Like Jerry Dandridge in the first film, Regine Dandridge in Fright Night Part II transforms into a bat monster in some scenes. This was achieved as both a large puppet for closeup sequences, based on sculpts by Brian Wade, and a smaller stopmotion model (as seen in the third image) for distance shots that was animated by Justin Kohn.

My Halloween Movie Watch List

Sometimes, choosing a movie for Halloween night is a struggle. When that happens, I rely on a random number generator. I set it to pick a number between 1 and 90 (or 100 if my list was longer), and whichever it lands on decides the movie for the night. Or if I’m not watching alone, I just ask a friend or family member to pick a number.

There’s a nice mix here—some films are spooky, while others are lighthearted, funny, and just plain fun. The random pick keeps things exciting, and each one on this list is a movie I know I'll be happy to watch.

Note: Some movies share the same name due to remakes or adaptations. When I can’t decide which version to watch, I just flip a coin.

The werewolf prosthetics worn by Jon Gries in Fright Night Part II (1988) were designed by Greg Cannom. Cannom's werewolf prosthetics were barely seen in the final film; originally a werewolf transformation sequence was planned, similar to Evil Ed's from the original film. At the last second this was cut as the 'real wolf looked too cute'.

This combined with Cannom's work on the 1987 Werewolf series being cut short by its cancellation, preventing him from realizing an ambitious werewolf transformation he had planned for it, soured his mood. 'I'm fed up with werewolves', he told Fangoria Magazine at the time.

based on re-animator i'd recommend night of the creeps (1986), an american werewolf in london (1981), lost boys (1987), butcher baker nightmare make (1981) and brain damage (1988) because they’re all super fun 80s horrors with gay undertones.

based on evil dead 2 i'd recommend night of the demons (1988), fright night (1985), the return of the living dead (1985), creepshow (1982),  yummy (2019), house (1985) and hello mary lou: prom night II (1987) (not necessary to watch the first one) because they're all super fun and goofy and bloody.
