This account of mine I vowed to be nothing but art and art related material for anyone following me, I keep the personal non-related stuff away from this platform. This post now is a little off topic but urgent enough in nature to be posted now. Fires, forest fires in particular are something so serious, solutions must be found to fight them and now!!! California is facing once again another catastrophic event. I am a creative glass artist but my skills expand far beyond art. I am a creative thinker and problem solver. I have a potential product design that could aid in the fighting of fires, it’s potentially many different products. I have spent a lot of time trying to reach firefighters who fight these fires and so far I’ve had no luck with reaching anyone’s ear in particular. I turn now to this format of social media to put the concept out there in hopes it will fall into the right hands to be tested and utilized. My concept is based on this premise; Water held in suspension until needed. Any water dumped on a fire or in advance of a fire dissipates fast and becomes groundwater in an instant. To presoak an area in advance of a fire too much water would get lost in the ground by the time the fire hits it. My concept is that there would be baffle strips or tubes of water laid out in advance of a fire, this water would be held in suspension in these baffles or tubes until they are needed to be released. Release mechanisms can be designed into these baffles for instantaneous remote detonation. It is my belief as well that if they need to be moved they could be. My second concept is soaker grids.
