The above graphics help to outline what artistic expectations these positions hold. We are looking for mainstay pillars of the team who can longterm commit to the project. In addition, we are looking for a backdrop lead who would work in assisting backdrop artists in maintaining style accuracy and improving artistic quality. I really do need to know. I have alot of Sam and Max AUs I really want to talk about. But, at the same time, I don't want to clutter the asks for Tinpot Towers 2 with Sam and Max posts. And So It Begins!

So lately I've been touching up a lot of my previous art projects and its been great to see how much I've improved since I first started making digital artwork back in 2017. What's even better is that thanks to my dad I've recovered the original files which makes fixing up the smaller details so much easier!

And honestly, I just wanted to get the hang of things again before moving onto such a big step which is opening up art commissions. I'm still a bit anxious about it because things always get complicated whenever money is involved, but I'm definitely confident enough in my skills now to take a chance and try something new! I kid you not I was literally about to open up my first few slots when my laptop died. But, I promised myself though once I had a working one again I'd bite the bullet and try again so here we are!

Can I talk about what an amazing fucking story Erik tells using just his own voice and some really well-made logos? None of his characters have a canon appearance but they all have pretty distinct voices, ways of speaking, and a unique icon that he's gone the extra mile to put on screen and even have them light up if multiple characters are talking. (A detail I, a hard-of-hearing person who sometimes can't distinguish similar voices or cross-talk, appreciates immensely.) He can set up a scene just by flashing character logos (like in Inversion or Inperium), he can have one character impersonate another, using his one human voice to sound like one character imitating another, and he can make me nearly shit my pants just distorting a character's logo on screen and playing some music. Even the listener characters he doesn't voice or give any form have their own personalities, and the way he puts so much emotion in them - like that time Blake was torturing Sunshine and he had "You are my sunshine" playing in thr background, that fucked me right up. He is pushing the medium to absolutely maximum benefit.

I could get on my high horse about how the medium shapes the way a story is told, and how different mediums telling the same story must change the story to fit the medium, but all I'll say is I can't see how any other medium could tell this story like this. It's asymmetrical, concurrent, sometimes unreliable, personable, a touch interactive, intentionally vague and interpretive, and so fucking layered it makes my head spin. Fuck I love these stories so goddamn much.
