march 21, 2023 - tuesday week 3

tuesday is my busiest day because all of my classes and all of my extracurriculars meet, but i think i've got everything taken care of so i can go to sleep right when i get back to the room!

i did some annotations on the research paper that i'm summarizing for research rotation, and we had a lecture on how to properly do a research proposal. it sounded really daunting but i'm kind of excited to work more on what i think i want to do for the independent research section of the class!

i also transferred my anatomy notes. we finished our first section (basics of animal form and function) yesterday and started our animal nutrition unit! it's a really interesting class, and iirc we're actually starting with wet labs tomorrow!

Happy One Year Birthday to this blog!!! Wow. I can't believe it now has been one year since I first made this account. Time flies so fast! Thank you to all the friends who have support me of over the year! And I hope the next year is as good as the last one and maybe even better. Which would be even cooler! Generally I say just thank you for being my friends :). Take care.

I recently watched Tombstone, so.

Ice whose grandparents own a ranch and when he was younger, he spent every summer there, no matter how much his dad didn't like it. And maybe he doesn't have as much time when he gets older, but he still knows his way around the place, knows how everything works and where he can help.

Maybe he even has a horse that's half his, that was born in the spring when he was ten and he spent the whole summer that year playing around with it and his granparents include updates on it in every letter they send when he's on duty.

It's practically a second home to him, even if he doesn't talk about it much, so when he brings up introducing Mav to his grandparents, Mav isn't quite sure what to expect.

It's certainly not Ice driving off the highway and on a dirtroad, nothing but fields for miles, then a fence with a herd of cows behind it that they follow all the way through a ranch gate.

It's certainly not an older man in a cowboy hat and a plaid shirt coming out of the barn that smiles wide when Ice gets out of the car, or Ice himself grinning more than Mav has probably ever seen him.

"Tommy!" The old man calls out, affection clear in his tone as he starts walking towards them. "And here I was thinkin' ya wouldn't make it this year!"

But perhaps the biggest surprise is the twang that comes out of Ice's mouth. "I wouldn't miss this for nothin', grandpa! Ain't no way!"

Objectum/POSIC Community Survey 2024

I'm running a survey of the Objectum/POSIC communities! It's running until May 1st 2024. This is born from my own curiosity, inspired by the Furry Survey demographics polls. The questions pertain to things like gender identity, orientation, forms of attraction, and objects of attraction. Fictos and alterhumans are encouraged to respond! being objectum or POSIC is not a requirement to submit a response

november 28, 2023 - tuesday week 1

going to try to return to posting here! unfortunately i'm not doing research this quarter, so we won't have any fun stories there, but i have four rather intense chemistry classes and am starting work at my school's brand new writing center, so there will be plenty of stuff to talk about regardless!

i don't have too much homework yet and have wednesdays off this whole term, so it's still smooth sailing. i did buy my first energy drink today, though, and i think i'll have to make a habit of that since i start at 8am most days and nearly fall asleep in my first class if i didn't get a solid 8 hours of sleep (which happens... never). i was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted LOL

i've got a heavy dose of extracurriculars tonight - wish me luck!

I do not even know why I am such a fan of TV Girl. I think the way the background sounds is very fascinating beautiful but in the way that a metal rod is. Most of the time, I am not pay attention to the words that they are saying XD!

literally the most cursed thing i've ever seen-

literally the top result of 'is lore olympus ending' is my own dang post talking about the series coming to an end and how poorly the series has been handled leading up to its finale

i said it before and i said it again - the fans should not have to find out from me that their favorite series is coming to an end. this is truly the biggest testament to how much webtoons and rachel are trying to sweep this series under the rug without a hint of hype for its ending.

One thing I forgot to mention in my AJ post is that while you may argue that AJ broadcasts Hamas’ videos or Abu Obeida speeches without commentary and that’s propaganda, it also does broadcast the other side like videos of commentary from Israeli news channels (with subtitles at the bottom) or broadcast completely unedited speeches given by Netanyahu or various gov / army spokespeople with dubbed translation. It’s also had interviews with IDF figures like Avichay Adraee (altho I think recently they stopped platforming him for good reason lol)

Like the other place ive seen Eylon Levy’s ugly face that wasn’t my Twitter feed was on my tv screen broadcast not on Australian media but Al Jazeera! Like what other media org can you say actually bothers to broadcast the other side and allow viewers to draw their own conclusions?
