I wonder why you and your friends are so sure that Fred had an affair but puts so much faith on William.
Weren't they just the same? Fred was photographed in Spain (Nov 2023) while William was photographed and video taped in Verber (ski trip 2017)
Just because one refuted the story right away and the other one made sure that press won't report it, does not mean they are not the same.
I'd love to know what prompted this since I haven't brought up Fred and the affair in ages 2. Acting like Fred being photographed out for a solo dinner with a woman and then spending the night with her is the same as William.....*checks notes* dancing in a club is delusional 3. The BRF doesn't make sure stories don't get reported. If they did, 99% of what's out there wouldn't be out there 4. Go back to whatever Sussex conspiracy forum you came out of.

The Stray Pursuit release emotive new 'I Don't Know' single
Swansea 4 Piece The Stray Pursuit have recently released a brand new single entitled ‘I Don’t Know’. The track was released independently on the 1st November ahead of their debut EP, and its catchy, emotive and anthemic with a massive chorus. Thumbs up!
The Stray Pursuit heralds a new chapter in their career with their awesome and anthemic new single ‘I Don’t Know.’ As the smoke clears, this exciting emerging Swansea four-piece is riding a wave of powerful drums, tenacious riffing with gritty determined vocals. A momentary lull with brooding sonics and melodic references to home: explodes into their most anthemic and hard-hitting chorus yet. It’s a rock anthem brimming with perseverance over tragedy, and succeeding against the odds.
The band says: "I Don't Know" is an introspective alternative rock song that captures the feeling of longing and uncertainty. The lyrics reflect on past experiences and challenges ahead in life. This song resonates with anyone navigating life's complexities while seeking connection and understanding.”
The band recorded the track at Longwave Studios in Cardiff, collaborating with esteemed producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me the Horizon, Holding Absence, Nova Twins) on songs from their debut EP. This EP promises to be a testament to their growth and artistic evolution. Hailing from Swansea, The Stray Pursuit emerges as a dynamic force in the realm of Alternative Rock.
Distinctive for their guitar-driven riffs and captivating vocals, each track embodies their eclectic musical tastes. Inspired by bands like Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Hunna, and with echoes of the Welsh rock lineage of The Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, and Funeral for a Friend, in the upcoming months they will release more exciting tracks.
The four-piece consists of lead singer Aaron Morgan, lead guitarist Dylan Evans, bassist Fred Wilkinson, and drummer Ben Lewis. They have supported Andrew Cushin, The K's, and Vida, and played alongside The Lottery Winners, Pastel, and Trampoline just to name a few. TSP were featured on This Feelings ‘Big in 2020’. In June 2023, they sold out a headline show at The Bunkhouse for their single release ‘Let It Be Known’. They then went on to sell out two out of five dates of their ‘Domino Effect’ debut EP tour in 2024. One in Cwrw, Carmarthen and the other in The Moon, Cardiff.
The band's origin story traces back to an unexpected bus ride that led Aaron and Fred to forge an unexpected bond. Despite being rivals in separate bands, their chemistry became undeniable during a jam session. The additions of exceptional talents lead guitarist Dylan and drummer Nicky solidified the lineup. Tragedy struck when founding drummer Nicky Bevan passed away in December 2022. They say “The devastating loss catalysed a renewed purpose for the band: to honour Nicky's legacy and prove our potential for greatness. He is missed dearly, and will be forever cherished by so many people.”
The pandemic-induced hiatus and Fred finishing university provided growth for the band. Emerging from this break in June 2022, and Ben joining the band later in April 2023, The Stray Pursuit reentered the practice room, channelling their energy into crafting new tracks and elevating their stage presence and live performance.
'Swansea quartet shine bright on a heartbreaking anthem made for the masses' 'Gigslutz'

Data collected from the test series will be used to certify production of new RS-25 engines by lead contractor Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies company, to help power the SLS rocket on future Artemis missions to the Moon and beyond, beginning with Artemis V. Teams are evaluating the performance of several new engine components, including a nozzle, hydraulic actuators, flex ducts, and turbopumps. The current series is the second and final series to certify production of the upgraded engines. NASA completed an initial 12-test certification series with the upgraded components in June 2023. During the Jan. 17 test, operators followed a “test like you fly” approach, firing the engine for the same amount of time – almost eight-and-a-half minutes (500 seconds) – needed to launch SLS and at power levels ranging between 80% to 113%. The Jan. 17 test comes three months after the current series began in October. During three tests last fall, operators fired the engine for durations from 500 to 650 seconds. The longest planned test of the series occurred on Nov. 29 when crews gimbaled, or steered, the engine during an almost 11-minute (650 seconds) hot fire. The gimbaling technique is used to control and stabilize SLS as it reaches orbit. Each SLS flight is powered by four RS-25 engines, firing simultaneously during launch and ascent to generate over 2 million pounds of thrust. The first four Artemis missions with SLS are using modified space shuttle main engines that can power up to 109% of their rated level. The newly produced RS-25 engines will power up to the 111% level to provide additional thrust. Testing to the 113% power level provides an added margin of operational safety. With the completion of the test campaign in 2024, all systems are expected to be “go” for production of 24 new RS-25 engines for missions beginning with Artemis V. Through Artemis, NASA will establish a long-term presence at the Moon for scientific exploration with commercial and international partners, learn how to live and work away from home, and prepare for future human exploration of Mars.Photo cutline (use the same cutline for all four images): NASA completed a full-duration, 500-second hot fire of an RS-25 certification engine Jan. 17, continuing a critical test series to support future SLS (Space Launch System) missions to the Moon and beyond as NASA explores the secrets of the universe for the benefit of all. Carlo Ratti named curator of 2025 Venice Biennale Architecure Exhibition
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/carlo-ratti-named-curator-of-2025-venice-biennale-architecure-exhibition/
Carlo Ratti named curator of 2025 Venice Biennale Architecure Exhibition
MIT scholar Carlo Ratti has been named curator of the Venice Biennale’s 19th International Architecture Exhibition, to be held in 2025.
The large-scale exhibition is the world’s best-known showcase for architectural work. It began in 1980 and has normally been held every two years since then.
Ratti is an expert in urban design and planning, who has conducted many innovative studies of city dynamics using mobile sensors and other technologies, revealing insights that can be applied to the built environment on many scales. At the same time, Ratti is an active designer whose work has been displayed previously at the Venice Biennale, along with New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, the Design Museum in Barcelona, and the Museum of Science in London, among other venues.
Currently, Ratti is professor of the practice of urban technologies and planning within MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning.
“We architects like to think we are smart, but real intelligence is everywhere,” Ratti said in a statement released by the Biennale. “The disembodied ingenuity of evolution, the growing power of computers, and the collective wisdom of the crowd. To face a burning world, architecture must harness all the intelligence around us. I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to curate the Biennale Architettura 2025.”
AT MIT, Ratti also serves as director of the Senseable City Lab, which he founded. In addition to his studies and design projects, Ratti has authored multiple books, including “The Atlas of the Senseable City” (2023), co-authored with Antoine Picon of Harvard University, and “The City of Tomorrow: Sensors, Networks, Hackers, and the Future of Urban Life” (2016), co-authored with Matthew Claudel.
Ratti is a founding partner of the architecture and innovation office CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati, which has office in Turin, New York City, and London. He graduated from the Politecnico di Torino, and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris. He conducted his MPhil and PhD work at the University of Cambridge, and completed his PhD thesis as a Fulbright Scholar at MIT.
Ratti is the second person from MIT selected as curator of the architecture Biennale in recent years. Hashim Sarkis, dean of MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning, served as curator for the Biennale in 2021 — which was originally scheduled to run in 2020, but got delayed for one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
MIT artists have also been well represented at the Venice Biennale’s International Art Exhibition, which also runs every two years. The MIT List Visual Arts Center has presented three exhibitions at the Biennale, featuring Joan Jonas, Fred Wilson, and Ann Hamilton.
The 19th International Architecture Exhibition will run from May 24 through Nov. 23, 2025.

Experience Analysis: Welly Band-Aids
November 3, 2023
By Erin Pilolla
As a marketing professional, it is necessary to analyze my experiences with a brand in order to understand what another consumer might face during their own purchase decision making process. For an example to analyze this week, I chose to think more about my own recent purchase of Welly Bandages, a product which I was very excited to buy after I saw them for the first time during a grocery trip inside Fred Meyer.
Welly Bandages (from their website store front, accessed Nov. 3, 2023)
My expectations for the bandages were based around gaining positive feelings from purchasing a product I deemed as “cute.” One source of those expectations is my previous experiences in which I have felt more positive emotions from having something personalized and stylish over a plain version of the same item. Media and advertising have also led me to believe that the products I choose to buy or accessories I wear are representative of my personal “brand” and perhaps personality traits. For example, a lot of people on TikTok have popularized taking specific style choices to the max and label certain clothing and lifestyle choices as “cottage core” or “clean girl” aesthetics. Part of me may believe that buying these bandages will lead people to think I am cute or unique, based on that purchase.
I bought this specific product in Walmart after seeing it for the first time in Fred Meyer. I needed regular bandages at home and noticed these very cute ones. I was absorbed by them but wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal. I bought the cheaper store brand of bandages and then did market research to see what other prices were offered which led me to picking them up at Walmart during my next grocery trip. The overall branding of Walmart is straightforward and minimalistic. Most displays use gray, blue, or white and black text. I noticed that most of the products and bandages offered were almost exactly the same as other stores I shop in such as Fred Meyer or Target, but slightly less expensive. Walmart had less variety from Welly than Fred Meyer did but luckily had the one I was looking for.
The packaging of Welly is distinct from any of their competitors. All other bandage brands used boxes, aside from first aid kit style multipacks. Welly has bright, eye catching designs whereas other brands have more simple and medicalized packaging, many of them using first aid symbols like a red cross. Welly has multiple designs but less variety in product count, aside from variety packs they have only a 24 or 48 pack which amount to almost 17 cents per band-aid for the 48 pack. At Walmart, a 30 pack of bandages the same size from the Band-Aid brand costs 3.77 before tax, making them about 13 cents per bandage.
Using the product for me created mixed feelings. On one hand, having them on display made me happy. I felt excited to use them when my boyfriend or friend had a small scrape because they thought they were cute, and they were received positively. When I had an injury of my own though it felt wasteful to use them, and I used regular ones in order to save more of the “premium” bandages. This leads me to the conclusion there is some performative aspect for me of having non-typical bandages, possibly in connection to the phenomenon I mentioned earlier where I feel brands can represent my personality at times. It has created stress for me because I have to determine when it is a “good” time to use the product because I want to preserve it due to the high cost compared to non-design bandages, which feels somewhat removed from the product’s original purpose which is to prevent infection of a wound.
From my experience with purchasing Welly bandages, I have a strong suspicion that other consumers, like me, may have a desire for more unique items in the everyday use category. Novelty drives a lot of sales, for example during the holiday season people will buy products they only plan to use for the next 30 days just because it seems cute and appropriate for the season. Everyday products such as paper towels, brooms and mops, or toothbrushes tend to have very generic designs. A company which could provide a distinctly different product even just in terms of design could do well in these markets, as a lot of people are drawn to items which are unique or representative of their style preferences.
If it were possible to bring down the price point of Welly Bandages, I would suggest doing so. Their price was quite a bit higher than other brands. Even if the price point was reduced by a dollar or two, putting it at 5.99 for 48 bandages, I think people in this area would find that more realistic for their budgets. Welly’s packaging could be reduced in size significantly, which could save some money. The use of plastic in the packaging as opposed to more standard cardboard is distinctive but possibly unnecessary. I believe bringing their fun and eye-catching designs to cardboard would be easy and still stand out just as much, as well as being better for the environment. It could make the product feel more inviting for the everyday consumer, and increase repeat purchases due to reduced fear of using them up too quickly.
Responding to consumer feelings, especially nuanced ones, is essential for businesses to create a name for themselves and keep sales up. User experience analysis and design, sometimes called UX, is an up-and-coming field now more than ever as consumers demand more interaction and transparency from brands. Chris Kocek, author of The Practical Pocket Guide to Account Planning, talks in his book about how hard the field can be to define but how it requires a constant knowledge of cultural trends and empathy for the consumers. Similarly, the interaction design foundation, who provide online training for UX design, made a blog post explaining the concept of Design Thinking.
Design thinking requires empathizing with the consumer experience, defining problems, coming up with and designing solutions, and testing those solutions. People are less likely to use products or services which they have a hard time using or perceive as insignificant, so using design thinking can help developers discover problems with the usability of a product or why their perception of the product/service is unfavorable. The same article references a Ted talk about speaker Tim Brown’s experience with design thinking and its business value.
The 2009 conference speech goes over a lot of Brown’s ideas towards design, but most notably he talks about the importance of shifting design culture from one of consumption to one of participation. By including designers and consumers alike in certain company choices, it can make it easier for a product to evolve to be more usable for everyone. He also states that we as a society are in a period of change, and that with changing technology many of the old ways of doing things are becoming more and more obsolete. This is an opportunity for designers to focus on new ways to solve problems that utilize current technology and available tools to involve consumers in a way they never have been before.
Many brands of today, including the Welly brand, could benefit from making their customer base feel included and appreciated by using modern technologies. It also helps of course to narrow down a product or service’s target market as much as possible because it can make it easier to understand their problems, experiences, values, and opportunities in reaching them more effectively.

'…Weekly Commentary: Barbenheimer has burst into the Oscar race with Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” and Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” finally landing in theaters with critical acclaim and a possible colossal box office haul.
Of all the movies screened up to this point this year, Nolan’s movie is one of two films that could have all the key ingredients to win the Academy Awards’ most coveted prize. It’ll be a colossal guild player (watch out for the SAG ensemble), and the regional critics could make it a darling during the precursor season. The ongoing strikes could have a ripple effect on films that are dropping in the later months since their teams won’t be able to promote them in the same way as earlier titles…
The submission deadline for general categories is Nov. 18, 2023. Preliminary shortlist voting will begin on Dec. 18, with the results announced on Dec. 21. The voting period will run from Jan. 11-16, 2024, with the official nominations announcement on Jan. 23.
