Woke up to good news on the fight front, with both @shazam_155 and @specimensoares picking up big W's at @titanfighting with coaches @marcosavellan and @eric.eltigrecastanos Shaheen had a tough back and forth battle with Lee Lilly, and nearly caught him with a lower guillotine early on, but Lilly survived and was able to stay in top position for most of the round. In round 2, Shaheen and Lilly traded take downs in a pretty close round, but Shaheen finished the round by dropping Lilly with a hook in the final seconds that stole the round. In the third round, Lilly scored an early take down and was holding Shaheen down for the first half of the round, but then Shaheen got up, threatened with a choke that made Lilly give his back and Shaheen pounced on him. While he couldn't get the choke, he landed some good ground and pound from the mount and took that round as well. A tough fight won by split decision and now 5-0. Jason once again showed why he is the champion against Andrew Whitney, landing some jabs and leg kicks, and scoring a take down in round 1. He also out in work on Whitney's left leg with knees from the back mount, which made round 2 easy. Just took a few more leg kicks and Whitney was chopped down, and Jason took his back immediately. Whitney had good choke defense, but after a few minutes Jason transitioned to an arm bar and finished the fight. He is now 14-0 with 12 finishes. In pro MMA, there are only a handful of fighters with undefeated records with that many fights. He had a goal - which was to be a national champion of his native country, Columbia. A lot of people thought he was crazy - but he worked hard, training private lessons with @imkingtulio and then with @specimensoares ... and he has gone undefeated with a perfect record of 8-0... and tonight, he won the Colombian National Title at 49 years old! Big things coming next year for the undefeated 14-0 with 12 finishes @freestylefightingacademy black belt @specimensoares . My brother @marcosavellan has put in a lot of time into molding Jason into the champion that he is, inside and outside of the cage. We’ve had hundreds of fights - and I think this record will stand for a looooong time! He immediately dropped his opponent with a high kick, but his opponent sprang back up like a cat but Bladimir was already throwing the left hook which caught his opponent clean and KO’ed him.
