have moved on more quickly. It was DEFINITELY a me thing, not truly a book thing.]

😊Murder on Board (Miss Underhay #10) (Helena Dixon) - Kitty & Co continue to be quick, light, cozy mystery fun. I do absolutely love the absurdly high body count this series is accumulating in such a short time.

🥰Clean Slated State (Justkeeptrekkin) - 42K, BlackBonnet AU with newly divorced/dating Stede & bartender Ed - fantastic characterizations, so enjoyable

at the moment, it's Baldur's Gate 3 and Dragon Age. There are plenty of others scattered around as the inspiration strikes, though.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

As many as I can! Sometimes I don't have the spoons. But fandom is based in relationships with other fans, so...I do my best to foster those.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably blood and a black sword, a fic for the Elric of Melnibone series. Elric tries to kill himself and fails, and while the ending is somewhat hopeful...the last line is his evil sword Stormbringer, which will eventually kill him and everyone he loves, being satisfied that he lived to fulfill his fate. It's pretty grim.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I write a fair amount of postive-ending fics. Gonna give this one to "Are You a Boy or a Girl?" a wizard101 fic about my nonbinary wizard dealing with gender norms in the Spiral and finding their own place.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nope. And if I did, I'd mute and block and move on.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, I do! What I write when left to my own devices tends toward the...unhingedly kinky? It's not safe, it's not sane, but it's always consensual! Which is also buckwild to me because I'm about as asexual as they (ha) come.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Oh this HAS to go to Task Force Winchester, a crossover between Supernatural and Suicide Squad. I have a few others that are right up there, but I don't write many.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! One of my FB fics, The Protector, and one of my SPN fics.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

YES!!! During my time in the FB fandom I did several, and now with Dragon Age I've collaborated on an entire au featuring my Inquisitor and Saar, @edda-grenade's Inquisitor. As well as a delightful merfolk au with the same cast and co-writer. :3

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

It's gotta go to Dean and Cas. Like, that was formative in many ways, but also...it just works. I love it. Always will. I was "out of the fandom" when it became "canon" and I still ran in circles shrieking with excitement, and promptly wrote a fic about it.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

There are several unpublished AUs floating around on my computer. The big one is a Pacific Rim/Crimson Peak one. I poke it every time I watch one of the movies.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Worldbuilding, writing quickly, and "show don't tell" in regard to emotions, specifically. I went an entire 30k fic without saying the word "happy" or "sad" and got no complaints from my beta about it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Spacial comprehension, where human limbs go and how far they can reach and/or bend, using ten words when one would do.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Please provide a translation. I've got some of this going on with the githyanki language in my Baldur's Gate fic, and I ALWAYS have some kind of in-text translation or a translation in the author's note. It's a fictional language, people don't speak it. Make it easy on the reader.

Also...make sure it works for the fic and the character. Random interjections (just according to keikaku/keikaku means plan) are awkward. If a character speckles their dialogue with interjections in another language, go for it!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Maximum Ride! Unpublished, all of it, but I have SO MUCH FIC laying around. Some of it is pretty decent.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Overgrown. It combines horror, romance, worldbuilding, and one of my favorite pairings with some of the best, prettiest prose I've ever written.

[To me, this fic is like the classic Stucky 101 fanfic – if you're a Stucky fan and you haven't read this, I highly recommend it. The authors explore the Steve/Bucky relationship in such an interesting, tragic, emotive way and I cry every time I read it. I couldn't praise this work enough.]

[I'm currently re-reading this fic and absolutely loving it. The way spitandvinegar writes Bucky's road towards recovery and Steve's entire characterisation – it's all just so good. It's another one that covers some pretty dark themes, so make sure you're checkin those tags!]

[basically the definition of a recovery fic, I absolutely adore it. This is tragic and amazing and makes me cry and smile. It’s got a bunch of fantastic cameos and It really just ticks so many of my boxes.]

Which is definitely a conversation Bucky’s been expecting since Steve just did it, but it still takes him by surprise. Again, he thinks he should wait for Steve, but Amelia’s not the sort of kid to let anything rest. Plus, Bucky’s taking her to school where she will undoubtedly share the story with anyone who’ll listen.

He also stops to think that Steve’s asked him to stay, which means Bucky must be trusted with their happiness and well-being, at least in some small capacity.

Bucky clears his throat and searches for some explanation that will help Amelia make sense of this sudden turn of events. “Because we love each other,” is all he comes up with.”

[Bear with me, this is a House Flipper!Bucky Au. And dad!Steve. I just love a found family trope I’m not gonna lie to you. Another comfort fic that warms my lil heart.]

I was tagged by @naralanis and I can already see her grin all the way from where I am xd Thank you, dear, for the tag, let’s see what are my answers, shall we.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

*bursts out laughing* Adding both pseuds I have… 535 according to the account info but by counting them all I’m reaching 541 so I’m guessing it’s counting some drafts I need to re-find.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

I seriously hated you for this one xd I was going to do it by hand by I decided one-third there that I value my mental stability a little bit more xd according to the stats page back at a03 that number would be 1257884. It may be wrong. I think there should be a few more numbers up there but the majority of my works are one-shots so *shrugs* There’s also the fact that counting my ao3 things only is shaving off like half of it Xd Anyway, can we laugh at the fact that I’m a pain in the ass and that I’ve written a lot? More than I should have, that’s for sure

3. How many fandoms have you written for?

Trick question because I haven’t crossposted everything I wrote back in ffnet and I actually erased some fics from my account back there so the numbers are a little blurry there.

When I had the entirety of my work posted both in ffnet and a03 I had written for: Twilight (Bella/Alice) Glee (Faberry and there were a couple Pezberry and I don’t fucking remember the pairing name for Santana and Quinn), Harry Potter (Hermione/Ginny, Hermione/Narcissa, Hermione/Bellatrix) OUAT (SwanQueen and several oneshots focusing on the mad hatter and the blue fairy solely back at ffnet that were written in Spanish and never translated), I actually had a veeeery old au prompt of Frozen (Elsanna in where I wrote them as non sibilings), Rizzoli and Isles (Rizzles), Dishonored 2 (Emily Kaldwin/Alexi Mayhew), Lara Croft and Wonder Woman, Supergirl (SuperCorp/Supercat) I had a 100 one -or maybe two??- (Clexa), The Shannara Chronicles (Amberle/Eretreia [Or Princess Rover], Rwby [Blake Belladona/Yang], The Worst Witch (Hecate Hardbroom and Pippa Pentangle), The Half of it, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Madam Satan/Zelda Spellman) and… I think that’s it(?) I may be forgetting some but probably nothing important if I’m not remembering it lol.

4. Top 5 fics by kudos?

Ah, we are going to go there, uh? Xd My works are not the kudos and comment getting type Xd So I was quite surprised when I went to check this.

1: Cracked it I wrote this one back in 2017, it was a prompt done by an anon: Lena is nerding with one of her projects at home, mumbling mostly to herself because she’s stuck and Kara casually mentions how to solve the problem like it’s nothing. I really had some fun with this. It was back when some us, SQeeners were fully doing the jump between OUAT and SuperGirl (I mean, there had already been some crossover as for fandom is related but this when the girls were actually getting their conjoined voice within the fandom)

2: Dateless I honestly needed to check what this one was about but I think I can see why this one shot has the amount of kudos it has. It’s a short and sweet idea and responds to the Teachers Au that went SO well with SQ. Everyone thinks they hate each other and try to set them up with other people whilst they, in truth, are dating. I don’t remember if I wrote them as married rather than dating but despite being from 2017 as well is one cheeky enough to be cool Xd I probably would edit some lines now *shudders*

3: After you I truly didn’t expect this one to be top 3. Makes me think of a lot of things, if I’m being honest Xd. After you was a one shot written almost feverishly as an answer to the fabulous drawings that Sejic did of both Lara Croft and Wonder Woman back at 2018 or something. It’s just Lara and Diana being himbos but not at all with each other.

4: How about… How about is one I remember perfectly, it was my answer to the ending of the Half of it film. I had SOME thoughts about it, let’s just stop there Xd I really liked the film itself but I think and I thought at the time that my response to wishing for a final scene at the very end of the credits responds to me being in a different personal moment than the characters. I really wanted to explore my feelings about it and so I wrote about them finding each other again after some time passes. It was also something I wrote after quite the hiatus so I took it as something I could write about without focusing too much on the why.

5: Come to me

Ahh, SuperCorp Xd I remember this one actually. A friend of mine and I were talking about descriptions, and she mentioned quite off-handedly how she wanted a fic in where Kara’s back was described. I complied… more or less.

Fun tidbit, despite the big volume of my work is obviously set in ouat there’s only 1 SQ fic there as you can see, the others are either SuperCorp or the random one shots I created for Wonderwoman/Lara Croft and The half of it. *sighs in deep thought* I’m also not going to look too much into how almost all of the fics were posted and written back in 2017. Nope, not at all.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why/why not?

I tend to always respond, yup. I truly value comments. I might have gone for spells of time in where I didn’t have the mental capacity to check in old fics because I truly didn’t know what to answer but I treasure every single comment and you all who comment know that I can start to ramble in the answers xd -sorry about that- I really really REALLY love interaction.

6. A fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending:

Ok, Nara, come on, this one is a catch for me. I’ve written angst in far too many fics to remember the angstiest one :P I have the most recent one, though, that is the easy one to think about: Goodbye.Written for @delirious-comfort. I’m just going to say “Kisses with their last dying breath” as an idea of what awaits inside but I’ve written about death and loss and angst quite a lot. There were some I wrote back to SQ with Regina needing to kill Emma during the Dark Swan arc that, to this day, I still love and some others in where Regina is the one that dies, again and again, trapped by magic while Emma watches. I have the loss in mental destruction form and… I REALLY like my angst y’know xd

7. Do you write crossovers?

Not counting Lara and Wonder Woman not really! I think it comes from the fact that I loooove worldbuilding as a whole and some pairings would require all my focus into making the world perfect which in turn would make me self conscious on the OOCness of it all.

8. Ever received hate on a fic?

*snorts* I’ve received hate due to the pairing I’ve written about, how I’ve written about it, the amount I’ve written, how slow or quick I can be, the usage of some tropes, the lack of usage of those same tropes… Let’s just go with: yuuuup.

9. Do you write smut?

I’ve written smut, yeah! But I can already see the pointed looks of some so let’s elaborate Xd I write smut when asked and sometimes when not asked but there’s a part of me I like to call a terrible tease that prefers writing the beginning of a scene, taunt it, focus on what happens before the sex scene per se as I find it more enjoyable to write. The process of escalation is always the best for me to see what can I do it by using both dialogue and descriptors tbh, so I tend to tease more than show.

9. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

A few weeks ago I’d have said: Maybe(?) But trying to follow the trail of some other fics that had been stolen from some friends -I think it was me trying to find more about the page that stole something from your Nara!- I found some pages in where my fics had been reposted. In some it was stated that the person posting the fic wasn’t the author but I had never been contacted in order to see if I’d say yes to such a thing and in some others the page was locked up but I could still see someone was pretending to be the author. I did the thing and got some of those down.

Pointed note: Ask me if you want to post or translate or anything. I will look into you and answer you if you seem honest about the thing. But despite every joke and self-deprecating comment those 500 and then some fics represent MY time so very kindly I say fuck off to those who wish to steal from me and if I catch you… you don’t really want to see me angry, trust me.

10. Ever had a fic translated?

I’ve given permission to some, yeah, but never heard it back from them so I’m guessing it didn’t stick.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic?

I’ve written series alongside other authors as @stregaomega for example. And some others that are unpublished -looking at you @carsonnieve - I’ve also done collabs… but fics co-written in the sense of two authors same chapters I don’t have anything posted I’m afraid :P

13. All-time favourite ship?

*snorts*, I guess the obvious answer is SQ uh? And I do think they were the ones that allowed me to read and write SO much. The one I feel more strongly about, however, is Bering and Wells from Warehouse 13.

14. WIP you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?

All of them counts as a valid answer? But if I only could finish one that would be Arcadia. With A forgotten Promise second and the one I did as an Assassins Creed AU third. (I don’t remember the name so there’s no link, sorry xd)

15. Writing strengths?

Uhhhh, you REALLY want me to say that? I don’t fucking know!! To me everything I write is garbage. I always try to go for the feelings so I guess. Dunno xd I’ve been told I’m good at worldbuilding and to be honest is what I enjoy the most.

16. Writing weaknesses?

Everything Xd Pacing? What I hate the most sometimes is dialogue, I would count it as a weakness but I’m always far too focused on description rather than dialogue. I don’t think it’s a bad thing per se but it’s something that I don’t do as much.

17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I’m conflicted. Always. Majorly because I think that having bilingual characters in fanfiction is portrayed and expected in a way that I don’t feel it’s honest with how bilingual people -us- talk. So if I go by what I know I do I think it’s not what readers hope to see when it comes to that and if I go for how canonically is hoped to be found I don’t think it’s logical. But that’s me and my overthinking Xd If I have the option I like to do it.

18. First fandom you ever wrote for?

Belice! Or Bella/Alice. Worst first fic ever but oh, well, I’m always saying that :P

19. What’s your fav fic you’ve written so far?

To be honest I like more thinking of concepts, I had one in where Emma was a thief and it involved the robbery of a ring that was Regina’s one way ticket to freedom I then later repurposed that I adored thinking about so let’s go with…. Yeah, I love having the option of changing things up a little and focus on how characters would fit in different aesthetics for this one Xd

Ah, I can’t even choose which WIP to work on, you think I can pick a favorite? Well, Omega’s Strength was a personal project, so there’s that. Beyond that, I’m pretty attached to my silly one shots in Snowdragon Tales. And Dishonored.

Your favorite fic title that you’ve come up with.

All the pun titles. All of them. And the best thing is, there are some that are stealth puns.

How do you get inspiration to write?

The movie theater that lives in my head never stops running, and eventually I just gotta put it down on paper. Where the AUs come from, that’s everywhere, but actually writing? The winds of fucking fate.

Your favorite genre/subgenre of fic to write.

Modern or sword and sorcery.

Do you have other hobbies?

I play video games whenever I get the chance. It’s nice to lose myself in a world I didn’t have to build. I used to read more but that’s harder to do nowadays.

A fun fact about you that a lot of people may not know.

I’m an asshole. Wait, everyone knows that, uh... I’ve seen every single Star Wars movie- except Episodes 5 and 8- in theaters and I know a bunch of random facts and trivia. Like! When it was originally released, Episode 4 was simply titled “Star Wars”, because it was never intended to be a trilogy or part of a larger universe; it wasn’t until Episode 5 was in production that Episode 4 gained the ‘episode’ and ‘A New Hope’ titles. Oh, and the original script had the protags as the characters who would evolve into Leia and Old Ben; Luke was added in during later revisions.

Fandom is like standing blindfolded in front of a pick’n’mix. I have no clue what I’m getting but, if there’s nuts- and there will be nuts- I’m gonna die or lose my shit. All in all, just go with the flow and enjoy the flavors.

do you respond to comments, why or why not? yes. i think it’s rude not to? it’s also a matter of self promotion as well because i think that if you answer comments people are more likely to comment again. i like getting comments and being noticed and ultimately commenters like being responded to by the author and feeling appreciated for reaching out. it’s a win-win.

what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? i’ve written a lot of angsty shit in my life, but i usually give things happy endings or at least somewhat hopeful bc, lets be honest, this is fanfiction and that’s what most people want. it’s probably a fic called dishonored from the svu fandom lol

have you ever received hate on a fic? yeah, i had a troll that would comment on every single svu fic i wrote for awhile and it was very frustrating because this was on fanfiction.net and there was basically nothing that i could do about it

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? i don’t really like it because unless you’re bilingual in that language then you have to flip to the notes to get the translation so that takes you out of the flow of the fic. just write it in the language you’re writing and add “he said in spanish” or something like that

for the ask: Wednesday, underrated fic?

Yessssss I successfully baited someone into letting me talk about Aliferous. Aliferous is my Fallout 4 Wing AU. It's also, of my most recent fics, the one that has performed the worst in terms of hits, kudos, bookmarks and comments comparative to fandom size and activity. I wrote and posted the first chapter while the fandom was still hot, still active. It's 4 years old and JUST recently broke 200 hits and is now sitting at 308. I track the stats of my fics way too much to be healthy, but in case anyone was wondering, around 200ish of those hits came from the first two months it was posted, with the majority of those coming from the first week. SO, that means for the majority of it's lifespan it's failed to accumulate a hundred whole hits. And this has baffled me for ages. I cannot figure out why the interaction with this fic is so abysmally low. In case anyone was curious, my other Wing AU's sit at 9523 for my Venom one, and 3586 for my Dishonored one. The rest of my Fallout 4 fics have decent hits and comments, 3964 and my two niche ones sitting at 789 and 122. It's important to note that when I say niche, I mean it. The 789 is my cannibalism focused fic and the 122 is my goretober fic about freezing someone from the inside and is graphic. The fact that the fandom is slow and yet something like that still managed to grab nearly half the attention that Aliferous got in its first month where it took the wing AU two years. When I decide what fics to write, I do so based on two things, my interest in the story and my reader's interest in the story. For Aliferous, while my interest was high, reader interest was not. So I shelved it when it under-performed. I only have so much time, and I don't want to waste it writing something no one will read. (Granted this year I did decide to revive it and wrote 30 more pages for an upcoming update) Note: I def do not expect niche fics to "do well". I set the bar low for fics I write that are for myself and like three other people who enjoy weird shit. But it really does eat away at me, I wonder a lot about why this fic in particular didn't get any attention. I have theories... 1. The writing just sucks and no one was into it. The fault was with me, the author, for writing poorly. 2. The Fallout fandom doesn't like Wing AU's. 3. The first chapter is set in the prewar section, a section that the fandom at the time was not fond of. 4. It's tagged as a poly fic. At the time the fandom wasn't too hot on poly ships. I'm not joking here. While there were a few, it was really uncommon to see, even though in the game you can have multiple partners. Ships were kept monogamous. 5. It's tagged as m/m. At the time of posting it, the fandom was also very hostile towards m/m pairs. Again, not a joke. This fandom had a habit of harassing queer male authors out of the fandom for writing their favorites as gay. However, of my fics, the one that did the best in this fandom was a male sole survivor/Hancock fic, so clearly people did want the content. 6. The title and summary are off putting. I've long debated changing the name to "Wings of the Wasteland" instead of Aliferous and then writing a more elaborate summary. I'm probably going to do both of those things when I update later with the next chapter. Anyways, thanks for reading this little mini rant. This fic has puzzled me for years and I still wonder what the fuck I did to get such little traction. When I do the update I'll also be rewriting and updating parts of the original first chapter, but I'm still really unsure of what turned people off to begin with, so I'm just guessing. I was just a little soul crushing back then to be so invested in a story and world building then to get near zero interaction at launch. **Edit/Clarification: There were parts of the fandom that were accepting of poly and m/m content. But there were also parts that were vocally not. I didn’t say those things to fling shit, or put people down. They were just... things that happened, that I watched happen. Nothing against early Fallout 4 fandom, for the most part my experience in that fandom was lovely and I met a few really good friends from it.

Absolutely, whenever I can! On some of my more popular fics (read: a better mirror), I was getting so many comments at once that keeping up was virtually impossible. I did my best, but a lot fell through the cracks. These days, writing for smaller and less popular ships, things are SO much more manageable.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

the quaking citadels of men is definitely it. I flexed my horror-writing muscles and I think I really achieved something great!

The entire cast dies at the end.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Unequivocally “a better mirror.” Everybody lives, it’s hopeful and happy all the way down, nothing bittersweet at all. Ignore the rest of the series. XD

Do you write crossovers? If so, What is the craziest one you’ve ever written?

Unfortunately, although it’s technically in the “crossovers” section, I don’t count Purely Commercial Speech because the U.S. government canonically exists in the Pacific Rim universe. (Is this a pitch? Yes, it is. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever written, please read it.)

Which means that Task Force Winchester, a Suicide Squad (2016)/Supernatural crossover, takes the spot as the craziest one I’ve written.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

No, I don’t think so. If I did, it’s been so long I’ve forgotten.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

On occasion. I tend to lose track of the “sexy” stuff because I like smut that focuses on something a little more realistic, with imperfect bodies, awkward moments, and occasional derailments. Also, I absolutely suck at keeping track of where people’s limbs are going, and more than once have sat there going “when the FUCK did you get a third hand???” Editing is important here XD

And yet somehow people tell me that the stuff I write is hot.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I’m aware of.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! gravity of tempered grace has a Russian translation and so does The Protector, The Thing In The Mirror has a French translation, and I’m aware that a Chinese translation of Task Force Winchester was written (with permission), but unfortunately it was never put on AO3, so I have no way to find it.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Lots of co-writing when I was a kid, before I ever discovered internet fandom. I co-wrote a fic for Fantastic Beasts (see you on the other side) with @chryselephantinechaos and writingramblr (whose tumblr I unfortunately can’t find now). I handled the SFW stuff: they did the smut.

Currently co-creating a whole AU with @apfelgranate: in a similar vein, she’s handling most of the smut and I’m sticking almost strictly to SFW stuff.

What’s your all-time favourite ship?

To be honest? Y’all, I’m still Dean/Cas trash. I dropped away from the show, but that ship grabbed me by the shoulders, shook me, and said this is what you’re sticking with. It’s good.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Never going to finish Black Magic Women, because I’ve really moved on from that, and I do regret that.

What are your writing strengths?

Worldbuilding, hands down. I’m at my best when I get to play with a big open sandbox and fill in gaps. How many people should really be in the Inquisition, if they’re fielding a thousand troops? What’s the actual food like in the Citadel? Did women work in police forces in the 1800s? That’s what’s fun to me, and I think it shows.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I fucking suck at brevity. Sometimes that’s good (it’s fine to write another novel), and sometimes...sometimes I JUST WANT TO WRITE A THOUSAND WORDS AND BE DONE. but no.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I’m monolingual, so I generally avoid it. I’m not averse to including scattered words and phrases when appropriate (and when I know I’m getting it right), and whenever sign language comes up I do try to get that right.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I was writing for Star Wars with a friend when I was 9 or so. We co-wrote whole novels about self-insert characters having amazing adventures during the Clone Wars. Remarkably angsty, all things considered. My first mega-fic, though, was for the Maximum Ride series. In hindsight, I should absolutely polish it up and put it out for public consumption, because if I can overcome the cringe of the early parts and ditch the alarming heteronormativity...look, the ending is really good.

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

Why would you make me choose.

Probably, at this point, it’s Speaker for the Dead, a Wizard101 fic. While technically it’s not my best work, it’s personally meaningful, and I think...quite possibly the most moving thing I’ve ever written.

 But the point is not in what the living do.

The train cart was filled with silence. Remy looked at the dog tag, the dog tag which had belonged to Roman. They looked up at their husband. He was staring right through them.

"I- I'll call Q. He'll get us home" Remy hastily let out.

They didn't get a reply. Remus sat perfectly still as they talked to Q. He seemed to be looking at a ghost. Maybe he was dissociating, maybe he was reliving the death. His hands wouldn't stop shaking.

Eventually Remy got up and took his hand. They held onto him until the train got to it's next stop. Held onto him the long car ride to an airport. Held onto him the entire flight back to England. Held onto him until they back to their apartement at MI6. They knew he would break apart if they let go right now.

Remy was sure M would give them a break from missions. Remus was barely eating, much less sleeping. No one could except him to work.

And yet here they were, 2 days later in M's office. Remus actually sat in a normal position in one of the chairs which was so unusual it even made M uncomfortable. Remy sat in his lap with their arms around his shoulders to comfort him.

"-I assure you 009 that I would let you two have a break if this mission wasn't urgent. Trust me I would be very happy if you two disappeared from my sight for a while" M aka Deceit said. One of his pet snakes had made itself comfortable around his neck.

"Sure girl. What's so fucking important then?"

Deceit pushed a paper over the desk towards them "This. Your luck was in your favor 009. You brought back a document from Ron Stewart's, the man you killed, room on the train correct?"

"Girl I dunno. 75% of the time I'm just like running on instinct and iced coffee but yeah sure"

"Yes well this document talks about Stewart's company partially being bought by this company by the name of Vigur. I didn't recognize it so I asked Q to do some research and-"

"It's a vampire sex ring!" Remy guessed.

Deceit blinked at them "Close. No it's a new company, actually it hasn't even started yet. It will have an opening this week in Manchester. It's an energy company and apparently it's lead by a young new business entrepreneur. It's strange.....When Q looked him up there was nothing. No history, no photos, no educational records. Only a few articles about him and his dad and that he was the leader of Vigur"

"I didn't catch the name"

"Virgil. Virgil Viverno"

Remus suddenly moved his arms around Remy's waist so tightly their ribs hurt. He buried his head against their shoulder. His spouse' placed their hands on top of his.

Deceit looked at him varily. He really did want to let the agents go on a break, he wasn't heartless, but, well, they had a mission to finish, even if it had become an intricate one.

"I suggest you two infiltrate the opening of the company. Find any information you can because somehow this has to be connected to the killings of agents caused by....Jaws...To aid I asked Moneypenny to follow Virgil around a bit and take a few pictures so you two know who to interrogate"

Deceit called for Moneypenny aka Patton. He entered the office with a stack of photos in his hands before sitting down on the edge of the table and laying out the photos. It was all of the so called Virgil. He was sitting in a car far away in all of them so it was a bit hard to see but they got the basic gists of him having short unkept black hair and sickly pale skin.

"Aww Patty I didn't know you got to work out in the field" Remy commented.

Deceit arched his brow "Don't underestimate him"

"I might not be as good in combat as y'all are but I can be sneaky and take a few photos every now and then"

Deceit sent him an unusually warm smile "You did a good job"

Moneypenny blushed slightly "Oh shush you snakecharmer. I'm married"

Remy grabbed one of the photos and looked closer "Betting on him being gay so time for some guy drag. Just 'cause I'm like tots too lazy to get into womany attire. We'll infiltrate the party, I'll take him to his hotel room and look for anything about why this new stupid company exists"

They were quiet for a few seconds before adding with venom in their tone "Or why they murdered Picani"

Patton leaned over and patted them on their shoulder to comfort them. "Yeah it's a bit weird. I followed him around for quite a few days but he rarely ever left the house he was staying at. He never even walked around. Either he was at that house or he was driven directly to the company building. He never stayed there for long so he couldn't have been working"

"Mhm" Deceit began "It could mea-"

Remus slammed his hand down into the table.

"You're all ignoring Roman"

Patton paled a little. Deceit leaned back in his seat. They were all silent.

"I- I mean the dog tag it- it has to mean this- the company- Picani it must have something to do with Roman doesn't it- I mean- I mean- Maybe- Roman could be alive"

Remus looked around at them while holding the tag close to his chest. He didn't look mad. He just looked like a cornered animal, a hurt prey.

"Kiddo" Patton held out his hand, unsure if to comfort or reason with him.

"Killing a 00 agent is quite a big thing. I can imagine that someone would gladly take the dog tag and keep it with them as a souvenir if they'd been in the same building as where it happened. From your reports of what happened there is no chance your brother is alive" Deceit stated bluntly "It is of far greater importance to try and find this 'Jaws' guy before he kills any more 00 agents"

All of the air seemed to go out of Remus. His arms loosened around Remy. They tried to comfort him and whisper sweet nothings to him.

"M don't be so cold about it!" Patton exclaimed. "It's okay kiddo. I'm sure- Maybe- We-" He pressed his lips into a tight line and tried to think about anything positive to say. He gave up and moved to try and hug Remus at least.

Remus stood up from the chair so quickly Remy nearly fell down on the floor. He banged his hands down into the table and leaned close to Deceit. His furious brown, nearly red, eyes stared into Deceit's cold black ones.

"I'll capture Jaws and I'll drag him back here. I'll drop him right here on your bloody desk if that's what it takes to make you take me seriously. And then I Will find my brother! Even if it's just his rotten corpse!"

He stormed out of the room without another word and slammed the doors shut behind him.

Remus was driving a black ashton martin towards the company's building where the opening party was being held. He had on a black suit. Remy sat in the passenger seat. They had on a looser fitting black blazer with a white button up under and pants. They'd styled it with a necklace and a few rings on their fingers.

"Babe you don't have to like do this you know that right?" Remy asked while looking over to their husband "Like it's really understandable if you want a break from work or something right now with the whole Roman thing. I can handle it on my own"

"I have to.........If there's a small chance Roman is...is.....out there I have to follow up on.....And even if he's....even if he's...gone....I want to at least stop the people who...killed....him" He held onto the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white "I want to tear them apart for hours upon hours until they're begging me to kill them"

Remy took his hand and intertwined their fingers "I'll be right here beside you" They pressed a kiss to his knuckles "I'mma be cutting people apart as well!"

Remus sent them a tired smile "Mhm. Love you my rotten lil sunflower"

They scrunched their nose "Gross"

"Nu-hu! You're my dear maggot infested heart"

"And you're the human equivalent of a mad scientist's experiment going wrong"

Remus pretended to blush "Awww you're always at your A game with compliments"

"Somebody has to be"

They leaned in for a kiss before getting out of the car. The tall building had an elegant opening door made out of glass.

Remy held onto their husband's upper arm and leaned on his shoulder as they walked in. The entrance was a grand room looking outmost modern. The reception had been turned into a bar and there were cocktail tables here and there.

The opening party was mostly to establish connectioncs between CEOs and such. It was all fake smiles and empty talking between glasses of champange.

"Let's say we're here for my mom's company" Remus whispered.

"Oh yeah the super legal one with a brilliant name" Remy chuckled back.

"Don't you dishonor the name of Octopussy!" He did a dramatic pout "But we'll say we're from the hotel business side of the company and not the y'know jewel smuggling-"

"Or circus business"

"Or circus business yes"

They mingled among the crowd while looking for Virgil. It was ironic how Remy was better at talking about the Octopussy company than Remus was. He'd always been better at the smuggling part than the business part while it was the reverse for his twin. Roman had been chosen to become the full time leader of the company once their mom retired...well that had changed obviously.

Remy was in the middle of making up an elaobarate lie about Octopussy totally being besties with the owner of this company to some business men when Remus pulled them aside. He pointed over to a dark corner of the room.

"Holy shit!" Remy gasped while their eyes widened "That's a total heart-throb!"

"What- No-" Remus looked at them with a confused look before looking back at the corner.

Remy was looking at a tall, broad shouldered, muscular guy in a slick black suit. He stood near the corner with his arms crossed. They were practically looking at him with heart eyes.

"Awww babe are you trying to find me a date? He's just my type!" They said while holding onto their tall, broad shouldered, muscular husband wearing a slick black suit.

"Sorry darling dearest but I was pointing at Virgil"

Next to the muscular guy a skinny man was sitting by a lone table. He had on a black button up shirt with a purple hoodie over. There was a glass of soda in front of him.

Remy pouted "That's not as fun"

"You can try to flirt with him while you get info from Virgil" Remus moved his hand to their jaw and leaned their head up "You horndog"

"Shut up your bundle of bacteria" They teased back before leaning in to kiss him.

"A demon would be jealous of your horniness......because....y'know....demon horns"

"Girl I could walk into a public toilet and press my finger against the wall and I would get the same amount of filth on my finger from that wall as I would get from your skin"

Remus kissed them again "Love you"

"Love you too" They smiled into the kiss.

"Be careful. If I see you leave with Virgil I'll follow you and cut in if I hear anything fucked aight?"

"Got it gal!"

Their hands lingered together for an extra moment before they both willed themself to let go. Remy walked towards Virgil. They unbuttoned the top 2 buttons on their shirt, dragged up their shirt sleeves slightly and fixed their hair.

They didn't get to Virgil. The tall muscular man stopped them beforehand by grabbing onto their shoulder. They couldn't honestly say that they were complaining.

"Mr. Viverno doesn't wish to talk to any more strangers for the rest of the night. He's already had enough people try to manipulate him with sweet talking and business deals" The man, who Remy assumed was a bodyguard, said in a stern tone.

Remy sent him a cheeky smile "Aww girl I'm not here for some money talk or whateva. I just hate parties. I was forced here just as much as the next boytoy"

The bodyguard sneered at them but from over his shoulder they could see Virgil glancing at them. In the low light it was hard to see the details of his face.

"Theo it's okay. You can let him in"

Remy had a shit eating grin on their face as they gracefully sauntered past the bodyguard apparently named Theo. They slumped down on the seat on the opposite side of the table to Virgil. He seemed okay with just sitting in silence, Remy wasn't.

"I'm Diamandis. Remington Diamandis" They reached out their hand after saying the totally real and not at all made up name.

Virgil just stared at their hand "You already know my name. You wouldn't be at the opening if you didn't"

They leaned their elbows on the table "Yeah well introductions are always nice either way. Know whats not like nice? Parties. Fucking hate them" They lied.

He quickly nodded along "Everything is so....loud....there's so many peoples. I've never been to any sort of party or anything before but I already hate them"

"Impressive. If I could choose I would have tots been...." Remy tried to figure out what Virgil would react to best "Been staying in my room all alone like just calm no sounds. Sadly my daddy is like involved with this like octopussy company so I gotta be here" They saw how Virgil immediately tried to hold back a smile at the mention of the name "It's okay, you can laugh"

He covered his mouth with his hand while giggling "Sorry- Sorry it's just- that's a bad word"

"I'm aware. I've been looking to get a new daddy anyhow. Someone less boring who doesn't drag me to all these stuck up parties"

"....Through....adoption...?...Or...?"

Remy realized they were talking to an innocent lamb and quickly changed the subject "So you wanna buy us drinks? A fancy cocktail would sound nice right about now" They leaned their chin on their hands and moved closer.

"I uh I can't. Maybe some soda I dunno"

"What? You're waiting 'till marriage to drink or something"

Virgil glanced up at him "No I- I'm not allowed. I'm 15. Theo said-"

Remy reared back into their seat. The smug look on their face was instantly gone as they buttoned up their shirt all the way up. Now when they knew he was a teenager it was blatantly obvious. Suddenly they noticed the subtle acne on his face, how his arms clearly had had a growth spurt before the rest of his body, how he still kind of had baby cheeks.

"I'm sorry. You should have said- I didn't think- I'm sorry that's like tots gross of me- The lightning is really bad I couldn't see- Sorry girl" They babbled out.

"What are you apologizing for?" Virgil asked while tilting his head.

"I the adult here flirted with you- which is so disgusting and girl I'm like-"

Virgil looked like he was one step away from slamming his hands into the table and standing up "Flirting??" His eyes widened "That was flirting??"

"Indeed it was. I was close to punching you the entire time" Theo muttered while eyeing Remy.

"This is almost as cool and as when I got to try out a phone for the first time a few days ago" Virgil pointed over to Theo "He has a bunch of games on his phone. They're really fun"

Theo let out a ridiculously tired sigh "The games are just there for my kids I swear"

Remy zoned out of the conversation. The sheer weirdness of someone who apparently is a CEO 1. being a teenager and 2. not owning a phone had taken them right out. Every step of this mission seemed to make it weirder and weirder. It made their head hurt with unanswered questions.

"-my room?" Remy got forced out of their thoughts as Virgil asked them something.

"What?"

"Do you want to go to my room? I have a room on the second floor in case I ever need to stay over for the night. The place I actually live is quite far away from here" He fiddled with his sleeves "You said you would rather be in your room like ehhh being calm so I thought we could go away from all the loud people at least"

"Sure kid" Remy almost felt bad for how easily Virgil had done exactly what they wanted him to.

He got up and mumbled something to Theo before setting off towards the elevator. Remy blew Theo a kiss before waving goodbye as they walked past him. In response he gave them the middle finger, clearly showing of the wedding ring on his finger.

One short elevator ride later they were following Virgil through a long hallway. It was all cold grey walls and light that gave them a headache. It was quiet apart from the muffled sounds from the people on the first floor.

Virgil suddenly reached out and held onto the sleeve of their blazer. He looked up at them with big eyes "Have you ever touched snow?"

"....Yes-"

He held onto them harder and a smile played at the edge of his lips "Can you describe it?"

Remy was a bit taken aback by the weird question but shrugged and began to describe it. Nothing had been worse than the freezing winters with nothing but their mothers and a cheap sleeping bag to keep them warm. From the corner of their eye they caught a glimpse of Remus following them.

Virgil's smile grew wider the more they described it. His blue eyes looked at them as if they were the most knowledgable person ever. Before they knew they'd reached his room. It was mostly bare. Just a bed, a nightstand and a few boxes. The bed wasn't even comfortable as they sat down alongside the teenager.

They glanced around for anything important. Drugging a teenager so he fell asleep so they could search through his room made them feel really disgusting but at least it was better than knocking him out. Hopefully it would just feel like a quick nap. Hopefully they could hide the sleeping pill in some soda.

"Are you looking for something?" Virgil asked.

"Nah girl. Nothing. I was just-"

Remy turned back to look at him. His smile was gone and his blue eyes suddenly seemed cold. It felt like his gaze was piercing through them.

"Oh 009. You should have paid more attention" Virgil murmured.

Their blood ran cold at the mention of their 00 title. They tried to speak but realized their mouth felt numb. Their whole body felt numb and as heavy as lead.

"Do you seriously think Theo would have let you be alone with me unless he knew you were so stupid you wouldn't even care to look at the most important part of this room" He scoffed at them.

Remy fell back on the bed. Their eyelids could barely stay open as they looked up. Their eyes widened as they saw dozens upon dozens of spiders sitting on the roof.

"Ruthie is such a good girl" Virgil picked up a big black spider that had been crawling around on the covers. He patted her while talking "All it takes is a small bite from her and a human can be passed out for up to 6 hours"

Remy wanted to muster up the strenght to snarl an insult at least. Instead all they could do was fall asleep as their eyes rolled to the back of their skull.

Virgil's smile widened "Goodnight"

He let out a few more of his dear spiders crawl up on his arms. He threw the bed lamp down on the ground and let out a few fake muffled cries. It was too trick 009's equally as stupid partner to rush in.

And he did. Of course he did.

Remus stumbled into the room with a neutral expression plastered on his face. His eyes darted around the room but quickly landed on his sleeping spouse.

"Sorry! I was uh looking for the bathroom!" He threw out "Oh wow one of you is unconcious that's not good especially not while in bedrooms! Maybe I should stay"

Virgil looked at him as he was the biggest idiot on earth. A few spiders started to crawl up Remus' legs. He looked down at them and quickly shook them off before stomping on them.

"YOU FUCKER!" Virgil yelled. He shot up from the bed and closed his hands into fists. He nearly teared up at the sight of the dead spiders.

Remus took a step back and raised his hands "Hey kid I'm sorry but-"

He didn't say anything more. A harsh hit landed on the back of his neck. He immediately fell down on the ground.

The whole room was spinning. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Virgil moving to hug a person. He seemed to be lifted from the ground and spun around in the hug.

The last thing Remus heard before he passed out was Virgil happily letting out a "Jawsie!!"
