if you're interested to know about the show- you really didn't miss much lol especially you having been a fan for so long what they showed in AYS wasn't anything we haven't seen before except for not hiding their bodies like they usually do. The show didn't show me anything new about their dynamic or them as people. They spent 80% of the time at restaurants or just eating the other 10% was actual activities 5% of them talking (which by the way they really have nothing substantial to talk about it which was probably the only surprising thing about this show- their conversations were either bringing up the other members or them bickering about something dumb) you can tell there was alot of dead silence that was edited out because one moment they're talking then it gets quiet then it cuts to them on their phone lol the last 5% i would say was what people consider typical jikook like jimin being affectionate playful touches yadda yadda yadda

all in all it was kind of eh. I feel as though tbe target audience was for heavily jikook biased only because as an outsider I can't imagine how boring it must have been- even for an army I bet it was okay for them.

After so many years I've learned how to navigate through content and watch only the parts I'm interested in, and that's basically what I did to watch Jimin's clips because I wanted to see what he looked like, or some of his opinions.

I can also tell when something might be relevant or it could be new information, so I watch that too. I'm also able to realize if I need more context around a clip or gif, and in that case I usually look for a longer clip, subtitles, translations, etc. I might even go to the source and watch the episode myself, which is what I did for example when taekook had that conversation in ITS 1. I never watched the show, but I have watched that episode. Gifs, pictures and clips without context are reactionary mostly, and people post them for fun or whatever. But when you go to the source content more often than not is not that impressive after getting the full picture.

As for the show, there's a post I made months ago, around the time it was announced, where I said I had questions about 2022, 2023, and they weren't going to give me answers, so I couldn't bring myself to be interested. And nothing has proven me wrong so far. Them saying they didn't really meet up in 2023 wasn't one of my questions, I was already certain of that so it was more of a confirmation. All in all, I knew how they were going to act because I've been watching them every single day for the past 7 years.

Watching Jimin listen to his music was probably the most relevant thing to me lol. Because we hadn't really seen that! He basically went MIA a while after face, and besides from the hot 100 live, we didn't get to see many of his reactions to his own music. I'm not talking about reacting to achievements but him just listening and appreciating his songs.

Also, his body. Like. I really thought we'd never ever see his full moon tattoo that way.

I've started watching the last episode because it's one of the last stuff Jimin filmed before enlisting, so I want to see it. I still haven't finished it, but yeah I'm watching that just fyi.

I disagree that Jimin was touchy, though. In fact I've noticed he's rather reserved in his interactions with Jungkook, compared to what he used to be like up to 2021ish. But that's also something that's been noticeable for a couple of years. For the record, I don't think any of them were touchy or clingy or none of that stuff. There's a reason the only clip people I've seen people use of them touching is the one from the first or second episode 😭 that's like 1 minute out of 9 hours of content.

Red, red, red. I’ve been loving you for quite some time.

Red is an outstanding album that I know Taylor loves. The promo surrounding Red Taylor’s Version’s release was incredible. The air felt different. Now, Red technically falls into the country pop genre. Personally. I don’t think this album is country whatsoever- with the exception of two songs from the vault: I Bet You Think About Me and Babe. I can’t even say Better Man falls into it. I go back and fourth.

Without factoring those vault tracks, the album to me is pop.

This is an album that deserves more love and attention. My fiancé did not listen to Taylor before we started dating/ got engaged. One day, I was listening to stay stay stay and he later asked, “What was that song you were listening to?” I played it for him and he said he liked it. I had been urging him to listen to Red for the longest time but he refused. Promptly after, we had a Red Taylor’s Version listening party, where he stated “Red is some of her best work”.

(Like…ever.)

The overall flow of the album is something that did not make sense to him. How we go from upbeat songs like 22 to I Almost Do and Stay Stay Stay to The Last Time.

So, then I finally got to explain that the shift in energies within the track list was representative of the way love can be tumultuous and all consuming in the best and hardest ways. The ups and downs of strained and maybe one sided relationships.

It would be disgraceful to not talk about All Too Well 10 Minute Version. When I got to the part of the song that says: “I still remember the first fall of snow, and how it glistened as it fell.” I shit you not, I looked outside and it was snowing. The first snow of the season. Still gives me goosebumps to this day.

Imagine experiencing a relationship so extreme that you are able to write a 10 minute song about your relationship. Now, most people can’t do this and that’s why there aren’t many 10 minute breakup songs. What people CAN do is relate to the lyrics and feel them on a spiritual level because Taylor Swift has the ability to make you feel the lyrics in your bones. That is a huge reason as to why this song captivated so many different people. I feel it was the song that explained and worded people’s experiences in a way that made them feel seen, and that was incredible to watch.

In my opinion, this album had the best promo out of all of the re-recordings. I could just be biased, but damn I love this album so much.

It is ok to not rank it if you cannot relate to it as I feel there is a universal understanding and agreement that it is a heartbreakingly beautiful tribute and song.

Pine by Francine Toon [dropped - couldn't continue this one anymore, it's slow and filled with details that had nothing to do with the actual mystery or the characters themselves - I think other people might have appreciated it for the way it allowed you to visualise the setting so vividly, but to me it was just incredibly boring.]

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen [in progress, told myself I'd read more classics and thought I'd start with one I was supposed to read in high school.]

Spy x Family vol. 1 [finished! 10/10. Immediately bought the 10 volumes out on Amazon after reading this because I enjoyed it so much. Loid Forger is a goldmine of a male character, the kind that's easy to fall for and to root for. Anya is sweet and funny and interesting, and Yor is just the icing on the cake of their dynamic.]

Spy x Family vol. 2 [finished! 10/10 - my goodreads rating system is going to be SKEWED after reading this manga.]

Life In Colour with David Attenborough

Worst Roommate Ever EP 1-2: [the first episode one was WILD, especially because I had no idea this was a true crime when I clicked on it, and so did not expect it was going to involve several dead bodies buried in a little old lady's backyard. I do feel like this was such an intriguing case that I had a hard time finishing the second episode, since it feels so much more ... dull in comparison, as terrible as that is to say about murders.]

David Farrier's Mister Organ [I'm a long-time fan of David Farrier, but didn't get a chance to watch this for a while. This one is a dark, dark tale that has nothing to do with murders. It's all psychological. I'm always amazed with how well Farrier can explore the darkness of humans without turning to the usual things we think of when we think of 'bad' people. I'd also recommend reading this article - which I'll also read on my read articles list - after watching this documentary, just so you know how insidious Michael Organ truly is.]

Into The Deep: The Submarine Murder Case [I don't give the things I watch ratings, but if I did, this would be a 10/10 - it's a unique experience to be able to see footage of how the people close to a murderer react as they realise the kind of person their friend is.]

Revisiting the Charts #2: November 22, 1959 (Billboard Hot 100)

Fast forward a few years, this edition of Revisiting the Charts takes a look at the top 10 of one of the last weeks of the 1950s. The Hot 100 chart as we know it was already pretty much established by that time!

1. Mr. Blue — The Fleetwoods Current Spotify stats: 25.267.083 plays

This song is an odd case. It doesn’t have a strong hook, and at first it may seem boring, but then it goes into rather unexpected and pleasant ways. I’m surprised it managed to be a #1 hit, but it’s definitely a grower.

2. Mack the Knife — Bobby Darin Current Spotify stats: 79.694.412 plays

A classic song with a classic and charismatic performance by Mr. Darin. One of the essential recordings of the crooner era.

3. Don’t You Know — Della Reese Current Spotify stats: 495.769 plays

Mrs. Reese had a pleasant voice, and the fussy arrangement also contributes to make this recording neatly presentable, but not particularly memorable.

4. Put Your Head on My Shoulder — Paul Anka Current Spotify stats: 345.483.464 plays

Another classic that has stood the test of time, as evidenced by its strong streaming numbers. I think overplay killed a little of this song’s magic for me, but I can understand its enduring appeal.

5. Heartaches by the Number — Guy Mitchell Current Spotify stats: 17.812.282 plays

Smart songwriting and a catchy tune, coupled with Mr. Mitchell’s soothing vocals, make this song a worthy hit.

6. Lonely Street — Andy Williams Current Spotify stats: 156.573 plays

While Andy Williams was always recognized as a crooner, not a rocker, you can hear some clear echoes of Elvis Presley here. It was a wise move, as the sound fits the song pretty well, and gives it a distinct freshness.

7. Teen Beat — Sandy Nelson Current Spotify stats: 238.870 plays

Technically speaking, this is not a high quality recording. The music isn’t much better: it sounds like somebody trying to find a tune. Perhaps a more skilled musician could’ve transformed this into something, but the results we have sound more like “Teen Noise”.

8. Deck of Cards — Wink Martindale Current Spotify stats: 379.983 plays

This is an unusually long song for the period (almost 4 minutes!). Some religious/"inspirational" songs can be enjoyable, but this recitation is far too boring and preachy to be such a case.

9. So Many Ways — Brooke Benton Current Spotify stats: 400.926 plays

Sweet romantic song, so charming. I bet it was a popular choice at proms.

10. Primrose Lane — Jerry Wallace Current Spotify stats: 566.102 plays

This one almost reaches the point of generic dullness. Proceed with caution.

I SCREAMED AND I SHOUTED AND I CLAPPED. NOBODY WAS STANDING SO I DIDNT STAND. I felt so bad because there was a family next to me and the dad kinda looked uncomfortable. He was smiling but he looked so uncomfy. I made like two friends and i got two friendship bracelets (even though i forgot to bring mine). Halfway through the movie, the security guards came in to like catch the people who were recording. Super fun. I like cried when YOYOK started playing and i was screaming and the entire theatre was just quiet except just me screaming. Very fun. 10/10, would go again. On a hopefully unrelated note, my eye really hurts. Also, confession: I went to pee during ATW ten minute version and then went into the wrong row, had to shimmy out (i was halfway through that row too) and move one row up.

Going through my library of physical music, part 3/?

I take a random CD from my pile, have a listen and write about it.

This time: Folie à Deux by Fall Out Boy

I think I know this album better than myself. There is not a second I wouldn't anticipate, a riff I wouldn't recognize or a line I couldn't explain.

My journey with Folie à Deux started when I was some 15 years old. I remember being somewhat infatuated by it, but my love towards it grew slowly. Folie wasn't as flashy as Infinity On High, the songs on it were slower pace, more orchestral and less - well - Fall Out Boy. But over listening, my love grew and became the type of love that never really seems to leave. It doesn't consume me or take me down, it is there when I need it and I will forever appreciate it for that. Now that I think about it, my relationship with Folie is older than the majority of my friendships..

In hindsight, Folie was a breaking point for the band. It wasn't well received and it marked the ending of Fall Out Boy as the 00's knew them. Folie laid the groundwork for later Fall Out Boy albums. After this one, Fall Out Boy was no longer afraid of making a record that didn't sound like "them". Folie solidified Patrick's capabilities as a songwriter and really showed the best of Pete's cynical lyricism.

I don't believe I'm the only Fall Out Boy fan to call this album their favorite of the bunch - although the absolute chokehold So Much (For) Stardust had on me last year makes me rethink my rankings. I will get back to this in another 10 years... Over the years, I have made several top 10 or top 5 album lists on my phones and diaries, and Folie always seems to find it's way in there, sometimes as n. 1, sometimes as 3. But it has yet to fall out of the top 3.

To me, Folie tells a story about the complexities of relationships as an adult, the downsides of fame, addiction and mental health. Folie describes the feeling of taking a look around yourself and not really liking anyone in your life, especially yourself. Folie is written from a time of a crazy transition, to people who are going through crazy transitions in their own lives. Ironically, for me, this album has often been the only constant in my life. The more life experience I get, the more I understand the issues it portrays, and the more I wish to never experience the rest of them.

I have always loved Folie à Deux and most likely always will. Still after over 10 years, this is the album I put on when I just want to chill and close my eyes for 50 minutes. If I have to pick out albums to listen to while travelling, Folie à Deux will always be one. I will never turn it down, and never skip a song on it.

For better and for worse, Folie à Deux has made me into the person I am today. Obnoxious and dramatic? Prone to self-destruction and grandiosity? Depends on how you read the album ; -- )

Question: How sick would I need to be to find this post and not comment? So I have the flu, fever -still101/102-and miserable, sore throat and basically communicating with my third finger for any fool who knocks on my door and comes in before I can tell them to f&ck off.

Since we are all talking about SH’s 🍆……I’ll add a few thoughts, a lot of nonsense and a cool drink of water to slake our thirst during this drought

So. I was thinking about the posts regarding SH’s supposed inability to fill out the 🍍 🦜🩲 he wore filming MIK2. Bitch please. It’s called Acting. He was trying to inject a little humour for his show. A little context. Many actors use a prosthetic 🍆when filming. Alexander Skarsgard in the series Big Little Lies, big prosthetic 🍆, yet funnily enough he went all au natural full frontal 🍆 for an episode of True Blood. And…In all fairness the prosthetic used in BLL was quite large, and the True Blood episode was filmed in the snow. Read cold. I believe shrinkage is a real thing. Theo James in an episode of White Lotus used a prosthetic 🍆. A really long one. And of course there are many others. It is widely assumed that actor/comedian Pete Davidson has a substantial 🍆 based on the amount of beautiful girls he dates. Don’t quote me but I believe he admitted his 🍆was average. However, due to lack of photographic and investigative reporting to confirm or deny the 🍆he remains what the kids call “an urban legend”. Last bit is more of a fun fact than the professional investigative reporting that will follow.

So. SH. And SH’s 🍆 shown both in and out of Outlander. In no particular order.

For all the haters who made the rounds with 🎯👊🫢👀 and what I assume they thought were witty or stinging comments about SH’s🍆being rather small in his 🍍🦜🩲smuggler in an episode of MIK2. For the record that was one of the loosest fitting pair of swim trunks. So sorry not sorry. No shame in SH’s game.

I really should save this exhibit for the end, but I really don’t want to. Trust me ladies, the frame where SH is frolicking in the mud pond is something that takes a wee bit longer than the other frames to appreciate, but again, trust me and take your time. It’s all there. I’m not a lawyer but the evidence 🍆speaks for itself. No shame in SH’s game.

Exhibit B Haters vs SH’s 🍆

Spend a minute or so and watch the frame where SH is on the beach, just a wholesome attractive guy, fully dressed, skipping stones. In this case the picture really is worth a couple of thousand words. Seriously. Kudos to the genius that slowed down the clip. Clearly SH would fill out a properly fitted🍆 🦜🩲every day of the week and twice on Sunday if he can look so hot in a loose fitting pair of chinos. Case closed.😉or at least it should be.

Exhibit C The cold water 🍆test.

And I mean really, really cold water test. How did no one in editing catch those few seconds where SH literally lets go au national, spreading his arms as he joyfully runs into the ice cold water off the coast of Scotland filming MIK 🍆swinging clearly 👀 for all to see. (Once the clip is enlarged 🥸 and slowed down). Editor either fell asleep for 3 seconds or decided to leave the ever popular in Outlander land, Easter egg as a treat for the most ardent of fans. And wasn’t SH such a good sport to do this after he lost that bet with GMT who for context was wearing a coat with a couple of plaids wrapped around his shoulders for warmth. Accidental or brilliant editing? How many time’s would you say that particular clip has been viewed? Again the🍆 speaks for itself.

So the Outlander clips where SH and CB as JF and CF in bed provide a little room for discussion. The season 3 reunited in bed scene looks pretty authentic to me. The season 5 happy birthday in bed scene when JF actually says his 🍆 still stands up at 50 was part of the script. The scene was pretty hot and heavy so not sure a stand in 🍆was used. Or needed. But it’s possible.

Exhibit E Haters vs Incriminating photos involving SH’s 🍆

Sometimes you need to pick your battles. Some clearly see 🍆, while others will always say it’s just the angle, shadows and shade. No minds will be changed on either side. Ever.

And finally…Exhibits not included in this particular montage, and there are many, when SH sidles up to CB or CB sidles up to SH.

Now I grew up with sisters but with lots of male cousins, 5 male next door neighbours etc. -by the time I was 13, I realized why some boys always held their books or binders in their 🍆 areas. I was also told repeatedly that sometimes a 🍆has a mind of its own and you just can’t control it. I believe there’s a Seinfeld episode about this very topic. So sometimes it’s easy to tell if a man is attracted to a woman and sometimes it’s not. CB is a beautiful woman, with a beautiful body- she was a VS model ffs so it’s not surprising a man’s🍆 can go rogue. And there are probably a few men who don’t react to CB in a slinky purple long dress or a short grey dress. But SH has been photographed on more than one occasion with a bit of 🍆evidence he’s into her. What the actual fuck any of this has to do with SH 🍆 I have no idea. For those that have read to this point I’m sorry, you just spent 10 minutes of your life you’ll never get back. For those who are offended or disgusted that a group of grown ass amazing women of all ages can appreciate SH’s 🍆all I can say is lighten up. It’s good clean fun. Men do exactly the same thing, swimsuit issues of a certain magazine come to mind. It’s not a discussion that would prompt Mensa to start handing out memberships but that’s not the point. And if you’re thinking of sending me a nasty Dm telling me I’m objectifying SH, don’t try me. SH is a willing participant here. If you need any proof, remember our shirtless selfie posting Ginger Jesus has the final say on his show MIK. Maybe he honestly missed the born free moment, but the mud bath and his 🍍trunks let’s just say that SH is the master of his 🍆 and doesn’t care, well he cares a bit who knows about it.
