I've made my pirate cookie

Meet Captain Albatross Cookie, an infamously vain pirate that likes to flaunt stolen luxury and his impressively large crew that he affectionally refers to as "his flock".

Armed with a dangerous wit and deviousness, he's made quite a name for himself in the Black Sugar Market. A valuable ally to have in any negotiation or despicable plan. But, when it comes to actual physical fights? He is an absolute coward and would sooner hightail than throw down. Mostly because he is so physically weak it's sad. Which is why he prefers to rely on his canon-fodder "Flock" and allies for muscle.

I was thinking about my cookie run characters recently and I realized that I've mostly just drawn Seafoam, Blue, Coco and Octo. None of the other characters really have any story or personality yet.. So I thought hey! Why not pick out one of the cookies and focus a lot of time on developing them? So I chose Cuttlefish cookie to start with.

She's sassy, crafty, and has a love for all things shiny and expensive. Working on her backstory is easier said than done.. I plan to keep the concept of her being a skilled assassin pirate from another crew.. and through some kind of events, she wound up stuck with Seafoam's crew for a time. By the time she was able to leave.. she didn't want to. She really liked the people on this ship. So she just stuck around. Its very vague atm but I plan to keep working on her--

These drawings took me a very long time to make. Mostly due to the health problems I've been having.. but I really like this idea and overall it was very fun. I'm tempted to pick out another cookie and make a post for them too. Thinking Spidercrab or Ellie... oo maybe Louis..? 👀👀

The Bastard, he gets reeeaaal invested in disguises. Sometimes, he crossdresses and usually he calls her "Lady Plantain"- using the highest pitched feathery voice possible. He refuses to shave, so he just covers his face with a fan. Yet again another reason for me to use silly tropes... like when they adjust the dress--

Make way for Commander Baked Alaska Cookie! For he leads the helm of all of House Custard's [admittedly small] battalion! Truly, a station to be revered by any cookie. Unfortunately... It would seem Alaska himself doesn't really revere the position himself, as he goes about his duties oftentimes drunk out of his mind. He also seems to enjoy messing with new recruits with random nonsense, games or ridiculous jobs to do for him. Likely just to see them run around, getting him his alcohol that he downs nearly every hour of the day... It had gotten so bad that Custard had even hired a Parole officer under the guise of security to keep the old buffoon in check. An officer he can be seen running and hiding from every now and then when he shouldn't be drinking. But don't mistake his disposition as a weakness... He is notably unnaturally strong when he feels like showing it off. And while he likes messing with his officers, he still cares for them on some level. Some rumors also go around saying the drunk stupor thing is an act to make sussing out bad actors and other such dishonesty much easier... BUT no one has anything concrete so-
