Eddie is a notorious biter when it comes to Steve. He gets cuteness aggression hotness aggression and competency aggression so pretty much any time Steve does anything Eddie is chomping down on some part of his boyfriend's body. He does it so often that people don't even react to it anymore. Steve just pats his head and lets his boyfriend do what he needs to do. He knew when he started dating Eddie Munson that there would be some oddities.

One day when all the older kids are handing out, Steve sitting between Robin and Eddie on the couch, he leans over with every intent of giving Eddie a little kiss on the cheek. Eddie is rambling to the room and Steve tends to get a little sappy about how passionate and outgoing his boyfriend is so Steve just needs to give him a little smooch.

Only he doesn't.

Before Steve realizes what's going on he's sunk his teeth lightly into the meat of Eddie's jaw. He stops, Eddie stops, the whole room is staring at them both with bewildered eyes because this is so out of character for Cool Guy/Boyfriend Steve and no one knows how to react.

After a few beats of hoping everyone will just look away and Steve can hide his embarrassment away with some dignity, he releases Eddie's jaw and pulls back. Eddie's eyes are bigger and more confused than Steve thinks he's ever seen them and suddenly Steve is just laughing, cackling like he never has before and the whole room is laughing with them. Robin and Johnathan are ribbing Steve hard about whatever the fuck that was and Nancy is just giggling and shaking her head and Eddie gets with the program too and pulls his boyfriend's head in for a little noogie.

Just Eddie's oddities rubbing off on Steve.

Steve wearing a ring Eddie gifts him as a joke (so he can be less prep/more cool) except Steve ends up wearing it all the time.

Something happens-- Eddie misplaces or otherwise forgets his rings one night, and ends up having to go about the day without them.

He's so used to spinning and fidgeting with them that he feels practically naked. Keeps touching his bare fingers and wincing.

Without asking and mid conversation with Robin, Steve offerings him not Steve's own ring, but his entire hand.

Just gives his hand over to Eddie, an intrusive thought he followed without sparing so much as a second to think it through.

(Eddie plays with the ring on Steve's finger anyway, trying not to blush about it, but very much needing the distraction. )

Robin calls them out about ten minutes in, asking why Steve didn't just take the ring off. 

“Oh. I didn't think about that. Sorry Eddie.” 

“Don't apologize man, this is better."

Steve nods like that makes perfect sense, and Eddie refuses to elaborate further.

Robin wants to choke them both because they're fucking romance-blind idiots.

Give me the fruity 4 all hanging out after Spring Break, and Eddie whips out a joint. And Steve may be very aware he is bisexual and very much into Eddie. Nancy and Robin watch in disbelief as Steve, in his smoothest voice says "I've never done this before. Can you help me, Eds?" As he honest to God bats his eyes. Robin and Nancy know damn sure that Steve has done this before and does not need help. But they watch on as Eddie malfunctions while trying to shotgun with Steve, who knows perfectly well what he is doing.

Steve’s lips taste like strawberry fruit gummies cuz of his chap stick. And when Eddie leans in he can smell the artificial strawberry scent. It’s his favorite thing to lick it off.

Eddie doesn’t use anything except for the left over that clings from his make out sessions. They’re always dry and Steve is losing a fruitless battle trying to stop him from biting and eating at the dead skin.

“Pls stop cannibalizing yourself it’s so gross.”

Robin used to use cola flavored chap stick but when she finally got into a relationship with Nancy she got self conscious and tried lip gloss. But her hair would get stuck in it and it was sticky and just way too over stimulating. She uses non flavored chapstick now.

Nancy uses the same brand and flavor of chapstick as Steve and when Robin finds out she spend an entire 24 hours screaming and going on strike by withholding kisses.

“I’m basically kissing Steve. Oh god, I know what Steve tastes like!!” (Genuinely dry heaves)

“Robin, it’s just chapstick.”

“Our friend group is getting way too incestuous, Nancy! Does literally no one else see it as a problem!!!”

Steve and Robin go out to a gay club in Indy one night and Robin ends up pissed off because even if she did make a couple of friends and connections with the local scene she didn't have as much luck as Steve who made out with like 5 dudes in a row. How come they're going to the gay places and her straight friend still has more game than her?! Turns out maybe not so much, since Steve spends the monday shift at family video talking how much he enjoyed kissing guys and how hot it got him and how it didn't feel like a performance—which Robin can relate to that part—so maybe it's time to keep experimenting? Robin thinks he might be going a little fast but Steve is determined so he asks if he should ask Eddie if he's down to hooking up so he can try having sex with a guy which sends Robin into another spiral because whoa, since when are you aware that Eddie's gay? (And shit, if she said it out loud to Steve does that count as outing Eddie?!) Steve says he just knows, the same way he knows that Vicky is into boobies (ugh, not this again!) and anyway there's no harm in asking. Robin's mind is blown when Steve literally picks up the phone and calls Eddie if he's down to fuck that night at his place. She's not surprised Eddie agrees. He might be even more of a masochist than Robin herself, really. Which leads to a very interesting night where Robin spends hours trying to concentrate on her stupid homework and not think about how her best friend, her soulmate, the light of her life, is right now having gay sex literally days after finding out "kissing guys is cool actually," when it took her years to admit to herself that she was into girls. And it's even more mortifying when a little after midnight Steve calls her—of course he does—and informs her that sex with men is actually so much better than sex with girls, for him at least, he just had the best orgasm of his life (good for him) and inform her that he now has a boyfriend. Honestly, what did Robin expect. Good for Steve and his simple, honest heart.
