Booked myself and the five youngest kids on a flight for the weekend to go to Ft. Myers to celebrate my 50th.

Tickets were $67 RT! I have to rent a car, but my credit card points should pick up the bulk of that cost. I haven’t rented a car in like two decades so please tell me if there is one agency that’s better than another. I need a minivan so I can fit myself, my mom, and the kids.

I feel bad leaving DH. He can’t go because of work. He’s still not sleeping at the house. He has zero self-esteem. On the other hand, I know I’m going to feel like absolute garbage if I don’t do anything to celebrate this milestone for myself, and DH is in no shape to put something together on my behalf.

From David Barcanas, who went under the car to get her: "Millie is an adult female cat we found up near FGCU near Ft.Myers FL. I dropped her off at the Blue Pearl Pet Hospital where they confirmed she does not have a microchip. Docs say she does not seem to be feral and is well mannered meaning she may have slipped away from her home. She’ll go to Lee County once the storm subsides and if she’s not claimed the adoption process will start and she’ll be moving to D.C. with me. I miss her already."
