Yes, this is still our Joker! This is just his design in the alternate timeline where he's a villain instead of working with Batman.

My warm-up for the day and another mini reference; special agent Iman Avesta!
She was probably my favorite character added in The Enemy Within, so I had to keep her with our Waller. She's also from Iran, just like Abner (Polka Dot Man)! She'd love to talk to him if she got the chance....kept the hearing aids she gets in one route too, although you guys won't see them, but they're there, I promise.
(also she's holding a recording device - it just doesn't come across oops - also*2, those are sunglasses not prescription glasses FYI Fluffy <3)

Scientists that became their fursonas.
Drury Walker "Killermoth" 38 he/him
I don't have much for him yet. He just got a little silly and turned himself into a moth.
Kirk Langstrom "Manbat" 35 he/him (no normal Kirk design yet)
Notes: Kirk was born hard of hearing, he was bullied growing up for having a slightly bat-like appearance and the irony that brings because he can't hear well. This led to him loving bats and deciding to dedicate his life to studying them. Later he meets his wife who is deaf. After marrying her, Kirk was inspired to expand his research to create a non-invasive and inexpensive way to allow people like himself and his wife to hear that can also be reversed in case they change their minds. He worked on a proto-type serum using bat DNA and decided to test on himself hoping he could hear like everyone else. After many failed attempts, in frustration he uses too much and becomes Manbat.

Eddie's finally here!
Eddie's scars (without spoilers)
The ones are his forearms are from fire/chemical burns working in a lab. Ed understands the importance of lab safety, but has no patience for it.
Riddler's Main Inspirations
Jim Carrey's had to be on here. His comical expressions and high energy were a perfect example of how rambunctious and cocky our Riddler can be. Also he's loud, very loud.
This is a specific Lego Riddler, that being from the movies BESIDES The Lego Batman Movie, who is also high energy and goofy
I love black and white movies, and Eddie would also love Noir detective films. Hence why his appearance is so detective-esque
The mousey, pathetic nature of Paul Dano's Riddler portrayal worms his way into our version. While his over the top violent nature did not transfer over, Dano's thought process and intent to expose the corruption in Gotham is heavily inspired. Also the vintage styled greeting cards, although not pictured here, our Riddler uses as well (also because those are the types of cards his grandma would send him)
Jerma985 is a fun internet personality (who also views Jim Carrey as an inspiration so I see this as a win) who can act very unhinged and terrifying, while remaining silly. He's someone you can't take your eyes off of, love him or hate him.
Extra info:
For Ed's body, this depiction is him at his ideal weight, which he reaches later in the comic, same with the addition of his vest as The Riddler. When the comic starts, Ed is homeless and was malnourished while growing up with his father.
Ed is also supposed to have proportionally long legs, but I don't think it comes across, oops
I also don't normally add any lighter hair streaks besides the main piece, but for more detailed, closer pieces, there are some more hairs that aren't as light, but still show the signs of stress and malnourishment he's endured.

James "Jim" Craddock "Gentleman Ghost" years he/him (past tense)
Hugo Strange 47 he/him

Amanda Waller 42 she/her
Thomas Elliot "Hush" 29 he/him
I wanted to get some more on here before posting, but these designs are here so might as well just get it now.
Gentleman Ghost and Hush are subject to heavy change, just as a heads up. The other three are for sure their designs.
Also while I'm on here, my main focus right now is working on the script for the first chapter of the comic (the main one, Fluffy is the one working on Interrobang), as well as some art for....something we've teased that we're getting pretty close to finishing. That said, I'm not posting as much, and I have to apologize for that , I'm very bad at managing my time and productivity, so it's a slap on the wrists to get myself on that treadmill.
Anyway, Babydoll is probably my favorite design on this batch, so enjoy :)

Scarecrow is here!
Jo's Scars (Without Spoiler)
The scarring on Jo's wrists are from self harm, inflicted during his teens years.
Any diamond-shaped scars are from the crows his grandma sent after him when they pecked and tore at his skin. The one closest to his eye luckily doesn't impair his vision at all, but that was certainly a scary one to get. He can also hear very well despite missing bits of his ears, they're also pretty superficial, damage-wise.
The big ones on his back, as well as the thin ones on the back of his calves are more from his grandma, although these are from being whipped are punishment.
Most of the thin scars across Jo's face and on his fingers are from being careless while shaving.
Jo's (basically) One Inspiration
Batman Begins Cillian Murphy is one of the Scarecrows I know the best. I know, I know, the prettiest boy? Yes, but I made him not pretty and a lot taller because otherwise, he was a great Scarecrow. Shame that's the only time Scarecrow's been in a movie
Fluffy's grandpa is also an inspiration for Jo, but I don't know him as well as she does
Scarecrow's Main Inspirations
Both designs of Batman the Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures are a significant foundation of this design. I never got to watch these but I wish I did. Despite this, these are the designs I've been exposed to the most and I love all three. Since these designs are made for animation, they appealed to me the most. I also feel the more simple a design is, the scarier it can be. Your brain will do so much of the work when things are vague.
I love analog horror, I much prefer it to classic horror and gore. I think psychological horror is much more impactful than anything heavy gore can do. So of course The Mandela Catalog is an inspiration (not to mention the religious themes).
The Walten Files goes along with the idea that simplicity is more effective at scaring you. There is so much power in the uncanny valley and there's no one who'd know that better than Jonathan Crane. I think it's very fitting.
Fleischer cartoons are typically seen as spooky or even unnerving to some. I grew up with these cartoons and they've influenced my art in general, so it pours into almost everything I do. With Scarecrow I can push that more to add to his kooky charm.
It's a tradition for my family to watch The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. So it's dear to my heart. Knowing it's closely tied to Scarecrow's story is one of the reasons he's my favorite. I like the idea of him being like both Ichabod Crane and the headless horse because he typically becomes what he hates most.
My absolute favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas. So how could I not take inspiration from the Pumpkin King himself? Both are masters of fright after all. Jack's lanky stature, spider-like movements, creepy cackle, and admirable ambition is a perfect reference for Scarecrow.

Two Face is here!
Two Face's Main Inspirations
Jekyll and Hyde is my biggest non-Batman inspiration, especially since I'm not taking the DID/system route. When it comes down to it, Jekyll and Hyde are the same man, and Jekyll created that monster
Two Face from BTAS was going to be on here, of course. I watched the cartoon a lot and he was always my favorite. The emotional draw between Bruce and Harvey was part of it too,
The Lego Batman Movie Two Face may not have been shown very much on screen, but clearly the hot pink and magenta stuck with me. The visually striking aspect means a lot to me.
Extra Information
Along with his lucky silver dollar, Harvey carries his ring around (it melted slightly to his finger, but the doctors were able to remove it without too much damage)
he carries a glock 19, and is fully trained in using it
The picture of Gilda is from their honeymoon, and he takes it with him everywhere. He looks at it often and thinks about returning home, but can never go through with that decision

I've been so busy with class lately that I haven't been able to work on bigger personal projects. So here's a WIP of Scarecrow's turnaround. I'm actually using it for class, so when I'm finished with the assignment I can show you all the animation I'm doing with him.

There's a few more that I don't have digital drawings for so I'm just going to list them here:
Hugo Strange 47 he/him
Gentleman Ghost uh, years he/him (past tense)

Killer Moth 33 (pending age) he/him
Bookworm (up to Fluffy, so IDK yet) he/him
The Ventrilloquist/Scar-Face 75 he/him
Babydoll 34 she/her
I'm about the start working on some asks now, but I think I should just get a lot of rogues I haven't previously shown on here asap. At least visually. That'll make it easier to ask things, I think. Also there's really no good reason to keep their designs to just myself and Fluffy.

Joker's references are here!!!
Info time!
John's scars are all from during the events, so I won't be explaining them, ha ha
John's tattoo also happens during the events, but just barely. Let's just say he's very fond of a certain man prowling the streets
Joker's Main Inspirations
The 1966 live TV show of Batman will always have a special place in my heart. Seeing the characters come to life and the actors make me smile. Caesar Romero did such an amazing job with the Joker and I wanted his giddy and fun nature to come off. His portrayal is also the reason that my version has such lime green hair and a maroon suit instead of a true green and purple.
As I said with Batman, Batman: The Enemy Within is one of the main reasons I wanted to make Joker a good guy and delve into what kind of person he is when he isn't playing a role for others. John's intro in Season 1, to his overhaul in Season 2 gave me so much love for the Telltale team (Although they already had my adoration)
Lego Joker had to be on here, I mean, look at him. He's so cute and feral, and once again, not particularly evil.
The Mask might seem like a random choice, but I love that movie. Stanley is so loveable and animated, and we have none other than Jim Carey to thank for giving the character from the comic so much life. His powers being so cartoony while still dangerous is another aspect that went into my Joker.
Batwheels Joker isn't a huge inspiration because I could barely find anything to watch from it, but I like that again, he's more just goofy than violent. Also I took the blue eyeliner from him because I like the pop of color a lot.
Extra Info
Given that John's identity needs to remain a secret in this au, (he's not JUST the Joker), I had to think of how to combat John being recognized in public. This also plays into some autism related behaviors, so now's a good time to clarify them.
John is fine in private settings not wearing gloves, but put him in a public, especially social setting, and he'd much prefer to wear gloves than directly touch people and things. Plus they look make you look nice and fancy
For the same sensory reason, John will button up his shirt. It also covers his bat tattoo as that would be a dead give-away. His hair is still green, he can only hide so much
John wears sunglasses because it's so bright out, and that's just not another sensory thing worth dealing with if he doesn't have to. The lighting in Arkham is also poor; after being there for years, even shaded sunlight can seem a bit too bright
John will also sometimes wear noise cancelling ear-buds, it just depends

Amidst working on Harvey's references, I decided to work on Gilda's as well. I love her so so much,
Also a bit of lore, both Harvey and Gilda's wedding rings are mixes of their parents rings. So father/father and mother/mother. That's just a cute little fact to me. The ring design itself is scuffed, but I actually like designing rings a lot.

I'm almost done with class stuff, so I'll be able to work on bigger stuff pretty soon. I was able to design some rogues in between classes. I have two more goobers I'll post soon when I finalize their colors.
Larizza Diaz "Copperhead" 26 she/any
Notes: Copperhead is STAR Labs' prize experiment, the prime example of what happens when they succeed. Copperhead has no sense of self and is dedicated to the lab never questioning what she's doing. Though this makes her pretty dim. STAR has decided to keep her this way because of her curiosity. Despite how frustrating it can be, they keep her in the dark about the most basic information to keep her loyal to the lab. They see her more as a trained animal than an individual person.
Dewy Alexander "Bookworm" 22 he/him
Notes: Dewy was practically raised by books as his parents didn't know how to raise a child. They didn't bother to try either. So he has little to no social skills and experiences violent mood swings. He developed an obsession for books and thought gaining as much information as possible would bring him happiness. Not realizing his upbringing leaves him craving attention. After trying to publish his own book and being denied due to "the lack of originality" in a fit of anger decides to replicate plots he has read, having no idea how to cope with the letdown and subconsciously looking for attention.

Finally, Batman's references are done!
I made multiple because I needed to showcase multiple things. The main one of course is just Batman, as that's how Bruce will appear most of the time. however, it's still important to show how he looks out of costume.
Bruce has only appeared one other time out of costume on here, but yes, I did in fact give him brown eyes. Clooney's portrayal was always one of my favorite live action Batmans; despite Batman and Robin being awful in a lot of ways, the visuals and casting choice always stuck with me.
Another reason, and this is going to sound very strange, is that such clear blue eyes make me nervous. I know that works in Batman's favor sometimes, but I like brown better and I figured it's a good way to show Bruce's kinder, warm side.
Bruce's scars (without spoilers)
the scar over Bruce's heart and under on his ribs is from someone tried to kill him while he was training in China
some of the scars on his right leg are from falling down the well on his property as a kid. Similarly, Bruce also messed up his left foot in the fall, but he walks fine (usually) on both anyway
most of the smaller lacerations on his arms and legs are from his training in China as well
Batman's Main Inspirations
BTAS was going to be on here, no questions asked. It's easily one of the most recognizable versions, and having watching it religiously on Saturday mornings growing up, it showed me so many different aspects of the Batman universe and solidified my love for superhero stories
As previously mentioned, Bruce reminds me of myself in a lot of ways, so I projected a lot of good and bad traits and interactions into him
George Clooney's Batman from Batman and Robin wasn't the best, but it stuck with me. He cares for those around him deeply
BTBATB is such a fun cartoon portrayal of the Batman universe and I adore the art style and dialogue to pieces. The 60's TV version of Batman has a special place in my heart, and I love that this cartoon pays homage to that while still being it's own thing.
Batman: The Enemy Within is what started my whole spiral back into Batman, and I really like the direction they took with focusing on who Bruce is, and what kind of Batman you can be. And of course, I love season 2 for how it handles the Joker. Bruce can be so awkward, but you can still see how much he cares about doing what's right, being calculated, strong, and confident when needs be. It's also nice to see more vulnerable moments for Bruce. I know he's had plenty over the years, it's just the freshest example for me.
I'll be working on Joker's references next and also trying to get the asks done tomorrow, so see you then!

One of my completed warm-ups and a reference for today. I was busting my butt to finish a full piece for tomorrow, so get excited for that!
This is about on par with how the references for less important (or they'll just show up less - Gordon is still pretty important) characters will be because there's no way I'm doing all those pages for everyone.
I'm very happy with my design of Gordon, and I'm really excited to write future scenes that he'll be featured in.
Also sorry Fluffy, I forgot to mark what the colors are, but the top row is natural colors and the bottom row is his clothes-
