Mustafa Monster, at Jiro's internship?
Ba-ba-ba-ba-bump, Ba-ba-ba-ba-bump, Ba-ba-ba-ba-bump, Ba-ba-ba-ba-bump!
Four heartbeats. Four, familiar, heartbeats. Kyoka unconsciously takes a step back. Her breath hitches in her throat, almost swallowing her choked whisper of, “Midoriya…?”
Instantly, twelve wide eyes swivel directly towards her, burning in intensity. The beast—Midoriya, her classmate—lets out a low whine and scurries back, almost clumsy. The terrifying predator they’ve been chasing through the streets is gone, replaced with something frightened, even timid. As skittish as Midoriya is whenever anyone glances at him—
“Scared, huh?” Death Arms grins, smacking his fists together. “Good. Glad to see you know when you’re outmatched. Nowhere to run this time. This beast hunt is over.”
What does she do? Panic bubbles in her chest, risking tearing its way out of her mouth, but she’s only a first year. What is she supposed to do? How does she tell a Pro Hero that the monstrous Vigilante they’ve been hunting is a boy her age? Her classmate? The kind boy who never hesitates to defend anyone around him even though he looks like he’s a single sharp glance away from a panic attack?
Ba-ba-ba-ba-bump-ba-ba-ba-ba-bump-ba-ba-ba-ba-bump-ba-ba-ba-ba-bump-ba-ba-ba-ba-bump!
Oh.
Shit.
He’s having a panic attack.
The sick cracking of muscle and bone echoes around them as a pair of wings bursts from his back.

Kurotsuba AU for the snippet game.
Even as they return to the waiting area, Jiro keeps shooting glances over her shoulder at him. Her hunched posture and haggard expression are such a striking contrast from her usual aloof demeanor that Izuku feels a pang of guilt.
“No, seriously,” she says, “How the hell did you do that? Nobody’s snuck up on me in my entire life.”
Izuku shrugs. “I move quietly,” he says. Uncle Kurai wouldn’t have let him leave the village if he couldn’t do at least that much. It’s a bit slower to move silently the way he does, but it’s damn effective. In an effort to fill her nonplussed silence, he adds, “It’s a family thing.”
“Ah, yes! Now I remember why you seemed so familiar!” Yaoyorozu says. Tokoyami sits up when she says, “You’re Nightblade’s son, aren’t you?”
Izuku smiles. “Guilty as charged.”
“Nightblade?” says Jiro.
Tokoyami nods. “One of the most fearsome of Edgeshot’s apostles. There are few as skilled as she in Japan, and there are some who call her Edgeshot’s equal.”
Izuku easily hides his surprise. He didn’t realize mom had fans in his class. Even as the sidekick to one of the Top Ten Heroes, her more Underground role tends to attract a certain niche and Izuku wasn’t expecting anyone in his class to be part of that. Though, then again, Dark Shadow is hovering right next to Tokoyami, so it’s not that strange.
“She’d be happy to hear you say that, but mom’s happy staying a sidekick,” Izuku says.

Snippet Game: Blood and Bone
“Which Quirk are you thinking of using?” Pony says. Izuku hums to himself, tossing the ball up and down.
“Wait, which?” says Tokage.
“Yes! Izuku can replicate Quirks!”
“What’re the odds,” drawls Monoma. “So, see anyone here you think would be a good pick?”
“I haven’t had anyone’s blood,” Izuku says idly, running though his mental tally. Kazama’s Wind Storm is a good starting point. Maybe combined with Udou’s? It’d be a good launch with the right pitch. He could ask Kendo or Yanagi. “Except for Pony’s.”
Izuku’s scalp itches as a pair of curved horns grow out from above his hairline. Unlike Pony’s, he twists his inwards like a ram before detaching one and cradling the ball inside.
“You got her blood? I didn’t notice.”
“It was a couple months back.” Izuku smiles, rubbing his fingertips together. He’s been itching to try this one since he got it.
“You—your copies last that long?!” Monoma’s casual façade cracks with indignation. Izuku finally glances back at the rest of the class, brow furled.
“Yeah…? I’m modifying my body; that lasts until I—”
“Midoriya,” says Mr. Kan, not unkindly.
“Right!” Izuku clamps down on the ball, his fingers glowing pink, before he blasts it up with three Quirks.

Aletheia AU for the snippet ask game.
The wall directly beside Izuku shatters with a mighty crash as metal and malice tear through it, skidding out onto the street.
“Target Locked! Prepare For—” Izuku cuts off its threat and its head in a single clean sweep, his scimitar carving through the machine’s neck like a soft clay. The bundle of scrap metal and leaking cables clatters to the ground, its metal shell trembling under its own weight.
Was that all?
Isn’t this supposed to be a test?
The constructs in Aletheia had been far stronger than this. Any machinist who produced something this shoddy would’ve been laughed out of the empire. Even the scrappers he’d met had done more impressive work.
Maybe that’s the idea? If these robots are killed so easily, then reinforcements will run dry well before ten minutes are up. Perhaps it’s a test of speed instead. Izuku refuses to fail here.
As the decapitated robot collapses, he takes off running towards the nearest robot—one he’s been watching with a fly since before the test began. Between steps, he drops, his hands shifting to massive wolf paws before they even touch the pavement. He shakes his fur, shuddering off the always bizarre sensation of his clothing merging with his form.
The robot barely has time to raise its head as Izuku leaps from the alley before he rips its head clean off.

How about a Frozen Legacy snippet?
The ground rattles as frozen winds batter them, piercing through Izuku’s costume and chilling him to the bone. Both of them instinctively shield their faces. Izuku squints through the windstorm for their target, and his stomach drops when he sees her.
Preserve strides towards them almost casually, each step freezing over the ground behind her. It’s as if half the city is made of ice. Worse, her skin is already blue. Izuku swallows. She’s not holding back on them.
“Why should I care about collateral damage?” Preserve says. “This is my domain, Heroes. What are you going to do about it?”
“Kacchan,” Izuku says.
“Shut it,” Kacchan hisses back. “I’m not accepting anything less than total victory.”
“But—”
“Heroes don’t have the luxury of losing, Deku!” Kacchan says nothing else, igniting his Quirk and taking off like a rocket towards Preserve. He whips around for a right hook when a colossal fist of ice bursts from a frozen wall and slams into him, pinning him to the ground under its palm.
“Predictable,” Preserve says, not even sparing him a glance. She steps past Kacchan’s pinned form towards Izuku. “What are you going to do, Midoriya? Twenty-five minutes to go. Care to dance?”

Mirage AU for the snippet ask game please.
Camie hums to herself. She has plenty of practice keeping her arm steady as she sprays paint across the wall. She’s always had better luck going faster on curves and slower on her straight lines, and this piece doesn’t seem to be any different.
It’s not until she finishes crossing the line in the last T that she finally sets down the spraycan and turns to her audience.
“Sup, fam?”
Mr. Yagi snorts. “Same as always, I see.” He nods up at her mural. “Interesting piece. I must admit I’m quite impressed by how quickly you can convert recent events into artistic statements.”
His eyes trail over the center of the piece, someone with animal mutations on an altar crying out in fear as they’re stabbed repeatedly by the distorted black shapes above her, topped with leering skulls.
“Who is the beast,” Mr. Yagi reads aloud.
Camie sighs, pulling down the mask from her face and wiping the sweat around her chin.
“Like, I know the guy totes survived or whatev, but… like, those CRC weirdos have been ganking since Quirks started Quirking, y’know? I wanna remind people a skosh how twisted they are.”
Mr. Yagi nods. “It’s a good thing to remember. There’s more to someone than their appearance, or how many limbs they have. I wish more people thought that way.”

Himiko could use some fluff in Substitute. For the snippet ask game.
“Himiko, kero, would you turn into me?”
“Sure!” Himiko grins up at her. “I’d love to be an adorable froggy!”
“Kero.” Tsu pulls back her sleeve and extends her arm for Himiko. She graciously accepts, giving a quick thanks for the meal before lightly chomping her. She hasn’t had Tsu’s blood yet, and she’s delighted by how rich it tastes. Like when she had tea with Nedzu that one rainy day. Like a warm blanket, her Quirk wraps around her, cocooning her in someone else.
“That is weird,” says Tsu. “It’s not like a mirror at all, kero.”
Himiko giggles in Tsu’s voice, the sound coming out unfamiliar to her ears. “Ta da! Was there a reason you want me to… ooooh! Tsu!” Himiko rubs her now-larger hands together in front of herself. “You didn’t tell me you’re green!”
Tsu nods with another quiet croak. “I can use my Quirk to change colors,” she says. “A form of camouflage, kero. I wanted your opinion on how I could use it.”
Disguising? Oh goodness Tsu is like her! And here she thought Tsu couldn’t get any cuter. Himiko’s chest bubbles with warmth. She… doesn’t need to ask why Tsu is hiding her green skin, not when Himiko herself spent years hiding her tastes.
This is a show of trust. And from Tsu, who was one of the first voices to question whether Himiko should be in UA after the whole “knock out a teacher and commit literal identity theft” thing.
She smiles, the expression different with Tsu’s face. “Leave it to Teacher Himiko!”

For the snippet game, can we please have for the Seiai Au (is that the with transfem Mido at the all girls school)?
Kumiko flops down onto the bus with a sound somewhere between a groan and a relieved sigh.
“I feel that,” Mina says. “Geez… that was brutal…”
Momo nods, using one of the seat backs as a support. “Even knowing that our test would be harder than our usual lessons, I underestimated what would be required.”
“But that’s what it’s going to be like when we graduate,” says Kumiko.
She’s not talking about the fake landslide they spent the past hour digging through. Kumiko means all of it. The HUC may be actors but the people they save will be very real, as will their fear. Seeing people that scared, that desperate, it tugs at Kumiko’s heart, even in a simulation. Her hands tighten into fists in her lap. She needs to be better. People should feel safe when she’s around.
“It will, won’t it?” Kyoka says with a huff. “…Do you think we passed?”
“Probably,” Mei chimes in. “We made good time, no ‘fatalities,’ all in all pretty smooth op. What d’ya think, Scanner?”
Sekigai rolls her eyes with a fond smile. “You’ll remember my name one day, Mei.”
“Unlikely.”
“Anyway. From what I saw with Chart, we did pretty well, but I’m not super sure what the teachers are looking for. Won’t know how we did until we get back.”
“Ugh… anticipation.” Mina groans as dramatically as possible.

Can we get a Kith and Kin AU Snippet?
Sakura raises an eyebrow, taking satisfaction in the way Izuku and Yaomomo fidget in place.
“Really? Nothing happened? You only had an internship with a Top Ten Pro Hero and went to Hosu, when the goddamn League was attacking mind you, and you really want to tell me that nothing happened? Care to try a-fucking-gain?”
“Really!” Izuku says, and Sakura loves her brother but he cannot lie to save his life. “It was a normal internship! Miruko was intense, and we trained the whole week!”
“Uh huh. Nothing happened. The same way that nothing happened last April?”
Izuku freezes. Gotcha.
“Last April?” Yaomomo says. “What happened—”
“Nothing,” Sakura interjects. “As previously stated.” Yaomomo seems to understand that they’re not going to tell her, but damn it if she doesn’t look like a kicked puppy. “You’re looking good, by the way.”
“Oh, I, um, why thank you!”
“Miruko bitch-slapped you and told you to start eating, didn’t she?”
“I wouldn’t put it like that…”
She definitely did.
“What about you?” Izuku says, conspicuously changing the subject. Sakura struggles not to grin.
“Oh, I beat the shit out of a yakuza boss.” She shrugs, ignoring his shock. “How do you feel about a new sibling?”

Reignited AU Snippet Please?
Muscular’s laugh grates on Izuku’s ears.
“That the best you got, brat? I shoulda known better than to think some pipsqueak would be a real threat. Ah well.” He rolls his shoulder. “It’s time to take responsibility for yourself, you know? If you say you’re gonna stop someone, you gotta actually do it.”
Izuku grits his teeth.
He’s not a Hero. He gave up on that long ago. But he’ll die before he lets this bastard touch Kota.
Flame Dancer roars in Izuku’s blood, sparks burning in his eyes. Something within him finally clicks, like a key in a lock, as adrenaline floods his system. He gasps at the weight, or maybe the lack of weight, and with all the power roiling within him, he pulls.
Muscular’s grin falters as the winds change. He pauses midstep, looking around as blue flame streaks across the sky. Rivers of fire rushing and twisting, tearing the blaze off the trees, and wrapping around Izuku like a billowing cloak. The heat warps the air, shimmering from the mirage.
The forest goes dark; the fires gone.
The only light left now is Izuku, the beacon adorned in an azure sun.
He presses a hand against the stone, blackening and cracking it, as he pulls himself back to his feet.
“Now we’re talking!” Muscular jeers. “I’d given up hope on you, but—”
In an instant, the inferno envelops him completely.

AU Snippet Ask Gale: Keraunos AU
A hand reaches into Izuku’s hair and ruffles his curls. He chuckles quietly to himself, not bothering to look up at the source of the familiar touch.
“What’re you doing here, Tenko?” he says instead, taking another bite of Katsudon, and ignoring his friends’ curious stares. “You don’t go here.”
“What?” Tenko says, sliding into the set next to Izuku. “Can’t I visit my favorite brother?”
“Midoriya!” says Iida. “I didn’t realize you were also from a Hero family!”
Izuku sighs. “I’m not.”
“Yet,” Tenko interjects.
“But he’s teasing me because Star is dating my mom.”
Izuku keeps eating lunch instead of acknowledging how everyone’s jaws just hit the floor.
“Pfft. I’ve seen how they look at each other. I’m betting on them being married by this time next year.”
“With who?”
“All Might, duh.”
“I’m very happy for you and your mother, kero,” Asui—Tsu—says. “But is that a conflict of interest?” Well if it was, it would’ve already been one considering the whole ‘One For All’ thing, but honestly at some point Izuku simply stopped questioning the way things happen around him.

AU Snippet Ask Game: White Court AU
“Report,” says Inko, curtly but not coldly.
Nedzu nods. “The Gollini Family has fractured, as predicted. The loyalist faction is far larger than Valdo’s, but we can’t discount the power of Valdo’s Quirk, nor his subordinates. I recommend monitoring them and picking them off via local Heroes.”
“Approved. What else?”
“Our negotiations with the Scervino family went well; the young lady is already en route to Japan.”
“I’m certain White Prince will be able to help her.” Inko hums. “Anything else pressing beyond the borders?”
“There’s been an uptick in mercenary operations; from my analysis I believe this is the fractured remains of All For One’s criminal enterprises desperately trying to remain relevant.”
“A dying gasp or a second wind?”
“Nothing concerning yet. These people were chosen for loyalty, not cunning. I expect they’ll be gone in a few months. What worries me is the aftershocks.”
“Yes, these operations could embolden others to use freelancers. Could be trouble politically. The homefront, Mera?”
“Worse than we’d like, better than we’d hoped,” he says. “Hearts and Mind party is making major waves, and I suspect some recent hires are plants.”

Snippet game: Valiant please?
Izuku hears her coming but chooses not to move.
“Vally!” Himiko cries as she crashes into his back in a tight hug that would’ve dropped him to the floor before he’d started training. “I missed you!”
“I bet you did,” Izuku says warmly. “You’ve had a crazy week, huh?”
“Stain sucked…” Himiko nuzzled her cheek in closer. “I was hoping he’d be cute ‘cuz he’s got knives like me and did you know he drinks blood?” Izuku didn’t, but he knows he’s not getting a chance to respond, so he doesn’t. “But he’s actually super lame! He just rants about how ‘only my precious All Might is a true Hero and anyone else who saves lives can go fuck themselves.’”
“He must’ve hated you.”
The back of Izuku’s neck tingles as Himiko quickly slides off of him, giving him enough time for the dread to seep in but enough to protect himself from being tackled by a rocketing rabbit.
“Valiant!” Miruko says with a smirk as she pins him to the ground in an arm lock. “Fancy seeing you here! And with your guard down, no less! What was the first thing I taught you?!”
“How to dropkick someone into next week,” Izuku groans out.
Miruko pauses, considers, and says, “What was the second thing I taught you?”
“Never drop your guard, always have an eye on your surroundings, always be ready to defend yourself—”
“And here you are getting taken out like a bitch!”

“You sure do stand out!” Izuku does not react, but he does perk up. “Very interesting performance! Let’s team what the fuck is that?”
“Erm,” Izuku says, watching the new girl stop mid-pitch to lean against his wheelchair for a better look at it. “It’s—”
“I know what it is! What it is-is horrible! Sized for your height not your length, self-propelled, minimal comfort—was this thing made for you in mind at all!?”
“Uh, probably not…? I think it’s just meant for any larger heteromorph—”
“This is absolutely unacceptable.” The girl gags, taking several moments to catch her breath, before adding cheerfully, “Sorry about that! I just imagined you going into the field with this piece of junk!”
Izuku glances down at Uraraka, who meets his bewildered gaze with one of her own.
“I am making you a new chair. One that’s gonna be amazing! You’re gonna love it! You’ll never want to get up again!” the new girl says. “Anyway! What were we talking about?”
Hesitantly, Uraraka says, “The… the cavalry battle—"
“The Sports Festival! Shit! I forgot!” The girl drops a pile of machines on the ground. “I’m Hatsume Mei, 1-H! I have no idea who you guys are but I wanna leverage your performance for myself! Best way for the Support class to stand out is to show off, and you’re the best at that!”

AU Snippet Ask Game: All For Eri AU
The distant rumbling of explosions shakes Kaina from her long-held stupor. She raises her head, having to shake her loose bangs out of her eyes in order to see the door.
One moment the door to her cell is there, sealed hydraulically and vaulting her in. The next, it’s gone. Solid, reinforced steel and concrete evaporated in an instant like a mirage.
A girl steps forward, her heels clicking against the metal floor. The moment she crosses the threshold into the room, the turrets snap to position, locking onto her. Kaina squeezes her eyes shut. She’s seen too much blood already.
The turrets shatter, erupting from within and scattering shrapnel across the room.
“The world’s been mean to you too, huh?” the girl says, voice heavier than any child’s should be. Cautiously, Kaina opens her eyes again, taking in her visitor. She’s dressed in an elaborate gown decorated with fine ribbons. Despite the blaring alarms and the fighting Kaina’s been hearing, there’s not so much as a dirt stain on her. In many ways, that’s more terrifying.
“Who—” Kaina’s voice rasps from disuse. “Who are you?”
“I’m Eri. Though, most people call me All For One.” She shrugs, as if that doesn’t send Kaina’s stomach plummeting through the floor.
“What do you want with me?”
“Everything sucks. I want it gone. I think you can help me with that.” All For One or Eri or whatever this thing is clutches her fists. “The Heroes don’t help. The Villain hurt everyone. Nobody cares. Help me tear it down.”

AU Snippet Ask Game: Bladestorm AU
Genuinely, Asui asks, “What were you thinking, kero? Taking that hit for Uraraka left the bomb open. You nearly lost.”
Izuku’s hands clench into fists. His first training exercise at UA and he’s already showing how weak he is. They told him again and again that Heroes need to be able to take care of themselves. That he should never take his eyes off the enemy, as no Villain would hesitate to strike him in the back. And the moment it happened, he… forgot. He’s supposed to have all this training, and he’s wasting it.
He should be stronger, better, should’ve taken them out easily by himself.
“My body… moved before I could think,” Izuku says weakly. He has no excuse.
“Defending others is the very definition of a Hero!” says All Might. “Even while acting as a Villain in this exercise, you kept that in mind! Well done! And you had the skill to back it up as well!”
…what?
“Indeed,” says Yaoyorozu, “While he may have given Sero an opening to reach the bomb, Midoriya never allowed him to capitalize on it, nor did he damage his partner or the environment, even when he went all out. That is why I believe Midoriya is the MVP of this battle.”
Izuku stands there stunned. This—this isn’t at all what they told him Heroics would be like. This is more like… how he imagined it as a child.
The praise from his classmates washes over him as Izuku takes his seat, a single crack forming in his hardened heart.
