One of the most valuable things I've ever done for myself is to work really hard on eradicating the concepts of "good" and "bad" from my vocabulary and thoughts. Every time I catch myself saying - or even thinking - that something is "good" or "bad", I try to stop myself, delete that word, and replace it with what I really mean instead.

And no, just synonymizing it - e.g. replacing "bad" with "evil" or "wrong" or "problematic" or "dangerous", or replacing "good" with "helpful" or "beneficial" or "positive" or "acceptable" - doesn't count. You have to actually stop and think for a minute: what do you REALLY mean?

This has done more for my personal intellectual development in recent years than almost anything else. I highly recommend it.
