Hello my friends, I am Muhammad from Gaza. I am addressing you from the hotbed of hell in which the occupation executed everything. It destroyed the dream and left us with nothing. Life is one thing. Before the genocide, I was a bodybuilder and enjoyed good fitness and strong health, but because of the heinous war in which we are living, I lost everything. I have nothing left to the point that I am I lost my health and lost weight because we do not find food easily. Can you imagine spending a day or two without food at all? Please save me and my family from starvation. Donate to me as much as you can. Save me from death. Pray for me and share my story. See the difference before the war and now.

ok... free agency leaf thoughts so far...
LOVE stolarz as a cheap tandem with woll. he had stellar numbers, and the only real concern is that he and woll don't have a ton of games under their belts as a duo but... goaltending is such a fickle position if you don't have a superstar that i feel like this is as good as we could have asked tbh. and murray as a cheapy third option is brilliant and has worked for us just fine before so. problem solved for now.
CHRIS TANEV MAPLE LEAF.... I CAN'T CARE ABOUT THE COST OR TERM WHEN WE'RE IN WIN NOW TBH... the maple leafs are not scared of ltiring their mistakes away, so i don't really fear for the end of his deal despite vague threats, lol. he's an EXCELLENT defenseman and giving us the best look for a blue line in YEARSSS (rip muzz and prime leaf brodie)... i'm so excited to have someone competent after last year. oel... not a fan of the number or the term, but maybe he'll keep being good? maybe he'll jive with berube's style? after some of the overpayments for edmundson and lyubushkin, i have a hard time thinking that's gonna break the bank for us. hakanpaa is a cheap bottom pair with decent pking ability, so i'm honestly not mad at it. liljegren re-signing is good news to me, and i hope he does great things this year.
domi is uhhh whatever. doesn't fit this team imo, and i doubt he ends up being worth what he costs for a full 4 years, but at least he doesn't have a full nmc in that case, lol. maybe he'll inject some offense in bottom 6, but it's hard to think he's a better forward option than some of the guys who were out there today. again, we'll have to see how people play under berube. we need another center or a scoring winger or something from a forward depending on what we do w trades. but it sounds like we might not get rid of nick robertson despite his unhappiness so? i'm curious if they'll re-sign dewey bc brad says he still has some forward depth cooking here, but you have to wonder with what money. pretty sure we have under a million left in cap space rn so trade for SOMEONE incoming?
all in all, not terrible, but i still think we could've improved at forward more than just.. re-signing domi and sitting here, lol. super happy with tanev, meh on oel, and happy with goaltending mostly.
#anyway. just breaking down my own thoughts so i can get off the internet a bit#im fried from refreshing too much tbh#toronto maple leafs#free agency

ohhhh this hits hard. rly feel for this guy he gave ALL of himself put his own body on the line over and over for his teammates who never stood up for him in return and only got pummeled on by the refs, league, media, hockeybros, hockeymen commentators, other coaches, just everyone. Did not give him a break at any turn.
And he got to the show in the hardest way possible with his family unable to pay for the elite leagues he should've been in w his skill level so he kept chipping away at it in the lower leagues and along came the soo and dubas drafting him into the OHL. i just... y'all this guy hits my feels and I'm so happy he gets a sharp mind like brind'amour to guide him onto his next level of professionalism. He deserves this opportunity so much
And canes fans, know that this guy never takes his on-ice fights off the ice. Every time a reporter tries to provoke him he says "oh that was nothing. That was on ice, i don't bring it off ice" he knows what he's doing, he plays on the edge of rage like so many elite players (natemac im looking at u) and i hope b'a sees the unbelievable potential in him and molds him bc this kid is starved for guidance. keefe did what he could but after so many years in both soo & toronto under his tutelage it was rightfully time for bunts to get cut loose and learn from other experienced hockey minds
set adrift little leafie! float into the hurricane

How MLB Free Agency Works
Major League Baseball (MLB) free agency is a period during the offseason when players who are not under contract with a team can negotiate and sign with any team. This system, which began after the landmark Messersmith/McNally Arbitration of 1975, allows players more freedom and bargaining power in their careers. Here's a detailed look at how MLB free agency works.
The Path to Free Agency
To become a free agent, a player must first accrue six years of major league service time while on a team's 40-man roster. Service time is accumulated over seasons, and a player earns a full year of service time by spending at least 172 days on the 25-man roster or the injured list during the regular season.
Types of Free Agents
There are several types of free agents in MLB: Unrestricted Free Agents: These are players with six or more years of service time who are not under contract. They have the freedom to sign with any team. Restricted Free Agents: Players who have three to six years of service time. They can negotiate with other teams, but their current team has the right to offer them a qualifying offer, which is a one-year contract usually worth the average of the top 125 player salaries. International Free Agents: Players from international leagues, like Japan's NPB, who are posted by their teams and made available to MLB teams.
The Qualifying Offer System
A key component of free agency is the qualifying offer system. Teams can extend a qualifying offer to their eligible free agents, which is a one-year contract with a salary set at the average of the top 125 player salaries from the previous season. If a player rejects this offer and signs with another team, their former team is eligible for draft pick compensation.
The Role of Arbitration
Arbitration is another aspect of the free agency process. Players with three to six years of service time, and some with two years, are eligible for salary arbitration if they cannot agree on a contract with their team. This process involves a neutral third party who hears both sides and decides on the player's salary.
The Rule 5 Draft
The Rule 5 draft occurs each December and allows teams to select certain non-40-man roster players from other teams, provided they keep them on their 25-man roster for the entire following season. This draft impacts free agency by potentially providing players with an opportunity to be on a major league roster who otherwise might not have that chance.
Free Agency and Player Movement
Free agency has significantly impacted player movement and team dynamics in MLB. It has given players the ability to move more freely and has led to the creation of super-teams, as well as the dismantling of others. Teams must strategically decide whether to invest in free agents or focus on developing talent within their farm systems.
Conclusion
MLB free agency is a complex system that balances player rights with team interests. It has evolved over the years and continues to shape the landscape of the league. Understanding the intricacies of free agency is crucial for fans who want to follow the offseason moves and the business side of baseball.

"With each big trade and signing came an outpouring of emotions from fans...What came next might be even more frustrating — the predictable pushback from primarily male accounts explaining to fans why it makes no sense that they are upset."
