Which fic got a better reaction than you expected?

The Scoundrel’s Reward : Poe Dameron x f!Reader It was just a funny little thing I wrote based on a line I wrote in a different fic that I pulled out and expanded on. I still think it’s really cute but I’m surprised other people liked it so much.

Which fic is your funniest?

Flexibility (noun) : Poe Dameron x f!Reader Hands down. I still laugh when I reread it. Trying to have sex in a cramped space will never not be funny to me and I really tried to dive in on two people trying to be sexy but also not pull a muscle.

Which fic is your darkest/angstiest?

Ooooh, huh. I don’t really write dark/angsty. I make liberal use of #I only do happy endings

Probably a tie between  Time’s Fool: Frederick Chilton x OFC of color The themes in this are all heartbreak and betrayal and two people who broke each other trying to come back together. & Alabanza: Poe Dameron x f!Reader  Things get pretty bad for the couple for a while. Like... really bad.

Which fic was the easiest to write?

Doppelgänger : Nathan Bateman x f!Reader The whole 13k words just fell out of me in like a weekend. I still think it’s pretty hot and I love it when it randomly shows up on a someone’s fic recs and they’re like “I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY THIS TURNED ME ON.”  You know. We both know. It’s okay.

Which fic is your absolute favorite?

This changes often. Flexibility (noun) is my favorite one-shot. It just has everything I feel makes me a good writer in one place.

Right now I’m really digging Baubles of Stolen Kisses : Richard Alonso Muñoz x f!reader. I set out to do a thing and I did exactly that thing and it worked.

Overall, probably A Good Man Feelin’ Bad : Rafael Barba x OFC of color. I never finished it (I wrapped it up with an epilogue explaining what was going to happen) but it’s the closest I’ve come to a real magnum opus (except maybe Alabanza [below])

Which fic is your least favorite?

Give me my sin again : Poe Dameron x f!reader Not because it isn’t good, but because I don’t think I really did what I wanted to in terms of turning the sex pollen trope on its head. I think I might rewrite it (or that idea) on something else. 

Which fic have you reread the most?

War makes thieves, and peace hangs them : Mostly Santiago Garcia x f!Reader When I decide to just write smut I really go for it. This fic never got a lot of traction anywhere but I’m neurodiverse enough that when I reread my work it’s like it’s for the first time. I have no recollection of writing it usually so re-reading this one is just like fun smut written just for me. And the whole thing is hot.

Which fic was the hardest?

In Our Own Image… : Poe Dameron x OFC This one kicked my ass as time went on. I had done a couple of Poe x Reader fics that had just flowed from me and then I had the idea for this OFC who I loved and I still love her and her little droid K-0. But the story just... never came together for me. I knew what the conflict was and I knew how the different conflicts interacted. And I knew they could be happy together - but once the conflict happened I couldn’t figure out how they got past it. Not really. And the fic itself never got that much traction with readers - so to struggle with it AND feel like no one was reading it... it was hard to keep on it. I still think my ending is a bit of a cop out - but that’s grading on the scale of how I feel about my work and what I can do. I’m sure it’s fine.

Honestly, I never planned To sell your love for peace : Javier Peña x f!reader past Chpt 4 and it’s been a struggle as well.

Which fic has your favorite line/paragraph?

There’s so many. I’m such a slut for my own writing. Overall, I think War makes thieves, and peace hangs them has the most of my favorites.

From Pt5:

“Do not,” he warns but she just laughs, low and dark. “I’ll turn your channel off,” the note of caution in his voice should be enough to scare anybody.

“No you won’t. You won’t risk something happening to me while you’ve got me muted.” Fuck she was right. Had called his bluff. “Which means that you, sexy man, are at my mercy.”

From Pt9:

“So, how does a guy find a… you know… what are they called? A dominatrix.”

She laughs so hard she has to stop, bending over and clutching her middle. “Frankie oh my god. Do not go looking for a dom back stateside. Please promise me that won’t be the first thing you do.”

From Pt12:

“You’re a sneaky bitch,” he scolds.

“Yup.” She agrees with him without even an ounce of shame. No hesitation. “But a rich one.”

He shakes his head, “I can’t believe you took the diamonds.”

“I like pretty shiny things,” she defends herself. “Don’t hate.”

From Pt13: Frankie’s Epilogue

Santi shrugged. “Kitten’s idea. She said her friend just moved to town. Doesn’t know anybody.”

“Kitten?” Frankie gave Santi a disgusted look. “You really call her kitten? That… force of nature?”

He couldn’t have described the expression that crossed Santi’s face, but the far away look in his eyes was familiar as the man rumbled, “You’ve obviously never heard her purr.”

Sorry, I could really go on and on here.

The fic you’re most proud of?

Alabanza: Poe Dameron x f!Reader  This fic, y’all. Not only is it a great Poe x Reader fic - but I worked really hard to make it canon compliant. It covers the timespan of all three sequels and even things like Poe flirting with Zorii are worked in in a way that it makes sense in a Poe x Someone Else universe. It’s also just good, I think. And emotionally satisfying. It starts with penpals and moves into a relationship and then secrets and then more secrets but these two earn their Happily Ever After and I was so happy to write the epilogue where they get one.
