As you can probably tell, my face can swell to some pretty drastic roundness if I'm not careful.

The right pictures are me today. The left and bottom ones are me hosting a show 2 years ago in university and that’s with a girdle on. When my own family members look at this video, they can’t believe I’m the same person. Sometimes it’s hard to convince myself that that’s what I looked like. But it’s true.

Did I diet and exercise?

Not really to be honest. More than anything I just started trying to only eat when I was actually hungry. That’s it. Not just when I’m craving something or bored. Personally, it was all a battle against eating habits. Just habits, not necessities, not even actual hunger. I just like eating. So I never stopped, I just ate less of the same shit for a couple years.

I did it because I had extremely low self esteem, and it’s still bad now, but at that time it was unbearable. I’m not urging anyone to attempt to change their looks to fit any societal standard. By all means, try with all that you are to love yourself and embrace the way you are. No one but you should be allowed to dictate to you how you should feel about yourself. But if you are uncomfortable and you know what you want for yourself and feel you cannot embrace the way you already are, become the you that you want to be! It’s totally doable!
