fortnites cosmetic age restriction ban is the dumbest update i've ever seen

if you havent seen it basically some cosmetics deemed 'violent' arent able to be used in most game modes

which is insane at a base level because fortnite is a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER rated T/12+

not only does their rating for violence related skins not make sense as its banned anything from dc & marvel to resident evil but also their own original characters as well

but theyre also keeping certain characters from same but not others, seemingly on a whim

ie: almost all res evil characters are banned except jill even though jill & chris were part of a duo pack and both were in resident evil 1 (which one of jills styles come from)

so jill is playable despite being in multiple horror games but black widow is banned despite never being a film rated higher than PG-13 while blade is also playable despite all 3 films being rated R

and as if that wasnt goofy enough - they've also age restriction banned emotes, dive trails, and harvesting tools???

mind you most people - myself unfortunately included - paid outta pocket for certain cosmetics they've had for years are now suddenly unusable and ineligible for refunds

‘Fortnite’ Servers Are Down, Here’s When Chapter 6, Season 1 Goes Live

Fortnite’s current ‘Remix’ Season has been incredibly popular, but it’s about to end. Not only is the season drawing to a close Saturday, the new Season will be the first of Chapter 6. Fortnite players will get an entirely new map, new movement mechanics, a brand new Battle Pass and much more this weekend.

Chapter 6, Season 1 is called ‘鬼 Hunters’ (Demon Hunters) and will feature an Asian/anime theme, with lots of new locations with a distinctly Japanese look, including pink cherry tree blossoms, Asian markets and creatures that look like they’ve popped out of a Studio Ghibli film. There will also be Yokai demons, Titans, new mystical powers and the arrival of King Kong and Godzilla. A giant floating turtle will be one of the cool new additions. It’s not only adorable, it moves around the map. New movement mechanics include rolling and wall-running, making this the most parkour of all Fortnite seasons.

Juice WRLD Concert and Exclusive Skins

One of the most anticipated features of this update is the Juice WRLD concert, which brings the late rapper’s music and legacy into the Fortnite universe. As part of the collaboration, several Juice WRLD skins will be added to the game, including both free and paid versions. Players can unlock the Slayer Juice WRLD skin, the 999 Knives back bling, the 999 Knives pickaxe, and exclusive loading screens such as Adventure, Remix’d, Number One Remix, Remix with the Golden Touch, and Juice’s WRLD. These items are available for free to players who log in to Fortnite between November 25 at 9:00 AM ET and November 30 at 10:00 PM ET. The Slayer Juice WRLD skin will be delivered the day after the player logs in during this promotional period.

While players can earn some of these items for free, all items in the Slayer Juice WRLD set (except for the Juice’s WRLD loading screen) will be available for purchase in the item shop at a later date.

New Kicks and Ongoing Fortnite Remix

Maintenance and Downtime

As with all major updates, Fortnite servers will be taken offline for maintenance starting at 4:00 AM ET on November 23, 2024. Players should note that matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes before the start of the maintenance.
