Elsa (Frozen Fever) - Cosplay WIP

Decided that I'm going to share my progress for my newest Elsa cosplay! This is the cosplay I am going to make (with my own twist, because I like to make it a personal project):

I first made a draft pattern for the dress only with beautiful (ahum) left-over fabrics:

After that I transferred the pattern pieces to cotton and sewed that together with organza. And now I just roughly handsewed all the pattern pieces it together:

As you can see, I made her dress a little wider around the legs, because I don't like this dress too tight around my waist and legs. I am so happy how the colours came through, although it's not that visible through camera (al least, the colours look a bit different in real life). Now I need to find a good fabric that can serve as lining! ^^

Unlike the sleek, mysterious vampires known and loved by popular media, Sendou’s a bit more… clumsy than what most vampires are described to be. The moment you cross into his threshold, he becomes clingy and almost whiny: he demands your attention, trails after you while pretending that he’s not interested in you, and might go so far as to do whatever you want him to do as long as you promise him your friendship. Living as a vampire becomes lonely, and as curious as he might be about you, Sendou deeply yearns for a companion.

In all honesty, he reminds you more of a little sheltered prince than a vampire. He loves dressing up in flowy white shirts and black pants, curling up in a big flowing cape. He looks like he’s cosplaying a vampire rather than living up to the title, and he might even give you some of his own clothes so that you can perfectly play the part of his beloved human pet. He loves the way your blood beads and drips down onto his white shirt and your silken pajamas when he finally sinks his teeth into your neck, the deep crimson hue rich enough to put even the shiniest of rubies to shame.

Sendou tries his utmost best not to turn into some feral beast driven by his need to drink when he’s around you. He wants to earn your trust and to be your friend, but the more he spends his time around you and follows his curiosity, the more he ends up captivated by your innocence and view on the world. You’ve lived such a short life in comparison to him, but you have the freedom to do whatever you want. He’s entranced by you, and as his attraction towards you grows, he finds himself unable to resist his need to pierce you with his sharp fangs.

He knows better than to jump you, so he’ll do his best to suppress himself the best he can. That’s all fun and games until he caves one day and finds himself practically melting into your arm, breathing heavily into your neck like he’s been stricken by a fever. He begs you to run away from him, scared that he’ll do something unforgivable to you and scared that he knows he’ll be unable to forgive himself if he were to hurt you. But to his surprise, you smooth down his ruffled clothes and press kisses against his face. You aren’t scared of him, and as long as you trust him, you know that he would never hurt you.

It hurts only momentarily when he bites into you. He pins you down against whatever he can find, his instincts overtaking his logical thought. He buries a knee in between your thighs, his mouth latching onto your throat and his fangs boring down into your veins. Sendou laps greedily at your blood, the stinging pain dissolving into a sort of euphoric high that makes your eyes blur and your body go limp. You taste disgustingly sweet against his mouth, and whether it was from being starved or from wanting you doesn’t matter to him. Your blood is warm and rich, and it takes everything in Sendou not to lose complete control right there and then.

When he pulls away, you can hardly believe that this is the same Sendou who shyly offered you wilted flowers and his pretty, antiquated teacups when you first met him. Your blood drips from his mouth, staining his cold lips with the most exquisite wine-colored hue. He’s breathing heavily, staring down at your weakened form as if he had been bewitched. Sendou’s chest rises and falls, breathless as if he had a beating heart still nestled in his chest, and he swallows thickly. He’s savoring the taste of your body, and he’s utterly addicted to how saccharine you were against his tongue and cheeks. When he leans down to pull you close to his body, you marvel at how much warmer he feels to your touch. He’s normally frozen, his coldness piercing you like ice, yet with his undead body filled with the contagious warmth of your own veins, Sendou’s touch feels hauntingly like that of a fully human lover.

Sendou won’t turn you. Not yet, not until he’s sure that you want to be him until the end of time. But he swears he’ll find a way to keep you forever, to continue wooing you and cradling you to his chest. You can’t hear a pulse or a heartbeat within the cavity of his ribs, but when Sendou presses a chaste, loving kiss to your forehead, your rationality quivers in his stead. How far you must have fallen from grace—to love and be loved by a monstrous vampire. Even if he leaves a blood stain in the shape of his lips against your body and mind, your heart and soul has been handed over fully to the vampire.

“...You love me, don’t you? You promised to love me like I love you. Please… Whatever you do, don’t leave me. I don’t know what I’d do if you were to disappear. It’s a promise we made with each other: till death do us part.”

We found out that we have another month of confinement so I caved in and ordered more yarn - I will hopefully be able to make another casual cosplay before I leave for Iceland.

While I'm waiting, I made a Snowgie - the little creatures that appear when Elsa sneezes in Frozen Fever.
