send me a 🌈 + one of my F/Os for my sexuality/gender headcanons for them! - Let's see what I can think of, shall we? This won't be everyone, but it'll be a good scattering!

I think my three dads (Vandham, Dedede, and Nader) and my three grandads (Greygnarl, Paarthunax, and Zhongli) all like men in some way or another. That's just the vibes I'm getting from all of them. Shoutout to all three of my grandads being dragons in some form or another, incidentally.

Today (the 5th of June) is actually Katya's birthday, so it'd be remiss of me to not talk about her! That's my little sister!! Ferry (her creator) has semi-canonically said that she likes girls, so I personally headcanon her to be a lesbian. I also headcanon her to be nonbinary!

Actually, since I've mentioned Katya I shall also mention Dima, given that they're both from the same series and they're both my little siblings. Ferry has, again, semi-canonically said that he's straight, and I'm fine with sticking with that. In terms of his gender, I headcanon him to be a trans boy.

For some platonic F/Os.. you cannot tell me Nia isn't a trans girl. I also headcanon her to be pansexual. Following the XC2 theme, I headcanon Crossette to be a lesbian, Roc is canonically nonbinary (literally, his gender in the code is 4 where 1/2/3 are for male/female/animal Blades) and I also think he likes men, I like the idea of aroace Haze, and Mòrag and Brighid are definitely both sapphic and also very likely to be in love with each other.

Okay, now for some who aren't from XC2 specifically; I headcanon Taka to be bisexual and Cain to be trans and also bisexual, I headcanon Xion to be nonbinary and sapphic and Strelitzia to be bisexual (because of the flower pun). I'm not sure if you could say these count as headcanons if they're about my own OCs, but none of my Dragon Quest IX OCs cishet - Iris is a cis lesbian, Kana is a trans girl and is pansexual, and Jasper is bigender and aroace.

7. Give us 3 random facts about your self-insert! - okay, here goes!

The reason why I always list Sapphire’s surname in quotation marks is because Vandham himself doesn’t technically use it anymore - his original name is Aquila Paronet Sol Esteriole, and he was born a scion of the noble Paronet family, but it’s unclear whether he actually gave up his title or just chooses not to use it around his mates. Given that Paronet is one of the primary noble houses of the kingdom of Uraya, most of the reason Sapphire uses it for herself is because sometimes that apparent “noble heritage” can be used to her advantage =P

Ever since she was little, Sapphire has sometimes had dreams about a tall Blade dressed like a knight who wields a long spear-like weapon. The dreams don’t quite feel the same as the very vague memories she has of her biological parents, but she has no idea how to figure out who the Blade is, so she hasn’t really looked into things despite being somewhat curious.

Sapphire sees Roc as something like an uncle figure, given his long-held position as Vandham’s only Blade. She has many fond memories of flying around on his back around Garfont when she was younger, a tradition that was then passed on to many of the young children in the village when Roc felt up to carrying them.

9. Does your self-insert have any hobbies that you don't have? - other than general training and sparring with the others in the party, Sapphire is quite the avid gardener (much moreso than myself), and used to help take care of the plant life that grows around Garfont Village and beyond. This even includes Old Valantia, the glowing Saffronia tree Vandham planted that overlooks the village from the clifftop. Every year on Sapphire’s birthday - or, more accurately, the day Vandham found her - he plants a new cutting taken from the tree on the clifftop, to represent their connection. This is something she’s started to help him with as she’s gotten older. 11. Does your self-insert have one outfit they're always seen in or multiple? - I’m.. honestly still trying to finalise the exact details of Sapphire’s outfit, but I think it could be nice to give her some different ones - certainly a more wintery outfit for Tantal would make a lot of sense. Part of me also wants to give her some kind of design or outfit change after the events at the end of Chapter 7, because she does gain some enhancements to her abilities there thanks to the powers of coffee and milk. (..For context, Coffee and Milk is how a certain spoiler seems to be referred to by the XC2 community, a bit like Seven from XC1.)
