my review of kayali yum boujee marshmallow collage inspired by @coconutfudged (on twitter) ♡

kayali yum boujee marshmallow is an airy, sweet, playful fragrance. this is for the dreamers and for the people who can’t function in the day without having a sweet treat. it’s not intense at all but it’s still very promiment the sillage is definitely there and i could picture this being perfect for layering and meshing really well with other fragrances. this reminds me of the smell of the nesquik strawberry milk powder i used to mix into my milk as a kid all the time because i always preferred strawberry than chocolate. i couldn’t put my mind on what the opening reminds me of and it reminds me of those fat pink hubba bubba rolls of bubble gum but at the same time it really does give me fluffy pink marshmallow and strawberry milk/milkshake vibes. the drydown had me looking around to see what smelled like marshmallows only to realize it was me lol. like a lot of people are saying i would not compare this to burberry her because that is more of a powdery strawberry to my nose at least, this fragrance is definitely in its own lane! i feel like lola from charlie and lola wearing this fragance, a beautiful subtle reminder of one of my favorite cartoons growing up. ♡

Annam - Tan Giudicelli

Don't be fool by the soft shapes of the bottles. It may look like it's a soft white perfume, but it actually has a lot of character. I'm not sure how old is the bottle I acquired, but the oxygenation process is rather quick.

To me, it starts with a strong, masculine musk with a rather alcoholic undertone. There's also a quite present smell of lilies that stays once it dries off. I would describe it as a masculine white floral, that gives a scent of a soapy scent that also feels bitter and woody 🧼

There's something nostalgic to it, like the perfume itself wants you to try to guess what is referencing for, and you feel like you know it, but you cant actually tell...

Of course anon!! It's soooo hard to be fluffy with them because they're a really angst filled ship when you break it down. But I will be fluffy for you. I will try. modern stuff first! - Morella makes her and Ada a cute cottage in the sims. She always asks Ada to watch them when she leaves the computer for something instead of pausing the game. - Ada will take her into a fragance store, review the scents for 40 minutes, and then leave empty handed. - Sometimes Morella will buy the one Ada liked the most when she isn't looking. - Ada loves licking the whisk when Morella's baking. - Morella LOVES putting scarves on Ada. Just the act of putting it on her is so domestic and cute she loves it <33 things that could apply in canon/or modern - They have surprisingly deep conversations at night when they're both laying down trying to fall asleep. The dark with both of them barely able to see each other in the moonlight makes Ada feel at ease. She finds it easier to be honest when nobody is looking. - Sometimes they will just speak for a little. Sometimes they'll go back and forth with little tidbits of advice or little jokes. Then it either stops on its own or until one of them falls asleep. In the morning, they usually don't address it. Morella would try, but Ada is keen on pretending it never happened. - They'll play dumb games in a journal with pencils like tic tac toe or hangman just to pass the time. - Ada likes to fiddle with Morella's necklace when they're close. Morella at first got a little tense when it was touched, but she's much more at ease the more it happens. - Ada likes to put the garden flowers in her hair. Morella braids her pigtails and asks Ada to pick out flowers to put in them. - Ada thinks Morella's accent is adorable. Sometimes she'll pronounce something a certain way and she just wants to giggle. - Morella leaves notes in Ada's room. Nothing important, just tiny little 'have a good day:)' thingies. Because she knows Ada's mind wanders to dark places, especially when she's alone- so leaving little things like that around her dorm is cute :)

Wayhem writes to Adrien about everything. How his day goes, that new movie that just came out, his clases, his hobbies, how his teacher liked how he smelled and asked the name of his colone (yes, Adrien The Fragance).

He doesn't tells him how the boys in the school laughed at him after that. How they push him into the lockers when they pass. How much they tell him he's disgusting. And to stop dressing like Adrien Agreste.

He doesn't even know you exist, he'll be disgusted a cockrach like you is dressing like him. You should just stop wasting air. 

He keeps that to himself.

Adrien answers at least two times per week, he's ecstatic when he answers. Adrien reads his mails throughly, there's no doubt about that. He comments on everything and even tries the things Wayhem recomends.

He remembers the time he told him about certain old movie and Adrien actually gave him a review. How much he liked it and what he thought about the characters. He said he recommended it to his other friends!

He considered Wayhem a friend!

That's why, but not the only reason, he hasn't told anyone he emails with Adrien Agreste. No matter how much he wants to prove all his bullies wrong. No matter how much the bruises hurt. Or how much his scores on classes have drop because they keep stealing his homework.

He'd learned, he does everything twice and keeps it separated so they can't find it.

But they noticed. And throw his schoolbag at the fountain.

Along with him

They threw something disgusting at him so he'd smell.

He started to bring his colone and some clothes to take a bath after if they did it again. But they stole it and broke it on the floor. Right in front of his eyes.

It gets too much. To the point he doesn't have anything good to say in his emails to Adrien.

He's told the blonde about his crush before. He was scared but the blonde told him he was flatered someone like Wayhem, who knew him and actually took the time to learn about the 'real' him liked him.

Wayhem doesn't know what he means by that. He loves the blonde's sense of humor. The puns and the cat memes he sends him sometimes. Those make his days seem brighter. If not only because they make him laugh but because they mean Adrien thinks of him.

So when Adrien starts showing concern at the short length of his emails. He decides he won’t stand the bullying anymore. He’s got to be strong, he can’t let them ruin his life.

It goes bad.

Texture and Performance

The texture of this cream is more of gel-cream consistency; it’s not a heavy type of cream. Overall it’s really light and it blends out easily when you smooth it over your skin. Because it’s so lightweight, it also absorbs really quickly, and there’s not really any stickiness to it! It has slight honey fragrance which I personally think smells quite nice; not really overpowering but if you don’t like any kind of fragrance then this might not be the best option for you.

I used this cream as part of my night time skincare routine, and overall I’d say it’s a pretty good cream. Like I said, it sinks into your skin really quickly so there’s not sticky feeling to it. In terms of hydration, it’s decent. My skin tends to have some dry patches and I have combo-dry skin, so on my dry areas I would say that it’s not especially hydrating. This would probably be best for normal-oily skin types! The thing I like about this cream is that it’s definitely very soothing. However, aside from that I would not say it’s any better than a lot of other creams I’ve tried. 

Final Thoughts

This cream is a good product for its price. It would definitely be a great summer product, but sadly during the winter my skin is a bit too dry for this to be hydrating enough. Overall it’s not a bad product, but probably one that I wouldn’t normally reach for.

hey! when it comes to buying korean skincare, i always have a hard time choosing and end up buying some random well-packaged and well-advertised stuff...

so here are some water/oil based cleansers (step 1 of the korean skincare routine) for acne prone or sensitive skin. 

most of the time, brands say you don’t need a makeup remover with these (if you double clean, the foam cleanser might take the residual makeup away anyway) but i tend to use a makeup remover instead for my night routine. most reviews claim they’re not good at removing makeup.

etude house - ac clean up cleansing water  this one is part of an anti-acne line by etude house, non-comedogenic and with teatree water (soothing). banila co - clean it zero purity (it’s a balm btw but it comes with a lid and spatula) i personally don’t really like it but some people claim it’s their holy grail. i don’t really recommend it for acne prone skin. neogen - dermalogy real flower cleansing water  the bottle is so beautiful... they say the calendula one is better for irritated and redness/acne prone skin.  ps: i know you can find this one on sephora but it’s way more expensive than on other websites who sell korean makeup & skincare. etude house - real art cleansing oil the mild one is made for sensitive/dry skin, but if you have acne prone skin i wouldn’t recommend it.

CLEANSERS NOT MADE FOR DRY/SENSITIVE/ACNE PRONE SKIN BUT STILL REALLY WORTH A TRY:

skin watchers - natural deep cleansing oil they brag so much about the fact that it contains no mineral oil, no alcohol..., so though it’s not made for dry and sensitive skin, this one looks like a good bet.  it’s skin - green tea calming cleansing oil contains mineral oil but green tea is known for its antibacterial values. elizavecca - milky wear natural 90% olive cleansing oil seems quite good if you’re not sensitive to olive oil. contains BHT (safe but better if you can avoid lol) mizon - no. king’s berry cleansing oil contains mineral oil !! but pretty good, worth trying.

the ones listed right below (not made for sensitive and acne prone skin) are worthier in my opinion, most of the other ones contain butylene glycol, not that good for acne prone skin. but i really liked the ac clean up cleanser from EH!

finally, please make sure you look at the ingredients. pretty sure i’ve checked them all but sometimes cleansers contain comedogenic (pore-clogging) ingredients or irritants (too much fragance, generally alcohol (names ending with -ol). you can check CosDNA if you want information on the safety of ingredients! :)

The Truth Behind Flavors and Fragances

Can you name the top 10 flavor and fragrance companies in the world? I couldn’t until a few days ago. See I keep reading comments about flavorings. So I did a little digging.  The top ten: Firmenich, SwitzerlandGivaudan, Switzerland International Flavors and Fragrances, USASymrise, GermanyTakasago International Corporation, JapanMane SA, FranceRobertet Group, FranceSensient Technologies Corporation, USAT. Hasegawa, JapanHuabao International, Hong Kong Okay, so what’s the big deal?  Anytime you see an ingredients label that has “flavorings” or “fragrances” on the list, these companies are most likely responsible for creating that signature taste or smell you’re buying. I had always wondered why different brands of orange juice tasted well, different.  Take a look for IFF on YouTube. They really sound like a good company. Right? Now these companies have the recipe to artificially recreate that profile in the laboratory.  Why do it? I have found two stated reasons: 1. Consistency. Let’s take ice cream for example. What if your favorite chocolate ice cream tasted different than usual? Would you continue to buy it? Food companies don’t want to take that chance. That’s where IFF comes in. They make sure the chocolate ice cream you love never tastes different. Thus keeping market share. 2. Cost. It’s too expensive to use natural ingredients. Artificial flavors and fragrances are far less expensive.  Does this happen in the essential oils industry? Absolutely! Remember consistency and cost. Let’s use peppermint as an example. We most likely have been programmed to believe that a peppermint candy, we see them everywhere, is what peppermint truly tastes like. It’s how we expect and want it to taste like, as this has become the accepted norm.

 That explains the shock and disbelief the first time a person tries true peppermint, or the reason a person chooses that artificial peppermint over the real thing. But artificial flavorings don’t do us any good. Remember, these secret proprietary fragrances and flavorings can cover up multiple unhealthy ingredients that do us harm in one way or another.
