The Great Hall buzzed with excitement as the Gryffindor Quidditch team entered for dinner, their victorious faces beaming from yet another win.
You couldn’t stop the sneer that tugged at your lips when your eyes landed on Ollie Bearman, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain.
Of course, he was the first to stand up and wave at the crowd, soaking in their adoration like a smug, self-satisfied lion.
Ollie Bearman. The perfect Gryffindor.
Everything about him annoyed you—from his flawless posture to the way he casually tossed his messy brown hair as though it were some kind of trademark move.
He wasn’t just a Quidditch captain, he was the golden boy, the darling of every Gryffindor. His confidence was unshakable, and it rubbed you the wrong way more than you cared to admit.
You rolled your eyes and turned back to your dinner, not sparing him another glance. But it wasn’t enough to escape the sound of his laughter as he shared a joke with his teammates, their boisterous voices filling the room.
You hated it.
You hated how effortlessly he commanded attention, how everyone just adored him for no reason other than the fact that he was a Gryffindor. You hated how he walked around like he owned the place.
That was when your friend, Isla, nudged you.
"He's looking at you," she whispered with a mischievous grin.
You narrowed your eyes, knowing exactly who she meant.
Ollie Bearman, no doubt enjoying the fact that you were sitting there fuming over his mere existence.
You didn’t even have to look up—he was probably grinning that cocky grin of his.
“I don’t care,” you muttered, stabbing your fork into your food. “He’s just some Quidditch-obsessed Gryffindor who thinks the world revolves around him.”
“Careful, Y/n," Isla teased, her tone mocking. "You wouldn't want to lose your cool in front of the Quidditch King."
You scoffed, too irritated to respond. Ollie Bearman had somehow managed to turn Quidditch into his entire identity.
He had that perfect, shiny Gryffindor arrogance—an arrogance that made you sick.
Later that evening, you found yourself at the Three Broomsticks with a few friends, attempting to unwind after a long week of academic stress.
You hadn’t expected to see him here. But of course, Ollie Bearman and his teammates stormed in, laughing and talking too loudly for your liking.
They sat at a table near yours, and you had no choice but to overhear the conversation. Ollie’s voice carried through the air, boasting about his latest victory.
“You should’ve seen the look on their faces,” Ollie said, grinning ear to ear. “We were unbeatable today. Another win for Gryffindor!”
The table around him laughed, and your irritation bubbled over. You couldn’t take it anymore.
"Must be nice, winning at a game that involves no real strategy," you called out, your voice cutting through the room.
Isla shot you a look of warning, but it was too late. The challenge had been thrown down.
Ollie’s gaze shifted to you, that familiar, infuriating smirk spreading across his face.
“Well, if it isn’t the Slytherin genius,” he drawled, his voice dripping with that all-too-familiar arrogance. “What’s the matter, couldn’t handle being in second place in the academic race?”
A flare of heat rose to your cheeks, but you didn’t back down.
“At least I don’t think winning a game with a broom makes me important,” you retorted, leaning back in your chair with a challenge in your eyes.
“Perhaps if you spent a little more time in the library and less time with your broomstick, you’d understand how real success works.”
A few of his teammates snickered, but Ollie didn’t miss a beat. He stood up, crossing the room toward you with a confident swagger.
“Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure books are very important in your world,” he said, his grin widening as he leaned casually against your table.
“But in the real world, we have to do things to prove our worth. Not just sit around and read about them.”
You clenched your jaw, your eyes narrowing. “I’d rather be doing something productive than pretending a game about flying on a stick matters. You’d never understand the importance of intellect, Bearman.”
His eyes flashed with amusement, but there was something else there too—something you couldn’t quite place.
“We’ll see about that, won’t we, Browning?”
The rest of the evening passed in a blur of sharp words, unspoken challenges, and ever-present tension between you and Ollie.
The rivalry was no longer just about House pride—it had become personal, a battle between two personalities that seemed destined to clash.
Tumblr media
The days after the confrontation at the Three Broomsticks felt like a storm was brewing. Every time you crossed paths with Ollie Bearman, that same, infuriating smirk was plastered on his face.
As if you hadn’t already made it clear you couldn’t stand his presence.
You tried your best to ignore him, to focus on your studies and maintaining your position as the top student of your year. But every time you heard his laugh or saw his arrogant grin, the heat of frustration flared up again.
It was a cold afternoon when you found yourself once again in a situation where you had no choice but to deal with Ollie.
Professor McGonagall had just announced that the students of your year were being assigned to work together for an extra-credit project on magical creatures.
The task? Track down and document a rare and dangerous magical beast deep in the Forbidden Forest. The catch? Every pair had to be carefully chosen by the professors—and, of course, in their infinite wisdom, McGonagall had paired you with none other than Ollie Bearman.
You had tried to argue, but McGonagall had simply raised an eyebrow and told you, “This will help you learn how to work with someone outside your usual circle, Miss Browning.”
You had to bite back the sarcastic remark that was already forming on your tongue.
It wasn’t the first time you’d had to work with someone you didn’t like, but it was the first time you’d been forced into a group with Ollie.
When you met him at the edge of the Forbidden Forest the next morning, he was already waiting, leaning casually against a tree, looking like he had absolutely no concerns in the world.
His Gryffindor confidence was on full display, and you could already feel the annoyance bubbling in your stomach.
"Finally decided to show up, Browning?" he teased, pushing off from the tree and smiling like he knew he had won some small victory just by getting there first.
“Don’t flatter yourself, Bearman,” you snapped back, brushing past him without making eye contact. “Let’s just get this over with.”
He smirked, but for once, it wasn’t filled with that usual arrogance. There was something else in his eyes—something more playful, like he was daring you to rise to the challenge.
“I’m just here for the creature,” he said, “but I have to admit, working with you might make this a little more interesting.”
You turned to face him, glaring. “Let’s just get one thing clear. If you get in my way, Bearman, I will leave you here. I don’t need some Quidditch-obsessed Gryffindor to get this job done.”
He raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained by your defiance.
“You sure about that? I seem to recall your strategy didn’t go so well in the last encounter with a magical creature. Maybe you could use my help after all.”
Your teeth clenched. You remembered that disastrous incident in the classroom last week when Ollie had pointed out, in front of the whole class, that your spell had backfired, causing your potion to explode. He had never let you forget it, using it as ammunition in every argument ever since.
“You really are full of yourself,” you muttered under your breath, but Ollie seemed to enjoy pushing your buttons.
“Only because I know I’m better than you,” he shot back, his grin widening as you shot him a glare.
With no other choice, you set off into the woods, Ollie following closely behind, still full of his usual swagger.
As you ventured deeper into the forest, the atmosphere grew more oppressive, the shadows from the tall trees stretching across the path, thickening with every step.
You could hear the distant rustling of magical creatures in the underbrush, but Ollie seemed oblivious, happily whistling as though he was on a leisurely walk in the park.
“Stay focused,” you snapped, reaching for your wand. “This isn’t a game, Ollie.”
He finally stopped whistling, giving you a mock salute. “Aye, captain.”
You bit back a retort, knowing that any attempt to argue would only fuel his insufferable attitude. But despite your frustration, there was a small part of you that begrudgingly admired how easily he navigated the forest.
It was clear he had an innate sense of bravery, charging forward with little fear of the dangers lurking behind every tree.
Suddenly, a rustling sound interrupted your thoughts. You immediately raised your wand, ready for whatever creature might appear. But Ollie’s reaction was even quicker.
He darted ahead, using his quick reflexes to grab something darting out of the brush before you could cast a spell.
In a fluid motion, he captured a small, silver-winged creature in his hand, holding it out to you with a grin.
“Well, that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
You blinked, stunned for a moment.
The creature he held was delicate, shimmering with magical energy. It was a rare species you had studied in class, but had never seen in person.
For a brief moment, you felt something other than annoyance toward Ollie. He had done something impressive. Something that actually required skill.
It wasn’t enough to erase all the bitterness you felt toward him, but it was a crack in the armor of your dislike.
“You’re not as useless as I thought,” you muttered, lowering your wand, though your tone was still clipped.
Ollie gave a soft laugh. “I can be more than just a Quidditch captain, you know. I do have a bit of brain in this head.”
You shot him a skeptical glance, but a small smile tugged at your lips. “Don’t get cocky, Bearman. We still have a long way to go.”
The journey continued with more shared silences and subtle exchanges of respect. Neither of you was willing to admit it, but something was shifting—an uneasy truce beginning to form as you ventured deeper into the forest, side by side.
As the day stretched on, and the deeper you and Ollie ventured into the Forbidden Forest, the more you realized just how much you were beginning to notice him.
Every sharp turn he made, every instinctual move to keep you safe—whether it was spotting a dangerous creature or grabbing your arm to pull you out of harm’s way—you couldn’t deny that there was more to Ollie Bearman than the smug Gryffindor captain you had loathed for years.
It made you uncomfortable, to be honest. You had built an entire narrative in your head about who Ollie was: arrogant, reckless, and obsessed with Quidditch.
But seeing him here, out in the wild, working as a team with you—granted, begrudgingly—you realized that you hadn’t really seen him at all.
“So,” Ollie began, breaking the silence, “what do you actually think of Quidditch, then? I know you think it’s pointless, but I’m curious. If you were the captain, what would you change?”
You turned to look at him, surprised at the question. It wasn’t like Ollie to ask about your opinion unless it involved him somehow proving he was better than you.
Still, you could see a shift in the way he looked at you—a more curious, thoughtful gaze.
“I think Quidditch is just a distraction,” you said, your voice guarded.
“It’s just... a game. People treat it like it’s the most important thing in the world, but at the end of the day, it’s just about winning and losing. There’s no real value in it beyond that.”
Ollie’s eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn’t seem angry. Instead, there was a spark of interest in his expression.
“So you think there’s no skill involved? That I’m just some distracted player?”
“No,” you corrected quickly, shaking your head.
“I didn’t say that. There’s skill, of course, but I don’t think it’s worth putting everything into. There’s more to life than flying on a broomstick and chasing a ball around.”
Ollie stopped walking, and for a moment, he was silent, almost as if he was processing your words.
You glanced over your shoulder, but his eyes were fixed on the ground, a thoughtful expression on his face.
The forest felt strangely still around you, the usual rustling of leaves replaced by the weight of the moment.
“You know,” Ollie finally said, a wry smile tugging at the corners of his lips, “sometimes I think you’re a little bit too serious for your own good. But I get it. You’re a Slytherin. You’re supposed to think everything else is beneath you.”
You bristled at his words. “I don’t think anything is beneath me. I just know what I want, and I don’t waste time on things that won’t get me anywhere.”
He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by your defensiveness. “Is that why you’re so... intense? So determined to always be the best at everything?”
The question hit a little too close to home.
You frowned, crossing your arms over your chest. “I don’t need to explain myself to you.”
Ollie chuckled, that easy, carefree laugh that always seemed to get under your skin.
“Fine, fine. But you know, if you ever decided to relax a little... maybe you’d see there’s more to life than books and grades.”
You shot him a sharp look. “And maybe if you focused on something other than Quidditch, you’d realize there’s more to the world than winning games.”
Ollie’s smile faltered just a bit, but it was enough for you to notice. He took a deep breath, eyes scanning the forest around you, and then gave you a sideways glance.
“Well, I guess we’re both just trying to prove we’re right about something,” he said softly, his tone a little less playful than before.
“Maybe that’s what makes us so similar.”
You blinked, taken aback. “What do you mean?”
He shrugged, still walking, but there was an odd sense of understanding in the way he held himself now.
“We both care too much about proving ourselves. You do it with your studies, I do it with Quidditch. We both put so much into what we’re passionate about... maybe that’s why we clash so much.”
You didn’t know how to respond to that. Part of you wanted to argue, to maintain the rivalry that had always defined your relationship, but another part of you—the part that had seen Ollie’s vulnerability for the first time—wanted to admit that maybe, just maybe, he was right.
Before you could say anything, a loud, eerie screech echoed from deeper within the forest.
The sound was enough to make your heart skip a beat, and Ollie’s expression shifted instantly into something more serious, more focused.
“That’s our cue,” he said, his voice now all business. “Stay close. It sounds like the creature we’re after.”
The next few hours passed in a blur of action. You and Ollie worked seamlessly together, your skills complementing each other in ways you hadn’t expected.
He was quick on his feet, fearless in the face of danger, while you used your knowledge of magical creatures to help guide your strategy.
There was a trust that had developed between you during the hunt, one that neither of you would acknowledge aloud, but it was there all the same.
When you finally managed to capture the rare creature and return to the castle, both of you were exhausted but victorious.
It was a rare moment of quiet between the two of you, standing just outside the entrance to the Forbidden Forest, the last of the evening light filtering through the trees.
Ollie turned to you, his gaze softer than you were used to. “Not bad, Browning. You might not be as insufferable as I thought.”
You smirked, still unwilling to admit how much you had come to respect him.
“You were all right too, Bearman. For a Gryffindor.”
He chuckled, that mischievous glint back in his eyes. “Guess you’ll just have to keep finding out how much more all right I can be.”
Your heart skipped in spite of yourself. It was infuriating, how easily Ollie seemed to get under your skin now.
You weren’t sure if it was the adrenaline or the strange warmth in his voice, but something had shifted between the two of you.
And for the first time, you found yourself wondering—just for a second—if there was more to Ollie Bearman than just a Quidditch captain.
Tumblr media
It had been a week since the Forbidden Forest trip, and the dynamic between you and Ollie had changed in ways you couldn’t quite explain.
While you were still far from friends, there was an undeniable shift. The tension that had once been a sharp, uncomfortable friction had softened into something that, though still fiery, was less about animosity and more about... understanding.
You found yourself meeting Ollie’s gaze more often than you cared to admit, and not in the usual confrontational way.
It was as if there was a silent acknowledgment between the two of you—the rivalry was still there, but it was starting to feel more like a game than a battle. And while you hated to admit it, you found yourself appreciating his quick reflexes, his unwavering determination.
He was more than just a Quidditch captain. He was actually... smart. Annoyingly smart.
But your thoughts were interrupted when Isla, your closest friend, cornered you in the library one afternoon, her eyes gleaming with the kind of curiosity you knew all too well.
"So," she began, a mischievous smile spreading across her face, "I’ve noticed something."
You looked up from your textbook, already feeling the heat rise to your cheeks. "What are you talking about?"
"Don’t play coy with me," Isla teased, leaning in conspiratorially. "You and Ollie Bearman. Something’s... happening, isn’t it?"
You froze, the quill in your hand suddenly still. "What? No. I—" You stammered, trying to find an excuse.
"He’s just—he’s a Gryffindor. We’re working on a project together. That’s it."
Isla raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Uh-huh. Sure. I’ve seen the way you two look at each other during dinner. You can cut the tension with a knife."
You leaned back in your chair, trying to collect yourself. "Isla, you’re imagining things. There’s nothing happening between us."
“Nothing, huh?” Isla’s grin widened, and she sat down beside you. “Because from where I’m sitting, you’re not exactly hating him as much as you used to.”
You glanced around the library nervously. What if someone overheard? What if Ollie had been talking about the trip? What if your friends noticed the shift in your dynamic?
"Fine," you muttered, a bit too defensively. "Maybe he’s... not as bad as I thought."
Isla’s eyes lit up, and she leaned in even closer. "Ah, so there is something going on. I knew it!"
You scowled, pushing your book aside. "There’s nothing going on," you repeated firmly, though your tone lacked the conviction you had hoped for.
Before she could push any further, you heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps behind you.
You turned just in time to see Ollie himself walking through the library doors, his usual grin plastered across his face as he waved at you.
“Hey, Browning,” he called out in his typical teasing tone, strolling up to your table. “You surviving this mind-numbing assignment?”
Your heart skipped a beat. It had only been a few minutes since you had been talking about him with Isla, and now here he was, acting like everything was perfectly normal.
You glared at him, but there was a strange warmth behind your annoyance.
“I was,” you said coolly, “until you interrupted me. What do you want?”
Ollie smirked, completely oblivious to your inner turmoil.
“Just thought I’d remind you that we’re meeting for the next part of our project later. Don’t forget. You know, it’s important to show up on time if you want to get the extra credit.”
You rolled your eyes, but something in his tone made you want to snap back with a witty retort.
"I won’t forget, Bearman. I’m not the one who’s too busy playing Quidditch to focus on anything else."
Ollie chuckled, clearly amused, and winked at you before turning to leave. "See you later, Browning. Try not to fall asleep on me, yeah?"
As soon as he was out of earshot, Isla grinned at you like a Cheshire cat. "Oh, it’s definitely happening."
You groaned and dropped your head onto your arms. “Can’t you just drop it already?”
Isla just laughed, her voice barely a whisper.
“I know you better than anyone, and something’s definitely changed. The way you two talk to each other? It’s not the same as before. Trust me, you’re not fooling anyone.”
The rest of the week seemed to drag on. You couldn’t shake the feeling that Ollie was always just a little too close—whether it was in the library, during classes, or even in the hallways after dinner.
It was as if your interactions with him were becoming less about the rivalry and more about something else entirely. Something confusing and... undeniably thrilling.
Then came the day when everything started to unravel.
You were heading to the Quidditch pitch with Isla after lunch when you ran into a couple of Ollie’s teammates, and much to your surprise, they didn’t give you the usual hostile treatment they reserved for Slytherins. Instead, they greeted you with an odd mixture of curiosity and amusement.
“Hey, Y/N,” one of them, Emma, said with a smile. “How’s the project going with Ollie? We’ve been hearing rumors that you two are getting along better than expected.”
You froze, unsure how to respond. Rumors?
“Yeah,” another teammate, Alex, chimed in. “It’s kind of hard to ignore how you two have been looking at each other lately. You two might actually make a decent team after all.”
Before you could stop yourself, your face flushed bright red, and Isla’s snicker didn’t help.
“What exactly are you all implying?” you demanded, though your voice trembled slightly.
Emma raised her hands in mock surrender. “Hey, no need to bite our heads off. We’re just saying, you two don’t hate each other as much as you used to. You’re practically friends now. Or whatever this is.”
You couldn’t meet their eyes as you quickly excused yourself, your mind racing with a mixture of confusion and embarrassment.
Were people really starting to notice? Were you actually starting to... like Ollie Bearman?
Isla shot you a knowing look as you walked away, and you knew you couldn’t hide the truth from her—or yourself—any longer.
Tumblr media
The days after the encounter with Ollie’s teammates were a blur. It felt like everyone in school had caught wind of the fact that you and Ollie were spending more time together.
Even though it wasn’t true that you two were “friends,” it was starting to feel like something was changing.
The constant teasing from Isla and your classmates was starting to wear on you, but what bothered you the most was how often Ollie seemed to pop into your thoughts when you weren’t expecting it.
You could handle Isla’s teasing. She was your friend, after all. But it was Ollie’s subtle hints, the small gestures that seemed almost too thoughtful, that kept you off-balance.
Like when he saved you a seat at the Gryffindor table during dinner because your houses table was full or when he offered you his notes after class, claiming he had taken "extra care" to write neatly because he knew you’d appreciate it.
But you didn’t need to think about it. You had a reputation to maintain, and Ollie Bearman wasn’t someone you needed to be distracted by.
Still, every time you crossed paths with him, you couldn’t help but feel that strange flutter in your chest.
One evening, as the hectic exam season drew to a close, you found yourself walking down the hall toward the Slytherin dungeons, your mind occupied with thoughts of an upcoming project.
You hadn’t expected to run into Ollie that night. The hallways were unusually quiet, the only sound being the faint echo of footsteps on stone. But then you saw him.
Ollie was leaning against the wall just outside the entrance of your common room, his eyes scanning the hall with a kind of distracted look.
When he noticed you, though, his face lit up, and that familiar grin appeared.
“Y/N,” he greeted casually, though there was something different in the way he said your name this time. More familiar, less teasing.
You paused for a second, almost instinctively pushing your hair behind your ear. “What are you doing here?”
“Waiting for you,” he replied without skipping a beat, his tone light but his eyes earnest.
“I was hoping we could talk.” You raised an eyebrow, skeptical but intrigued. “Talk? About what?”
“About... us, I guess,” Ollie said, shifting slightly as though trying to find the right words.
“You’ve been avoiding me lately despite us being partners, and I get it. We’re not exactly the best of friends, but... well, I’m starting to think there’s something here.”
Your breath caught in your throat. “Something here? What are you talking about?”
Ollie pushed off the wall and took a step closer. You felt your pulse quicken, but you weren’t sure if it was from irritation or something else entirely.
“I don’t know, Y/N,” he continued, the words spilling out more earnestly now.
“For the longest time, I thought you were just some Slytherin who hated everything I stood for—Quidditch, Gryffindor pride, all of it. But recently, I’ve started to see... I’ve started to see you differently.”
You opened your mouth to speak, but no words came out. Your mind raced. See you differently? What did that mean?
“I’ve been thinking about it a lot,” Ollie continued, his gaze not leaving yours.
“How we’ve spent all this time bickering, but when it comes down to it, you’re actually—” he paused, searching for the words “—you’re actually kind of incredible. You’re clever, driven, and... I don’t know, I can’t stop thinking about how you’re not like anyone I’ve ever met.”
You could feel your heart beating in your throat, but you weren’t ready to admit anything.
Not yet. Not with Ollie Bearman, of all people.
“You’re just saying that because you think I’ll help you pass the next exam, right?” you tried, your voice betraying more uncertainty than you wanted.
But Ollie shook his head, his expression serious now, and you could see the honesty in his eyes.
“No, that’s not it. This is... this is me. I don’t know when it happened, but somewhere along the way, I realized that I like being around you. I’m not saying it’s easy, but I think I’ve started to care about you in a way I didn’t expect.”
Your chest tightened. “Ollie...”
“I don’t know what this is, Y/N,” Ollie said, running a hand through his hair. “I just... I don’t want to pretend it’s not there anymore. I’m tired of pretending you’re just some annoying Slytherin I have to tolerate.”
You blinked, caught in the weight of his words. It felt like your world had shifted under your feet.
You had spent so much time hating him, convincing yourself that nothing could ever come of your rivalry. But now, standing in front of him, you realized how much of that was self-preservation.
How much of it was denial.
“Are you... saying what I think you’re saying?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
Ollie stepped closer, his voice low. “I don’t know what you think I’m saying, but I think I’m saying that I want to find out what could happen between us. If you’re willing to take the chance.”
The hallway felt suddenly smaller, the walls closing in on you as your thoughts collided with each other.
You wanted to resist. You wanted to shout at him and remind him that nothing could ever happen between a Gryffindor and a Slytherin. That your lives had always been dictated by competition, by rivalry.
But as you looked into Ollie’s eyes, the one thing that was undeniable was how real the emotion was in his gaze. How much he meant it.
“You’re serious, aren’t you?” you asked, finally breaking the silence.
“I am,” he said quietly, his eyes not leaving yours.
For a long moment, neither of you spoke. The tension hung heavy between you, neither of you daring to break the silence, yet somehow it felt like everything was finally coming into focus.
You took a deep breath, swallowing the uncertainty. Maybe it was time to let go of all the reasons you had built up to keep him at arm’s length. Maybe there was something worth exploring here after all.
“Alright,” you said finally, your voice steady despite the rapid beat of your heart. “I’m willing to see where this goes. But you have to understand something, Ollie. I’m not going to make this easy for you.”
Ollie grinned, his playful side creeping back into his expression. “Wouldn’t want it any other way.”
You took another breath, feeling the weight of the decision settle on your shoulders. But for the first time in weeks, you felt a strange sense of anticipation, a spark of something that had been there all along but was only now beginning to surface.
Tumblr media
Something had shifted since Ollie’s confession, and while nothing had officially been said about your “status,” there was a new air of familiarity between you.
He no longer teased you with the same sharp edges, and his glances felt warmer, less challenging.
You couldn’t deny it: there was something comforting about the way he had started treating you—not like an opponent, but like someone he genuinely cared about.
Still, the adjustment wasn’t easy for you.
Slytherins weren’t exactly known for public displays of affection, and Gryffindors like Ollie seemed to have no problem making their intentions known to the entire school.
Which was why, when Ollie showed up outside your Potions class one afternoon, leaning casually against the wall in his Quidditch robes, you nearly froze in your tracks.
“What are you doing here?” You hissed, keeping your voice low as your classmates filtered out of the classroom, all of them throwing curious looks your way.
Isla, walking beside you, stifled a laugh behind her hand.
“Waiting for you, obviously,” Ollie said with that signature grin of his. “I thought we could walk to lunch together.”
You glanced around nervously, painfully aware of how many eyes were on you.
“Ollie, this is a Slytherin corridor. You’re not exactly... welcome, here.”
“Good thing I’m not afraid of Slytherins,” he replied breezily. “Come on, Y/N, it’s just lunch.”
Isla shot you a knowing look. “Oh, I don’t mind. This is fascinating. Please, by all means, walk her to lunch, Gryffindor hero.”
You shot her a glare before turning back to Ollie. “Fine. But don’t expect this to become a habit.”
Ollie’s grin widened. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
As the two of you walked side by side through the bustling hallways, the whispers were impossible to ignore.
It wasn’t every day that the Gryffindor Quidditch captain was seen escorting the top Slytherin student through the castle.
You could feel your face heat up with every passing glance.
By the time you reached the Great Hall, you were ready to sprint to your table just to escape the scrutiny. But Ollie, completely unbothered, placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
“Relax, Y/N,” he said softly. “They’ll get over it.”
“You don’t get it,” you muttered, your voice barely audible. “People are going to talk. They’ll think I’ve gone soft. I’m not used to... this.”
Ollie stopped walking, turning to face you. His hazel eyes were calm, steady.
“Hey,” he said, his tone gentle. “I know this is new. I know it’s not easy for you. But you don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Not to your friends, not to your house, not to me. Just... be yourself. That’s all I want.”
You hesitated, his words sinking in. For someone so brash and confident, he had a way of making you feel seen in a way you hadn’t expected. Slowly, you nodded.
“Alright. But if anyone asks, I’m still your rival.”
Ollie chuckled. “Deal.”
At that moment, a familiar voice interrupted. “What’s this?”
You turned to see Arvid Lindblad and Kimi Antonelli approaching, both wearing amused expressions.
Arvid, a Hufflepuff with a mischievous streak, crossed his arms. “Bearman, are you seriously ditching us for your Slytherin rival?”
Kimi, a Ravenclaw whose sharp mind matched his dry sense of humor, raised an eyebrow. “This is... unexpected.”
Ollie grinned, throwing an arm around your shoulders with zero hesitation. “What can I say? She’s growing on me.”
You immediately ducked out from under his arm, your face burning. “Don’t push it, Bearman.”
Arvid burst out laughing. “Oh, this is great. I can’t wait to tell the rest of the team.”
“Don’t you dare,” Ollie warned, though he was still smiling.
From the Slytherin table, your friends, Isla and Hayley watched the scene unfold, their faces split into identical grins.
“You owe me five Galleons,” Hayley said smugly.
Isla groaned, fishing the coins out of her pocket. “Fine, but I still say she’s going to hex him eventually.”
By the time you and Ollie reached the Gryffindor table, you were convinced that everyone in the castle had seen you together. But as Ollie sat down beside you, his easy confidence never faltering, you realized something: you didn’t mind as much as you thought you would.
Maybe this wasn’t so bad after all.
Tumblr media
After a few months of seeing Ollie, the day of the highly anticipated Gryffindor vs. Slytherin Quidditch match arrived, and the castle buzzed with excitement.
The rivalry between the houses was infamous, and the stands were packed with students decked out in their respective house colors.
Green and silver banners clashed with scarlet and gold as chants echoed through the stadium.
You sat in the Slytherin stands, arms crossed, trying to ignore the pang of nerves bubbling in your chest.
Isla nudged you, smirking. “You know, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re rooting for Gryffindor today.”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” you snapped, though your eyes couldn’t help but wander to the field where Ollie was leading his team through warm-ups. His movements were precise, commanding, and frustratingly confident.
Focus, you told yourself. He’s your rival, and Gryffindor needs to lose.
As Madam Hooch blew the whistle, the match began in a frenzy of motion.
The Gryffindor Chasers darted through the air, their passes quick and seamless, but Slytherin’s Keeper was on form, blocking their shots with ease.
You found yourself gripping the edge of your seat, every play pulling you further into the match.
It wasn’t until halfway through the game that the tension really exploded.
Ollie, playing as Gryffindor’s Seeker, was locked in a tight race with the Slytherin Seeker, each of them diving after the Snitch.
The crowd roared as the two streaked through the sky, narrowly avoiding collisions with the other players.
“Come on, Ollie!” Arvid’s voice carried from the Hufflepuff stands, and you winced despite yourself. Don’t mess this up, you thought.
Then it happened. A Slytherin Beater sent a Bludger hurtling toward Ollie at a dangerous speed.
You watched in horror as he barely managed to dodge, his broom wobbling for a moment before he righted himself. But the distraction was enough—the Slytherin Seeker had gained the upper hand.
“No!” you gasped, earning a smirk from Isla.
“Interesting reaction for someone who’s supposed to be cheering for Slytherin,” she teased.
You scowled, but before you could reply, the Snitch was spotted again. This time, Ollie was faster.
He leaned forward on his broom, the determination on his face clear even from your spot in the stands.
The Slytherin Seeker was close behind, but Ollie’s outstretched hand closed around the Snitch just seconds before they collided.
The stadium erupted in cheers and groans.
Gryffindor had won.
As the teams landed, the Gryffindor players rushed to Ollie, lifting him onto their shoulders in celebration.
You stayed seated, watching as he grinned and held the Snitch aloft. The sight filled you with equal parts annoyance and something you couldn’t quite name.
When the crowd began to disperse, you made your way back toward the castle, hoping to avoid the inevitable gloating. But before you could slip away, a familiar voice called out behind you.
“Y/N! Wait up!”
You turned to see Ollie jogging toward you, still in his Quidditch robes and looking infuriatingly triumphant.
“What do you want, Bearman?” You asked, crossing your arms.
“To talk,” he said, falling into step beside you. “You don’t look too happy for someone who just witnessed an incredible game.”
“Why would I be happy? My house lost,” you pointed out, though your tone lacked its usual bite.
Ollie smirked. “Come on, I saw you watching me. You can admit it—I was pretty impressive out there.”
“You were reckless,” you shot back, narrowing your eyes. “That Bludger nearly took you out.”
He shrugged. “Part of the game. Besides, I knew you’d be worried about me.”
“I wasn’t worried about you,” you lied, your cheeks heating up.
Ollie stopped walking, turning to face you with that annoyingly confident smile. “You’re a terrible liar, Y/N.”
You opened your mouth to retort, but his expression softened, and he stepped closer.
“Look, I know this whole... thing between us is new. And I know you’re still figuring it out. But for what it’s worth, having you there today? It meant something. Even if you were secretly hoping I’d lose.”
You hesitated, the sincerity in his voice catching you off guard.
“I wasn’t hoping you’d lose,” you admitted quietly. “I just... didn’t want to see you get hurt.”
A flicker of surprise crossed his face before it melted into a warm smile. “See? You do care.”
“Don’t push it, Bearman,” you muttered, though you couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips.
Ollie grinned, falling back into step beside you. “Alright, I won’t. For now.”
As the two of you walked toward the castle, the tension of the match faded into the background, replaced by something softer, something that felt almost... natural. And though you wouldn’t admit it out loud, you were starting to think that maybe, just maybe, you didn’t mind having Ollie Bearman by your side.
Tumblr media
Epilogue:
The days when you and Ollie were sworn rivals felt like a lifetime ago, though the memory of your endless bickering still brought a smirk to your face.
Somehow, against all odds, you’d gone from exchanging biting remarks in the hallways to sharing late-night conversations by the fire.
It wasn’t a change you’d ever expected—or even wanted—but it was one you couldn’t imagine undoing.
Your dynamic hadn’t exactly mellowed.
You were still Y/N Browning, Slytherin’s top student, sharp-tongued and fiercely independent. And Ollie was still Ollie Bearman, Gryffindor’s golden boy with that infuriatingly confident grin.
The difference now was that the teasing carried a warmth it never had before, and the rivalry had softened into something that only strengthened your bond.
Take today, for example.
The castle was buzzing with activity as students bustled through the corridors, preparing for their final exams.
You were perched at a table in the library, surrounded by stacks of books and meticulously written notes.
The air smelled faintly of parchment and ink, a comforting sort of chaos that you thrived in.
“Still studying?” Ollie’s voice broke through the quiet, his tone laced with mock exasperation.
You glanced up to see him leaning against a nearby bookshelf, his Gryffindor scarf askew and his hair as messy as ever.
“What does it look like, Bearman?” you quipped, returning your attention to your notes. “Not all of us can wing it and still pass.”
“Hey, I don’t wing it,” he said, pulling out a chair and sitting across from you. “I’m just naturally brilliant.”
You rolled your eyes, though a small smile tugged at your lips. “You’re naturally lucky, which is not the same thing.”
“And you’re naturally stubborn,” he countered, reaching across the table to pluck one of your notes from the pile. “Come on, Y/N. Take a break. You’ve been at this for hours.”
“I can’t afford to take a break,” you said firmly, snatching the note back. “Unlike you, I have standards to maintain.”
Ollie chuckled, leaning back in his chair. “I know. That’s one of the things I like about you. But you’re allowed to breathe, you know. Even Slytherin’s top student can take fifteen minutes to eat a chocolate frog.”
You sighed, finally setting your quill down and meeting his gaze.
His hazel eyes were steady, the teasing light in them replaced with something softer. You hated how easily he could do that—disarm you with a look.
“Fine,” you relented. “Fifteen minutes. But if my grades suffer, I’m blaming you.”
“I’ll take the risk,” he said with a grin, pulling a small package from his bag and sliding it across the table. It was a chocolate frog, just as he’d promised.
You took it reluctantly, your lips twitching upward despite yourself. “You’re insufferable, you know that?”
“I’ve been told,” he said, resting his chin in his hand as he watched you open the wrapper.
Moments like these had become your new normal. He knew when to push and when to step back, and you were learning to let your guard down—at least for him.
You were still fiercely independent, still determined to prove yourself to the world. But with Ollie, you didn’t feel the need to constantly defend your place.
He saw you, respected you, and never tried to change you.
It wasn’t always easy. There were still moments when you snapped at him or bristled at his easygoing nature, and there were times when his relentless optimism made you want to scream. But somehow, those differences only made your connection stronger.
He challenged you in a way no one else could, and you liked to think you kept him grounded.
Your friends had grown used to the sight of you two together, though the teasing hadn’t stopped.
Isla called him your “Gryffindor puppy,” and Arvid had taken to mimicking Ollie’s voice whenever you defended him.
Even Kimi, with his usual deadpan humor, had joked about how the universe might implode from the sheer improbability of your relationship.
But you didn’t mind. Because at the end of the day, when the library emptied and the castle grew quiet, it was Ollie who walked you back to the Slytherin common room.
It was Ollie who stayed up with you during late-night study sessions, bringing snacks and pretending to care about your advanced Arithmancy notes.
It was Ollie who, somehow, had become the one person you didn’t mind letting in. And as you sat across from him now, watching him steal one of your notes and grin when you scolded him, you realized something important.
You hadn’t changed for Ollie Bearman. You were still yourself—strong, driven, and fiercely Slytherin.
But you had softened for him, in a way that felt like growing rather than shrinking. And for once, you didn’t mind letting someone see the cracks in your armor.
“Alright, Bearman,” you said, leaning back in your chair and crossing your arms. “You win. I’ll take a break.”
Ollie’s grin widened. “Finally. I thought I’d have to resort to drastic measures.”
“Don’t get used to it,” you warned, though your voice was lighter now.
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” he said, his gaze warm.
And just like that, the world felt a little brighter.

arthur_leclerc i’ve let this go on long enough and now she’s gotten hurt. i have no words to express how disappointed i am of everyone who has ever said anything against y/n for no reason other than she is with me. she has done nothing to deserve the bullying she gets and yet she does nothing to any of you.
any hate i see about her will be automatically blocked. i would rather have no fans at all than have fans who can’t respect the woman i intend to spend my life with.
and if anyone do anything to her physically, i will retaliate worse than i did today. this is a warning.
and to @yourusername i’ve failed you, baby. i sat back and watch everyone bully you telling you to just ignore it all and you didn’t deserve that. i will spend the rest of my life making up to you.

Lee-Lee's Pizzeria Menu
Thin crust brothers best friend Red sauce rough sex jalapenos always such a fucking brat onions I saw you being a little slut dr pepper dirty talk dessert yes
TW - rough sex, cumming on body, getting caught, angry sex, fighting, accused of cheating.
WC 1800+
AN - Okay so I got two Anon at roughly the same time with slight differences but I think they are from the same person so I combined them together. The other one asked for the same things minus the Dr. Pepper and Ollie Bearman so I went with him.
Y/N POV
"Get back here," Ollie seethed through clenched teeth making he turn around slightly to make eye contact with him.
"Oliver leave me alone. I'm going to Kimi's room. I just need some air," I tell Ollie softly knowing we had been fighting for the past hour just going in circles neither of us being willing to apologize.
"So you're just going to walk out in the middle of this conversation," Ollie deadpans making me cross my arms across my chest growing tired of this fight.
"Ollie, I love you to death, but we are getting nowhere. We've been running in circles for the past hour. I'm surprised we haven't gotten a noise complaint or had a Prema member come knock on the door. I'm gonna go to Kimi's room for an hour. Let's both clear our heads and we'll have a conversation when I get back," I tell him softly before turning on my foot and making my way out of the Baku hotel room before going a few doors down to my little brothers room.
I invited myself into his room using the key he had given me. When I step into the hotel room I'm shocked to find Kimi sitting in bed on his phone talking to our mom. When he looks up and catches my eye he raises a brow making me shake my head knowing I didn't wanna talk about Ollie and I's fight in front of our mom.
I'm next to Kimi talking to our mom about our travels when a soft knock rang through the room making me roll my eyes knowing it was Ollie not having the patience to wait.
"Olive- Oh hi Dino," I awkwardly shift when I whip open the door getting ready to snap at Ollie but finding a confused Dino.
"Are you okay?" Dino asks softly making me roll my eyes and groan not wanting to mention the petty fight.
"It's nothing," I tell Dino stepping out of the door frame to let Dino in. When I go to close the door I find Ollie's head peaking out from our hotel room where he raises his brow at Dino coming into the room making me shake my head and close the door before going back into the room to say bye to our mom.
"Why are you here?" Kimi asks turning his attention to Dino when he hangs up the phone with our mom.
"No reason in particular, Arvid is busy so I thought I'd bug you," Dino says shrugging before plopping himself onto the couch. Kimi just shrugs his shoulders not really shocked.
"You're not gonna ask why I'm here," I scoff jokingly making Kimi look at me with the straightest face possible.
"I heard you and Ollie going at each other's throats when I came back from the Prema garage. So I'm assuming you just needed space," Kimi says seriously making Dino look at me in shock. Ollie and I have never been a couple to fight so I can see how it was shocking for Dino.
I sit on my phone while the boys talk before telling them bye and making my way back into Ollie and I's shared room.
"Awe my favorite whore is back," Ollie says the second I open the door making me stop dead in my tracks. I debate on just leaving again given Ollie hasn't calmed down in the slightest and now I'm pissed all over again.
"Come again?" I question hoping some sense hits Ollie dead in the face.
"Oh don't be dense I saw you being a little slut. You said you were going to Kimi's room to clear your head, not to hang out with Dino," Ollie says making everything click. He thought I was alone in Kimi's room before inviting Dino in. Kimi and Ollie always said hi once they got back from the garage but Kimi didn't stop in today because he had heard us fighting.
"Whatever you think happened didn't," I tell Ollie softly realizing this could be bad.
"Are you sure? Cause from my end you left to clear your head in you brother's room which happens to be empty and then a few minutes later I hear the door down the hall open and what do you know it's you happily invited Dino in," Ollie says letting his voice grow loud with each word.
"Kimi is back," I tell him softly. Ollie just rolls his eyes before making a few strides towards me before he pushes me against the wall.
"I'm supposed to believe that?" Ollie scoffs not believing the truth.
"Yes, I would never do anything like that," I tell him before Ollie rolls his eyes and leans down before crashing his lips onto mine.
"I guess I have to show you who you belong to," Ollie tells me with venom in his voice before he grips me in the back of the head and drags me to the bed where he roughly pushes me onto the bed.
When he climbed into bed he discarded his shirt before working on my clothes next. When I'm left completely bare Ollie instantly starts trailing his kisses from my lips down to my neck where he leaves a faint hickey before whispering, "Mine."
Ollie finally settles on my tits before taking a few nips at my nipples making sure I can feel his teeth but not hard enough for me to complain about it.
"Ollie please," I beg trying to grind my hips up into Ollie's crotch trying to gain friction but Ollie has other ideas cause he pushes me back down telling me to behave.
"Who made you this wet?" Ollie asks when he comes face to face with my soaked pussy. What? I can't help but love when Ollie gets like this. It was rare, but oh so good when it happened.
"You, Ollie please," I whine needing some kind of stimulation.
"Are you sure," Ollie asks with a raised brow making me throw his a serious face before nodding.
"Yes, I'm all yours Ollie. Always yours," I tell him softly making him hum in satisfaction.
When Ollie starts leaving wet kisses all over my thighs I can feel my clit start to throb before he finally moves his mouth towards my pussy when he trails his tongue from my hole to my clit collecting as much as my pussy juice before he moans softly just from tasting me.
When Ollie pulls my clit into his mouth I instantly become a moaning mess under him.
"So good," I moan which instantly grew louder when he slips two of his long fingers into my pussy making sure to hit my G-spot with each thrust.
"Oh fuck," I moan becoming quickly overwhelmed with all the pleasure coursing through my body.
"Ollie, I'm close," I moan softly stuttering from the intense pleasure.
"Hold it," Ollie groans into my pussy not letting up his movements only bringing me closer to the edge.
"I can't," I whine when I feel myself oh so close to the edge.
It was inevitable, but the second the words left my mouth I started cumming all over Ollie's fingers and tongue.
"God, you never listen. Always such a fucking brat," Ollies says after helping me ride my orgasm out. When he pulled away he sent a firm slap down right on my pussy making me whine and try to close my legs not wanting another one.
"Keep your legs open," Ollie says while standing up from the bed. I watch him closely as he starts to strip his jeans and briefs making my mouth water slightly.
When Ollie climbs back into the bed he almost instantly slips his cock right into my pussy making me gasp at the intrusion.
"Ollie, fuck," I moan, making Ollie groan feeling my pussy clench tightly around his thick cock.
"So big, baby," I whine while feeling Ollie start to thrust into my pussy.
"God, you're so fucking tight," Ollie groans leaning his face down into my neck to give it a soft nip.
"Ollie," I gasp out when I feel Ollie bring his hand down to my clit to bring me more pleasure.
"I can feel you clenching me on my cock baby. Does Dino make you feel this good?" Ollie spits out making me whine.
"Ollie, you know damn well I didn't fuck him," I stutter back still overwhelmed with pleasure.
"And for the love of God don't bring up another man while you fuck me this good," I snap at him making him chuckle softly before he double downs and starts fucking me even harder.
"I'm gonna cum," I announce before I start cumming all over Ollie's cock again. Cumming around Ollie's cock triggered Ollie to pull out and starts cumming ropes of his hot cum all over my tummy. Once he's done painting my body he slowly climbs out of the bed getting a rag to clean me up.
"I love you," Ollie whispers once he climbs into bed and pulls me into his chest.
"I love you too, but Ollie you need to listen before jumping to conclusions," I reply back softly while stroking his cheek.
"I know, I was just upset after quali and I know it's no excuse but then I saw you letting Dino in and it just broke my heart," Ollie tells me softly making me cuddle into his side more trying to resolve the issue.
"I promise Kimi was in the room. He said he heard us fighting so Im assuming that's why he didn't stop in and say hi," I tell him softly while tracing my fingers around his toned chest.
"Oh my God, you mean to tell me Kimi heard me yelling at his sister? I'm a fucking dead man walking," Ollie groans making me laugh.
"I'm sure if he felt like you would hurt me he would have come in, He has a key," I tell Ollie softly and as soon as the words leave my mouth our hotel door is opened by none other than my brother with a key.
"OH MY GOD," Kimi yells shielding his eyes as if Ollie and I weren't covered by a blanket.
"Don't be dramatic Adrea Kimi, what the fuck to you want," I ask pulling the blanket even further up my body feeling awkward.
"I just wanted to know if you guys wanted to come to dinner with Dino and I but I don't think I can sit through a dinner knowing you guys just did THAT," Kimi says making Ollie and I both chuckle softly.
"I don't think Ollie needs to be near Dino right now," I joke softly making Ollie shove me laughing along with me.
"We'll pass but tomorrow after the Grand Prix wanna grab dinner together?" Ollie says making plans with Kimi and Dino for us.
When Kimi leaves the room I can hear him announce loudly exactly what Ollie and I were doing. I can only hope it was just Dino in the hallway.
"I'm sorry if I overreacted," Ollie says softly placing a kiss on my forehead.
"It's okay, especially if you fuck me like that when it happens," I tease making Ollie grow red.

Y/N wasn't even sure how she had managed it, but she had graduated. Her time at secondary school had been rather confusing and tough, balancing classes with karting competitions and training sessions was no easy task, and even there were several times she thought she wouldn't make it.
But now secondary school was over and she could dedicate herself entirely to her career in motorsport. The future looked really bright for her, with several championships won, sponsors, and her pretty boyfriend who hadn't been able to make it to her graduation. Although the latter wasn't entirely bright.
Ollie and she had met at that same secondary school two years earlier. They had to do a project together and, eventually, they ended up meeting on the karting tracks, so what started as a simple friendship unfolded into a lovely relationship.
They spent a lot of time together, studying and attending each other's races. Ollie was much more advanced in the sport than she was, practically having his path to F2 carved out, and that also took a lot of his study time so usually, he performed worse in subjects than she did. So in mid-March of that year, he dropped out of school.
This made the relationship between Ollie and Y/N a bit complicated, but surprisingly they overcame the distance in a great way. He went to London whenever he could, and she accompanied him to races as they used to do before. They even managed to go to the prom together and have a lovely evening.
Y/N was aware of the fame her boyfriend had gained in a short time and he had thought it best to keep their relationship private from the media. Y/N didn't mind this part too much, but it was impossible not to think that Ollie hadn't come to see her at her graduation because there would be quite a few people taking photos.
Tumblr media
Y/N emerged from her room wearing the pink dress she and Ollie had picked out for graduation. He had himself told her it looked so good on her that he didn't know if he'd kill or die for that dress.
She descended the stairs, finding her mother and brother eagerly awaiting her exit. "Oh my goodness, Y/N," her mother said, heading towards her the moment she saw her. "You look beautiful." Her mother glanced at her brother sternly, encouraging him to say something.
"Yeah, you look alright," he spoke, lips pressed together.
YN rolled her eyes and hugged her mother. Her phone rang, and she hurried to see who it was, which left Y/N feeling quite puzzled, especially seeing her mother's wide smile.
"Let's take a picture," her mother nodded, under her brother's grimace.
The two posed with weak smiles because Y/N looked amazing, while her brother remained in his pyjamas. Although it was Y/N who had the weakest smile; she had been feeling her boyfriend's absence all morning.
Ollie had been there for many of her most special moments; when she won her first karting championship, when she got her driver's license, when she passed that subject that had been so difficult for her… His absence at her graduation felt wrong.
Someone rang the doorbell at that exact moment. Y/N frowned and looked at her mother and then her brother, wondering who was missing.
"Why don't you open it, darling?" her mother commented from the kitchen, hiding her excited smile.
YN knew something was about to happen because even her brother sat on the sofa, waiting for her to open the door.
Upon opening it, she was met with a bouquet of tulips larger than her upper body. She gasped, bringing her hands to her face. Then a little head peeked out from the top of the bouquet. "Hi,"
YN stifled a scream, which turned into a giggle, and went into the arms of her boyfriend, who lifted her slightly off the ground as he kissed her, not caring that his face got smeared with her red lipstick. YN took the bouquet, still speechless. They closed the door behind them, and she pointed at her mother instantly.
"You knew,"
"Well, of course," her mother said, with a proud smile.
YN let out a laugh of complete happiness; she was smiling so much that her cheeks started to hurt.
"It was Ollie's idea," her brother pointed out.
"You knew too?"
Everyone laughed, and then her mother and brother left them alone for a few moments so they could talk quietly. They kissed a couple more times until Ollie asked her, "You didn't know?"
YN smiled slightly. "I found out a couple of days ago; my mother isn't very discreet with her calls," Ollie laughed, resting his head on YN's shoulder. "But I'm thrilled you're here,"
"And I am too," he raised his gaze instantly. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."
YN pursed her lips slightly. "For a moment, I thought you wouldn't come. Because of all the photos and stuff,"
Ollie pulled away from her a bit, frowning.
"Why would I care about that?"
"You know, because of the private relationship thing," YN nervously bit her lip.
Ollie smiled softly, and kissed her gently on the nose. "I only told you that because at races, it's not cool to have cameras everywhere trying to take pictures of you. Some drivers told me it was a good idea,"
"Ollie, I don't care about that. I just want to show off my boyfriend at my graduation," she shrugged, cradling Ollie's face in her hands.
"I love that," Ollie pulled her back towards him, kissing her for a few seconds.
"Also, with all that fame you say you have, you could make me some promotion,"
"You cheeky…"
YN cut him off with a kiss. "I love you,"
"I love you more, baby,"

Your legs were beginning to ache with how much movement you were making. Nearly tripping over your own two feet as you spun in circles, even your head was beginning to ache with how much you were spinning.
God dammit.
The campus map was held up in front of your face, studying it carefully. Your face was contorted, looking like you were reading some sort of hieroglyphics.
Thats when he spotted you, his lip curling in amusement. You weren’t a face he’d recognized—not that he’d have recognized you even if he saw you a dozen times, he rarely talked to people on campus.
But, you were clearly distraught and.. well, cute.
So, gradually setting one foot in front of the other, he passed the couple dozen feet in your direction. “Hey,” He said lightly, careful not to scare you.
Your head twisted around, searching for the soft voice before your eyes landed on the face. Breath hitching in your throat, you nearly gasped. He had gorgeous tan skin and short black hair.
“You know, if you stare at it long enough, it might talk back.” He held a small, teasing grin as he spoke.
“Oh—“ You stammer out, heart beating quickly in your chest. “I, uh, I was studying it?” The questioning twinge to your tone elicited a small laugh from the stranger. The sound sending a wave of blood to your cheeks.
The raven haired boy tilted his head to the side, amusement flickering across his eyes. “Studying it? You’re acting like it’s an exam you forgot to study for.”
Right. So he was quick witted and cute. Got it.
Rolling your eyes at his joke, you fold the paper in half and glance around at the campus buildings. “Okay, fine.” You let out a defeated breath, “I am lost. Happy now? Please tell me the rest of campus isn’t as confusing as this part is?”
Unfortunately, he shakes his head. “Yeah, I wish I could put your concerns to rest.. but, they built this place like they were on shrooms and had a pen and a dream.”
That, well—you let out an undignified snort. Your mouth formed a wide toothy smile. Seeing your reaction, his face lit up too.
“Okay, well, thank you for the comforting words! I appreciate it.” You finally get out through a breathy laugh.
Shrugging it off, he gives you a lopsided smile. “My pleasure. So, where are you trying to get to..” He trails off, silently searching for a name.
“I’ve got to get to Mr.Garcia’s for biology.” You explain, then, you tell him your name, trailing off the same as he did.
“Ah! Right, Pepe.” He hums, then, he smiles. A genuine, eye squinting, smile. “And, I am going in the same exact direction.. Let me walk you?”
Your eyebrows lift, “are you sure? I wouldn’t want you to be late.” Slightly concerned flickers in your expression, and Pepe quickly waves it away.
“Oh! No, no. By ‘same direction’, I meant same class.” He rubs the back of his neck, head dropping as he chuckles, “I should’ve just said that in the first place.”
“You’re not going to bring me to a secluded location and murder me right?”
“Wha—Wait what?”
“Well?”
“No? No, I’m not going to murder you.”
Crumpling up the paper guid, you find the nearest trash can a few feet away. Turning on your heels to face him, you clap your hands together. “Great! Then lets go?”
“Look at this, I’m already growing on you.” He puffs his chest proudly, watching you walk towards him.
“Yeah like a fungus.”
“I’ve been called worse.” Pepe, shrugs. He waits till your by his side to begin walking. “The building is literally straight ahead, two buildings down.” He speaks up, looking down at you.
Your head snaps up, eyes widening. “Are you fucking joking? I’ve been looking at that damn map for fifteen minutes and it was right there?” Squinting in the direction of the hall, you nearly scoff.
Pepes hand slaps over his heart, his face twisting into one of hurt. “I would never joke about this. I take my duties helping freshman quite seriously.”
Your eyes flicker across his face, eyebrows quirking upwards. “So, do you meet many helpless women this way? Or, am I just special.” You were teasing, but also very curious. You knew very well how college men could be.
Shaking his head like he was offended you’d even suggest that, he frowns. “I’m hurt you’d even suggest that. And for your information, you are special. I’ve never seen someone look so.. determinedly defeated.”
“Oh, so you’re full of jokes is that it?” You laugh, head shaking at how quickly he came up with these stupid come backs.
To be honest, you quite enjoyed it. He was outgoing, has personality, and he was assuring you wouldn’t be late to your first class of the semester.
“I pride myself on my humor as well.” He nods assuredly, taking the first step up the many steps that were to come.
Why do colleges demand on having so many stairs just to get to one place?
“Ever heard of the word humility?” You quip, “you should look into it.”
Pepes eyes light up, “ah, so now you’re full of jokes, too?”
“Yeah, yeah.” You chuckle, gripping the straps of your backpack tightly the further you walked.
Once at the top, he leads you to the door, opening it like a proper gentleman. “So, you new to Barcelona or?”
“No, just switching colleges. Better options here.” You hum, walking through the door.
Going in after you, he continues walking down the hall beside you. “Do you have any friends here yet?” He asks nonchalantly—though, he had a purpose.
“A few, but not many.” You sigh, “are you offering or just finding something to tease me over?” Your gaze drifted back up to him, which you’d founded harder and harder to do the more time passed—your cheeks always seemed to flush.
“I’m offering my camaraderie, clearly those eyes of yours aren’t keen to understanding maps.” He meets your eyes, flashing a quick smile, with only a smidge of hinting behind it.
Words seem to fail you as you struggle to find words. You run out of time, because Pepe was stopping in front of a door. “We’re here.”
“Sorry! Yes, uh, I would love your camaraderie.” You clear your throat and reach for the door handle—only stopping when tan fingers wrap around your wrist.
The simple touch has your skin heating up. Eyes locking on his, you blink. “Uh..”
“We should exchange numbers first.”
Right. Riiiight.
“Right! Well, how about after class? We’re three minutes away from being late.” You nudge your head in the direction of your apple watch, which was lit up with the time; 8:57 AM.
Pepe blinks for a second, then drops his hand from your wrist. “Of course. Sit together then? That way we don’t lose each other in the after class rush.” Excuses. Excuses to be near you, more so than it was a practical move.
Your mouth slowly forms into a grin. “Yeah, sounds good to me.” And with that, you pull open the door and Pepe follows behind with a smug smile.

Charles' eyes widened in horror as you shoved the phone into his hands. There, in big bold letters, was a headline about him and his mystery wife. And underneath, a picture of the two of you at the wedding chapel. "What - how..." He was at a loss for words, disbelief and frustration in his eyes as he stared down at the article.
Explain this! Why the hell is there an article about us? You yell in frustration. There's no way this is actually happening right now
Charles looked up from the phone, his eyes meeting yours. He let out a defeated sight, running a hand through his hair as he reluctantly answered your question. “I'm a F1 driver, For Ferrari. I’m pretty well known i guess” His voice was low, sheepish. He was still having a hard time comprehending the whole situation. The fact that the marriage was all over gossip pages was just another level of insane. “Great, this is exactly what i needed in my life” you say sarcastically, sitting back down on the couch. Your eyes drift over to your friend “Did you know that?” Charles was silent as he listened to your conversation. “No, I had no idea. I just thought he was another guy at the club” She shoots Charles an apologetic smile as he returns the phone to her. “Crap, I have to head back home” Riley exclaimed as she stands up looking over at the clock “I'm going to assume your lovely husband doesn't want to taint his reputation any more than he already has so i'll trust leaving you with him” You nod in agreement “it's fine Ry, i'll text you later” You say kissing her cheek goodbye.
After Riley leaves, Charles and you are left alone, once again in uncomfortable silence. He looks over at you, his expression still somewhat stunned as he tries to process everything. His eyes linger on you for a moment before he finally speaks up “I'm sorry” he sounds ashamed and genuine, if both of you would have been mindful of how many drinks you were consuming none of this would be happening. “It's not entirely your fault Charles” you respond, giving him a soft smile. Charles was about to speak, but his phone ringing interrupted him. He picks up his phone, looking at the caller ID and lets out a sigh. It was his mom. This was gonna be a nightmare. He answers the call, sounding nervous. “Hey mom” You watch as he steps back into the bedroom.
After a long conversation with his mother Charles disconnects the call. He walked back out to the living room standing  a few feet away from the couch you're sitting on. As he looked at you his eyes seemed remorseful “So…” He took a deep breath before continuing. “She wants us to come to monaco” Your eyes widen as you sit up straight, “what? There's no way I'm going to Monaco with you! What did you say to her?”
Charles ran a hand through his hair, his expression sheepish. “I didn’t exactly have much of a choice” he said  “She kept asking questions about us and saying how the family wanted to meet my ‘new wife’. He used air quotes as he said the words, clearly less than enthusiastic about the situation. “I couldn't tell her the truth so i said we’ve been dating in secret for a while, and we decided to get married yesterday” He walked towards the couch and sat down next to you, his knees bouncing nervously. You say nothing as you're lost in your thoughts. If you agreed to marry him you could definitely agree to meeting his family. Plus how would you go back home and explain this to your mom “Fine i’ll go to monaco with you” He lets out an almost inaudible sigh of relief, a bit surprised that you relented and agreed to come to Monaco with him. A small wave of guilt passed over him as he thought of what he had gotten you involved in. “Thank you, I didn’t expect you to say yes. I’ll uh...have my assistant book a flight for us and arrange everything.” He tries to sound confident despite his anxiety. This whole thing was absurd. He was taking the woman he got drunk-married to meet his family. “Of course you have an assistant," you say in a teasing tone.
Charles chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck as you commented on the assistant. “Yeah, it’s part of the whole F1 driver gig.” He didn’t want to come across as bragging or anything, he just figured it was something he should mention. “So, we should get going as soon as possible.” you nod your head in agreement. “I just need to go back to my hotel and pack my things” you say standing up from the couch. Charles nods in agreement. “Right, yeah. Should I… drive you back to your hotel? Or something?”  He cringed internally as he asked the question. He felt like he should at least make sure you get back to your hotel safely, since you were kind of in this mess together. Not to mention the paparazzi were bound to show up eventually.”I would actually like some time to myself” you say softly, hoping he doesn't take offense. “But I'll take your number and meet you at the airport," you follow up with a smile. "Yeah, no that's totally fair" Charles said, his mood slightly deflated. He couldn't blame you for wanting time alone to think, he was sure you had a million thoughts racing through your head just like he did. He pulled out his phone, and you quickly typed your number into the device handing it back. "I'll text you the flight details and my assistant will take care of everything else. See you at the airport then."
———————————————————————————
You get into the uber and give him your hotel address. Finally you're alone, your thoughts running through your head as you make the short drive. The whole situation still felt surreal, and now you were going to Monaco with your husband who you barely even know. What are you going to tell your mom and friends back home? Your phone was already flooded with messages from people asking you questions and fans finding your social media accounts. You really hope this won't go as far as to affect your job, there's no way you would be able to handle that. This  was like a bad rom-com.
You opened your phone ignoring every notification, especially your moms missed calls. You went to Google and typed in “Charles Leclerc”. You scrolled past the articles written about both of you and focused on the other stuff. He was pretty successful. Having won multiple races, even his home grand prix. Okay well at least you didn't marry the worst person on planet earth, and the more you thought about him you noticed he was extremely cute. Maybe this wasn't as bad as you thought. You did always admire the Soccer WAGS, now you were one according to the public, you just belonged to a different sport.
No! What? You seriously can't be thinking that. This WAS bad and horrible, think about all the backlash you will receive when this whole thing is over and you have to divorce Charles. As you pull into the parking lot, your eyes glance around paranoid as if you’re expecting paparazzi to pop out of every corner.
Once inside your room, you plop down onto the bed, letting out a deep sigh of exhaustion. It had been a long and chaotic day. You let your mind wander for a moment, trying to come to terms with the fact that you were technically married to one of the most popular Formula One drivers. After a few moments, you sit up on the bed and look around the room. You knew you needed to start packing for the trip to Monaco, but instead you just sat there, feeling a sort of numbness wash over you as you stared at the wall across from you. Your phone interrupts this moment, you sigh and reach for it. It was a message from Charles with all the flight information for tonight. You reply with a thumbs up and lay back down on the bed. Eventually, you force yourself off the bed and start pulling clothes out of the drawers and changing into something more casual while shoving them into a suitcase. You felt a mix of emotions as you packed, curiosity, anxiety, disbelief, confusion. It all felt like a bizarre dream, but you knew it was very much real.
As you finish packing your things, your eyes glance over to the clock on the bedside table. It was getting close to the time you agreed to meet Charles at the airport. With another deep sigh, you picked up your suitcase, called another uber and headed out the door. The drive to the airport was uneventful, but your mind was anything but calm. You thought about all the possibilities of what could happen when you arrived in Monaco. Would the paparazzi be able to find out which flight you were on? Would Charles’s family think you were some type of gold digger? This was all too much.
———————————————————————————
When you finally arrived at the airport, you took a deep breath and looked around the terminal. You spotted Charles off to the side, looking surprisingly calm despite the circumstances. He had a few bags by his feet and as soon as he saw you, he gave a small wave and a tentative smile. Charles walked over to meet you, his eyes studying your face for a moment. "Hey" he said softly, a hint of anxiety in his voice. "Are you ready for this?". “Not really but here I am” you say, accompanying your response with a sigh. Charles let out a soft chuckle at your honest answer, appreciating your candid response. "Yeah, neither am I, honestly" he replied
He picked up his bags and motioned towards the check-in counter, signaling that it was time to get going. The two of you checked in and made your way to security, standing in line with the other passengers. Charles seemed lost in thought, his eyes wandering to the crowd of people passing by. He dreaded the thought of someone recognizing him and causing a scene before you could even make it to the gate. As the line slowly moved forward, Charles turned to you, trying to hide his tension. "Have you flown first class before?" he asked, trying to make conversation to pass the time. You nod “I have actually” "Ah, okay. Good" he replied, his voice slightly strained. He was silently hoping that the flight would go by quickly so he could get everything over with.
Charles and you boarded the plane, taking your seats in the first-class section. Charles let out a small sigh of relief as he settled into his seat, grateful for the extra leg room and the privacy of the small space. The cabin was half full, most of the passengers already occupied with their own things as the plane prepared for takeoff. Charles looked at you and attempted a small smile. "You said you've been to Monaco before, were you just traveling or..?". “Yeah just traveling” you respond, sounding hesitant. Charles raised an eyebrow at your hesitancy, noticing that there was more to the story than you were letting on. "Just traveling?" he repeated, sounding interested. "Nothing else?" He leaned in a bit, curious to know more. The plane started moving down the runway, gearing up for take-off. “Yes Charlie, just traveling” You say, sounding annoyed. Realizing you called him Charlie made you quickly apologize “Sorry I didn't mean to”. Charles’s eyes widened as the nickname rolled out your tongue, not expecting the casual use of a nickname. For a moment, he was surprised and a bit flustered by the unexpected familiarity. But he quickly composed himself, masking any surprise with a small smile. "It's...it's fine. I don't mind, '' he said, although his cheeks tinged red. “Anyways, you told your mom we've been dating in secret for a while, right?” Charles looked at you for a moment, a hint of shyness in his eyes. "Uh, yeah, I did," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I didn't want to say that we just randomly got married, so I lied" you watched him talk, focusing on his words before speaking. “We should probably come up with a story so nothing seems suspicious when they start asking questions” Charles nodded in agreement, realizing that the two of you did need to get your stories straight to avoid any suspicion from his family. "Right, good point." he said, his mind racing to come up with a believable story that would convince his family. "We should probably keep the details simple though, don't want to dig ourselves into a hole or anything" “any ideas?” you ask.
Charles thought for a moment, tapping his fingers absently on the arm rest. "Well, we could say we met through a mutual friend. Or maybe something more spontaneous...like a meeting at a coffee shop" He glanced over at you, searching for your reaction to his idea. “Mutual friend sounds more convincing, we can even say you asked me out after I showed up at one of your races” Charles nodded, visibly pleased with your addition to the backstory. "That could work. It would explain why the family hasn’t met you before, since we’ve been keeping the relationship lowkey" he said, taking note of the cover up story in his mind. “Right, we didn't want the media finding out so we couldn't risk telling anyone” you add. "Exactly." Charles agreed, glad that you were on the same page with the new story. "We’ll stick to that then. Let’s just hope they buy it." He shifted in his seat, feeling a bit better now that you had a plan for handling the questions from his family. “They will if we play our parts right” Charles let out a soft chuckle, amused by your confidence. "You’re right. We just have to be convincing, act natural" he said, his mind already running through different scenarios and questions he could expect from his family.
“We should try and get some sleep,” you say, shifting your body in the seat to face him. Charles nodded in agreement, feeling the exhaustion catching up to him. "Yeah, good idea," he said, looking over at you. "We have a few hours until we land. Might as well rest while we can" “goodnight charles” you whisper softly before closing your eyes. Charles smiled faintly, a wave of unexpected fondness washing over him as you said goodnight. "Goodnight" he replied, his voice also softer than usual. He settled back into his seat as a slight feeling of comfort creeped in.
———————————————————————————
After a few hours, the plane finally touched down in Monaco, landing at the Nice CĂ´te d'Azur Airport. Charles and you gathered your bags and made your way off the plane and into the terminal. As soon as you stepped out, you could feel the change in atmosphere. The air was warmer, the sound of French being spoken all around. It was like stepping into a different world.
Charles looked around, familiar with the airport after countless times flying in for races. “Alright, let’s go get a taxi,” he said, pointing towards the exit. They made their way through the terminal, Charles’s steps quick and a bit nervous. He was excited to be back in Monaco, but at the same time, he was dreading the upcoming meeting with his family. As they exited the airport, a group of paparazzi suddenly sprung up, snapping pictures of Charles and yelling questions at both of you. Charles tensed up, instinctively shielding you from the flashlights with his body. He was used to dealing with the paparazzi, but having you there made it even more uncomfortable. Charles wrapped his arm around your waist, moving you in front of him as the paparazzi continued to shout questions and take pictures. He could feel the tension in your body and he tried to keep his own composure as he navigated through the crowd. “Stay close” he muttered quietly, his grip on you firm but gentle. “Mhm” is all you manage to respond, overwhelmed by the situation.
Charles guided you both through the throng of paparazzi, finally making it to a waiting taxi. He put both of your suitcases in the trunk before  opening the door for you, ushering you into the backseat before climbing in himself. Once inside the taxi, he let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding, grateful to be away from the flashing cameras and invasive questions. You feel a feeling you can't entirely describe, there's now way you could ever get used to that. Four weeks couldn't come any faster. Charles noticed the look on your face, realizing how hard that must have been on you.. He gave your hand a small, comforting squeeze, trying to ease your nerves. “Don’t worry, they’re not always that intense” he assured you, although he knew that wasn’t entirely true. You look down at his hand on top of yours and give a quick smile before looking out the window. Memories from your previous time here rushing back to you. Charles noticed your smile and felt a rush of unexpected warmth in his chest. Ignoring the feeling he removes his hand from your skin. The taxi began to drive through the streets of Monaco, the sun perfectly shining down on everything. “I remember these streets” you say, breaking the comfortable silence. Charles watched as you spoke. He had been caught off guard by how natural it felt to simply sit in silence with you. As you mentioned recognizing the streets he also turned his attention to the city outside. “I can't believe you grew up here” Charles chuckled softly, his eyes wandering out the window as they passed by familiar landmarks. "Yeah, it's a pretty nice place to grow up in" he said, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. "Most of the time, anyway" He looked back at you, studying your face as you took in the city.
———————————————————————————
The taxi pulled up in front of Charles’s house, the familiar building standing tall and elegant. Charles paid the driver before getting out of the car and retrieving his bags. He looked at you as you grabbed your own bags, a mixed look of nerves and anticipation on his face. "Ready?" he asked, as he led the way up the front steps to the massive front door, bracing himself for the coming conversation with his family. “Yeah, I just can't believe I actually agreed to this” you say with a sigh. Charles's heart was racing as he opened the door and led you inside. The inside of the house was just as extravagant as the outside, with high ceilings and elegant furniture. Charles’s mom and brother were sitting in the living room, watching TV, but they immediately looked up as they heard the door open. Charles’s mom, Pascale, was the first to stand up, her eyes widening in surprise. “You made it,” she said with a smile as she walked over to you. "Coucou maman" Charles greeted his mother, a slight unease in his voice. Pascale wrapped Charles in a tight hug, then turned her attention to you. “And you must be” she said, looking you up and down appraisingly. “My new daughter-in-law”. The word “daughter-in-law” felt incredibly surreal to Charles. He watched you nervously, wondering how you would respond to his mother. “Bonjour. Je suis Y/N, I've heard a lot about you! I wish we could have met a bit sooner but we really wanted to keep things private, désolé”. Both you and Charles were extremely surprised at how the lie rolled off your tongue. Pascale was a bit taken aback by your perfect French, clearly impressed by your proficiency, and your charming response. "Oh, mon Dieu! votre français est remarquable!" she exclaimed, clearly taken in by your fluency. Charles looked at you in surprise, he had no clue you understood French, let alone spoke it. “Where are you from?” she asked. Before you can even open your mouth, Charles answers the question for you “She's from New York ''. You quickly turn to look over at Charles, before returning your gaze back to his mom. “Yes, I'm from New York but my mother made me take French lessons when I was younger” You say, letting both Pascale and Charles know. “Maybe she knew you would marry someone who speaks French,” Charles' mom jokes. Making Both of you laugh.
Charles chuckled uneasily at his mother’s joke, the mention of marriage only adding to the tension. He glanced at you again, impressed by how you were handling the situation much better than he expected. “Please come sit down,” Pascal says, leading you to the living room.
Charles and you followed his mom into the living room. Arthur, Charles’s younger brother, was sitting in an armchair, watching the scene unfold with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. He gave you a slight nod in greeting, studying you intently. “Hello” you say Greeting Arthur in a low voice before taking your seat next to Charles. Charles couldn’t help but feel a pang of protectiveness as you sat down next to him, unsure on why he felt more at ease now that you were closer. Arthur gave you a small smile, his eyes darting from you to his brother, clearly trying to figure something out.
"I know you guys must be tired but please do tell me how you met each other" Pascal says with joy in her voice. Charles and you both turn your attention back to his mother, trying to keep up the façade. Charles glances at you for a moment before beginning the made-up story. "We met through a mutual friend about two years ago" he started, trying to keep his voice casual. "We got to talking and it just kind of went from there" You nod in agreement, adding a smile to show that you are onboard. Pascale is hanging on every word, clearly enamored by the story. Arthur, on the other hand, is not as convinced and gives Charles a dubious look. Charles shoots him a look back, signaling for him to let it slide. "it was very romantic, he confessed his love to me after one of his races" You say continuing the story you and Charles planned on using.
Pascale let out a small squeal of excitement, clearly loving your romantic story. "Oh how lovely!" She exclaimed, giving Charles a playful nudge. Charles tried to keep his composure, feeling more and more guilty at the way his mom was buying the lie. You look down as you feel Charles grab your hand that's resting on your thigh.  "Well maman as much as I would love to keep talking about us, we are very tired”. He says as he stands up, also dragging you to your feet. Pascale looked slightly disappointed at Charles' desire to end the conversation, but she recognized the exhaustion on both of your faces. "d'accord" she said, standing up as well. "You must be tired after such a long flight." “It was very nice to meet both of you” you say looking over at Pascal and Arthur. “I know how weird me suddenly being here must be, but we didn't expect it to get out of hand” You looked over at Charles as you spoke. “We had already booked flights to Monaco so we could talk to you before going public, but the media ruined everything” You say clearly lying  giving charles hand a squeeze. Pascale was clearly moved by your words, touched by your considerate approach to the situation. She smiled at you, "Of course, ma cherie, we understand" she said soothingly. "The media can be quite relentless, unfortunately. But i'm glad that you're here now. I need another woman in this family, "she says laughing. You chuckled, feeling guilt about all the lies you have been saying. How were you ever supposed to go through with the divorce now? You never expect this to be so hard.
Arthur's gaze seemed skeptical, his eyes looking between you and Charles. But before he could say anything, Charles spoke up. "We're going to head to bed now" he said, eager to escape the scrutiny. You wave goodbye before you grab your suitcase, Charles dragging you upstairs wanting to leave the living room as fast as possible.
———————————————————————————
Charles pushed the door open, and placed your suitcases inside. His room was large and tidy, with a king-size bed against one wall and a few pieces of expensive-looking furniture. The room had a minimalist aesthetic, with a few framed pictures and a large window overlooking the city.
Charles let go of your hand as he shut the door behind you, his mind clearly still racing. You're not sure why but the sudden loss of his touch makes you feel off. “Fuck of course theres only one bed” you say realizing you would have to share a bed. Charles noticed the slight disappointment in your voice. He glanced at the bed and then back at you, feeling the awkwardness of the situation. He hadn’t thought about the sleeping arrangements beforehand, and now it was too late. He scratched the back of his neck, feeling a bit flustered. “Yeah, I didn’t think that through '' he admitted, his voice a bit tense. “But it wouldn’t be our first time sharing a bed” he says, winking at you jokingly referring to your previous hookup. “Shut up” you say laughing, pushing him slightly. Charles chuckled with a playful smile forming on his face. “Hey, I’m just stating facts” he said, his tension fading slightly at your laughter. He reached out and poked your side, his fingers gently skimming your ribs. You freeze at his touch, turning over to look at him giving him an intriguing look. Charles noticed the curious look in your eyes, his smile growing wider. He took a step closer to you, his hand still on your side. “What’s that look for?” he teased, his fingers gently digging into your ribs, tickling you slightly. “Hey” you yelp as you squirm at his actions. Charles smiled at your squirming and laughing, his fingers continuing to torment you. “What are you going to do?
Make me stop?” he challenged, a mischievous glint in his eyes. You quickly move to face him, walking backwards to get away from him. Charles took your step back as a challenge, his smile growing wider. He stalked after you, his eyes locked on yours. His fingers continued to tickle you as he moved, closing the distance between you in quick strides. Your laughter grows as your knees hit the bed behind you, resulting in you sitting on the bed. Charles’s eyes lit up with amusement as you fell, the sound of your laugh filling the room. He closed the remaining distance, standing over you as you sat on the edge of the bed. His hands stilled, no longer tormenting you with tickles. He looked down at you, a slight hint of something else in his gaze. Your breathing suddenly clams down as you realize Charles is towering over you. He watched the rise and fall of your chest as you caught your breath from the laughing, his gaze flickering down before returning to your eyes. You look up at him, locking eyes.  Charles continued to look down on you, his mind racing. Your nearness was making it hard for him to think straight. He couldn't help but notice the way your hair frames your face. His eyes flicked to your lips, the memory of their taste all too fresh in his mind.
“I'm pretty tired, I think I'm going to try and get some sleep” You say breaking the silence, still looking into Charles’ eyes. Charles' gaze lingered on you for a moment longer before he finally spoke, his voice a bit rough. “Yeah, okay” he said, stepping back to give you some space. You scoot back, finding your side of the bed and getting comfortable. Charles watched your movements. He thought he should give you some space, but he couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to stay close to you. “Do you mind if I join you?” he asked, his voice a little strained. “It's not like you had another option, and you're right. It wouldn't be our first time sharing a bed” You said jokingly. Charles chuckled, feeling a bit of the tension ease at your laughter. "It definitely wouldn't be the first crazy thing we do" he said, his eyes trailing over your body as you lay in the bed. He swallowed visibly, his mind flashing back to the last time you were in a bed together.
You turn your body so you can face Charles “i still havent talked to my mom about any of this” You say in a low voice with a slight hint of worry. Charles noticed the change in your voice. He had been so caught up in the moment that he had almost forgotten about the outside world. He moved to lay a bit closer to you, propping himself up on his elbow.
"Right, the whole explaining to families thing" he said, a note of irony in his tone. "What do you plan on telling her?"  You sigh “Well I'm not sure, I was thinking…” Charles watched you in silence, patiently waiting for you to continue. He could see the conflict in your eyes. Not sure what took over him but he reached out and gently tucked a stray piece of hair behind your ear. "What were you thinking?" he prompted, his voice gentle. His touch feels soothing and familiar to you. “Well maybe I could tell her the truth. The reason this has gone far is because you can't risk the press finding out that our marriage was a drunk accident.” you reply, hoping Charles agrees to your plan. “But what if your mom tells someone and then the truth comes out, i can't risk that”. You nod in agreement, “Yeah i guess you're right, maybe i'll just talk to her when all all of this is over'' You weren't entirely sure why you cared about Charles reputation, but part of you knew that if he faced backlash, so would you. And there's no way you could handle the millions of eyes and name dropping sleazes speaking about you negatively.
“We have time to figure something out” he says trying to ease the situation, “4 weeks” you reply with a sigh. "Yeah, four weeks," Charles repeated, his voice a bit weary. He flopped back onto his back, his eyes staring up at the ceiling. Four weeks. It felt both like an eternity and not long enough all at once. “Goodnight Charles” you whisper. Snapping him out of his thoughts. “Goodnight Y/N”
———————————————————————————
Week 1 day 2
Charles slowly woke up, his mind foggy with sleep. He opened his eyes and was immediately reminded of the night before. He turned his head to look next to him and saw that you were still asleep, a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips at the sight. A few moments later your eyes fluttered as you slowly woke. The early morning sunlight streamed through the window, casting a soft glow across the room, the shadows contouring your face perfectly. Groggily, you turned over, letting out a yawn as you struggled to shake off the remnants of sleep. Charles noticed your stirring, his eyes watching as you roused from sleep. He silently observed as you slowly awakened. He propped himself up on one arm as he waited for you to fully open your eyes.
“Hey” you groan as you stretch. You had a goodnight sleep despite the situation you're in. Charles chuckled softly at your sleepy greeting. "Morning'" he drawled, his voice still rough "we should head down for breakfast". “Okay. yeah, let me just get dressed”. Charles nodded, reluctantly pulling away from the comfortable bed. He stood up and stretched, his back popping audibly. He watched as you rose from the bed, his eyes tracing over your figure.
You walk into the bathroom to get dressed. You decided on a little flowy dress, you thought it would be perfect for the weather today. Naturally you took longer than Charles to get ready. He didn't really have to wait for you to finish, he could have gone downstairs by himself. It's not like couples spend every second together, but he still chose to wait. Charles watched as you came out of the bathroom, his gaze never leaving you. He couldn't help but admire your figure, the way the clothes looked on your body. He had to force himself to tear his eyes away. Why he was suddenly looking at you in a different way was a question he couldn't exactly answer. He obviously knew you were attractive. That's the whole reason you got into this mess, he thought you were so beautiful he had to ask you to marry him. But Charles knew there was no point in trying to start anything. You weren't looking for a relationship, or at least not with him. You weren't cut out for the type of fame that came with dating him, and either way all of this was ending in four weeks. Right?
“Okay, let's go,” you said, making your way towards the door. Charles nodded, watching you exit the room first. He followed behind you. You both made your way to the kitchen, the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. As you entered the room, both Pascale and Arthur were at the table drinking coffee and chatting. Pascale looked up as you entered, a bright smile on her face.
“Good Morning” you say smiling as you greet both of them. "Good morning dear!" Pascale responds, her eyes darting between you and Charles, who stood behind you. Arthur nodded in greeting. Charles pulled out a chair for you, gesturing for you to sit. He then took a seat next to you at the table, his knee brushing against yours under the table. Pascale and Arthur continued to chat as they prepared breakfast, glancing intermittently in your direction before Pascal spoke up. "That's right, I forgot to ask to see your ring," she says with excitement. “Oh yeah, it's beautiful” The question caught you a bit off guard. You had honestly forgotten about the cause of all your problems, the ring on your finger. Regardless you extend your hand, showing Pascal the stupid but beautiful ring. Pascal's eyes widened as she took in your ring, a radiant smile crossing her face. "Oh my! Look how lovely!" she exclaimed, admiring the sparkle of the diamond in the light. Arthur peered at the ring, a stoic expression on his face. “I couldn't have asked for a better one” You laugh, turning over to look at Charles. You watched as he chuckled, a hint of pride in his eyes as he looked at you. "Yeah, I picked the perfect one" he agreed with a smirk. He reached out and grasped your hand that was holding the ring, his fingers tracing the band softly. You looked up at him, a bit confused by his actions. Charles met your gaze, his fingers still holding onto your hand. A moment of silence passed between you, the world seeming to fall away. His thumb traced small circles on the back of your hand.
Arthur cleared his throat, bringing Charles and you back to reality. Charles quickly let go of your hand, as if remembering that you had an audience. Pascale was still gushing over your ring, oblivious to the moment that had just passed between you and Charles. "Why am I becoming so forgetful" pascal exclaims "Charles dear do you think you could quickly go and get bread from the boulangerie, it's not far on foot"
Charles gave a nod, thankful for the distraction. "Yeah, I can do that," he said, standing up from the table. Not knowing what took over you, you make the decision to grab his hand, stopping him from leaving “i'll go with you too babe” you say smiling. Charles's eyes widened a fraction as you grabbed his hand. He looked down at you, a hint of surprise in his gaze. He couldn't deny the fact that he liked the way “babe” sounded on your lips. "Yeah?" he answered, a small smile playing at the corner of his mouth. “Mhm” you respond as you stand up, pulling yourself closer to him.
He tried to ignore the way his heart quickened at your proximity. "Alright then" he said, his voice slightly strained. "Let's go get the bread." “We’ll try to hurry,” you follow up
Charles nodded in agreement as you said goodbye to Pascale and Arthur. He led the way out of the kitchen to the front door, his hand still in yours. As soon as the door closed behind him, he turned to you "You're trouble, you know that?" he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. “Me! How?” you reply with laughter "You, grabbing my hand, calling me babe, needing to go with me for a simple task" he responded. “Well I didn't want to be left alone with your family, I know nothing about them and besides what if slip up on a lie”. Charles sighed, realizing the truth in your words. "Fair enough" he conceded, his grip on your hand tightening slightly. "Guess you have a point there." He looked over at you, taking in the vulnerability in your eyes. "But that “babe” thing?. You roll your eyes “Don't let it get to you, If we don't show affection they might get suspicious”. Charles squeezed your hand in agreement. "You're right, gotta sell the bit" he said with a smirk. “Okay well i think we’re far from the house now” you say as you let go of his hand. Charles felt a pang of disappointment as you let go of his hand, the absence of your touch creating a sense of emptiness. A part of him wanted to grab your hand again, to pull you closer, but he resisted.
———————————————————————————
You and Charles approached the bakery, the familiar sight and smell of fresh bread filling the air. As you walked up to the counter, Charles's eyes roamed over the variety of pastries and loaves of bread on display. But he was also drawn to something outside. You feel a strange sense of deja vu. Have I been here before? You ask yourself in your head. Suddenly you get snapped out of your thoughts by the cheerful voice of the woman behind the counter. "Bonjour, monsieur, mademoiselle. What can I get for you today?" she said, her eyes flickering between you and Charles. “Order the bread, i'll be back in a second” Charles says tapping your hip slightly before leaving the bakery. You ignore whatever he's doing and focus on your task.
The worker hands you the bag of bread as you pay. You walk outside looking for charles. You can't seem to find him so you walk a little further down the street, spotting someone you think you recognize. You squint your eyes trying to get a better look. “Hey!” Charles says poking your sides from behind you. “OMG! don't ever do that again” You say nudging him slightly, realizing he's holding a brown paper bag. “Did you get the bread?” he asks, laughing at your reaction to him scaring you. “I did, but what did you get?” you reply as you furrow your eyebrows in confusion, curious to know what he bought. “Dont worry about it, i'll show you when we get home’
He started walking again, gesturing for you to follow him back to the house.
——————————————————————————-
You arrive back to the house and walk into the kitchen. “I hope we didn't take long” you tell Pascal as you set the bag of bread down on the table. “Of course not dear” she responds, reaching for the bread. “Please sit down, eat something”.
“Actually we had some on the way here” Charles says to his mom, the mystery paper bag still clutched in his hand. “Yeah, we're a bit full” you follow up with a chuckle. “D’accord, but please don't be shy with me". She says with a smile before returning to talking with Arthur.
“Come, let's go back upstairs, I have a surprise for you” Charles says, taking your hand, dragging you upstairs. You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Charles’ words. A surprise? What could it possibly be?. You allowed him to lead you up the stairs, your curiosity piqued.
As you reached the top of the stairs, he opened his bedroom door and ushered you inside.
“What is it?” you ask as you sit on the bed. Charles mirrored your movements, sitting next to you handing you the paper bag before replying “Open it in see”. You give him a quick look before opening the bag. Your eyes widened in disbelief “NO WAY!! THEY SELL IT HERE” You yelp standing up in excitement. He bought you the latest issue of the magazine you write for. Charles couldn't help but smile at your reaction when you saw the magazine. Your excitement was contagious, and he enjoyed seeing the happiness spread across your face. "I remember you telling me you wrote for a magazine and well I saw your last name on the cover and figured that one must be it since your mom owns the company" he admitted as you stood up.”I can't believe you remembered,” you softly say as you look down at Charles.
Charles shrugged, trying not to make a big deal about it, but you could see the hint of pride in his eyes. "Of course I remember, I listen when you talk, and I would be a bad husband if I didn't remember," he said, his tone soft but still joking. He patted the space next to him on the bed, silently requesting for you to sit back down. You happily accept taking a seat next to him “Thank you, i know its an effortless gift but no one has ever done something like this for me” you say in a soft tone. Charles's heart ached slightly at your words. "Someone should have," he murmured, his voice low. He reached out and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, his fingers lingering on your cheek for a moment before he pulled back. "You deserve nice things, Y/N."
You smile at him not knowing what to respond. You're not falling for him, You can't. There's a million reasons why it won't end well. You couldn't keep the lie about how you actually met a secret for your whole relationship. What would you even tell people, You hooked up, got married, met his mom, fell in love, then got together ? That would be perfect if it was reversed. But it's not and you both know that. With that in mind, you decide to speak up. “Charles, we barely know each other that well and if you really think about it, it's only been a few days we've spent together, and I can't…”. Charles sighed, realizing the truth in your words. "Yeah, I know," he said, a hint of melancholy in his voice. He had been so caught up in the moment, in the way you made him feel, that he sometimes forgot that all of this was temporary. "You're right, we barely know each other and..." he trailed off, struggling to find the right words.
“I'm sorry if you ever thought i was leading you on” you say feeling a bit guilty about your words. Charles shook his head, not wanting you to apologize. "No, no," he said. "You didn't lead me on, I just... I got caught up in all this." He let out a dry chuckle, "It's just that spending time with you feels so natural and easy. Like we've known each other for years, not days."
“I feel it too but it could never work out, you're a formula one driver and I'm just a girl from New York. you would barely be in the states and I wouldn't be able to accompany you to the races once the season starts. it just wouldn't work.” You watched as Charles’ heart sank as you spoke, the brutal truth of your words hitting him full force. He knew you were right, that there were endless obstacles between you and him. He was a world-famous driver, and you had a life in New York, miles away from the races. But despite all that, he found himself wishing it could be different. "Yeah, you're right, let's just push through and get the divorce in 3 weeks," he said eventually, his voice heavy with resignation. You sigh before speaking “And there's no way I would move to Monaco agai-” You quickly look up at Charles hoping he didn't hear the end of your sentence. But he did, His ears perked up at the sound of your words, his eyes quickly darting to your face. "Wait, what?" he said, his tone laced with disbelief. "What do you mean again?
You stand back up quickly changing the subject “I saw a cute store on the way to the bakery, I think I'm gonna stop by it, My Vegas clothes will only last me so long” you say referring to the clothes that you had only originally packed to only stay a few days in Vegas. Not to live a married life in Monaco. You follow up your words with an awkward smile before walking out of his room.
Charles watched as you abruptly stood up and walked out of the room, his heart racing. Your use of the word “again” echoed in his mind, and he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story. He waited for a few moments, contemplating whether to follow you or give you space.  But he also remembered your words from earlier. "It would never work" he decided to stay back letting you go.
As you walked down the stairs, you encountered Arthur standing at the bottom, a contemplative look on his face. He observed you for a moment, his eyes lingering on your expression before he spoke. "Everything alright?" he asked, his voice laced with a hint of concern. “Yeah, i'm just going to a store” you replied, giving him a forced smile as you walked towards the door, leaving the house.
—-----------------------------------------
Day 3, 4 and five were calm, nothing crazy happened between you and Charles. Both of you maintain the facade of being hopelessly in love. You act sweet and affectionate towards each other in front of Charles's family, selling the act effortlessly. Everyone buys it, well everyone except Arthur.
Week 1 Day 6
It was later on in the day getting closer to night time. You were quickly cleaning the dishes before you got ready for bed. You were lost in thought looking outside the window above the sink until Arthur walked up to you. “Hey Y/N” he said. You found this strange. You and Arthur acknowledged each other's existence and had a few interactions here and there but you never really had a conversation with him. “Hey Arthur” you replied with a hint of confusion in your voice. Arthur leaned against the sink, studying your expression as you turned your attention to him. You could sense his hesitation, his eyes searching yours. "Can I ask you something?" he said, his voice low and laced with a hint of seriousness. “Umm sure” you respond with a confused tone. Arthur took a deep breath, as if gathering his thoughts. "I know you and Charles are in this... “pretend” marriage," he said, his tone gentle. "How did it start?"
Your eyes widen as you hear the words come out of his mouth. His question caught you so off guard that you almost shatter a dish due to the speed you dropped it at. I- what? How do you? What? You stutter, extremely confused as to how he found out.
Arthur chuckled softly at your reaction, his eyes never leaving your face. "Let's just say I overheard you and my brother talking last time, the day we ran into each other on the stairs" he explained. "He said you were getting a divorce in 3 weeks and I figured my suspicion was true, you got accidentally married in Vegas didn't you?" He says somehow laughing at the situation. You look around nervously making sure there's no one in the perimeter. “Arthur, I-” You stutter before giving up. You figure  there's no point in lying. “Please you cant tell anyone, if the media found out it was a drunk decision not only would it get Charles in trouble but I would be dragged to filth. People are already mad I'm dating him, I don't even want to know what they would say if they found out I was a one night stand gone wrong. Arthur nodded in understanding, placing a hand on your shoulder in reassurance. "I get it, trust me and honestly I don't really care." he said, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "If I had a dollar for every time my brother did something stupid I'd be richer than he is. I won't say anything to anyone I promise, but you might need to get a bit better at keeping this lie up". You tilt your head at his words “what do you mean?”
Arthur grins as his hand leaves your shoulder "just tell my brother Alexandra is coming to the party our mom is hosting next week"
That's all he manages to say as he leaves. You stand there by the sink, left puzzled by Arthur's cryptic words. Who's Alexandra? you think to yourself.

Logan Sargeant x f2 driver!reader
You are an F2 driver and a long term friend of Logan. When you called Logan and asked to meet him he happily came to see you...but he was not ready for the news. This takes place by the end of the summer break
A/N: I swear this has been sitting on my draft for a few days now. I was planning to post it next week but after the news today I just decided to post it now. Logan deserves better and FU Williams
Tumblr media
You fidget with your phone, trying to calm the nerves that have been gnawing at you since the email from Williams hit your inbox. This was supposed to be the happiest moment of your life—the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifices, and endless hours behind the wheel. But now, sitting in this quiet café, waiting for Logan to arrive, all you feel is an uneasy sense of guilt.
The door chimes, and your breath catches when you see him walk in. Logan is dressed in a casual T-shirt and jeans, his familiar blue eyes scanning the room until they land on you. His smile is instant, the kind of smile that makes your heart skip a beat. You try to smile back, but it doesn’t quite reach your eyes.
“Hey,” he greets as he approaches, his voice carrying that light, easy tone you’ve come to adore. “You sounded a bit nervous on the phone. Everything okay?”
Your stomach twists, and you force yourself to nod as he sits down across from you. Logan looks relaxed, excited even. It’s that excitement that makes this moment so much harder. He’s been one of your closest friends since you entered the world of motorsport. The guy who pushed you when you were down and celebrated your victories like they were his own. He had no idea what was coming, and that’s what made it so painful.
“I—uh…” You start, your voice shaky, and you bite down on your bottom lip to keep it from trembling. “There’s something I need to tell you, Logan.”
His eyebrows knit together with mild concern, but he’s still smiling, like he thinks whatever you’re about to say can’t be all that bad. You wish it wasn’t.
He leans forward slightly, and for a split second, you notice the way his eyes flicker over your face like he’s trying to read what’s going on in your head. “You know you can tell me anything, right?” he says softly, his voice warm.
You take a deep breath and just spit it out, the words tumbling from your lips in a rush. “Williams offered me the seat. They want me to sign the contract tomorrow.”
You watch his face closely, and it’s like you can see the exact moment the floor drops out from under him. His smile falters, his eyes widen just slightly, and then he blinks, trying to recover before you can notice too much. But you do. You see the exact moment everything shifts for him.
“Oh,” he says, his voice quiet, like he’s trying to process the news. “Williams offered you the seat…”
You nod, feeling your throat tighten. “I swear I didn’t know, Logan. I had no idea they weren’t going to re-sign you. If I’d known—” Your voice cracks, and you look away, blinking quickly to keep the tears at bay. “I’m so sorry.”
Logan forces a smile, but it’s not the same. It’s tight around the edges, like he’s holding back a storm of emotions. “Don’t be,” he says, his voice soft but strained. “You deserve it. You’ve worked so hard for this. You shouldn’t feel bad.”
But you do. You feel terrible. You can see how much this is hurting him, even if he’s trying to be supportive. You’re not just taking a seat—you’re taking 'his' seat. The seat he fought for, the seat that was supposed to be his future. And now, it’s yours.
“Logan…” Your voice trails off, unsure of what to say. There’s nothing you can say to make this right.
He leans back slightly in his chair, his gaze dropping to the table. His jaw tightens for a brief second, and you can tell he’s fighting to keep it together. “Look,” he says after a long pause, “this is Formula 1. This is what we’ve both been working for, right? I’ve had my shot. Now it’s your turn. You’ve earned this.”
You shake your head, tears now threatening to spill over. “But it doesn’t feel right. It was your seat, Logan. I don’t want to take it from you.”
He reaches across the table, his hand brushing against yours for a brief moment before pulling back. That brief touch sends warmth through you, but it only makes the situation worse. You know he’s trying to be strong for you, but all you can see is the pain in his eyes.
“Hey,” he says gently, his eyes meeting yours. “You’re going to do great. Don’t doubt yourself because of me. This is your dream too.”
Your heart aches at his words. It’s everything you’ve wanted to hear, but not like this. Not when it’s causing him so much pain.
“I just—” you start, but the words die in your throat. You want to tell him how much he means to you, how you wish things could be different, but the words won’t come.
Logan stands suddenly, pushing his chair back with a soft scrape. “I should get going,” he says, his voice a little too casual. “I’ve got simulator work to do. Still got the second half of the season to focus on. Gotta give it my all, right?”
You stand too, feeling like you’re losing him in more ways than one. Before he can leave, you reach out and pull him into a hug. He tenses for a moment, then relaxes into your arms, holding you a little too tightly, like he doesn’t want to let go. You don’t either.
You stay like that for a moment, his chin resting lightly on the top of your head, your hands gripping the fabric of his shirt. You can feel the steady beat of his heart against your chest, but there’s a sadness in the way he’s holding you, like this is the end of something neither of you had the courage to admit was there.
When he finally pulls back, his hands linger on your shoulders, his eyes meeting yours for one last moment. You can see the weight of unspoken words in his gaze, the things neither of you ever said but both of you felt.
“You’re going to be amazing,” he says softly. “Don’t let anything hold you back.”
You nod, trying to smile but feeling it fall short. “Thank you.”
Logan gives you one last look, something soft and bittersweet in his expression, and then he turns and walks away, his footsteps heavy with the weight of everything unsaid. You watch him go, feeling helpless and heartbroken, knowing that this is one of those moments that will haunt you for a long time.
You didn’t want to lose him, not like this. But as Logan disappears from view, you realize that maybe you already have.

Warnings: Sibling fights, mentions of former pilots, Brazilian Y/n and cute couple. I think that's it.

Y/n Barrichello was lying on the bed in her childhood bedroom, while talking to her boyfriend on FaceTime. She had chosen to spend Christmas with her parents in Brazil, after a long period in London at University.
"I don't know if I can make it before the 25th. But I promise we'll spend New Year's together," Ollie says from the other side of the girl's computer screen.
Y/n throws herself back into the pillows and huffs dramatically.
She knew that some European airports were closed due to the blizzard, but she thought that Ollie would actually be able to come to Brazil before the 23rd to spend Christmas with her family.
"Okay... It's a little frustrating, but it happens, we couldn't predict it" She says, after sitting back down and grabbing a cup of tea from beside the bed.
In reality, Ollie was already in Brazil. He had arrived a few hours ago and wanted to surprise his girlfriend, so his best choice was to tell her that he couldn't catch a flight from London to Brazil. He didn't know if he was anxious to tell her right away, or if it was because they were spending their first Christmas together.
Y/n's siblings thought it would be hilarious if Ollie lied a little to his sister and came to Brazil as a surprise. And if Y/n got mad, they would blame their poor father.
"You're drinking tea in the heat of Brazil?" Ollie holds back a laugh. He had been to Brazil a few times to run, and he knew how hot the country could get in December.
Y/n shrugs and takes another sip of tea.
"I had sinusitis for about 3 days. So grandma gave me this suspicious herbal tea to make it better." Y/n puts the cup on the table next to her and looks at the screen, while Ollie laughs.
"My poor baby" he makes a cute voice, and Y/n pouts.
The couple had been together for about two years. They met at a race in Monza, when Y/n and her family went on a trip before she moved to study, and well, as Y/n's father is a former formula 1 driver, Bearman took advantage of the opportunity to meet approach the girl.
Ollie was extremely happy when he found out that she would be moving to the same city he grew up in, which led him to ask the girl out on a few dates before asking her out.
Oliver was still talking to Y/n, about how his family had bought her presents for Christmas, when the girl's twin brother entered her room. The younger pilot noticed that his girlfriend was looking at the door, until he heard his younger brother-in-law's voice.
"Ei, estĂĄ falando com Oliver?" Fernando asks his sister in Portuguese and she nods. The young man approaches the laptop screen and waves to his brother-in-law. "Hi, honey!" He says, making the Hass pilot laugh and greet his brother-in-law.
They exchanged some conversations while Y/n got up and left the facetime screen to grab a chocolate from her candy drawer. the last one in stock.
She sits down again, now leaning against the headboard of the bed and picking up her laptop: "Now get out, let me talk to my boyfriend. Since he's not coming for Christmas!" She says the last sentence a little sadly, looking at the chocolate packaging as she opens it.
Fernando smiles mischievously at his brother-in-law and Ollie raises his eyebrows smiling too. Knowing the whole plan.
"Okay. See you later!" He says goodbye to Oliver and looks at his sister, who was about to bite into the chocolate. "And this is mine now!" Fernando takes the chocolate from his sister's hand and runs out of her room, turning off the light as he walks through the door.
"SEU IDIOTA!! ERA O MEU ÚLTIMO!" Y/n screams in Portuguese and gets up to try to reach her brother, but she only reaches the door and turns on the bedroom light again.
Meanwhile, she could hear Ollie's laughter on FaceTime.
She goes back to bed and smiles seeing her boyfriend: "Hey...stop laughing...it was my last chocolate...and I deserved it, I'm sick!" She raises her hands in surrender.
"Alright, alright, when I see you I'll fill you with chocolates" Oliver says, still laughing.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••
It was Christmas Eve morning, December 24th. The Barrichello family had gotten up early to organize the house and arrange with their family what they would have for dinner that night.
Y/n was with her older brother and father, playing board games on the house's large balcony, which overlooked the condominium's lake and the family's large pool.
"Hey, you can't do this to me!! You're stealing" Y/n says stressed as her older brother and father take her doll out of the game again. "I'm the youngest in the family, you have to let me win" she says holding back her laughter and rolling the dice.
"Younger??" Eduardo asks amusedly. "You're Fefo's twin, keep to yourself!" He jokes.
"No! I was born three minutes later, so technically I'm the youngest," she says and they laugh. "Speaking of which. Where is it?" she asks, moving the little figure on the board.
Dudu and his father just look at each other in amusement, knowing what Fernando had gone to do. Pick up Ollie at the hotel he was staying at.
Bearman had arrived late at night in Brazil, and preferred to spend the night at the hotel so as not to disturb his girlfriend's family in the early hours of the morning, even though they said it wouldn't hurt. So, he just called Y/n at that time to lie that he wouldn't be able to attend Christmas with them.
"I think he went to pick up grandma at the airport or something." Eduardo lies, and poor Y/n believes him, saying that he missed grandma and wanted to see her soon.
Time passed and only Dudu and Y/n were left on the balcony playing cards. When Fernando sent a message to his father saying he was arriving with Ollie, Rubens got up from the table saying he needed to do something. Y/n didn't pay attention and continued playing with her older brother.
More insulting him for stealing than actually playing.
"You're sweating and shaking!" Fernando says to Ollie, parking the car in front of the house.
Oliver had a great relationship with his girlfriend's family, and there was no reason for him to be nervous about being there, but he knew how angry his girlfriend got when people lied to her.
But gosh, it was a white lie.
"It's the heat," Ollie jokes as he gets out of the car.
Meanwhile, Y/n's mother and father were waiting in front of the mansion.
"Yeah...it's the heat," Fernando jokes, opening the trunk and Oliver taking out his bags. "Relax, it's just my sister."
"That's right, she's YOUR sister," Ollie replies with a smile, as he climbs the stairs to the entrance, pulling his suitcase behind him.
"Oliver, dear. It's so good to see you again!" Bearman's mother-in-law smiles, pulling him into a hug.
"Hi!" He says shyly, pulling out of the hug with a charming smile.
"Look there, my favorite son-in-law!" Rubens says, making his son and wife roll their eyes.
"He's your only son-in-law, Dad," Fernando says, willingly taking Ollie's suitcase from his hands.
"Still! The best there is for that title!" The former pilot holds his son-in-law's shoulders and they laugh.
"Let's go in! Y/n must still be there on the porch with Dudu, playing cards" The mother says, opening the door and letting Ollie enter before the others.
The young pilot had a small bouquet of roses in his hands, and several chocolates. Which made Y/n's mother discreetly say to Rubens, talking about how cute he was with their daughter.
The former pilot smiles, satisfied with the choice his daughter made.
Walking through the house until they reached the back, they heard Y/n talking loudly, while insisting that her older brother was cheating in the game.
"Get up! I want to see if there's a card under your ugly ass!" Her voice echoed through the back of the house, making Eduardo stand up and prove that there was nothing in his chair. "Still! You're not being honest in the game."
Eduardo rolls his eyes laughing.
"How did you fall in love with her?" Fernando asks quietly, pointing at his sister.
Ollie doesn't answer. He just looks at Y/n, with that silly smile and his eyes shining, clearly in love. It was as if he didn't need words; his expression already said it all.
The mother smiles, seeing her son-in-law adore and admire her daughter.
"That's so cute," she whispers to Rubens.
Oliver looks at his in-laws, and they encourage him to come closer to the balcony. He walks, with a bouquet resting on his arm and chocolates in his hand.
As soon as he appears at the door, Eduardo is the first to notice him. Ollie puts a finger to his lips, asking for silence, and Dudu smiles, understanding the joke. He continues to play, pretending that nothing had happened, waiting for the right moment for Y/n to notice.
Y/n throws a card on the table, already smiling victoriously. "You!!"
Eduardo plays a better card, making her sigh and draw another card. "I hate it..." she says quietly, making them laugh and Oliver hold back his laughter.
Slowly approaching, Ollie stops behind the chair where his girlfriend was sitting and places a hand on her shoulder. Without looking back, Y/n places her hand on top of his, not realizing that it was her boyfriend.
"Wait, Mom, I'll help you with dessert. Just one more round!"
With that, Eduardo starts to laugh, making his cards fall to the floor and Fernando appear in front of his sister laughing too.
"Idiot!" Fernando says laughing and looking at his sister.
Their parents also appear on the balcony, smiling.
When Y/n sees her mother there hugging her father on her side, and that hand was still on her shoulder, she furrows her eyebrows and turns around, coming face to face with an amused Ollie smiling.
She quickly gets up from her chair and lightly taps her boyfriend on the chest: "Hey, you said you'd be in London by the 25th!!" She says looking at her boyfriend, but a smile appears on the corner of her lips.
"And you mistook me for your mother." He smiles, opening his arms to grab his girlfriend.
"It's not the same!" She says smiling, and entering her boyfriend's comfortable embrace. "I missed you..."
But the moment doesn't last long. Y/n pulls out of the hug, a playful glint in her eyes, and lightly hits his chest again. "But I'm mad because you lied to me!"
"I know, I know... But it was a white lie, okay? I needed to surprise you." Ollie laughs, stroking her back.
She looks around, noticing that everyone was acting as if his arrival wasn't a surprise. "And why aren't you impressed with him being here? Did you already know?"
"Did we know? We helped plan all of this!!" Fernando says smiling, crossing his arms.
The rest of the family nods in agreement as well.
"EVERYONE knew??" She asks in disbelief. "They knew and they still let me cry because I thought I wouldn't spend Christmas with Ollie?"
They laugh and Ollie coos at her teasingly.
"Oh, did you cry for me?" He asks, leaning closer to her neck and kissing it.
Y/n tries not to shiver and looks at him with amusement. "Wait, I'll talk to you too!" She opens her hand on his face, making them laugh. "So, did everyone help Ollie make the surprise?"
"Yes...actually, dad only found out about 3 days ago. Because if not, he would have told you somehow" Eduardo says, gathering the letters from the floor.
"Hey!" Rubens says in protest and they smile.
"All traitors, I can't trust anyone in this house!" Y/n smiles, and some roll their eyes, especially the girl's twin brother.
"Forgive the little lie?" Oliver asks, smiling.
Y/n turns around, giving a loving smile too. "Of course, because if I threw you in the pool my father would fight and defend you. In what way?" She hugs Oliver again, making her father shrug that it was true and they smile.
"Here, my apology..." he hands over the bouquet of roses and Y/n feels her cheeks flush. "And this one is because your brother started his last one yesterday..." Ollie chuckles, handing her the box of Swiss chocolates.
She smiles more.
"Definitely forgiven!" She smiles and Ollie hugs her sideways, placing a kiss on his girlfriend's hair.
"And I brought him here? No forgiveness for me?" Fernando asks, looking at his sister.
"Will you shut up!" She frowns at her twin. "You stole my chocolate yesterday. That negates any good you did. And it doesn't help me be any less irritable either!"
"Ollie, tell me, who's the favorite? Me, who drove to the hotel, or her, who just yells at me?"
Oliver smiles, tightening the hug, looking lovingly at his girlfriend.
"You know...the bouquet and the chocolates already say...but thanks for the ride" Ollie says, making the family smile.
Y/n shrinks into the side hug, almost bursting with love.
"Hey! Ollie's been here for about 15 minutes, guys? There has to be at least a kiss!" Eduardo teases his sister, getting up from around the table.
Y/n rolls her eyes at the oldest: "Of course, you don't leave us alone. You just keep humiliating me." She jokes with her brothers, making the family laugh out loud.
"Ok, ok! If that's the problem, kiss already!!" Fernando says leaving the balcony, with his older brother behind him laughing.
"Just don't kiss too much, I'm home this whole holiday!" Y/n's father looks at the couple, making Ollie shy and Y/n scold her father.
They leave laughing, leaving the two alone in the place.
The balcony where Y/n and Ollie are standing is surrounded by a vibrant green garden with colorful flowers and tall trees whose leaves sway gently in the cool breeze from the nearby lake.
Y/n turns around to face her boyfriend. "Hey!" She places one hand on the rookie pilot's cheek and the other behind Bearman's neck.
"Hi, honey," he holds her waist, pulling them into a kiss filled with longing and love.

Tumblr media
“I thought I’d never be okay, but now I know that I’m okay.” (Niki, La La Lost You) ⋆˙⟡ —
Synopsis: After a crush on driver Paul Aron leaves you heartbroken, you unexpectedly find yourself pursued by Campos Driver, Pepe Martí. As he gently shows you kindness and patience, you start to realize that love isn’t as hopeless as it once seemed.
Genre: Angst, Slowburn + Fluff !!
Pairing: Pepe MartĂ x Fem!Reader
Warnings: This entire fic in itself, because it was a random idea I had at 12 am after finding out the guy I started gaining feelings for had a girlfriend (PLEASE 2025 be good to me, I can’t keep going through these things even if it is for the plot)
Note: Honestly, I just wanted an outlet to vent out my feelings because I haven’t felt the pain of heartbreak in over a year and this one felt extra bittersweet because I couldn’t even form a connection with the guy. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it! Love lots, and don’t forget to like + reblog as always.
Chasing the Apex (Paul’s Version) !!
Tumblr media
For as long as you could remember, you had noticed that love wasn’t always the kindest towards you. From one-sided crushes to having your heart crushed entirely by your ex, you honestly don't understand why the universe could be so cruel. That was until you met Paul.
As one of the social media managers for the Formula 2 grid, you handled posts and updates throughout race weekends. Being around the same age as most of the younger drivers, you got along with them pretty easily.
But none of them caught your attention quite like Paul Aron.
You’ve always noticed Paul. It’s hard not to, really. He’s the kind of person who effortlessly draws attention with his charm, his smile, and the way he carries himself—like he’s not just a talented racer, but someone who genuinely enjoys life, which made him one of the highlights of your first season on the grid as well.
His presence lights up a room, and though you’ve crossed paths a few times during FIA events or networking opportunities, you’ve never had the chance to talk to him. But every time you see him, something about him draws you in, leaving you with a flutter in your chest that you can’t quite explain.
It happens again one evening, at a Porsche networking event. You’re standing near the refreshment table, trying to stay calm as you check your phone, making sure everything’s ok for your blog post the next day. Then you hear a voice, smooth and warm, cutting through the chatter.
“Is the Wi-Fi in this place always this spotty, or is it just tonight?” Paul says, his tone light and friendly.
You glance up, slightly startled. His smile catches you off guard, as if he’s genuinely amused by the moment, not just making small talk. He’s standing a few feet away, holding a drink in one hand, his other hand casually resting on the edge of the table.
You laugh softly, trying to steady your nerves. “Honestly, it might just be this place. I’ve had worse reception at airports.”
He chuckles, a sound that’s easygoing and somehow puts you at ease. “I swear, Wi-Fi is the real race here. Always competing with my connection.”
You can’t help but smile at the way he talks, as though you’re both sharing a private joke. The conversation stays light, but it’s easy. There’s no awkwardness. He listens as much as he speaks, and you feel like, for a few moments, the world narrows down to just the two of you. But then, just as quickly as the moment began, it’s over.
Paul nods, excusing himself to chat with someone else, leaving you standing there, feeling a strange mix of giddy and disappointed.
Over the next few days, you find yourself replaying that brief encounter in your mind, analyzing every word, every glance. Each time you pass him at the track or at another event, you catch yourself lingering, watching him from the corner of your eye, fascinated by the way he interacts with everyone around him.
He’s effortlessly kind, almost too charismatic for his own good, and you can’t help but be drawn to him even more, though you keep your feelings to yourself.
It’s all so easy for him, and you can’t shake the thought that he’s the kind of person who could make anyone feel special. Even if he doesn’t notice you, you find yourself quietly admiring him from afar.
One evening, you’re idly scrolling through social media, distracted by the usual updates and posts, when something catches your eye. It’s a tag in one of Paul’s photos, leading you to a girl’s account. You hesitate for a moment, but curiosity wins out, and you click on it.
You had seen this girl around and recognized her as the new Hi-Tech GP social media intern.
At first, it’s easy to tell yourself that you’re just browsing. After all, it’s just another account, right? But soon, you find yourself diving deeper—scrolling through the posts, the captions, the shared moments between them.
Each photo feels like a glimpse into a world you’ll never be a part of: the vacations, the inside jokes, the smiles exchanged in private moments.
At first, you brushed it off as nothing more than a friendship, but the more you saw, the more it seemed like there was something more. It’s all perfectly curated, as if everything about their relationship is designed to be seen, to be admired.
Before you even knew it, you find it. A highlight that’s pinned at the top of her profile—a video of Paul looking at her with such tenderness in his eyes.
The way he smiles, so genuine, so in love, sends a sharp pang through your chest. You swallow hard, the weight of the moment settling in. He’s taken. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
As you sat there, staring at more photos of them smiling, traveling, and sharing intimate moments (there were even photos of her with his family and you almost felt like throwing up), the weight of it settled on you.
It hit you all at once—the reality that Paul wasn’t just out of reach, but he was with someone else. And in that moment, the pain was sharper than you expected. You’d been holding onto a hope that was never yours to have, and suddenly you’re reminded of why you never pursued a connection, until now.
Another rush of emotions hit you like a bus—jealousy, sadness, and a crushing sense of inadequacy. You couldn’t help but compare yourself to the girl in the photos, wondering if you were ever enough or if you’d ever measure up to what Paul seemed to have with someone else.
It seemed impossible, especially when you were just a regular girl, whilst Paul’s girlfriend looked like she modeled during the off-season.
It didn’t make sense, you knew that. After all, you had no claim over him. But the feelings didn’t care about logic. The more you thought about it, the more it hurt—you couldn’t shake the sting of seeing them together, knowing you weren’t ever meant to be part of his story.
It felt like a cruel reminder that no matter how much you’d hoped, love was always just out of reach. The realization hits you like a punch to the gut, and for a moment, you can’t bring yourself to look away.
Tumblr media
It is now the present and you feel better, but you haven’t fully healed from the trauma just yet. You were so determined to distract yourself from the pain that you had thrown yourself into work and your blog that you had created as an escape from the world.
The rhythm of curating content helps clear your mind, and you even rediscover hobbies you had set aside for too long in the midst of it all. You hadn't given up on love entirely but forced yourself to keep your mind occupied so that the pain would be the least of your worries.
Whenever the emotions and stress of work start to overwhelm you, you lean on your friends, finding comfort in their support and understanding. It’s not a perfect fix, but it helps you push forward, one step at a time.
Ever since you decided to swamp yourself with work, you started to find new friendships with the other rookies and drivers on the grid.
Pepe Martí is someone you’ve seen around before, but you’ve never really interacted with much. You were always mostly with Paul or Ollie, sometimes Isack, Pepe’s teammate, but you barely crossed each other’s paths unless it came to media or updates regarding the F2 socials.
Unexpectedly, as you start to bump into him more often, you start noticing his presence just a bit more. At first, it’s casual—a quick hello in passing, a smile shared before he goes on his way. But soon, it feels like more.
You start to notice how often your paths cross, as if the universe is aligning in subtle ways, but you digress, since you were way too focused on yourself and work to even think about anything else.
Soon enough, you find yourself hanging around the Campos Racing garage during the next few races. What catches you off guard is how warm and attentive Pepe is whenever you’re there to have a casual chat or just to relax before they get on track.
In every conversation, whether it’s about racing or something completely unrelated, he listens with genuine interest.
There’s no rush, no forced small talk. It’s as if he cares about what you’re saying, and that’s something you didn’t realize you’d been missing.
You first notice it one afternoon when you’re at the F2 paddock, buried in your phone and laptop as you work on a new blog post. A familiar voice interrupts your focus.
“Hey,” Pepe says, leaning against the fence next to you with a casual smile. His presence is relaxed but unwavering, as if he’s just always there. “I saw your latest post about the Monaco Grand Prix. That was pretty solid. You have a real way with words.”
You glance up, a little surprised by the compliment, but you return his smile. “Thanks,” you reply, trying to keep your voice steady. “I’ve been diving into the details a bit more lately.”
You weren't used to compliments on things like your blog, but when someone notices how much work you put in, you can’t help but feel bashful.
Pepe nods, clearly interested. “I can tell. I didn’t realize you knew so much about the strategy behind it all.”
“F1 is a lot more than just the race itself,” you explain, feeling a spark of excitement. “It’s the stories, the tactics, the behind-the-scenes stuff that gets missed.”
He seems genuinely engaged. “You should do a piece on how the strategy changes with the weather conditions next time. It’d be interesting to see your take on it.”
You blink in surprise, almost speechless. “That’s a great idea, actually,” you admit, a little flustered.
Pepe grins. “Glad you think so. I’ll be reading it when it’s up.” He straightens up, giving you a wink before walking away, leaving you both flattered and puzzled by his sudden interest.
‘Lock in, Y/n. God, now is not the time to be flustered because of a guy,’ you try to shake off the feeling but can’t help but feel a newfound sense of appreciation towards Pepe.
Tumblr media
Over the next few days, you notice Pepe around more. It starts with small things—asking for your opinion on the latest race results, asking if you’re going to any of the after-race events, or simply offering a casual “Hey, how’s the blog going?” when he sees you walking between the pits.
Each time, his words are light but thoughtful, as though he’s genuinely interested, not just making small talk. There’s no rush to any of his actions, no pressure—just a quiet confidence that feels both comforting and intriguing.
One evening, after a long day of racing, you find him sitting in the garage and staring out at the grandstand as he is looking up at the sunset. You walk over, hesitant but curious.
“Mind if I join?” you ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
He looks up, his smile warm and easy. “Not at all. The view’s better with company, anyway.”
You sit down next to him, and for a few moments, there’s just the hum of the distant engines and the warmth of the setting sun. Then, quietly, Pepe turns toward you.
“I like how you see things,” he says, his voice sincere. “The way you talk about the races, the details... it’s like you bring a whole new perspective to it. Not many people see it the way you do.” You look at him, surprised by his words.
“I’m just... trying to share the side of it people don’t always notice. You know, the stuff that’s hidden.” Pepe nods slowly, as if processing your words. “Yeah, I get that. You have a way of making the unseen things feel important.”
For a moment, you both sit in comfortable silence, the connection between you growing deeper with each passing second. He doesn’t push. He doesn’t rush. He’s just there, a steady presence, showing up when you least expect it.
And slowly, it starts to feel like maybe this quiet, consistent attention is something more than just friendly banter.
It wasn’t noticeable at first—mostly small gestures that you brush off as coincidence.
One morning, after a particularly tough day at the track, you’re buried in your laptop, trying to finish up a blog post, when you hear footsteps behind you.
You look up to find Pepe standing there, holding out a Red Bull can in your direction with a small smile.
“Figured you could use this,” he says, his voice casual but thoughtful. “You looked like you could use a pick-me-up.”
You blink, surprised by the gesture. Energy drinks weren’t exactly your choice of drink when it came to caffeine, but you were grateful for the drink. “Thanks, I really appreciate it.”
Pepe shrugs, a playful glint in his eyes. “No problem. I’ve been there—long days, late nights. Thought a Red Bull might help since I don’t really like coffee.”
You accept the drink and open it, feeling a warmth spread through you—not from the Red Bull, but from the kindness in his eyes.
It’s not the first time he’s done something like this. The more you think about it, the more you realize that, over the past few weeks, he’s been going out of his way to make sure you feel seen—whether it’s checking in on how your day’s going or making sure you’re okay during hectic moments.
As the days pass, he starts sharing stories about his own struggles in racing—how he’s dealt with pressure, the challenges of balancing his personal life with his career (not to mention the shitty luck he’d been having lately).
His openness catches you off guard, and you find yourself listening intently, feeling a connection you didn’t expect.
“You’d be surprised how much racing can mess with your head sometimes,” he says one afternoon, leaning against a wall as he talks. “But you have to push through, even when everything feels off.”
His words linger with you long after the conversation ends. And for the first time, you see him in a new light—not just as someone who’s kind and attentive, but as someone who truly understands the ups and downs of life, someone who knows how to make you feel special without even trying.
Tumblr media
Despite Pepe’s kindness lately, you hesitate. Every time he goes out of his way to make you feel special, you can’t help but feel a flutter in your chest, but something pulls you back.
Your mind still lingers on Paul—the way he smiled at her, the way his presence felt so magnetic, even from a distance. It’s like an anchor you can’t shake, a feeling you’re not ready to let go of.
One night, unable to sleep, you find yourself texting your closest friend, Marina. You vent about everything—how much you’re drawn to Pepe’s attention, but how you feel stuck on Paul, unable to move past the crush that was never meant to be.
Your Marina’s reply comes almost immediately. "You’re holding onto something that wasn’t yours to begin with. Paul is in a relationship, and no matter how much you wish it were different, you deserve more than just hoping for a chance."
The words hit harder than you expect, and you feel the truth in them—like a weight lifting off your chest. You pause, staring at the screen, then take a deep breath. "I know," you text back. "I’m just scared to let go."
Your friend’s response is simple but reassuring: "Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting. It just means making space for something that’s actually real."
You close your eyes for a moment, letting those words sink in. And for the first time, you feel the weight of holding onto Paul begin to lift, replaced by a quiet sense of clarity. Maybe you’re ready to move forward.
Tumblr media
It’s late one evening, and you find yourself talking to Pepe again, this time in the quiet of a nearly empty garage after a long day of media and racing.
The conversation starts off light, but as the hours pass, something shifts. You’re sitting across from him, both of you exhausted but not ready to call it a night.
Without warning, Pepe looks at you, his usual playful demeanor replaced by something more earnest.
“You know,” he says, his voice softer than usual, “I really admire how you handle everything. I’ve seen the way you juggle work, racing, everything. You’ve got this strength about you that’s... rare. It’s not just about how you push through tough times, but the way you stay true to yourself, even when everything feels impossible.”
You blink, caught off guard by the sincerity in his words. “I... don’t know what to say.”
“You don’t have to say anything,” he replies, his gaze steady. “I just think you’re incredible. And I don’t think enough people tell you that.”
His words catch you off guard, and something inside you stirs—a warmth, a flutter of something new. The walls you’ve carefully built around yourself begin to crack, just a little.
It’s not just the compliment itself, but the way he says it—without any expectation, no hidden motive. Just pure, honest admiration.
You look at him, really look at him, and for the first time, you begin to see him in a new light. He’s not just kind and attentive—he’s genuine, and that genuineness makes everything about him feel different, something you didn’t expect.
You sit in silence for a moment, letting his words settle in. The weight of the day, the pressure of expectations, and the uncertainty that’s been following you around seem to melt away, if only for a brief second.
You didn’t realize how much you needed to hear that—to be seen, really seen, for who you are and not just what you do.
Pepe shifts a little, his gaze still warm and steady. “I know and understand that it’s not easy. I’ve seen how much effort you put into everything you do. But don’t forget that you deserve to have someone see you for the amazing person you are, not just for what you’re capable of.”
You swallow, blinking away the unexpected emotion. The vulnerability in his words makes your heart ache, but in a way that feels freeing, like a weight lifting off your shoulders. “I... don’t know if I believe that,” you admit, your voice softer than you expected.
“You will,” he says with a smile that makes your chest flutter. “Because you’re worth it. You’ve always been worth it.”
The sincerity in his eyes, the quiet but powerful way he expresses his admiration—it breaks through the last of the walls you’ve built up around yourself.
In that moment, you realize how much he’s not just seen you, but understood you. And maybe, just maybe, it’s time to start seeing him, too, not as someone in the background of your thoughts, but as someone who could be a part of your future.
Suddenly, you realize that this connection with him could be more than just a passing feeling.
Tumblr media
As the days pass, you find yourself spending more time with Pepe—whether it's during work events, casual hangouts, or just those quiet moments where the world seems to slow down. And with each interaction, you begin to notice the little things that set him apart.
It’s in the way he listens when you talk, really listens, as if he values every word you say. He doesn't just hear you; he understands you.
When you ramble on about your latest fashion idea or a new post you're planning for your blog, he’s there, nodding along, offering insights or just genuinely interested in what excites you. He makes you feel like your passions are important, even if they seem trivial to others.
And then there’s the way he encourages you, not just with words, but in his actions. When you doubt yourself, he’s there to remind you of your strength, to tell you that you’re capable of so much more than you realize.
It’s the little things—those quiet words of encouragement when you need them most—that make you feel seen in ways you hadn’t expected.
But perhaps most of all, it’s the care he shows for your happiness. It’s the way he asks about your day, not because he feels he has to, but because he genuinely wants to know.
How your day went, if you’re feeling okay, if there's anything he can do to make things better. It’s a kindness you didn’t know you needed, and slowly, you begin to realize that these small acts—these simple gestures—are what make him someone truly special.
When things aren’t going as smoothly for him, you’re there to support him in the same way. You’re with him through the highs and the lows, whether it’s during a frustrating race where he’s forced to retire early or a weekend where things just don’t seem to click.
After a no-finish result in one of the races, you tell him: “You gave it your all. It wasn’t your day, but I know you'll bounce back.” It’s the small, thoughtful words that show him you care, even when he’s at his lowest.
Then comes the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. You’re watching the race unfold, and your stomach drops when you see his car lose control and crash.
You hold your breath, your heart pounding, as the screen cuts away. Your thoughts race until you hear an update confirming that he’s okay, but you can’t help but worry. You know he’s going to be shaken up, even if it doesn’t show.
You’re one of the first people to get to the medical bay after the crash. When you walk in, Pepe is sitting on the bed, his helmet off, his face a mix of frustration and exhaustion.
His eyes meet yours, and for a moment, there's a silence between you. He’s still processing everything that just happened.
“Hey," you say softly, approaching him. "You good?"
He gives a small, tired smile. "Yeah, just... it's frustrating, you know? I thought I had it under control, but... things happen. Not to mention the lock up we had the other day,"
You pull up a chair beside him, sitting down without a second thought. "I saw it. But you’re here, and that’s all that matters." You place a hand on his arm, offering a quiet reassurance. "I’m just glad you're okay."
He meets your eyes, his expression softening. "Thanks for being here," he says, his voice sincere. "It means a lot, more than you know."
For a moment, you just sit there together, the chaos of the race weekend fading into the background. And as you talk about the race, his crash, and what’s next, you realize just how much you care—not just for his career, but for him.
The connection you share feels deeper than ever, something solid and real.
Tumblr media
After everything—the highs and lows, the moments of doubt and clarity—you find yourself standing at a crossroads.
You think about all the times you’ve hesitated, the moments you almost pulled away, unsure if you were ready to move on, still clinging to a love that never was. But as you look at Pepe, sitting beside you, as present and steady as he’s always been, something clicks.
It’s not just the way he’s supported you, or how he’s always seen the best in you, even when you couldn’t see it in yourself.
It’s how he makes you feel, not just valued, but cherished for exactly who you are—the messy, complex, imperfect you. In his eyes, you’re enough. And for the first time in a long time, you believe it, too.
Pepe’s kindness, patience, and unwavering support have shown you a kind of love that’s not based on fleeting moments or unattainable ideals. It’s real. It’s grounded. And more than anything, it’s filled with hope—a hope you hadn’t realized you’d lost until now.
So, when he looks at you, his gaze filled with something deeper than friendship, you finally allow yourself to take the leap. You smile, a little unsure, but ready. “Pepe, I think I’m ready for this.”
He grins, his eyes lighting up with a warmth that makes your heart flutter. “Me too,” he says, his voice low and genuine. “I’ve been waiting for you to be ready.”
In that moment, you know, with certainty, that you’ve chosen the right path. You’re not just moving on—you’re moving forward, with someone who will walk beside you every step of the way, supporting you, loving you, and reminding you that you’re worthy of all the happiness you’ve been seeking.
Tumblr media
Epilogue:
Months have passed since you and Pepe decided to give love a real shot, and life has never felt brighter. His unwavering presence and quiet strength have become your anchor, and the happiness you’ve found together is undeniable.
The laughter you share, the quiet moments together, and the way he looks at you with so much care and love, it all fills you with a peace you didn’t know was possible.
It’s the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, and Pepe is in peak form. You’re on the edge of your seat, clutching your puppy’s leash as the race unfolds.
When Pepe crosses the finish line in first place, the roar of the crowd barely registers as you’re too busy cheering alongside his parents with all your might.
Later, you meet him in parc fermé, tears of joy in your eyes as he steps out of the car. He doesn’t hesitate, pulling you into a tight hug, his helmet still tucked under his arm.
“I couldn’t have done it without you,” he whispers, his words meant just for you despite the bustling celebrations around you.
That evening, you’re by his side as the team celebrates his victory. The champagne flows, and the glow of his achievement lights up the room. But it’s the quiet moments you share—when he leans over to steal a kiss and murmurs how much you mean to him—that remind you how lucky you are.
The next day, as you’re strolling through the paddock together, you catch sight of Paul in the distance.
He’s talking to someone, but his eyes briefly flicker to you and Pepe. His expression shifts for just a second—an unrecognizable look you can’t quite place—but you don’t dwell on it.
Pepe squeezes your hand, and your attention snaps back to him. He’s smiling at you in that way that makes your heart race, the way that reminds you of why you chose him. The life you’ve built together is filled with love, laughter, and hope—and you wouldn’t trade it for anything.

i'mgonnagetyouback pt. 2 | max verstappen
part 1
summary: max is determined to win y/n back before leaving las vegas and an unexpected reunion at the hotel's pool might be just what he needed
warnings: none
word count: 1.5k
a/n: okay so i wasn't actually planning on doing a part 2 to this but a few people requested it and since i'm a pathological people pleaser here it its !!
Tumblr media
“okay so, step one.” charles’s voice caughts his attention.
if max was gonna get y/n back, he needed to do it that weekend, she was leaving for her other tour dates and he had other races, and he needed a plan. that’s where charles, daniel and lando come in.
“break up with your girlfriend.” the monegasque continues. the other two men in the room nod, agreeing with the ferrari driver.
the second y/n’s concert finished, max felt the urge to go running backstage to her just like old times, but his plans were interrupted by the women he went to the concert with in the first place. his girlfriend wanted nothing more than to go back to the hotel and her daughter was too exhausted to even walk in a straight line, so he took them both to the hotel and then ran into charles’s room to create a plan, calling daniel and lando to join them.
“you’re right.” max says.
the thought of breaking up with his current girlfriend has been on the back of his mind for a while now. he didn’t really wanted to accept it, but he’s been in love with y/n all this time and it just wasn’t fair to be with someone else. step one was the most urgent.
“step two, call y/n and tell her that you wanna talk to her.” daniel speaks this time.
this one was the step he was the most nervous about. they haven’t talked for ten months and now suddenly he was thinking of getting back together, i mean, what if she moved on already? just because he hasn’t doesn’t mean she didn’t either; but he remembered her singing a few hours ago about getting him back, even if it was just to punch him in the face. he would take what he can get.
“maybe mention that you went to see her show as well.” lando adds.
“what if she thinks i’m a creep or something?” charles gives him an incredulous look.
“mate, come on, you’re her ex, not some random dude.” max nods again and felt the stress of anticipation already creeping in.
“it’ll be fine, max, nothing to worry about.” daniel tries to reassure him and lando smiles at him in the same way.
he exhales and stands up from the chair he was seated on.
“i should go back to my room. start things with the right foot.” they all agree with him and wish him good luck.
when he got back to his room, he saw his girlfriend’s daughter already asleep on her bed and his girlfriend laying down and watching something on tv. he prepared himself internally and went into the room.
“hey.” he says. “can we talk?”
he was quick. it was as uncomfortable as breaking up with someone is, but he felt a bit relieved after. she tried to persuade him into thinking about it, he said he didn’t want to hurt her. he told her they could stay at that room and he would just ask for another at the reception, she agreed. she asked if this was because of y/n, he stayed silent for a moment. he couldn’t lie, not that it was all already out there, and y/n was not a secret he had to hide to anyone. he said yes. she asked him to get out. he did.
max went down to the hotel’s reception and asked for an extra room. since it was a bit late at night they asked him to wait an hour until they arranged one of the suites for him. he agreed without complaining and was about to head back to charles’s room, however, already on the elevator he impulsively pressed the button for the last floor that took him directly to the pool. it was dark and there was no one there, the dim lights on the inside of the pool being the only lightning.
he walked over to the balcony and admired the view of las vegas beneath him, from his position he could see the whole downtown, including the track that he would be driving that weekend. if he wouldn’t have been too distracted he would have heard the sound of small steps going his way, stopping right at the entrance.
you thought you were seeing things, or that you had gone mad. you blink twice, and when he didn’t disappear, you knew max verstappen was standing right in front of you. you could recognize him anywhere.
the uncomfortable burning feeling of being looked at got the best of him and he finally turned around. he didn’t say anything, thinking it was his imagination playing games, but it wasn’t, you were right there, just mere inches away from him.
“y/n.” was all he could say. he figured a hello would be the way to go. “hey.”
you looked just as shocked as he was, but that didn’t stop you from answering.
“hi, max.” your voice was more confident than how you actually felt.
you had just done a three hour show and just wanted to relax a bit in the pool before going back to your room, and now you were there, facing your ex-boyfriend.
“you’re staying here?” he asks, regretting it instantly because of course you were.
“yeah.” you answer, not moving a single centimeter. “i have a few shows this weekend.” you explain.
“i know.” he says, almost too quickly. you arch a brow at him but don’t say anything. “i’m racing here this weekend.” you nod.
“i know.” you copy his answer, although you take a few more moments to say it.
“i went to your show.” he says out of nowhere.
this shocks you even more than before because what does he mean he went to your show?
“what?” is all that you could mumble.
“tonight.” he clarifies. “i went to see you. i hope you don’t think that’s… inappropriate.” his eyes finally leave yours and he looks at the pool instead.
“i don’t think… why would it be inappropriate?” you ask, a bit flabbergasted still. “i don’t think that.”
he nods relieved to hear you say that.
“so you went to the show?” you ask again. “you heard me sing all those songs?” you question, a bit shy.
“yeah, it was incredible.” he smiles at you. “you’re the most talented person i know.”
this makes you blush because he still has that power over you. you couldn’t manage to thank him for the compliment, so you just smiled at him, which was enough for him.
“i liked your surprise song.” he states, more confident this time.
“oh.” you reply. “you did?” he nods. “yeah, i guess it’s a fun song.” you chuckle, knowing damn well you wrote it thinking about him.
this was it, he thought. this was the moment he had been fantasizing about since he stepped into the stadium that night. how to get y/n back? this was his opportunity to do something. no charles, daniel or lando to whisper in his ear. it was all him.
“is it true?” he questions.
“what?” you frown.
“what you were singing in the song?” he explains. “i’m not gonna flatter myself thinking you wrote it about me, but, did you?”
you bit your lip trying not to laugh. how could you confess that to him?
“are you asking me if i want you back?” he notices that you ignored his question, but he didn’t care.
“i know i do.” you looked at him for a few seconds too long, processing his answer.
“i thought you had a girlfriend?” you mumble and he shakes his head.
“we’re not together anymore.” finally, he moves slowly from the other end of the balcony toward you and you remain still. “i’ve always been yours.”
you look at him properly this time, you could see every detail of his face now with how close he was to you and you felt like the ten months you haven’t talked to him hadn’t passed at all.
“and i can understand if you moved on already, but i must tell you i haven’t, for me it has always been you.”
the reasons of why you had broken up all those months ago seemed so silly now. he wasn’t a bad guy, and you weren’t a bad person. your break up wasn’t ugly, both of you had just been too busy with your crazy schedules and you thought ending things would be for the best, but not a day had passed where you didn’t regret that decision.
max was everything, and he was here in front of you, asking for a second chance.
“and when i saw you tonight at your show and i just fell more in love if that’s even possible, and i thought of all the time we wasted and i…”
you touched his face with tenderness and cut him off with a kiss that was long due.

Tumblr media
Y/N POV
"Always such a fucking brat," I hear Ollie seethe a whisper into my ear. Making me smirk softly.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Ollie," I say softly with a bright smile playing on my lips trying to fray innocence. Ollie doesn't even buy it for a split second just sending me a warning look before walking back towards his engineers to talk about the upcoming race.
I quickly turn my attention back to Kimi and resume my "flirty" which really just consisided of Kimi and I laughing over the fact that we are very clearly baiting Ollie to finally make a move.
"You're pissing him off," Kimi giggles making me look over my shoulder to find Ollie giving me a raised brow making me turn back giggling knowing our plan was going perfectly.
"The fact that it's only been you to get a rise out of him," I say making Kimi laugh and shake his head softly.
"This better work out for you guys. I still can't believe how obvious both of your guys feelings are to everyone around. Hell you even know Ollie likes you but he's so oblivious he doesn't realize how much you already like him," Kimi says laughing and shaking his head before walking to his engineers leaving me to find Ollie.
"Go back to Kimi," Ollie says not even looking up from his phone making me laugh softly.
"Ollie you cannot be serious," I say softly.
"I thought we agreed to figure out what was going on between us before talking to anyone else," Ollie says making me roll my eyes. My reaction only get Ollie to scoff and stand up letting his size tower over mine.
"Either stop being such a fucking brat or go back and giggle with Kimi," Ollie tells me in a stern voice that should problem instill a bit of fear but instead it has me clenching my thighs together.
"Are you getting off on pissing me off or is Kimi that much better then me," Ollie scoffs rolling his eyes. I can tell how mad he already is but what can I say... I like to poke the bear. (pun very intended)
"Just thinking about what Kimi was saying earlier," I say in a teasing tone before sending a smirk.
Before I can even start laughing to let Ollie know it was all a joke and he had taken the bait so easily it was like taking candy from a baby, he had me pushed against the wall with his hand around my neck.
"Wrong, wanna try that again," Ollie growls looking down at me. I can't help the moan that slips between my lips making Ollie smirk slightly.
"It was a set up," I whisper looking Ollie in the eye making his grip on my throat loosen slightly. He's looking down at me with a raised brow trying to figure out if I was lying or not.
"Kimi was tired of us being stupid. We decided to bait you into finally making a move. I've tried with Dino, Paul, HELL I even tried to bait you with fucking Charles and nada but heaven forbid I giggle with Kimi, which mind you we were laughing about how it was working," I tell him and by the time I had finished Ollie's hand around my throat had moved to my cheek.
"God, I'm more embarrassed it took me this long to realize," Ollie admits making me let out a small laugh before reaching my hands around Ollie's neck and pulling him down for a quick kiss.
The second Ollie's lips touched mine I let out a small moan before pulling him closer deepening the kiss.
"No," I whine when he pulls away.
"We're still in the paddock. When we get back to the hotel you better come to mine," Ollie tells me making me smile and nod slightly before pulling him down to steal one more kiss.
When we get back to Ollie's hotel room he's instantly dragging me towards the bed and before he pushes me down he quickly pulls off my shorts and shirt leaving me in the matching black bra and panties set I had put on this morning.
"Did you know this was gonna happen?" Ollie asks with a smirk while rubbing his fingers lightly over the lace of my bra.
"I hoped so," I admit letting my blush creep onto my cheeks. I glance down noticing that Ollie was still fully dressed I quickly tug at the bottom of his Ferrari team kit before pulling it off his body with Ollie's help.
Once he's shirtless Ollie quickly pushes me onto the bed hoovering over my body before leaning down and pulling me in for a heated kiss.
When I feel Ollie's lips trailing down my cheeks and neck I let out a soft moan when he bites down before sucking softly I'm sure will leave a mark behind. He leaves a few more scattered around my neck and chest before trailing his mouth down my pussy.
When he reaches his destination he spreads my legs further just staring at my soaked pussy for a split second.
"How are you already drenched?" Ollie asks with a smirk but before I can even answer him back he's licking a long strip from my leaking hole up to my throbbing clit where he pulls it into his mouth making me moan loudly.
"Fuck Ollie!" I cry out when he starts flicking his tongue over my sensitive clit.
"Taste so good," Ollie mumbles into my pussy making me whimper at the vibrations. Ollie only attaches his mouth back to my clit completely ignoring my cries of pleasure.
"Shit!" I cry out when I feel two of Ollie's fingers slip into my pussy finding my G-spot almost instantly making me arch my back off the bed from the stimulation.
"So good," I moan when Ollie starts fucking his fingers into my pussy while still teasing my clit. I can already feel my orgasm starting to build which has Ollie pulling away and smirking at me.
"No!" I cry out in a whine making Ollie laugh at me in a mocking manner.
"Awe, you thought I'd let you cum that easy?" Ollie asks with a smirk making me whimper. I always kind of figured Ollie was gonna be the dominant type but I'm still shocked by how dominant he truly is.
"Ollie, please I've been waiting for this moment," I beg making Ollie shake and head before flipping my body over so I'm now on my stomach but before I can even catch my breath he's pulling my hips up leaving me on all fours.
"Ow! Oliver," I cry out when I feel his slap ring out against my ass.
"Awe... did that hurt? Tuff luck I'm gonna do it again," Ollie says while he sends down another harsh slap to my ass.
"Fuck," I moan only resulting in Ollie spanking me again. He repeated this process until my ass was glowing a bright shade of red.
"So pretty," Ollie's voice rings out before he's burying two of his fingers into my pussy again making me whimper. From the new angle Ollie is hitting my G-spot with perfect precision every time.
"I'm close," I cry when I feel my orgasm start to build again but just like last time Ollie is pulling his fingers out just before I can tumble over the edge.
"Oliver! Please I need to cum," I cry out as I'm turning back onto my back to look Ollie in the eyes.
"Get on your knees and beg then," Ollie tells me with a smirk instantly making me sit up straighter and push him away from hoovering over me resulting in him standing up and taking a few steps back. When I climb off of bed I instantly sink onto my knees in front of Ollie.
I make quick work of unbottoming his pants and pulling them down a long with his briefs. Once his hard cock is freed I can't help the small whimper I let out in shock of his size.
Ollie quickly steps out of his pants and steps a bit closer so his cock was almost touching my lips.
I lean forward and take his throbbing cock into my hand and take a small lick on the tip of his cock. The hiss he lets out at the small stimulation gives me the courage I need to take the tip of his cock into my mouth.
"When I said that, it was a joke," Ollie says breathlessly but still wastes no time wrapping his fingers into my hair and pushing me farther down his cock.
"Fuck," Ollie groans out when my nose hits the trimmed patch of hair at the base of his cock.
I start bobbing my head on Ollie's cock making his grip in my hair tighten. As I have Ollie deep in my mouth I bring one of my hands up and start playing with his balls making him groan out and throw his head back in pleasure.
"No," I whine as Ollie pulls me off his cock.
"You cock hungry whore, I want to cum while fucking you," Ollie says while leaving down do we're face to face with each other. He places a few quick kisses down on my wet lips before standing back up straight and helping me stand.
Once we are both back on the bed Ollie has me in missionary teasing my clit with the tip of his cock while he peppers kisses all along my neck and collarbones leaving small bite marks and hickeys in his wake.
"Ollie! Please!" I cry out no longer being able to handle his relentless teasing.
"Be a good girl and you'll get what you want," Ollie says with a smirk and sliding deeply into my pussy with one thrust.
"Oh fuck," I cry out arching my back off the bed feeling my self be filled in ways I've never experienced before.
Ollie wastes no time thrusting into my pussy at a quick speed making me continue to cry out loudly in pleasure.
"Fuck! Ollie! So fucking good," I moan loudly through thrusts making Ollie smirk down at me before leaning down slightly to place a kiss on my lips.
"Are you always this fucking loud?" Ollie asks while picking up his thrusts into a rougher pace.
"Too good," I cry out again making Ollie smirk.
"Too good? You better get used to it," Ollie teases while using his fingers to start teasing my clit.
"Fuck, I'm gonna cum if you keep doing that," I cry out only making Ollie speed all his actions up.
"Cum for me," Ollie grunts out.
"Shit!" I cry out while I feel my orgasm wash over me.
"Fuck, I'm cumming," Ollie grunts out while I still feel my orgasm washing over me.
"I'm gonna put a baby in you," Ollie grunts out while I feel his cum filling me up.
"Fuck Ollie," I moan feeling the final wave of my orgasm end while Ollie is slowly pulling out of my pussy.
"I think our families would kill us if we got pregnant coming into your rookie season," I tease making Ollie laugh while pulling me into his hold and taking me into the bathroom with him.
"Do your business and we can shower after," Ollie tells me softly while a small laugh is falling from his lips. He sets me down on the toilet and moves to turn the shower on.
Once I was done I climb into the shower after Ollie and instantly wrapping my arms around his bare torso.
"Sorry it took me forever," Ollie says while looking down at me.
"I mean if I get fucked like that for waiting we can go back whatever we were before," I tease making Ollie's cheeks heat up.
"I can just fuck you like that, because now that you're mine we aren't doing any of that waiting bullshit," Ollie says with a small laugh falling from his lips.
Once we finished the shower Ollie gave me one of his shirts to wear and we both climbed back into bed. When Ollie grabs his phone he notices a few texts from Kimi.
Before he can even answer them his phone starts ringing with an incoming FaceTime.
"What's up," Ollie asks while laying on his back and looking up to the phone. He intentionally kepted me out of the camera view.
"Did you finally get the girl?" Kimi asks clearly frustrated that Ollie had been ignoring him.
"Cause that's the only acceptable answer for not answering my messages," Kimi adds making Ollie laugh.
"I saw you with her, assumed she would be with you," Ollie tells him making me shake my head and pinch his side.
"Bro, I know Y/N is there with you!" Kimi exclaims with laughing. I end up laughing revealing that he was correct.
We ended up talking with Kimi for a little bit before we got off the phone and fell asleep in each others arms.

Ollie had known Y/N for as long as he could remember. He first met the girl with y/h/c hair in elementary school. Ollie remembered the six-year-old Y/N approaching the seven-year-old Ollie, taking his hand, and saying, "You're my boyfriend." At the time, young Ollie had bolted away from her, and every time he saw her, he'd hide. That was until the day Y/N decided she wanted another boy to be the father of her dolls and chose the boy who always ran from her to be her best friend.
Today, all Ollie wanted was for his best friend to see him in a different light. Not that Ollie was afraid to make a move, as he was popular among the girls, but he was afraid that Y/N would distance herself from him as she did with any other boy who wasn't Ethan – a guy Ollie disliked.
What did that blond boy, who played football, have that he didn't? He raced a car at almost 200 km/h and was afraid to compete with someone who kicked a ball.
He couldn't recall when he started having feelings for Y/N. Maybe it was during his first race when she showed up wearing a shirt with his number, or perhaps it was during the countless nights they spent talking at each other's houses. It might have been when he saw his best friend cry over Ethan, either because they had broken up or because they weren't speaking. The fact that he couldn't remember didn't change anything, but he simply wanted to be able to call her his. His girl. His girlfriend. Not just his best friend.
One sunny afternoon, Ollie and Y/N found themselves sitting in the park, chatting away about various topics, as they often did. The laughter flowed effortlessly, and the warmth of their friendship was evident. Ollie knew that he had to find the courage to confess his feelings soon, and he couldn't think of a better place to do it.
As they watched the children playing on the swings, Ollie's heart raced, and he decided it was now or never. He cleared his throat, trying to find the right words.
"Y/N, there's something I've been wanting to tell you for a while," Ollie began, his voice trembling ever so slightly.
Y/N turned to him, her eyes curious. "What is it, Ollie?"
Ollie took a deep breath and looked deeply into her eyes. "Y/N, you mean the world to me. You've been my best friend for as long as I can remember, and I cherish every moment we've spent together. But lately, I've started to feel something more, something beyond friendship. I don't know when it happened, but I've fallen for you, Y/N."
For a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Y/N looked at Ollie, her eyes wide with surprise. The weight of his confession hung in the air, and Ollie felt like his heart was in his throat.
Y/N's expression softened, and she reached out to gently touch Ollie's hand. "Ollie, I... I don't know what to say."
Ollie couldn't help but feel a pang of anxiety. Had he just ruined their friendship? Would she distance herself from him?
But then Y/N smiled, a warm and genuine smile that made Ollie's heart skip a beat. "You know, Ollie, I've been waiting for you to say that for a long time."
Ollie's eyes widened in surprise. "You have?"
Y/N nodded. "Yes, I have. I've been feeling the same way, Ollie. I just didn't want to ruin our friendship by saying anything. But now that you've said it, I can't hold back any longer. I've fallen for you too."
Relief and happiness washed over Ollie. He couldn't believe his luck. "Y/N, you have no idea how happy that makes me."
With a mixture of excitement and relief in the air, Ollie and Y/N leaned closer to each other. The world seemed to fade away as they closed the distance between them, their hearts pounding in anticipation. Their lips met in a soft and tender kiss, sealing the confession of their feelings.
It was a gentle, sweet kiss, filled with the promise of a new beginning. Ollie's hand cupped Y/N's cheek, and her fingers gently threaded through his hair as they shared a moment that had been a long time coming.
