Progress Update: January 23 2023

Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re having a lovely week! 💚

Well, I learned something that I kind of already knew about myself. If I say: ‘I’ll think about it’, then I really think about anything other than ‘it’ and procrastinate until someone asks me the same question again. (Yes, it’s an utter joy deciding what to eat for dinner with me. /s 😌) It has been 15 18 (I meant to post this earlier) days since Book One’s release, and it sometimes still feels like the first day of release…

…But, I’m also seeing more comments/reactions from people finishing up their first playthrough or even a third/fourth, which helps to cast off that feeling and makes me eager to delve back into where I left off with Book Two. I’ve also been playing Book One—a few select pathways to ensure that foreshadowing or links I have outlined for future chapters neatly dovetail. There will be plenty of a-ha moments within the series because I love giving little details big meanings!

Re-playing Book One has also helped me further isolate those variables I mentioned in the last update that should be called on in Book Two and beyond. I’ve also been studying the random test readouts and color-coding them to make sure I’m not letting any slip through the cracks. All of this legwork is important when building the recaps and the level of character customization at the start of Book Two. I know not everyone is going to want to pick with exacting detail what flower the MC’s grandfather gifted them for school graduations/events, but some of you might want to since many of you have experienced how it does come up again. 💐 The levels will let readers who don’t choose to import set their own degree of detail; some might want to get right into Book Two’s story, while others will want to mold their MCs.

(I recommend eventually importing saves, but that’s in the future since Hosted Games enables this feature closer to the next book’s release!)

It’s more than 80 distinct story variables that can be filled in multiple ways (e.g. the flower is a single variable, but it has 6 different potential fills for it from a daisy to a forget-me-not) without counting the obvious gender-setting, height, aesthetics, personality stats, etc. It’s a lot! But, I’m proud and happy to account for them all so you get a meaningful experience while in Fernweh. 

Some variables will naturally be called on more than others, but I wanted them all coded-in and largely accounted for in the recaps to not tie my hands while I’m writing. (*hint*: that one choice in Chapter 6 that earned a lot of reactions will come up very early in Book Two. 👀) I can always go back and adjust later. I’ve been re-familiarizing myself with all of this^ to get back into things.

when you first did this, he was out of breath, panting. izuku takes time to regain composure— from the pleasant time that was spent being pressed up against you

the moment made his heart skip a beat, but when he was still trying to catching his breath— you suddenly reached for his fist, and fist bumped him

then, he’s like 👁👄👁❓and it definitely caught him off guard— like,, out of all things, he wasn’t expecting that

“Y/N? what was,, that?” he’s still red in the face, but he’s puzzled by your sudden fist bump.

“hm, a fist bump, just because.” you ruffled his hair “good work, izuku!”

i mean,, he’s confused, sure. but he’s quite pleased with himself, knowing that he’s done a great job to the point that you even had to verbally clarify.

he’s definitely still confused, since you didn’t actually explain why. but nonetheless, he stays observant

the next time you guys get rather,, heated, and close— izuku makes sure to observe what your next move would be

like,, is the fist bump a one time thing? he must know!

before he knew it, it wasn’t just a one time occurence. once your breath regulated, you fist bumped him once again.

“good work!” you press your lips against his freckled cheek. even though izuku wanted to ask, he decides to leave that for another time

the next day, he approaches you in his usual manner— but this time, he’s equipped with his notebook and pen

“do you usually do that after we,, get particularly close?” he clicks his pen, ready to take down notes

so— he wanted to take notes about your habit 😳 his note taking habit wasn’t new, he wrote about every important detail about you in that notebook

you would’ve guessed that the dirty minded izuku in him popped out, but he’s genuinely curious 😭

“hmm,, i think so, yeah. i also do that whenever we finish training, right?” omg so now that’s going to be engraved in his mind, whenever you guys finish training now

he’s really just taking notes, so when he’s kinda out of it— and you do it again, he won’t be like 😃❓ ‘HUH??’ so yeah, it’s for memory

takes note of it, and sometimes— he’ll even take initiative, holding his fist up for a fist bump even if you’re the one that’s completely out of it

but once you start, don’t stop. if you just go even one day without fist bumping him

Hello, I'm bigblackdog! I'm almost 30, and I've been active in fandom on various platforms for about seven years now. I'm latina/e and live in the u.s. with a small white dog.

Q: How did you start creating in the fandom? What did you wish to bring into the fandom? 

A: Like a lot of fans I started with self insert fic as a middle schooler. Sometimes the practice of self-insert gets ragged on in fandom, as if you're not doing real character work, but I think it's really cool. And if you're an under represented identity in the traditional western canon of literature, self insert is a radical practice. Making space for yourself in a story that refuses or ignores your identities is a radical act. And that's what i want to bring to fandom-- disruption and self care.

Q: What things about s/r as characters or in their relationship inspire you to create around them? 

A: Wolfstar was the first queer ship I was introduced to. I wasn't someone who arrived in fandom with my own robust queer reading skills, I needed other queers to hold my hand and introduce me to queer ships and how to find them and build them. My interest in r/s was simply a clinging to queerness I wasn't finding in other places. I really think it could have been any characters, as long as they were queer.

Q: What things would you like to highlight about the Wolfstar fandom and your experience in it? 

A: I've experienced ups and downs in the wolfstar fandom. It often feels like the wolfstar fandom is willing to engage in discussion about every political issue but race. And the few people who are trying to talk about race consistently encounter this silence. It's hard not to feel bitter. But i've also met some amazing people and overall feel that fans really are trying their best to be welcoming and inclusive.

Q: What type of content do you wish you saw more in the fandom? 

A: I want to see more discourse that aims at amplifying underrepresented voices like wolfstar-in-color. I want to see more fans of color joyfully and irreverently writing themselves into the magical world!

Q: What is your favourite wolfstar fancontent (fic/fanart/gifset/etc) and how does it inspire you? 

A: I love dontthinkonithermione's rp. Not only does she do an amazing nerdy know it all Hermione, she envisions Black characters in every corner of the hp world. Have you seen her Hogwarts p.e. professor rps? i love the space she creates for herself, and the joy she does it with.

Q: Which of your own identities inform your creative processes? How has that process been for you? 

A: I started out in fandom really trying to feel out the nooks and crannies of being queer. As i've spent more time in fandom and become more confident in my queerness I've started looking closer at some of my other identities-- Latina, mixed, adhd-- and how i can squeeze them into the hp world. For a long time it was hard, especially with being Latine and mixed, to envision how that identity could belong in a 90s British boarding school in the Scottish wilderness. I also really struggled with the feeling that i would get "diversity" wrong. I’ve also struggled with feeling like I have to write diversity because i'm an underrepresented voice. Brown people are often pressured to do the work of educating white people about racism and in fandom spaces that often means pressure to write the reality of racism instead of the fantasy that white writers get to play with. And sometimes i just want to write a pwp without worrying about the revolution, you know? But i really love fandom for its refusal to play by the rules of capitalism and canon, eventually i started to feel like putting more of myself into my writing was another rule i could break.

Q: What advice do you have for other content creators with diverse backgrounds in the fandom? What would you say to people that might feel they don’t have the “right” history/experience/characteristics to participate in the creation of content related to Wolfstar? 

First, there's a lot of content on tumblr that aims to silence your voice, learn how to recognize the difference between cancel culture and encouragement. Sometimes content that seems well meaning still presents writing diversity as a list of black and white rules (and virtue signaling) instead of encouragement for underrepresented voices to share their own messy experience. Set those rules gently aside. Second, fandom is built on the idea that the author isn't the only person who gets to play. we all get to play. It doesn't always feel like we were invited, but the great thing about fandom is there is no barrier to entry, no prior experience or publishing hoops to jump through. This is our playground too. If canon is dead then why can't our stories be brown and queer and neurodivergent? Third, find your people. i've found that having just one other person to talk about race with has made the whole space feel more welcoming.

Q: How could we build a more diverse fandom? 

A: We have to stop prioritizing white and cis male voices. We recognize that policing irl is a problem inextricable from whiteness and maleness, but we don't see that fandom policing online is also a problem deeply embedded in whiteness and maleness. White and cis male people frequently use their discomfort with difficult topics to change the subject from a critical discussion to one that prioritizes their white and/or male feelings. The same thing happens online when personal discomfort is used to cancel or undermine content that's challenging to a white or male voice. White and cis male voices are used to having their needs met above others. And we still cater to that in fandom spaces when we privilege 'fetishization' discourse over racial discourse. When we lift up bipoc and women/trans/nb voices and the issues they're concerned with we'll make fandom a more welcoming place for underrepresented voices.

Q: What’s your favourite thing to modify in Sirius’s or Remus’s characterizations to bring new perspectives to them? 

A: It really depends on the story i'm writing and what issue i'm trying to figure out. Sometimes i need Sirius to be Adhd to come to terms with my brain, sometimes i need two brown boys to fall in love and be happy against all odds.

Q: What does diversity mean to you? What does that encompass in fannish spaces? 

A: This is a hard question! I tend to think of diversity as those voices that are disenfranchised or pushed to the margins. And fannish spaces have all the same hierarchies and blind spots as other spaces. In fannish spaces there's the idea that you can curate your experience to some extent, but for marginalized voices, at least in my experience, no matter how much you curate the marginalization is still there.

Q: What are your ideas about the notions of culture and ethnicity? How do you relate to those notions? 

A: There was a time in my life where relating to my ethnicity was largely a process of recognizing larger systems of oppression and how they worked against my various identities. And for a while it was a really helpful way to frame my experiences. Now I feel a little less attached to ethnicity as like, a monolithic concept threaded through my whole life and more attached to the small things that I enjoy about my ethnicity and culture-- making a really good pot of beans, for example.

Q: Leave us with a quote or work of art that always inspires you.

November 16: Orphan Black 3x02

Continuing my adventure through Orphan Black. I feel like this was a good episode about which I don’t have many complaints, but I still... am just not getting into the season. It’s lost that spark that was so compelling in the first two seasons. I do think it’s a lot the fault of the male clones. But it also feels... like the story really shouldn’t have been finished after two seasons, but somehow going into S3, it easily could have been. Like despite all the open questions and unexplained aspects of their back story--not even obviously randomly manufactured stuff like Topside, but Dyad, the health issues, the Proletheans, even what Beth was doing--still S2 left the characters TOO settled. Cosima seems to be getting better, Sarah is ready to let Dyad be Dyad, Kira is safe, etc. So they had to introduce these sudden new obstacles. Like I said before, if it weren’t for Helena’s kidnapping, Sarah would be fine leaving Dyad be AND forgetting she knew anything of the boy clones. So it’s like everything came to a halt, even if sometimes without resolution, and then started up again pointing in another direction.

I don’t know if I’m explaining this well, but S3 really does feel like it’s tackling these totally new problems, rather than organically picking up with still-not-really-resolved issues from S2. We don’t know what the cure to the clone disease is. Helena’s pregnant, which is wild. Dyad still exists, and as long as it exists, it’ll be some kinda threat... If the show had been cancelled after S2, it would have been very unsatisfying! And yet S3 doesn’t start with probing those open story lines, but instead with a sense of calm status quo disrupted. It’s very odd.

I continue not to care about the boy clones. There should be something low key compelling about a bunch of military clones on some secret compound with their chain smoking Mommy, but... eh. First of all, what is the point of them? Their mission now is to get the Castor original. Okay. But why does the US government continue to fund them (other than we literally cannot spend military money fast enough so like why not spend it on fucking clones?)? What do they actually DO? Much like Mrs. S’s secret revolutionary friends, this plot point feels more like an Aesthetic than a story. It feels right, it feels like a thing, but then when you examine it closely, it seems to actually be about nothing.

Also, ugh, Paul. He has NO PERSONALITY. His personality is made up for whatever moment he’s in. He should have been killed off in S2. He was kept on because he’s hot, I’m not even kidding. (Allegedly hot--not my type.) Dirty Paul is right.

Helena almost salvages this story (”you are the ugliest Mark yet”) but she’s in it so little, and as I mentioned before, it bums me out that she’s just passed around from group to group as a victim every season instead of getting to be a real protagonist.

I did like Mark and Gracie and I felt like their story line has so much more left in it it. I can’t remember the specifics, other than I don’t remember Mark being killed off so early (?? was he not?), but I hope that if he’s alive they aren’t separated for too long.They’re my third favorite couple (hard to beat Donnie/Allison or Cal/Sarah, but I think they do edge out Felix/Colin for screen time alone). They have such potential to really grow together; she can learn to love him as a clone. I see all of that for them.

I didn’t think the Castor and Leda as siblings reveal was all that shocking, any more than the patent reveal. Like--duh? Why else would they take Helena to experiment on? (I mean I guess for the whole concept of cloning but... seems thin.) I just don’t know how the audience was supposed to be surprised, and I don’t think the clones should have been either.

I enjoyed seeing the Art and Sarah duo back together again, even if they seemed under-utilized. I also didn’t remember that Art/Beth was mad explicit so early. I thought that was a S4 thing. At any rate, quelle surprise. Should have left Paul for him.

I continue to love Donnie and Alison’s story line (love Donnie standing behind her so proud of her!!) but even more than previous seasons it is SO OBVIOUSLY just an entirely different show. Like I know the other clones get involved in it a little later but so far it has truly been like a few scenes from a suburban satire just migrated their way into a twisty sci fi conspiracy narrative.

And uh Cosima was in this too. I don’t know, I don’t need ruminations on death OR bloody brains. She’s back to being The Science without much of a story of her own, except now she has Scott for some banter. At least there was no Delphine today.

I’m not a big Rachel fan but at this point I feel like they’re just cruelly degrading her for little purpose. If she’s not going to be Cool Bitch Clone, what’s the point? Should have killed her at the end of S2.

This ep mostly focused on characters and stories I liked (Mark and Gracie, Art and Sarah, some Alison, some good Felix, Art, and Sarah scenes early on) and not the stories and characters I don’t (Rachel, Delphine) so I can’t complain much. But I’m mad about how much boy clone time there is, and I remain skeptical, based on what I’ve seen so far and what I remember of my feelings watching the first time, that the season will pick up, even if there is some evidence that what I’ve seen so far is just laying the groundwork for the ‘real’ plot stuff later.

(Also--Mark declaring a bunch of notebooks “junk” without......actually reading them?? The rookiest of mistakes. Did he learn nothing in the military compound in an undisclosed location?)

It is not the responsibility of art to be morally instructive. It is 100% YOUR responsibility to research something if you know you are a sensitive person, take responsibility for your self. Art does not need to be some clinical sanitized morality play, get over your weird Puritanical obsession that all art must conform to your specific world view. Either engage in challenging works or stick to children’s cartoons where you can feel ‘safe’.

I’m truly confused by this. I have no idea what are you referencing and what “inspired“ you to send me this “ask“. But I will do my best to give you something.

(It only took me this long to answer, bc I don’t log in very often.)

Let’s start with your assumption of me.

I’m not a sensitive person, in any meaning. I actually love reading and engaging in media that’s morally questionable or straight up morbid and disturbing. Some of my favorite thing are: paintings by Goya and Beksiński, folklore/mythology (in it’s most unchanged form), “Perfume“ both film and book, Hannibal tv series, true crime, to name a few. Your assumption that I’m just “a girl obsessed and only enjoying modern cartoons“ is insulting.

I actually do agree with you that art, in any form, isn’t responsible to be morally instructive, but every work of art is made to send some form of message, be an obvious one or hidden between pages. In my opinion, authors and writers should be aware of what message they want to send with their works and what messages they are sending with what and how they’re presenting.

On your “It is 100% YOUR responsibility to research something if you know you are a sensitive person, take responsibility for your self“ this is also true. But on the other hand, given media should provide you with some kind of warning and not a third party entity. For example, if I pick-up a YA book from a bookstore, bc of its synopsis or someone (be a person I know or a creator) recommended it to me, I don't expect "spicy" scenes or blatant a*use of a character by its love interest or just "torture p*rn" scenes in it but here they are. With no warning. Is it my fault? Partly yes. Is it the media's fault for not giving me any warnings? Also yes.

Even with researching "warnings" isn't that simple. When it comes to books, the only way is reading reviews or recommendations. With reviews, they're either positive and say nothing book related or are negative and full of spoilers. Recommendations nowadays most of the time don't even give you what the story is about, just "it has x, y and z in it", let alone "warnings". From my own experience, they either don't tell you about "unappropriated" stuff (be r*pe, d*ug a*use, a*use, etc.) or they down play them and in worst cases, excuse it or say "it gets better/it's addressed in the next book/later in the series".

But if you feel the need to micromanage everything you engage in, go for it. But most people don't and a warning would be nice.

(This of course doesn't apply to thing and character's actions deemed "problematic". If said stuff is well handled and addressed, it's perfectly ok to portray it. But again, if it addressed and/or showed as wrong, and not ignored, excused, or played as a joke.)

I don't know from where you took the "your weird Puritanical obsession", bc 1) I never petitioned for that in my posts, and 2) I'm actually against censuring and sanitation of media.

Now, on to what "inspired" you to write this.

Again, I have no f-clue. So here are my best guesses:

If it's about Pathologic: I only have problem with people forcing their politics, modern sentiments and opinions/interpretations on to something they don't fully understand, because they're from a different cultural climate. An American can't fully (or in some cases, refuses to) understand something made by Europeans (in this case Russians) for Europeans in mind. I don't want to mix myself into the fandom discourse/drama, because I don't care what people think or how they interpret stuff, even if it's taken from something minor or from nowhere with no support (or even is debunked) in canon. I don't care if people like or hate this one character. Just don't police people for liking things, you don't like. Nor do public shaming or send people on those you don't agree with. You don't like a pixel man on platform shoes? Fine. Just don't bully and attack people who do.

If it's about my post about B*rdugo's adult book: I will admit, the wording and presentation wasn't the best. I was writing it from a place of strong emotions, but I'm still standing by my opinion that some things should not be presented with graphic details in a book without any type of warning. Here we could have a discussion about trigger warnings in books, hers response to the idea of putting them on her book and what is consider "too far", but this isn't about that. I actually have a lot of problems with B*rdugo and her fan-base, besides that. Her use of Russia, it's history, religion iconography and culture only for aesthetic and not doing proper research (she called her series "Greg's trilogy") or showing any respect for it (with characters, how are not main and secondary characters, a Slavic stereotype); her portray of dyslexia and how the fandom likes to use it as a joke in relation to this character; or people shielding her from any form of criticism with "She's is xyz, so she can write this". But I don't care about her and her works.

I stopped reading YA books, because I can't stand them any longer and their "handling" of topics, with people holding up every-single-one as "the best book ever written", not because of the quality or story but because the author is xyz, and spitting at every book written before 2000s. I'll get flag for it but YA novels are the Pulp fiction of our times (of course not all, but most of the popular ones are). I stopped trusting people recommending them to me, because 90% of the time, I'm just disappointed by them.

If it's about K and TRC: I already said so much about this. Margaret isn't aware of her audience, she writes for herself (which she admitted on a podcast) and refuses to change it to please anyone. She created and killed K for two reasons: to further Ronan's character arc (to be used for teaching him to dream better and a (not working) foil of him (or Adam... or Gansey)) and as her weird catharsis of killing everything she hates (who she apparently was; "fratty boys and chortling men") personified as one boy (and yes, boy, because this fandom likes to forget he’s only seventeen, the same age as the Gangsey. If you excuses their actions, like Ronan and Adam’s racist jokes or Gansey’s toxic behaviors towards Adam with “they’re just teenagers”, why K is excluded from being a stupid teen?). With Jordan, it's now obvious that she has a bias of suffering/dealing with your trauma (and addiction) "in the right way", of which in her eyes, K wasn't. She could not create K or she could not make him a harmful stereotype of a Slav, but she did. In a book targeted at 13-18 year olds, we have a drug-addicted boy committing a public s*icide and being demonized and forgotten by everyone.

But I'm done with this fandom, I never had a place in it. TRC fandom is 80% P*nch with a 1% being about K, but even this little corner is "too much" for the stans. I left for a reason, the only thing I regret is not apologizing for my out-burst. If someone who knows what I’m referencing is reading this, I’m truly sorry.

Any bit of intimacy Peter had learned from movies and books (all borrowed from Aunt May, of course). So candles and flowers are expected when he tries to go above and beyond. It’s only when you directly explain that want anything different that things change.

The first time you had a discussion of romance was when the candle fell over and there goes your comforter. The entire room might have been in flames if Peter’s radar wasn’t always on.

He’s submissive, that’s a simple fact. It’s something that can help him forget about all the stress and tension he has to go through. It’s where he doesn’t have to be in charge, doesn’t have to be the hero and can let the world fade out behind him.

It’s a combination of his youth and powers that he has much more stamina then most. It’s one of the reasons that he prefers regular, take your time, sex over quickies.

1. your first dizi & how you discovered Turkish dramas :

So, this is a long story so TL;DR: Kiralik Ask and facebook groups. 

Now, for the long story. It might have been 10 years ago now? probably less? I don’t know, since the end of highschool I have lost consciousness of time and what a year is and when it ends. Anyway, Kiralik Ask was all the rage in Italy and in the facebook groups I was in, people were talking about this and Cherry Season a lot (I’m pretty sure this wasn’t 10 years ago but I’m dramatic) and I became obsessed with all the videos and things and everything (of KA, I didn’t care for Cherry Season) BUT I did not watch it then. Years later, like maybe three years ago? maybe 2? No idea. I discovered Vatanim Sensin thanks to @rescuemeifyoucan and her posts about it and became obsessed with that as well so, like a normal person, I searched for Hileon videos on YouTube and found every single scene they were in (only Hileon scenes) and watched a lot of those videos, probably 3/4 of the first season, stayed up all night (fun fact, I went to sleep at like 8 in the morning and when I woke up a couple hours later I got called and did my stage/started working at the place I’m at) and that was my initiation to Turkish shows but since I did not actually watch it, only precise scenes, that is not technically my first dizi. About 2 weeks of VS and only VS I decided that it was time to watch KA (because I found a playlist of YT of every episode from the beginning with Italian subtitles and others in English subtitles if the Italian ones were missing) so technically this is my first actual turkish dizi watched, since it is the first dizi that I have seen complete episodes of, from the first episode.

2. show(s) you’re currently watching:

Technically none but also technically thousands. So, technically (expect this word to be the most used in this post) I am currently watching Menajerimi  Ara (haven’t watched since more than two months ago probably), Alev Alev (last watched I think last month) 50m2 (again, last watched last month), Kiralik Ask (it’s been a few years actually BUT I haven’t given up on it yet and I will continue it... someday), Her Yerde Sen (last watched probably last year? Maybe start of the pandemic, maybe before that), Kuzey Yildiz (last watched I think the end of last year), Halka (I have no idea when I stopped with this honestly), Kara Para Ask (last year? maybe? Before Her Yerde Sen I think), Benim Tatli Yalanim (around the time of HYS), Kimse Bilmez (again, around HYS time). I haven’t seen any of these for some time but they are all shows that I plan to continue sooner or later. It’s all shows I loved but put aside because I found a new obsession but I do get back to them sometimes.

3. your favorite genre of dizi (romcom, mafia show, contemporary drama, historical/fantasy, etc.):

Romcom. I do like some dramas but I tend to hate almost all of the characters except a selected few and I can’t handle all that hate, my liver cannot survive it.

4. the show you rewatch (parts of) the most:

I think KA? or MA? or HYS? They are my favorite shows of the ones I have started. Also Ask 101 (the only Turkish show I have actually completed and only because it’s not 10 thousand episodes long and it’s easily available on Netflix so it’s easy to rewatch again)

5. favorite Turkish actor and actress (feel free to pick multiples):

I have this problem, it’s names, I rarely know the names of actors, if I know them I forget them, I sometimes mistake the character’s name with the actor’s name, sometimes the opposite so let’s try this and see what mess comes out: 

Aybuke Pusat, the guy who played Demir on HYS, the two friends of Selin from HYS and the receptionist. Elcin (?) and Baris (?) from KA, Burcu (?), Alina, Kubilay, and the other kids from Ask 101, Dicle and Baris and Julide from MA, Hilal and Leon from VS, Cicek di Alev Alev, Cagatay Ulusoy (I remember his name! my beloved CaCa), The female protagonist of KPA (she was also in the first episode of MA which is the reason why I started that show), Hande Ercel, Kerem Bursin, Elcin (?), Melisa, the one who played the third main friend, the red headed girl, all from SCK, Ismail (?) and the actress of Yildiz from Kuzey Yildiz, also the three girls from there. Most of the cast of Hercai, although I hate more than half of the characters. 

I feel so bad that I don’t remember their name. I swear I love them!

6. a show you quit before finishing:

A few. First and foremost Sefirin Kizi (couldn’t get past episode 1). Erkenci Kus (hated the direction it was going, which was in circles), Ask Laftan Anlamaz (hated hated hated the lie that guy protagonist said. Wanted to watch after but I can’t do that to myself). Sad to say but also Sen Cal Kapimi. I loved it SO MUCH and then first he does that stupid break up thing that I hate (because it similarly happened in ALS and that is the whole reason why I never finished that show so already not a good start), then it seems to be picking up and we got the amnesia thing so yeah, nope, not doing it. Afili Ask (I liked it but not enough to continue and I have to give up on a few shows). Also probably Hercai since I enjoy how it ended in season one and never felt the urge to continue.

Technically most of the answers from the 2 question apply here as well but I do intend on continuing those, these ones, however, I will not continue. 

7. favorite song(s) you’ve discovered in dizi’s:

Birakman Dogru Mu 2 by Zeynep Bastik and Anil Piyanci, heard on Menajerimi Ara and the song that started my love for pop songs made in Turkey

8. the show whose plot disappointed you the most:

Sen Cal Kapimi and Ask Laftan Anlamaz are the ones that first come to mind. And Erkenci Kus. God, Erkenci Kus disappointed me SO MUCH.

9. a show that was cancelled too soon / ran too long:

Ran too long: definitely EK. And SCK (sorry not sorry, it should have ended right before the amnesia).

Cancelled too soon: I don’t usually watch shows that get cancelled soon (in the sense that I usually wait a bit before watching a show because I wouldn’t want for it to be cancelled while I am passionate about it) and technically I do not yet know if they were cancelled too soon, but I would say HYS and Benim Tatli Yalanim because I was loving them and I have less than 10-15 episodes left to watch

10. favorite character(s):  

The children in every drama are my favorite so Gul (Hercai), the children in Alev Alev, the child in Sefirin Kizi (the only character to save themselves in that show except for Gediz), the girl from BTY, Bulut (?) from Dolunay. Also CeyCey (EK), Baris and Dicle from MA, basically the entire cast of SCK (I might hate the direction where this is going but I do love the characters), the main characters from ALA (except for the main male protagonist, he can choke), the main characters from Atesbocegi, Suna from BTY, Reyyan (Hercai), a lot of others, I just don’t remember the names.

11. your favorite romantic pairing(s):

ReyMir (Hercai), LeyEm (Erkenci Kuş), Edser (Sen Çal Kapımı), Defom (Kiralık Aşk), SelDem (HYS), Suna x Nejat (BTY), DicBar (MA), Bahar x Kaan (Halka), Ibo x Ayda (?) (HYS), YilKuz (Kuzey Yildiz), probably others.

I love the fire side (?)  kiss between Selin and Demir from HYS as well as their kiss when she thinks that he stood her up when in fact he didn’t even know that he was supposed to go on a date with her and so she gets pissed off (rightfully so) and he chases after her and OMG I love them! Also the first and second kiss between Nejat and Suna. These last three I have made gifs of, and they were my first gifs, unedited, kinda ugly, but I love them (not saying that I make good gifs now because I do not, they are still ugly and unedited but not my firsts anymore).

14. an underrated show more people should watch: 

Her Yerde Sen. And Benim Tatli Yalanim. And Menajerimi Ara (although more people were getting into it). And Alev Alev.

15. a show everyone loves that you aren’t interested in:

The one with Demet Ozdemir (BOK I believe is the tag). Never was interested in it but based on gifs alone, I think they had the character who is either played by an actor whose name is Ismail or the character is called Ismail make a 180 from season 1 to season 2 and I hate it when they do this kind of things in books and series (I might be wrong though) so now I have even less interest in it. Also Son Yaz. The gifs, I love them, but I don’t want to actively watch the show. I’ll enjoy it from gifs and posts about it.

6. How do you find a new fic to read? Where do you primarily read fanfiction? Fanfiction or AO3, and have an excel doc with my favorite ships, then I go to the random number generator, putting 1 as the minimum and maximum the number of the last ship I added to the list, then hit random, and read about that ship, keep things fresh.

7. Do you prefer to read short fics or long fics? Both.

11. How do you come up with your fic titles? Coffee, food, and usually, Spotify, all that, sometimes, make my brain work into having titles about the things I want to write.

13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic? I do outlines, in 5 stages, so a pretty big one. 1 - I write in my notebook, what I want to write, like a general idea. 2 - Post it on my walls and door, to give the story some structure. 3 - Notebook outline the arch of the story. 4 - Outline every chapter on word. 5 - Reduce that chapter into mini arches to write faster.

14. Do you have a personal word minimum that you hold yourself too? Why or why not? I do (now), I usually don’t post anything that is less than 2900 words, Why? because we must not forget that writers not only write for people in the fandom, they mainly write for themselves, and I love to read something among that word count because that’s long enough to keep me on the hook.

16. Do you research for your fics? If so, how deep of a rabbit hole have you gone down by accident when researching? I do research for my fics, how deep? I can give indications for divorce paperwork in the state of New York, even if you want or not to go scorch the earth with the “fault” rule, I can give an appropriate value to an apartment or a house in New York, Texas, Nashville, and San Francisco, and I can do taxes on those states too, and I know more about how high school classes work in the US than in my country, even when I went to those classes, and I’m from Santiago, Chile, you know, in South America, like, the last country of South America

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback? I don’t, once I finish writing something, I run away, and watch anime for a few hours, or work (Yeah, sometimes I write on my lunch hour)

18. Do you have a WIP that you keep telling yourself you’ll eventually get back to, but deep down you know that’s probably a lie? I do apologize to “The Games we Play” I have no idea how I outlined your 26 chapters, but I’m still on chapter 2, and I’m sorry.

19. Do you edit your fics after you write them, or do you prefer to just hit post and run (because it’s someone else’s problem now)? Sometimes I do because sometimes, I write things wrong.

20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process? That happiness I get when I’m in the Zone, and I write something that makes me say “Fuck, that was good”

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write? I don’t write it anymore, because I was banned from a forum for writing it, but I love to write a bad ending, like “Killing the main character that I make you love for 30 chapters in the end” ending. I’m evil, I know, sue me.

Here’s the last god/goddess I made so far! More to come im sure lmao

| Name: Xovarkzis (pronunciation: Zo-Vark-Zis) God of Time (also has some power over life and death)

| Nicknames: Xo (again pronounced as Zo) or Vark/Ark

| Gender: He/Him, They/Them, She/Her, and It/It’s, gender doesn’t STRICTLY matter for them, you can call them a god or a goddess either one

| Age: It’s speculated that perhaps Xovarkzis has been around since the beginning of time, their specific age is unknown BUT it’s clear that he is over countless centuries old

| Height: 500ft (when they come down to visit Earth they shift down to about 6’3”)

| Species/Race: Well its obvious but still, just to reiterate- God/Goddess

| Hair Color: The left side of his hair is White and the right side of his hair is Black (his hair is a quiff style)

| Eye Color: Left eye is pure white and the right eye is pure black (they have a third eye on their forehead that is mixed between black n white, it isn’t two eyes, its just one eye with split colors, the left side of the eye is pure white and of course the right side is pure black)

Said to be beneficial for the skin and veins) and she has a necklace she wears on her neck that is a Sodalite Stone (it helps to calm and clear the mind, bring joy and relieve a heavy heart. Said to aid the metabolism and lymphatic system)

He wears a white glove on his left hand and then a black one on the right (they cut the tips out of them so their black and white claws can peep through BUT ONLY for the claws, I’ll explain the gloves being a VERY crucial detail in side facts)

They have razor sharp teeth (they also have a circle beard btw, it being the colors of each part of the respective skin color ya know), their ears are pointed and they also wear black n white gauges and other earrings of that color in their ears as well, that’s all for the jewelry however- they can also grow black and white wings (v feathery n fluffy wings), they also have a black based tail and then white fluff at the end (p much a dragon-esque looking tail), they seem to have a few scars here and there but nothing TOO major, it just appears to be from a few fights that must’ve ensued sometime in her life.

| Personality: Xovarkzis is an… Interesting being, it usually spends time by itself, tending to her own world and keeping everything in order, he’s usually VERY calm and collected in every situation possible since he’s seen it all pretty much, they’ve seen most outcomes when it comes to life, all the questions, the answers, etc- Xovarkzis is essentially almost an all knowing being, when it comes to fighting Xo has never been one to choose a side, they always stay out of matters that don’t concern them, it’s just… What happens a f t e r  a fight, especially if it gets… Messy… They do warn of the consequences of every action, every choice has it’s consequences and if someone thinks they are ABOVE consequences? They are a fool, even Xovarkzis to be as powerful and high ranking being as she is, even he’ll admit he is not free from consequence and he never will be... 

Xovarkzis finds mortals to be such… Interesting beings, Xo loved to study them whenever they could, always watching and observing from afar whatever it may be, whether their making decisions and choices or simply going about their life… Life ...Another subject as well as death, that Xo knows very well, Xo’s seen such much death in her centuries, at first she had questioned why death had to really exist, why did people have to be taken, taken away from their loved ones, taken away from the living, and so… Easily too... Ark had even gone as far to see if it could even s t o p death but hah, when they look back at that, such a f o o l i s h desire, death, albeit a tragedy by most… Can be beautiful in many ways, a lot fear death, Ark cannot blame them nor would she ever BUT, people tend to forget, there IS still beauty in death just as there is beauty in life.

Xovarkzis always tries to show any mortals that wind up before them that fact, it’s not a way to ease them into death, there is no such way to ease into death unfortunately, but there’s still the beauty, at the VERY least Xo can show them that before leading them to their final destination, Xo might be the god/goddess of life and death (as well as time which I’ll get to in a moment) but they cannot bring a person back from the dead, that would go against EVERYTHING they believe in and it’s impossible anyways, death is permanent, and even if there were a way, if they brought them back, that person would NEVER be the same… Well in THAT regard anyways BUT there is a… “Special Rule” If a person is taken before their time is up? ...There CAN be a pardon but it depends on the person really and the situation, and it still goes against what Xo believes in, in, well a way but… Sometimes an exception needs to be made, if their time was not up and it happened to be an… “Unfortunate” circumstance then they must continue on their journey.

Xo will even admit “Despite my beliefs… Your time has n o t run out… There is still so much you must do, so much to accomplish… So, just this once, I will send you back… But remember, life isn’t something you should take for granted, so many loved ones, whether it be a friend, family, or partner… You have someone who truly cares about you out there, so try and live life to the fullest every day possible… Remember, you w o n ‘ t get another chance like this, next time, it will be permanent I’m afraid…” now as for time, Xo holds time with a fondness… Time can be a blessing and a… Curse to some… Xo used to see time as a curse but they learned quickly, you must do what you can and will with the time you are given, never be afraid to get out there and do whatever it is you desire, time may seem so short… It may even feel as though time is plotting and working against you, but that is simply not true… It’s all about working with the time you are given, there is no such thing as more or less with time, and you had better make the most of the time you ARE given, for one day, your clock, as will everyone else’s, will run out.

Xo keeps the time in order (kinda like father time in a way), she CAN control it in a way, meaning it can stop and start time BUT there could only be one reason for stopping, starting, and speeding up time- And if that reason EVER comes to pass ...Whatever god/goddess/being you worship, you had better p r a y to them, pray as hard as you can… (Xo cannot reverse time however technically speaking, unless you wish to count them bringing a person back via unfortunate circumstances then I suppose in a way she can do that but still) Xo’s always been fascinated with how time worked to be honest, it’s interesting all the things time can make happen… Mortals, plants, etc- those grow up, worlds they age and sometimes become more progressive than others, and mostly people change with time, some anyways- Everything changes with time marching ahead, and that, to Xo is a wonderful thing…

That’s honestly the best I can sum them up?? There’s obvs gonna be more to them but for now this is good for personality basis (Xo despite being so blunt with things, Xo is a sweetheart who just wants the best for everyone, just wants peace, equality, and for people to live life to their fullest potential, Xo wants to see them succeed, failure? ...Failure is natural and should not be something to fear, you can always learn from the mistakes you make and next time you try something, then you’ll know what to avoid next time around, failure in a way should be treated as growth, as growing and learning because it is)

| Side Facts: Xo isn’t one for weapons BUT it does wield a black handled scythe that has a white blade attached to it (if you REALLY want, Xo can be technically called a Reaper even if he is much more than that, but if you wish to classify her as that then so be it), Ark’s world is also made up of black and white (literally if you look at the world, it’s split down the middle, black and white, nothing more nothing less, it’s world is actually considered a “Void” given that there isn’t anything really there, the only thing there in the split is Xo’s “throne” of course because it’s literally right in the center of the world it’s black and white as well, they have decorated it with various stones (like the Turritella, Snowflake, and Sodalite stones) there are a few others that are p much otherworldly, those stones can only be found in Xo’s world (I’ll leave those up to interpretation lmao), there ARE shelves lining the “room” however full of hourglasses, all of various types, various names are labelled on them.

Even Xo’s own, for even Xo, despite being a god/goddess n such, does have a due date himself, all the gods/goddesses do, one day their time will be up just like everyone else’s, granted… They D O live a LOT longer than mortals, animals, etc… Hence why their hourglasses are so big and almost infinite, but Xo knows, deep down, despite their infinite size, the sand will reach the bottom one day and then that will be it… Xo isn’t scared of death anymore, they haven’t been for MANY centuries now (they used to be afraid, they used to not understand why they had to even deal with the things they did, why they were the god/goddess they were, but one day, it finally understood… And that was that)

(If Xo and Thanatos (side note, i do realize that’s an actual god name but this one in particular i made is… woo b o y, just- yikes), but Xo and Thanatos would honestly be at each other’s throats, Xo has never liked picking a side in a fight, has never been one for fighting anyway- but Thanatos would disrupt EVERYTHING… That sick disgusting excuse for a god doesn’t even deserve his status, he treats death like a game for his entertainment, he’ll LITERALLY go out of his own way to make everyone suffer in any way he can, and Xo will not have any mockery and slander toward life nor death in this way so those two would c l a s h)

You would think Xo would live forever given their status and being the god they are BUT, it’s definitely not true! They can even be killed even though ...That’s LITERALLY near impossible, not ABSOLUTELY impossible but still, someone would have to get a REALLY lucky and fatal shot in, however even if they were to fade (if Xo dies, imma say this right now, there’ll be a spotlight on them and they’ll start fading away into little specs and drifting into the wind) the balance of life, death, and time will not implode, there are many other gods/goddesses that will be ready to take Ark’s place even if it may be sooner than expected, there’s always a chance after all…

Okay I saw something and it really made me smile. I found comfort in their words :)

So, I'm here to share it in case it can help anyone. It is a quote from a Quora post about what it means to be nb for you. Lim Shu Ning is the author of the following text.

"One of my greatest difficulties when exploring my gender identity has been trying to wrap my head around what gender even is. Many of these things are nebulous and difficult to articulate because language is imperfect, and I have been feeling my way through them the past two years.

I think that gender is a cluster of things that resists simplification. It is very tempting to declare that "all gender is just X", where X could be: biology, power, socialisation, performance, chromosomes, whether you like dolls or trucks, dysphoria etc etc, just to avoid having to think about this mess.

When people say things like “only two genders penis and vagene!!11!” I hear their discomfort with complexity and desire for simplification. This is understandable, but such statements are simply not true. People use the word "gender" to mean different things in different contexts, and it is impossible to say anything useful about gender that is absolutely true all the time, except the most frustrating simplification of all: "a woman is someone who identifies as a woman".

So if gender is a cluster of things and not just one thing, so is being a certain gender. Just as every woman would have many different responses to what it means to be a woman, I have many responses to what being nonbinary means to me personally.

Colour is an analogy that has been very useful for me. If we think of the two binary genders as blue and red for example, I see my gender as green: a third gender, not derivative of or related to the two existing one, that is just its own thing. In this analogy, non-binary people who see themselves as somewhere on the spectrum in between male and female would be a shade of purple, and agender people who simply do not have an internal sense of gender would be white. Incidentally, the genderqueer pride flag colours are lavender, white and green, by similar reasoning.

It has been quite clear to me for a while that I am indeed genderqueer, even though I am even now still figuring out what that means. To extend the colour analogy, I think it’s like being a toddler and knowing what my favourite colour is even though I cannot explain what colour or vision even is, or WHY.

Here are how I personally relate to a small selection of the aspects of gender, which I see as facets of being non-binary/icing on the gender cake:

I feel affirmed when people refer to me using they/them pronouns, or when strangers alternate pronouns randomly. It is quite upsetting when friends who should know better forget or don’t try hard enough

I like to be referred to in gender neutral terms, occasionally feminine terms by certain people, sometimes masculine terms in certain contexts

I relate to the political struggle of womanhood, trans people, and gender minorities. I experience misogyny, and am policed for being gender nonconforming. I’m a queer trans feminist and fight the cisheteropatriarchy (the system of power in society which privileges cis straight men)

I experience discomfort with the gendered attributes of my body sometimes

I prefer to be in mixed gender groups, and feel uncomfortable in large groups with too many men (cis men may not know what I mean; I think it’s a common feeling among people who aren’t cis men)

I enjoy genderfuckery and messing with people’s expectations and assumptions

It is very important to me to be out to most of my friends and family and for them to understand that I am not a man or a woman

Ideally I would like strangers to read me as genderqueer, but failing which I would like them to be confused about my birth sex. In practice I am actually generally read as either a masculine woman or a man, and I’m not sure which I prefer, I feel quite ambivalent currently

Before I started really thinking about gender and taking good long hard looks at my feelings, I didn’t feel strongly about any of these things. I took for granted that because I was assigned a certain gender at birth, I would (have to) be referred to and live and present myself as such. Only when I started to explore my options and break apart all these things did I start to become more aware of my actual preferences and internal sense of gender.

I still don’t completely know what gender is, nor can anyone. But these days when I sit quietly by myself and introspect, I “feel” genderqueer, and sometimes a bit like a woman. What does that mean??! Well, it's all the above listed things, but also a bit more than that. It is an innate internal sense that I've developed/become more aware of through questioning and experimentation. Gender identity, I think, is greater than the sum of its parts. Some of it is ineffable, and we can only try.

Side note: Lots of people, cis and trans, are born with a strong sense of gender and know by age five. But some cis and “cis-by-default” people who don’t experience distinct easily identifiable discomfort with or have any other reason to question their assigned genders, simply don’t. Prompt: The Lena Luthor that could come first is that Lena meets the Reader during... something, and starts acting like the Reader's sugar mama (like a sugar daddy, but female): Hiring them on as a personal "assistant", buying them nice things, etc. Can be NSFW if you want.

A couple of months after starting work at L-Corp you've officially moved into your new apartment and is settling down in NC nicely. With you on Lena's team, her work in the lab has been dramatically reduced for which she's thankful for; she can actually go home at a decent hour. Like today, she finished her paperwork and emails earlier than she expected. So she decided to come down the lab and was pleasantly surprised to see you sitting on your chair and staring at the ceiling.

"Burning the midnight oil, Y/N?" she asked as a way to announce her presence. For your part, she was impressed you didn't startle and fall off.

"Yes. I'm just thinking," you said before looking at her while she's leaning a foot away from you on your table.

The moment your eyes met, Lena couldn’t help but reach out and touch your face. You shivered as she runs a finger against your cheeks, down to your jaw but held her eye all the way.

"You look tired," you whispered, mouth suddenly dry. She smiled at you. Even though you work for her, Lena considers you her friend first and she cares about you.

"Let's go home?" She asked.

You nodded and reached for the hand she still has on your cheeks and walked out of the lab together. You've been skirting around your feelings for each other ever since you met. Between being new in the city, and becoming her employee there just doesn't seem to be a good time to tell her but you're exhausted, so when she didn't drove you to your apartment and asked you to just stay over you didn't question her.

You didn't question her when she helped you undress, and pushed you towards her bed. You didn't question her when she wrapped her body next to you, wrapping you in her warmth. You didn't question her when she planted a soft, quick kiss good night in the corner of your mouth. You didn't question her when it became a regular occurrence - her picking you up at the lab and staying over her penthouse. You didn't question her about intentions, feelings, and endgames; you simply just relish on the attention Lena's giving.

It worked for well for a while, Lena bathing you with her attention and care. She doesn't care about labels, she wants you and she knows you feel the same way. She likes you, and she's not shy about expressing that the best way she knows how.  She doesn't care if it's way too extra to fly you to Cuba in her private jet after you spent a week coup up in the lab finishing a certain project of hers. She doesn't mind buying you that designer dress that probably the cost of your whole year rent for the L-Corp gala where she asked you to be her date.

Of course, sometimes it bothers you how much money Lena is spending on you. You tried to complain about it a lot and every time she makes a purchase without consulting you.

"Lee, seriously?" You asked as you hand back the key to a new car she just gave you.

"You don't like it? We can get you a different one," she answered, brows furrowed.

"No, it's not that. I just don't want people to think I'm with you because of your money," you explained with a small frown.

She traced the pad of her thumb across your lips. "I don't care what everyone thinks. I know our truth."

She pulled you in for a brief kiss that didn't fail to still take your breath away. "Just let me take care of you," she said leaning her forehead against yours.

The only downside of not being officially together are the people who think they can flirt with you. As to why she still hasn't made it official is beyond her. Maybe it's the notion at the back of her head that you're too good for her? That someone as good as you deserve someone better than a Luthor? Or the idea that something as good as what you have together can be ripped away from her? Whatever it is, she realized she ought to have made it official between the two of you so people can back the fuck away.

But she hasn't, so she's left gritting her teeth as she watches someone flirt with you again at the alien bar. You were both there with the Super Friends when a gorgeous brunette with legs for days sidled next to you while waiting for your drinks. Lena seethed in her seat as she watches the girl slipped a paper (with her number no doubt) on the front pocket of your shirt before you walked back to the table. Lena frowned when you didn't discard the paper and ignored you all night after that; you were oblivious and baffled when she ignored your messages for days after.

You thought that working with Lena means she couldn't avoid you but you couldn't be more wrong. Lena, it seems, has been doing everything in her power to stir clear of you. You wouldn't even know Lena left for Switzerland if it wasn't for Alex casually and accidentally mentioning it over lunch at Noonan's, which promptly earned her an elbow from Kara. You thought of asking them for advice but you don't know the extent of their knowledge about your relationship with Lena.

When you got back to the lab that afternoon, you wondered if it's over between the two of you. By the third week, you just stopped trying. You love her, you do but damn it if you would allow her to drag you along any further. You deserve an explanation, you deserve to know what you did wrong and a chance to fix it instead of the silent treatment.

By the fourth week, Lena has already processed her feelings and is ready to talk. She summoned you in her office the moment she landed back from Switzerland.

"Ms. Luthor, you asked for me?" You greeted formally. She bristled at your very professional tone, and you never called her by her last name before. But she's a bigger idiot if she didn't anticipate your anger. So she came prepared with your favorite flowers (peonies), chocolates and a new watch from Geneva.

"Hi," she said as she rounded her desk and leaned in front of it.

You didn't respond, you just continued staring at her. When she met your eye, she fought the urge to frown. You look worn down and hasn't seen a bed in weeks.

"What happened? You look exhausted," she asked clearly concerned.

"I got busy," you cut yourself from explaining what you've been up to.

You wanted to tell her you've been helping other R&D projects at L-Corp to keep yourself from coming home early and having to deal with your murky thoughts. You wanted to tell her you couldn't sleep in your own bed because she misses you there, so you come to Alex's and share a bed with her and Kelly. God bless those two for looking after you this past month or you would have died of forgetting when you need to eat or sleep.

"Do you actually need something from me? I have actual work to do," you sighed out.

"I..uhm...I just wanted to give you these," she said, mentioning towards the package on her table.

You gave her a small smile, "I'm sorry Ms. Luthor, I can't accept that." You stood up and promptly walked towards her door. She frowned, she messed up really bad with you and she doesn't know what to do.

Turn out she does know what to do. After your disastrous encounter at her office today, Lena went directly to your apartment bearing your favorite Chinese takeout, a bottle of wine, and a sheepish smile. When you opened the door, Lena was the last person you expected there.

"Can I come in? I have Chinese," she said in lieu of a greeting and pulling her hand up to show the food bags.

You opened the door wider to let her in, and she went directly to the counter to set down the food. Her familiarity with where everything is in your kitchen makes your heart ache. You're mad and still a little hurt but you miss her. When she finished plating, she found you staring at her.

"Come here," she beckoned softly while sitting on the dining table.

You squinted at her. God knows you tried to resist but the urge to be near her again is overwhelming. You took slow steps towards her, and you didn't stop until you're standing between her parted legs. She looked up at you, eyes soft and genuine.

"I'm sorry love," she whispered, arms coming to wrap around your waist.

"What happened?" You asked as you unconsciously ran your hand through her dark tresses.

She sighed heavily and explained to you how she got jealous when someone flirts with you but couldn't do anything because no one knows you're together. She explained how she felt undeserving of you, of how she felt you might be better off without a Luthor, how you deserve more than a Luthor. She explained how she decided to stay away but clearly couldn't because she misses you. She explained how there was not a day where she didn't think of you.

"I love you," Lena admitted. You were shocked she said it first.

"I want to take care of you for as long as you'll have me," she continued.

Your heart rate picking up. Is she? You thought. "Lee, are you?"

"No, no baby. At least not yet," she answered, smiling hopefully at you. "But I'd like you to move in with me," she continued and you gasped in surprise.

"Why?" It's not that you didn't want to live with her, you do. She gave you an exasperated look.

"Look, I love your place but the penthouse has a better security feature and amenities. If you move in with me, you can save by carpooling," she explained in her best CEO voice. She's selling it hard, and you can't help but laugh.

"Fine, but I'm paying the bills and the groceries."

Lena knitted her brows together. "Just the groceries, and then we have a deal." You rolled your eyes at her. There's no winning with her when she sets her mind into something.

"Deal," you said, extending your hand. She laughed before she took your hand and tug you against her.

"Seal it with a kiss love," she said turning her head upwards so you could have full access on her mouth. You chuckled at her silliness before leaning down and kissing her soft lips.

as  promised   here   are   some   pride   headcanons  .   the  questions  are  from  an   image  i   found  (  revised  for  rp  purposes  )   ,   feel   free  to  use  for  your  own  hcs  !

1. what is your muses sexuality ? : chad is a homoromantic demi-homosexual !

2. what gender does your muse identify as ? : cismale.

3. how long have they been aware of their sexuality and or gender ? : chad knew he was gay pretty much his entire life. he never had to think about it. he just knew "yeah i like boys" and that was that. he got kicked out of private school at age 10 for hospitalizing one of his bullies who called him a gay slur

4. do they have any preferences ? : not sure what this is asking, i assume it means gender preference ? but since my muse is gay it doesn't apply. 

5. share a positive memory of your muse coming out : chad came out to his brother and sister when he was ten. his parents found out chad was being called gay slurs at school after he hospitalized his bully. it was only fair he told his siblings. his sister took a while to wrap her head around the concept being younger, but she just wanted chad happy. his older brother was also extremely accepting of his brothers sexual identity. chad became even closer to his siblings that day.

6. how do they feel about pride month ? : chad loves pride month and is super obnoxious about celebrating it. he suppressed his sexuality throughout high school to avoid ridicule so like once he got away from that and felt more comfortable in his own skin. he is not shy about letting people know he is very happy to be gay.

7. do they participate in pride related events / any other events ? : my boy loves pride events. he went to his first pride parade in los angeles in university with his third boyfriend ( they were friends still at the time ) luca russo. chad wore the flag face paint and carried his little flag around. he was in awe of the festivities. he never had the guts to go to a parade before alone. 

since then chad has attended pride every year. even if he was single at the time. he does not miss a chance to embrace his identity.

8. how does your muse feel about lgbtq+ roles in media ? : seeing his community represented in media is very important to chad. as long as its done respectfully he is always happy to see queer folk in tv and movies. and like pretty much every person in the community, he hates queer baiting with a passion. the second he sniffs it chad will stop watching the program. he can tell  the difference between that and slow burn.

9. do they feel pride in who they are ? : chad struggled with his sexuality for a long time in fear of facing ridicule. it wasn't until he finally left home did he really embrace who he was. there was no reason to hide it anymore. in his adult life chad very much has pride for his sexuality and his community. 

hes heard stories from people in the past who wish they were different if only to stop the abuse. but chad has never wanted to be anyone else then the gay man he is. if given the chance he will provide a confidence booster in this regard. born this way by lady gaga is a huge inspiration for him.  ( yes i know it came out after he canonly died but on this blog we say fuck canon ) but lets clear the room, well chad is not insecure about his sexuality, he is overall stupidly insecure otherwise.

10. who has been your muses supportive idol in their self discovery ? : as chad didn't really have to struggle with finding his sexuality he never found reason to admire anyone. he does however look up to anyone who is comfortable with their identity and or a positive influence for the lgbtq+ community.

11. who was your muses first crush ? : chad was twelve when he started crushing on a boy in his history class. it wasn't anything more then wanting to hold his hand and sit next to him and smile. it was a fleeting fancy that chad got over in a short time. chad would often get soft feelings inside his chest for boys that would even simply smile at him.  but he once again would always suppress his desire for boys, never allowing himself to actually ask one out.

12. what advice does your muse have for lgbtq+ teens ? : if chad could go back and do it all again, he likely wouldn't have repressed himself. he would tell any teen in the community to never be afraid of who they are, if people didn't accept them then fuck those people. you are born who you are, and the real ones will love you for it.

13. has your muse come out to friends and family ? : yes he has. his parents and siblings know. ( see five ) chad never had friends really so there was no need to come out. most people who meet him in his college life onward, could just tell he was gay.

14. how does your muse feel about the phrase "coming out" ? :  chad sees this as letting your colours show. before you were kinda black & white like everyone else, the same, uniform. but then you let your colours come out & were seen as different.

15. do they believe there is a closet to come out of ? :  yes. the closet in his opinion is something you hide in until you feel safe to emerge. like if someone broke into your house, you hide until the danger has past. for some the danger might never pass, but if they stay in the closet forever they won’t have a chance to really live. sure they be alive but you won’t be living your life. being in the closet is safest, but its not really living. 

16. what's your muses biggest pet peeve when it comes to lgbtq+ characterization in media ? : harmful stereotypes. mostly because as a gay man chad can attest to certain things being common, and he knows he doesn't fit into a lot of those commonalities. particularly where sex is concerned. so it makes him a wee bit insecure. 

17. what's their favourite part when it comes to lgbtq+ characterization in media ? : finding someone he can relate too. he likes when gay men are portrayed for more reason then to be a token gay character. he likes a story with an actual backbone. something real. 

18. do they practice safe sex with the same gender ? : yes and no. he is very adamant about both parties being safe and comfortable but chad for most of his sexual career was a sub/bottom. he took it rather than gave it. his first boyfriend didn't like condoms, and chad being naive and fearful of him didn't ask him to wear one. the fact his boyfriend was uncovered was not what was making him the most uncomfortable so it wasn't really on his mind.

his following sexual relationship with boyfriend three fell into a similar pattern. chad didn't give he took,  and when he gave there was no coverage. since they were exclusive neither saw a need for protection. chad didn't see an issue with it.

boyfriend four insisted on wearing one most of the time, but since chad never penetrated him he never had to wear one.

patrick didn't give a fuck, a reason why chad insisted patrick wear a condom in the beginning of halloween part 1 cause he was worried about disease. in fact i hc they were unprotected until chad suspected cheating and got his boyfriend to cover up. although pat never asked chad too.

tldr; chad has little experience with protective sex but will always want to make things as safe as possible for his partner. so boy will wear the condom if asked.

19. what are their turn offs with the same gender ? what are their turn ons : turn ons are older men of authority. chad is very dominant in personality, but also has an extreme submissive side that can come out with the right partner. this part that longs to be taken care of is what attracts him to men in control. he also likes a man who knows what he wants, and has some culture behind him. ( talk dirty to him in another language and he will melt ) oh and praise is another huge turn on, he loves validation 

turn offs are pain. he doesn't like it. anything hardcore BDSM will have him running for the hills. no S&M. and anything demeaning, don't call him slut, whore etc. it makes him uncomfy. in terms of actual personality traits from men, anyone that acts like his first boyfriend ( leather biker, hot shot type ) will have him nopping out.

20. how does your muse feel about lgbtq+ clubs/apps/websites ? : this is a grey area for him as he is certainly in support of gay web content, its how its used that effects him. like, his experience with connecting with the community in any kind is limited to a general kink website which his boyfriend used to chest on him. so his feelings around that are a little uncomfortable. 

21. how do they feel about the term "queer" ? : chad has no issues with this word. he doesn't have anything deeper to say about it, other than it sounds close to queen in his opinion and he wears that label proud.

22. what tips would they give to heterosexual/cisgendered people looking to better understand the community and news surrounding it ? : chad would tell them to be open minded and not look at it with bias. forget about the hetronormative society you live in and just be open to another view. 

23. whats the most annoying question your muse has ever gotten for being lgbtq+ ? :  the most annoying question chad gets is when people ask who is the woman in the relationship. it really grinds his gears as something like that implies either he or his partner isn't a real man. it also makes him insecure as he is neither a masculine or effeminate gay. hes kinda of in between and it really rubs people the wrong way sometimes. because they expect him to act a certain way.

he acts gay, but hes more gay, and less gay depending on what people are seeing. so when people ask him if hes the man or the woman it brings out his rage over the fact that thats a homophobic af comment, and also his dilemma on what type of gay he is.

24. how do they feel about receiving questions about their sexuality and or gender ? : chad is overall not a super friendly person. i mean he can be, but his second language is bitch so be careful lol. so it really depends on who is asking and what they are asking. if a stranger is asking dumb shit he won't be inclined to give more than a "fuck off" but if someone he knows has some curiosities he wouldn't mind, depending on how invasive it is.

The Etiquette of Roleplay

I've been working on this for a little while and i’m pleased with how its come out. These are the standard rules that I play by and I hope that others will read and learn from it as well to ensure that your experiences are just as enjoyable for not only yourself, but for those your interacting with too. 

Shoutout to @claudia-talks for inspiring me to do this with your super flattering message :D 

Here we go: 

This is probably the most important part- Be grateful that your getting a reply at all because if your thread participant/s are too slow for your liking, please consider that they may have real life, other duties, or other threads to reply to, too. Your thread may be plot-centric to your character, but not so plot-centric to their character. If a thread is progressing too slowly for your liking, you can always place it on hold or it and try again later or try it again with a different character or even suggest you drop your current thread for another one. 

But please bare in mind that sending a bunch of thread starters may just overwhelm the person your trying to play with, communication with the Mun behind the scenes in DM is always appreciated if not darn near a mandatory. 

Give Action: Note your character’s quirks, movements, body language, gestures, and so forth. Don’t overload your posts with action. Do remember that if your post is all thought and speech, there’s very little for the other writer to respond to. If you throw in a little bit of action into each roleplaying post, it makes the thread that much more interesting!

Respond To Action: If the other character made a move, action, or betrayed something in their body language (and your character was likely to notice), do respond! If their character stepped forward in their roleplaying post, perhaps your character steps backwards. Or — doesn’t, depending on the interaction. Make sure you’re not skipping over anyone else’s action that requires response, either — such as a handshake, high five, etc.

Dont Forget The Scenery: Especially in long threads, the scenery is sometimes neglected. If the characters are standing outside in a forest talking for hours, maybe the sun starts to set and they have to begin making their way home. This can change the flavor of the thread from simple idle chat to a real adventure — and a great way for two characters to bond. If the characters are sitting in the main camp tent late at night, perhaps a few NPCs join them for drinks and dancing?

Show Dont Tell: This is important in roleplaying and writing. Rather than telling your audience flat out how your character feels, you should show them instead.

So in short: What is your character doing with their hands/feet/body/other? Where are they? Outside, inside, by a fire, by a window, lounging with their feet up on someone elses head? What time is it? Is it dark or light? Are you underwater or in space? 

Is your character cold? Perhaps they are hot? Maybe they cant feel anything, whats that like? Give the other person something to go off on, something to react to. 

The glory is in the details, bulk up your posts- its not hard and can make for a much more enjoyable experience for everyone involved. 

Lame: “Azazel felt awful for what he had done.”

Better: “Azazel’s ears drooped and his eyes fell to the ground, unable to look at the other canine. The corners of his lips drooped in the beginnings of a frown, and when he opened his mouth to speak, he found shame had taken the words out of him.”

Even NSFW material can be SFW safe if you add in the correct details and neglect the ‘ehem’ finer points. Remember: Body check, surrounding check, words. It goes back to the above list; action, scenery, show dont tell. 

Try not to respond to every bit of speech. Give non-verbal responses — nods, stares, shakes of the heads, funny looks, waves of the hand, thumbs up, smiles, grins, shrugs, crossing of the arms, and so forth. This simplifies the thread and can help prevent awkward speech patterns between roleplaying characters.

Try not to overthink. Don’t immerse yourself completely in the character’s head. It’s great that she’s thinking of her dead parents in this somber moment, but it gives the other roleplayer very little to reply to. Make sure your post doesn’t consist solely of thought — it’s verydifficult to reply to.

Try not to overdo the action, either. Don’t over-stuff with action, changes, and alterations. A slight change of scenery, like the sun beginning to set, is great. A major shift — such as a cliffside cave beginning to flood — may not be so appreciated by the other rpger(s).

Don’t be over-controlling. It’s important not to entirely direct the course and flow of a thread. AKA God-Moding. Allow the other player to make some decisions, even if it’s an unplotted thread—this is easily done by leaving open-ended replies. For example, if two wolves are hunting a moose, the first character’s reply could detail their approach, the second could detail the selection of suitable prey, the third could detail the actual attack, so on and so forth. Each roleplayer gets to dictate a different part of the interaction and advance the storyline a little; it’s more fun for everyone this way. 

The sandwich method is a common strategy you can use to construct paragraphs within a paper and to prepare the elements of a particular paragraph. Clarity and unity are keys to well-constructed paragraphs. The sandwich method helps you frame a paragraph with introduction and conclusion statements that provide the "bun" for key points within the "meat/veggies" of the paragraph.

The sandwich method is my absolute favorite and you can see me implementing it on various threads if you happen to follow me. 

I strongly believe that if your going to make a post, you might as well make something worth the other person’s time. A give and take, if you will. 

Not only does the sandwich method help me bulk up a post, but it offers something for the next person replying to go off of so that they dont feel as if they are starting an entire thread all over in their reply. 

Basics

The sandwich method essentially uses a sandwich as a metaphor for the structure of a typical paragraph. The opening statement provides direction for the paragraph and mirrors the top bun of a sandwich. The middle, support statements provide details and mirror the meat and ingredients within the sandwich. A closing statement summarizes or ties up the content within the paragraph in the same way the bottom bun holds the sandwich together.

Top Bun -- Opening

The opening statement is a critical launching point for a distinct, clear paragraph. Each paragraph within a paper should touch on one key point. The opening is a general statement that frames the subject of the paragraph. In a paper outlining top strategies to find a job, you might start a paragraph on networking with the sentence “Carl’s sandwiches are the best sandwiches in all of New York." This statement introduces the topic of sandwiches and leaves the reader asking "Why?"

The Meat -- Detail Statements

The meat of the paragraph is made up of supporting, evidential or detail statements that answer the reader's question about the topic sentence. They clarify or give evidence to support the main point. In supporting the networking topic statement, you could have a second sentence stating "Carl’s has won multiple awards for best sandwich in the national championship sandwich making competitions." A third sentence could build on this with "Not to mention ive been coming here for years and I absolutely love them so they have my stamp of approval." Both of these sentences speak to the reader's "Why?" question.

Bottom Bun -- Conclusion

Interestingly, a concluding statement in a paragraph is considered optional, though a missing bottom bun on a sandwich would likely make a mess. In the conventional sandwich paragraph, the last sentence wraps up the paragraph's topic or summarizes its key points. If you have an especially short paragraph with just two to four sentences, a conclusion isn't necessary. In a typical paragraph with five to seven statements, it makes more sense. In the sandwich example, your bottom bun statement could say "While you can look up the awards and take my word for it, your always welcome to try them out yourself and make your own conclusion- here, lets go grab some for lunch."

Once again, please remember that we are all people- we have lives and cannot always be here to play. Do not send threats or hate or hurtful messages. Communication behind the scenes with any and all Muns you play with is key to creating a wonderful story together that will bring both of you joy- Thats why we do it. Activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

* Free time? What’s free time? But seriously, this man works way too much. A self-proclaimed workaholic. When you manage to pull him away from his work, he is really happy to spend time with you, and enjoys cooking with you and cooking for you. Actually really enjoys cooking, he just doesn’t get to do it often because of how dedicated he is to his work. Doesn’t mind just cuddling with you either, as you both agree that it is a nice change of pace.

Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

* To say that he admires almost everything about you is definitely a cop out, but it’s also the truth. He really can’t help but find you more and more beautiful the more he gets to know you? If he had to choose though, your smile is his favorite thing about you because (usually), it means you’re happy and you being happy is an incredibly good thing to him, so he loves your smile.

Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

* Very clinical about the whole thing, although he really tries to be more empathetic when it comes to you and your wellbeing, but he’s a doctor. He can’t help himself sometimes. For a panic attack, he instructs you to take deep breaths and asks you questions about your surroundings in order to ground you. Will ask you what you need after the panic attack and whether or not you want him by you is completely up to you, although he does make a point to watch you a little more carefully after the panic attack to make sure you’re okay. Same sort of situation when you’re feeling down, his first instinct is to make sure you’re okay from a clinical standpoint but is much quicker to snap out of it and comfort you if that’s what you want. He just needs to be reminded that he’s not just a doctor, he’s also your significant other.

Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

* He’s usually not idealistic, but he wants a happy ending with you. He wants to retire with you and cook dinner for you and have a life after Rainbow with you. He wants a domestic and safe life with you, even if he knows realistically that that might not happen, considering the line of work the two of you chose.

Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

* If anything, the two of you are equals in your relationship. He makes a big effort to make sure of this but if anything, he is more dominant than passive, at least outside the bedroom that is.

 Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

* Depends on how serious the fight between the two of you is. He forgives the small things very easily but the big fights take more time to forgive. Like if you didn’t do the dishes or something small like that when you said you were going to do them? He’s a bit irritated, sure, but forgives you because, in the scope of things, it’s just the dishes. If it’s something to do with ideology though, like you siding with Olivier on how to handle a mission over him? That hurts. Not only because it might go against everything he believes in, but also because it’s Olivier. These fights, if they ever do occur, are much more serious and aren’t ‘fixed’ quite as easily.

Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

* Very grateful for you and everything you do for him and even then, he still doesn’t realize the extent of everything you do for him. You got in the habit of leaving little notes around for him when the two of you started dating, reminding him to take care of himself and to drink water and eat some real food and he has no clue that you’re the one leaving the notes for him? You still have to remind him to take care of himself and you make sure to leave a light on for him when he’s coming back from a mission late.

Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

* He doesn’t like hiding things from you, but when it comes to medical files and stuff of that nature, he won’t tell you anything, not that ever causes problems between the two of you, because you understand that. He doesn’t like keeping secrets from you otherwise, even if that secret is that he is going to propose to you or something along those lines. He truly believes that honesty is the best policy, but there are things he can’t share with you, all of them work-related and none of them having to do with his personal life.

Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

* He takes care of himself more than he did before because of you. He was much worse at taking care of himself and remembering to eat and sleep and drink before he started dating you, so you reminding him has been extremely beneficial for him.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

* Not in the traditional sense. He’s fine around practically everybody, will only step into a situation if someone is making you uncomfortable and needs to take a goddamn hint but otherwise knows you’re perfectly capable of handling yourself. Seems to forget all of this when you’re talking to Olivier though. Has no qualms about beating Olivier up if he even looks in your general vicinity, much less talk to you, and you’ll have to talk to him and reassure him that if you didn’t want to talk to Olivier, you wouldn’t. He kinda just looks away guiltily and nods, because you’re right. He just doesn’t like seeing you with someone he genuinely hates.

 Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

* Very good kisser. Has a fair amount of experience when it comes to kissing and has no qualms about using that knowledge to leave you shocked after kissing him. Your first kiss with Gustave, it was after your second or third date when he kissed you (after asking you if it was alright and receiving a positive answer). He just leaned down and kissed you gently, his hand cupping your face softly.

Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

* Eloquently. He plans the whole evening out in perfect detail, he is cooking you a traditional French meal and he’s trying to set the romantic tone for the evening- it’s clear that this is a date, although it feels more special and serious than the other dates he’s taken you on in the past. After dinner and dessert, he just… tells you. He doesn’t expect a response, he just wanted to tell you how he felt and whether or not you say the words back to him right this moment, that’s up to you, he doesn’t want to pressure you into saying them when you don’t mean them. If you do say them though, he is overjoyed. Probably kisses you gently and you swear that you’ve never seen him look this happy before.

Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

* Eventually, yes. The last thing he wants to do though is rush into it, or bring up the idea too soon and scare you away. This is also something that is a make or break decision for him though because he’ll eventually float the idea of marriage to you to see whether you respond positively to the idea of getting married someday or not. If you do respond positively, then he’s going to propose sooner or later, probably in a similar fashion to how he told you he loves you. He’d probably take you on a date to the place where you had your first date and he’ll ask you. The wedding is all up to you, really. He doesn’t mind having a big ceremony or a small ceremony, or no ceremony. He just wants you to be happy.

Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?

* Affectionate French terms or simply your name, something he finds to be more intimate than affectionate terms sometimes. If he accidentally slips up and calls you ‘mon amour’ or ‘ma chèrie’ or something of the sort in front of the GIGN, he will most definitely turn red.

On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

* If someone isn’t close to Gustave in the first place, they wouldn’t really notice any changes to how he acts. To his close friends however, it is very apparent that he is in love with you from the beginning. He gets distracted very easily around you and unintentionally ends up staring at you if you’re around. He expresses his feelings through his concern of your wellbeing, which doesn’t make it easy for you, since you can’t quite tell whether his concern is strictly friendly and professional or something more.

 PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

* Doesn’t try to hide their relationship in public, but definitely doesn’t brag about you to others. Not because he doesn’t love you so incredibly much (because he does) and isn’t incredibly proud of you (because he is), he just doesn’t understand the need to brag about you to all of your shared coworkers. If he’s drunk (and that’s a big if), he might publically declare to everyone how much he loves you, but wouldn’t normally. In public, he mostly goes for forehead kisses or just chaste kisses in general and he often finds himself hugging you or just being close to you subconsciously, but in public at least, it doesn’t go much further than that. Will most definitely blush if you kiss him passionately in public.

Quirk - Some random ability they have that's beneficial in a relationship.

* He’s incredibly easy to open up to. He is the opposite of intimidating once you get to know him and he is incredibly sweet. He’s incredibly approachable and just a friendly person (to everyone but Olivier) and is just an easy person to talk to.

 Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

* Incredibly romantic. Enjoys cooking you meals and long walks on the beach and seeing you happy or laughing. Cliché as all hell but he truly doesn’t mind, he just is so truly in love with you and can’t help himself sometimes. Would do a lot to ensure your happiness.

Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

* Hell yeah, he believes in you! He supports you in whatever endeavors you may have and makes sure that you remain healthy during them. If it’s a more dangerous endeavor then he may be more hesitant to support you in it, but at the very least he will check up with you continuously to make sure that you’re okay and that nothing bad has happened to you.

Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

* He doesn’t need to try out new things to spice up your relationship, but he’s not at all opposed to the idea? As long as spicing your relationship up doesn’t include putting either one of you (but especially you) in danger.

Understanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

* Gustave is a very empathetic person, he sometimes becomes exhausted because of this quality though, because it’s incredibly draining to be empathetic. He tends to become a bit snappy if he is exhausted but otherwise does his best to understand you and always tries to take your feelings into account.

Value - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?

* You are incredibly and undeniably very important to him, although there have been a number of times where you feel like you come second to his work. Which is fine, really, because assuming you both are operators, you get it. The job you both do is incredibly important, it just feels like you put more effort into spending time with him than he does with you, which can be incredibly frustrating at times. As soon as he realizes that you feel like this, he does his best to reassure you that his work isn’t more important than you, but at the same time, you both know that his work isn’t less important than you either.

Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

* Stays up absurdly late some nights, not really realizing how long he has been working for. It’s you who comes down to the lab or his office in your pajamas to coax him away from his work and ask him softly to come to bed. He’ll usually tell you five more minutes, just out of habit but if you ask again he’ll go up to bed with you, finally realizing how late at night it is.

 XOXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

* Very affectionate, especially in private, where there is no chance of anyone catching the two of you. He does tend to kiss you throughout the day, though those tend to be forehead kisses and kisses on the cheek rather than passionate kisses on the lips. Also loves cuddling very much, although he will only do so in privacy. Enjoys being close to you in public, but saves the actual cuddling for home.

Yearning - How will they cope when they're missing their partner?

* Throws himself into his work and disappears into his lab for days at a time, it really depends how long you’re going to be either on the mission for or how long you’re going to be away for in general. Forgets to take care of himself for a couple of days so his fellow GIGN members will have to remind him to sleep and eat and whatnot. His thought process behind throwing himself into his work is that if he doesn’t have time to think about you, he won’t worry about you. This usually doesn’t work though because he finds his mind wandering off to think about you, which leads to periods of intense worry if you’re on a mission. He knows you can take care of yourself, but that does nothing to assuage his fears either.

Zeal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

* Yes, especially once he’s confessed his love to you. He is incredibly devoted to you but draws the line at doing something he would consider morally wrong. Like, would he murder Olivier for you? Yes. He’d do for no reason at all, in a heartbeat. But he wouldn’t do anything super illegal for you. If you were in danger though (i.e. you got kidnapped by a group of white masks or something), he has suddenly forgotten all protocol and his main focus is getting you back safely, following the rules or not.
