Art13 and shit

IK literally 0 peeps cares but listen Article 13 can kill almost one half of every fandom. We peeps literally work with stuff that really isn’t ours except our skills and idea. Few days ago when I told my friend that art 13 almost got approved she just shrugged and walked away with an “Oh”. Its hilarious and I aint any activist but just a shit poster messing around with my beloved boys and producing stuff. Now I am looking at BSD fandom considering how many of us lives in the EU. Even Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa has permitted us to create content on their characters, a fucking online filter won’t know that and even if it knew that, it still won’t allow us to create anything (referring to the Pixiv interview from Dec 2016 after the airing of Season 2).  A lot of terrifyingly talented artist, writer, blogger and a whole lot of other content creators will have their work filtered before uploading. If you are an artist, you gotta put layers and layers of overlay on it to try and avoid the content being detected. Writer? “Ouuyya pressed his lips against Nazai, making the bandaged one shiver softly” (LSKHFGIKSHG I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS AFTER @no-longer-tainted​ TOLD ME) Meme and shit poster? Best of luck. Shit loads of Blogs gonna be gone with in one night. No joke cuz of the GDPR update my old blog got taken down without any notice. Just the app update and boom. My blog was totally gone. Now that’s gonna happen again with art 13. Sure we can try to move to another platform but they are still gonna have the same law and filtering. 

Really, you want to create right? You want to grow as a fan creator right? You want to see your fav creator creating content for your fav series, chara or ships right? You want to support your creator friends right? Then honestly, ytf ya’ll r just chilling? This is literally gonna destroy the things that you love the most and take it away from you within a night. Just contact the local MEP or sign up the petition if you haven’t! Tell people about it! We can’t just sleep like this? Can we?

I have 2 mental health problems. One being anxiety. Some days are extremely hard. Fanwork artists from around the world play an ENORMOUS part in keeping my head above the water. It is so comforting for me to read and view outstanding works of art after a hard day. And the people who post them know they are helping, that's why they are so amazing. If I lost this, well, I don't know what I'd do. If the artists lost the right to post their works, they would react the same.

So, article 11 & 13 supporters and voters of the EU, listen up.

Article 13 got approved and that means the internet will be censored for all countries under the EU. If that happens, it’s likely bloggers from affected countries cannot post content anymore. I wouldn’t be able to post gifs, edits, icons, anything anymore. Even adding links to posts could cost money. You can get more information here and here or simply using google to find information from a source you trust. Art13 isn't as simple as that. It's actually a confusing mess of unspecified and technologically hard if impossible to achieve regulations, which makes it much scarier than it already is.
