While picking up a heavy object or while driving, if you experience sudden stiffness and the pain travels around the shoulder to the extent that you cannot move your arm backwards, you are probably under the effect of frozen shoulder. Frozen shoulder is a painful condition which involves pain in the shoulder joint. It starts as mild pain (Stage 1) and gradually escalates to severe pain (Stage 2) and finally goes away (Stage 3).

Most frozen shoulders get better on their own within 12 to 18 months. However the pain and difficulty of movement mean many seek relief from these tiny needles pictured here, also know as acupuncture. So how can acupuncture help? 🍀 It decreases inflammation and relieves pain. 🍀 It breaks up scar tissue and adhesions in the frozen shoulder. 🍀 It releases tight knitted muscle fibers in the shoulder muscles. 🍀 It promotes the movement of blood flow to the shoulder area, which helps the shoulder to heal a little faster. What does acupuncture involve? Extremely fine needles are placed at specific points on your body and typically remain in place for 15 to 40 minutes. During that time they may be moved or manipulated. Because the needles are hair thin and flexible and are generally inserted superficially, most acupuncture treatments are relatively painless. ❤️Acupuncturist Kat #frozenshoulder #frozenshouldertreatment #frozenshoulders #frozenshoulderexercise #frozenshouldersucks #frozenshoulderrecovery #frozenshouldertherapy #frozenshouldersyndrome #frozenshoulderpain #frozenshoulderrehab #frozenshoulder_sucks #frozenshoulderproblems #frozenshoulderphysio #frozenshoulderhurts #frozenshoulderrelief #frozenshouldernomore #shoulderpain #shoulder #shoulders #shoulderpainrelief #glensfallsny #glensfalls #glensfallsnewyork #upstatenewyork #upstateny #queensburyny #saratogaspringsny https://www.instagram.com/p/CCy3BUXnFIK/?igshid=1touha1smm6di

You may be wondering why you come in for shoulder pain and then get needles placed in your leg. The whole body is connected through a complex system of acupuncture channels, in addition to the musculoskeletal and nervous systems that connect the body and its sensations (such as pain). Seen here is a treatment specifically for frozen shoulder, or difficult movement of the shoulder/arm. After a treatment with acupuncture needles locally on the affected shoulder, the patient then sits upright while the practitioner needles an acupuncture point on the opposite leg, which connects to the shoulder via a specific channel. The patient is instructed to move their arm around while the practitioner moves the needle around quite vigorously for just a few minutes. The shoulder should loosen up during this process. After a number of treatments, depending on many factors, the frozen shoulder can potentially have much more mobility. ❤️ Acupuncturist Joel . #frozenshoulder #frozenshouldertreatment #frozenshoulders #frozenshoulderexercise #frozenshouldersucks #frozenshoulderrecovery #frozenshouldertherapy #frozenshouldersyndrome #frozenshoulderpain #frozenshoulderrehab #frozenshoulder_sucks #frozenshoulderproblems #frozenshoulderphysio #frozenshoulderhurts #frozenshoulderrelief #frozenshouldernomore #shoulderpain #shoulder #shoulders #shoulderpainrelief #glensfallsny #glensfalls #glensfallsnewyork #upstatenewyork #upstateny #queensburyny #saratogaspringsny https://www.instagram.com/p/CCwiosEnTaQ/?igshid=1cysld0zl8jpo
