Question for any of your stories: how many chances of Lila forcing Felix to watch a Mr. Blobby marathon if given the chance?

Okay...sorry for taking so long to reply, I got real busy these past few weeks. First off all, UK television once again reminds me how utterly cursed most British pop culture is. I think I'd have been better living in blissful ignorance. And secondly, I personally think it's the opposite.

Knowing now what horrors Mr Blobby entails, I'd bet money on the fact that Colt Fathom had, on multiple occassions, placed a younger Felix in front of the TV while it was on, just so he could neglect the kid and go clean his guns or whatever. I'd say Felix is unfortunately familiar, but would 100% try to mentally scar Lila for life by forcing her into a marathon.

However, in the unlikely scenario that Felix was fortunate enough to never be exposed to it, and Lila discovered Mr Blobby first...she'd absolutely try to blackmail him into watching the entire thing with her. After all, Lila's biggest love (aside from being the center of attention) is inflicting untold amounts of emotional damage onto other people!

super simple low-effort ao3 summary methods that are 1000% better and 1000% less annoying than just saying you suck at summaries:

copypaste the first few lines of the fic. u already wrote ‘em. let ‘em be their own damn hook

if ur feeling fancy & don’t mind showing ur hand a bit, copypaste the first few lines of the fic that u feel are esp. Important or Interesting - the ones where u first start getting into the real meat of things

state the main tropes! theyre probably already in ur tags - just say them again - maybe as a full sentence if ur feelin fancy. or with a joke if ur feelin Extra fancy

ask a question. pose a hypothetical. eg what happens if u take [character] and put them in [situation]?

make an equation. [character] + [thing] = [outcome]

just write like a one-sentence summary of what the fuck is going down. just one (1) sentence. doesnt matter if it doesn’t cover every important aspect. or if it sounds bland. any summary sentence is gonna be miles better than “idk i suck at summaries”

just…explain the fic like u would to a friend? it doesnt have to be a polished back of the book blurb. it can just be “[pairing] coffee shop au, but like, still with murder, and also i made everyone trans. enjoy”

Another moment of unprompted realism from Disney comics features the Evronian cruiser Centurian, the pride of the Evronian navy... Centuries ago. In the modern day it's an extremely old relic, with most of the crew considering the assignment a punishment detail, and the antimatter alternator often making a rather annoying nose until a gigantic technician doesn't apply the "standard procedure", that is a punch.

Still, it remains powerful enough to casually trounce Earth's most powerful military... Until the antimatter alternator BREAKS DOWN the moment it's needed to actually do its job and supply large quantity of energy.

sometimes when reading classic superhero porn fic scenario "hero is auctioned off to a group of bad guys who are bidding for the right to do evil 😉 things to them 😍" i'm like i love this but man it's so common, who started this trope? what porn fic got this thing going? is it from the livejournal era, perhaps? from the days of print zines? and then i pick up an innocent dc comic to read and like okay nevermind dc was stroking it to that idea before any of us got the chance to invent it

I've had this idea rotating in my head for a while about a specific scenario in a universe where nobody is ever clued in on the fact that the bats are related. They just assume that Robin, Red Robin, Red Hood, Nightwing, and everybody else just coincidentally happens to be Gotham (+Bludhaven) based like Batman is.

Do me a favor and imagine the aftermath of some stage five hall hands on deck crisis where everyone and their team has to gather for debriefing and for medical care. Everybody shows up with their respective teams, Nightwing with his Titans, Red Robin with the old members of YJ, Red Hood with the Outlaws, Batman with the JL ect ect.

Everyone is super tired from the battle and none of them are even given a moment to breathe before Red Hood and Red Robin start beefing on sight. Before anybody can even think to intervene, Nightwing, Orphan, Spoiler, Robin, and Signal join in and they all just start bickering at one another.

Everybody thinks they're about to fight. Like seriously start hashing it out. Thing is, YJ are RR's ride or dies. If RR starts fighting Nightwing then the YJ are gonna fight Nightwing. And then the titans are gonna fight the YJ because those are Nightwing's ride or dies. Same goes for all the teams and their respective leaders.

Everyone looks across the room going, "Am I gonna have to fight you? Man, I don't wanna fight you." They could not wanna fight because of the prior battle, out of respect for their potential opponents, or because they know that opponent would whoop their ass. But they'll still do it because that's their leader.

Eventually all of them stop their bickering, suspending the room in tense silence, as they stare each other down. Everybody is bracing themselves for the first punch and the JL is preparing to break up the fight, but instead the silence is broken by all of the birds turning their heads in one direction and yelling, "Daaaaaaddd!"

The room is dead silent enough that everyone can hear Batman's exhausted sigh echo through the room before it's followed by, "You're all grounded."

See my problem with that is that, like most Zoé ships, it just feels like a bootleg Chloé ship

My problem is that it looks like Sabrina is literally going after the closest thing to Chloé, it's just unhealthy.

It's a problem I have with very few characters and usually it's for more legitimate reasons. For example in DP, I feel weird shipping Danielle with anyone because it feels like I'm just genderbending Danny. Both because she is his genderbend clone, but also because she has such little screentime and the few characters she does interact with have the same dynamic with her as they do Danny.

Zoé though. Very few things about her are her own. So much of her already feels like she was created to replace Chloé's redemption arc getting scrapped and they needed someone to fill the void.

So having Sabrina fall for her would be just another thing that feels like it should've gone go Chloé instead.

And then yes there's the watsonian to the doyalist: Sabrina still being so hung up on Chloé that she's trying to replace her
