hello!! this is my first request!! can u write azul saving reader from drowning and gets angry at them out of worry? not realizing that he confessed to them just now until it sinks in?
Hiii sorry this took so long! This concept is sooo good, hope I managed to do it justice aughhh
Because-!
Summary: Azul saves you after you fall into the Octavinelle pool. You're just hoping he doesn't expect repayment- Wait, why is he so upset?
Notes: There isn't much focus on the feeling of drowning, but there's still some. Anyways, hope you enjoy! Also, credit for the divider here!
Tumblr media
If a Darwin award existed, you were really one of the prime candidates to win it, it seemed.
You'd fallen into a pool. Actually, that was fairly normal. There was a very real risk of people falling into pools, that was why most public pools hired life-guards.
Octavinelle's pool, however, didn't abide by that policy, and so there was no one around as you'd fallen in. The panic was setting in at a rapid pace.
You couldn't breathe. Water was filling up your lungs, and you couldn't even cry out for help, and you couldn't breathe-
A splash. Someone was in the pool. Were they- here to save you?
They were approaching - closer, and closer. But you didn't get to see whether they saved you or not, because before they could even get near you, your vision went dark.
You woke up. That was good. Were you- in the afterlife or something? The silver-haired boy above you did seem angelically pretty, after all...
"You're awake."
You felt your face heat up. Nevermind. You were very much alive, and that guy you just called pretty was, in fact, Azul Ashengrotto, Octavinelle Housewarden, your crush, and maybe your friend. The jury was still out on that one. Azul never really admitted his friendships, but he gave you free stuff, so that was probably a good sign.
Would this be free, though? Even with Azul's "no free lunch" mentality, this seemed a bit too far.
"So," you started, voice hoarse. "Do you, uh, need something."
Azul looked at you for a second, expression all too void of emotion. Then, he spoke.
"What exactly were you thinking?" He demanded. "Approaching the pool in spite of your lack of ability to swim is the height of foolishness! If you truly wanted to come here, you should've simply asked me to accompany you!"
An uncharacteristically enraged Azul yelling at you was definitely- something to wake up to.
"I almost died- dude-"
"Precisely!" Azul said, eyes still burning with rage. "Were I not there, you wouldn't-"
He sighed.
"Don't do something so foolish again."
That was it? Azul Ashengrotto, not even expecting repayment? Weird.
"Listen," you said. "It's awesome that you care, but I can handle myself. I've learned my lesson."
"You quite nearly died," Azul said through grit teeth. "What if that happens once more, without me there? You'd die! And even if it weren't for my love for you, I simply cannot have-"
He cut himself off at the realization of what he'd just said. You took a second to process it too. Azul- liked you?
The universe had taken pity on you! Your crush liked you back!
"I- er, forgive me," he said, turning away his head in shame. "I suppose I got a tad carried away. Please, just allow me to accompany you the next time you come here."
"Why don't you also accompany me on a date sometime?" You said, before you could stop yourself. Azul looked at you in shock for a second, before clearing his throat.
"Are you being serious about this invitation?"
You nodded.
"Dead serious."
"Then," he said. "I'd love to accompany you."
And though you could sense he still had a lot more chastising to you, that you hadn't yet escaped scolding, nor the physical consequences of almost drowning, you couldn't help but feel oddly warm inside.
It seemed you'd found a silver lining here.

swimming lessons
"You're not serious." Mal says, laughing. Her feet are solidly on her towel, nowhere near the water. "I'm not swimming."
Ben flicks a handful of water at her anyway. He's been swimming since he was a kid. He knows just how far he can splash without hitting someone. "You don't want to learn how to swim?"
"Uh, no." she jerks her feet further back. "Nobody really knows how to swim, some people can just fake it for a while before they fuck up and drown."
"I know how to swim." Ben says, kicking his feet in demonstration. He's good at swimming. He's got this. "I could teach you."
"You think you know how. It's only a matter of time until you get too cocky, and then you'll be the next body we have to fish out of the water."
"You're wearing a swimsuit."
Mal looks down at herself. She's wearing an emerald green bikini top, a mesh sort-of-shirt over it with more zippers than looks entirely practical for something that's ostensibly swimwear, and a pair of her own cut off shorts. Her bare midriff and thighs are incandescently pale in the sunlight.
"Evie made it." she says, as though that's all the explanation required. Knowing the two of them, it nearly is. Evie makes the clothes, and then the other three wear them. It's like a weird sort of isle mating ritual, as far as Ben can tell. He's been honored with an Evie's original leather jacket himself, and it certainly feels like there's a weight to the leather, and to their eyes on him, when he wears it.
"Jay's in the water," Ben points out instead. "He hasn't drowned yet."
Mal scoffs. "Jay's one of the morons who thinks he can swim, and also, his feet are on the ground."
"The last time I asked him to jump in the enchanted lake with me, he made up an excuse about needing to wash his horse." Ben says slowly. It's not that he's doubting the story, exactly...
Mal laughs. "The horse is named Denial. Or maybe Distraction. Next time he'll tell you he forgot his homework."
"Jay doesn't do his--" Ben starts to say, before his brain catches up. "Oh. I get it. Why wouldn't he just tell me he can't swim?"
Mal shrugs. "It's not exactly something we learned on the isle. Just one more way we stick out, and you know how much he cares about fitting in sometimes."
Ben knows.
He tries not to think about it, mostly. How much the VKs hide when they try to fit in. They don't do it around him very much anymore, and Mal hardly ever tries at all, but the others all hide pieces of themselves whenever they want to blend in with their classmates. Evie hides how brilliant she is, like playing dumb will make her more desirable. Carlos hides his tools like he's afraid they're going to be stolen from him. Jay smiles and jokes and says that he's not lying, that this is just who he is, like he just happens to be exactly the sort of friendly that Auradon eats right up, but Ben's seen how he acts when there's nobody around to impress.
It's not a big leap to assume that his assurances that he can swim and he's just not in the mood right now are another lie.
He flicks another handful of water at Mal's feet. "Do you really not want to learn? I could teach you."
"I really don't want to risk my life, no. Besides, I'm watching from out here. I have an important job to do."
"And that is?"
She grins, and swoops a hand through the air like she's gathering a cobweb with a duster. "Magic." Her fingers glow green, poison-apple bright and shimmering just like the lake water in the sunlight. She points a finger at Jay, in the water up to his knees and leaning down to splash a handful at Carlos.  "Give me power, no more steps, lift him from these watery depths."
Mal lifts her hand, and Jay's feet fly out from under him.
Only they don't.
Jay's feet go flying, but it's because the rest of him is flying too, just a few inches above the surface of the water. He's reclining, easy as anything, like he's being held by an invisible hand.
"Hey!"
Mal waves her free hand at her second-in-command, without shifting the shining green one, which, now that Ben's looking, is cradled in a similar position to the unseen one that Jay is cradled in.  "Hay is for horses, babe! Get more specific!"
"Put me down so I can splash the nerds!" Jay shouts. "I was gonna sneak attack!"
"And now you're not!" Evie chirps. She looks as gorgeous as ever in her swim clothes, which are a little red skirt with a ruffle, a red top that shows off the smooth golden span of her chest, and a giant sun hat.
"I'm not the one keeping you here!" Mal shouts back. "If you wanna swim so bad you can get off the spell!"
Jay rolls over until he's on the edge of whatever invisible force is keeping him up, feet dangling down to just brush the water."My spell now. Dump me off."
Mal grins so wide that the pointed fey teeth behind her human ones show. "If that's what you want."
"WAIT--"
She flips her hand.
Jay hits the water with a splash.

Tumblr media
With counsellor orientation now in full swing, you were spending a lot of your time getting used to the schedule of working at a summer camp. Early starts were no problem to you and neither was making lesson plans but getting used to the camp and the people you worked with was something you had to settle into. Thankfully, working alongside Bradley meant you already knew one person you’d be around a lot and he helped you feel a lot more confident when you met the other counsellors who’d be teaching field sports. You and Bradley had also been briefed on hikes that you’d be leading and you were able to map out appropriate trails for the hikes.
After a long day of going through lesson plans, running potential drills you could do during activities, and taking your swim test in case you wanted to go in the lake at any point, you were just about ready to collapse. You entered the staff lounge and flopped face down on the sofa with a dramatic groan, hearing the laughs of your friends you entered the room with after dinner.
“Tired?” Ella jokes, easing herself down on the other sofa as you turn your head to look at her.
“Just a little.” You reply with a laugh, flipping yourself onto your side as you greet other staff members who enter, moving to sit upright so people can sit on the sofa with you.
Bradley is among the last people to enter the room and by that point, both sofas are almost packed but upon spotting him, Freddy moves over on the sofa, leaving just enough space for Bradley to squeeze in between you and him.
“Hey, Bradley. There’s a space right here.” He points out, hand patting the free space with a grin as you fight the urge to roll your eyes. You knew Ella had already caught on to your schoolyard crush on Bradley, and you were sure she’d told Bradley’s friends too and that’s why they spent so much time trying to force you two to sit near each other when they could. You knew the chances of Bradley feeling the same towards you were slim so you were more than content to sit within the comforts of your friendship knowing after camp ends you’d go your separate ways and never talk to each other again. You just wanted to enjoy the time you had getting to be his friend without your friends forcing you close and potentially making Bradley uncomfortable.
“Is this okay?” Bradley’s voice shakes you from your thoughts as he eases into the gap between you and Freddy. You nod with a small smile, fighting back the flame you felt building behind your cheeks as Bradley’s leg brushed up against yours. The group of you continued to chat until the sun started to set and one by one people began to retire to their cabins for the night and you and Bradley were among the last to leave the staff lodge and took a moment between the two of you as you stepped out onto the grass and took in the night sky.
“I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of the sky at night.” You mumble, more so to yourself than to Bradley but seeing him look at you out of the corner of your eye gave away the fact that he had heard you.
“I wish I could show you how beautiful a night at the beach is where I live.” Bradley murmurs in response, his soft voice unknowingly fanning the flames that lit beneath your cheeks. You were sure he was just saying that to make conversation.
“I’ll just have to trust you on that one.” You say with a slight chuckle, glancing over at Bradley and locking eyes with him, bringing a small smile to your face as you do.
“That you will. Maybe I’ll send you a picture or something once I’m back home.” Bradley says, his smile mirroring yours. A silence falls over the two of you and you glance over your shoulder, breaking the eye contact for but a brief second to consider your next move.
“I should probably head back to my cabin to get some sleep.” You say, silently hating how awkward you sounded.
“I should probably do the same. We can’t exhaust ourselves before the kids have even arrived.” Bradley then says, watching as you bid him goodnight quietly before turning around and heading in the direction of your cabin.
“y/n, wait!” You stop in your tracks at Bradley’s voice. Loud enough to get you to stop but not loud enough to disturb anyone nearby. You turned around and waited as Bradley approached you.
“I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to run a couple of soccer drills with me tomorrow. I have some ideas for some warmups but I’m going to need a partner to make sure they work before the kids arrive.” Bradley says, hoping and praying you agreed to help him out. He could’ve asked anyone on the field sports team for help but he wanted you to help him.
“Okay, but you know I’m not the best at soccer so if I mess up, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” You say, a smile breaking out across yours and Bradley’s faces as he lets out the smallest of relieved sighs at your agreement.
“You’ll be great, I just know it. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Bradley says, smiling as you nod and wish him a good night before you both retire to your cabins for the night. When you reach your cabin you enter quietly, aware of the people sleeping and quietly get ready for bed before crawling under the covers and falling asleep.
Meanwhile, Bradley entered his cabin and immediately got jumped by his cabin mates who were demanding to know what he said to you.
“You know, I’m going to be so grateful tomorrow when I no longer have to share a cabin with you guys. I swear you give the Daggers a run for their money.” Bradley jokes as he sits down on his bed, rubbing at his eyes.
“We’re just invested now come on! Did you ask her out?” Nathan asks, placing his book down on the bedside table by his bed and giving Bradley his full attention.
“What? No! We’ve only known each other a week. Besides, once we leave camp we’ll probably never speak again. That’s just what happens.” Bradley says with a shrug, leaning back and lying across his bed, eyes fixed on the ceiling.
“Dude, you can just get her number or something.” Cameron shrugs, confident he has solved all the problems singlehandedly. Bradley couldn’t help but let out a gentle sigh at his words.
“I thought some friends I made in the naval academy were going to be people I kept in contact with but the moment we got our deployments that was it. None of us spoke again.” Bradley says, thinking back to the recruits Bradley had befriended during training and then again at flight school and Top Gun. Outside of the Daggers, Bradley had made no solid connections with any other Navy personnel. He of course appreciated the efforts of his cabin mates, but he was sure their efforts were in vain.
“That doesn’t mean y/n would do that to you. I can tell she likes you.” John then says, a quiet falling over the group as all focus ends up on Bradley.
“Okay, well if you didn’t ask her out. What did you ask her then?” Nathan asks when Bradley doesn’t respond to John’s words.
“I just asked if she wanted to run some soccer drills with me tomorrow to potentially add to lesson plans.” Bradley replies, propping himself up on his elbows and glancing around at the group as they all exchange looks.
“And she said yes?” Cameron prompts, the three breaking out into smiles when Bradley nods. They all exchanged a look when Bradley returned his attention to the cabin ceiling. They knew they couldn’t force you or Bradley to admit anything but they could at least nudge you both in the right direction.
“We should probably get some sleep, huh?” John says after a couple of minutes of silence, followed by the agreement of everyone else who quickly get themselves ready for bed and switch off their cabin light to get some sleep.
The next morning, you awoke to your alarm and slowly dragged yourself out of bed to get yourself changed and ready for the day. Once you were dressed, you made your way to the dining hall to grab breakfast, located your cabin mates sat at a table and joined them once you had your food. As you ate, Kerry stood at the front of the room and addressed everyone, letting you know that the first port of call for the day was to find out your cabins for the summer and to move your stuff into your new cabin before creating a poster to hang up on the outside of the cabin to make the kids feel a bit more welcomed and to give their cabin a sense of community straight out of the gate before you’d spend the rest of the afternoon after lunch finishing up your last few chances to prepare lessons for when the kids arrive. After you all finished breakfast, you were dismissed and each grabbed an envelope with your name on it to find out which cabin you’d be in for the duration of camp and once you got out of the dining hall you opened your envelope and flipped the postcard over, studying the writing on it.
“Hey, y/n, what cabin did you get?” Ella asks, sidling up alongside you with her own postcard in hand.
“Cabin eleven. What about you?” You reply, tearing your eyes away from your postcard to look at Ella.
“I’m in cabin five with Alex as my co-counsellor. I’m so excited!” Ella says happily, embracing you excitedly before rushing off to find her co-counsellor. You watched her leave before focusing your attention back on your own postcard. You knew cabin eleven would be a cabin of four girls so you wouldn’t have a co-counsellor but you were okay with that. You were just excited for camp to start properly. When you notice some of the other female counsellors beginning to make their way back to their cabins to move their belongings to their new cabins you begin to follow the crowd, chatting with some of them as you go.
Meanwhile, Bradley had just finished telling his friends about what cabin he was going to be in and turned around in search of you. His smile faltered when he couldn’t find you and instead saw the back of you as you disappeared down the girl's cabin line. He wanted to go and talk to you about your new cabin placement but he also knew he needed to worry about moving all his stuff to the new cabin. He spared you one last glance before turning around and heading in the direction of the boy's line of cabins.
After moving all of your belongings from cabin six to cabin eleven, making your bed and tidying your bags away after putting some of your belongings on the bedside table such as your alarm clock, hairbrush, a book to read, and your notebook filled with lesson plans. After sorting yourself out, you headed over to the arts and crafts room to join everyone in making posters and chore wheels for the cabins. There weren’t many people present when you first arrived but as you began to work on your poster more people slowly trickled in. Kerry had gone around and given everyone a list of names of the kids in your cabins so you could learn their names before they arrived and put them on the chore wheel and poster. You got to work, creating a poster and chore wheel for your cabin. As you finished the poster and moved on to the chore wheel, carefully writing out each chore, a sheet of paper appeared in your peripheral vision and you glanced over to see Bradley easing himself down next to you, and you didn’t miss the way he winced a little as he sat down.
“Are you okay?” You ask quietly, not wanting to draw attention to Bradley potentially being in any pain if he didn’t want you to.
“I’m good, must’ve pulled something in my back moving all my gear. I had a feeling I packed too much.” Bradley says with a chuckle, trying to ease your mind so you didn’t worry about him and trying his best to ignore the way the lie tugged at his heart.
“Maybe take some painkillers later if it’s still sore.” You say sympathetically, briefly averting your gaze back to the task at hand as you write a name on the wheel before returning your attention to Bradley who nods minutely.
“I’ll see how I feel later.” Bradley says with a slight shrug, not wanting to dwell on the subject any longer than he needs to. You nod silently and the two of you remain in the comfortable silence between you as you work on your posters and chore wheels.
“You know… I’m not sure how much a cabin of four thirteen-year-old boys will appreciate a poster on the outside of the cabin, let alone a chore wheel.” Bradley mutters, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye as you let out a small giggle at his words.
“I don’t think my cabin of twelve-year-old girls will appreciate it much either but you gotta do what you gotta do. Besides you might win cool points with your naval aviator career. I’m sure they’d love hearing some of your stories.” You say, shrugging lightly as you put your pen down, satisfied with both your poster and your chore wheel. You stay put for a few more minutes, continuing to chat with Bradley until his friends come over and you excuse yourself so you can go and put the poster and chore wheel where they needed to be.
“I’ll see you at lunch.” You say as you grab your things and address the group, but mostly aiming your words at Bradley as you smile softly.
“See you at lunch.” Bradley echoes, his smile matching yours as you then turn to head to your cabin to put the items in their respective places before heading to the dining room where they are just beginning to serve lunch. You grab yourself a plate and dish up the food in front of you before grabbing a seat at one of the nearby tables, and slowly but surely your friends arrive and sit with you. Ella arrived first with Alex, having had the ability to split the task between two people, and then Bradley and Freddy came up next and spotted the three of you, quickly grabbing their food and joining you at the table with smiles.
“All done with setting up your cabins?” Alex asks after finishing a mouthful of food.
“Just about. It’s starting to feel like a real summer camp now.” Freddy says with a laugh.
“Was the fact that we’re in the middle of the woods with a lake nearby not enough of a hint?” Bradley jokes, making everyone laugh. When you all finish lunch, you clean up and then head outside to enjoy the rest of your afternoon.
“Hey, y/n, let’s grab a soccer ball so I can run that drill with you.” Bradley says and you nod, following him to the equipment cupboard and waiting for him to grab a ball before heading to the field to practice it. Bradley talks you through what he wants to try, making sure his instructions are clear and taking any advice you have to offer to make it clearer for when he teaches it to the children. Once you have been briefed on what the drill would entail you start the activity. After gaining some confidence, you’re able to tackle the ball off of Bradley a couple of times but when you decided to attempt a shot on goal just for a bit of fun you somehow missed the ball entirely and ended up sprawled on your back on the floor staring up at the sky.
“y/n! Are you okay?” Bradley’s face suddenly appears above you, his worried expression soon becoming a look of amusement when he realises that you’re laughing at the whole thing.
“Trust me to fall over literally nothing.” You laugh as you begin to sit up, stopping when Bradley offers a hand to you which you accept with a smile, allowing him to haul you to your feet but your smile faltered when he winced once more.
“Bradley, are you okay?” You ask, now even more concerned at him being in pain.
“Yeah, I’m fine. My shoulder’s acting up again.” Bradley says, making you fight the urge to speak up. He’d claimed his back had a pulled muscle earlier and now it was his shoulder? You were confused at his contradiction but you weren’t going to call him out on it. The most you could do is keep an eye on him.
“Just… take some painkillers. It’ll really help.” You say softly, picking up the soccer ball and walking with Bradley over to the equipment shed to return the ball.
“I will.” Bradley replies. Hating himself even more for lying but the lingering pain from his accident was manageable, he had just wrongly assumed that missing one day of his prescribed medicine would be okay since the pain hadn’t been bad recently, even with the activities he was partaking in.
“Maybe we should spend the rest of the afternoon going over our hike plans, just to make sure we have them sorted.” You offer, wanting Bradley to relax a little and not overexert himself. You may not know the cause of his pain or even where it lies but you did know you wanted to help your friend however you could.
“That sounds like a plan. Let’s grab our notebooks and meet on that bench just by the dining hall.” Bradley says and you nod before parting ways to return to your cabins to grab your notebook before heading to the bench and meeting Bradley. The two of you spend time comparing notes and revising anything that needs a second look at before it comes time for dinner and the two of you make your way up into the dining hall and have dinner, still discussing ideas before your friends join you.
When you all finish dinner you exit the dining hall and instead of heading to the staff lounge like you usually did in your evenings, you decide to head back to your cabin to prepare yourself for when the children arrive tomorrow afternoon. You bid your friend's goodnight and head back along the path that leads you to your cabin and enter the small building, flipping the light on as you do so. You decide to get a headstart on getting ready for bed and so go for a shower and change into your pyjamas before returning to your cabin, lying on your bed and reading your book as the sun finally sets. When a wave of tiredness overcomes you, you decide to close your book, set your alarm, and hit the hay, closing your eyes and allowing yourself to fall asleep both excited and nervous for the chaos that is to come tomorrow.

Concept:
Geralt works in an aquarium, near the biggest fish tank.
Jaskier is a newly hired mermaid performer
Geralt was not told about this
In my dreams, it's still Mermay 2023. Husshhh time is fake. ANYWAY here it is! Thank you @magdelanesingerin helping me beta read <3 and thank you Ella-la for the prompt! It was a lot of fun! Please enjoy <3 On Ao3 here
Technically, Geralt does not work with humans. As in, he’s not there to provide care to humans.
Most of his coworkers are human, yes, but that is not the point. He did not start working here to serve people stale sandwiches and sparkling water.
Geralt knows every inch of the aquarium, knows every work position available.
He knows how to do everything, despite actually being there for the more excotic species of aquatic animals, usually with many teeth. Pros and Cons of working with the family, he supposes.
The years he has spent out in the field and all the late nights he worked with his doctor's thesis, all the scars from times he spent crawling through knee deep water that stank of sulfur and decay, only to find his arm swallowed to the elbow by something very small with big hubris-- all of that is put to perfect use as he wraps yet another dry, overpriced sandwich, or scoops yet another ice cream.
The reason he actually stays, despite the screaming children and the sweating parents and the bored teenagers and the entitled grandparents and the weird work tasks he gets assigned, is the way a young girl's face lights up when Geralt holds up a frog, big enough for him to have to use both hands.
Or the way the sullen teen beams when one of their rare giant butterflies lands on their hands. Or when he can hold an audience captive while showing them something new and exciting and incredibly nerdy about his sharks.
Geralt loves his sharks.
Due to every summer reason ever, Geralt has sadly been called away from his animal related daytime tasks to cover shifts where their usual summer employees are out sick. Which seems to be most of this month.
Where he stands right now, in the very small and very understaffed little kiosk, he has an excellent view of the shark tank, at least. As the aquarium has grown in popularity, so has their shark tank, his pride and joy.
Coën had explained to him excitedly that their new tank would have a much bigger viewing area, and seating area, almost like a little theater. To allow for future opportunities, he had said, and Geralt thought of the way he would be allowed to show off his beauties through the window and almost got excited himself.
It is unusually crowded today, and a lot of people are gathering around the viewing area and are chattering.
It's so loud, their voices bouncing around the room and amplifying, and it's hard to hear the woman in front of him inexplicably order their largest latte and a lactose free cheese sandwich.
Luckily, Milva is coming in soon to cover the rest of the shift, so Geralt can finally get back behind the tanks, out of sight of all the people.
But before he can, the clock strikes one, music blares through the speakers the speakers, and one of the employees he knows from birthday parties steps out with a microphone. It makes Geralt frown, because this is new.
Usually, the show around the big tank would involve a kid friendly lesson about the fish and aquatic animals in their tank, sometimes accompanied by a sweaty Lambert in a mascot suit.
This time, however, there is dreamy music, the lights are lowered even more, and the employee is talking about the magical beings living in the deep, out of sight of human eyes.
See, Geralt is a man of science.
He knows there are mythical and magical things in the depths, having been up close and personal with a few. But this sounds like they are setting up for some kind of misinformed children’s movie.
Which is why Geralt's jaw is somewhere around floor level, when an actual mermaid- wait no, merman, swims up to the glass, waving at the children.
Milva has to elbow him out of the way so she can serve the next customer, while Geralt stares at the Merman flitting around in his beloved shark tank.
The sharks stay clear, because even if the merman's tail is beautiful, it is still striped much like a dragon fish, warning all of them not only with his size, but also with his pattern and coloring, that he is dangerous.
Yet his smile is wide, his claws retracted to tap a smooth fingertip at the glass and wave at the crowd with a webbed hand.
His hair is chestnut brown, matching the pattern riding up along his back, with specks of gold dancing on his skin and in his blue, very blue eyes.
Geralt somehow finds himself by the rail to the seating area, and the merman's eyes lock with his.
As they do, they widen a fraction, and the smile turns into a smirk. The merman winks, and turns, swimming in a pirouetting circle as the employee narrates his movements.
As he swims, the light dances over muscle and bone and scale, the crowd around him making ‘Oooh’ and Aaah’ noises. He is beautiful.
The merman keeps showing off, his many long fins twirling around him like ribbons in the calm water. It is mesmerizing, and as the show is coming to a close, Geralt hurries to the back area and towards the tank.
He gets intercepted by Lambert, of course, who steps in front of him with a shit eating grin spread wide across his smug face.
"Like the new show, did you, pretty boy?" Lambert says, sly eyes watching him.
"I didn't realize we had a new show." Geralt grumbles. "I need to-"
"-Go and ask our new pretty fish boy intrusive questions, yes I know. Just remember he is not a science project."
With a pat on Geralt's shoulder, Lambert walks past him and intothe guest area.
"Oh, and ask him for his number. Literally everybody in the room saw that wink," he throws over his shoulder as he goes.
Geralt feels his ears burn as he moves forward again, because yeah, that wink felt very... yeah. Words fail him, which is a bit unfortunate, seeing as he is just arriving at the stairs to the tank.
Climbing them, he tries to remember what he planned to do in the first place, other than, as Lambert called it, 'ask intrusive questions'.
As he reaches the top of the stairs, the merman is just climbing out of the tank, assisted by Eskel. Once again, Geralt feels his jaw drop, noticing that his tail is now legs.
Long legs. Bare legs, that goes up, up, and lucky for all of them, the rest of the view is quickly hidden by a towel wrapped around a slim waist.
"Figures," he hears Eskel snort, "Jaskier, this is Geralt, our aquatic expert."
They are on separate ends of the room, the tank between them, but the world narrows down to just the two of them.
There is, and always has been, a specific mood to the rooms that houses the the big tanks.
The way the water reflects light, sending it dancing on the walls and ceiling, how it softens shadows, how it can be dark but bright at the same time; Geralt has always did found it a little romantic.
Which isn't something he would ever confess to unless he was swimming in alcohol, or so sleep deprived he didn’tt even know his own name, but it is there, simmering in the back of his mind.
Especially now as he is standing there in the soft, romantic light with a man, who was just a merman, looking back at him as if he has discovered the world anew. He can even pretend that the humming of pumps and gurgling of water filters and dripping of pipes are an orchestra, a symphony to accompany a first meeting.
Alright, that is overdoing it, but still.
Behind Jaskier, Eskel is rolling his eyes so hard his body moves with it.
"Every. Frickin. Time. Jaskier, good job, don't forget to wash off before you get dressed. Let's talk after... after. Later. I do not want to be here right now."
Eskel leaves, patting Jaskier's shoulder, who only nods and waves absently, eyes still fixed at Geralt.
When Eskel is gone, disappearing through another door leading to more, smaller tanks and the food prep area, Geralt finally finds he can move.
It is oddly silent, except for the metallic sound of his shoes hitting the maze of walkways hanging above the tank. He stops, even before he has turned the corner to the final stretch.
"Hi," he manages after a few seconds too long.
The corner of Jaskier's mouth tugs up into a smile, and he reaches for another towel hanging on a hook on the wall.
"Hi," he echoes, his voice just a little raspy. Jaskier wraps the towel around his shoulders, using a corner to dry his hair. "So, you are the Geralt that I have heard so much about."
Geralt blinks. He did not expect people to have mentioned him, but then again, they might actually have warned Jaskier of him.
"Ah. Sorry. I can be uh... less than tactful when something grabs my interest."
Jaskier tilts his head even more and takes a step closer to him.
"So did I? Grab your interest, I mean."
Shit. Fuck. Shit fuck shit.
"I have never met a merman before." Geralt says stiffly, ears burning something fierce, and Jaskier looks amused.
Jaskier steps closer; his feet probably hurt from walking barefoot on the metal grating of the walkway but he doesn't stop until he is close enough to Geralt to stretch out his hand.
"Well then. My name is Jaskier, as you might have gathered. Nice to meet you! Though, I am not full mer, actually."
Interesting.
Geralt shakes his hand, noticing the tips of Jaskier’s fingers are a little rough against the back of his hand.
"Is that why you have... uh..."
"Legs?" Jaskier supplies helpfully. Geralt is still shaking his hand. "In part, yes. Some Mer have a splash of elven blood, granting them the ability to choose."
Geralt should stop shaking his hand. He really should. Their eyes are still locked, and Jaskier is still giving him that amused smile.
"You can stop shaking my hand now," he reminds Geralt, but doesn’t pull his hand back.
"Right. Yes. Right. Sorry." Geralt manages to let go, and is infinitely happy Eskel has left the room, though no doubt Lambert will look at the security footage for later. Shit.
As soon as Geralt manages to break the stare into the man’s eyes, he notices the next problem. Jaskier is pretty much naked, barely covered by the towels, revealing skin, chest hair, and the hint of a tattoo along his ribs and on one thigh.
He wants to ask about that, if it transfers to his fins or not. But as he stares, he also realizes Jaskier is shivering slightly. He's an idiot.
"I uh. Should leave you to get dressed. There is a shower in the changing rooms. Uhm. Can I get you a coffee or something? Later?"
Jaskier smiles that amused smile of his while Geralt is kicking himself internally. Words never were his thing, no, but this is ridiculous.
"As in bring me a coffee, or drink a coffee together with me?"
"Whichever you are comfortable with. Sorry, I am not making a good impression here."
"You are very cute, if that helps." Jaskier says, and Geralt blinks, stunned.
When he fails to reply, Jaskier pulls his towel tighter around himself, and nods.
"Right. So, I'll go shower, and we’ll pretend I never said that. And I'll see you later. For coffee."
Jaskier’s ears are slightly red, and Geralt wants to pretend it’s from their conversation, not from being cold.
Geralt nods, and flees before he can put his foot in his mouth any further, and only after he is half way down the stairs does he realize that he forgot to ask if Eskel showed Jaskier where the changing rooms are.
Too late now, he absolutely won’t go back and risk walking in on a very naked Jaskier. Nope.
When Geralt steps into the public area again, the crowds are slowly thinning out, now that the show is over.
Parents are herding kids towards bathrooms and other viewing areas, and Geralt decides that he needs to find something just a little better than the staff room coffee machine.
It feels a little cheap to go with the aquarium café, and he realizes he doesn't even know how Jaskier likes his coffee. Geralt himself has a sweet tooth, and very few ever believe that at first sight.
He decides to stand and awkwardly waits until Jaskier comes back out.
He manages to work himself up as he waits, overthinking until he’s standing there frowning and glaring at the wall when Jaskier emerges at last.
Quirking an eyebrow, Jaskier hoists his dufflebag a bit higher on his shoulder.
"You good?"
"Hmm. What kind of coffee do you like?" Geralt asks, before he can say something dumb.
"Black as tar, so anything is good." Jaskier smiles. See? You never know what to expect, even with sunshine incarnated.
Geralt nods, and leads the way to the little kiosk where he was working just a few, life-changing minutes before. .
Milva smiles gleefully at Geralt when it's their turn, and hands them a coffee black as tar, and for Geralt, coffee with milk and three sugar cubes.
Instead of sitting down, they put away Jaskier's bag and wander around the aquarium. It turns out he never had the chance to look around before diving in for his first show.
Geralt tries to not ask all the intrusive questions bubbling up in his head, his scientific curiosity temporarily pushed down by the way Jaskier coos at tiny crabs and little fishes in weird shapes and colors.
At last, Jaskier informs him that he can't stay any longer, that he has band practice after his show, and should have gone already.
"But I'll see you again, Geralt," Jaskier promises with a smile. "Next week. Unless you want to grab a bite sometime?"
Jaskier's ears are red again, and Geralt can feel his own face getting warm.
"I'd like that," he mumble, and Jaskier beams. They exchange numbers, just in case Geralt had anything else to ask.
Not one minute after Jaskier leaves, waving over his shoulder, Lambert is on him.
"Getting some tail, are you, pretty boy?" Lambert grins, and Geralt elbows him away.
"If you say anything ever again, I'll show Aiden all your drunk texts," he threatens, which he knows will only work for a few days.
Geralt risks sending a text that same night, and Jaskier replies only a few minutes after.
They have a lunch scheduled in a few days, and Geralt doesn't dare call it a date, not yet, no matter what Eskel says.
When Geralt goes to sleep later that night, he dreams of blue eyes, of chestnut brown and gold specks glimmering in the underwater light.

While Margaret studied with her mother, Frances began her lessons with Lady Margaret.
She called Margaret 'Peggy' too, and Margaret called her Frankie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Maggie had been hesitant the first time she went to the sea, Frankie ran straight in. As the salty, cool water splashed over her, she felt as if she had found the place where she belonged.
"Haha, you are quite the free spirit!" Peggy laughed as she watched Frankie swim around without a care.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since she had aged up, Frankie had been moved into Maggie's bedroom and Lady Catherine had the two of them share a bed. Catherine told Margaret it was in preparation for when she aged up:
"Your sister will help to ensure you remain honest and pure by being the only person with whom you share a bed before marriage."
Maggie didn't really understand what her mother meant, but she didn't care. Sharing a bed with Frankie meant that she got to hear all of her stories from the day and live vicariously through her.
Tumblr media
"Aaahhh, Maggie, I wish you couldn't been there! I saw this fin, right, and it came whoosh out of the water from nowhere! I thought it was a mermaid, but Peggy said it was too big for that. She said it was a whale!"
"Wasn't it scary? The whale could have hurt you!"
"No way, it was ages away. Besides, whales are peaceful. As long as you leave them be, they'll leave you be. I tell you what though, I wish I could have swum right up to it. Swimming with whales - can you imagine?"
"I can imagine how dangerous it would be!" laughed Maggie. "I am much happier floating near the shore. Though, Newcrest is about as far from the sea as one can get."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"So? Don't worry about that. Didn't mama say the house is nowhere near ready? We won't be going back to Newcrest for a long time."
"Actually, she said that the building is constructed, and the rooms are now undergoing furnishing. I think we will be leaving in the spring."
"Spring is forever away," dismissed Frankie. "Hey! you should come swimming with me and Peggy tomorrow! You could pretend you're sick so mama leaves you in the room and then Peggy and I will sneak you away!"
Tumblr media
Maggie laughed. Though she had not been at her lessons with her mama for that long, she already felt so much more grown up and serious than she had when she first arrived in Tartosa and started her lessons with Peggy. As her birthday approached ever closer, she knew her time for fun and games was nearly over. She said as much to Frankie.
"Pfft," scoffed Frankie, "Who says grown ups can't have fun? I'm going to have the most fun when I grow up, because I won't have Lady Mary and mama telling me what to do all the time!"
Frankie began to imitate Lady Mary, which sent Margaret into a very childish set of giggles.

Chapter 14
Hug it out it's Thanksgiving
"S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N!" Donnie yells from the kitchen
I'm getting ready for my shift at my new job at a Famous Lou, Mike Tony, Tony's Pizza! I can't believe I missed pizza week but stupid school got in the way of a very eventful momentous time of the year. Thankfully they left me a few slices when I got home after swim practice. Anyway, I'm pretty excited to have a job again and start having money of my own.
My mind has been going crazy with training in private, what transpired with my future self, and my very complicated feelings for the purple terrapin. So I decided that a job would help distract me and calm my mind...I hope. A plus is that April will be working with me and a double plus is FREE PIZZA.
Back to Donnie screaming S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N has been acting a bit well teenager like and it's funny to see Donnie lose his cool a bit with his robotic son. Putting my hair in a ponytail and adorning my work hat on my head making sure my uniform is in tip-top shape before leaving my room.
Entering the first floor I look up at Donnie and can practically see the steam shooting from where his "ears" are. S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N zooms past me the wind from his drive by taking my hat with him, quickly chasing after it and joining Mikey and Donnie near the skateboard ramp.
"What's up, guys?" I say while putting my hat back on.
"Ugh it's S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N! I just upgraded his operating system to version 13," he says while pinching the area between his drawn-on brows.
"Ah 13, feels like yesterday he was a twinkle in your toolbox," Mikey says
"Yeah, and now he's a pain in my shell
He charges til noon, he's always coding back to me, and now he's drone racing all over the house! I don't know what to do" Donnie says annoyed
"S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N is at a delicate age. You need to nurture his spirit or you'll drive him away" Mikey says while snapping his fingers and the screen changes to us to the projector room and has Donnie and I sitting in chairs.
"Good morning I'm Doctor Feelings, welcome to my seminar 'Hug it out'" Mikey says while introducing one of his Doctor personalities.
"Wait when did you change into that therapist outfit?" And how did we get here?  I say confused.
"Doctor Feelings, I thought you were "Doctor Delicate Touch," Donnie says while air-quoting the last part.
"Doctor Delicate Touch feels NOTHING," Doctor Feelings says in a pretty creepy tone.
My question not being answered I shrug and watch the seminar.
"Lesson one! Because I said so is not an answer, you need to learn a healthy way to express your feelings to your family" Doctor Feelings continues in a therapist tone.
"Yes, feelings...hot, cold, hungry, sleepy" Donnie says uninterested
Which causes him to receive a smack on the head with Doctor Feelings pointer.
"No, feelings like anger. Remind you of someone?" Doctor Feelings questions as he puts up a picture of Donnie and S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N arguing
"Noooope" Donnie says sure of himself
Doctor Feelings brings up another picture on the projector of Splints scolding Donnie then he flips back between the two pictures. It finally clicks in Donnie's head and he begs Doctor Feelings to teach him the way.
"Of course, right after we move onto the next part of my seminar," Doctor Feelings says
"Huh?" I question
Doctor Feelings moves to another projector prompt and it reads 'Confessing ones romantic feelings'
Doctor Feelings clears his throat and continues. "Now my students I will now have you two complete some role-" he's cut off by Donnie and I
"NO..." we both say in unison
"I mean I totally have to go to work, catch ya later," I say while quickly grabbing my backpack and racing out of the room.
"Ah yes. Right, and it's no time like to present to get those expressing feelings lesson with S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. ONWARD...." Donnie says while awkwardly laughing as he quickly exits the room as well.
*sigh* "When will they just admit that they like each other, we can all see it. Probably in the next chapter so hang tight kiddies" Mikey says looking directly at the camera
"Uh, Mikey who are you talking to?" Raph says while poking his head through the opening
Mikey winks at the camera and goes after Donnie. Leo comes behind Raph and says "Pfft I bet they will probably say it during a very beautiful romantic moment like a dance or something"
"Raph agrees," Raph says while nodding his head
I hope onto my Moped that's next to the turtle tank. Specially designed by Donnie himself and of course it's in purple. Putting on my helmet and starting it I speed through the garage tunnel exit into the surface and head to work. Parking my bike in the alley behind the Pizzeria.
I walk in the back door and see April. I wave at her frantically.
"APRIL!" I quietly shout
"BESTIE!" she quietly shouts back.
We giggle, our bosses come in and give us the rundown on how they operate. We start making the pizzas which we are pretty good at from cooking with Mikey during our family cook-offs. Which we always come out with the best cuisine *chef kiss*. After the piping hot pizzas are put in the pizza warmer bags I place them onto my Moped and zoom to my deliveries. It was a long first day working a 12-hour shift not wanting to stop just yet from having too much fun.
I make it back to the lair super groggy, parking my Moped in the garage, and sleepily walking to the shower to wash off the pizza smell. The shower perked me up a bit so I went to the fridge to grab leftovers that Mikey left for me and there was a little note from the gang.
'We hope you had a great first day! Tell us the deets in the morning'
I smile and heat my food in the microwave, quickly devouring it. I decided to go to Donnie's lab to finish my science project which was a suit of armor that could collapse and shrink to the size of a ring. I'm still working out the kinks and Donnie wants to help. But being as stubborn and secretive as I am I'm not allowing him to see my blueprints or help in any way. It's not due for another two years but April gave me the heads up that at senior year they hold a Science competition and the lucky winner could sign a contract with an Elite company or even the government.
"I'm going to win that competition," I say sure of myself.
Quietly skipping past the boys' rooms, I see Donnie snoring peacefully while holding onto a Jupiter Jim figurine. Entering the lab and inputting the password I sit in my corner of the lab and start tinkering. I didn't notice that S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N wasn't at his charging port as I was too distracted. I ended up pulling a Donnie and falling asleep in the lab. I wake up to a purple weighted blanket on my shoulders, smiling softly I rub my eyes and head to the kitchen.
"Now that S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N is grounded I can finally enjoy my toasted avocado baco-bagel-rito in peace!"
I look at Donnie intrigued by his creation and walk up to him.
"That's one heck of a sandwich coming from someone that likes 'flavorless juice'" I chuckle and fist bump with Mikey
"Hey, I can appreciate flavorless every once in a while" Donnie retorts
Donnie stuffs his sandwich into his pie hole and goes to check on S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N but we found out that he snuck out. I hop onto my Moped to help search for him, but before we leave Donnie shows me an adjustment he added, he presses a button and my wheels turn into hover fans.
"Oh yeah!" I shout in excitement
We search everywhere and call out for S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. But thankfully we were suspiciously at the right place at the right time to hear that the Drone Races is where wayward teen drones go when they run away from home after a fight with a misguided parental figure and will regret it for the rest of their lives.
"Oddly specific, he's at the drone races let's go get our boy," I say while grabbing Donnie by the arm and running towards the race.
"Our boy?" Donnie says quietly and smiles softly as he runs with me.
We make it inside and Donnie has the brilliant idea...major eye roll to impersonate a drone to get close to S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N to talk some sense into him. So Donnie had to win to show him that the Purple Dragons only use people to get what they want. S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N learned a valuable lesson that day and also got a hug which I may or may not have snapped a picture of. Oh, and we got a transmitter that I definitely took for my science project.
After that very eventful evening, we head back home to sleep off the adventures of the day. We end up sleeping in a pile in the middle of Donnie's room. Leo took this opportunity to take a picture to use as leverage later. A few days go by and Mikey is very suspicious of sneaking off to pizza in the sky knows where. But I busy myself with work, April had the day off so it was just me and the owners. I do my normal routine of delivering pizzas and realize I'll be delivering to April's apartment. I decide I'll say hi after I do this delivery but as I walk to the apartment number I hear Splinter say "Happy House Warming Mr. Mrs. O'Nnnngggghh"
Rushing over to see what's happening I gasp and drop the pizza when I see Raph, April, Mikey in a...dinosaur costume...Leo, Splinter, Donnie, and in the back of the room is Barum Draxum.
"What is this? I thought we were finally meeting April's parents" Splinter says
"No apparently we are helping Draxum get his groove back," April says disapproving
"Called it!" Leo says and Donnie hands Jim money.
"He's not our enemy anymore, he's family" Mikey retorts
My brain shuts down after hearing that and I pass out. Which finally alerts everyone to my presence. I wake up sitting on the floor with April fanning me with a self-help pamphlet and Donnie putting an ice pack on my head.
"Oh thank goodness you're ok," April says worriedly
"I'm OK, but sheep boy won't be once I'm done with him," I say menacingly while my eyes change into cat-like slits. But I look at Draxum and he looks pretty beat up.
"Damn you look terrible, looks like someone got to you before I could" I stand up with the help of Donnie.
Donnie's expression is hardened and he's doing his best to hold back. I could see the pure anger in his body language but I looked over at Mikey and its rare to see the young turtle angry but I could also see his conflicted emotions and he had bandages on his fists. He walks over to me and I hug him tightly.
"Thanks, Mikey," I say quietly turning to Draxum and everyone else.
"Well since we're all here might as well eat while it's semi-hot. And I'm doing this for Mikey so you better not try anything Draxum or I'll have your head." I say sweetly but my voice is laced with venom while slamming the green bean casserole onto the table. We all sit at the table and awkwardly eat.
"Isn't this nice, when was the last time we all got together like this, huh?" Mikey says while trying to cut through the tension
"The time Draxum dropped me off a building," Leo says
"No, actually I think it was when he ambushed us at the botanical garden" Donnie adds
"No, no baseball stadium, dark armor tried to destroy humanity," Raph says
My mind goes blank as I start to have flashbacks of the last time we encountered each other and I start to breathe a bit heavily.
"Well, we know that last time Aqua saw him, " Donnie says while gently and awkwardly placing his hand over mine which helped my panic attack a little.
After Draxum dared to call us fool humans April joined the chat.
"Fool humans? As Aqua and I are the only humans here we take offense to that" April retorts. I smile a little knowing that it's far from the truth but it made me feel better. After a successful burn from April about reading an instruction manual before jumping into a suit of dark armor which gets a high five from Donnie. Mikey decides that Draxum needs to hang out with humans to understand them and volunteers Raph to go with Alberto Land. Donnie and I regretfully decide to go but we will not enjoy it one bit.
We ended up enjoying it, going on the bumper cars, merry-go-round, and rollercoasters, he even won me a huge unicorn stuffy. But Donnie was keeping a close eye on Draxum now and then I could see his jaw was tight, eyes slightly narrowed, and hand hovering near his tech bo just in case. We hear a commotion coming from the Ferris wheel and we rush over to see what's going on. But we end up too far back in the now dense crowd of people watching the scene unfold. Donnie decides to activate his battle shell and hover over to see what's happening. I nod my head and he takes off to take a look, by the time he gets to the Ferris wheel everything settles down slightly and the crowd starts to disperse.
When I reach Donnie I see Mikey, Raph, and Draxum saying goodbye to a mom and little child. I ended up finding out that Draxum saved the child. Don't get me wrong saving someone is a good step in the right direction but I'll never forgive him for what he did to me. Donnie walks over to me and smiles at me.
"Awww are you two on a date?" Mikey asks
"What? No, I....we, um, you see this is just a friendly outing between friends" Donnie stutters out clearing his throat while awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
I blush slightly and hide my cheeks behind my plushie.
"Right...." Raph says seeing his younger brother's reaction
"Well enjoy your not date, don't stay out too late," Mikey says while dragging Raph and Draxum away.
Donnie glares at Draxum as he walks off, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards a snack booth.
"Get anything you want, my treat," Donnie says shyly
I giggle and order what I want and Donnie also places his order. We sit at a table and enjoy our spoils in comfortable silence. I love how sometimes we don't have to vocalize how we're feeling to understand each other. I've also started picking up some sign language to use for the days he completely shuts down and it's the only way he'll communicate, still learning but getting better.
Unbeknownst to me Donnie summons my Moped which pulls up next to us. He nods his head to it, I nod and hop onto it with Donnie in front driving off into the New York night. We get to a familiar alleyway, hitting the hover button we hover up to the road of the nearby building. Landing gently on the roof we sit with our feet dangling off the edge and watch the sunset.
Closing my eyes feeling the gentle breeze blowing my hair and caressing my face. I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly as I listened to the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps.
Donnie stares at me and smiles to himself, thinking back all the times he felt this way and chalking it up to feeling a close friendship bond with me but dare he think it's something...more....only time will tell and a few experiments, hypothesis and data collecting will hopefully finally come to a bite-sized conclusion. But for now, he sighs and relaxes his shoulders as he looks at the bright lights of Times Square.
"Pizza?" I say breaking him from his trance
"Race you there!" He says while zooming off with his battle hover shell
"No fair you got a headstart!" I shout as I tuck my unicorn stuffy into my hoodie, hopping onto my moped and flying after him laughing as we go.
A/N I hope everyone had an amazing and thankful Thanksgiving! 🦃 My family and I had ours today so I thought I would write a quick chapter before I start getting to the good part of this book. Thank you for reading this far and be ready for the next few chapters it's going to be an interesting turn of events! Author-chan out! 💜

The Art of Redemption
(part 2)
previous // next // story index
__________
Despite blatantly violating the posted speed limit, Beth-Anne feels as if the drive between her house and Nikolai’s is taking far too long. She’s terrified of what she might find when she gets there, and her mind is flooded with worst-case scenarios like an unending reel of nightmares playing in her anxious brain. She questions everything; her decision not to stay on the phone with him, the extra minute she’d taken to text Stan, each tiny action or choice she’d made since hearing his voice tonight.
Anything could have happened in the last several minutes. Anything.
You have to calm down, she orders herself. You aren’t going to be of any use to him like this.
The problem is, she isn’t confident that she knows how to calm herself. She’s faced a lot of loss in her life and she’s never coped particularly well with it. Losing someone she loved had nearly sent her over the edge before, and the recollection of that makes the thought of losing Nikolai even more unbearable.
What would Stan tell her to do in these circumstances?
Think of something positive. A good memory. A time when you were hopeful and happy.
Yes, that’s it. She's had many happy, hopeful times over the past ten years. Being able to come back to the figure skating world after believing that part of her life was over, working side-by-side with her friend and former coach, getting to know Nikolai and watching him grow as a person and flourish as an athlete; all of that camaraderie, love and support has sustained her and taught her how to find hope and happiness within herself.
Everything will be okay. It has to be.
She remembers the day she first met Nikolai Pavlenko. It was on a Thursday in late July. School was out for the summer and most skating lessons and group classes were on a pause as well. Only the serious athletes were still at the rink when everybody else was at the park or the beach.
Beth-Anne herself had been spending as much time as possible at the beach. As a physical education teacher at an all-girls private school, she was largely free during July and August, and she preferred to spend the time outdoors, hiking, swimming, puttering around in her garden or working on her tan. Although she still skated at her local community centre for fun and exercise, going to the rink in July wasn't anywhere near the top of her to-do list.
So, when she'd received a call from Stan, asking if she'd come and join him at a practice session for a couple of his students, she was intrigued. Slightly suspicious, naturally, but certainly intrigued.
"Why would you want me to do that?" she asked.
"I have a very unique problem," Stan told her. "I have two potential champions on my hands. Absolutely top-tier talent."
"And?"
"I can't manage them both, can I? I thought you might like to meet them. Maybe pick one."
"Pick one? For what?"
"To coach," Stan said, his tone implying he shouldn't have had to point that out.
"I have a job, Stan."
"This Thursday at ten o'clock. Be there," he said. "Or not. It's up to you. I personally feel like it's a golden opportunity for you, but—"
She hung up on him.
But, she went to the rink that Thursday anyway.
If anyone asked her, she wouldn't have been able to describe her feelings when she stepped through the doors of the arena where she used to train. It was strange, coming back to a place she hadn't been to in over four years. It felt familiar, like coming home, yet at the same time she got the sense things had changed enough that she really couldn't call this her place any more.
She made her way to the rink area, where she found Stan out on the ice with two of his students. Stan was fifty, with a lot more salt in his salt-and-pepper hair than he'd had when Beth-Anne was first introduced to him.
How long ago had that been? Beth-Anne had been seventeen when Stan took her on as a student. Had they really known each other for fourteen years at that point?
That'd make it... twenty-four years to the present day. Nearly a quarter-century. God damn.
She recalls observing Stan and his students for a few minutes before announcing her presence. Stan looked healthy and fit, and she was glad to see he still put his skates on and went out there with the kids instead of coaching from behind the boards.
Both students were teenagers. The girl was clad in a form-fitting turquoise top and black athletic pants, and had a long rust-coloured braid secured on the end with a wide turquoise elastic. She was tall and lanky and moved as if she couldn't wait to unleash her power. The boy had a smudge of a moustache, and out of control hair that Beth-Anne guessed he'd allowed to grow a bit too much to compensate for his lack of success in growing facial hair. He was wearing the ubiquitous close-fitting black athletic pants and a baggy forest green sweatshirt with the tongue-in-cheek slogan 'I heart this shirt' emblazoned on it in bold white lettering.
Beth-Anne almost lost it when the boy called out, "Hey, Uncle Stan! Check out what I learned from a video!"
"Don't you dare—" Stan began.
But it was too late. He was already skating backwards, and with the momentum he'd built up, he leapt off the ice and into a heart-stopping back flip. He landed on his feet, arms spread wide and face alight with a rascal's grin.
The girl let out a whoop. "I knew you could do it, Nik!"
"Nikolai Pavlenko, don't you ever do that again!" Stan yelled.
Both Nikolai and the girl were laughing so hard that they fell to the ice in their mirth. They grabbed each other's hands and did a little cheer.
Beth-Anne didn't need to see Stan's face to tell that he was torn between being exasperated and being entertained. She could see it in his body language. These two were most certainly a handful, but she knew he loved them nevertheless.
Seeing her opportunity, Beth-Anne said, "I guess I'm not interrupting anything important."
Stan turned at the sound of her voice. He gave her a little wave and started skating in her direction. "Beth-Anne, you made it. Great!"
"I wanted to see what all the fuss was about," she said.
"Well, I guess you're getting an eyeful." He glanced over his shoulder quickly as he stepped off the ice to join her. "You two, get up. Practice what we were working on yesterday, and no more dumb shit, please."
"That means you, Nik," said the girl, and her companion rolled on the ice, taken over by another laughing fit.
"Nikolai!" Stan shouted.
"Sorry, coach," said the teenager. He rubbed briskly at his face with his palms and took an audible breath before scrambling to his feet. "Practice what we worked on yesterday. Got it."
Stan sighed. "I'm telling you, Beth. These two are going to be the goddamned end of me."
"I can tell you really care for them," Beth-Anne said.
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean they're not a massive pain in my ass," he said. "Especially that one." He jabbed a thumb into the air, pointing behind himself at Nikolai.
"That one," Beth-Anne echoed, gesturing at the young man in the green sweater. "Tell me about him."
"Nikolai Pavlenko," Stan said, pronouncing the name in a way she was certain no non-Slavic language speaker could do. "Seventeen years old. Had his debut in the senior division two years ago, and was honestly pretty unremarkable. But, I think that had more to do with inexperience and poor coaching than lack of talent. He came here from Ontario last year, and placed fourth at Skate Canada with me."
"You saw something his last coach didn't?"
"Obviously," Stan said.
"And the girl? She's the one who came from the UK specifically to train with you, right?"
"Vivienne Holmes. Yeah, she's my girl," he said. "We call her Ginger."
"Because of her hair?"
"No, because she's full of it. Full of ginger, I mean. That kid is like the Energizer Bunny and she's cheeky as hell, especially when she's with Nikolai."
"Sounds like the perfect match to me."
"Only if you think two troublemakers are better than one," Stan scoffed. "Anyway, Ginger's going to be sixteen in a couple of months, and she's having her senior debut this season. I need to separate those two so she can focus. I'll be damned if she flops in her first year at senior level just because she was too busy joking around with her buddy to concentrate on skating."
"So, you didn't actually ask me here to pick one of them, did you?" Beth-Anne said. "You want me to coach Nikolai."
Stan smiled at her. "You saw right through me."
"Wily bastard. How did you know I'd even come?"
"Because you can never say no to me." Stan held up a hand. "Now, shh... just watch. There goes your new boy. He's about to fly."
Beth-Anne found she couldn't take her eyes off Nikolai, momentarily stunned into silence as she watched him perform a flawless quadruple toe loop. His form was excellent and he made the difficult jump look almost effortless.
"Well done, Nikolai! Very nice!" Stan called to him. "Way to impress your new coach!"
Beth-Anne let out the breath she hadn't even realized she'd been holding. "Holy shit, Stan."
"I taught him that," Stan told her, clearly pleased. "It's his first quad, and he just started doing it around the end of May, beginning of June. You should've seen the disaster it was when he first tried it this spring."
"He's only seventeen?"
"Hmm," Stan hummed in affirmation. "He'll be eighteen in December. He's got amazing potential and I can see him going all the way to the top some day, but I really don't think I'm the right coach to get him there."
"Why not?" she asked. "You coached me to gold once."
Stan looked amused. "You practically coached yourself. I was just along for the ride."
"That's not true. You were always—"
"Look," Stan said. "Nikolai is special. He and Ginger both are. They could be world champions, but you know working toward that takes a big commitment of time and effort. With all my other students, I can commit to one or the other of them, not both, and Nikolai is... Well, he's a charmer and he knows how to get what he wants, whether it's good for him or not."
"You mean, he walks all over you."
"With his skates on," Stan said. "Got the metaphorical blade marks on my back to prove it."
Beth-Anne laughed. "So, it's like that. You want to foist your problem child onto me."
"Foist? Is that even a word?"
"Learn fuckin’ English, Stan."
He snorted in his effort not to laugh, but soon turned serious again. "Nikolai needs a firm hand. A coach who's going to love him and let him have fun, but also who's gonna keep him focused and isn't going to put up with his usual shit."
"And you think that person is me?"
"I do."
"Are you forgetting that I've never coached before? You say this kid's got enough potential to possibly be a world champion, and you'd let him risk all that on a green coach?"
"You're not green. You teach P.E. for fuck's sake, and don't you coach volleyball and run the dance club at your school?"
"That's not figure skating. It doesn't count."
"Like hell it doesn't," Stan insisted. "You've got experience working with teenagers, and you sure as hell know about figure skating. Just put the two together, and you'll kick ass as a skating coach. Plus, I saw that article in the paper. The kids love you, and clearly the board of directors of your school does, too. I mean, they don't give out Teacher of the Year awards to just anybody, do they?"
"No, but... I don't know about the whole coaching thing," she said. "I never thought about doing that."
"Tell me something. Do you like being a teacher?"
"Yeah. I like working with the kids, but..."
"I knew there was gonna be a 'but'. Go on."
She sighed. "How the fuck can you possibly know me so well?"
"I'm waiting for the part that comes after the 'but', Beth-Anne," Stan prompted.
"Fine," she said. "I guess you know I still skate."
"Yeah," he said. "I know."
"I wasn't ready to give up competing. I still dream about it."
"Do you?"
"I really do love teaching. I'm proud of the girls when they win a volleyball game too, but it doesn't actually mean anything, you know? Some of those girls might go on to play volleyball at university, but none of them are going to make it their career. It's just something to distract them from math and English and history."
"Right," said Stan. "What I'm hearing is that you're feeling unfulfilled."
"I wouldn't say unfulfilled," she countered. "Just... maybe not as fulfilled as I wish I was."
Stan gazed at her for a second or two. "You want to know what watching your kid win a medal feels like? A kid you've trained with day in and day out, who you literally think of as yours because you see them more than their parents do?" He placed a hand on her shoulder. "You talk about fulfillment and doing something that means something. That's it, right there."
"I don't know..."
"At least meet Nikolai, yeah? Maybe skate with him for a little bit? If he likes you and he agrees to it, then come and join us at practice for the rest of the summer. Call it a trial run to see if it's gonna work for you."
"Okay," she said. "But no promises."
"You don't have to commit to anything right this second," Stan assured her. "Just try it out, and if you do decide it's what you want, I'll be here to help you. I promised you a long time ago that I'd always be there for you, didn't I? You're not gonna be in this alone."
And she hadn't been. Stan had been there every step of the way to help her and give her advice when she needed it, to keep her on track when she got discouraged, and to remind her that she and Nikolai were doing amazing things together. "Your Nikolai is going all the way," he'd say. "I can see it."
My Nikolai, she thinks now. When did that happen?
She'd liked Nikolai from the moment she met him, and it'd only taken her a week to make up her mind to resign from her teaching job and become his coach. She adored his personality and was enchanted by his big blue eyes and devil-may-care grin, but most of all she was inspired by his passion for skating.
Stan hadn't been wrong. Nikolai was a charmer and a troublemaker, and yes he did require an application of verbal discipline from time to time, but he was bright and genuine and had the greatest capacity for love that she'd ever seen in a person of his age, His obvious joy on the ice filled Beth-Anne's heart with a kind of reflected happiness that she hadn't felt in a very long time, and she knew she wanted to keep that sentiment alive, for herself as well as for him.
There must've been a definitive point at which she'd started thinking of him as hers, when she'd ceased to be just his coach and somehow became more like a bonus mother to him. His real mother, Elena, is a good woman and Beth-Anne doesn't doubt that she loves Nikolai and his sister Natalya very much, but as long as Beth-Anne has known Elena and Mikhail Pavlenko, she's always had the impression that they were emotionally unavailable for their kids.
From the start, she knew sweet, sensitive Nikolai required someone who’d try to understand all his feelings without judging him for them. For him, skating was more than just a technical sport. The rink was a canvas on which he painted his innermost thoughts. He poured out his soul onto the ice, and she stood by his side, cherishing him and the artistry of his emotions, hearing the things he couldn’t say with words alone.
In his own way, he'd done the same for her, offering his faith in her and his love for her as priceless gifts. God knows, she'd been desperate for someone to believe in her back then. Without doubt or judgment, Nikolai became that someone. He never saw her as a failure or a has-been. He'd opened up his heart and mind to her and let her guide him toward what would become their shared dream. Together, they found a connection beyond words, where the rink became an almost sacred place.
The first time he won gold in a competition with her as his coach and they placed that medal around his neck, Beth-Anne felt as if they were giving her an award too. She'd never been so proud of another person's accomplishments in her whole life. Even her own lone gold medal from long ago hadn't felt as good as that, and she could hardly wait to thank Stan and tell him he was right.
After the medal ceremony, Nikolai came down from the podium to find her at the edge of the crowd. He was practically bouncing, and the smile on his face could've lit up an entire room. He threw himself into her arms with a jubilant exclamation of, "Beth-Anne, we did it!"
She hugged him tight. "You did it, sweetheart. It was all you."
"No." He shook his head, causing his floppy brown hair to brush against her chin and cheek. "We did it. I couldn't have got here alone. I couldn't do any of it without you, and I'd never want to."
"I'll be with you as long as you want me to be," she said.
He leaned close and whispered. "Forever, okay?"
"Okay," she said, and deep inside she knew she meant it. She never wanted to leave him, not ever. Even when his competing days were over and they'd both moved on to other things, she hoped she could still be his friend, his confidante or mentor. The truth was, he'd saved her. He'd given meaning and purpose to her life when she felt it had none. He brought her back to the sport she loves, and she’ll always be grateful for that. She doesn’t consider it a sacrifice to do whatever she can to repay him for offering her that precious second chance.
After a moment, they let go of each other, and Nikolai took a step back. Then, he did the most extraordinary thing. He lifted the ribbon of his medal from around his own neck and placed it around hers instead.
"For you," he said. "Keep it."
She touched the cool metal disc. "Nik, I can't keep your medal. You earned it."
"You helped me earn it." He offered her that mischievous grin of his. "Besides, I'm going to win lots of them in the future, so I'll have plenty. You should have this one. You know, to keep yours company, because two together are always happier than just one alone."
To this day, she doesn't know if he realized the allusion he'd created. She is happier with him, with Stan, with her two up-and-coming junior skaters Brett and Mariah, and all her non-competitive students from her group classes.
Almost no one is better off alone. That was a lesson she had to learn, and she's thankful the ones who taught it to her were Stanislav Kovac and Nikolai Pavlenko.
She took Nikolai's medal home from that competition, and she hung it on the wall of her den, next to her own gold medal. Over the years, the display has grown with coaching awards, as well as photographs, newspaper clippings and framed magazine articles all featuring the successes of her students. The collection always expands outward, with the two gold medals eternally at the centre.
Wait... this is Nikolai's street!
Her truck's tires shriek as she takes the corner way too fast. Fortunately, the pavement isn't wet and nothing goes awry. She can't believe she’d distracted herself so successfully that she had nearly missed turning in the right place. She swears aloud, exhaling a string of foul language that'd doubtless make a dockyard worker blush.
Nikolai's house is the only one on the street with a light on inside. She parks her truck at the curb and sprints across the yard and up the front steps. Her heart hammers against the inside of her chest.
When she tries the door, she discovers it's unlocked. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she eases it open and steps inside. The air in the house is damp and cold as if there's a window open somewhere, allowing the chill February night to impose itself like an unwanted houseguest.
She doesn't have to look far to find Nikolai. He's sitting on the floor no more than two meters from the doorway, head down, staring at some undiscernible spot on the polished hardwood floor. It seems he'd done exactly as she instructed. He unlocked the door for her, and then did nothing else until she arrived.
She experiences a little pang of heartache as she takes in the situation. Nikolai is wearing the same red gym shorts and loose grey t-shirt he'd been wearing when she'd last seen him in person three days ago, and his overabundance of chocolate brown hair is dishevelled and stringy. His right knee — the injured one — is badly swollen, and she doesn't see his crutches anywhere. She knows his leg hadn't looked that bad the last time she was here, and she wonders what might've happened.
She says his name softly, and he looks up. His face is tear-streaked, and the edges of his eyes are red as if he's been rubbing at them.
"I'm cold," he says.
She shuts the door quickly. A thousand questions tumble through her head, but she rejects them all as either inane or inappropriate. At last, she settles on, "Where's Anya?" Somehow, she stops just short of adding 'What the hell did she do to you?' or 'Why the fuck would she leave you like this?'
Nikolai shakes his head. "I don't know. I... I'm alone."
"Sweetheart, no," Beth-Anne closes the distance between them in two long strides and then drops to the floor beside him. She takes him in her arms, and he instantly collapses against her, weeping. He's shivering. She thinks she should try to get him into warmer clothes, but first she has to make sure he's going to be okay. She strokes his back, just as she'd done a few weeks ago in Taiwan, like she's probably done a hundred other times. "I'm here. It's all right. You're safe, and you're not alone. I said I'd always be here for you, remember? I promise, you never have to be alone."

bestie bestie beloved i listened to the song 'atlas hands' by benjamin francis leftwich and maybe it's just bc i saw atlas and immediately applied the song to him but idk i just think it really fits him? that sense of wanderlust intermingling with loss and the grief of a devastating adventure, 'i will remember your face cause i am still in love with that place' - conflicting thoughts because the journey 'killed' keika but now atlas is back safe and maybe there's a part of him that still aches for that which he doesn't know, or perhaps there's regret even that his own wanderlust involved keika to begin with. idk i feel like this might not fit but it's a very pretty song either way - @tbos-main
---
no because you're so right it's not even funny, when i first saw the title i went ''haha atlas'' and then i actually listened to it and i was like "oh this IS an atlas song-"
Take me to the docks, there's a ship without a name there And it is sailing to the middle of the sea The water there is deeper than anything you've ever seen Jump right in and swim until you're free
like the first verse is immediately Atlas deciding to go on the quest, stepping into the unknown with a smile, uncaring really of whatever he may face because he's finally soothing that itch under his skin that's always sung of adventure. And there's that idea of freedom, hiding that undercurrent of danger that I just think suits him and the story so well yknow??
I will remember your face 'Cause I am still in love with that place But when the stars are the only things we share Will you be there?
the chorus?? absolutely about him and Keika, and even subtly about Atlas' own guilt and feeling unworthy of having Keika in his life again
Money came like rain to your hands while you were waiting For that cold long promise to appear People in the churches started singing above their hands They say, "My God is a good God and He cares"
OKAY OKAY OKAY I LOVE THINKING ABOUT THIS VERSE IN REGARDS TO NOBODIES HERO BC THE GOD IN QUESTION IS PRINCE SASHA - so that first line just fits so fucking beautifully into the fact that Atlas and Co. are basically paid to keep quiet about what actually happened on the quest. Prince Sasha literally gives them hush money, and Atlas takes it because he doesn't know what else to do; and then that second line?
Atlas made a promise to himself that he'd get Keika home safe, and he failed in that, so he's just like. forever waiting for it, if that makes sense?? it makes sense to me
and then the last two lines are about the citizens of Prota and their near god-like worship of Prince Sasha bc of generations of propaganda and shit; and in the context of nobodies hero "my god is a good god and he cares" has this like twisted meaning, where it's both how people actually feel and it's the bitter sarcasm of keika mocking them for feeling that way?
I've got a plan, I've got an atlas in my hands I'm gonna turn when I listen to the lessons I've learned I've got a plan, I've got an atlas in my hands I'm gonna turn when I listen to the lessons I've learned
and basically this final verse is basically just Atlas' learning from his past mistakes, he knows what he's stepping into now when he decides to go on another adventure, he knows what might be waiting for him at the other end and this time he's not going to let it happen.

Tsireya x Best friend y/n
Neteyam x Y/n
Y/n only see Ao'nung and Rotxo as older brothers and they see her as a sister....
A/n: This is my first time posting in Tumblr and I don't really know some basics here but I'm learning my best... Tsireya x best friend y/n and Neteyam x Y/n is my first ever fic that ever did and... If find this fic cringe please just don't read it and ignore it...
I hope you guys will like my first fic.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm Y/n,the youngest daughter of the Ta'nui clan. I did have that much work in my family because I was the baby....My eldest Brother Ru'te he's gonna be the next Olo'ektan after my Father, my eldest Sister Sae'la she is also going to be the next Tsa'hik if my brother didn't want
I was very shy girl I didn't have that much friends as I walk away or hide when ever someone tried to talk to me. And my older sisters are the once that keep on helping me to try and talk to other children around my age but I just cry when they tried to take me to one of the children.
I may be shy but I'm a skilled fighter, I was thought by my father and 2 older brothers when they have free time. Since I like to wander around going to random places or maybe swimming too far without knowing, they thought me how to fight in case they were not there to defend me.
My older siblings are Ru'te,Sae'la,Tol'te,Rei'ko.
Ru'te is 19
Sae'la is 18
Tol'te is 17
Rei'ko is 15
Y/N I'm 13
Yes as you can see three of my siblings are in order of age because in the Ta'nui clan you must have more than Two child and because my family was the leaders they must have more child faster.
Being a he youngest is not that easy but it was still fun going anywhere you want.As the youngest daughter of the Olo'ektan and Tsa'hik of the Ta'nui clan I did my duty to help my people any time they need help.
Then my mother has told me to get her some corrillia flowers. Those flowers are under the water near the Metkayina clan.
"Ma'ite do you mind gathering some corrillia flowers?. I need it for my lesson today ite" my mother ask
"No problem mom, I will go get them" I said with a big smile
"Thank you Ma'ite, don't take too long dear I need the flowers for my lessons today." my mother said with a smile
I just nod and grab the basket she prepare for gathering the herbs and I went out to my ilu.
I made clicking sounds to call my beautiful ilu lala. Once she was beside me I went on top of her and told her to dive and we both went to the other side of my village to gather the herbs that my mother wanted, the herbs were called corrillia they can be found between the under water border of the Metkayina and Ta'nui clan.
Once I reach the corrillia farm I went there and saw some other na'vis there and they were form the Metkayina. I wave to them and they do the same. While I was busy collecting some corrillia I didn't notice Tsireya swimming behind me with her mother in tail.
Tsireya swim towards me quitely and tickle my side that cause me to jump in the water and turn around and saw her smiling brightly. Then I saw her mother at the back I greeted her and smiled. She did the same and sign to both of us to go up the surface.
Once we three have went up the Tsa'hik, Tsireyas mother ask me how is my mother doing and the clan.
"How is Tu'rui doing?" Ronal ask
"My mother is doing fine and so is the clan. How about you and your family?" I said
"We too are doing fine, Tsireya here insisted we should go and find some sea shells as to make a special necklace for someone" Ronal said with a little smirk.
I look at Tsireya with a teasing smile "How nice of you Tsireya" I said with a teasing voice and she just rolled here eyes on my behavior while Ronal Chuckle on her attitude.
Suddenly Ronal face to me with a slight frown. "Y/n while I was doing my duties as a Tsa'hik I received a vision by Eywa that some na'vis will come here in the Metkayina clan. I too will tell you so the Ta'nui clan will know what is coming. I look at her and nod
After some time on talking to them I said my good byes and swim back with my ilu with the basket full of corrillia.
When I went back home my mother is already waiting for my arrival infront of our marui pod.
"Mother I apologize if I made you wait, I got carried away talking with the Tsa'hik and her daughter Tsireya from the Metkayina" I explain to her so she would not worry so much that I was late.
"That's lovely dear, how was Ronal and her daughter doing?" My mother ask
"They were fine mother and she told she received a vision that someone or a group will arrive in there clan mother"
My mother look at my with the eyes that I couldn't quite read and she said. "Ma'ite when you go back there to the Metkayina be sure you are careful it might be sky people raiding our neighboring clans." Mother said with a serious look.
"Yes mother I will" after I said it she then said.
"Well dear you missed lunch, you go better eat your lunch it's still near the pot so it's still warm"
"Okay ma thank you"
"Your welcome dear"
While I was eating my food my older brother Rei'ko went in with a big bruise in his left cheek and a bloody knuckles that looks like we got on a fight.
"Hello, brother what happened?" Reffing to his injurys.
He look at me while covering his bruised cheek"Well there was a match this morning and I decided to join, even tho I was not allowed too by father and I kinda underestimate him and he end up beating me." He said while rubbing his bruised cheek knowing it would hurt when he touch it.
I cover my mouth to not laugh."You said that he beat you up and why do you have a bloody knuckles?" I pointed to his knuckles that are bleeding and some part dry.
He give me a waring look not to laugh."Well I kinda got mad after and went to the forest to punch a tree like it was him"
I couldn't help but laugh at my brothers actions."HAHAHAHHAHA" after some minutes of laughing I calm down and told him."You know very well when you disobey dad's rules ya know? Why would you even join them, even tho father forbade it for a reason.
My brother sits Infront of me and said."Yeah I know..I was just bored okay, I can't even help them go hunting plus I can't go to the Metkayina without you." He said while carefully crossing his arms.
I look back to him and sigh I stand up "I will treat you're wounds, in exchange you can't leave my side when we're in the Metkayina clan." I stand with tm arms cross and smile widely.
My brother just nods and look away.I smile even more when he nods, I walk to my room and grab my healing pot and went back beside my brother.I start to grind some fresh herbs for his wounds.Once I finish grinding them all I gently put the paste to my brothers bruise cheek and wounded knuckles.He hiss in pain but bare it because it was his fault for being a Skaxwng.
Once I was finish putting some paste in his bruise ."I'm done.. there is still some left over paste you will apply this any time the paste wash away so it will heal faster." I said while giving him my pot so he could put this in any container he wants.
"Yeah, Thanks...btw don't tell Father about this or else he will skin me alive" He said making sure I won't tell.
"Dad? I don't think he would tho, since he doesn't care if you disobey his rules but I'm sure mom would" I said while giggling.
My brother glare at me "Shut it Bum head or one of our sisters will hear us" he said knowing our sisters loves to eves drop on people.
I stop giggling and said."Well I'm free for the whole afternoon... Do you wanna join me on going to the Metkayina?" I ask
He nods and went to grab his knife and mine on the shelf. "Yeah I'm coming, it's been a while since I last hang out with Ao'nung and Rotxo."
I smiled and take the knife that me handed me over. As we were leaving the pod Rei'ko made some clicking sounds to call for our Ilus.I dive down to the water and connect with Lala my Ilu. After a few minutes we finally arrive in the Metkayina and we decided to went down on our ilus and walk our way to some near pods.
As we were walking we heard someone above us flying an ikran five of them to be exact. I exchange looks with my brother and we both run towards the middle part of the village where everyone is surrounding the new visitors in the Metkayina.
When we arrive I greeted some of the Metkayina people and they did the same they made space for us to walk past them, I was behind my brother so I didn't really see the new comers that much. I tried to look in Rei'kos side but he keeps blocking me. And on the corner I saw Ao'nung and Rotxo entering the crowd, they didn't look at us because they were busy looking and making fun at the new commers.
Then one Metkayina girl caught my eyes. It was Tsireya I smile and called for her. She saw me and went towards me,I then lean to her and whisper.
"Is this the vision that the Tsa'hik told me about?" I whisper to her and she nods.She then went on Ao'nung and Rotxos side to scold them.
"Do not Ao'nung,Rotxo" Tsireya look at Rei'ko "You too rei stop it"
Rei'ko simply rolls his eyes and back up.While my brother was busy making fun together with Ao'nung. I look at the new commers curious on why the Forest clan come here?. I got too curious and and step in quite forward almost going near the Na'vi boy in front of me but I was not looking at him but to his side with the other Na'vi with an extra finger. I was too busy looking at his fingers I was suddenly pulled back and landed on someones hard chest.
I look behind me and saw it was my brother who was griping on my arm quiet hard.
"what are you doing Y/n?" he said while still glaring at the boy in front of us.
I look up to my brother while trying to take his hand off my arm.
"let go brother it hurts.." I said seeing some bruise on my arm due to his hard grip on my arm.
He rolled his eyes and said "No, you'll end up going near them bum head." He said griping my arm lightly.
While the Olo'ektan of the Metkayina was having a talk with Toruk Makto's family Ronal went in and inspect the new commers. She was walking around the family checking there tails and hands,she then stop in front of my and look at my brother.
"Take near Tsireya" I head Ronal said in a whisper tone to my brother.
My Brother nods and pull me gently towards Tsireya who is beside Ao'nung and the Olo'ektan. I walk beside Tsireya and she hug from my side as I do the same.My brother went on my left still staring at Toruk Makto's sons.
While they were talking I didn't notice my self staring at the eldest boy. He was pretty handsome in my opinion and tall. Then I notice him staring to me I look away immediately even tho knowing he knows I was staring at him. I got embarrassed and went behind Tsireya to cover my face on her back.
Tsireya was confused on my behavior and ask. "Are you alright Y/n?" She said in a whisper tone.
"yeah,...I'm fine Reya"
While I was hiding behind Reya I heard my name being called by the Olo'ektan.
"My son Ao'nung and Daughter Tsireya will show you're children on what to do together with our trusted Friend Rei'ko and Y/n."
I was confused on why I was included but I didn't said anything and continue to follow Tsireya in.But I didn't go near her as my brother pulled me again. I just sigh and hold his arm making his grip on my arm lossen.
"Come I will show you our village" Tsireya said happily. We followed her from the back of the Sully family. As I walk behind my brother I can't help but look at the sully boy from earlier,his back was facing us so I didn't see his face. I keep staring at his back not noticing my brother looking at me.
After some time walking we reach the marui pod that they will live in, as they put there stuff on the ground I still keep looking at the older sully boy. I haven't know his name yet, Im too shy to ask for it so I wait till someone will ask for it.
Tsireya was talking with Toruk Makto for the schedule to train with us, together with the sully Siblings."The training starts tomorrow early morning.." Tsireya said.
Jake Sully nods and thank Tsireya again for showing them the marui pod. We said our goodbyes and walk back to go to Tsireya's marui pod.
There both the Olo'ektan and Tsa'hik are waiting for us to return. While we were hangout with Reya's family Rei'ko told me we should head back now before eclipse. I nod at him and we said our good byes to them.
As Rei'ko and I walk to go our Ilus I saw the eldest sully boy his back facing us sharping a knife. I got distracted and didn't see the small rock and I trip on it. I was about to fall face flat but it didn't happened as my brother catch me before I could hit the ground. I was embarrassed because I saw the Sully boy face to us now, but my eyes didn't last long on him as my brother block the way and ask if I was okay.
"Yeah I'm good..." I look up to my brother and notice him frowning a little. "What?" He still frowns but pat my head softly."Nothing, we sould go now mother is waiting for us". He said and turn around
I was confused but didn't question him more as I walk fast to catch up to my brother.
When we went home it was dark and our both or parents are outside the marui pod waiting for our arrival.
"what took you kids so long?" Our Mother questions worriedly while hugging both of us and Rei'ko answered he question. "Both of us are with Tsireya and Ao'nung with Rotxo mother, we were hanging out and hunt for a little while." I look at my brother waiting for him to say about the new commers which are the sully family. But since he didn't say anything I step a bit forward to tell my mother."Mother about the new commers that I have told you earlier, they have arrived in the Metkayina when both me and Rei'ko went there."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/n: If some of you have already read this fanfic, i just want you to know that I have edited it and I have change a lot of the story.
Before I edit this the reader was a strong Ta'nui girl and a total hater of the Omaticaya especially of Neteyam something like that.

Enjoying the long summer days
Wednesday morning started out nicely with a swim and then as we were about to stroll to breakfast I realised I had the wrong time for my Spanish lesson do had to wolf down my breakfast.
After my lesson which I’m really enjoying, it was home for a shower and then we both cycled off to the last Spanish conversation session until after the summer. As it was our last for a while we all had lunch in the bar where we meet.
Quite full and by now also quite hot, we headed off to storage to take somethings back and grab a few more things. Hopefully that’s our last trip there until we head off in Tessi in a few weeks.
Late Wednesday afternoon we headed out to do a couple of errands and then met up with our Dutchie mates at the beach. It was after 8pm by the time we all headed home (and no drinks today, just ice cream).
Thursday morning was cycling and I braved the group again. We didn’t go as far but the pace was certainly up. I was ok when we were sitting around 31-32, but when it sneaked up to 35-36 if I lost a wheel I was gone. So I was getting a few shoves to get me back on and also some assistance on the climbs which came late on in the piece 😩 I wasn’t the only one getting a bit of assistance, but I was definitely getting the lions share.
Finally back in L’Escala I collapsed into the bar. Unfortunately the bar we went to today doesn’t have gluten free beer, so after a Diet Coke 🙄 we went in search of a bar near home that did. Our efforts were rewarded so we had gf shandies and patatas bravas 😋
We had lunch back at home and after mooching for a bit did some admin things we needed to get done. I had planned to clean the balcony but that was a bridge too far after this morning’s ride.
Late afternoon we headed out for a swim. It was quite overcast and looked threatening but was still warm. As we were setting up on the beach our friends Katharine and Stephen came over to say hi, they were just on their way to the anchovy bar near our place. Needless to say it wasn’t long before we were off the beach and joined them at the bar.
In the end we only got a few spots of rain but we enjoyed a couple of drinks before heading home for some food and I’d say an early night but it’s already nearly gone 10pm 🥱

It's Always You
Chapter 8: How Dare You
Vegas continued to stare at the barely visible koi fishes swimming under the pagoda. He was contemplating on what he should and should not say, and how to say them. Meanwhile, Kim was getting worried as his cousin continued to stay silent. It was an indication of how much Vegas was trying to filter through. He knows his cousin will have a lot to ask and say, and he's already preparing himself for them. A few moments later, Vegas stood straight and stared ahead as he started speaking.
"Be honest with me, Kim. Just how drunk were you that night?" Vegas asked.
"Drunk enough to be an asshole. But I was not drunk enough to say I did not know what I was doing and that I couldn't remember what happened," Kim admitted.
Vegas scoffed. "So, I really can't excuse your behavior," he mumbled in the midst of contemplation, a wry smile on his face. A very sarcastic chuckle came out from his lips the next moment. "Do you know that a drunken man's words are a sober man's thoughts?" Kim can feel his cheeks go red in shame. "Even I can't help but think that you don't love Porchay even if—" Vegas raised a finger to shut Kim down when he was about to interrupt him. "Even if I know that you genuinely and wholeheartedly love him." Vegas continued.
Tumblr media
"KIM!" they heard a voice shout just as Kim was about to affirm what Vegas said. The cousins hurriedly turned around only to be surprised by a shadow lunging at Kim and throwing a punch straight to his cheek. Vegas immediately took Macau's arms and pulled him back before his younger brother could throw another punch.
Kim's face was facing the side due to the intensity of the impact of Macau's fist. Vegas can already see the blossoming of a bruise on his cheek. It caused the hold on his still struggling younger brother to tighten even more. Furthermore, the sight of Pete and Chay standing on the side made his frustration with his brother skyrocket. Pete was holding Chay back, stopping him from getting near the explosive Macau since the latter can become unpredictable.
"HIA! LET ME GO, HIA!" the younger male shouted as he tried to shake off his brother's hold. "THAT BASTARD NEEDS A BEATING! I'MMA BEAT YOUR ASS, YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" Macau has been shouting as he struggled against his brother's strong and tightening hold.
"Macau," Vegas called his name in a menacing voice. It serves as the younger's initial warning. Moreover, it's the tone that can make everyone's blood run cold, including Pete who never cower in front of his lover.
However, Macau continues to struggle against Vegas' hold. He refuses to pay his brother's warning any heed due to the intensity of his anger. "I need to teach that asshole a lesson! Let go, Hia!" he shouted at his brother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At that time, Kim had already recovered from the younger man's blow. He watched as Macau continued to struggle against his brother. Vegas' face is getting colder and angrier with every second Macau struggles, unbeknownst to the latter.
"Macau, please?" Chay begs from just outside the pagoda. "Enough, Cau. It's already done," he continues in a pleading voice.
Macau managed to free one of his arms, but Vegas was too strong and was able to securely hold on to his other arm. The hold Vegas has on one of Macau's arms prevented him from getting near enough and grasping Kim.
Macau faced Porchay and Pete who were standing just outside the pagoda, his expression still fuming mad. "I don't fucking care, Porchay! He hurt you! It doesn't matter if it was yesterday or over a year ago! The bottomline is YOU DID NOT FUCKING DESERVE IT!" he shouted at his pleading best friend. He faced Kim again while still trying to shake off his older brother. "All Porchay did was love you, Kimhan. My best friend gave you everything and all you did in return is invalidate how he feels and take him for granted?!" Macau chidingly scoffed as he shook Vegas for the last time. "I know the same blood runs in our veins, you being my cousin and all. But I'm ashamed to even think I'm related to such an asshole," he seethes. "Don't even think about ever trying to win Porchay back. Don't even start, Kim. I will fucking end your life if you even so much as attempt to get back with him," Macau threatens his older cousin before stomping out of the pagoda to go back to the house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Porchay was looking at Kim sadly. His eyes were gleaming with tears although the redness tells you that he has been crying prior to the encounter. It hurts Kim to see Chay looking so sad and forlorn, and it feels like he is being torn apart. However, he chose to look away as Macau got to Chay, taking his hand and dragging him back inside the house.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
You felt exhausted and drained. The face-off with your mom and worrying due to Kim's non-response took a very heavy toll on you. It left you feeling empty.
You were sitting defeatedly on the floor while leaning on your bed. It's where you has been sitting ever since you received Kim's texts that tells you he's busy. Gathering your knees to your chest, you planted your face on top of them and breathed deeply. Tears were welling up on the sides of your eyes, threatening to come out without your bidding.
Although you felt empowered by how you managed to successfully stand up to your mother, it also weighed down on your mind. The guilt and repercussions are already hurting you without ever leaving a mark on you or leaving a physical wound.
You know you did the right thing. It's what's best for you, physically and mentally. The torture that was your mother's unfeeling existence, you father's nonchalance and your sister's animosity towards you made life a living hell. It was like living with demons and their mental torture. you felt relieved when you were able to escape from it all.
Yet, all those years of mental torture engraved in you that escaping is the largest sin you could ever commit. You continue to be unconsciously dragged back to that psychological hell. No matter how hard your struggle, you are continuously being subjected to a mental torment that you wouldn't wish anyone to experience, even to your greatest enemies.

Your phone has been vibrating beside you. You lost count how many times it rang, notifying you of calls from various people. Nevertheless, no matter how much it rang, you chose to ignore it. It rang again after a few seconds and continues to ring incessantly. Now, Noë is nudging you, urging you to pick up the phone.
You listlessly lifted your head and patted the top of the white dog's head but still ignored the ringing beside you. Noë came closer and nuzzled his head with hers. Her phone is still incessantly ringing beside her, so you picked it up and answered the call.
"Oh, thank heavens! You finally answered the phone," came a voice from the speakers. It sounded so relieved that you scoffed. "I have been calling you for hours and you only picked up now?" It continues, not even waiting for you to speak. "Do you know how worried I was? I was on the verge of having a breakdown just because you refuse to answer my texts and calls! Bitch—" the voice ranted before you interrupted.
"I don't have time for this, Tay," you said, loud enough for the voice on the other end of the call to hear.
"Bitch! Make time! You stressed me out! I felt like I aged 20 years in those few hours that I can't reach you," he was unamused. "Know what, I'm coming to your condo! I was on my way there, anyway, if you decided to still refuse to answer my calls," Tay said before he cut the line.
Tumblr media
You can't help but release a shuddering breath. Noë was still in front of you, intently looking. It was as if he was ensuring his human is okay. you can't help but smile at your dog. Wanting to feel comfort, you pulled Noë towards you. The white fluffy beast willingly walked between your legs and plopped his meaty body on your chest to provide comfort and affection. "You're the only constant in my life, you adorable beast," you affectionately whispered against your dog's head. "So, you can never leave me, okay?" you asked for Noë's affirmation and felt his tongue on your arm. The simple affectionate gesture your dog did made a small smile appear on your lips.

3,600 year-old language that I don't know how to read or write, yet it's in my chead near constantly.
I'll never forgive myself for abstaining from piano lessons while the rest of my siblings partook. I still don't exactly know why I opted out. .
At first, I wanted to blame it on my dad. He was occasionally volatile. Certain things set him off like a powqderkeg. He loved good music, but he had little patience for the learning process. I saw how he steamed when my siblings were practicing music and failing... when they were repeating the same set of notes over and over. It drove him crazy.
I notice some of myself in that.
The second thibng I realized is my disdain for regimentation. It's weird. It seems hypocritical and contradictory. I like for my work schedule to be the same, but; I don't want my voluntary pursuits to be engraved in such a way.
I understand also that any teacher would look upon teaching a new student as a job that should be regimented in the same way that I've regimented my own job. So I do not blame the teacher.
So... What is to blame?
What if nothing is to blame? Or, rather, what if entropy and/or physics itself is to blame?
Or....
What if it's been me this whole time?
What if it's my own failure to take an initiative of my own .. out of a fear that I might discover how stupid and incapable I really am?
And,2
The reason I'm so bitter and cynical is because I see all these people around me being wildly successful while being so seemingly oblivious..?
I've been my own prison guard,4 my own prisoner for basically my entire life because I'm afraid to let myself free.... It's like I'm my own overbearing parent.
I tell myself that I can do great things but then I'm simultaneously telling myself that I'm gonna fail and will the have to swim back home to mommy.
Why?
Why am I so afraid?
Did I see something?
Lol1, no.
Why didn't I want to learn piano with my siblings?

Malory Towers Medium Crawl
By: NGWriter728
Welcome to the Malory Towers Medium Word Crawl, where I will release a crawl every five days. Each crawl is approximately one term of you in the all-girl’s boarding school Malory Towers. (this varies depending on the crawl)
You will need: a brain (hopefully you remembered it!), whatever you need to write on and with, a timer, a set of dice, and some time!
Helpful links:
4thewords 2 - This crawl is compatible with 4thewords (In each crawl, there is a blurred part which tells you what monster to defeat. There are a few parts where you don’t need to do this.)
Online dice (six-sided)
Fifty-head Hydra (writing challenge)
Online timer (if you go onto Projects, then Stats, there is a clock icon somewhere on that page. You can use that, or simply this link!)
My other Malory Towers Crawl 3 (this also explains what happens in the series by Enid Blyton)
Each year will be divided into two sections:
Main terms: Complete each task and make progress on your learning (and writing) journey.
Extra tasks: Optional tasks which are smaller and reward you but must be completed after the Main terms.
Choosing your character This is completely optional, so feel free to skip this part! If you skip it, please still have a look at the instructions below. Each character starts off with a certain amount of Money, OM (these are detention, or order marks that you will only get to use in Sixth Form), and EP (these are energy points that you use and earn.) If you are not choosing a character, be whatever you want, just start off with 4EP and 45p.
Characters:
Felicity, the main character, is intelligent and hardworking. 5EP, Money 40p.
June, a cheeky girl who is also very bright. 7EP, Money 25p.
Freddie, June’s friend, loves being cheeky and doing tricks. 6EP, Money 30p.
Susan, Felicity’s friend, is sensible and hardworking. 4EP, Money 50p.
Bonnie, a girl who is annoying but has a few surprising tips and ideas up her sleeve. 4EP, Money 50p.
Amy, who is rich and has a strange family secret. 3EP, Money 60p.
Veronica, spiteful, not well liked. 3EP, Money 57p.
The School Shop
Sweets (small packet). A tantalizing snack. 16p. Cannot Sell
Tennis racket and tennis balls. Old, used ones are usually used, but these are better. 18p. Sell, 2p.
Sweets (large packet). Anyone up for a midnight snack? 20p. Sell, 2p.
Swimming Kit, which you might be using a lot. 30p. Sell, 3p.
More snacks. Mmmmm. 35p. Sell, 4p.
Pack of Manuscript paper. Why would you need this, tell me? 40p. Sell, 5p.
Set of textbooks, which you might need for lessons. 50p. Sell, 6p.
Box of tricks. Do not let the teachers near that! 60p. Sell, 7p.
Lacrosse Kit. Useful for PE lessons. 70p. Sell, 8p.
Handbag. Small, simple, handy. 90p. Sell,10p.
Saddles. For riding horses, clearly. £2.50 Sell, 30p.
Mirror. Cool reflection! £3.20 Sell, 40p.
Silk gloves. Very nice and pretty. £4.20 Sell, 55p.
Necklace. Ooh, that looks lovely on you. £5.10 Sell, 70p.
Your very own horse from the stables. £8 Sell, £1.20
If multiple people to share resources to pay for a smelly horse, then okay, go ahead! However, there is only one horse to share, and someone probably should pay for the saddles as well, so arguments may occur.
It is up to you whether you want to post your score or EP, but I am planning to make a scoreboard. This is just a friendly competition, so do not worry. It would be great if you posted the following:
Character Name
Name of the Crawl Completed
Current EP
The deadlines are always the same: at the end of the five days, or your ‘term’ at school. Feel free to complete each crawl over the course of one day, or several! If you update, or post your score late, it will be halved and still put on the leader-board. Well, that is it! Happy writing, learning, and boarding at your new school!
~
Crawl 1: New Term (Third Form)
Welcome to Malory Towers, fellow boarder! These crawls start with you in the Third Form, so things are a bit tough.
Main Term
Introduce yourself to the new girls. Post your character below.
Try to make some friends and chat with the people in your form. Write 100 words. Defeat a Xin – 100 words, 20 minutes
It is time to go upstairs and unpack your trunk, so write another 100 words as you take in your new dormitory. Defeat another Xin!
You hear some whispering and smile to yourself as you think of all the fun you will have playing tricks on the teachers. You write to the next page in excitement.
Time to meet your new mistress, Miss Peters. She tells you that Felicity Rivers will be head of form for this year! Sprint to 200 words in joy! Defeat a Reenu
Freddie plays a very clever trick and June is inclined to beat her! Write as much as you can in 5 minutes. Defeat a Vi
You go with your friends for some fresh country air and meet Mrs Dale, and after rescuing her cat, she invites you to tea. Write 200 words as you listen to her explain that she is in fact Amy’s grandmother! Defeat another Reenu!
Freddie then decides to pretend to be Amy and visit Mrs Dale from now and then. If you are not Freddie, write for 3 minutes with your eyes closed as you try to figure out what is happening. Defeat a Vanstra with your eyes closed, if you are still at Luciola forest, defeat a Vi (sorry!)
Time for sports! If you have bought any kit (tennis or swimming), simply take the amount of money you paid for the kit and write that many words. Otherwise, write to the nearest 100 words as you jump around happily.
June eventually lets Freddie take Amy with her to Mrs Dale, and she recognises Amy immediately! It turns out Mrs Dale received a photo of Amy at Malory Towers quite a while ago. You do a marathon of 500 words as your mind reels with all the information. What a surprise! Defeat a Pester. Tip: equip yourself with items before taking on this monster
Uh-oh! A few things start going missing and everyone thinks it is Veronica, and she thinks it is Amy! Write to 250 words as fast you can so that you can get it over! Phew! Now you can do some spying. Defeat a cute Wignow!
Oh my! It turns out to be the sickly Bonnie who did the stealing, to get her own back on Felicity for not wanting to be friends with her. Do a 10-minute word war to sort out your jumbled thoughts. (or simply write as much as you can in 10 minutes.) Defeat two Vi’s
At the same time, Veronica realises she should be kinder to her parents and becomes a better person. (And all this because of Felicity, the head girl!) Why not write to the next 200 words to celebrate!
It is the end of the term! (so quick!) Goodbye and look out for stuff on the threads for the next week or so. And do not forget to write for 15 minutes before you go! Defeat a Viyu
Reward: 3EP, 10p.
Extra tasks
Tidy the staff room, writing 400 words in 80 minutes. Defeat an Aracni Reward: 5p.
Do some sports training, writing 200 words. Defeat an Awa Reward: 1EP.
Play a trick on one of your classmates and write to the next chapter. Reward: 1EP.
Reward for doing all 3 tasks: Sweets! (small packet). Add this to your inventory.
Deadline for this Crawl: Thursday 5th November 2020 is the last day you can post your EP for your full score to be added to the scoreboard

Icon behavior right there! I would be so proud lol
oh I totally get that! It's crazy how I lowkey have to do the same with mine! Ideally I would drink this tea(idk the translation bc it's in Spanish lol) and typically that helps and has benefits or whatever and it gets rid of my cramps easily! But without the tea I NEED MEDS QUICKLY! It's so stressful for no reason!
I can only imagine how busy it may be especially if you're involved with seniors! Very hectic for everyone IM sure! It is okay! Like you're a busy girl and your books should feel like treats instead of chores! I know you love your lists but this is something that its okay to a bit slow at finishing!
Im personally have never truly been a fan of jeans but like I said skinny jeans have been always been the preferred of mine! But I do love a good jegging! Anything stretchy tbh is a win in my book because i am a big hip and thigh girly so stretch is something i appreciate lol And I feel that if you like and feel comfortable in what you wear that's all that matters! if it works for you, it works! plus not everything trendy is like " good" lol
My campus is HUGE 😭I am fighting a battle trying not to get ran over by people and cars/buses lol I could make a whole paper on how horrible it is lol But how cute you live in your college area! Love that for you!
Im so glad I wasn't like crazy about the Made to Be projection hahah Oh bestie I have lived near the beach my whole life too yet idk how to swim... I KNOW ITS CRAZY AHAH like i know the very basics like floating but I would lowkey drown if im in to deep in the water lol But tennis how fun!(side note im very excited for the movie challengers if you heard about it and i fear it will end me in a good way) ALSO ICE SKATING IS SO COOL! But yeah the ankle part is no fun lol
WE ARE THE SAME I SWEAR! I NEVER notice when someone likes me😭I always think "oh they are just being nice" or " they dont see me that way" ITS CRAZY! My friends always call me out about my avoidant nature with that lol Sam my love I KNOW there was someone who thought you were hot like its not impossible lol But I get trying to prove yourself in a space where it clearly is not welcoming but I don't blame you but Im sure you were destined to be a hot STEM girly and you have always earned your place!
THE POLL RESULTS!! Omg truly so excited for all of them! AND im very excited for Ding Round 2! I just know it will be great! AND im glad your break is starting off not too bad! Love you lots!-💜
I wish I was more of a tea drinker! I try really hard--especially in the winter months and it's just not for me. I do like iced tea but I feel like that is totally different. I'm big on coffee. If you've ever seen Gilmore Girls, she is me. I love coffee 🤭 That's really cool you have tea to heal your cramps though! I wish I had a remedy like that!
I wasn't supposed to be involved with the Seniors stuff but here we are, Miss Can't Say No. It's alright. It will fly by before I know it.
I know so many people who can't swim! I don't swim well. The lessons were to ensure essentially what you said, so I don't drown and can float. But I understand the mechanics of some of the fancier swim strokes, but I prefer to doggy paddle hahaha
My college area had a really cute coffee and bagel shop and my favorite food is carbs so I didn't have much of a choice in the matter 😂 We also had a bus though. Depending on where you walked it could take up to 15 minutes to walk the length of campus. We all made jokes about jumping in front of the bus for free tuition. HOWEVER, I think it was easier to walk than take the bus. It was so unpredictable and it felt like the same amount of time if not longer rather than just walking.
I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up about Ding tbh. I have a new layout for it so I guess that's cool, hopefully it will be cute. I enjoyed writing it, even though it took ten thousand years. I think Part 2 is often THE HARDEST part of almost all the stories I write. Something about it's still starting, but it's leading to more? Idk lol. I'm glad to be over that hump.
Hope you have a good Monday! 💕
xoxo
