Super curious because I'm getting into animation memes n stuff and I know some people like to script theirs. I've been just basically coming up with mine as I go but I'm considering scripting them to make it easier on me.
Do you script your animation memes, and if so, how do you do it? I've always assumed people script memes similarly to multi-animator projects (basically, type/write out the audio, then add what the characters are doing during certain parts of the audio) but I'm not completely sure so I'm basically looking for advice I guess.
Anyway, have any advice on scripting animation memes? Entirely fine if not, I just thought I'd ask since I figured you have experience with animation memes!
so for this i would ask what type of animation memes do you want to do and what do you want them to convey? theres a lot of types of animation memes that scripting may or may not go well with. for me, i try to choose animation memes with a lot of story potential rather than more repetitive head-bobby memes (though those ones are fun for me to do on occasion!) because of that, most of the memes i do may look a lot more like pmvs than your typical animation meme.
for example, my heaven says and good in me videos are animation memes, but they don't really repeat and are much more like short-form pmvs with backgrounds, shading, and a clear story to them. if you want to do something like that, then yeah scripting may be a good idea if it works for you! but if you wanted to do something like my big shot meme, where the focus is less on storytelling and more on repetition and simplicity, i usually jump into it without much forethought.
as for what i do specifically, i dont really script my pmv-like animation memes only because i tend to have a really hard time putting whats exactly in my head into words. so instead of scripting, i do animatics and storyboards.
heres a very small snippet of one of my storyboards for a full-length pmv i want to do as an example
this storyboard isnt for an animation meme,(its for an entire song) but its pretty much the same process. its a bunch of thumbnails sketches of what i have in mind for each of the song's lyrics (if there are any) and beats. in a way its just like scripting, but more visual(?idk if thats the right word) and with more of a clear idea of what exactly i have in mind. storyboards dont have to be detailed by any means (mine certainly arent) but its the most effective way for me to quickly get my ideas down and letting it stick!
its also sorta how i plot out comic pages before properly sketching them
(also heres that storyboard completely zoomed out)
all in all it really depends on what works for you! storyboards are more effective for me but if writing down everything as words is more helpful then do that! its really up to the individual person. c:

Don't Think Just Write
If you are stuck between having nothing to say and just not wanting to write something for your blog or anything like that try writing without thinking. It is the most creative way to get your words out without thinking too hard about it. No longer will you think too hard about what you are writing about, but you will just have at least some words to say. Words are powerful and are more important…

im only a year older than your daughter, and while im trans-masc/nb i think i can provide some of my experience!!
the holidays are *really* hard. being in the closet and getting constantly misgendered and deadnamed, not only at school but with family sucks major ass. be sure to give her time to be around you guys calling her the right name and pronouns and get away from the people she isnt out to. i also found that going to coffee shops (or elsewhere in public where you have to tell stangers your name) and telling them my preferred name helps too.
I dont know if she's out to her friends yet but being around friends who accept you is also nice. having people youre close to that dont call you the right name or pronouns hurts a lot, especially because friendships are so important in highschool. if thats not an option yet, thats ok too!! i just found that other people accepting me helped me accept myself. i dont know if its an option where you live, but one of the first people i came out to was my english teacher!!! her acceptance meant SO much to me, so consider trying to tell more people at school. however, i dont know your area or situation so be safe!!!!
gender affirming clothes too!! dressing more masculine helped me a lot with my dysphoria, so make sure she has fem clothes (if she wants them!!!!) to wear even if just in the house. i also know from one of my transfem friends that growing out her nails and taking care of her nails & hair helped her a lot too.
also... it seems silly but personalized items with her preferred name on them. silly but can be affirming!!
I think a final note is that sometimes, no matter what you do, you just feel defeated and sad. give her space to be sad and dont try to fix everything for her, just support her and help her however you can. ask her what she needs!!! being there for her is the most important thing.
to my transfem friends/followers... what are some things that you did as baby steps to feel better at the start of your transition? what are some things you wouldve liked for people around you to do that wouldve made you feel more comfortable?

January & February Favorites
The first favorites post of 2024, cute! I’m really trying to focus in on who I am at this very moment because every December I forget who January/February Kim was and feel like she surely existed years earlier. But alas, here I am, here we are, the January/February versions of ourselves, guiding us through the beginning of the year, doing our very best. Let’s get into it. . Books I heard so…

Haymitch wanted to slap the water away, but he was in a good mood so he didn't. He instead took the offered bottle and held it, and he actually made an effort to only scowl at Forrest instead of glare. What a lovely day. "Ar you asking because you want to eat with me?"
@versin-surfin ... liked (for forrest).
"i brought you water." he had also brought the other home. it was rare that anyone in town went to the victor's village, but forrest had made a few trips. almost all of them included making sure that haymitch made it home safe. "are you hungry?"

Smart Enough
Requested Here!
Pairing: Dominique Luca x fem!reader (Street's cousin/LAPD consultant)
Summary: While staying with your cousin Street, you assist the LAPD in catching a serial killer, but discover you fit the victim profile. SWAT agrees to protect you, but Street finds out that you and Luca are closer than you seemed.
Warnings: mostly fluff, r is threatened by a serial killer, the request mentioned High Potential and I love that show so I referenced it a lot
Word Count: 2.3k+ words
“The average rent in Los Angeles is $2,153. The average rent in the US overall is somewhere between $1,326 and $1,616. Even if you consider the higher prices, LA’s rent is 38% higher than the national average. On my analyst salary, I can’t afford rent and food, so you see my dilemma, right?” you ask before unwrapping a lollipop.
“As much as I enjoyed that presentation, I already agreed to let you stay here,” your cousin, Jim Street, replies.
“I thought you were a consultant,” Luca points out.
You twirl the lollipop in your mouth before pointing it toward Luca. “A consultant is a person who professionally provides expert advice, and an analyst conducts analysis. I technically do both.”
“And you do it well,” Luca replies, winking at you from behind Street.
“Thanks for letting me stay here, Luca,” you tell him. “I promise I’m much better behaved than Street.”
“Duke is better behaved than your cousin.”
Street scoffs loudly in argument, and you nod to agree with Luca. You’ve only been here for a night, but you can already tell you will have a good relationship with him.
“Remember that I gave up my bed for you,” Street says. “Sleeping on the couch where you should be.”
Your phone buzzes, and you read the message before standing. “Thank you, dear, sweet cousin,” you tell Street, hugging his shoulders from behind. “You’re the best. I’ll see you later. Bye, Luca!”
“Bye!” Luca calls.
Street turns toward Luca, his eyes narrowed. “Don’t. No Luca charm on my cousin, okay? She’s off limits.”
Luca salutes Street, but he can already tell you’re special. Even without his so-called Luca charm.
“Tell me what you see,” LAPD Lieutenant Melon requests.
“Hey!” Daphne Forrester says, backpedaling to look into the room. “Did you find a place to stay?”
“Do you mind?” Melon snaps as you answer, “I did! Thanks for suggesting that apartment, but I’m actually staying with my cousin until I can find something more permanent.”
“Permanent like murder?” Melon redirects. “Maybe the one you’re supposed to be consulting on?”
“Sorry,” Daphne says. “We’ll talk later,” she whispers to you.
You nod, then look at the case board before you. Your eyes bounce around the board. “They were all killed within a mile of college campuses, right?”
“Yeah,” Melon says before reading, “Two by UCLA, one by LBCC, and three from CIT.”
“Majors?”
“I don’t know. That’s not exactly something they find on autopsies.”
You stand and round the table to point at a picture. “Leslie Carver. This picture is from the crime scene, look!”
“At what?” Melon groans. “Just tell me what you see, that’s the whole point of having you here.”
“There's ink stains and minor paper cuts on her finger tips, plus a callous from holding a pen. These women were killed because they’re academics, because they’re smart. In fact… victim three, the one by LBCC, she wasn’t even in college.”
“And?”
“He’s not done.” You trace the pins on the map and decide, “There’s a pattern, and it’s nowhere near complete.”
“What’s the pattern? Where’s he going next?”
“I… I don’t know yet.”
You walk into SWAT HQ between two officers. They lead you directly into the situation room and pull up the case file on a large monitor screen. You’re instructed to sit on a stool and shift side-to-side as you wait.
“I’m Commander Hicks, this is Sergeant Harrelson, and 20-David squad-“
Street says your name and demands, “What are you doing here?”
“My job,” you answer, swinging your legs.
“She found a pattern in the Collegiate Killers’ victims,” Hicks says. “How do you two know each other?”
“I live with Luca,” you answer, smiling at him as he fights not to laugh.
“She’s my cousin,” Street corrects. “Who didn’t answer my question about why she’s here.”
“She fits the killer’s type,” Melon says.
Street steps toward you and raises his voice to ask, “What?”
“He’s killing smart people,” you explain with a shrug. “So, you’re safe.”
“Wait,” one of the other officers requests as he pulls Street back. “Can we start at the beginning? Without your commentary, Street?”
Melon waves toward you, and you slide from the stool to point to the map. “Six victims, all murdered within a few miles of college campuses. In order, the scenes were CIT, UCLA, CIT, LBCC, UCLA. On a map, that forms a composite triangle – two smaller triangles creating a larger one by sharing a side. The victims all had IQs over 130, which on the IQ scale means they were moderately gifted. But he’s forming these triangles by moving up in IQ. Victim one, IQ of 132, by victim 6, 139. He’s killing intelligent women, though the triangles are still a head scratcher.”
“What’s your IQ?” Hondo asks.
“145,” you answer softly.
“Highly gifted,” one of the detectives adds.
“If he’s only killing women around colleges, why are you considering yourself a target?” Street asks.
You purse your lips, and Melon explains, “We want to set a trap.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Street,” you begin.
“No,” he exclaims, turning toward you. “We’re not waltzing you into a college to catch some crazed killer. It’s out of the question.”
“It’s not your decision, Street.”
Street clenches his hand into a fist and takes a deep breath.
“That’s why they’re here, Street,” Hicks adds. “She’s not going in alone.”
“And how exactly do you expect to lead him to you specifically?” Street asks. “You’re not going to be the only smart woman on USC's campus.”
“No,” you agree. “But I will be the expert giving an unscripted seminar on medieval jousting and wearing a short skirt.”
Street opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. He shakes his head and returns to Luca’s side but crosses his arms and glares at you.
“I trust you to keep me safe,” you say. “If that helps at all.”
“A bit,” he grumbles.
“We’ve got two days,” Hicks announces. “The seminar is at one p.m., but we can’t have obvious police presence on campus. So, let’s talk logistics.”
“Street,” you sigh, stopping at the end of the couch. “You know I wouldn’t just do this if I thought it wasn’t necessary.”
Street huffs and turns his face into a pillow. You drop your jacket onto his legs and sit, smiling as he pulls his feet out from under you at the last second.
“What can I say to make this better?” you ask.
“That you’re not going to do it.”
“I can’t say that Street. You know I didn’t get into this job on purpose, but I’m good at it, and I want to help make sure other women aren’t senselessly murdered just because they’re smart.”
“For someone so smart, you’re pretty stupid sometimes,” Street says against the couch cushion.
“I guess you’re wearing off on me.”
You yell dramatically as Street kicks your side, then laugh and fall against him. Luca clears his throat from the doorway, and when you look up, he tips his head toward the kitchen.
“Want something to drink, Street?” you ask.
“Something strong.”
“One water with mint coming up.”
Street continues grumbling as you leave his side and follow Luca. He smiles, asks what you’d like for dinner, and then begins gathering the ingredients.
“I’m nervous,” you admit softly.
Luca takes your hand and promises, “I’ll be with you the whole time. We all will.”
You lean against Luca’s chest, sighing as he holds you close. When Street stands from the couch, you separate quickly. Moving in with them was supposed to be temporary, just a place to sleep, but each moment you spend with Luca makes you more hesitant to leave.
“Are you ready?” Street asks.
You take a deep breath and nod. “Ask me a question about jousting.”
“Why did they use lances?”
“Actually, the lance was only one of three acceptable weapons for jousting,” you answer immediately. “The others were axes and swords. Later in jousting, the sword became more widely used because the cross guard resembled a crucifix.”
“You’ve got this,” Street assures, squeezing your hand once. “And you’re wearing my jacket, so you have to come back.”
“Of course.”
As you walk into the college auditorium, you smile at a few passing students and faculty, then find your place at the podium. Luca smiles from the back row, and several younger officers are scattered throughout the room. A professor introduces you, and the questions begin nearly immediately. Luca watches everyone who speaks but makes sure to catch your gaze every few minutes to give you a reassuring nod.
When your hour and a half is up, you thank everyone, then exit into what appears to be an empty hallway.
“Excuse me,” a man who looks to be in his thirties calls as he steps out of another door. “I had something I wanted to share if that’s okay.”
“Sure,” you agree, pressing your upper arms against your ribs beneath Street’s jacket.
“Some jousters bolted their armor to their saddles.” He steps toward you, and you hold your ground despite the intense urge to keep room between you. “I’ve been known to find more creative ways to keep women where I want them.”
“Do you know who I am?” you ask, tilting your head to the right.
He says your name, IQ, and educational history, and asks, “That sound about right?”
“You’ve done your research. But you forgot LAPD consultant.”
His hand closes around your throat, his fingers digging into the tense muscles along the side of your neck before he pulls you against him. He turns you so your back is against his chest and pulls a knife from his belt to push against your side.
“LAPD SWAT!” Hondo yells from behind you.
The man spins quickly, his arm tightening around your throat. Street tenses behind Hondo, and your heart rate calms when you see almost all of 20 Squad in uniform with guns aimed at the killer against your back. Luca is absent, you notice.
“Drop the weapon!” Street commands.
You gasp as the arm against you tightens, but it suddenly drops. The knife hits the tile floor with a sharp noise, and the man steps back from you as his hands raise.
“Smarter than he looks,” Luca taunts.
You turn on your heel and release a sigh when you see Luca behind the serial killer.
“Not that smart,” you add softly.
“Interlace your fingers behind your head,” Luca instructs.
Street rushes to your side, pulls you into a tight hug, and whispers quickly against your shoulder.
“I didn’t hear any of that,” you admit, patting his back.
“I was telling you I’m glad he didn’t cut my jacket,” Street lies.
“Can I go home now?”
“Paperwork first,” Lieutenant Melon says as he enters the hall. “Welcome to police life.”
“I’ll have dinner ready when you get home,” Luca promises.
“I knew moving in with him was a good idea.”
When you return to Luca and Street’s house, lean against the door, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Street reluctantly agreed to go out with his friends and blow off some steam after a stressful week, so you expect you’ll have the house to yourself.
“Need anything?” Luca asks.
You shake your head without opening your eyes, and Luca carefully takes your bag from your hand.
“Thanks,” you murmur. “For everything.”
“Anytime.”
“So,” you begin.
After several seconds, Luca asks, “So?”
“You know how Street’s super protective of me?” Luca hums, and you tip your head down and open your eyes. “He hates when I go on dates, of course, but… I really like you, Luca.”
“You’re smart enough to know how I feel about you.”
“Street wouldn’t like it if we did anything.”
“Anything like what? Went on a date?”
You nod, and Luca shrugs.
“What should we do about that?”
You push off the door and step toward Luca, raising your arms to wrap around his shoulders. Luca’s arms circle your waist and pull you closer. With your forehead against his, you decide you're okay with whatever dramatic response Street has.
“I recommend we tell him in a crowded room, so he doesn’t hit me,” Luca whispers.
You tilt your jaw toward his and reply, “Or we stop thinking about him for now,” before you brush your lips against Luca’s.
“It’s believed that the LAPD actually coined the acronym SWAT,” you say.
“You’re back,” Street says as he enters the room, looking around for the detectives you accompanied last time. “Friendly visit?”
You nod and continue your story. “After the Texas Tower Incident, LAPD formed their SWAT team. The concept originated in the late 1960s after sniping incidents. The unit was originally designated the ‘D’ Platoon.”
“I can’t believe you’re related to Street,” Chris muses.
“Me neither,” Tan agrees. “You’re so smart, and he’s so… Street.”
“Hey, I’m smart!” Street interjects.
“Smart enough, maybe,” Hondo adds.
“Not very observant though,” Luca says.
You smile and take Luca’s hand, and Street’s eyes bounce rapidly between your shared hands, your face, and then Luca’s.
“You’re going to get dizzy,” you warn.
“Luca, she’s my cousin!” he exclaims.
“Yeah,” Luca says.
“You can’t date my cousin.”
“Can, and am.”
“I’ll kick you out.”
“It’s my house,” Luca argues, and you ask, “Wait, me?”
Street rubs his hand over his mouth, then promises, “I’ll find a way to fix this.”
“Street,” you say, stepping toward him and using your best loving cousin smile. “I really like him. He makes me happy.”
Street stares at you for a moment, then turns away. “Deacon, tell me you get it.”
“I get how she and Luca look at each other.”
Street tips his head back and groans. “Hurt her, Luca, and-“
“Please, I’d hurt him first,” you interrupt. Luca’s jaw drops, and you promise, “I know you won’t, but it’s the only way to shut him up.”

Hiiii can i make a request for a possessive neteyam 🥹 i need one where he x reader argue, and he says something hurtful because he’s jealous and reader goes to leave the hut to cool off because she’s hurt but he makes it up to her ;) WINK WINK maybe a little touch of a begging neteyam as well hehe
Dirty filthy nasty talk as well sorry I’m done now LMAO
SOMEONE ELSE !
a/n — hi love! sorry i don't really feel comfortable writing smut with neteyam (or anyone lmao) just yet 😭 so i just made it a lil suggestive at the end i hope that's ok!! / also since the end is suggestive and implied to lead to something neteyam's aged up cause he's a minor and that would be awk🧍♂️
—
To say you and Neteyam were inseparable was practically an understatement. Ever since you'd met as kids, you always stuck together. You were there for each other when you got your ikrans, even, and you'd always go on rides together. A dynamic duo, people liked to call you.
So of course, when his family left the clan for the safety of everyone, you couldn't just let your mate leave you. So with some convincing and promising that the Sully's would take you in as their own, your parents reluctantly agreed, deciding you could choose your own future.
Though you missed the forrest, being by the ocean was something you'd never experienced before, and it was one of the most beautiful sights you've ever seen. There were so many creatures and the people were different in many ways, you were excited to learn about everything.
However, you grew less and less thrilled when you realized the time you spent with Neteyam would diminish to very little. He was always out and about, getting to ride his ilu and protecting his siblings from those in the village who looked down upon them. He was always so stressed, so tired, that when you did hang out, you always felt like a burden, or an argument would start.
So you started to keep your distance, and as a result, met new people and made new friends. You started to enjoy the presence of a boy named Rotxo, who was allegedly one of Ao'nung's friends. You were skeptic at first, not hearing so good things about his friend, but the more you got to know him, he became a trustworthy friend. He heard all about your struggles with Neteyam, always a good listener and giving good advice.
Although, Neteyam didn't see you and Rotxo's relarionship as anything friendly. In fact, whenever he spotted you two, he could be sulking for the rest of the day. Granted, it was his fault you two haven't been talking as much, and he could probably just have talked to you about it. But he didn't know how, and as a result, you'd found another person to fill his company.
Was he really that easy to replace?
Finally having enough, Neteyam wordlessly grabbed your arm, dragging you away mid-conversation with Rotxo. He ignored your protests and took to a secluded area, stopping only to be met with a harsh glare.
"What the hell, Neteyam?" You shouted, crossing your arms. Yikes. He didn't think that one through. "What's your problem? I was talking to him!"
"Well maybe I don't want you talking to him!"
"Why?" You inquired, annoyed at his antics. "You don't get to decide who I can and can't talk to. I'm my own person. Plus he's my friend. And he's been better company than you, as of late."
His heart dropped at the blow, knowing you were right. "It just makes me uncomfortable, okay? I don't like him being close to you."
"Oh, you don't like someone else enjoying my company? Sorry Neteyam, but I'm not going to wait around alone and close myself off from everyone else just because you refuse to talk to me! I happen to enjoy talking to Rotxo, and there's nothing you can do that will stop me."
"Fine then," he snapped, jealousy overcoming him. "Go! Go be with Rotxo. See if I care," he paused, sinking his fingers into the palms of his fists and unable to stop himself from digging an even bigger whole. "I have others who want my company. There's many metkayina women who would enjoy my presence."
Offended that he would say such a thing, you scoffed, not recognizing the man standing in front of you. "Fine then! Go be with another woman!"
"I will!" He responded without thinking, immediately regretting it when he saw the look on your face.
"I never want to see you again." You seethed, eyes glossy as you walked hastily away from him, leaving a regretful Neteyam.
The days that passed by all felt like a blur, your heart throbbing. Did he really mean that? Was he tired of you? Were you making a mistake when you decided to follow him and his family? Rotxo listened to all your worries, comforting you and helping you avoid Neteyam at all costs.
He kept looking for you, wanting a chance to apologize. He wishes he had just kept his mouth shut, or went after you once you walked away. The scene replayed in his head constantly, thinking of what he could've done different to make you not hate him.
So he waited until after eclipse, and when everyone else went to bed, he went out to the beach, knowing you would be there. You always enjoyed the solitude of nighttime, when nobody else was awake and you could watch the waves peacefully on your own.
Neteyam slowly made his way up to you, awkwardly clearing his throat to grab your attention. When you actually turned around and focused on him he was shocked, wide eyed and speechless. "Um, hi."
"Hi." you curtly responded, ready to leave when he grabbed your hand.
"Please, y/n. I want to apologize." He pleaded.
You gave him a look, as if saying to get on with it. He hesitated, not completely sure what to say. "I'm...i'm sorry. I didn't mean it. Any of it. I was jealous that you were spending more time with Rotxo."
You stayed silent still, making him nervous. "And I don't want another woman," he added, looking you dead in the eye. "I wouldn't dream of it. You are the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. You are kind, sweet, loyal, and have been nothing but the best for me. I took that for granted, so when I saw you enjoying the company of another, it pissed me off. I cannot stand the thought of you being with someone who isn't me." he stopped, and you noticed his eyes starting to glimmer in the moonlight.
"I'm sorry. Truly. And if you don't forgive me I understand." Neteyam finally finished, his chest rising up and down shakily.
"Oh, ma Neteyam," you cooed, taking his face in your hands. You wiped away the tears that fell down his face with your thumbs, kissing where they fell. "I could never want anyone other than you. I just need you to talk to me next time, okay? No more keeping your problems from me. I'm here to help you with your burdens, not hide them."
The boy nodded wordlessly, pressing a chaste kiss to your lips. "I promise, my love. I will never make you feel like I want someone else again."
He then trailed kisses down your jaw, lips softly moving over the skin of your neck. His teeth grazed over it, biting lightly. He chuckled from the soft sound that left your throat, kisses drifting down below your neck. He pressed you against a tree, knee separating your legs.
"Neteyam, not here." You breathed out, not making any attempt to stop him. But, you really didn't want to get caught by anyone in a public area like this.
"Shh, my love," he soothed, hands wafting towards your loincloth. "I'm gonna make it up to you, okay?"
Oh, you were in for a long night.

a/n — i literally had no idea how to write the ending i'm sorry if it's bad 🧍♂️

Ways to Build a Relationship With God ♱
~ Pray
~ Tell Him about your day
~ Ask Him for advice
~ Ask Him to give you a sign that he is listening (plants, animals, etc.)
~ Start a journal (this is a great way to reflect on your relationship with Him and talk about the feelings you feel towards Him. You could also write about your plans to build a better relationship with Him.)
~ Light a candle dedicated to Him (if you don't have an religious candle, it'd probably be best to state that it's for him just so he is aware :) )
~ Build an altar for Him
~ Read the bible to understand His story
~ Carry crystals that remind you of Him
~ Perform a spell for Him
~ Ask angels to help you better connect with Him (in my opinion, archangel Gabriel seems to be the best option for this because he loves teaching me how to have better faith!)
~ Talk to your friends/family about Him (if they are open to it of course, remember it's never nice to force your beliefs on others!)
~ Do kind acts as offerings to Him (helping people in need, do chores around the house, include people who are left out, take care of animals in and outside of your home, do some babysitting, show His creation respect by cleaning up litter, work on your mental health to prove you want to be better for Him, etc.)
~ Listen to worship music (don't worry if fancy church music isn't your thing, there are a bunch of artists who make fun up beat worship songs! Altar by Hulvey/Forrest Frank is a great one)
~ Light incense
~ Make art for Him
~ Wear cross/religious jewlery
~ Wear a veil

Bambi the Elf Prince AU:
Karus Alvida is a wood elf prince—although a rank lower than Bambi— and the heir of Alvida clan. Known for intelligence and political prowess in young age, he followed his parents during one of the summit meeting with other magical beings’ leaders, encountering Bambi. At first sight, Karus viewed Bambi as vulnerable being and considered he should protect the prince whenever visiting. It didn’t took quite a while for the two to become friends, but Karus couldn’t stand Ronno’s arrogance as both exchange witty yet snarky remarks to one another. According to Friar Owl, Karus was a friend who Bambi “cherished passionately” in their childhood.
It was the winter, when Bambi’s mother Frida was killed by human, Karus’ primary concern was Bambi. Shortly, in funeral, he and his family stood with the elves mourning the late elven Great Princess. Days went by, with the Elven Great Prince’s suggestion, Bambi and Karus studied together in a same palace as Karus’ father Ragnar Alvida being the royal tutor. Due to spending childhood with late mother, Bambi struggled to catch up the lessons as several elves begin to question Bambi’s birthright as their future leader, but Karus remained a loyal friend to him. It was revealed that Karus’ mother was abducted by humans at one point during his childhood and was assaulted by the human queen named “Grimhilde” who was envious of the elven beauty and tried to absorb the power from her, but was stopped as his father Ragnar rescued his wife. Since then, the Alvida family despised humans as Karus’ mother developed a fear of being touched, even by her own husband. Witnessing these for years as Karus aged, he felt that it would be painful to care as he became a cold individual and started to be calculating for the benefits of his clan, beginning to take Bambi’s friendship for granted.
It has gotten worse when Bambi accepted Gobo, the half human-elf foster brother of Faline, as his new friend and Karus’ family began to stop supporting the royal family. Instead, Karus’ father Ragnar concluded that his son and Faline’s marriage could salvage the “pure blood” of two noble elf family, in which, Karus agreed. And at the coming of age ceremony for elves older than Bambi, Karus’ father announced the possible arranged marriage between his son and Faline, as Thumper called Karus “spineless” to get his “powerful daddy” to help setting him up with Faline than bravely asking for her hand. However, unlike Karus, Ronno approached Bambi to challenge him as he announced that while aware of Bambi and Faline’s relationship, he wants to see how strong Bambi is. While these two’s action could be considered as treason, Bambi agreed a duel with them. Karus was first person Bambi battled. But, hearing Flower’s stern advice regarding to what he truly wants, Karus learned too late the reason of his own change was being afraid to go through same pain his father suffered and has made cowardly decision by choosing Faline as “convenient condition” instead of Bambi, the one who genuinely cared for him. When Karus lost, his parents were horrified of the tradition that Bambi must kill him for the act of betrayal. However, Bambi spared his life but not in same reason for Ronno; Bambi was disappointed (and even heartbroken) of the betrayal and needed a time away from Karus to think over.
Months in the Alvida castle, Karus finally talked to his parents of the reason he agreed with father’s initial arrangement planned for him and Faline; because of fear of ended up unloved and hurt in a same away his father went, so he chose no to care. And, as true wooden elf, Karus was willing to take any punishment the Great Prince or Bambi had for him, as he has long lost what he held important. However, the letter from the royal Álvaldur family arrived for Bambi’s coming of age ceremony with Karus appointed as Bambi’s favourite. Some of the Alvida clan members insists he must accept as it means restoring the former political/social power of the family, but Karus was reluctant out of guilt. His mother, Ingrid, noticed his son’s fear and said he needs to see Bambi again and never run away from any possible consequences, for it is not fitting in the name of a clan as believes that her son can be brave. When entering the palace, Karus’ clan realized how fallen their noble name has as they saw another favourite, Ronno, being picked along. When Ragnar asked for explanation, Bambi said it was his own decision to pick both Karus and Ronno, adding that both clans are needed for the benefits of realm. While a bit hurt that Bambi chose him for political purpose, Karus felt he didn’t deserve the same bond they used to have. But, he decided to serve Bambi nonetheless.
In the coming of age ceremony of Bambi, Karus was present with his parents and other elven clans. However, the ceremony was interrupted when the human troops trespassed the border of realm. While Albrénean ordered the troops to fight, Karus assisted Bambi to take citizens in safety. Ragnar begged his son to not to go fight, but Karus decided to join Ronno and Bambi to fight the human troops. He was horrified when the human lord injured Bambi with a firearm, but relieved as it was no fatal injury. Ronno and Karus temporarily teamed up to take down the human soldiers, then witnessed Bambi fired the arrow at the human lord who was about to kill Albrénean; the very first time Bambi’s arrow hit the bullseye. As remaining human soldiers left the battlefield, Karus and Ronno led Albrénean and Bambi away from burning forest.
Karus was later seen with other elves, mourning Gobo and later, assisting Bambi in restoring the United Regions of Forrest from the attack of humans. Over that time, he witnessed his mother Ingrid overcame her fear as she and her husband reconciled into loving pair. Watching Bambi and Faline together, Karus wondered if his heart would heal eventually. Yet, he chose a path to support the two and developed a tolerable friendship with Bambi’s other friends.
Spin-Off “Perri and Annerle” AU:
Taking place after the main events, Karus succeeded his father in gaining the noble title and became Bambi’s advisor. With Bambi as new Great Prince, Karus actively supports and aids him in court affairs more than Ronno, who became a high-ranked warrior of elven army. Despite gaining elven youths’ attention, Karus remained unmarried.
When Perry the fairy’s human friend Annerle came into the realm and encountered Bambi, Karus was seen showing indifference in idea of letting the mortal girl stay in a palace. He was mentioned later by Annerle, who have heard of history of Bambi with his two elven friends, to Ronno in order for her to get Ronno’s good side. Mirro proudly pointed out that Ronno is a perfect model as what the dark elf should be; proud, strong and mighty, downgrading Karus for letting his trivial emotions to break the vow to support Bambi over Faline during their youth. Annerle was informed by her fairy friends Perry and Porro that wasn’t the real case as it was Karus’ fear of emotions dragging him down, leading to fatal mistakes of betraying Bambi by attempt to have an arranged marriage with the very woman who was already courting Bambi. Annerle soundly understood why despite his current status, some of the elves doesn’t approve Karus being an advisor.
It was also shown that Karus occasionally teaches lessons to Bambi and Faline’s children. Watching Annerle’s drawings of her life, realizing it has been centuries since the last time humans trespassed their realm. When Bambi curiously asked Annerle how does her time of humans find love, Karus and Ronno were flummoxed and turned their face away. Although, they were fascinated how human societies nowadays no longer have “conditions” or “limitations” in relationship. Later, when Faline asked Annerle how she thought of elven acquaintances, she analyzed that Karus is trying to redeem the years of betrayal and his brain is helpful in diplomacy, while Ronno is much ambitious and could be dangerous, but can be in great advantages when he uses for the good of the realm and safety of Bambi. When Annerle added that Bambi might be aware of these points, Faline confirmed that he does. The smart human girl concluded that while Bambi wanted to reconnect, he may have also decided to use their potentials for the good of his kingdom, due to some occasions feeling the invisible walls between Bambi and Karus.
At one point, Annerle—believed her boyfriend Lukas to be dead—was in grief and anger as these emotions were effecting her mindset; she wanted to avenge Lukas. When Karus persuades her to reconsider her thought, she angrily yelled at him that he wouldn’t understand the pain of losing someone important because he betrayed Bambi and broke his heart for manipulative and cold purpose, leaving Karus stunned as Annerle left. After the talk with Bambi, Annerle apologized to Karus. But, he forgave her as he wasn’t upset at her as he felt he held no position to retort. However, later when he saw Lukas revealed to be alive and reunites with Annerle during Perry and Porro’s wedding, he knew this was Ronno’s doing and confronted him. Ronno replied he was simply doing the girl a favor as the human girl is important friend to Bambi. Then, the dark elf warned Karus to know his place as he may have been in the court by help of his “royal mummy and daddy”, but he himself worked on his own as the favourite without any clan’s support. Fumed Karus asked what he wants, but Ronno didn’t reply and left; as their rivalry remains hostile, if not, much worse.

It's okay if you'd rather not share, but I'm wanting to start a webcomic and I'm not really sure how to script it. I know that since I'm the only one working on it, the script only needs to make sense to me, but I'm still kinda stuck lol.
How do you script Runes?
scripting is definitely easier once you have a relatively solid idea of what events happen in your story! if you don't know what your webcomic is going to be about yet, i'd make a timeline first and figure out the very beginning and the very end of your story, then you can slowly figure out the rest from there!
as for scripting itself, what i did is create a summary of each chapter in runes. like you said, it only has to be so you understand what's happening in the chapter, so the summary itself doesnt have to be completely coherent haha. its basically just a big block of text that describes what i want the characters to do, where they are, the purpose of each scene, and sometimes ill write specific lines or interactions that i know i want to appear in the comic.
after doing that, i break down the chunks of text and turning it into actual dialogue! heres an example of what my scripts look like.
(as a quick aside- i use an app called werdsmith to script. but you can use literally any writing application haha)
its important to know that you can always go back and revise things. if a scene doesnt work or if a line isnt hitting, you can change it!! even when you think you're done with a script, you may find that you want to add or change things and thats okay!
thats how i work my way through scripting! i know it seems a little daunting at first, thats just how creating an entire story is, but my advice is to literally just go for it! if you have a story you want to tell then its worth telling.
i wish you luck!!!

Advice on deconverting:
The anger is REAL. If you aren't pissed off already, then you'll probably be eventually with the shit they taught you/what happened to you. And you're ALLOWED to feel that way, but PLEASE PRIORITIZE YOUR SAFETY. Try not to get into arguments. The anger will dimish with time, especially if you focus on good, healing things. Don't downplay or run away from your anger, but shift your focus from bad people to yourself and your allies.
THE FEAR IS ALSO REAL. It's a normal reaction to show up during confrontations and sermons, so notice it but don't let it control your decisions. Especially when you go through a difficult situation... going back to god may be tempting, but eventually you'll never even remember him during hard times lol
BUILD A SAFETY NET!!! Irl friends, online spaces, everything you can find to help you!!!
You'll have to learn to leave so many things and people behind. It hurts, but I promise it'll get better beyond the wall. And refrain from "saving" others: they'll never deconvert against their will.
Even if you still believe in the supernatural, give it a break and learn to accept a non-magical reality. I'm not saying you should be an atheist but it's so important to be at peace with the idea of permanent death, human-made morality, an indifferent universe and such. These ideas were extremely liberating for me, but I know they're worrisome for some. You gotta build your new worldview based on objectivity first
So, it's so important not to overwhelm yourself. Your journey is like a tower, built one brick at a time.
Knowledge is your friend, and especially the same type you may have avoided before. I'm talking of evolution, debunking theist arguments, the history of christianity, other religions, demonology, etc. I like the YT channels of Genetically Modified Skeptic, Forrest Valkai, Professor Dave Explains, Religion for Breakfast, Esoterica, and Aron Ra's series on Noah's Ark. Aaand you'll find more good ones along the way!
Healing from religious trauma is like any other kind of trauma: lots of ups and downs, you may relapse, have breakdowns, and you're bound to make mistakes too. In my case, I was already pretty far in my recovery from mental illnesses before deconverting, and so I employed tactics like the safety net in this situation and although I made mistakes too, I mostly felt at ease. I also recognized and dealt with religious trauma still inside the religion, but I only notice now that I could only FULLY heal from its effects outside the church.
Wish you the best

Hey so this is my first attempt at a fic please give me any advice you can!!
Pairing: Prince X implied Fem! Thief reader
NO USE OF Y/N
Cw: swearing, slightly suggestive
AN: I’ve got like 0.5 of an idea right now and I just woke up. Please don’t hate it
Midnight. I know it’s a cliche for a thief to enter at midnight but it means that all of the very intimidating and definitely not little puppy’s in big boy clothes guards are asleep, or extremely close to it.
I scour the palace halls for the gem room, I know it’s got a formal name but I’ll be honest I don’t care. And bingo! I’m in. Stuffing everything I can into my threadbare bag before freezing. Fuck. Someone heard me? Why are they coming? Oh shit oh shit oh fuck me sideways shit. I’m so dead!
Hastily I try to escape but a figure is blocking my doorway, definitely male from what I can see, his hair is a mess and sobbing quietly.
A gasp. That’s all that gives me away, one motherfucking gasp and his head whips over to me. Fuck I’m dead. I lived a shitty life and will die a shitty death.
“Who’s there?” He calls. He sounds like he’s crying, what does he have to cry about?
“Nobody!” I say trying to sound intimidating. It does work for a second but he replies with a skeptical
“I am the crown prince I am eternally more powerful than a worthless thief like you”
Wow. Arrogant much? And I bet he’s not a good fuck.
“I am indigo Montoya, you killed my father prepare to die.”
“What? Oh my goodness I’m so sorry! Is that why you’re here? I really don’t want to die though, so how about I let you go with all of those lovely jewels?”
“Have you never watched the princess diaries?”
He shakes his head, still shrouded by shadows.
“Ok I actually cannot see you, so let’s step into the light ok princey?”
He obeys my command, holy shit he obeys my command! The crown prince an arrogant asshole obeys me!
“Wow. You’re actually kinda pretty.” I say momentarily awestruck by his perfectly messy curls, with a shade of blonde that reflect the light from the candles so beautifully.
“Thanks! I’d say the same but I can’t see you. Can I see you?” He asks a faint blush creeps up his cheeks
“Promise you won’t snitch on me?”
He nods his golden curls bouncing in a near pornographic way. It’s like a perfume ad, where the actual product is hardly there. Now I don’t realise that I’m staring or that it’s been a solid minute since I’ve spoken, until his adorable little ‘ahem’ brings me back. God it’s so cute!
“Oh shit right! Yeah” I step forward and he actually flushes red, like blood red.
For a solid minute no one dares to interrupt our taking in of eachothers features.
“You should go. It’s my duty to tell my fath-“
“No. It’s only your duty if you want to tell him.”
“But-“
“no buts princey. I’m not letting you snitch on me.”
He sighs and I see just how tear stained his face is.
“What’s wrong doll?” I ask stepping forward
“It’s just I don’t want to marry some stuck up noble! She doesn’t even like ME, she likes my money and status” his gorgeous face lets out a heartbreaking sob and tears fall rapidly.
Fuck what do I do? Can the gods above tell me? No of fucking course they can’t. And that’s why my arms rap around him holding him close
“Look at me darling. You’re ok, I know it’s bad. Ok?”
His gorgeous sea blue eyes well up and spill as he buries his head into the crook of neck
“You know you could leave, darling, with me. We could sail off into the sunset together”
He stares at my face trying to see any lie in my words “why are you so nice to me?”
“ Don’t worry about that my sweet, do you want to come with me?”
He hesitantly nods.
“We need to go, now”
I grab his slender wrist and run through the castle, out the gates and into the thick Forrest. I kiss him, softly, and he holding my hands, kisses back.
“Let’s go my love.”
Centuries later tales will be told of the disappearing crown prince, but we will know exactly what happened.
If you like it please like and/or repost! Thank you!!

Some Christian Borle works that I hope vox fans will know about !!
I assume that there are many hazbin fans who are discovering CBorle or my tiktok has just been fueling this misunderstanding. Anyway, live laugh Christian Borle
Spamalot (OBC) - Historian/Prince Herbert/others
He is so funny in this, especially as Prince Herbert and not-dead-yet Fred. Being ragdolled and shaken around by the king as Prince Herbert or insulting Sir Robin with his tambourine as a minstrel
Legally Blonde (OBC) - Emmett Forrest
I know this is one of his most iconic roles but Emmett deserves more love literally the sweetest character and CBorle played as him so well. His "little miss woods comma Elle" AH and the little things that makes Emmett RAHHHHH
Some Like it Hot (OBC) - Joe/Josephine/Kip
Did you know that he does most of this show IN HEELS. Not only that, TAP DANCING IN HEELS like are you kidding. He also wrote some lines for the show! I love the whole show in general, it is so funny and so real in how they talk about identity and how you present yourself. I can write a whole essay but that'll be for another day. I love this show with all my heart
Little Shop of Horrors (2019 off-bway revival) - Orin/others
Speaking of heels, he too was in heels for this production, but much much less than SLiH. Still, the talent is there. Especially when he plays all the different characters, from a crazy dentist like Orin to Skip Snip. He is also super unhinged and likes to drag out his death as Orin to make the audience laugh. I recommend watching the tiny desk concert first if you are not familiar
Thoroughly Modern Millie (Replacement) - Jimmy Smith
There's not much for this show, just a video of him singing What do I need with love. I liked his singing in this and the small details he does during this song to show that Jimmy has fallen for Millie is cute
Mary Poppins (Replacement) - Bert
He may claim that he was the worst tap dancing Bert but he was still a champ for learning all that choreo and even going upside down in step in time. Another one with crumbs :" Gosh what I would give for a boot cuz rn its just the disney on Bway videos and jolly holiday. He did it with Laura Michelle Kelly :)
Me and My Girl (New York City Centre) - Bill Snibson
He did this show with Laura Michelle Kelly too :))) AND THE SHOW IS SO FUNNY it's so underrated and has very funny lines. Someone said that it was basically 2 hours of CBorle being silly. I also love his and Laura Michelle Kelly's dynamics as Bill and Sally. Speaking of this couple, Bill and Sally are literally as healthy as Emmett and Elle and i love that for them
Peter and the Starcatcher (OBC) - Blackstache
Literally my favourite show of his. His blackstache is so animated and silly I love him. And his agility sliding over the trunk and running around. His moments in Mermaid Outta Me ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ silly lil guy. Similarly to Orin, he likes to drag out his hand pain to make the audience laugh. AND HIS CURLS omg this era of CBorle hair is the best imo. And he won his first tony for it! That goes to show something about his portrayal of Captain Hook and how it needs more love !!!!!
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (OBC) - Willy Wonka
A lot of people seem to see this role as the role he went bald for. We joke about Borled Egg a lot but he brought such beautiful unhingeness to this role that really brought out the joy of this show.
Footloose (The Muny) - Director
He also directs! Though there is no boot for this production, he talks about his experience directing and working on the show in some interviews and a reunion zoom call. The cast talks about how he allows them to be free in their portrayal of the characters while giving advice and proper directions, especially since he was in Footloose for tour and bway. I would have loved to watch it since footloose is a show I like too. NaTasha Yvette Williams is also in this!
Anyway, he has done a lot more shows, he's been in the industry for nearly 30 years so he has a lot under his belt and I wish he wasn't just reduced to Vox's VA, Marvin or Shakespeare. He's a brilliant actor with impeccable comedic timing and seriousness. He's not a two-time Tony award winner for nothing!
#tbh i also didnt know a few until recently i just deep dived super hard#but watching these shows i love them so much not just CBorle but the whole cast#SLIH and Little shop and peter#theyre so good#me and my girl is rly funny for a musical from 1937#christian borle#hazbin hotel vox#everytime i see a vox pfp ill be like U KBOW OF CHRISTIAN BORLE

Hello! I’ve been researching for probably a year now on working with and worshipping deities. I want to start working with Hades as well as a few others. Anyway my question is when are you able to form a more casual/intimate relationship with your deity? How do you know if they want that? Love your account btw!
Hey, Forrest! Glad you like my blog c:
My best advice to anyone who is hesitating with deity worship is to just dive right into it. Even if something doesn't work out the way you anticipated, there's no better way to get the experience you're looking for than to simply just start. That's honestly how I started worshipping Lord Haides - just diving right into it after some basic research on who he is. Sounds like you've done way more than enough research, so I think now is the time to take action!
If a deity doesn't want to be worshipped by you, I promise they will find a way to make that clear to you. Deities know how to speak for themselves very well. That said, however, I haven't met a single deity that doesn't at least appreciate worship or veneration. I'm closer with some than others, but I venerate many deities, and even the ones I tend to be more formal with are very kind. There is no negative consequence for beginning worship. Deities are the protection from evil, not the cause of it. There is nothing for you to fear by diving right in. You're more than ready. 🧡
If you do ever want a direct form of communication with a deity, though, I recommend looking into different divination methods. These are the best ways to get a very direct and oftentimes immediate answer from a deity. Things such as tarot, cartomancy, pyromancy, and carromancy work great!
With this all said, I do have a very broad guide on beginning worship if you find yourself at a loss of how to start. Under my pinned post, you can look in the "Deities & Entities" section to find some very useful posts on how to get started. Near the bottom of the post should be something called "How to get started with Paganism" or "How to start worshipping a deity" - something like that. The post gives very general first steps, such as how to give your first offering. I hope it can be of some help to you!
Thank you for the ask! I wish you the best on this new journey, and I truly hope you enjoy every step of it. Take care, and have a good day/night! 🧡
