Mohammad Almanasra is a husband and father fundraising to evacuate his remaining family from Gaza, currently consisting of his wife and their three young children, Abdulrahman (aged 6), Sarah (aged 4) and Lina (aged 3). Mohammad also suffers from dehabilitating asthma and other health issues that require consistent medical attention.

It takes everything in me not to commit felony levels of violence whenever I'm at work and someone, whether they be young or old, walks around the shop and hacks their lungs out without even trying to cover their mouth and then tries to touch items without even attempting to sanitise their hands (we have multiple hand sanitisers placed around the store for people to use)

I fully followed behind a kid who was 100% old enough to know better with a can of sanitiser spray and quietly sprayed everything they touched because they kept coughing into their hands and touching stuff.

Their mum had the fucking nerve to get pissy with me for that but I honestly didn't give a shit at that point-

we are on like covid variant #100037 and rsv/flu/pneumonia cases are rising and people will show up unmasked and be like “yeah i’ve been sick for days :/” like. ok. Get the fuck away from me then? why are you out here breathing on everything. the very least you could be doing is masking. NOT hacking into open air every two seconds.

As someone currently getting dragged right back into the hyperfixation that GRIPPED me when I first watched the show in 2018, the brainrot never truly leaves.

Everyone should watch the Terror because it's a masterpiece on a million different levels but you should be aware of what it will do to you. I just watched an hourlong history channel documentary about a dude who tried to go to the North Pole on a submarine in 1931 and I was riveted. I read a 400 page book about the Franklin Expedition this summer and I thumbed through pictures of the Shackleton Expedition and was absolutely amped when the Endurance was found. I'm almost certainly going to cave and buy a rare Canadian map detailing the route of the rescue efforts to find the Franklin Expedition. This is who I am now. It happened to me and it will happen to you

Me @ every teenager who scoffs/rolls their eyes/calls me a bitch when I tell them not to write their social media handles all over the drawing pads we have in my workplace-

There's something that I find equal parts hilarious and terrifying.

On one hand it is so funny watching the generation previous to mine (I was born in 84) absolutely say the most unhinged shit online, doxx themselves, and get fired, after spending my entire childhood teaching me online opsec because every stranger was a potential murderer. Social media done rotted their brains.

But on the other I'm seeing kids coming up, seeing them spew all their personals online, and using that to model their unsafe behavior and put themselves at incredible risk because the internet actually got way more dangerous than it was, ironically, when I was coming up being told I had to basically outsmart the fuckin CIA. Now the actual CIA and other bad actors (government, private, and individual) really are out there and these kids are watching fucking meemaw post a photo of the front of her house practically captioned with her fucking SSN and thinking, "yeah, sure, the adults know what's safe."

I gotta be a fuckin millennial about this and beg younger folx to listen to the VCR generation: hide yourself online. Nothing should go there you wouldn't want in the hands of the person who hates you the most.
