Nier can't help but blush a little as the bouquet is held out to her. It's been a while since she's been given such a gift, because while the Captain has occasionally given things to her, they're generally more practical. Perhaps if Nier were more forward, they'd show a more romantic side, but- Well, there's no point in dwelling on such things right now.

"Oh, um... Th-thank you Cherie," she says, her ears flicking in pleasant surprise. "It's very nice of you, but... why?"

They smile in return, a hand held over their heart. "Do you need a reason to be kind? I just thought you might like them, Nier."

"I see... Well, I do... So thank you."

Taking a deep breath, the floral aroma fills Nier's senses, and she gives a small smile. "They're very beautiful... I've grown some flowers myself, but nothing quite like these. I'm still rather new to it, so I wanted to just start small..."

"Flowers are lovely, I think there's not many things that bring happiness to people quite like they do. They brighten their space, they smell nice, they make a wonderful hobby..." says Cherie, rocking on their heels as their eyes train on Nier's reactions. The girl finds herself blushing under their scrutiny, but it doesn't feel malicious. Perhaps they're simply curious?

"I agree. I have a... a crewmate who uses them to make perfumes, but I don't know much about that myself..." says Nier, mind drifting to thoughts of home. She thinks of her fellow evoker Fraux, kept at arm's length despite their common ground aboard the Grandcypher.

"Do you know about the language of flowers?"

"I've heard of it... That's the idea that different flowers have different meanings when given, right?"

Cherie nods, stepping closer. "That's right. It adds an extra layer to giving a bouquet, because then you can make your intentions known. Iris for hope and wisdom, ivy leaves for friendship, peony for wishes for a happy life..."

"And these yellow ones?"

"Honestly, I just thought they looked nice. Something to tie it all together."

It does look nice, thinks Nier. She inhales the scent again, still smiling. "Well, it's very kind of you. Thank you, Cherie."

But her thoughts drift again, back to the Captain. Even if they might not think of such a gift, there's no reason Nier can't do it instead, is there? She leans in a little, voice dropping as if someone else might be listening in. "Um, Cherie... If you know about this kind of thing, do you think you could teach me? There's... Um, there's someone I'd like to... tell some things to, but..."

Cherie's eyes seem to brighten, and they nod. "But it can be hard with words, right? Of course I'd be happy to help."

Yet another flush creeps up Nier's cheeks, and she looks down to the flowers to hide the crimson. The warmth of her face mixes with the flower petals, red, purple, and yellow.

Anre also has a Christmas skin, but I agree, he and Feower are probably out for now on account of them getting EX poses already, even if Feower would be a great pick.

They could do Seox, because I still think they'd frontload the favorites.

And well, there's New Year's after that and I think Tweyen and Eahta are the only Eternals with New Year's skins, so everything is open again. Unless they skip that too, who knows.

Rest in pieces if we do get Christmas Lobelia though.

I wonder if we'll be getting a seasonal Eternal/ Evoker for Christmas at least

truuuue. Halloween Six could have been so good... or Halloween Feower....

For Christmas i think we're safe from Seofon since he already has a xmas skin, likewise for Tien, and no alt for Tweyen for a while since she just got one.

If Eternals, i feel like Feower would be the best, so he can have a matchy with his sister. but i could imagine Nyon or Threo getting an alt there too. Not so much for the old men, they'll probably be low on the list. Taking into account Anre and Feower would be getting alt art soonish, so it may play against them.

if Evoker.... i just got reminded of Lobelia roleplaying as Black Santa a couple of years ago and how much of a blast he had with that, so i think we're not safe.

Aside from that, aside from Borger who already has a New Year Skin so he probably won't get anything, likewise for Haaselia's christmas skin. and Nier who had an unit recently, i think everyone can have a shot at it. In term popularity, Fraux, Caim or Marie Teresa probably are game. Fraux would look gorgeous in anything they do with her.

Honestly i feel like the old men would be the easiest for xmas period, re: Anre, Eahta, Estarriola, Alanaan.... but considering how hard Granblue priviligize fanservice i don't see them priviligizing them for now when there are more popular Eternals/Evokers.

So yeah.

Feower would be cute and i'm putting wards to forbid Lobelia from coming too close. if Lobelia gets an alt you know it means i'm cursed.
