tonight is just one of those nights where i yearn. i wanna be going home to somebody. i want there to be a reason for me to come back after work. for it not to be my whole life. but the only personal connections i have are digital or through my job. so why bother. why not work late. why not spend my whole life my whole time being at work and doing nothing. it's the only place i get any sort of feedback, positive, negative. it's where im a person and not a hermit.

I ordered a bunch of music on band camp friday bc they give more money to artists on the first friday of the month and one of the albums I ordered was corner by football etc. and I was like "I've listened to Sunday by you guys so many times falling asleep so I'm glad I can order a physical copy of one of your albums" and they Saw my message and liked it and then I got the album in the mail and it is the LAST PRINTING of the album I am so blessed.

also there's a trading card of vanilla ice which is super radical

this is probably tmi but where else am I supposed to talk about having had an itchy butt for the last week, and worrying constantly that I'm not wiping well enough only to find out today I'm wiping too hard and I've actually burst some hemorrhoid or something and the itchiness is from the drying blood

I spent $3 on a clearance section steak yesterday, thawed it overnight to try and stovetop cook today. today comes and I preheat my cast iron pan for a good sear, but I guess my heat was too high. smoke alarm goes off, I flip, I let it sear another minute. I pull it off and it's still warm pink in the middle. my spicing was just fine, it really was just the temperature control. to be continued next time I get shitty steaks.
