Challenges
& learnings of your personal year
(Solar Return chart) ☀️ Asc ✨

The goals are to transform challenges and discover growth in your personal journey!
Based on my personal experience and that of others, I've noticed that the Ascendant in the Solar Return chart largely defines what we deal with during the year.
Indeed, the topics already known to be associated with the Ascendant for the year receive much emphasis from the sign in the Solar Return chart.
I have a post on the meanings of Ascendants in signs in the Solar Return chart.
The intention is not to foresee what will "inevitably" be touched upon, no, but rather to use the astrological moment to understand what will truly be brought to the surface within us.
Think of yourself as a vast cauldron with many colors.
Like a gradient, colorful cauldron… 🌈
And with each astrological movement, it's as if things from within us begin to bubble up from this cauldron - things we already knew about, or maybe didn't…
Being a deep cauldron full of ingredients, a mixture (just like we are!), among other reasons, perhaps you may not be fully aware or consciously remember all aspects of your personality that need healing, balancing, expanding, evolving.
Because of this, I believe in the importance of seeing astrological movements as catalysts to stir up everything that is already within us.
Nothing that astrological movements bring continuously and intensely was not with us to some extent, whether on a personal level or in the morphogenetic field*
(*= difficulties that our family members bring, which we may not necessarily have activated, but which can be brought to the surface because, to some extent, even if slight, it existed in our personality too).
Therefore, the extent to which these issues will arise and affect each person will be extremely personal.
Below are some possible challenges for each Ascendant:
In terms of TEMPERAMENT, behavioral tendencies, first IMPRESSIONS that you will convey.
Ascendant in Aries: agitation, more nervous temperament, greater impatience, difficulty asking for help, impression of being angrier, more serious, more impenetrable, tendencies towards reactivity and impulsivity, excessive focus on the physical body and appearance.
The importance of reconsidering what it means to be authentic and a person with presence. Do you worry too much about achieving a specific image? An image of being strong, of being impenetrable, for example.
Ascendant in Taurus: difficulty in leaving situations (due to attachment, lack of initiative, comfort zone), more stubborn behavior than usual. Slower to move forward, more tendency to approach the world purely materialistically.
May have a tendency to accumulate more unnecessary things. The importance of understanding the real value of the things you have in your life now and what you intend to do with what you have (possessions and values, also, value in terms of ethics, even morality).
Ascendant in Gemini: challenges with being present in the here and now. Mental inconsistency, difficulty focusing, more agitated temperament, greater possibility of being distracted, difficulty having just one goal.
A busy mind, filled with interests but lacking concentration. The importance of working on effective communication.
Ascendant in Cancer: may take everything personally, memories from the past that you are still emotionally attached to but that do not serve you well may resurface, difficulty moving towards new things, such as new relationships, new emotions.
The importance of looking at your emotions as signals of what still needs to be healed. It will be a year with many emotional things coming to the surface! Observe.
Ascendant in Leo: difficulty with stubbornness, excessive focus on appearance, on what people will see and think of you. Slightly inflated and distorted self-awareness. Pride. Defense mechanisms. Reactivity.
Issues with self-esteem needing to be looked at with more care and healthy self-awareness. Approach to the world less focused on ego.
Ascendant in Virgo: more tendency to deal with the world purely materialistically and utilitarianly. Review your concept of time, of usefulness (yours and others'). More connection with the material world, exaggeration in focusing on productivity, on completing tasks, on feeling useful. Issues with self-criticism and perfectionism.
Be mindful not to fall into jobs and tasks that do not contribute to your growth, that reinforce patterns of endless demand, without ever "really getting there". The importance of paying attention to how much time you allocate to other areas of your life, outside of tasks and work. Physical health care is also important, look into this area as well.
Ascendant in Libra: a tendency to be more predisposed to environments and people, which, in a more negative sense, may end up representing a predisposition to others' desires.
Positively, this has good meanings, but as the focus of this post is on aspects to pay more attention to, I mention: difficulty saying no; greater need for approval; whether you perceive it or not, changing a lot depending on the environment, Libran issues in imbalance that already existed in your personality coming more to the surface in terms of your relationship with yourself and your way of presenting yourself to the world.
Ascendant in Scorpio: challenges with deeper emotions, including those that have been stored away in your emotional field for some time, which will now be brought to the surface with great force, since Scorpio brings forth everything that was hidden in a very strong way, challenges with anger, hurt, fantasies of revenge, which can be quite self-destructive.
In general, challenges with emotionally deep situations. It is also important to pay attention to how much negative and self-destructive patterns are brought to the surface to be seen. Do not hold onto them. Let go, release everything that does not serve you and/or others well!
Ascendant in Sagittarius: challenges with sincerity, excessive humor in meaningless situations, approach to avoiding emotional issues or emotionally more complex issues, toxic positivity, impulsivity, impatience, invasive extroversion, setting aside planning in situations where it would be important, acting with a certain irresponsibility.
It is important to see which points of your personality will be brought to the surface and act in the most appropriate way to be more healthy!
Ascendant in Capricorn: challenges with emotional approaches and being more sensitive to yourself and to life itself. A heavier, more serious, overly responsible approach that leaves no time and space for rest, leisure, and lightness. Dealing with difficulties and problems in a more controlling manner. Competitiveness. Individualism.
Limiting beliefs coming more to the surface. Greater focus on traditional ideas, visions, and practices that no longer serve your own good. It is important to review your paradigms, limiting beliefs, including in relation to your professional life, and how your more serious approach to yourself only reflects an inner child to be rediscovered, released! The lighter we are, the happier we live. And the less serious we are.
Ascendant in Aquarius: challenges with looking at yourself and others more closely, including emotionally, focusing on rationalizing everything, avoiding understanding subtlety and nuances (moving away from your intuition and the more sensitive aspects of your personality), excessive impersonality, excessive detachment, mental inflexibility.
It is important to review how much your internal life is based on logic and how healthy this is for the feminine-masculine balance in your personality. We are one. We don't need halves to fill us, right? Your feminine side may also need to be more integrated.
Ascendant in Pisces: more tendency to connect with energies from the external, from the collective unconscious and conscious, but especially the former. Greater tendency to get lost in the roles of this collective unconscious and have difficulties in centering on your own essence.
The importance of reviewing and reconnecting with your sensitivity, where there are things from the past and from your unconscious to be reinterpreted, transmuted, and perhaps even a moment to balance your mediumship, if you believe in that.

so. what did you think about TGR? as a book and in the context of the tsc trilogy. 🎤🎤 the world wants to know
i have yet to actually articulate my thoughts so i guess this is my official Review hehe. i’ve seen a few people say that a good chunk of it drags and they would shave off a decent portion; i can only somewhat agree a teeny tiny bit with the first part. there are times when it might feel like it’s dragging because it’s so character driven. coming from aftg i can understand why some might feel that way. things are always happening to neil and to the foxes. there are so many external forces at play—riko, drake, nathan, the mf fbi. maneuvering around them for exy is the story. neil trying to survive is the story. this second trilogy isn’t about survival; jean has already survived. a story about healing is going to be slower. and honestly i don’t see how any of this could be shaved off or included in b1 or saved for b3. as much exposition as nora gives is unconventional, sure, but it’s not bad. it’s necessary.
we unlock jeremy’s backstory—or at least a fair chunk of it. he’s such an avoidant mf of course it’ll take us time to know what’s going on in his head (which. hello????? your little brother’s suicide looms over you every waking minute and your older brother wants to ruin your life further and your other brother is Also There In Some Capacity That We Still Don’t Know and the world just keeps turning??????). we’re still learning more and more about jean’s past because of course so many years of abuse will take time to unravel. but jeremy’s voice is so distinct from jean, who is so different from neil. the pacing of these books might not be for everyone and that’s completely fair but it is the best pace for these specific stories. there’s a lot of overlap in the protagonists’ trauma (jean & neil, and jean & jeremy) but the way they go about dealing with it is so different. and that is so hard to do well as a writer so props to her. i think her grasp on her characters’ voice is so impressive.
and i’ve been meaning to say something about nora’s growth as a writer but haven’t had a chance to; gone are the days of (almost) all white cast of main characters! it was a thing she was criticized for with the original trilogy and she took it with a lot of grace. seeing the trojans lineup—the diversity in race, gender, sexuality, religion—and how natural it feels is so refreshing. it doesn’t seem like she was trying to meet a quota. she got something wrong with her debut, she learned, and she made adjustments. i will pointedly not look at another author who is equally popular here and who botched her One (1) canonically black protagonist after being called out for only writing one characters. i don’t know how she’s going to fit the rest of the school year + the moriyama/nathan case into the final book but, as i always say, in nora i trust. she is just so good at knowing exactly what her characters need and not compromising the essence of what makes them so compelling (eg: andrew going to california with kevin despite so many people saying they never want to see that bc of his history with that place. newsflash: the world doesn’t cater to your history. sometimes you have to do hard things. of course it’s andrew and not neil who accompanies kevin. eg: jean saying “have a winning day” despite people wanting a red card for the trojans. and of course it’s rhemann with a steel chair instead). all that to say… 10/10. no notes. excited to see how the exy season plays out bc wdym neil and andrew are both benched for the foreseeable future and the freshmen hate neil 😭 good luck to wymack fr and i pray we get to meet joshua and find out wtf he texted jeremy i’m so sick of guessing at that man’s thoughts even when im in his head like hellooooo

Little Monster Q&A + author fun facts !!
hello new followers and fans of Little Monster. first of all, i just have to thank everyone for the crazy support ive been getting as of late. thank you everyone. every like, comment, and reblog just pushes me to keep writing, even when it feels like every word i write is garbage.
so i decided to make this little special! idk if anyone will be super interested, so ill put all the stuff under the cut, but i also wanted to add this little drawing i did of terzomega as like extra content. if you arent interested, thanks anyway and enjoy the art!
—
to everyone who stayed, i have no idea why you’re interested, but thanks lmfao. this shit will be long.
Questions
Is your most recent oneshot about the mirror related at all to Little Monster? (from @ofthemorningstars)
i'm glad you noticed that !! in The Mirror, i very purposefully left two hints at the end of the fic to indicate its connection to Little Monster, which was the taco ring reference and Terzo's use of "mostriciatto". to me, mostriciatto will always be the Little Monster version of terzomega. no matter when i finish that fic or if i write more fics after, i will never again use mostriciatto unless im purposefully writing these versions of terzomega. i havent seen anyone else use it (i hope they dont), so i like to imagine this can be forever my impact on terzomega fics lmao. anyway, the purpose of me leaving those references isnt necessarily to say, "this is a future scene of little monster" bc it isnt exactly that (while i have plans that line up with this oneshot, i cannot anticipate that everything will fit perfectly by the time we get there in the canon). the purpose of doing that was to show u cuties that yes, terzo and omega will eventually have a better relationship, and i will be extending this timeline into papa terzo era. just a fun little teaser for my more observant fans.
also, fun fact about how i came up with that pet name. i was writing the first part of Little Monster (that part is now titled Spilled Wine as featured on my Ao3) and i knew i wanted to give terzo an affinity for using pet names, but i didn't know quite which ones to use. i didn't want to be boring, so i googled some. i have no idea where, but i found mostriciatto, meaning, of course, "little monster." i had yet to even really start writing it, but i knew i wanted it to be DARK with a very unhinged omega, so i thought, perfect. ill talk a bit more about the writing of part one later on
2. How many parts do you currently anticipate writing? Do you have a set ending point, or will this perhaps be an ongoing project for the foreseeable future? (from @ofthemorningstars)
i have 12 major plot points (including the first five parts i have written) that loosely translate into parts. this could mean 12 parts, or it could be more depending on what i write. i kinda plan on expanding this to 18 (6 parts per “era” or “act” [you’ll see what i mean]) though i dont quite have a set ending yet, so really its up in the air. i am, however, planning on having a definitive ending, ergo not an endless project. from there there may be some oneshots in this universe, but they will have an ending.
3. In the first part of little monster you put a disclaimer with something along the lines of "if you're expecting comfort I'm sorry to disappoint". The angst is MWAH but do you like plan on giving Terzo like any sort of comfort or happiness?? (from anon)
before i begin rambling, here's your answer: there will be hope and good times as mentioned above, and you might have even picked up on that in part 5. i may have wrote a fucked up versions of terzomega but whats a good story without character growth?? i havent determined the direction of the ending, but rest assured, if it all burns down, they will hold each other close (for the minute it takes).
but also.... funny story about that disclaimer....
soo i wanted to write ghost fanfic to impress my friend who is a VERY avid member of this community. however, i failed to realize they DO NOT like angst without love and care and fluff, so after i showed it to them, buddy did not like it. i took that as a sign that maybe this shit was a little TOO dark.
but my god, i could not stop thinking about it, as the caption said, and i dont always feel that away about what i write. i had recently started to post semi often to tumblr, and i just thought. well, theres gotta be someone else as fucked up as me, and i posted that shit. that disclaimer was a result of taking my friends reaction seriously and realizing that i needed to make it VERY clear that this fic is NOT for everyone. there was a different og caption that was longer and more grave, but i cut it down for aesthetics bc little monster has already seen more success than i ever anticipated.
4. What is your favorite ghost album, and what song introduced you to ghost? (from anon) & Favorite ghost song (or songs) (from @ask-enso-ghoul)
my favorite album is Infestissumam!!! the vibes of the album are so fucking immaculate, even if terzo is my favorite papa.
of course, of course, the first song i ever heard from ghost was Mary on a Cross. it blew up when it did and i loved it. the second song that really made me start getting into ghsot was square hammer, which will secretly also be my favorite ghost song but ive heard it so many times i have to give it now to the future is a foreign land. some of my other fave songs are jigolo, respite, body and blood, faith, twenties, and year zero (there’s just so many)
i want to take a second to say my least favorite album though, which is opus eponymous, or as i call it, pope pussy. it’s ok. it’s just ok. mk. i’m not a fan of that sound. the best song on there is genesis. I FUCKING SAID IT—
5. how do you get into the zone of writing smut-? I’m trying to get into it but it sounds cheesy when I do, so do you do something specific? (from anon)
im gonna level with you. i have been writing for almost a decade, since i was 12, and the first thing i started writing was smut. sex has always been a HUGE creative force for my writing and art in general. as stupid as it sounds, writing smut to me is more than just that. its my art. its my greatest and most inspirational subject. i love being creative with it, bending it to the niches and intricacies of the duo im writing, just playing with it as a medium of expression, of storytelling, of how DEEP it can be.
that being said, one of the easiest ways to get into the zone of smut specifically is being horny ! you imagine your pairing doing some illicit bedroom activity and you pick them up liek dolls and smush their faces together ! let it be fun, and let it be yours. dont write it to please the kinks of your audience, write it to your own taste and enjoyment.
as far as it being cheesy, yeah, it will feel that way. the most important thing is to be confident with your language and don’t shy away from calling a dick a dick, a pussy a pussy, an ass an ass. it feels stupid, but it will read worse if you make up artsy names for them every other line. don’t be afraid to be descriptive either, because that’s what the people want to see, trust me.
apologies if that was unhelpful, ive just been writing smut so long i can hardly tell you how i do it. im jsut super passionate about it and it fuels me creatively….. can u tell lol
6. Favorite work you’ve ever done? (from anon)
so.... ive written many things and that depends. its definitely not anything ive posted on here.
i think my favorite "serious" work is a short story i wrote for a creative writing class, called Abel and Sally. it was an modern inversion of the bible story of abraham and sarah, with a really dark ending (i love to shit on catholicism)
the other work that comes to mind is the first story i wrote about my oc anson, called Anson's Prison. that is something i would potentially post on here, its pretty short but its a good one. its oc content, tho, so i doubt many ppl would be interested lel.
8. will you draw more drawing for your stories in the future? (from anon)
well. heres my thing with art.
ive been drawing as long as ive been writing. but im not an artist; i never learned ANYTHING beyond like drawing itself, i.e. i dont know how to shade, pick colors, do bgs, etc. (can u tell??? do u see that art up there???? can YOU TELL??) thus, i have a sort of love hate relationship with drawing, and i usually dont like my own stuff. i didnt pick up drawing as easy as i did writing and its not nearly as intuitive to me.
that being said, it is sometimes fun when the drawings turn out just right and i get super passionate about something i draw and i can create the image in my head. so if the mood strikes me, i probably will draw more terzomega stuff in the future.
but why do i need to?? feeds you all SO WELL with little monster stuff you dont need my shitty art lmfao
9. MILK OR CEREAL FIRST? (from anon)
cereal. bc the moment the milk hits that cereal u are on a speedy ass countdown to devour that shit before it gets soggy, and brother, u better eat quick.
Things I wanted to share
Little Monster was supposed to be a one shot
so, Little Monster started as one thing and turned to something else entirely. originally, i wrote the beginning of the first chapter (where they are flirting in the church) in about april of this year. in this version, they were supposed to already be in love, though hiding it, and terzo was not drunk at all, just teasing. i eventually scrapped it because i wasnt very passionate about it and got p bored. then, in july, i had the itch to write something dark, but none of my projects at the time had characters i could really write that with. i came back to that scrapped fic and i thought, damn, i could really fuck these guys up, and i did.
little monster immediately became more successful than i thought it would be, and that was only about 10 notes and a comment in. i was happy to leave it at that, but then, i just started writing part two on a whim. if you look at the og post in the comments, i mention that im writing a "follow up". thats bc even when writing part two, this was not going to be a series !! but then, as i kept writing, part two became so long i had to split it in half, meaning there were suddenly 3. by the time i posted part three, though, i was shocked at the sheer amount of attention i was getting. at the same time, part three ended in such a way that i knew this story needed to keep going, to give these two a resolution. now, little monster will be a full fledged story thanks to all the support ive received :3
2. im an english major
yeah, you got me, im a college student majoring in english creative writing. is it obvious? my penultimate goal is to one day be a published author. it’s crazy surreal to me how much people express to me how they enjoy my writing~~ i hope i can one day make my dream come true 🥰 the unfortunate part about this is i go back to college next week and im uncertain how that will affect my writing schedule :p i’ll stick to weekly uploads for little monster tho dw !!
3. this is the first time i’ve written fanfic in several years
when i first started writing it was frerard and peterick fanfics on wattpad in middle school (huge shoutout to the ones that know lmfao). i stopped writing those before hs and haven’t written fanfic since. i think it’s very funny that i have come full circle back to writing band fanfic, altho ghost ofc is way more intricate with its canon
4. I LOVE YOU GUYS
i know i’ve said it a dozen times already on this post, but god it’s crazy. it’s nuts !! i’ve already made a handful of super sweet mutuals who i appreciate with all my heart, and even if you’re just a lurker, I STILL APPRECIATE YOU. EVERY SINGLE NOTE MAKES ME SO HAPPY. EVERY COMMENT AND RB HAS ME BURSTING WITH JOY.
it is entirely thanks to you all that i write terzomega and ive become so passionate about it. if it weren’t for your support, i would probably still be writing my silly little stories that no one but me could possibly understand, rotting away and wondering if anyone would even like my writing. terzo and omega are such a unique pairing compared to what ive written before, and writing them is a really cool feeling. i truly love it, and i hope i can continue to feed this side of the fandom for a long time.
from the bottom of my heart and with all my writing soul, thank you. i want to keep writing for u guys, and i want to satiate ur dirty terzomega fantasies >:) this is such a sweet and inclusive fandom and im glad i’ve been welcomed in so quickly. i hope i can continue to grow my talent here :3
ok that’s it bye teehee

Hi. Today is the Ides of March, and I come to you not to defend Caesar but to contestualize his killers. Because I've noticed most people here are directly or indirectly influenced by William Shakespeare's play on the events, play that alters a few facts and presents Marcus Junius Brutus as the most sympathetic character of the entire mess for sake of drama, and forgoes ENTIRELY the historical context. Being Italian I grew up with MOST of said context, so allow me to present you with the series of civil wars that ended the Roman Republic.
The dominoes started being placed at the very start of the Republic, when, according to legend, the last king of Rome, Lucius Tarquinius Superbus (properly translated as Lucius Tarquinius the Fucking Arrogant - the English language doesn't have the right word to translate "superbus"), got the Romans so furious that they joined forces and chased him and his family out of town under the leadership of Publius Valerius and Lucius Junius Brutus (this name is important, remember it). No matter if the legend has any basis in history, the Roman here started LOATHING the King, and while the office was maintained as the Rex Sacrorum (King of Sacrifices) for its religious significance it lost all its political power, and every year the holder would be ritually chased out of Rome as a reminder of what happened to Tarquinius, a tradition that apparently continued all the way until the office's abolition under EMPEROR TEODOSIUS THE FIRST (the Romans loved tradition and could hold a grudge for a long time). Also, the Romans reformed their government around the Senate, whose families, the Patricians, formed Rome's nobility, so that they could properly rule their city, the villages and towns directly subject to it, and the largish alliance centered around Rome, accounting for any foreseeable future growth of said alliance. Keyword: FORESEEABLE. Because the founders of the Republic apparently anticipated Rome's control to expand at most from the Alps to Apulia, maybe Sicily if the local Greek colonies decided to pick a fight and their friends in Carthage decided to share.
Then the unexpected happened: the antics of the Mamertines, a band of mercenaries turned bandits, dragged Rome and Carthage into war and hatred, and when the second of the three wars ended Rome's hegemony extended from just south the valley of the Po river to Apulia, while the Po valley and the rest of Northern Italy, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, and a large chunk of the Hiberian peninsula were now the provinces of Sicilia, Sardinia et Corsica, Gallia Cisalpina, and Hispania Citerior - and to top it off they had committments in Greece (as the Macedons had briefly entered the Second Punic War) and Africa (where Rome's new ally of Numidia was itching to go at what remained of Carthage's empire, with Carthage pinching every penny to pay the immense war reparations under the wrong impression that once they were done Rome would leave them alone and let them settle the score with the traitorous Numidians). Rome had grossly overextended its territory beyond the capacity of its institutions and was due a reformation - but much of the political power, and the war loot that came with it, was in the hand of the Patricians, and any workable reform would by necessity dilute said power, for starters by recognizing that many of Rome's Italian allies were now Romans in every way that mattered except the citizenship and its privileges (including a larger share of the war loot), and that the common people of Rome, the Plebeians (that's their literal name), were owed either a larger share of the loot themselves or some state-owned lands that various Patricians and Equites (the wealthy merchant class of former Plebeian extraction) had bought up. Thus the reformations stalled, for almost a century.
Then came Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus, who, recognizing the problem, used his term as Tribune of the Plebs to start addressing the problem and force a land reform in the Senate's throat, but in the process he broke a number of unwritten rules and was lynched on the orders of the Pontifex Maximus (this being one of the two circumstances where a Tribune of the Plebs could be killed in spite of being under religious protection, and the Pontifex had to explain himself after the fact or be executed himself). Thus the Senate was able to sabotage the reform by not allocating any fund to it. Then, to their dismay, Gaius Sempronius Gracchus, Tiberius' younger brother, was elected Tribute and continued his work, even trying to extend citizenship to the Latins and Latin rights to the other allies... And used violence first, eventually leading to the Senate passing an emergency bill to kill him, even bringing weapons inside Rome's Pomerium (the area of Rome where bringing weapons was usually forbidden on pain of being beaten to death on the spot, and where any official's military power was annulled the moment they stepped in) if necessary. Factional violence had started.
Eventually, and with a war against Rome's Italian allies that had grown tired of just waiting to be recognized as proper Romans (plus the irreducible Samnites making one last play at reconquering their independence) that ended when the Consul Lucius Julius Caesar made the Senate cough up that citizenship (and the Samnites being wiped out as a nation for continuing the war even after Rome coughed up the citizenship), the factions coalesced around two well-meaning strongmen: the Populares, serving the interests of the people (including the Plebeians, a number of impoverished Patrician families, and part of the wealthy Equites merchant class) and led by the Plebeian war hero Gaius Marius, and the Optimates, serving the interests of the elites (the Patricians and the majority of the Equites) and led by the Patrician war hero Lucius Cornelius Sulla. Both Marius and Sulla, who had fought together against the new king of Numidia Jugurtha, recognized Rome was speeding toward self-destruction (Jugurtha literally PAYING OFF a number of Roman generals before Marius took over that war and brought Sulla to help whip the demoralized troops back into shape had proved that) and something had to be done, but disagreed on how... And eventually a civil war was fought. Marius initially had the upper hand, seizing Rome while Sulla and his army were away fighting Mithridates, but he died by old age before Sulla's return, and without him the Populares couldn't stop Sulla from winning back Italy. The first round went to the Optimates, with Sulla forcing reforms that stabilized the situation for a time before retiring for fear of becoming a tyrant. Sulla also took the chance to have a number of Marius' allies killed, but was persuaded to spare Marius' nephew - a skilled and brave swordsman named Gaius Julius Caesar. He still left his allies with a warning, that in this young man he saw many Marii - for this guy was THAT Julius Caesar (and a nephew of the now late Lucius Julius Caesar).
After Sulla's retirement and eventual death, things started unraveling again due the one thing he had failed to account for: the Senate was corrupted. So corrupted that eventually control of the state was usurped by three men: Pompey the Great, one of Sulla's old lieutenants and the war hero who destroyed Sertorius' Populares army in Hispania, saved Rome from the existential threat posed by the Illyrian pirates (who had grown strong enough to endanger Rome's grain supply due the Senate's corruption), and finished off Mithridates; Marcus Licinius Crassus, the richest man in Rome, the war hero that defeated Spartacus (and had Pompey promptly steal the glory as he was returning from Hispania), and major asshole who got so rich by buying up the firefighters, come to any house on fire, and telling the owner that if he didn't sell him the house at a much reduced price he'd let it burn (he was also the most hated man in Rome); and Julius Caesar, not yet a war hero in spite of how his own run-in with pirates went (those pirates thought he was joking when he paid up twice the ransom and told them he'd come back and have them all hanged to crosses. They realized he was serious when they discovered who exactly had just led a Roman fleet to storm their base and capture them all) but the apparent leader of the Populares by virtue of who his uncle was. With this arrangement, Crassus went to the east to try and conquer Parthia, Caesar got himself made governor of Cisalpine and Transalpine Gauls and got to work to conquer the rest of the Gauls at the first excuse, and Pompey remained in Rome to hold the fort... But Crassus got himself killed like an idiot, and without him the Senate was able to bring Pompey back into their Optimate fold. And when Caesar came back from the Gauls as a conqueror he knew he had two choices: go back peacefully and get killed, or take Marius' mantle and march on Rome. He choose the latter, and when the dust settled Caesar was the master of Rome and Pompey was dead, assassinated by the courtiers of Ptolemy XIII of Egypt to try and appease Caesar but instead royally pissing him off (that's how Cleopatra became the Queen of Egypt, she knew killing Pompey was a stupid idea and was already an exile, so when Caesar got the news she allied herself with him), with only one remaining Optimate army still resisting in Sicily under Pompey's son, Sextus Pompey.
Caesar was a much different man from Sulla. For starters, his reforms followed the Populares' ideals. Also, he didn't like to have people executed for being political enemies - a honorable death on the battlefield was one thing, but having someone killed in peacetime for having different political opinions was another, and Pompey's surviviving soldiers fell for him when Caesar ordered his men to let them live. And then there's the part that usually gets omitted in Italian school books: he had no intention to relinquish his power once he was done, and even planned to make himself King of Rome, even with the ghost of Tarquinius still looming over Rome. Being a genius, however, he decided to test the water first, most notably by arranging for his trusted lieutenant Mark Antony to publicly offer him a crown while STARK NAKED, so that it could be dismissed as a tasteless joke if needed. The people booed at Antony's action, so Caesar rejected the crown and tried to pass it off as a tasteless joke... But part of the public opinion started wondering about Caesar's true intentions, and a number of Optimates decided it was time to deal with Caesar.
These men, the self-proclaimed Liberators, were a number of lesser Optimates that for various reasons felt personally insulted by Caesar (one even owed him money), and took Caesar's probes toward kingship as excuse. Their leaders were Gaius Cassius Longinus, who Caesar had refused a political appointment in favor of someone else, and Marcus Junius Brutus, direct descendant of the Brutus that led the Romans against Tarquinius and infamous weathervane who joined anyone who seemed to be the strongest, first choosing to side with Pompey, who had his father's killed during Sulla's purges, because his allies had sided with him against Caesar, then siding with Caesar when he got the upper hand, and now realizing that his entire political career was at Caesar's whim (it was in fact him who got the appointment Caesar denied to Cassius) and the master of Rome could change his mind any time, and seemed rather inclined to support his trusted lieutenant Mark Antony and his grand nephew Octavian. The Liberators waited for a Senate session outside the Pomerium (as a number of Senators were also holding military offices), thus in a place where carrying weapons was allowed, and with their knives jumped Caesar on the Ides of March. The tyrant was dead, and they could now take whatever political office they wanted while Cicero, Rome's most honest man who was nonetheless biased toward them as an Optimate, brokered a peace with Caesar's allies... But they had mistaken Antony as a brute. At Caesar's funeral Antony gave a legendary speech and read out Caesar's will, in which he gave lavish gifts to the masses of Rome, thus turning the entire population of Rome against the Liberators to such a point Sextus Pompey didn't want anything to do with them, and igniting the third of the four rounds of civil wars that would destroy the Roman Republic and turn it into the Empire.
In conclusion, was Caesar killed for a good reason? Most certainly yes. But was Brutus a hero? Nope. He was a weathervane ready to switch sides the moment the tide turned, and turned on Caesar out of fear he'd cut his political career off if he opposed him (though Mark Antony turning the entirety of Rome on him apparently restored his coherency, as during the following war he finally fought to his own death). Thus screw Caesar, screw Brutus, and screw Mark Antony for restarting the war. Only Cicero and Octavian can be spared. Wait, wasn't Octavian just Caesar's grandnephew? Well, yes... But he was also Caesar's legal heir, equally ambitious and brave but much smarter and cunning, enough to secure his power first by allowing Antony to screw himself over by thinking with his lower head (Antony cheating on his wife Octavia with Cleopatra in spite of Octavia being the very model of a Roman bride pissed off a LOT of Romans. Especially her brother, who happened to be Octavian himself) and then by actually solving the entire problem of Roman institutions having overextended themselves (you know, what had started the entire mess to begin with), thus creating the Roman Empire while assuming the name of Augustus.
As for the knife block? It's made in Italy. Because we may hold Caesar as a national hero to this day, but with such an obvious joke...

Keeping Track of Finances: The Finest Practices

The Debut of Bookkeeping and Its Evolution
The earliest uses of bookkeeping date back thousands of years ago, in the Mesopotamian times, where records were kept on clay tablets. The first one credited to have introduced the double-entry system (a system still used nowadays) is Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi (lived between 790-850), a scholar of Iranian nationality, but the popularity to this kind of system was actually brought much later (in the 1400s) by Luca Pacioli.
There are some other few practices belonging to ancient times that are still used nowadays (detailed record keeping, taxing, deferred revenue, etc.) and have been adapted so as to be in tune with the evolved and fast-paced world of today.
An important aspect of the process of bookkeeping is emphasized by the fact that it is preliminary to accounting and the greatest difference between the two is that bookkeeping is rather administrative, while accounting plays a more analytical part. Nevertheless, for a successful outcome, both of the aforementioned need to be acknowledged for the important part they play.
The Responsibilities of Bookkeepers on the Other Side of Data Entry
In order for transactions to be properly accounted for, there are some processes to go through and the one responsible for their welfare is the bookkeeper. Making informed financial decision or being financially organized can prove to be difficult if the one making them is not accustomed to the field, therefore the need for a professional arises. There are some key responsibilities an expert has to fulfill in the interest of being an appropriate adviser:
The ability to be a good manager of accounts payable and receivable, while creating and maintaining precise financial records;
The refined skill of recording transactions in an accurate manner;
The qualification to compare bank statements to financial records and, if necessary, correct any potential discrepancies while guaranteeing a rigorous track of cash flow.
The most indisputable need for bookkeepers is highlighted by businesses’ growth and the owners’ urgency to save time and prioritize their company, while having records being kept accessible and well structured. Another relevant aspect is the insight such a professional offers regarding profitability and performance.
All in all, both this field and the people and companies it aids are equally beneficial for the welfare of society working as a whole.
Bookkeepers in Dallas: A Story That Goes Back Decades
The rise of businesses in the state of Texas took a great leap in the late 19th century, allowing for bookkeepers in Dallas to rightfully offer their services to both enterprises and individuals. Some of the most important fields that evolved were the trading, banking and oil related ones, thus making bookkeeping services essential for their progress. In the early days, these services were rather informal and the merchants doing bookkeeping kept handwritten records in ledgers.
What really put the profession on the map was the industrialization of the city, as well as the appearance of corporations, creating work places and a space for development. In 1870, the materialization of railroads was pivotal in making Dallas a trade hub, therefore transforming bookkeeping into a more structured line of work, in the pursuit of helping growing businesses.
What nowadays is seen as some sort of digital revolution, back in the day (1990-2000), it was a very significant milestone as the rudimentary way of balancing the books was finally getting an impressive upgrade with the help of computers and internet. Even though launched in 1983, QuickBooks was only starting to be appreciated in the 1990s, becoming a standard for the industry. This was also the beginning of outsourcing, thus offering the possibility of remote bookkeeping services.
In today’s world, with the help and integration of automation and artificial intelligence, the foreseeable future is one represented by fewer unnecessary and time-consuming human actions (such as data entry), therefore allowing for a much better organized system.

Dallas Bookkeeping Services: An Acclaimed and Emblematic Presence
The presence of the Dallas bookkeeping services started being more visible along with the need for such assistance. The city soon became a well-known focal point very close to the heart of Texas, therefore being a great geographical hub. Therefore, a competitive market was born, in which every firm had some objectives: to offer affordable services, customized solutions, as well as remote ones, domestic and international tax and financial services and so on. Still, some of the most important aspects when choosing a suitable bookkeeper are directly related to the years of experience, reviews from clients, the technology that is used and also the range of offered services.
Bookkeeping is a detail-oriented job, which requires analytical thinking and paying special attention so as to maintain an accurate record-keeping; some other important skills are the organizational ones, as bookkeepers often have to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
In order for a society to create a fruitful alliance, the supply and demand elasticity has to have the ability to stay the same and provide quality over quantity.
The World Through the Balancing of Numbers
It is well known that having the ability to balance the books requires a passion for numbers and everything else they entail. This profession is a very relevant one when it comes to helping the financial field have meaning and make its way up on the corporate ladder or even as a personal type of enterprise. Likewise, individuals have a lot to benefit from it as not everyone has a mind for mathematics and numbers, therefore this kind of services are the type that still pass the test of time, as it has been proven to this day.
The city of Dallas has known great growth throughout the years when it comes to these kinds of services, therefore maintaining high standards regarding the offer and the way financials are being handled. Furthermore, with the help of artificial intelligence and the ever-evolving software, it shows great promise in the matter of managing the monetary area.

The size of the worldwide sensors market is expected to rise dramatically between 2023 and 2033, continuing on its current track of fast development. In a recent research analysis, Future Market Insights predicted that the sensors market will grow at an impressive rate, with a predicted Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.7% over the forecast period, and reach a valuation of US$ 153.0 billion by 2033.
According to the analysis, the sensors industry has significant development potential and is predicted to surpass a worth of US$ 88.1 billion by 2023. The remarkable expansion may be ascribed to the growing need for automation, miniaturisation, and Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets across diverse sectors. The trend of integrating sensors into IoT devices is expected to be a significant driver behind the market’s growth.
One of the key observations in the report is the strategic approach of companies within the sensors market to target emerging economies, such as China, India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. In order to cater to the unique requirements and preferences of these markets, companies are establishing local production facilities, distribution networks, and sales channels.
Key Takeaways – Force Sensor Market Study
Automotive and medical & healthcare industries would remain key end users of force sensors. These two verticals currently account for a collective market share of nearly 40%.
Rising demand for portable medical devices and assist machines for emergency medical treatment is likely to push the adoption of force sensors by healthcare industry at a higher rate.
In-house development of paper force sensors for musical applications is expected to create new growth opportunities in force sensor market.
The capacitive force sensor will continue to lead the way in force sensor market throughout the projection period.
Medical & Healthcare Industry Turning into a Hub of Opportunity
Growing emphasis on improving the quality of healthcare services offer significant opportunities to force-sensing technology developers. Increasing demand for force sensor in various healthcare applications such as infusion pumps, patient weight monitoring systems, physical therapy, surgical staple guns, and oxygen tank monitoring are expected to create new and lucrative opportunities for manufacturers in the force sensor market. However, long regulatory approval processes and counterfeit semiconductor components are major challenges that may hamper the growth of the force sensor market.
Product Innovation to Remain Key Strategy
Key vendors focusing on force sensor platforms are strategizing to develop and innovate new products related to intelligent force measuring technology in order to achieve full global coverage and offer precise global force measurement services.
In September 2019, Haehne GmbH launched intelligent force measuring technology with IO-Link. This IO-Link interface for force tension sensors is used for force measurement 4.0. The IO-Link from HAEHNE is a global data interface with intelligent two-side communication for data transmission among the plant control systems and the force measurement sensors in the field.
Applications of Force Sensor Technology in Musical Industry

Salesforce: UK set to lead agentic AI revolution

Salesforce has unveiled the findings of its UK AI Readiness Index, signalling the nation is in a position to spearhead the next wave of AI innovation, also known as agentic AI.
The report places the UK ahead of its G7 counterparts in terms of AI adoption but also underscores areas ripe for improvement, such as support for SMEs, fostering cross-sector partnerships, and investing in talent development.
Zahra Bahrololoumi CBE, UKI CEO at Salesforce, commented: “Agentic AI is revolutionising enterprise software by enabling humans and agents to collaborate seamlessly and drive customer success.
“The UK AI Readiness Index positively highlights that the UK has both the vision and infrastructure to be a powerhouse globally in AI, and lead the current third wave of agentic AI.”
UK AI adoption sets the stage for agentic revolution
The Index details how both the public and private sectors in the UK have embraced AI’s transformative potential. With a readiness score of 65.5, surpassing the G7 average of 61.2, the UK is establishing itself as a hub for large-scale AI projects, driven by a robust innovation culture and pragmatic regulatory approaches.
The government has played its part in maintaining a stable and secure environment for tech investment. Initiatives such as the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park and risk-oriented AI legislation showcase Britain’s leadership on critical AI issues like transparency and privacy.
Business readiness is equally impressive, with UK industries scoring 52, well above the G7 average of 47.8. SMEs in the UK are increasingly prioritising AI adoption, further bolstering the nation’s stance in the international AI arena.
Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform, is optimistic about the evolution of agentic AI. Evans foresees that, by 2025, these agents will become business-aware—expertly navigating industry-specific challenges to execute meaningful tasks and decisions.
Investments fuelling AI growth
Salesforce is committing $4 billion to the UK’s AI ecosystem over the next five years. Since establishing its UK AI Centre in London, Salesforce says it has engaged over 3,000 stakeholders in AI training and workshops.
Key investment focuses include creating a regulatory bridge between the EU’s rules-based approach and the more relaxed US approach, and ensuring SMEs have the resources to integrate AI. A strong emphasis also lies on enhancing digital skills and centralising training to support the AI workforce of the future.
Feryal Clark, Minister for AI and Digital Government, said: “These findings are further proof the UK is in prime position to take advantage of AI, and highlight our strength in spurring innovation, investment, and collaboration across the public and private sector.
“There is a global race for AI and we’ll be setting out plans for how the UK can use the technology to ramp-up adoption across the economy, kickstart growth, and build an AI sector which can scale and compete on the global stage.”
Antony Walker, Deputy CEO at techUK, added: “To build this progress, government and industry must collaborate to foster innovation, support SMEs, invest in skills, and ensure flexible regulation, cementing the UK’s leadership in the global AI economy.”
Agentic AI boosting UK business productivity
Capita, Secret Escapes, Heathrow, and Bionic are among the organisations that have adopted Salesforce’s Agentforce to boost their productivity.
Adolfo Hernandez, CEO of Capita, said: “We want to transform Capita’s recruitment process into a fast, seamless and autonomous experience that benefits candidates, our people, and our clients.
“With autonomous agents providing 24/7 support, our goal is to enable candidates to complete the entire recruitment journey within days as opposed to what has historically taken weeks.
Secret Escapes, a curator of luxury travel deals, finds autonomous agents crucial for personalising services to its 60 million European members.
Kate Donaghy, Head of Business Technology at Secret Escapes, added: “Agentforce uses our unified data to automate routine tasks like processing cancellations, updating booking information, or even answering common travel questions about luggage, flight information, and much more—freeing up our customer service agents to handle more complex and last-minute travel needs to better serve our members.”
The UK’s AI readiness is testament to the synergy between government, business, and academia. To maintain its leadership, the UK must sustain its focus on collaboration, skills development, and innovation.

8 Myths About Psychic Readings Debunked
Psychic readings often attract curiosity, yet they’re surrounded by misunderstandings that can cloud their true purpose. Many people hesitate to explore this form of spiritual insight because of myths that have persisted over time. By separating fact from fiction, we can better understand what psychic readings really offer and how they can help bring clarity to life’s uncertainties. Here are eight common myths about psychic readings and the truths that debunk them.
Psychics Can Predict the Future With 100% Accuracy
One of the biggest misconceptions is that psychics can foresee the future in exact detail. In reality, psychic readings provide guidance based on current energies and probabilities. While they can offer insights, outcomes depend on personal choices and circumstances.
Psychics Must Be Face-to-Face to Provide Accurate Readings
Many believe that in-person readings are the only way to get accurate insights. This isn’t true. Services like psychic over the phone and email are just as effective, as psychic abilities transcend physical proximity. The connection is based on energy, not physical location.
All Psychics Use Tools Like Tarot Cards or Crystal Balls
While some psychics use tools to enhance their focus, many rely solely on their intuitive abilities. Tools are optional and vary based on personal preference and the type of reading being offered.
Psychic Readings Are Only for Predicting Romantic Relationships
Though love is a popular topic, psychic readings cover a broad spectrum of life areas. Clients often seek guidance for various personal challenges.
Psychic Readings Are Scams
While fraudulent psychics exist, genuine professionals are dedicated to helping people. Choosing a trusted provider, such as the best psychic Melbourne, ensures an authentic experience. Research and reviews can help distinguish reputable psychics from less reliable ones.
Psychics Can Read Minds
Psychics interpret energy, not thoughts. They tune into vibrations and impressions that provide insight into situations, but they don’t have access to private mental dialogues. This myth often stems from misunderstandings about how psychic abilities work.
Psychics Are Always "On" and Reading Everyone They Meet
Psychics are not constantly in tune with everyone’s energy. Most approach their abilities like a profession, turning them on or off as needed. Ethical psychics respect boundaries and only offer readings when requested.
You Need to Believe in Psychics for a Reading to Work
Scepticism doesn’t block the energy that psychics work with. While openness can enhance the experience, even those unsure about the process can benefit from a reading. A trusted provider of psychic reading Melbourne can demonstrate how readings work regardless of belief.
Choosing the Right Psychic for an Authentic Experience
Finding the right psychic requires careful consideration to ensure a meaningful and authentic experience. Start by researching reputable psychics with proven track records and positive reviews. Look for professionals who specialise in areas relevant to your needs. Trust your instincts when choosing a psychic, as a strong connection is essential for an effective reading.
Final Thoughts
Psychic readings are a fascinating way to gain insight into life’s challenges and opportunities. By debunking these myths, it’s easier to approach the experience with an open mind and realistic expectations. Whether you opt for an in-person session or a convenient phone reading, the most important factor is finding a trusted psychic to guide you.
