The farther we get into season 2 and the more things get revealed, the weirder it is listening to season 1.

I'm enjoying my re-listen of the episodes, but now so many things just make me more sad than they did originally. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get to Ron's anchor arc.

What if Ron is a silent crier? I’ve seen some people head canon him as a pretty emotional and loud crier, and while I don’t completely disagree with that, I think that Ron cries silently. That whenever he was little, he used to cry loud and make a whole thing of it not by his choice that’s just how he reacted. But now, as an adult, he just kind of silently stands there as tears pour out of his eyes. His shoulders moving up and down every so often, as usually whenever that gut, wrenching noise of someone attempting to stop their overflowing tears comes out of their mouth. He just physically unable to make the sound, physically, unable to express his emotions through noise, as he just silently stands there crying.

I could imagine one of the dad’s trying to comfort him whenever something really emotional just happened, them on the verge of tears, making ugly noises trying to hold back their sob, and then Ron already having tears flowing out of his eyes, but not making a noise. Shaking ever so slightly.

I can imagine Terry, hugging Ron after a really bad memory of Willie. Telling him that it’s not real that Willie couldn’t hurt him anymore his shoulders shaking as tears pour into his stepson shirt. The room filled with silence, except for the whispered promises of Terry telling him that he’s safe. As Samantha makes tea for them in the kitchen. Terry telling Ron that he is enough.

When usually you hear that ugly, hicking noise of someone attempting not to sob to not cry, there’s just no sound, because even if he tried really really hard, his body just won’t let him. that sound that just sounds so utterly human. He is unable to make. I wonder if that would ever make him question is he really there? Is he really human? And if he is, how broken is he to the point where he can’t even cry right.

This is probably like nothing but I was thinking about my own views on humans and morality and shit (similar to angus’s from nitw-ish. People who care universe that doesn’t) because I believe almost everyone is capable of change blah blah that kinda stuff and then I was like how does that relate to Willy stampler (because I hate him. And everything has to come back to dndads) and I was like is willy stampler capable of change? And I think yes but he doesn’t care to because sure he’s like learn the terms and therapy shit from that van but it doesn’t matter because he’s not using that to better himself he’s using his self awareness to manipulate people still

But hypothetically if he were to change i as an audience member wouldn’t forgive him and no one he’s hurt would have to either but he doesn’t care enough to because he is selfish and only wishes to further his own gain and I hate him
