💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

I do like a good plot. I like to see characters put in strange new situations and see how they cope. It's one of the reasons I love AUs so much. There are just so many possibilities. All while still being able to keep the characters in character.

🍭why did you start writing?

Even as a kid I thought I could write better episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Chip N Dale's Rescue Rangers. Disney didn't have the balls to go where I could go. Don't get me started on my Sonic the Hedgehog hand drawn comics. LOL

oh, hands down? the community I'm in right now. all of you are so amazing and kind and sweet lol. i hate talking or posting, (well, I did before) and I have been pretty much nudged out of that with everyone here.

uhm??? Carlos/Leon???? i don't even know their ship name, they're so unpopular lmao ;-; anyway, I think they're cute together :)

onward and upward A Serennedy time-travel fix-it fic :D time loops are one of my favorite things, and this one was written so freaking well!!!

in the spirit that i crave verse (and here on ao3 as well) written by @friendshipgun uhmmm, long story short, but what if Ethan got remade by the megamycete after he blew himself up? and Heisenberg came along for the ride? it's my favorite Wintersberg fic/series hehe :D their writing is so nice and idk. definitely one of my favorite authors ^-^

currently watching: slowly working my way through Black Sails (still in season 1) and thats mainly because it's not a show I really find relaxing to watch. Resident Evil Damnation is queued up in my list to watch next time as a nice break. I'm also still in the midst of my "watch any vampire movie someone recommends me" project, and I'm currently putting together a watchlist of swasbuckling and western vampire movies.

currently reading: I have a few books I'm in the middle of. Angel Mage by Garth Nix which I started reading on my way back from Pennisc, Pariah book 1 in the Bequin series (40k) which I didn't finish reading before I left. Multiple fanfics which I need to reread the chapters because I'm behind on commenting.

current obsession: really trying to make the most of the zeal Pennsic reignited in me for my Arts & Science project of Peloponnesian War era men's Greek garb. But I'm about to start playing Baldur's Gate 3 so that will be my new obsession. Also see vampire movie project above.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

Both. For my multi-chaptered stuff I have outlines so I don't get lost in the weeds because I am so prone to doing that. It can be annoying for not only me but I'm sure it can be annoying for my readers as well. Plus, I'm terribly forgetful and I don't want to forget a key line or scene I meant to write but didn't because I went off on another tangent in the other direction.

When it comes to my one-shots I fly by the seat of my pants. I usually just have a scene or line of dialogue that's stuck in my head and I just go from there.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

Well, we all know about my hundreds of WIPs thanks to my new interest in Leon/Luis. *waves at the fellow Serennedy shippers*. I've been working on another part to the "Leon infected Luis with a dominant plaga to save his life" AU I started in .scar.crossed.lovers. and I'm pretty excited about that.

I'm probably gonna post a little bit of it tomorrow for WIP Wednesday to see what folks think so far. Unfortunately, it's not a part of the actual chronologically next chapter in that saga, because I'm weird and I write out of order all the time sorry, but it's still worth a look I think.

I joked w/ @friendshipgun gun about drawing them w/ the Barbie meme after I read this line and I DELIVERED. Their names are censored as we don't know their undercover names atm. BTW I got too tired to colour this, so feel free to treat these as colouring pages if you want! Digital or Print out, I don't mind. I'd lose my mind if someone used irl crayon, I think they have a real Barbie Colouring Book vibe lmao.

last song i listened to: Catallena by Orange Caramel off my work playlist. I usually loop my work playlist if im doing any visual based projects.

currently watching: television is fake. I usually only marathon a thing in a night at random, but its been awhile since I watched any tv regularly (last time I did this I watched half of due south in 2021. btw i wish due south was an anime). But for movies I watched Nimona and it was fun!

currently reading: I keep buying physical books which is funny because my eyes only focus to read them about 2/3rds of the time. But I also buy the ebook versions as well on google books when I can as its the only platform with a built in ereader function (fuck you amazon, audible upsell tactics get bent) which is to say

I'm in the middle of a bunch of books rn. Sha Po Lang just came in the mail, but I'm also reading A Clear and Muddy Loss of Love, The 2nd volume of Little Mushroom (I lost my place last month rip), Iron Widow, Rereading the Nightrunner series, and I keep rereading the collection of mostly wip Scum Villain Aus by Feynite. I'm really interested to know where the shen yuan and luo binghe mermaid au (which is contained in the 2nd half of the most recent mermaid au chapter) goes, as (spoilerific speculation) oh and I've been reading half a step until the full song by BrokenJardaanTech

current obsession: I think you know but if not its still Chris Redfield. I've been a long time fan of the series since I was in grade what, 2? but long story short RE8's writing for Chris was so baffling I did a deep dive on his characterization in the series as a whole and gave myself brain damage a lasting appreciation for how tragic he is as a character. Plus it put me over the edge on the tragedy of nivansfield. I always liked it as a ship, but now its kinda tearing me up on every conceivable level. I'm making stuff about it, but its taking awhile to get right.

last song i listened to: The Kintsugi Kid by Fall Out Boy. I love that song. I'm pretty obsessed with their new album actually but this song has been on repeat for a bit now.

currently watching: Nothing really. My attention span is awful these days. I've been watching Markiplier play FNAF Security Breach: Ruin on YouTube though. Watched RE Death Island four times in a roll yesterday. LOL I have such a log list of stuff to watch though.

currently reading: Fan fic. Tons of it. Again attention span is trash so it's difficult to read an actual book right now. I've started this Serennedy fan fic Nothing Bad Has Happened Yet and it's really good. It's Serennedy focused but it is very much an ensemble fic.

current obsession: Resident Evil obviously. Started with Village then RE4 Remake came out and let me say that I played a lot of the OG Resi games growing up but I never played the original RE4 but I knew it was a beloved game. At the time I just couldn't get into it but I was really happy for everyone that was excited for the remake to come out because I knew how happy I had been about RE2R and RE3R and now let me tell you guys that I completely get it. I know the remake changed some stuff but still. I get it now. And yes of course I ship Wintersberg and Serennedy.
