Enjolras/Grantaire

Not my fav pairing from "Les Misérables" or one I never get enough of, but I really like the vibes and read many nice fics with them! The embodiment of "pining" mixed with "self-sabotage" in Grantaire's side, and honestly, the fact that he chose to die with Enjolras when he could have escaped death... "Le permets-tu ?", the last exchanged gaze 😭😭😭😭😭 I think it would take a lot of time for Enjolras to either fall for Grantaire or accept his feelings, thanks to Grantaire sabotaging himself and acting all jaded, and the last moment they share, his eyes were saying "I love you" to him 🤧

One thing I like seeing in the stories is Enjolras questioning himself too because he can be really harsh! Boy, I get that Grantaire must be frustrating sometimes but, hey, be more gentle once in a while, huh?

An excellent OT3!! Why pick between FrUK or GerFra when Francis has two hands?! And I think Ludwig and Arthur would have a nice chemistry too^^. Que demande le peuple ?

Immortal beings with a long and complicated history, who finally find the time to settle down together and share a sweet domestic life 💖. Some bickering too, and they would try to spice their life up a bit once in a while. Lots of fluff, fun and smut

Quasimodo/Madeleine

...that's not very nice to ask such a tricky question!! 😂

Madeleine is one of the few good elements in that poor excuse of a sequel, she has quite the potential and is endearing. She and Quasimodo share some touching scenes, especially the one where she asks him "Do you think there's more to me than what you can see?" Sadly, she's a bit too bland and childish for my taste, and the (obvious) message gets too hammered during the movie😖

I've seen some nice edits with her being Romani, and I wish it had been her official design, it made more sense. However, as cute as the concept of them are, I think there is something lacking for me to completely ship them - even if some fanworks do a wonderful job! Maybe because of how similar they are, Quasimodo strikes me more as a good mentor figure for Madeleine or him becoming what Esmeralda is to him to Madeleine? If you must pick a white blonde-haired woman for Quasimodo, why not select and readapt Fleur-de-Lys? A daughter from a noble house, who was raised with prejudices but who overcomes them after getting to know Quasimodo and who shows another kind of strength by standing up to her parent's choice and control? sorry I got carried away

Haha to be honest I feel like I would be intimidated by his eyebrows if I ever meet him in real life.... But I think that he could be quite handsome as well ;) And being completely perfect is overrated anyway lmao

I think his whole face is probably reminiscent of the bulldog a few doors down that may not be able to kill you, but it can sure as hell make your ankles bleed and ruin the cuffs of your favorite jeans

It is! And it doesn’t matter that he’s ugly, he has other things (and Francis finds him attractive anyway, what more does he need? ;))

The ideal macaron has a smooth surface and a ruffled foot.

But for the ideal macaron not only outside counts, the inside matters too. Not too overwhelmingly sweet, so you can taste the flavour of the soft filling well, a little bit moist and simply melt in your mouth!

This doesn’t mean that I will avoid or treat badly any macaron who do not meet these standards. After all, personality weights the heaviest for me.

Hello ;) First of all I wanted to say that I love your blog ! Thanks to you , I can discover new theories about the recent chapters. And it helps me a lot to understand what's happening to be honest xD The last chapter is so confusing after all ! Anyway, I saw recently a post on your blog with a Sbeastian gifset. And my attention was caught by this sentence : "Yes, my lord. I devote my entire being to you. Until the day… that lies become truth.” (1)

And I couldn't helpt bu think that there's a link, a connection with the recent chapter because of Ciel's last question as he wanted to be sure that Sebastian can't lie to him. I couldn't help but think that maybe Sebastian is iding something from Ciel concerning the day when the contract has been sealed... I agree that he said that because of Ciel's lie about Snake's friends... But I think he was hinting to something more than that ... And if it's the case, given the sentence... (2)

Well it doesn't sound like a good thing for our Ciel :/ Because Sebastian clearly stated that he'll serve him until lies become truths... And it seems like the truth about the first day of the contract will be revealed soon. There will be a lot of problems and shocking revelations if the 2CT is confirmed ... But I wonder what will happen to the relationship between Ciel and Sebastian. After all, even if he can't technically lie, he can certainly hide facts without any problem. (3)

( We could have seen it during one of the recent chapters too. Sebastian seemed to hide an important information about Elizabeth to Ciel ... He was about to reveal it to him but he finally chose to keep it for him)...Anyway, i'm probably wrong and I'm probably extrapolating too much xD. But I would love to hear your opinion about it ;) Have a nice day ;) (4)

Ah yes, that sentence from Sebastian in the Murder arc... I’m pretty sure he’s referring to Ciel’s words earlier here:

And this definitely feels like it could be a hint for the 2CT. If this theory is true, our Ciel has built a new life for himself based on lies. And since he has stuck to the lie about his true identity it has nearly become truth (he has the title as Earl, everyone around him thinks he’s the real Ciel, even his personality may have been adapted to the real Ciel’s,...).

While Ciel is talking about a lie becoming truth in the sense that no one will be able to tell that it’s actually a lie anymore, Sebastian could have meant something else by his words...

I kinda have three different ideas for what Sebastian could have meant:

1) Maybe he means here that one day the real truth will come out and Ciel’s lies will be revealed. And that might be the day their contract ends. (Of course, the contract states that it will end once Ciel’s revenge is fulfilled but maybe the revelation of Ciel’s lies and the fulfillment of his revenge are connected.) And maybe in this case this is already foreshadowing that Ciel’s lies will be revealed soon...

2) Lies can never be truth, so maybe this is Sebastian’s way to say he’ll forever be in Ciel’s service? (Or at least as long as Ciel is alive.)

3) Sebastian always says that he doesn’t tell lies. But if lies become truth he could technically say them, right? So his words could mean something like he’s Ciel’s servant until he can lie again? And since their contract says that Sebastian cannot lie that will only be the case after the contract is completed. Or maybe the fulfillment of the contract will cause a ‘lie’ to become ‘truth’ (whatever that may be) or something like that?

Anyway, until now Sebastian isn’t allowed to tell lies but yes, he can hide the truth from Ciel which he has done several times before. So it’s possible that he hasn’t told Ciel something that may have happened on the day their contract was formed. And this may be connected to the 2CT and the possibility of the twin being ‘alive’. Maybe that’s what Ciel has realized at the end of the current chapter which caused his terrified reaction.

If the 2CT is true, I think Sebastian knows this, so I don’t think the revelation would change anything for their contract. But it will definitely change a lot for our Ciel and the people he has lied to all this time. And the life he has built and which is like a protective shield for him would crumble down.

🌹: What are weird things they start to do once they've developed a crush?

Lud starts to get all flustered around his crush (he hates it when he likes someone who happens to work with him, coughcoughFrancis, because it intereferes with his professionalism. And he’s absolutely unable to concentrate when he’s trying to work because he thinks about them so much.

Once Francis accepts the fact that he fancies someone, he will do everything in his power to win em over. This includes stuff like compliments, giving little gifts, dressing up a little when he’s around them, stuff like that. He also has a certain smile for his crush, which is a sure sign he really likes them. (Again future comic will include this)

C: A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can't.

I have gotten into most ships after establishing this blog, but lately, I’ve felt annoyed with America and England. It’s mostly how America is portrayed as this smooth, sex god and England as submissive and like he doesn’t know about sex. He looks smaller than America, and like I guess that’s people’s cup of tea, but I really hate it because if anything, England is the one that has a lot more experience with sexual acts and other kinds of things, and America is the virgin that doesn’t know as much. I don’t hate the ship, some fanart is very pretty and I like the art style, but I don’t get into AUs or stories like that really popular one that people talk about (and yet I’m here like meh) nor do I have headcanons for them. I respect the people that ship it, but I don’t get into it. It’s annoyed me for some time and I’ve even come to dislike America because of the ship. Another thing is that there is this huge difference between the two that really feels unrealistic. I have an English friend, and I being American don’t understand some things she refers to and I have a hard time with “taking the piss”, mocking people, and overall making fun of others, plus there is a certain coldness that sometimes affects me. In turn, she doesn’t understand why we aren’t as sarcastic as the English and we genuinely like people or say things like “Awesome!” and she doesn’t understand it. One time I thanked her for something I thought was motivational from her part, and she asked me if she’d said something that angered me. So I have no doubt Americans and the English can get along, like my friend and I, but as far as having a wholesome relationship? It doesn’t feel likely to me based on these two characters. Plus, I feel America needs someone to compete with, like Russia. They can be very competitive and that’s what really sells that ship for me. America and England can’t particularly compete with each other because America can be a certain type of competitive where he needs to win 1st place for everything he competes in, but England wouldn’t particularly care after competing with other countries and settling colonies. England isn’t competitive to win accolades and honors and shit; he’s competitive so that his enemies don’t win, like he and France competing to see who gets more points in the Eurovision. He’s a petty competitor, and America is just a competitor to beat people because he thinks he’s the best. England needs someone who can take his fucking shit and take the piss out of them and in turn, his partner could take the piss out of him, which is what sells France and England for me because they are both equally pissed at one another, they can mock each other and they both know it’s just banter and only they get it as opposed to it looking like they abhor each other in other people’s eyes. And yes, they do hate each other, but they understand each other, they’ve known each other for so long that it’s just a natural part of their relationship and nobody gets to mess with them other than each other. England needs someone to argue with, and even though America can argue, it’s not at the level England would desire, which is where France can match his level; he’s equally bitter and angry and he knows how to push England’s buttons. America can push his buttons, too, but not in the way England would want. The more I get to know the English culture through my friend, more unlikely the relationship between America and England is. But they have nice fanart. 

S: What's a headcanon you have?

I have a lot of headcanons so it’s hard to say just one...A lot of my headcanons are shaped on my conversations with my English friend mentioned above, so I will mention one that I recently adopted. 

When Francis likes someone and he wants to show them, he sends them flowers and a cheesy love card attached to it. He’s sent a couple of bouquets to Arthur because he finds it romantic. However, Arthur isn’t a big fan of receiving flowers and he’d much rather receive any other kind of gift besides them. He’s told Francis (if you expect him to say thank you, you are going to be disappointed; he lectured Francis on why flowers are depressing as a gift because it’s what you get people who are dead, wow Arthur you’re such a grateful gentleman, you prick). So Francis has learnt not to get him flowers. Instead, he sends him random ass gifts like plants in their own pots or a cookbook on how to properly make French cuisine because we all know Arthur is a magnificent chef and Francis thought it’d be a lovely accessory to his well-kept kitchen. Francis does like receiving flowers, though, but he’s not gotten any from Arthur because he’s not romantic and well, he’d rather get Francis an actual frog instead of flowers, with a note attached saying “I found you in the street and you almost got run over, you fucking twat.” My OTP makes me so happy yet so mad at the same time, I hate them.

Mmm, I really love Kim and Ron from Kim Possible. Such a good relationship. I am also in love with Haruka and Michiru from Sailor Moon. Those two are my life and aesthetic because they’re gay and it’s canon and I’m canonly gay so I just really love them, I need me a Haruka. I also love Edward and Winry from FullMetal Alchemist. That was my very first OTP I wrote about and did a lot of fanwork for that ship and it kept me occupied for like 5 years and I still enjoy their relationship because it’s so wholesome (except for Winry hitting Ed with her wrench, I’ve never liked violence for persuasion and I get it’s a gag, but still, it’s the one thing I dislike).

Francis, I saw that you can't date your love interest ( probably because he's an Under or a Below..) and that you have to wait until you retire... But you're still quite young , right ? Are you ready to wait all these years ? Why don't you try to see this person secretly or try to contact them at least? Love shouldn't have limits right? ;)

Actually I’m 48... And I have waited for quiet a while as well but I’m not sure they even are interested in me, and even if they are, I do not want to risk the chance of being caught, for their sake and mine.  And I see them quiet regularly as well but....  While in my youth I’ve believed that love had no limits, now I still believe  in it but I also believe in saving face for the one I care about.

Don't worry friend. I'm not all excited about them either. But I read some nice stories '( including fruk ones ! ) where the 1P meet their 2Ps.;. And it was really good!

I see art of them, and I think it’s cute, but as far as reading stories go, I don’t know... it’s like I’ve got this mental block in my mind that won’t allow me to enjoy them. Urrrgh, and I see such nice content being produced by people, so it makes me feel really bad lol.

The relationship between the two of them in a human AU is considerably more different and this is why it's so funny to see it in the fanfics... They're so much younger and they are still experiencing new things and are more prone to mistakes as well ! This is why I love it as well !

That’s true! In a human AU at that age they still have all the wild passions of being young, whereas in canon their thoughts about relationships may amount to something more like “I wish I had someone to eat dinner with when I get home from work at night”.
