Not gonna lie. I have so little interactions on this blog, my first thought was that the porn-bots learned to send asks. I was so relieved that they didn’t. Actually, that’s going right on top of the list. 1. haven’t gotten an ask from a porn-bot 2. our neighbors cat (hope you visit me again soon you little rascal)3. storms (seriously, I love them) 4. cooking (especially if it ends up edible) I’m doing it more regularly and I try new recipes. It started because I wanted to get my parent into better eating habits and I’m so happy every time they like a new dish. 5. and that I managed to finish my embroidery; It’s a miracle because I’m easily distracted from my projects

Soulmates, souls, etc

Ok before I begin im going to define souls and soulmates.

Souls are continuous streams of consciousness that cannot be replicated or destroyed, only transfered and are distinct from eachother.

Soulmates in a purely spiritual sense are two or more streams of consciousness, that have a significantly greater than expected chance of sharing experiences together throughout numerous transferences.

Soulmates in a more romantic sense, are two souls destined to connect in such a way that way that a perfect romantic and sexual connection is formed.

And now to really begin.

I believe in reincarnation, reincarnation being the idea that when someone dies they are reborn in a different body and begin a new life. Now the way I believe reincarnation works is that when a person dies their soul chooses the next life based on desires and regrets from their previous life, but because theres an infinite number of lives to choose from accross an infinite number of realities that might fullfill those desires the next life might fullfill those desires but be flawed in such a way that new regrets and desires form.

So someone in this life might desire to be rich, dies, and in their next life they are rich, but in that life the sun goes supernova shortly before their fourtieth birthday, so naturally they desire to live longer, and in the next life they do live longer but also live in an oppressive dystopia, etc.

This was an extreme example but the principle is the same in less extreme examples. And unlike buddhists I dont think that theres a way to escape the cycle of reincarnation as a soul without desires and regrets will just pick any random life.

Soulmates in a spiritual sense in this system are souls that for some reason or another constently pick lives that are somehow connected to eachother, though for my own and societies sanity I dont believe that the dynamics change drastically. So lovers arent reincarnated as father and son, and teachers arent reborn as your lovers. As the implications of that could be used to justify everything from child abuse, to incest. But I do believe that the dynamics can shift over time. So lovers might become enemies, because of a falling out in a previous life, and a reconciliation might lead to a friendship in the life after that.

Soulmates in a romantic sense are two souls that in a single life were destined to be perfectly suited for eachother. This might be the only time those two souls meet up or could be the result of the continuous desire of two soulmates as described above to repeatedly experience the same connection in the same way regardless of time and place leading to what could best be described as pure soulmates.

Pure soulmates are souls that consistently choose to end up in a romantic and ultimately happy relationship with eachother.
