I don't care if it was intentional (it was). I don't care if he knew what he was doing (he did). I don't care if he was trolling, or high off his ass, or "throwing his heart" to the crowd. It doesn't fucking matter what was going through his head, or what his motivations or intentions were.

What matters is that he did that on television, and the Overton window was just shoved that much further to the right. The literal fucking nazis know this. They don't give a fuck if it was a joke, they are reveling in the fact that he did that, in public, on one of the largest stages in the world. It's the same fucking bullshit about how racist jokes still promote racism even if the person saying them doesn't believe it, because it allows those kinds of ideas to become acceptable. To be seen. To be integrated into your thought processes. The alt right knows this. For fucks sake, they've been TALKING ABOUT IT FOR YEARS on their forums and websites. They know it works, and they've been using that strategy for awhile now.

So no. I don't give a fuck what was going through Muskfucker's head when he did that salute. The end result is the same. And to the people justifying it, or infantalizing him as if he's not a full fucking grown man with the ability to think, or making it out to be an overreaction: I hope you choke on the barrel of a fucking gun. I don't even live in the states, but as someone who's country is deeply affected by them, I'm already terrified. I can't imagine what people living there are going through.

Some relatives and family friends are planning my sister's bridal shower/bachelorette party and they were talking about location.
