Hi! I've read a couple of your fics and guidelines for requesting and I'd like to give it a go. Can I get a Tech x reader who's a friend of Phee (canon divergence where He lives) where he falls in love with reader and spends time relaxing on Pabu. Hope you have a wonderful day/night/whatever time it is for you! 😁
Falling Swiftly
Tech x Reader
Summary- Being a friend of Phee's, you meet The Bad Batch. Tech catches your eye, and you eventually get to live out your dream with him on Pabu.
A/N- *slowly slides in*.....So its been almost three months since I've posted.... SORRY! Better late then never? Either way, it's here now!! I hope you enjoy, TYSM for requesting!!! I went a little crazy at the beginning, sad to happy is MY FAV! The timeline is slightly exaggerated.
Word Count- 1,622
Tech. CT-9902. Brown Eyes.
You had first heard of the name when your friend Phee had sent you a Holo message. One that explained she ran into a group called 'The Bad Batch,' that they would be returning to the island with her.
You were ecstatic that your long-distance friend would be returning to Pabu. It had been weeks since you had seen her, you needed to catch up.
She always told you about the trifling adventures she went on, she was the thrill seeker of the friendship. You were content living vicariously through her.
Though, her bringing in a new 'batch' of people? Mild concern flowed through you, but you trusted Phee's judgement. Even if she had barely escaped death many times.... Okay, maybe you didn't trust her completely.
When word spread through the island that a ship was inbound, you knew it was her. Pabu didn't get many visitors.
You eagerly awaited her at the top of the island, a safe distance from the landing pad. You were practically bouncing on your heels with excitement.
"Phee!" You exclaimed as soon as you saw her exit the ship. She laughed and walked over with open arms.
A warm hug was exchanged, but cut short as the rest of 'The Bad Batch' walked down the ramp.
A small girl and three men, who vaguely resembled clones, appeared.
Your eyes immediately landed on the quirky looking man. He wore glasses, shaded yellow, and had his head down to look at his Holo pad. He somehow managed to not trip or run into anyone. This slightly impressed you.
"This is Pabu. My home away from home!" She announced to the group.
"And this, is my dear friend." She shared your name to the group while you awkwardly waved.
The tension was eased as soon as the young girl, ran up to you.
"That's such a pretty name, I'm Omega!" She radiated energy, her kindness was contagious. "Thank you. It's really nice to meet you, Omega."
Pleasantries were cut short as Phee continued her tour. You trailed along with them, mostly keeping quiet.
You always noticed how people tuned you out, almost forgetting you were there. It was something you were used to, so why change? You were talkative to the people you were comfortable with, wasn't that enough?
Somehow you didn't feel that way with, who you learnt was, Tech. Sure, his eyes were glued to his pad most of the time- but the few days you spent with him felt different.
When traveling around the island with everyone, Tech didn't let you trail behind. He always kept up with your pace. Only a few words were exchanged alone, but he always made you feel... human. He didn't let you be forgotten.
It shocked you when he knocked on your door, asking to go on a walk. You could faintly hear Omega and Wrecker snickering behind a bush.
Fighting your surprise, you accepted.
From there, the two of you spent hours upon hours together.
The smile on your face would only grown when he started ranting about his current interest. His vast knowledge amused you.
When he recounted tales of him and "The Bad Batch's" adventures, you felt like you were really there. Not to mention some of the recordings he had showed you.
One night, the two of you had found yourselves by the sand. The sound of the water splashing up made you sleepy.
With your arms crossed under your head, you laid flat. Tech, who was next to you, sat bent over. Of course- his Holo pad was between his hands.
"Did you know some beaches glow?" He started, eyes still down.
"Hmm? Really?" You asked, shifting your attention to him.
"Well-" He pushed his goggles up. "They are not technically glowing. The bright light is caused by ostracod crustaceans, which are bioluminescent organisms."
You closed your eyes, listening to him rant on about different sea life that illuminated light.
Your smile soon dropped, sadness overtaking you. A wave of emotions hit, you remembered all too well that he was leaving in the morning... You understood he had to save his old friend, Crosshair. Though, it didn't hurt any less.
Desperately, you tried to conceal your pain. Only a sniffle escaped.
Tech, oh so observant, Tech. "What is wrong?" He set his Holo pad down, eyes locked on you.
He cared about you so much... You squeezed your eyes shut and shuffled to a sit. You could barely respond, your tears overtaking you. "You're leaving..." At that, you shoved your face in your hands.
You didn't notice that Tech had moved closer until his hands gently pulled at your wrist. "I'll be back." He insisted, trying to see your face.
"Tech, I'm worried for you. What if something happens?" You stared at him, an argumentative tone present.
With an unintentional scoff, he spoke. "I have been on many improbable missions. If I thought this one was impossible, I wouldn't be going."
You sat there, wrist still in his grasp. "You don't understand.." Your eyes filled again.
It's true Tech was not one for emotions, or picking up on tension. It was difficulty for him to process others feelings.
"I know. Please... Help me understand."
You just sobbed, he pulled you tight against his chest. You could feel his heart beating, it was fast like yours.
He kissed the top of your head, at a loss for words. Eventually, a hand fell down to rest on your back. He slightly rubbed it every so often.
That was all you remembered of that night. It had been days after, no one knew when they would be coming back. If they were coming back. It was a no contact mission, the risk was too high.
Your mind was filled with thought of him. Sure, he was gone, but he seemed so vivid in your memory.
He was genuine. You knew he wasn't lying when he pushed your hair back and complimented your eyes.
You knew he wasn't lying when he held your hand softly and told you how he yearned to stay with you.
You knew he wasn't lying when the two of you picked flowers and promised a future together.
Who knew that future would be at such a high stake? Was your Tech going to come back alive?
It had been a painful two weeks. Each day without him was a stab to your heart.
What had stressed your out most, was seeing their ship fly in... It was about to be reality. Was he alive? Dead?
You anxiously shifted on your heels at the top of the island, not unlike the first day you met Tech.
Hunter was the first off the ship, next was the man you assumed to be Crosshair.
"Hunter! Is he-" You would later feel bad for not welcoming Hunter back as well, but he'd understand.
Your question was answered as soon as you saw him pace out the ship. For once in his life, he wasn't holding his Holo Pad.
As you would later learn from Hunter, Tech had never been this eager to land the ship...
"Tech!" You ran up, meeting him. A slight jump had you wrapping your arms around his neck. His own hands joining on your lower back.
All you could do was bury your face in his neck and whisper thanks to the Maker.
Your arms only relaxed when you felt kisses on the top of your head. "Oh, Tech. I missed you more than words can describe." You said, pulling slightly away to look into his eyes.
"I think I understand." He said looking down at you. Your eyebrows furrowed slightly, confused. Then it hit you- the beach.
With a sob, your grip tightened again as you held him.
A slight pang hit your chest when remembering that moment, it quickly went away. You were completely content with Tech, living out your days on Pabu.
The memory did, however, make you want to see your husband. Getting up from your chair in the kitchen, you headed out to your somewhat of a shed. Tech mostly worked in there, tools and projects that helped Pabu.
You gave a quick knock on the wooden door to let him know you were there, but you assumed he already knew by him calling you name.
A mischievous grin came across your face when you realized he had taken his sleeved shirt off and tied it around his waist. The Pabu heat was no joke in the summer.
"What ya working on?" You queried, leaning over him. Your chin rested on his sweaty shoulder.
"Experimenting on an echolocation device to persuade fish towards the fishermen's ships." He explained briefly for you, head still down working at a handheld device.
When you didn't move nor respond, he shuffled to look at you. "Did something happen?"
His eyes absentmindedly scanned you for any physical injury. Deep down, Tech was still a soldier.
"No, just thinking about you." You smiled at him, just wanting to spend time with him.
He understood well enough and moved to pull a chair up by the table. "Here, you can watch." His words seemed off putting, but you knew that's just how he was. That it was his way of showing he cared and also wanted your presence.
So, you sat and listened to him rant about the technological side of his piece, and that the last step was to make it bolt to the base of the fishing boats.
You couldn't offer many ideas or solutions, but Tech being able to talk out the project helped him tweak his wires. He always worked better with you next to him...
A/N- Thank you so much for reading! This is BARELY proof read, sorry! I just wanted to get something out for you guys!!! Please let me know of any constructive criticism!

There has been confusion of why Aya didn't just go to the concert without Koga since she was right there at the gate anyway...
Let the gods cook! Those tickets and Koga came together as an immediate answer to her shrine prayers. Aya has never had anyone like this in her life before and it has to feel a step beyond just being serendipitous to her. "I have a hunch that my wishes will come true."
She been used to loving her music alone and now she has confidence to loudly be herself about music because of Koga. It's not in her nature to be quiet or hide (gyaru anyone?) so that must have been awful getting shot down about music like when she tried to share with her other friends. "I'll be able to go with a friend."
Koga is cool and charming. She not only seems to accept Aya she's her Oshi too. Koga plays music, works at the record store, been to festivals since she was a kid... Aya's been alone on the outside looking in for so long until meeting her. Koga protected her. "That means we'll have to go together next time." Kogo seals this feeling with a promise several times before and after the shrine visit. Bzzzt
Aya is excited about the concert, but she's starting to admit to herself that the other part of it is Koga. She's excited it's with Koga specifically. The person who has put her head in the clouds. "For me, today is the day I've been longing for."
"...a slightly special friend." (cough)
Aya immediately doesn't give a fuck about the concert anymore when it's clear Koga is a no-show. "It's a band you like, no?" "Not really."
Chizuru seems to have figured it out. Late, but better than never. She was jealous she saw Aya seemingly speedrunning a special interest with Koga out of the blue (tbf, she and Aya did bond over interests so she knows how it feels) but she's long been her love confidant and she's getting those kind of vibes from her about this now.
It's the person she likes. And for all the faults of their friendship Chizuru does know Aya well when it comes to her sharing about that kind of thing.
She knows she's not interchangeable for this particular promise confession conversation.
Koga doesn't feel there is any way for herself to fit in Aya's life for whatever reason. Like it's not fair to Aya that she has to settle for her. So she thinks swapping in Chizuru for herself is "solving" a few things: restoring a friendship she thinks she's wrecked, giving Aya a new way to music that doesn't include herself, and returning to her own numb isolation. She's wrong on all counts.
Koga's not a one hit wonder Aya can forget. The shrine gods are going to come through with the perfect concert when Koga opens up and Aya's loudness is already breaking in.

I was tagged by @santacoppelia - thank you! 🥺🧡
1. were you named after anyone? Michael Jordan, ha ha. No, really, my mom's a huge fan. She's followed his career ever since his UNC days. I love telling people that's how I got my name. For the record, although I have an obligatory fondness for my hometown team and a nostalgic love for the Bulls in their Jordan Era, I'm currently a Bucks fan.
2. when was the last time you cried? It's really difficult for me to cry. It's such a relief at times, tho. I cried a few weeks ago, when I realized my special needs dog was having some epilepsy-related issues. I've mostly accepted that I'll probably never see him with a grey muzzle, but I really hope we can share more time together. There are still so many things I want to show him.
3. do you have kids? Nope. Sorta did, once, but I don't really talk about that much. It was a good experience, and I still love/think about her. But my kids are all the critter variety these days ;) I enjoy hanging out with my friends' kids, but they're all growing up too quickly :/ What even is time
4. what sports do you play/have you played? I never really played anything professionally, but I liked soccer, basketball, and running when I was younger. I got into boxing and Muay Thai when I was a little older, and also did a lot of hiking. Unfortunately I'm crippled, so I'm limited in what I can/should do. I try to go on lots of walks with my pup and swim whenever I can. Sometimes I still wrap my hands and hit the bag, which is fun.
5. do you use sarcasm? No, never. (/s obvs)
6. what's the first thing you notice about people? The way they treat other people - especially the most vulnerable - and animals. Physically, eyes and smile. I'm more impressed by people who can be genuinely kind without ulterior motivation.
7. what's your eye color? Hazel.
8. scary movies or happy endings? Depends on my mood! In terms of scary films, gore feels lazy and boring to me. I need a film to get inside my head in order to be scary. But I'm a sucker for happy endings too, which is a lot of projection on my part, ha ha.
9. any talents? Err. Uh. Writing, I guess? Remembering a lot of random info? Friends are consistently surprised that I'll remember so many little details, especially if it's like ... me surprising them with something they mentioned liking at some point. Funny enough, I'll frequently forget why I walked into a room these days, but I'm glad some parts of my memory still excel! I'm also told that I'm extremely patient, if that counts as a talent.
10. where were you born? Charlotte, NC.
11. what are your hobbies? Writing, reading, watching movies and television shows (mostly with the BFF), random crafts, DIY home improvement stuff (I painted my entire house despite my health worsening over the years and I'm very proud of that), canine behavior/training, and playing video games. I don't have as much time for games, but I still enjoy it. Started a new game of Red Dead Redemption 2 this winter, and I've been spending hours just roaming the land with my horse.
12. do you have any pets? Ha, yes! I do a lot of animal rescue and have some life goals related to that, so hopefully I'll always be surrounded by critters. My beloved dog (Skippyjon) passed away in 2022 (old age and CHF). I had a cockatiel for 21 years - a birthday present when I turned 8. We basically grew up together, and the house is still way too quiet without him. I had other dogs (Smokey and Locke), and a lot of fish. In college, I had an "illegal" hamster, Kai (Kaizoku). He was fat and wonderful. I chose him because he squeezed past his siblings, sat in their food dish, and started shoving food in his mouth. King behavior tbh. I had a rat named Stevie in my late 20s. Currently, I have a deaf special needs dog (Oscar aka Ozzy), a cat that I hand-raised because she was found abandoned shortly after birth (Swayze), and a rabbit (Shasta aka Bad Bunny). At some point, I decided that all my rabbits would be named after soda brands, ha.
13. how tall are you? About 5'10".
14. favorite subject in school? Literature, Spanish, Philosophy, sometimes History, Classical Studies, Art. Anything that wasn't math, because I always struggled with that.
15. dream job? If I could make a living off of writing and spend a lot of my time doing animal rescue, I'd be content. Even if I was wealthy, I'd ultimately pursue a simple, cozy life without a lot of fanfare. I'd love to have more money to invest in animal rescue and local community welfare (kids should always have basic necessities imo). Maybe someday ...
Tagging anyone who feels like doing this! Feel free to reblog or tag me if you wanna let me know that you did it. Thanks, this was fun :3

The rebellion finding out about Catra’s 9 lives and completely freaking out while Catra just sits there confused as to why they all seem to care so much?
It wasn't really a surprise when the Best Friend Squad was late to anything. Catra had, surprisingly, done wonders for their punctuality, but even her talents were limited. Still.... this was a little excessive.
"Juliet just said they were going to Thaymor to check on something," Spinnerella said, looking around at the others. "They should be back by now."
"Maybe they got distracted by a cute butterfly." Mermista was checking her nails as she spoke. "I'm sure they're fine."
"It's been thirty minutes-"
A burst of sparkles drew their attention to the door, immediately followed by an annoyed voice.
"Bow stop - poking - for fuck's sake I'm fine-"
"How?!"
Adora was clinging to Catra's arm while Bow did his best to look her over even as she slapped him away. Glimmer looked torn between frustration and shaken concern.
"Everything okay...?" Netossa asked slowly, looking between the four of them.
"Catra died!" Bow burst out before anyone could stop him. Adora's grip on Catra's arm tightened. She groaned.
"Can you not-"
"I'm sorry, what?" Frosta asked immediately.
"Looks pretty alive to me," Mermista added.
"What do you mean died?!" Scorpia yelled, jolting out of her own seat.
"Are you sure she didn't just get knocked out?" Entrapta asked.
"Everybody shut up!" Catra somehow managed to raise her voice above the chaos, loud enough to be heard. "My head hurts and none of you are helping!"
"Oh, your head hurts?" Glimmer asked. "Really? I can't imagine why, you only cracked your skull open-"
"Is being dramatic a requirement to be a princess?"
Bow was trying to check Catra's head now, while Scorpia took over checking the rest of her. "Seriously guys, can we not? It's not exactly the first time-"
"What?!" Catra winced as everyone - including Adora - yelled at the same time.
"How-"
"What do you mean-"
"You've died before?!"
"When?!"
Catra covered her face with her free hand, letting out a long sigh. "Can I sit please?" she asked pointedly, waving Bow and Scorpia off. "Coming back to life is hard work."
Adora dragged Catra over to a chair, sitting and pulling her into her lap. "Adora-" The blonde just held on tight. Catra blew out a breath. "Fine. Yes. I've died."
"How many times?"
"Uh... Well I thought nine, but now I'm not-"
"Nine times?!"
"That's real?!"
Catra waited for everyone to calm down again. "Yes. It's real. It's part of the whole, ya know-" She waved a hand at her ears. "My people's magic. I didn't understand it until I got my hands on Shadow Weaver's records and started looking into things."
"You never told me about that," Adora said in a small voice, speaking for the first time. Catra's shoulders hunched, expression guilty.
"I didn't think it mattered."
"How could this not matter?"
"Because I thought Horde Prime burned my last life."
Everyone went very quiet. No one liked talking about Prime, but of them all, Catra did it the very least. "When I... on his ship..." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I thought I just got lucky that you managed to... heal me. But today... I don't know, it felt the same as all the other times. I guess She-Ra... reset things? Wasn't really expecting it, though."
A long moment of silence followed. "Okay," Mermista said slowly. "Putting literally all of that aside for a minute, you didn't think dying nine times was something to mention?"
"Didn't want to give you any ideas, obviously. What if you tried to test it?"
Given the look on Adora's face, no one wanted to make a joke about that.
"That's... messed up. I mean, dying that many times has to mess you up a little," Netossa said. "How old are you, again?"
Catra burrowed into Adora's arms a little, not answering.
"I think we can all agree that today's meeting is canceled," Glimmer said tiredly. "I'm going to call my aunt. Maybe someone in Mystacor knows something about this and can help us figure out if Catra actually has nine lives... again."
"Eight now, technically."
Adora held her a little tighter.

Cassandra x Maiden----Anonymity Ch.5 (NSFW!)
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
'Cassandra's favorite', the other maids call you.
You can't tell if they mean it as a good or a bad thing. Hell, you can't even tell which of the two it really is.
Being her 'favorite' does not make you immune to harm in any way; bruises litter your shoulders and sides from when she grabs you too forcefully and cuts from her nails sting at your neck and stomach, renewed each time she comes to take a kiss.
None of that existed back when you were something of zero interest to her. On the other hand, she's told you several times you're 'a thing of beauty' --her thing of beauty-- and she won't let anything ruin a natural piece of art.
If you know anything about Cassandra, it is that she takes art very seriously. Your interpretation of the word greatly varies from hers, you're sure, but it doesn't change the fact she won't easily raise a sickle on you.
Cassandra won't break you. She won't let Daniela do so, either. Bela doesn't even care to hurt you. It means you're safe for now...
Unless Lady Dimitrescu decides you're best taken away from her daughter. Permanently. You don't dare meet her eyes, but you can feel them on you, scrutinizing, every night at dinner.
You're pretty sure she knows.
The thought sits heavy in your mind while you're cleaning bloodied steps off a corridor at three in the small hours of the morning, along with another maid. Adella is a quiet and hardworking one; the two of you make a good team and you know you'll be done in record time.
But it only takes a single moment for everything to go wrong.
Adella is hastily walking back to you with a bucket of fresh water in hand when you hear a different set of steps approach from the side. You make to warn her, but it's already too late.
The collision happens at the turn where the two passageways meet. As soon as you see black robes dripping wet you pray to whichever God will listen for mercy.
Because Cassandra has not been in a good mood all night and she is not the understanding type regardless.
Adella gasps and shakingly backs away, a waterfall of apologies spilling from her lips. Cassandra rolls her neck and draws her sickle, advancing on her slowly. She looks terrifying.
"Don't move now." she orders.
And you just- can't watch this. You don't know why, but the realization you cannot hits you like a speeding truck. You can't stand there while the the woman you frequently kiss cuts away at a girl you know is as good and compassionate as a human under your circumstances can possibly get.
You react.
Before you can even think how impossibly stupid you're being, you drop the mop in your hands and dash forward, crashing into Cassandra's form. Your right arm wraps around her waist and your left grips at her wrist like a vice. Your heart is pounding. You don't even know what you're saying;
"Cassandra, no! Please. Don't." Cold and rigid as she is, it may as well be a statue you're holding. "Cassandra, stop. Please." Once impulse dies down, you realize you've just signed your death wish for two seconds of playing hero.
And you thought you were smarter than that. Ha. But maybe, just maybe, part of you wants to die, so long as it's quick and painless.
With Cassandra, though, you doubt it. Especially with how lethal she sounds when she says:
"You. Disappear." You hear, rather than see, Adella scurrying off for her life. "As for you..."
You only register a blur, nausea, cold nails piercing at your neck, over already existing marks. You are shoved into the nearest wall so powerfully you can't breathe for all of ten seconds. It's a wonder you don't hear any cracks from within your body.
Cassandra is on you, her fingers harsh on your chin and breath chilly on your lips. "Good pets don't bark against their own masters. What made you so bold, hm?"
You don't answer, too busy summoning your mental strength for what comes next. The way her eyes and the lines of her pretty face have hardened, she looks nothing like the flirty girl who comes to steal kisses from you at random times during the night.
"Maybe I've been too nice to you. The first time you call my name and it's for some other maid?"
She looks like she wants to let out a bitter laugh, break something and slice you into stripes simultaneously. And then you realize; Cassandra is jealous.
It doesn't get any worse than that.
"Maybe I should make sure you never say anything again." The corner of her lips curls up in dark amusement as she talks. "You don't talk much, anyway."
Well. She did say she wouldn't let anyone ruin your looks. Never promised anything about what's on the inside.
You're shaking, even if her grasp doesn't leave much room to do so. Your brain is restlessly trying to come up with something to get you out of this mess-
"I'm of way more use to you with my tongue intact." you somehow manage to speak without stuttering. It makes you wonder where the hell this confidence came from.
Cassandra stills for a moment. Her grip eases the slightest amount, probably from surprise.
You wonder what the hell you're even doing, yourself, when you bring your hands to her sides and lean in, to the curve of her nice jawline. You've never kissed her neck before, but you remember from the times you've given her a massage that she's very sensitive around it.
Cautiously, you press your mouth to the soft spot under her ear.
She smells so good and her skin feels so smooth you're not exactly forcing yourself to kiss her. If you're going to be mutilated anyway, the part of you that must be severely messed up muses, you may as well take some pleasure for yourself beforehand. Who knows, it may change her mind along the way.
So you lick her there and suck over her faint pulse. You don't get any stimuli from her, at first.
Until her hand trails from your shoulder to your nape, urging you harder against her. It's the green light to keep going.
You put all your skill into it as you lavish her neck and collarbones with open-mouthed kisses. She's loose and moaning low in her throat now.
You can't tell why, but the sound echoes right though your adrenaline-induced system, tickles down your spinal cord to pool low in your stomach. You either had a kink for danger you never knew of, or you developed one in the castle.
Whatever the case, your fingers are working on the buttons of her outfit and she doesn't seem like stopping you has even crossed her mind.
When the robes barely hang onto her shoulders, Cassandra maneuvers you to the closest room, shuts the door and presses you against it. Hard. Your lips slide together hungrily. You taste wine on her tongue.
At this point, your hands are the only thing supporting her outfit on her. She looks too fucking sexy for words like this, half-undressed, lipstick smeared, so turned on and ready for you. But you also want to see more of her, so you let the black fabric drop.
She's getting impatient, though. Being more vocal, tugging your hand to the apex of her legs.
"Cassandra." you moan when you push the midnight lace of her panties aside and touch her. She's so wet.
Her mouth falls open in a soundless gasp, brows drawn softly. "Oh, you're lucky I like my name on your lips." she says, breathless.
You did start this trying to prove to her how useful your tongue can be attached to your body, however... so it's only fair that's how you finish it.
Finish her.
Cassandra looks dazed and confused when you kneel in front of her, but it's quickly replaced with a broken moan when you take her into your mouth. You revel in every single gasp you coax out of her, every minuscule shake of her perfect thighs.
She bites into her own hand when she reaches her peak, nails leaving four parallel marks on the wall.
You're gentlewomanly enough to pull her outfit up for her while she's coming down from her high. Your gaze takes its sweet time admiring the contours of her chest as you button it closed. She really is the most attractive girl you've ever seen, if you somehow don't take into consideration her body count.
"Good?" you ask when she opens her pretty eyes to look at you.
"It's not cute to be smug, plaything." Cassandra makes a soft grimace at you, though you can see the lazy, satisfied smile tugging at the corner of her lip. "But. I suppose your tongue has its uses to me, after all."
You gently push off the door to let her exit at her leisure. The movement makes you realize you won't really be able to move tomorrow, with how sore you already are.
To your surprise, Cassandra takes a moment longer in the room.
She turns back to you and raises her hands to your torso, then carefully adjusts your wrinkled shirt. Her long fingers smooth over the imperfections she caused...
And you don't know why after everything the two of you just did, it's this that feels the most intimate.
The same digits brush over your throat as she pulls away.
By the time your mind starts working right again, Cassandra is already gone. Absently, you trace over the weeping scratches on your neck.
-
-
Later, at the main hall of the castle...
"Oh, boo, look who's late again." Daniela rolls her eyes at Cassandra's fashionably delayed arrival.
"Surprise, surprise." Bela smirks, casually leaned against the side of the fireplace.
"Are you two done being insufferable or should I come by later?" Cassandra asks.
"And scar our ears and minds with another round of your 'oh's and 'ah's, sister? I think not." Daniela comments.
Bela raises an eyebrow in amusement. "Had a nice time?"
"You two have very active imaginations, you know? Tells a lot about you." Cassandra chuckles. "She was just giving me a massage. But do go on. Be thirsty. I can wait."
Daniela and Bela share a look, thrown off their game by the nonchalance.
Cassandra hides a smirk under her hood and steps out first, into the peerless dark.

Persephone's Symphony | Day One | Persephone
Hey lovelies— so as per my usual shenanigans I've decided this will have no schedule and that I will play god to my own creation because what is life without some chaos? The pros are you might not have to wait a week between updates, the cons are you might have to wait a week between updates. In all seriousness, please enjoy my lovelies!
Synopsis: In which he is the bad one— the dangerous one, the clunky one, the one who only knows how to break things— and she is the good one— the fragile one, the soft one, the one who knows how to put things back together— and he has to keep her alive long enough for anyone else— anyone who can do more than kill— to save her like she deserves to be saved— to save her from him. There are no pomegranates, no three headed dogs, and no requirement to stay— that is, if they don’t count an assassin on the loose out for her neck. In that case, three days in a safe house doesn’t feel like a long time— just long enough for Persephone and Hades to remember why opposites attract.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Female!Reader (third person)
Warnings: Mentions of death, at times semi-graphic, eventual smut
Word count: 3.1k

Master List
She can’t hear what the man in the truck says to him— the walls of this house are surprisingly thick. She supposes that’s a good thing. It means she will be able to go about her days normally while cooped up here. Well, as normal as possible. She doubts she’ll be able to get away with her three am rom-com marathons and ice-cream binges. She doubts she’ll get away with screaming in her sleep— and in the shower and at the breakfast table and when doing any, little thing that makes her remember that her life is one, constant nightmare.
It’s only three days— all she has to do is stay awake for three days.
While his head— her body guard’s head— is turned she leans against the kitchen sink, inching back the white lace curtain for what feels like the hundredth time. It’s like a little game at this point. She peeks at him, his eyes snap to hers, and she squeals and drops the curtain. Thank god the walls are thick. It’s almost unnerving how tuned he is to every little movement— not almost, it is unnerving but she supposes that is what makes him a good fit for this job. A good fit for keeping her alive. Like she has been doing for months now, she ignores the way her chest squeezes painfully.
Through the little strip of window that she allows for herself, she traces over his features one last time. Cropped black hair, a square jaw, at least two days worth of stubble. He looks like a bodyguard— rough, dangerous, manly— and that’s before taking into account the sheer size of the man. She is on her tiptoes, one hand pushing against the stainless steel below her for dear life, and she still has to crane her neck to properly see his face. She refuses to let her eyes wander any further than that— she had already glimpsed at the rest of him when he had made the short walk from the truck to the house. She already knows he’s massive.
His eyebrow twitches and she drops the curtain— she may not be as fast as he is but she’s a quick learner. Had she held the curtain open longer she is sure his eyes would have flicked to hers again. Those are the rules of the game, after all. She hears a muted thumping and the door handle jiggle from across the room, spinning towards the faded farmhouse door. She watches as the door handle turns, her throat tight, wondering where all the air in the room went— it was there a second ago.
The door pushes open and she jumps away from the sink, only just realizing what it’ll look like if he comes inside to her still hunched over the window. Of course, he’s already seen her but that’s beside the point. Part of the game is not talking about the game. A boot comes into view— the black, military grade kind— and it hits her like a punch to the gut that this is real— there really is someone out there trying to kill her. Now she really can’t breath. She can only force her lungs to expand to draw in some oxygen before her bodyguard finds her sprawled in an unconscious heap on the ground.
The boot is quickly followed by a leg, which is then, by default, followed by a torso and a head. A head that turns and watches her freeze, red handed like a bandit, in the middle of the kitchen. Gods, she should have just kept leaning against the sink— this is worse! Her hands are up and everything, shot out in front of her like she’s about to jump him or something. Yes, her— the girl currently in a hoodie that pools around her legs, displaying her knobby knees and bad posture— about to jump him— the man who had to practically duck to get through the doorway. She could laugh. In fact, she almost wishes he would laugh at her. She wishes he would do anything but look at her with that blank expression and those ice blue eyes.
“Uhm—” she blinks, trying to think of something to say other than holy shit you’re a giant— which, for the record, is what she wants to say— “hi?”
Are you serious, y/n?
He tilts his head at her and she almost cries. Not the same fear ridden, heartbroken, panicky cries of late. More so the awkward, why the fuck would you say that to the man charged with keeping you alive brand of cries. The normal kind. She drops her hands to her sides, slipping them into the pouch of her hoodie and tangling her fingers together. She can only allow herself to display one embarrassing thing at a time.
The man stays silent for a moment, each second of which makes her cheeks flame hotter and hotter, before finally opening his mouth. “Hi.”
Her chest deflates— some of the heat subsiding. He copied her. Whether purposefully or mockingly it alleviates some of the stupidity she’s feeling. She takes a few steps backwards, her bare feet pittering rather loudly over the worn hardwood. Well, that didn’t last long— there’s that embarrassment again.
“I’m y/n,” she squeaks out— gods, is Mickey Mouse in the building? “I guess you already know that though, huh?”
It was a stroke of genius putting her hands in her pocket— at least now he can’t see the way they shake furiously. She has to resist smashing her head against the sink. Nothing about this situation is optimal, to say the very least. Here she is making small talk with a man who could tear her in half. Her eyes drift to where his red henley pulls taut around his biceps— are they bigger than her head?
“James—” her eyes flick back up, face hotter than the sun, both from her blatant staring and the deep gravel of his voice— “but most people call me Bucky.”
Her eyes widen. She doesn’t know why, probably because she’s an idiot or because she isn’t expecting him to say more than three words. He seems like the strong, silent type. Maybe that is just the rom-coms though. Maybe her brain is just mush now.
“Okay,” she all but whispers, backing further into the sink. His piercing eyes have yet to leave her— something which makes her knees knock together and fingers clench. “Which should I call you?”
He tenses, his dark eyebrows pulling together, and she has to swallow the bile that rises in her throat. It’s day one and she’s already offending him. She pulls her lip between her teeth, biting down until the tangy, metallic taste that she has grown too familiar with these past months floods her mouth. She tells herself that she does it to keep from cursing. Lying to herself is another game she likes to play.
The longer he remains quiet, the more she regrets asking the question. His blue eyes are still latched on her, drifting over the space between her eyes and her busted lip, but somehow they also seem miles away. She can’t tell if he’s looking at her— seeing her— or if he’s seeing something else entirely. It isn’t until she pushes off the counter, taking a hesitant step forward, her foot slapping against the wood like it’s trying to embarrass her again, that he blinks. She pulls one of her hands from the puddle that is her hoodie, sliding it over her hair. Can he see the way it shakes?
Probably.
“Nevermind, forget I asked. It was a dumb ques—”
“Bucky,” the word is rushed out, falling over her own stuttered babbling. He slows after that, his face remaining stoic but his cheeks dusting with the slightest hint of pink. “Call me Bucky.”
She doesn’t point it out— she doesn’t have a death wish. Her being here right now, standing across from a literal giant, barefoot and shaking, is proof enough of that. Instead she nods gently, lowering her hand slowly. He’s not going to attack her— he isn’t a wolf— but still she takes the precaution. Better safe than sorry.
“Bucky it is then.”
He nods stiffly and she pretends like it doesn’t make her hands shake harder. She waits for him to speak, eyes drifting over the blue cupboards and the breakfast nook, taking in the applications of the home and trying not to scream. She feels so out of place, not used to the warmth in the room— the lingering smell of yeast and the flowers in the vase on the table. She used to bake all the time. Now she can barely bring herself to microwave frozen dinners. The sun that filters through the crack in the curtains and lands against her cheek feels like pure fire. She spends her days in the dark— she wouldn’t be surprised if she was allergic to the sun itself now. Allergic to all the things she used to enjoy.
The silence is too much— she has to speak to keep her throat from closing. If she doesn’t then it may not open again.
“So—” she draws the word out, her eyes flopping to the floor where her toe scuffs against a particularly worn board— “we just kinda follow each other around then?”
His face doesn’t change, his lips remaining in the same, expressionless line— a master of one trade. “Pretty much. I follow you.”
“And make sure I don’t die.” She fills the rest in— there’s no point not to. He’s definitely seen the pictures.
Finally his expression shifts, his lips pressing together tersely. It’s an answer in it’s own right— he pities her. He shifts his weight between his feet, the floorboards creaking below him. It could just be her but the sound slices through the room— loud and unforgiving— and she can’t stop the way she flinches. He freezes, obviously noticing her reaction. She almost slaps herself. Leave it to her to make an already tense situation worse. Is it going to be this awkward the entire time?
“You’re not going to die.” His voice is softer than his boots, barely reaching her ears as it cuts through the rigid atmosphere.
She doesn’t know what to say— how do she tell her bodyguard that she doesn’t believe him? He’s supposed to be the one saving her life. It feels risky to suggest that he wouldn’t be able to do that. Like telling the universe that she wants to die. She doesn’t want to die. It’s just hard not to think about death when it follows her everywhere she goes. For twenty-four years she was just y/n. Now look at her.
The queen of death.
She doesn’t know what to say so instead she changes the subject.
“Are you hungry?”
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
She makes grilled cheese for lunch. It is nothing special but the smell of the butter alone makes the energy she has to scrape together to make them worth it. She can’t remember the last time she cooked like this— the last time she tasted anything but freezer burnt macaroni and lumpy gravy. A couple times she almost drops the spatula, her fingers not used to having to be so coordinated, but the promise of melted cheddar has her fighting through the tremors. That and the audience of one, standing next to her with his arms crossed like he’s judging her culinary skills rather than looking for snipers.
It’s all in her head. That’s what she tells herself at least.
“You want extra cheese?”
She can feel Bucky’s eyes on the side of her face— is there something on her cheek? “Sure.”
It’s all in her head.
She flips the sandwiches, watching as the fluffy white bread is replaced with a perfect, golden brown toast. Her stomach growls, the sound somehow louder than the sizzling pan in her hand. The scream bubbles in her throat again— fuck. Why must everything she does be so humiliating? Why can’t she just keep it together for three days!
“Bacon?” Cue the voice crack.
“Bacon?” He repeats the word back like he hasn’t the faintest clue what a pig is— like somehow he’s a giant of a man but has never touched a piece of meat in his entire life.
Like it’s the dumbest question he has ever been asked. She swallows— hard— her cheeks pooling with heat again. She’s starting to wonder if it ever even left. If he asks she’ll blame it on the steam rising off the pan or her hoodie or both. But he won’t ask— he won’t speak until he has to. It did not take her long to gather that fact.
“You’ve never had bacon on grilled cheese?” It feels like he’s glaring at her.
It’s all in her damn head.
The floorboards groan underneath Bucky again and instead of flinching this time she tries to imagine what they might be saying. Save me, he’s crushing me! She flicks her eyes down, glancing at those military grade boots and then at her own toes, tiny and feeble compared to the size of his gear. One wrong step and her foot would likely be broken. She isn’t too worried about that though— he seems careful. His movements thus far have been slow and calculated, skirting around her and leaving at least a few feet between them at all times. Maybe that isn’t to keep from stepping on her though— maybe he just doesn’t like her. She wouldn’t blame him.
“You say it like that’s unheard of.” He doesn’t say it angrily but there’s no exuberance in his voice either— just the monotone she’s come to expect. It’s been one hour and she can already see how the next seventy-one are going to play out.
“Where I’m from it is.”
There’s a pause— the sound of butter crackling against the pan and of the steady picking up of rain against the kitchen window as it eats away at the sunshine— and she’s expecting the conversation to drop there. He isn’t there to entertain her, after all. That’s what the TV is for— what Leonardo DiCaprio is for.
But then there’s an answer. “Where are you from?”
The corner of her mouth lifts— an action so foreign she can practically see the dust shedding from her rusty smile— and she turns from the frypan long enough to meet his icy eyes and to throw out an arm, putting the front of her hoodie on display for the stoic man.
“SoCal.”
Her mouth lifts higher when Bucky raises an eyebrow, nodding slowly. He could be mocking her but she chooses to believe he’s interested. She chooses to believe that they are making progress and that she won’t have to spend three days talking to the walls. She turns back to the sandwiches, flipping them for the last time before laying down a few strips of bacon next to them.
She isn’t expecting him to keep going but she also isn’t complaining when his voice tickles her ears again. “Caltech, huh? S’that Pasadena?”
She tries to keep her smile from morphing into a full blown grin— she isn’t sure if her poor lips would be able to handle it. It’s been too long since she last used her mouth this much; both for smiling and talking. “Yes sir— born and raised.”
He hums and she watches from the corner of her eye as he leans to the window, peering out of it for a moment. There’s no one out there— at least she strongly doubts there is. This place is in the middle of nowhere. She hasn’t even heard a car since the truck that dropped Bucky off drove away. It’s supposed to be peaceful. She doesn’t see it. All she sees is the dreadful but necessary silence— at least hopefully that way they’ll hear someone coming.
“How about you? Where are you from—” she flips the bacon, pushing it around the pan, her mouth watering at the thought of the greasy, gooey goodness she’s about to consume— “You mind finding some plates?”
She hears him rummage through the cupboard above his head— well, above her head, in front of his— before two mismatched pieces of dishware appear before her nose. Grabbing them, she lets the corners of her lips tick up just the tiniest bit further.
“Indiana— but spent most of my time in Brooklyn.”
“It shows.” She muses, not turning to see whether or not he appreciates the comment.
It’s true regardless— she can hear some of the mannerisms of New York in his voice. Not many. He hasn’t said enough for her to truly gauge just how strong his accent is. Still it’s there, in the gruffness of his tone, just like she’s sure the SoCal shines through in her. At least it normally does— lately she hasn’t exactly been the picture of sunshine.
She removes the sandwiches from the pan, layering them carefully onto the plates. After staring at them for a moment she settles on the one that she wants, handing Bucky the bigger of the two. It’s only fair— he could probably eat at least four. She watches as the giant gives it a glance, rolling her eyes when he hesitantly lifts it to his lips, taking the smallest of bites. Is he afraid of a sandwich?
“I promise I’m not trying to poison you— I need you to stay alive, remember?”
He only grunts.
She has to turn away when he takes a bigger bite, her eyes refusing to detach themselves from his lips. Unprofessional and inappropriate. The orphan and the bodyguard. She takes a bite of her own sandwich, shoving the thought to the back of her mind and replacing it with the heavenly taste of gooey cheese, melted butter, and greasy bacon. She doesn’t have to dissect the thoughts of her delicious food like she would have to the other ones. Cheese doesn’t require a checklist about whether or not her grief quota is up to code. Clearly it’s not— clearly she’s just sick in the head. She takes another bite.
The two eat in silence for a couple minutes, the tension in the room melting for the first time since she introduced herself. Thank gods for cheese.
After a few more moments Bucky sets his plate down, turning back to the window. At first she thinks she is hearing things— like her mind is now also playing tricks on her as well as making her feel like a terrible person— but then it registers and she has to fight back another inappropriate smile.
“You were right about the bacon.”
Maybe three days won’t be so bad.

LOVEFOOL
Author’s note: HELLO! This is my part for the Valentine’s Day challenge that @1dffchallenges put together. Make sure to keep an eye out for any other pieces published by other authors. Enjoy! And happy Valentine’s weekend! (:
Summary: Harry agrees to go on a blind date set up by his friends in hopes that it will help him move on from an unrequited love.
Word count: 3K
Challenge prompt and dialogue: blind date set up by friends. “I don’t want this to end...”
There’s a first for everything. Harry’s had his fair share of them at the age of twenty-seven. First time on an aeroplane at the tender age of six for a family holiday in Rome. First kiss on his home towns park with someone he deeply cared about. First time in a recording studio. First time going on tour. The first night spent alone in his new and barely furnished home. The first morning he laid eyes on the girl next door. The ugly heartbreak after she got married, certainly felt worse than his first one.
Life is full of firsts, Harry knows that, and he wishes to have been the first to sneak his way into Jane’s heart, all those years ago.
"You love her" it almost sounds like an accusation coming from Jeff, though the last thing he wants is to make Harry feel guilty. The musician doesn't reply, he shrugs, eyes never leaving her no matter how deep into the ocean she seems to be. "Does she know?" Harry shakes his head in denial. "Did you bring her along just so you could tell her?"
"I enjoy writing music with her, that's why she's here," his tone leaves no room for more questions, the manager knows and sighs defeated. Harry stands from his spot on the beach and heads back inside the house, alone.
Is he being that obvious?
He reviews the past few days and wonders where he slipped, nothing rings any bell. Harry completely and conveniently forgets how he doesn't nag her for having a smoke after dinner, instead he just opens the window and stands close to it, or how he's been making her a cuppa everyday at noon. But it was the time when Jane asked him to help her French plait her hair when something clicked in Jeff's brain, the way Harry beamed at such a simple request left no room for questioning. Yet he asked him, because there was that tiny chance of it all being part of the manager's imagination, but when he looked back on it, the little things now made more sense to him and in a way he always knew.
They've been in Port Antonio for two weeks now and everything was going just dandy, Harry was writing more than ever, the first week he had a new song every day, he even polished the old ones and had a tune for his favourites, thanks to Mitch's help. When Jeff Azoff got there earlier this week, he spent a good two hours talking to Jeff Bhasker about how much of a good idea the trip was.
"Harry is on a writing spree." He complimented Azoff's client, it was nothing but the truth. However the reason for it all, was now heading back to the house to join the others after a good surfing session.
Jane went straight to take a shower, ready to rinse all the ocean's saltiness from her body, thinking how wonderful it would've been if her own worries could be washed away with her tangerine shampoo. In contrast to Harry's good spirits and excellent mood, her own cloud of trouble seemed to follow her all the way from London. She still hadn't heard from her husband, so it is safe to say he was still upset about her going away to work in Harry's album. It was impossible for her to forget the argument they had, at first thinking it was a joke on his side, insinuating that they were ‘shagging behind his back’.
After her shower, wearing comfortable clothes, Jane joins the others for supper but keeps to herself, still with the dichotomy about calling Alex or letting him be. He will eventually come to his senses and apologise.
What if he doesn't?
The thought alone of her clothes being packed in boxes by the time she gets back home almost makes her cry, perhaps she can call or text him just to test the waters. It is ridiculous how she seems to be more mature about this than him.
"Penny for them?" Harry's voice brings her back to the now empty dining room, the voices from the rest of their party can be heard from the living room.
"God I'm sorry H, lost myself out there for a moment," she is embarrassed, with him, the others and herself for letting this situation get under her skin. And she's also avoiding talking about it, with Harry or anyone. "I was just thinking about the tempo for Sweet Creature."
"Liar," he hates to be shut down by her more than anything. "Is it because I didn't let you eat the last peanut drop the other day?" It would've been easier for her to say it was, than to address the actual reason. But Harry hasn't lied to her, ever.
"No love, although I was a bit hurt because of that, it's actually this thing with Alex we are, I don't know, he was upset with me and said some things," Jane couldn't finish, her speech was cut short by a quiet sob and Harry was quick to pull her from the chair onto his lap and hold her tight. His own heart speeding at the sight of her distressed.
"When was the last time you spoke to him?"
"Two weeks ago." Her voice barely whispers on his chest, "he's being a wanker to be honest, just because he's not going on tour with any of his bands I'm supposed to be a stay at home wife!"
"Why don't you explain this to me, from the beginning, please?" He asks rubbing her back soothingly, and she spills it all, the having kids now or never argument, to her wanting to have a proper wedding party and finally the latest fight where Alex suggested an affair going on between her and Harry, the latter had to do his best not to put the option on the table, since her husband so kindly suggested it. Might as well, he thought. "It all sounds like a big misunderstanding, I know you're a great communicator sunshine, so it baffles me that you've let this go on for so long." He's got a point.
"You're right, but I feel like it's his turn, you know?" Jane's done weeping, but remained on her friend's lap and arms, head resting on his shoulder. "He's always forward, mature, a proper thirty year old except when it comes to arguments where we ought to reach an agreement," she plays a bit with the cross hanging from his neck, a scowl on her pretty face. "Like with the children thing, we only stopped arguing when I said that maybe in two more years we could have one instead of, you know, my early thirties." It's good that she can't see how upset Harry is.
"You gave into that one, he should do the same but it's his choice," Harry sighs and can't believe what he's about to say. "Take the day off tomorrow, call him or FaceTime, Skype whatever you choose, but have a proper conversation with him." She wants to argue and say it's not necessary to be absent the whole day, she can spare a few hours. But she will need time to think about what to say, make her point clear so they are on good terms until she goes back to London.
"Fine, but if he is still acting like a dickhead afterwards, I'm not going to let it into my head anymore, we will continue to bask in this great work environment going on here." Jane states, pulling away from his embrace just enough to give him that stern look she uses when trying to make a point, and Harry nods with a warm smile, the one she never gets tired of seeing. "I'll call it a night now, gonna be asleep in seconds now that I've got that out of my chest." She stands from his lap, missing his warmth instantly. "Thanks for that."
"Anytime honey pie." Harry says before leaving a kiss on her left hand that burns her skin from then till morning.
Jeff joins the musician in the dining room right after the girl walks away to her room, he takes a seat across from him and scrutinises the look of adoration his friend still sports once she is out of the room.
"She'll never know, if you never tell her." Jeff is right, but the thought alone of going through that again scares him to death. Or so he says, because there's a part of him that is fond of the thrill it makes him feel.
"It's not like I haven't tried, just last year I told her," Harry remembers that night vividly, how pretty she looked even with her makeup all smudged under her eyes. "I'm not sure if she heard, it was too loud like where we were at the time." He was also pissed out of his mind.
"H, there's nothing wrong with being in love."
"I'm not saying it is, but even if she did love me I– I would find a way to hurt her. Anyway. she's happily married now, it's too late." Saying it out loud doesn't hurt him any less like he thought it would. Harry sighs in defeat before rising from the chair, "she's everything to me, I wouldn't mess with her head by confessing my feelings, deep down I always knew she deserved better and now she has it and that's good enough for me." The musician disappears through the corridor where his everlasting love did just a few minutes ago, he paused for a moment outside her room, pondering whether to barge in and just follow his instincts, kiss her like he should've done after winning that award back in 2014.
Harry shakes his head and goes straight to his room, he reminds himself that it was time to let her go. It's for the best. He is not good enough for her, he can't even write a song for her, about her. He mustn't love her that much then.
What Harry doesn't know is that he can't write a song about her because he loves her too much, the poor lad can't even figure out where to start. But he's about to get rid of that curse in a day or two, he just needs to be patient.
The reward for it came, all of a sudden Harry wrote too many songs about her until she inevitably became aware of the situation they were in. Harry vowed to stay away from Jane’s life after recording the album. He dated people that didn’t remind him of her, and even moved temporarily to Japan. But despite all his efforts, four years later Harry still finds himself thinking about her, everything seems to be tainted by her. The music he adores, the new dinner recipes he cooks, the books he chooses to read.
Completely out of options he agreed to this blind date his friends set up for him.
He arrives at the modest restaurant they so kindly chose for the occasion. “All you have to do is wear something nice and show up.” Alexa reminded him over the phone last week.
This is a new first for him, it is also exciting, to take a seat at a table for two conveniently placed at the back, pretend to pay attention to the menu but let his green eyes avert to whoever approaches. Harry is having a great time, he knows that soon his date will arrive. He wonders what they’ll be like.
According to Alexa and Pixie, the person arriving is the perfect match for their young friend. Harry can only hope they like Vietnamese cuisine because that’s apparently this place’s special offer this week. If he’s lucky enough the date will agree to share a starter and perhaps two main courses, that way he doesn’t have to choose between one or the other.
“Here’s your table.” Harry hears the waiter speak and his gaze meets a very familiar figure standing beside him. It can’t be.
“Excuse me, there must be a mistake, I’m waiting for someone else.” Harry protests.
The waiter shakes his head and shows him the notepad with some specifications written down. “Nothing wrong, got specific instructions from Miss Chung, a lady will come in to say is here for Geldolf’s blind date, you are sitting at the table they reserved. I’ll be back in a few minutes to take your order.” He is quick to explain and disappear.
Jane sits because there is no way she can stand any longer, her legs are about to give out from the commotion. This was not the blind date she was expecting either. It’s been at least four years since she last saw Harry. The night after he finally admitted being in love with her, waiting for a reaction, anything from her, after what seemed like hours but was only ten minutes later, he walked out of her house and entire life, leaving her confused and upset.
“How’ve you been?” she asked after confirming that Harry wasn’t going to up and leave.
“Pretty fantastic, until you arrived.” He’s never spoken to her like that before, with so much affliction in his tone. “What are you doing here?”
“I was set up on a blind date by Pixie—
He interrupts her. “That’s fucking convenient, did you all went to this much trouble, just to mock me? I thought they were my friends, you know, that even after everything, they cared about me.” Harry stops, his voice breaks, he’s so angry, hurt and confused by the situation. “Did your husband come along, to witness my humiliation too?” He looks around, trying to find the man of Jane’s dreams.
“I wouldn’t know if he’s here, haven’t seen him since we got divorced three years ago.” She snaps before hiding behind the menu from a gobsmacked Harry.
The words he’d been waiting to hear were finally out of her mouth. Unlike the million times he dreamt about this happening, Harry is not sweeping her off her feet and running away into the sunset holding her hand. Instead he reaches out to touch her arm, testing the waters. He waits for her to lower the menu and surprisingly there are no tears in her eyes. Perhaps only a bit of sorrow that is quickly replaced with confusion, at how fast her heart raced after Harry’s touch.
“Do you want to talk about it?” His voice is back to oozing the tenderness he reserves just for her. Jane nods.
“But can we share a rice bowl and Pho noodle soup?”
“Yes, and dessert too!” Even after four years Harry’s sweet tooth hasn’t changed, Jane sighs before the waiter is back to take their order.
Keeping a conversation between the two of them is not hard at all, even if it is an awkward topic —her not so recent divorce. “We didn’t have anything in common anymore, there were so many fights every single day. When I finally suggested the separation, he seemed relieved and I felt like a complete fool.” Jane remembers the sigh of comfort that came out of the man she once loved with all her heart before that rainy afternoon, when she finally decided that she’d had enough. “He left that night, hadn’t seen him since, his lawyer took care of everything,” a sour laugh escapes her lips, Harry’s eyes are full of sympathy for her. “I’m sorry for ruining your blind date, I know you’ve never been to one before.” Of course she did, she knows him better than anyone.
“This has to be the greatest date I’ve ever been to.” He speaks without a second thought.
All those years Harry spent away from Jane were not going to be in vain. He was not going to neglect the feelings he still had for her. That affection he felt for her, only her. Harry shifts in his seat, this is not at all how he planned it, in a restaurant full of people on fucking Valentine’s day. It almost seemed like a tacky move.
But after all this time of pining for her, hating her and himself at times. Harry was brave enough, it was now or never, he didn’t want to wait any longer, not after his friends schemed and executed this soppy plan to bring the two soulmates together. Before she could take the final bite of dessert that Harry kindly left for her. The world stopped.
“I don’t want this to end...” Harry says with a dimpled smile she can’t look away from. “I’d like to take you out on a second date, a third, fourth, fifth. Believe me when I tell you, I have planned up to a thousand of them.” He takes her hand in his and can feel her pulse race along his own. The smile splits his face again, because he knows, he feels, he sees it in her beautiful eyes. “Janey, you’re the first person I’ve ever wanted to hold on to. I know there is a name for this emotion, I’ve written songs about it, but now I don’t think it’s a word big enough for us.”
She squeezes his hand and breaths out a laugh, tears of joy brimming out of her eyes. “Let’s call it love, until we come up with a better name for it.” Harry agrees and just then, Jane brings up his hand to her lips.
His skin tingles where she kisses him for the first time and he beams at her.
There’s a first for everything, and although it feels like it for Jane and Harry, this isn’t by any means the first time they confess their love for each other. It was always there, in every laugh they shared, every song they wrote together, every touch. It was on Harry’s unwavering devotion, on his impatience and selfless actions throughout the years.
They were bound to be together, their story didn’t begin on that initial blind date, it did years ago after he caught a glimpse of her shiny black hair on the morning she moved into the house across the street.
Harry drives her back to her new flat on the other side of the city, enjoying every minute of the long ride, happy to hear her ramble about her newest obsession with romantic novels and burst out laughing after Jane confesses that sometimes she doesn’t finish reading books she likes, just to pretend the story keeps going. With a quick kiss to the back of her hand he completely agrees.
No tale is more compelling than one that never ends.

|ROMAN REIGNS & SASHA BANKS|
✨THE STORYLINE; SHORT STORY ✨
Bio; Since WWE may or may not give us the Roman and Sasha interaction some of us want, I decided to write a little short story of how I sort of envisioned it going. This story will have three parts to it, hopefully you guys like it enough so I'll continue it! Feedback would be great. I also got a little inspiration from @haharollins someone had asked her to write a quick storyline between them and she wrote down a lot of great ideas I loved. Also @moxley-leakee from the head cannons she write. :)
Cast; Roman Reigns/Sasha Banks/Jey Uso etc. Everyone who has basically been involved with them as of late and a little bit of last year.
Warnings; Reminder, this is just a made up storyline! It has a bit of a romantic angle to it as well but this is not to disrespect their spouses in anyway, this is just for fun. If you don't really care for them to have that type of interaction, then this isn't the type of story for you. No sexual content involved either, just a regular storyline between the two.
|PART ONE|
November 13, 2020
Survivor Series was slowly approaching. The faces of SmackDown knew what was coming their way; Roman would be facing Drew McIntyre, and Sasha would be facing Asuka. However, the sudden, yet "untouchable" thorn in Sasha's side had attacked her after successfully retaining her championship against Bayley. Carmella's eyes were on the title, and even though Sasha was aware after last week, she had no idea who else's eyes were on her.
Earlier tonight, Roman had an intense interaction with Drew. During that time, Jey had gotten involved, and entered himself in a match with him. Roman was furious, and after scolding Jey at the top of his lungs, he had trouble calming down for the rest of the night. He stayed in his private locker room for a minute before deciding to take a walk in the hallway on his own to think. The camera's were on him, watching his every move. Roman stared at the ground as he walked in deep thought until he came across the television that was on the wall, and the blue-haired woman had caught his attention.
Sasha wore a cheetah print body suit that had blue accents all over it, and it hugged her body like a glove. Her blue hair beautifully cascaded down her back, while the women's title sparkled on her shoulder. As she continued to gloat into the microphone, Roman couldn't help but smirk to himself. He crossed his arms and licked his lips, taking notice of how gorgeous she looked. Roman always had a soft spot of Sasha; He always admired how confident she was, and she was one hell of a woman to him. Sasha had it all, and she was not the same girl he had tag-teamed with four years ago. He never would've thought that there would be a day they would be champions at the same time, but he never complained. If he could have it his way, he would keep it this way; It wasn't like he was going to lose his title anytime soon, and neither was she. Roman knew he was the best of the best, including her. He believed in her.
All of a sudden, Bayley's theme had interuppted Sasha. When Sasha wasn't looking, out of nowhere, Carmella had turned her around and super-kicked her in the face. Roman's smirk fell from his face and a slightly angered expression appeared as Carmella continued to beat her down. Carmella stood tall against Sasha; The camera switched back onto him and Roman sighed, looking away from the TV briefly.
"And there's the Universal Champion--Wait, What is he doing?" Michael Cole confusingly questioned into his headset.
"I don't know, Cole." Corey Graves replied, confused as well.
Roman's eyes wondered around in thought until he got a bright idea. He slowly looked back at the screen, watching Carmella leave Sasha alone in the ring. He unfolded his arms, biting his lip from holding back a smile, then he walked away from the television.
The cameras switched back onto Michael Cole and Corey Graves, and they stared at each other with a weird look. Then they looked back at the camera.
"It looks like the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has something up his sleeve for the Women's Champion, Sasha Banks?" Michael Cole in a curious tone,
"Am I the only one that's still confused?" Corey Graves adds, "What is he thinking? And why would he want to have anything to do with Sasha?"
Michael Cole shrugs, "I guess we're going to have to find out next week." Then they moved on to talk about the other matches and segments.
November 20th, 2020
After getting attacked by Carmella, for the hundredth time, the boss finally began to feel defeated; This wasn't like her at all, and she was so confused. She was humiliated week after week, and now she was taken down in front of Asuka right before Survivor Series. What if the locker room thought she was weak? Or that her title reign would be shorter than all of her others combined? She was the boss but it didn't feel like it at the moment to her. She wondered if Carmella came to her like a real woman, then this would've went differently--but, it was clear that she had time and time again to put a stop to her surprises, and she didn't. Sasha knew that Carmella was after her, but she didn't have confidence in herself that she would be victorious in this fued when it was over.
The camera shot was back on the Women's Champion after Roman and Drew's contract signing was over. She said in the trainer's office, sitting down with her title lying next her. Her head was laid against wall in pain, and the trainer gave her an ice pack to put on her head for the time being. She sighed, quietly thanking him. Then, without a knock, the door opened. It revealed the Universal Champion along with his special counsel and his cousin, Jey Uso.
The two made eye contact with each other in an instant, and silence lingered in the room. Sasha slowly brought the ice pack down from her head, and she experienced a tingly feeling in her stomach. Despite her hidden enjoyment of seeing the Samoan, her eyebrows furrowed a little bit; What brought him here? The pair hadn't interacted in a long time. Not intentionally either, but time passed and they of course went their own separate ways after they had last been together. It might've been awhile, but the chemistry was still there. It never left; It was more than evident at this moment. Even though they knew each other, they were two totally different people than they were four years ago.
Roman switched his attention onto the trainer, giving him an intense expression before looking straight ahead, "Paul.." He said in an awaiting tone. Sasha looked between Paul, Jey, and the trainer. Paul nodded his head politely, signaling Jey and waved his hand over at the trainer to leave the room. The trainer nervously exited the room in fear, Paul and Jey followed behind him, closing the door shut. Roman and Sasha were left alone. Not being able to hold his gaze any longer, she looked down embarrassingly. He probably saw what happened, she thought.
Roman walked further in the room an stopped in front of her, but not too close to where it would make her uncomfortable, "May I?" He asked calmly, and his deep voice made her even more nervous by the second. She nodded, refusing to look at him still.
The head of the table set his title down onto the seat not too far away from him, and sat down next to the beaten up woman. He closed his hands together, resting his arms on his knees and he turned his head to look at Sasha, "I've been in your shoes."
Sasha played with her fingers while she listened to him speak. Normally, she probably would've had a rebuttal, but she felt so broken down that she had no choice but to stay quiet. Roman's attention stayed solely on her as he continued, "I can read you like an open book, Sasha. I know you."
His words replayed in her head like a broken record player; It struck a cord within her and she felt lost. What did he mean by that? What was he implying?
She finally stopped playing with her fingers and their eyes met. Roman could see the sudden confusion yet sadness right through her, which made him even more determined to get his point across.
"I know you've been beating yourself up, and I know that you've been doubting yourself, but this isn't you." Roman paused, "I know what you're going through. I've been through it all, seen it all, and heard it all. I know that people have been tearing you down for being champion; Bayley has said countless times how much you don't deserve it, and Carmella hasn't wasted any time in making sure that you lose your title. But who gives a damn about what they think? Or what they want?"
Sasha's confused facial expression turns into a softer one as she listens to what he's saying. She took in everything, paying close attention.
"The boss I remember, would prove everyone wrong regardless of the hate. You're stronger, bigger and better than any of those people. None of these women can hold a candle to you, and that's exactly why you're champion, because you're the best. You make the title, the title didn't make you. You've come so far and busted your ass for this company way too hard for Carmella, Bayley, or anyone else to take that away. Make them understand who runs this division."
Sasha realized that he was completely right. During this time, she cared way too much about what other people thought which led her to become an easy target, and the boss was never an easy target. If she was, she wouldn't be where she is right now. She had finally remembered who she was, and what she stood for, and no one was going to take that away from her. Sasha softly smiled a little bit, and nodded, understanding where he was coming from.
Roman recognized the smile on her face; It ended up making him grin a tiny bit, and he felt butterflies in his stomach which was a feeling that was mutual to Sasha as well. He gently patted her knee, getting up from his seat and slid his championship on his shoulder. Before he left, he looked down at her one last time and said truthfully, "I believe in you."
Sasha and Roman exchanged looks of admiration before he left the room, leaving her on her own. She smirked shyly, looking down at her lap. Soon enough, SmackDown went off air.
November 22, 2020
The score was so far 2-1 between Raw and SmackDown. The Raw men had successfully beaten the SmackDown men; The Street Profits beat the New Day and Bobby Lashley had beaten Sami Zayn. So far, it wasn't looking good for SmackDown. However, Sasha was determined to make the score even and hopefully Roman and the SmackDown women would be the ones to take it home.
Currently, Sasha was in a match with Asuka. The match was very intense, and it had everyone who was watching on their toes. No one was sure who would win since it was close. Sasha was close to winning multiple times, but it wasn't enough to defeat Asuka.
Asuka kicked Sasha in the chest, knocking her down roughly. When the opportunity was present, Asuka went for her finisher but when she least expected it, Sasha caught her right in the middle of it and kept her shoulders down long enough so she could successfully win the match. Sasha let go of the empress and took a deep breath while there was shock written all over Asuka's face.
"The boss has beaten the empress!" Michael Cole exclaimed. A wide smile grew on Sasha's face and she punched the air in happiness.
"And you're winner, The SmackDown Women's Champion, Sasha Banks!" The ring announcer says with his chest. The ring announcer gives Sasha her title, and helps her up so he could raise her hand. Sasha smiled brightly, feeling over the moon proud of herself that she had won.
A backstage camera showed a shot of Roman and Paul watching her victory from his locker room. He smirked, feeling just as proud. Roman turned his head to look at Paul, and he gave him a look of approval before they both turned their attention back on the screen before he started to prepare for his match with Drew later that night.
➰
Even though the score between Raw and SmackDown was now 3-2, Roman still brought it home for SmackDown and won against Drew McIntyre. After the low blow Roman had given Drew, Jey still came to Roman's aid to sneak a kick at Drew's face so it could put him down for the count for good. After Roman squeezed Drew in his submission, another referee had come out to declare the match. He had proven to Drew, and everyone else, that he was the champion.
As Roman walked out of the ring and up the ramp, he noticed Jey at the top, cheering him on even though he ordered him to leave the building after losing his match against Raw. Once he reaches the top, Jey and himself stare at each other. Jey looks at him nervously, wondering if he'll get angry meanwhile Roman decides to let it slide for the night, and let the consequences come later. He nods, opening his arm up so he could hug him and Jey doesn't hesitate to hold him tight.
When they pull away from the hug, Sasha's theme music plays, surprising everyone who was at the announce table and through the screen virtually.
"Is that who I think it is?" Corey Graves questions.
"It's Sasha Banks!" Michael Cole says in a excited yet confused tone, once again.
"What the hell is she doing?" Samoa Joe asked at the announce table.
As Sasha walked out from the gorilla with the title wrapped around her waist, Paul and Jey turned around to look at her. Paul proudly smiled at her, giving her the nod of approval while Jey wasted no time in clapping, hyping her up from her win earlier tonight. Sasha softly grinned at the both of them, and instead of dancing her way out like she usually does, she walked out more calmly since she was coming out to congratulate Roman, along with showing appreciation to him after encouraging her.
Roman didn't turn around right away, but couldn't help but smirk at the sound of her music. He licked his lips, and turned around to see her approaching him. She stood right next to him, and a small smile grew across her face as he looked down at her, admiring her beauty. He couldn't of been more proud of her. Roman switched his title onto his other hand, and held his hand out to her. Sasha looked down at his hand, and gently took a hold of it. Roman brought her hand to his lips, kissing the top of it softly before saying, "I told you, you could do it."
Sasha swooned on the inside by his sweet gesture, and she lightly blushed while she stared at her tribal chief, "It was all you."
Roman gave her hand a soft squeeze in reaction of her reply, winking at her and his strong--tattoed arm brought her into his side. Jey stood close to Roman while Paul watched in amazment. Meanwhile, Drew sat in the ring, looking at Roman and Sasha with a lost facial expression on his face.
Roman looked down at his title in his hand and said, "This is ours, and this stays with us for the near future. We'll take down what we want to." Then he raises his title above his head proudly, and Jey wraps his arm around Roman's shoulder. Roman looks down at me, and nods, signaling me to do the same. Sasha unbuckles her title from her waist, and holds her title above her head as well as Roman's theme music cues shortly after.
"Wait, does this mean that the head of the table has formed an alliance with the boss?" Michael Cole says in a surprised tone.
"This should be good." Samoa Joe adds, speaking what everyone else might've been thinking. After a lingering silence from the announce table, the program cuts to commerical.

So, I've seen you reblogging some random My Hero Academia fanart lately, and I was wondering how much of it you know? Why? Because I'm curious if you have any idea about a possible crossover with Danny Phantom. (it's surprising how well DP can be crossover-ed with basically EVERYTHING and still make sense...)
I have seen the show. I...think?...I’m caught up on the show. I have not read a word of the manga.
For a crossover with DP, I like the idea of Danny falling into their world rather than the other way around; it’s just easier, even if you toss in a time travel/dimension kind of quirk thing gone wrong and rely on Clockwork to get them home again. Me, I’d do this one of two ways, depending on whether or not Danny ever has a chance of going home again. Or, perhaps more accurately, how slim that chance is, because he’d still have a chance.
Option 1: Danny’s stuck in their world. Forever. Or near enough. Because he was trapped in a thermos for years, longer than anyone would expect him to be alive, and his time doesn’t exist, it’s past, it’s gone, because it hasn’t just been a day, it hasn’t just been a month, not even a year, and every human he ever knew and loved is gone. He couldn’t even find his family if he tried. It’s been too long, the world’s changed, and there are these things called quirks now, and he just.... He holds onto the faint hope that Clockwork can get him back home, that Clockwork will agree to let him go back home, that this can just be a few extra days or weeks or whatever lived in his life but otherwise it’s fine and like he was never anywhere else, but the stable portals he knew are gone, he doesn’t know how to find and can’t create the natural ones, and ghosts like Wulf and Cujo wouldn’t even know he was back.
He can’t remember very well how he got into this mess. Maybe Vlad caught him and buried him on the other side of the world; maybe Vlad tossed him into the Ghost Zone, never really expecting Danny to get out. Everything is muddled, confused, coming back in pieces, and not like a moment frozen in time where he gets out and immediately remembers everything. It’s not like it normally is. But maybe it’s because he wasn’t released like he normally is, since he didn’t get out until the thermos degraded to the point that there was a hole he could slip through. Maybe it’s just because he was in there too long. He...he doesn’t know.
Option 2: AKA my old standby for DP crossovers to worlds that aren’t enough like his own, a door or portal in the Ghost Zone. Maybe Danny meant to go through, whether he was exploring or running from something with five sets of teeth that was faster than it had any right to be, or maybe it popped up in front of him and he was through before he could change course. He doesn’t have more hope of getting home in this scenario, exactly, but he’d be more hopeful, because this obviously isn’t the same world, it can’t be, so he can get back and get home and it’ll all be fine.
In both cases, you can ignore the language barrier--write it off as a ghostly ability Danny didn’t realize he had, though that logic fails a bit when Tucker understands Wulf the best, or maybe Danny hearing it for years while in the thermos and just sort of absorbing it--through osmosis, if you like. But if you acknowledge it. If you accept the fact that Danny suddenly finds himself in a world where he can’t speak the language, can’t read or understand or even be sure he recognizes the language--because what is that, Chinese, Japanese, Korean? He has no idea. It might not even be any of those if it’s been how many years since, what with evolution of language. He just knows he doesn’t know the alphabet at all--then you can easily force other characters to interact with him once he gets in trouble (as will happen; it’s Danny) and maybe bring in a convenient universal translator hero support prototype, initially designed to help heroes better communicate with victims who don’t speak the same tongue(s) with plans for further development outside of heroing if it’s successful. Such a device would also give Danny a convenient excuse for when he says something that receives blank stares, as he can pretend it glitched.
Now. Danny will be trying to get home. That might be his entire thing--that and potentially acceptance that he can’t go home, depending on how things pan out. If he came through a portal/doorway, then he might be keeping an ear to the ground to find out why if there’s some reason why he’s here, but if he was just stuck in a thermos, he’s going to assume he got out because of pure dumb luck/erosion and focus most of his energy on finding a way into the Ghost Zone, which may or may not come back to bite him later. Especially if he didn’t just get out by chance or is here for a reason and doesn’t know enough to understand what that reason is.
The obvious thing to consider is how quickly Danny realizes these guys only have one ‘quirk’, even if they can use it in multiple ways. If he gets any inkling at all from them that having more than one quirk is odd and potentially suspicious, you can bet he’d try to hide it. He’s used to that. He’s had to hide from so many people. He can hide from these people, too. Or at least try his best. Me and my penchant for misunderstandings would obviously choose to have him hide his multiple abilities and not just, y’know, tell or show them straight away.
I mean.
Say they saw Phantom before they ever saw Fenton. Flying. Phasing. Shooting ectoblasts. That’s not normal.
And if Danny saw something happen and jumped in to help without entirely understanding the situation? He might try to take down both heroes and bad guys because geez, those people almost got crushed when that building fell, and another bystander nearly got flambéed, and he knows he’s destructive when he’s trying to save people, but still. Giant Lady is a pretty good distraction if you need a distraction, and she could get away from the good guys fast enough, and that guy just walked through a brick wall, so there’s a good chance he’s overshadowed even if Danny’s too far away for his ghost sense to go off, and--
Point is, they (some) might mistakenly peg Phantom as a villain, at least until the next fight where they have time to talk. Danny, who very definitely Not Going Ghost until he figures out what the heck is going on, is found in the aftermath and assumed to be a victim--a tourist, probably, since they can’t understand him and he can’t understand them--and probably picks an ability to call a ‘quirk’ even if pretending to be quirkless would be smarter because he’s not convinced he might not do something almost on instinct, and then where would that get him?
Danny does not overhear the speculation that perhaps this Phantom is after him. He does not overhear the concern of the UA students who witnessed the fight. He does not know how many strings were pulled to get him released from the hospital--where he Very Obviously does Not want to be, but he can write off weird abnormalities as, say, part of his Ice Quirk powers; after all, sneaking away probably won’t do him any favours, even if he has to get out of there before they realize exactly how fast he’s healing--or how difficult it was to get him released into the protective custody of the good people at UA (or, more specifically, those who rallied for him to get the opportunity). Because he’s wary and spooked and confused but still ready to fight, and they can see that, and they want to help him. They’re not even sure how much training he’s had with his quirk, since even after extensive questioning and a subsequent exhaustive search, they can’t find any record of a hero named Frostbite.
They can’t even find a record of Daniel Fenton. Not someone with an Ice Quirk who matches his description, anyway.
Which makes some people wary, even when others are eagerly including him, because what if he’s a plant, a spy, otherwise not on their side even if he’s not working with any known villains, and--
Hogwash. Poppycock. Pick your old-fashioned word for it, but that’s pretty much how your thinking is going, someone else would say. Because the kid’s got a good heart, and anyone can see that. He wants to help people. He does, even when it hurts him. He’s got the heart of a hero.
With what they’ve seen of him, it’s enough to quiet the mutterings.
Until the day Danny forgets himself and displays another Quirk in a way that can’t be explained, especially in light of all the other incidents that were.

Lyric prompt! "With no-one wearing their real face It's a whiteout of emotion And I've only got my brittle bones to break the fall"
Tony Stark was in the nearly-brand-new luxury car that his father Howard was driving. His mother had put in a tape of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Tony was nowhere to be found.
They think he died in the woods due to a substantial amount of blood found soaked into snow, and the fact that it was on a twisty road with no help coming until the following day, and the temperature was well and truly freezing.
It was snowing. Snow covered tracks.
They technically never found Tony Stark. He was the cause of multiple conspiracy theories, such as:
1.) He had died earlier and the Starks had been replacing him until it was impossible to. His double’s name was Arno, which was a name that was very unfortunate and also quite ugly.
2.) Tony Stark, unable to deal with the pressures of his life, had run away and was currently running a coffee shop in Portland. This was substantiated with a picture of a barista with remarkable similarities, and the article got substantial clout on the internet until the barista, named Robert, had said “please take this down all I’m doing is loving my wife and making coffee I can’t handle much more than that.”
3.) Tony Stark had run away from his life and the strained relationship with his parents (complete with picture analysis), and wanted to live his life in peace and quiet by himself and maybe have a regular existence while also lying low in the shadows and taking care of corporate criminals.
The last one didn’t gain much traction. But it was the only one that was correct.
(The last theory is credited to WARMACHINEROX, all caps and no spaces.)
Tony Stark became Tony Jarvis, and while people say he looks similar to the late Howard Stark, he laughs it off and says that he was raised in upstate New York with cozy sweaters and a loving aunt and uncle who made the best damn hot chocolate in the state.
People do not question this because outside of New York City, there really is nothing to learn about unless you’re into that sort of thing. And most people who ask are not.
Tony Jarvis owns his own coffee shop that also doubles as a record/bookshop, because he is nothing if not resourceful. He always seems to have just the record you were looking for, or the right book to gift to a friend in times of trouble. (Whether or not you have known about it.)
Kids walk down every Friday to treat themselves to a cookie and a book, sitting quietly and smiling as Tony asks them about class and helps out with math homework. He wears nice cardigans and talks to their parents when they’ve arrived. He likes dogs. And he wears scarves when it gets really cold.
Of course Tony also tracks down corporate criminals and tends to make a right mess of things in a roundabout way, but he will take the occasional Saturday off to go to the farmers’ market and get a fresh bouquet of flowers, fresh-baked bread, and a nice blend of coffees from the shop down the street.
It’s fun, really. Amusing at its most dangerous.
They call him Iron Man. Might be because he’s designed a flying suit that he flies around in and his ability to get through systems is amazing, but more amazing is the fact that no one can get through his.
Well, the only person who could--Colonel Rhodes--says the system is too complicated and it would take years to understand.
Rhodes goes by Rhodey and is a great friend of Tony Jarvis. He reads to the children who want it on Friday and likes coffee. He also likes beating Tony at his game and ruining his strategies online.
But he won’t crack the codes needed, and Tony likes that.
-
Why did Tony become someone else? The answer is simple: he didn’t trust anyone that was in his life save for Edwin and Ana, and perhaps his mother. (But his mother would never leave someone like Howard. Tony’s not sure she even could.)
There was underground dealings. Hydra agents that were supposed to be dead landing in profitable positions. And the pesky little fact that Tony didn’t like the way that Obadiah Stane handled things and was evasive and weird and he had a strange look about him.
This doesn’t necessarily make him a villain.
At least, until Tony found the files that were ordering an assassination hit on his family.
And then he faked his death. Or his disappearance. Whatever.
Now he’s wanted by the US government and SHIELD, the former of which is not important because they have the skillset of a toddler. SHIELD is much more important as they tend to hire people who are skilled, which is unfortunate for Tony.
They hire people like Natasha Romanov, the Black Widow and the woman who gets front row tickets to see Rihanna. She has that type of energy, which Tony knows and is scared of.
They have Bruce Banner on retainer, the scientist who is so blisteringly smart that Tony thinks if he ever sees him in real life, he’s gonna have to wear sunglasses.
They also have Falcon. Enough said.
Steve Rogers isn’t so much a threat because Tony is pretty sure that he could see “look at that!” and his head would turn in that direction, allowing a clean getaway. But Rogers can have the occasional good strategy. (More than occasional.)
And Winter Soldier. Bucky Barnes. Oh, he’s cute. And dangerous. Mostly cute though.
-
“He’s gonna kill you,” Rhodey reminds Tony, pushing a new shipment of books onto the shelves. “He’s gonna kill you and you’re gonna let him because when you like someone you think everything about them is cute and good.”
“If he finds me,” Tony sniffs. “Of all the bookshops in New York, you think he’s gonna walk into this one?”
As a matter of fact, yes he is. Bucky Barnes is not really the type of guy to have his life together. He knows how to fix a sink and make the pipes work better, and so he gets a discount on his apartment’s rent.
But he thinks that he’s all-together while conveniently forgetting that he was trained for combat and not to be a human being and it’s not all that smooth, going from being a machine to being human.
He forgets he has to buy coffee.
This culminates in him realizing he has no hobbies outside SHIELD and Steve recommends finding a bookshop.
So he does.
The man who is running it is nice. He has glasses, a kind smile, and jams his hands into his cardigan.
(His brain whispers that he’s doing it to not give himself away.
Bucky ignores this because regular humans do a lot of things that aren’t like his targets.
He should not have ignored this. Or maybe he still should. Either way.)
Tony Jarvis is Tony Jarvis. No one else knows that up until about eight years ago, Tony Jarvis did not exist.
And he’s looking at Bucky Barnes, who has quite the record for successful targets and also has a nice smile, apparently.
(He’s wondering when the dental work was done. Honestly, he is.)
“I’m...new to the area,” Bucky says. “And my friend suggested that I find a bookshop and sit down to read. Any recommendations?”
“What’s your favorite genre?” Tony asks, as if he doesn’t know that it’s science-fiction and also mysteries. (Peggy liked to talk.)
“I like mysteries. And science-fiction,” Bucky says.
“Well then, I have some recs for you,” Tony answers, turning. “Let me get them to you. Also, do you like chocolate chip or oatmeal for cookies? They’re complementary for first visits.”
“You can tell when someone first visits?” Bucky asks.
“I have a good memory, and I would’ve remembered someone like you,” Tony says.
(he’s so glad he’s faced away. his face is firetruck red and it’s not because he’s been blasting the heat ever since the temperatures dropped)
The shop itself is cozy. Bucky gets sucked into a book about a space criminal. He’s never read anything like it, and he loves the way it’s written.
He buys it and tucks it under his arm as he hears a soft chime from his phone.
Meeting about the problem. be there asap
Bucky sighs, chewing the oatmeal cookie that he was given.
He nearly drops it from his mouth.
“Where do you get these?” he asks Tony. “These are the best things I’ve ever tasted, and oatmeal is my favorite!”
“I, um, I made them?” Tony says. “I can forward you the recipe next time you stop by, if you’d like.”
“Nah, that’s okay,” Bucky says. “They’re always better when someone else makes them, in my opinion. If that’s okay.”
“Makes sense,” Tony says. “Have a good day!”
Bucky smiles to himself. (Tony Jarvis has a rather nice smile. It’s kind.)
-
Meanwhile, Tony is sagged up against the wall. Bucky Barnes is now close. He will come back because Tony cannot make himself be mean to someone like him.
But he can’t be caught. Not yet.
Not when he’s planning on a total take-down.

The Southsider (pt. 3)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: With y/n's past out, her life starts to fall apart, but Sweet Pea is determined to be there for her. But what happens when a secret that even she doesn't know comes out?
Warning: past trauma, tragic backstory (sry I don't want to spoil it)
Word Count: 2981
Chapter 1 • Chapter 2 • Chapter 4
"Attention, everybody. I have an announcement to make." You watched Reggie speak on top of the table, already knowing it had something to do with the Southside and why they shouldn't be here.
"As you know, the Southside have invaded our space, and who knows when they'll try to take over. But what we didn't know was that a Southsider has been invading our territory for four years." The Serpents' reactions went from angry to confused. Everybody in the room was shocked.
Cheryl was standing beside Reggie on the ground with a few of her friends. One of them was recording this.
You were terrified. Someone had found out. Reggie, of all people. And Cheryl was in on it. No, you didn't think Cheryl would agree to this if she knew. You thought that Cheryl of all people could sympathize with you when it came to what happened with your family.
"Y/n Y/l/n. It says right here that you were born on the Southside, and grew up there until four years ago." He said, reading what looked like your police file. "That explains it all. Taking their side, running her mouth all the time." He then looks at you. "That's why you're so different. You are below us."
"Okay, Reggie. You caught me." You said carefully. "I'm from the Southside. Are you satisfied?"
"Not just yet." You looked at Jughead, panicking. His eyes were wide as his anger was rising.
"If any of you are wondering why she invaded the Northside, I'm the man to tell you."
"Shut your mouth Reggie!" Jughead yelled.
"Once upon a time, there was this chick. She grew up in a trash town that was infested with snakes. Nobody paid attention to her. She was quiet and didn't talk to anyone. She was perfectly boring. Except she wasn't."
"Reggie please. Stop." You frantically said.
"You see, her dad seemed to be a pretty normal guy, but at home, that was a different story."
Cheryl then looked at him, concerned. She didn't want this to be too bad, but this seemed serious. "Stop it Reggie!" Jughead stood.
"He used to beat the girl, and her mom. Everyday. He'd do it where they could hide the bruises, but one day he he went too far." He was staring straight at you.
"Oh my God, Reggie stop!" Cheryl said. She then turned to the girl who was recording. "Stop recording!"
"He had just beaten the girl, and she was lying on the floor crying. He was so mad at the crying, he told this girl to stop or else he'd beat her mom. Guess she was too scared or something, cause she cried harder. So he went, and beat her mom and kept beating her until her mom stopped struggling. She was dead."
Tears slipped down your cheeks. It was out. Everybody knew. You were a coward, and let your own mom, who you loved more than anything, die.
Sweet Pea had been listening to this the whole time. He had just been listening, too shocked to do anything. But then he looked at you, crying and looking so small. Someone who always smiled and made jokes and was perfect to him, was crying.
"She didn't do anything to help her own mom. After he left the house she went to get help, but it was too late anyways. You let your mom die y/n. Who's to say you aren't just like your Southside dad?"
You stood up and bolted out of the cafeteria. This caused a switch went off in Sweet Pea. Reggie. He stood, going straight to that table he was standing on. He went on the table, not hesitating when punching him in the face. Another bulldog was going to grab Sweet Pea's feet on the table, but his shoulder was yanked. He turned to get Jughead's fist in his face. From then it was an all out rage between Bulldogs and Serpents.
Betty ran after you, finding you sitting on the floor in the girls restroom sobbing into your hands. "Oh, y/n." She rushed over to you, sitting next to you and hugging you.
"He's right Betty. It's all my fault."
"No it's not, y/n/n. You were a kid, there's nothing you could have done. You were scared, and that's okay."
"No it's not. She's gone. She's gone because of me."
"No, she's gone because of your psycho dad. He's the one that hurt the two of you. Don't blame yourself, y/n. Your mom wouldn't want it, would she?"
You shook your head, starting to calm down. That was when Cheryl made her presence known. "What do you want, Cheryl?" You muttered.
"I am so sorry, y/n. I had no idea that Reggie was going to say something like that. You don't deserve that. Take it from someone with a horrible father as well." You wanted to be mad at her, scream at her, slap her, but you didn't. She really didn't know about it, and when you felt like this you always wonder what your mom would do. She would forgive.
"It's okay." You stood, Betty putting her hand on your shoulder. Cheryl then stepped forward, giving you a hug.
She then pulled back. "Okay, now that that's over, we need to go to the office."
"Why?" Betty asked.
"There was a full out fight between the Serpents and the Bulldogs just now." Cheryl explained, pointing her finger towards the door. "It probably was just stopped now, and no doubt the Serpents are going to be blamed for it. Meaning your boyfriends are going to be punished for the Bulldogs' doing."
"Okay, but what do we do about it?"
"You, my dear y/n, are going to use those tears to convince principal Weatherbee to not let the Southsiders be punished. Cousin and I will play the role of supporting friends."
"And then he told me that I was just like him!" You told principal Weatherbee through fake tears. All of those who were a part of the fight stood behind you. Betty rubbed your back while Cheryl held your hand.
"There there, y/n. It'll be okay. Hopefully this rein of bullying at this school will come to an end." Cheryl sighed. Betty nodded. She then turned around and looked back at Jughead, winking. Jughead got it.
"Riverdale High is supposed to be the place where I feel safe. Isn't that why Southside High closed down? You'd think that this highschool, your highschool, would show people to be better. The Serpents knew how unsafe I felt, and right now I haven't felt this helpless since, well, you know. This was their was of showing me that I can be protected, and punishing them means that I won't be able to feel safe at this school."
Jughead came up to hug you. "It'll be okay." He whispered, loud enough to be heard but soft enough to be sincere.
"Thanks Juggy." You whimpered.
"I think I've heard enough." Principal Weatherbee stood from his seat. "Bulldogs, stay here. Mr. Mantle, come with me. The rest of you may leave, I'll send an announcement on the intercoms that the rest of school today will be canceled. And, Miss. Y/l/n."
You looked at him. "My apologies for this whole incident." You gave him a weak smile and nodded, heading out with the rest. Right when you exited those door Jughead pulled you in for a tight hug. You hugged back.
"Okay, I'm going to Pop's. Coming Betty?" And with that him and Betty left. Cheryl also gave her hug and said goodbye while the others walked away, leaving you with Sweet Pea.
You smiled. "Hi."
He huffed out a small smile. "You seem to be doing okay. Are you okay?"
"I'm pulling through. My dad was a pretty angry dude all the time, and I aspire to not be like him. So here I am. And besides, you're still here with me. Why shouldn't I smile?" You then put your hand to his cheek unconsciously, looking at his injuries. "You seem pretty tore up, though. Are you okay?"
"I'm pulling through." You let out a small laugh. "I got a first aid kit at home anyways, it's cool."
"Let's go to your home then. I'll help you." He nodded, taking your hand that was on his cheek and holding onto it. He held your hand as the two of you walked to the parking lot.
You two then arrived at Sweet Pea's trailer. Once you stepped inside Sweet Pea was feeling a little self-conscious about it. This was all he had. He felt that he probably seemed like a loser to you. "Uh, I know it's not much but-"
"I love it in here. It feels so homey." You looked around, smiling. This made him release a breathe of relief.
He got the first aid kit and sat on the couch, you standing in front of him. You raised his head by bringing up his chin with your fingers. You then wiped off all his wounds and dry blood to make sure nothing gets infected. You put ointment on the bruise directly under his right eye. Every touch was barely there. Your fingertips would ghost over his face.
"No one has ever been this gentle with me before." He says, breaking the silence. "I kind of like it."
"I don't want to hurt you."
"You could never hurt me." He smirked as you plopped on the couch next to him.
"Are you being all flirty with me because I'm from the Southside?" You teased.
"No, but that just makes you so much more awesome than you already are." Your faces were close. You two slowly leaning in together, finally kissing. It was simple, then Sweet Pea grabbed your face and deepened the kiss. You tilted your head for better access, running your hands over his shoulders. You both accidentally fall backwards on the couch, a giggle escaping you.
"That meant something to you, right?" Sweet Pea looked into your eyes. For the first time in a very long time, Sweet Pea was vulnerable.
You looked up at him in awe. "It meant so much to me." You smiled cupping his cheeks. "And you?"
"More than you know." He leaned down a pressed another kiss to your mouth, a quicker one. "You hungry?"
"Starving."
"Pop's?"
"Pop's."
While you and Sweet Pea were together, Betty and Jughead were planning something for you. "So I was thinking that we could give her something, as a way to show her that she can depend on us as family." Betty said, sipping on her milkshake.
"I like it. What about that camera she likes to use all the time? We can make a collage or something. We'll just get the pictures from the camera, and print them out." Jughead said, munching on a fry.
"But how are we going to get the camera?"
"I have her spare keys." Betty nodded her head. They finished their food and went off to your house.
They got the camera and started to print out the pictures they wanted. They then bought a poster board and glued the pictures on there at Jughead's trailer. "Maybe we should put some other stuff on." Betty suggests.
"Good idea. Let's see if we can find some stuff." Jughead brought out a few boxes of old stuff. Even when your dad was around, you and Jughead were each other's only friends.
They both went through some stuff, but what Betty found was interesting. It was a serpent jacket, one a bit too small for Jughead. With it was an envelope with your name on it. "Jug, what is this?"
He looked at the coat and the envelope. "I don't know." They looked at each other and nodded. Betty opened the envelope, and inside was a letter addressed to you. They both read it. Betty put her hand over her mouth in shock. "What..." Jughead trailed off.
You and Sweet Pea just arrived at Pop's. You opened the door, people turning and staring at you. There were a few people from school there, whispering and pointing at you. You suddenly felt shy, and Sweet Pea saw why. He glared at them, with them avoiding eye contact in return. He snaked his hand around your waist, pulling you towards him. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding in and leaned into him.
"Y/n." Pop said, coming from the kitchen. "Oh, hold on." He went back into the kitchen and brought back a bag of food. "I heard what happened. I made this to make you feel better, and I put in extra in case you came with a friend. On the house. And don't worry about coming in later, you're taking the day off."
You put on a weak smile. "You know me so well Pop." You took the bag and started for the door.
"Oh, and y/n,"
You turned. "Yeah Pop?"
"You are nothing like him, I could tell you that much."
You wanted to cry. "Thanks Pop. That means a lot."
You both walked outside. You were trying to not cry, breathing in and out heavily. You couldn't cry. Not for the second time today. Not in front of Sweet Pea. "You okay?" Sweet Pea asked gentle.
"Mhm." You whimpered.
"You sure?" You shook your head. He brought you in for a hug, resting his chin on top of your head. "It'll be okay."
"Nobody will look at me the same way." You said into his chest.
"Really? Cause I still see an adorable chick that didn't care about the symbol on my back or the tattoo that I have."
"That's cause your tattoo looks hot on you." You whimpered. There was a moment of silence where Sweet Pea froze, shocked at the comment. He then felt you shake from laughter. He soon melted into laughter as well.
"Let's go back to my trailer. Our food's gonna get cold." You both hopped on the bike, Sweet Pea revving it. Before you both took off, you leaned up and kissed his neck where the tattoo was. He turned back quickly, facing you with red cheeks.
"Hurry up." You smiled. He slowly gave you a wild smile, turning back and driving off. When you got back you both ate your food, then it hit you. "Oh crap."
"What?"
"We have English homework to do." He groaned, feeling visibly irritated already. "Don't worry, it won't be that bad. You have me." You both sat on his bed.
You took him through everything. The chorus foreshadowing, the other foreshadows, the gist of what was read, why the literary devises are important and how it affects the audience.
You wrote notes and had him copy them down. He felt a little frustrated that you knew so much and had to explain everything to him. He felt dumb. You could sense that he was feeling like he wasn't smart, and you didn't want that.
"Hey." You said softly. He looked up and saw you crawling to him. When you got to him you put your left hand on his cheek and your right hand on his knee, leaning in and kissing him.
He kissed back, forgetting his frustration. His hands found your hips, pulling you onto his lap. You pulled back for air and pressed your foreheads together. "Pea." You whispered. "What are we?"
He was hesitant. He didn't want you to reject him, but he wanted to be with you. "I wanna be a thing." He said, nervous.
You were overcome with joy. You hugged him tightly and kissed all over his face, making sure to be careful of his bruise though. He fell backwards and you were on top of him. He looked up and saw you smiling. "So do I."
He smiled and laughed. He flipped the both of you, his towering over you. He was about to kiss you when there was a knock at the door. He groaned as you slipped away from him and started for the door. You opened it, with Sweet Pea right behind you.
"Y/n," It was Jughead, with Betty beside him. "We need to talk."
"Now?"
"What, did we interrupt something?"
You huffed. "No-"
"Yeah, you did." Sweet Pea cut you off, pressing himself to your back. You looked over your shoulder and smiled at him.
"Yeah, hi. We're still here." Jughead said. "You need to come to my trailer."
You bit your lip, unsure of what was so important. "Can Sweets come too?"
"I don't think-"
"Of course he can." Betty said. Jughead looked at her, confused and irritated. "She needs all the support she can get." She said quietly to him.
The four of you began to walk to Jughead's trailer, you and Betty in front and Jughead and Sweet Pea trailing behind. "So," Betty said. "Are you two something?" She smiled.
You smiled wildly back, nodding.
"So," Jughead said. "Are you two like a thing?"
"Yeah." Sweet Pea couldn't hold back his smile. "Is that a problem?"
"No, just wondering. Remember, my dad and I will be watching." Sweet Pea let out a small laugh and pat Jughead on the back. Jughead breathed out a laugh in response.
You got to the trailer to see FP waiting for you. He saw you and stood from the couch. "Y/n." He said, then looking at Sweet Pea coming in behind you. "Sweet Pea. Maybe you should wait outside. This is-"
"No, he stays." You said. He looked at you, then nodded.
"Before I tell you this, know that I want you to understand that I was waiting for the right moment to tell you this." He seemed very nervous.
"What's up?" He stared at you, sorrow in his eyes. You looked at Jughead and Betty, with the same look. "Guys what is it?" You smiled, trying to lighten the mood.
FP went to grab something, coming back with a Serpent jacket and handing it to you. "Why are you giving this to me?"
"Y/n, your mother was a Serpent."

Hey here is chapter five. Enjoy!
(Blue's pov)
It has been one month after me and Yellow have got the news, the first week has been nothing but gems congratulating and telling me how "lucky" I am.
I don't feel very lucky.
"Hey blue" I jolt awake from the sound of some gem saying my name. I lift my head a little to look to my left. All I see tons of books, huh I fell asleep in the library.
The grogginess starts to wear off, I look down to a blue screen at I was working on.
I turn the screen on, the time read a quarter cycle till twenty-seven. I let out a groan.
The gem put their hand on my back, I jolt again. "Blue?" They ask.
"Oh, White, I'm going to be honest, I didn't notice you were here" I yawn.
"Ok let's get you to bed" White says. Before I can comprehend what happened, White pulls my chair out from the desk, I quickly stand up which was a bad idea, almost instantly a wave of exhaustion rolls over me.
"I still have to-" I cut myself off with a yawn "mmmm reports" I finish sleepily.
White only chuckles "no, you are pregnant and I am watching over you, Yellow would be mad if you stay up any later. Although all you were doing was sleeping.." White gently pushes me to the side and scoots in my chair.
I grab the screen that I was working on and I put it in a secret pocket in my dress. "I'm ready to go" I say in defeat "I hate how I have to sleep all the time"
"Sleeping is the best thing you have to do, I've seen what happens with food" she says with a hint of disgust.
"Yeah, it's even worse when it comes up" I sigh as we make our way out of the record vault.
White turns to look at me "It can come up" she says, her stone gray eyes go wide.
"Unfortunately yes" I sigh.
We continue down the hall, past the records vault and the medical wing. Out the big blue doors to another set of big blue doors.
"You know you should really have that panel moved" White grumbles as she gets back up from her knees.
I give her a small smile as the doors that lead into my sleeping chambers open, the warm, familiar, and a hint of lavender-scented air hits us.
I quickly walk to my vanity and I grab one of my hairbrushes. I sit down and I start brushing my hair, I look in the blue teardrop mirror. The doors close as white turns on the light to my room.
I can fully see my face, my skin color has turned back to its normal color so I did my hair, but my bags under my eyes are still dark.
I let out a big yawn and my eyes water, I wipe my eyes and I set my blue hairbrush on the vanity, I push my chair out and stand up. I don't even bother pushing it back in, I slowly walk to my dresser and I pull out a nightgown.
The nightgown isn't very long, it only stops just above my knees. I phase away my dress and bra, not caring that White Diamond is still in the room with me. I put the silky light blue gown on and I head to my bed.
I just flop onto the bed face first, I slowly sink down, White is on the bed and on her side just watching me.
"You ready for bed" she says.
I let out a muffled response.
"Blue, sit up" White orders.
I do as she says "I said yes, after years of pink's tantrums I thought you could understand someone talking into a pillow".
I pull the blankets out from underneath her. "And I don't need you babysitting me" I say as I lay down, I pull the blankets on top of me.
"Babysitting" White mutters under her breath, she shakes her head a little "Yellow told me to watch over you, and so I am, I know how protective she can be over you and in this state I can't blame her".
"Yeah but i-" I get cut off.
"In watching over you, and there is nothing you can do about it" White raises her voice.
"I'm not some little weak organic that needs to be constantly watched." I snap at her.
White shoots me an angry look "I-i'm sorry" I lower my head and quickly apologize.
White gets off the bed, she lets out a sigh "I'll send some topazes to guard your chambers, you should get some rest" White walks to the door and turns off the light, she opens the door and then leaves.
I pull the pillow she was leaning on and I shove it into my face, after a few seconds I sit up and hit myself with it.
I shouldn't have said that but just because I'm...pregnant...I shouldn't have to be watched over. I fling my pillow like a disk, it lands on the carpet.
I fall back onto my pillow, I maneuver on my side to face where Yellow would be. I wish Yellow was, unfortunately, a small rebellion has broken out on one of her old colonies so she is gone for a few rotations.
Yellow was never good at diplomacy, well nether was I, when you're a powerful race that conquers planets, there isn't really a need for it. But I happen to be the best out of the three of us.
Which is why I stayed up so late today, I was sorting through the mess Yellow had made. I let out another big yawn, I turn onto my back then to my other side so I can face the wall and I pass out.
Dream World
"Blue" someone familiar yells
I quickly snap up from my position, the back of my head hits something hard.
"Ouch" I wince as I rub the spot with my hand, I look at what I hit my head on, it's my throne, I'm sitting in one of my old thrones.
I then look at my dress, it's my old dark blue one strap dress. I take a strand of my hair, it's as dark as the night sky.
The person that yelled my name smacks my hand with their own tiny hands, I turn to look at them.
"Pink!" I exclaim, I grab her and pull her into a hug.
"B-blue...can-n't breathe" she sputters out.
I immediately drop her, she falls on her but and onto my lap. "Sorry" I say "hey wait, we don't need air to breathe".
Pink smiles at me "well you were squeezing me so tight, anyways you promised to take me to your new colony".
"I did?" I ask.
Pink nods very quickly "yeah you said that once the lazulis are done with terraforming you'd take me there, well it's been a year and they're done" pink says excitedly.
I smile at her, then it dawns on me, was it today...I quickly put pink down on the ground and pull up a screen and I look at the date.
No....no no no... Today was the day that Pink got "shattered" or turned into Rose Quartz.
I stand up almost stepping on Pink, she starts running to the door, she hits the panel and calls for me "come on Blue" she says.
She runs out of the room."Pink" I say as I run to the door, once I get to the door a blood-chilling scream rips through the quiet room.
I frantically try to open the door, but I accidentally hit the panel to hard and it breaks. "Pink" I start sobbing.
I eventually I break down the door with my own hands, I pry open the door and I step outside.
The soft wind blows from the left, I see pink's palanquin in front of me. I start walking towards it sobbing "pink, no pink" I cry harder.
My foot hits something hard, I look down to find not only Pink's shards but White's shards and Yellow's shard.
I drop to my knees, I pick up their shards and I hug them tightly to my gem. "NO" I scream to no one. Tears are pouring from my eyes, but my aura isn't loose.
I hear faint footsteps in front of me, I look up, through my blurry vision I all I see is a pink and white figure. As the figure comes closer I try to stand up, and I'm still cradling the gem shards in my hands, I wipe the tears in my eyes to see a Rose Quartz. No...the Rose Quartz.
"Y-you" is all I say before she tackles me to the ground. The gem shards go flying, and they hit the ground and shatter into even more pieces.
I scream in terror.
She holds her long, pink, blood-covered blade above my gem, "don't worry, you'll join them" she thrusts her blade deep into my gem and through my back and pins me into the ground.
"Noooo" I scream as I quickly sit up. Tears roll down my cheeks, I move some of my still light hair to check my gem for anything, a few tears drop onto my skin and my gem.
I sigh as I see no cracks or any other sign of damage, tears are still rolling down my cheeks. I feel my stomach churn from the stress of my dream, I look up at the sound of my doors opening.
Two topazes run into my room. "Are you *sniff* okay my diamond?" she asks as tears roll down her own eyes.
"W-we heard *sniff* screa-aming" the second one says.
I look around my room to see blue light has consumed everything "i-im fine" I quickly wipe my eyes and pull my aura in "sorry about that, it was just a bad dream"
"Okay, but if you need anything we'll get it for you" the other topaz says, I nod as they exit the room and close the door.
I wipe my entire wet face with my arm, my stomach is still killing me, I fall back down onto my pillow. I clutch my belly with my hand while the other one wonders where Yellow would be.
Stars, I wish she was here, usually when I'd get a nightmare she would sing me to sleep while she'd hold me. Maybe I should try to talk to her, I could send her a message, but I want to see her face.
I sit back up and summon another blue screen, I squint from the brightness but I turn that all the way down, I glide my fingers across the screen trying to call her.
Once the screen starts buzzing, I wait for her to pick up. "Come on, come on, the rebels shouldn't be giving you so much trouble" I tap my finger on my uncovered thigh "well I shouldn't underestimate any rebellion, no matter the size"
I let it buzz for a few more seconds before I hang up "she going to pay for that" I grumble.
"Maybe I shou- no she is probably still mad, maybe I should talk to Steven. No, he's probably asleep or busy" I mumble to myself out loud.
I sigh, looks like I'm not getting to sleep any time soon. Well it's not like a night of no sleep poofed anyone, I exit out of what I was doing on the screen, I decide to contact the chef gems to bring me a green apple and a cup of water.
I switch the screen once more to all the work I didn't do, I read over reports that gems have sent and files about the rebellion. I have some messages from the leaders of the rebellion, but I'm going to read those later.
After a quarter of a cycle, my door chime startles me. I rapidly stand up and I quickly make my nightgown reach all the way down just below my knees. I dismiss my screen and I walk to the door.
I hit the panel as quickly as I can, the doors open with a SWISH as two topazes walk in with my green apple and a cup of water.
"Here I can take them" I say, I try to bend down a little to grab the green apple and the water "thank you" I say as the walk out of the room.
I close the door behind them with my foot, I take a big bite of my apple as I walk back to my bed. I put the large cup of water on the nightstand and I get back in my original position.
I pull up my screen again to get more work done, but the screen flashes Yellow and I nearly choke on my apple.
I pull up the message from Yellow diamond, my heart flutters as I see her face. I push the play button and turn up the sound.
"Blue, why aren't you in bed? I told White to put you to sleep by 18:00" Yellow sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose
I roll my eyes when she mentions the bedtime, I take another big bite of my apple.
"Unless you had a nightmare and woke up, if its that then I'm sorry, I'll be there in a few rotations. Just remember to relax, eat well, drink lots of water, and don't put on any extra stress it's not good for you or the gemlings" she smiles.
I am reminded of what's inside of me as I put my hand on my baby bump.
"Yellow diamond" a gem that is off-screen says out of breath. "What is it Obsidian" Yellow sounds annoyed
"The rebels are closing in, we need you out there" the Obsidian says. A huge BOOM rattles the building that Yellow is in.
Fear starts to seep into me, and anxiety starts to build at the bottom of my stomach.
Yellow turns her head to face the screen, she sighs "looks like I've got to go, if you and White could look over the files for me, that would be lovely. So good night my love" her hand reaches out to turn off the recording.
"Bye" I say to no one. I finish the rest of my apple and I toss it in the bin by my bed.
I let out a mixture of a yawn and a groan. I pull up the time to see that a cycle has passed since I last checked, I let out another groan. I run my fingers through my hair knotted hair.
Should I try to sleep? Maybe I should let my stomach settle? I should drink my water...I pull my hand free from my tangled hair, I turn to grab the glass of water but the cup slips through my fingers.
I'm able to hold the water in the air but glass shatters on the hard floor. "Ah fuck" I say. I use the water from the cup to pick up the glass, I dump the shards into the trash.
I move the blob of water around, I let my hand drop and I try to keep the water in the air. But it's making me tired, so I quickly try to stuff it in my entire mouth and swallow it.
I fall back onto my pillow, I pull the thick blankets on top of me, my stomach makes a low grumbling noise but it's not from hunger.
I groan and I turn my entire body again, to face where Yellow would sleep. I hope she's okay, it sounded like the rebels were bombing the building, we'll maybe they were just trying to break down the wall?
No. They'd never do that, they would try to blow up the building with her in it. What if they do blow up the building and poof her? Or worse....shatter her...
Hot tears form in my eyes at the thought of losing her, I can feel the apple creeping back up to my mouth. I try to keep it down but it's not working, I tear the blankets off of my and I sprint to the "bathroom".
I almost break the panel trying to hastily open the doors, once their open I bolt straight for the "toilet".
I almost trip on the rug that I put in there, I quickly lift the lid and not a moment too soon, I unload everything that was in my stomach.
After a few minutes of clearing almost everything inside me, I get up from my position and I wipe my mouth. I walk over to the light blue sink and I wash my hands and I scoop up some of the water and put it in my mouth, I swish it around then spit it back out.
I dry my hands and sit down on the plush navy blue rug, I wrap my arms around my knees and I start crying.
Why...why am I like this...even after finding Pink/Steven I'm still after and weak, that's all I do, that's all I'm good for. That's why I need someone to take care of me. Cause I can't take care of myself, I can barely even drink water let alone eat, im utterly useless.
I comb my hand through my hair again, but when my finger gets caught on a knot, I just rip it out from my scalp.
Something moves around inside me, I ignore the pain from my head and I unwrap my arms and I let my legs touch the carpet. I carefully lift my baby blue nightgown all the way up to my belly, I drag a finger across my baby bump.
I then drag my nail horizontally across, the slower I go the harder I push my nail into me. I make sure not to break the skin but hard enough to leave a mark. I let out a small yawn.
I wipe my eyes and I pull my nightgown back down to my thighs, I carefully move to the " toilet" and I put my hand on it and I slowly push myself up.
I groan when I get to my feet, I slowly drag my feet across the rug, not even bothering to pick up my feet, I shiver when cold blue tile floor.
I move slowly towards the "sink", I place a hand on the sink and I lean on it for support. I let out a big yawn and shiver.
One of the gemlimgs starts moving. I let out a groan. "I get it, you three are tired, I'm tired too". I let out another big yawn "I-if it wasn't for you three, I wouldn't need to sleep, or eat, or drink. Hell, I wouldn't even do what I just did" I yell at my baby bump.
They answer that with a few more movements. I carefully make it past the sink and to the door, I slam my fist on the panel and the door opens.
I slowly wobble my way to the bed, I pull the blankets back and I lay on the cold plush mattress, I wrap the entire blanket around me to make a cocoon.
I clutch my baby bump with both arms, I let out an exhausted sigh as I finally get comfortable. It takes me a few minutes to fade into darkness and fall asleep, but I do it without annoying thoughts.
"G-good night yellow" I mutter to no one.
If anyone is curious, this is the longest chapter I've ever written, it Is a little over 3000 words! But see y'all next Saturday! Adios.

Tutor (Neville Longbottom x Slytherin! Reader)
Chapter 2
Chapter 1
Notes: I had lot of fun writing this chapter! I hope you all enjoy, again requests are still open! @okaymalfcy
Word count: 3,120 (wOopS)
You and Neville left Professor Sprouts class in a swift walk, you were both well aware Snape wouldn't be at all happy that you two were late for his class. It was like torture for any gryffindor. Especially Neville,
who he took additional joy in terrorizing. Neville has probably lost more points for gryffindor in that class then any gryffindor had in their entire life, including Harry Potter.
You both walked down the cold and drafty halls beside each other, every so often a chill would run down your spine. The only noise came from both of your brisk footfalls and from the harsh, bitter winds outside, with books in arms you walked without saying a word. A few times Neville opened his mouth and looked at you like he was about to say something, but decided against it.
The near silence of the hall was ruined by the sudden noise of another pair of footsteps, they were a lot heavier and slower then you and Nevilles, the loud walkers came into sight when they turned the corner ahead of you. The two were tall, but also quite large and bulky, they wore slytherin robes that were filled with pastries at the pockets and they sauntered down the hall like they owned the school as they snickered to each other. Crabbe and Goyle. Surprisingly there was no sign of Draco Malfoy with them. Not that you were complaining.
You looked up at Neville's face, he watched the two large boys approach him with furrowed brows and his lips formed a striaght line. The smallest bead of sweat roll down his freckled face, it was like he was waiting for them to make some surprising grand gesture, like explode maybe. ‘If they kept eating they way they did, they won't be too far off of it’ you thought. Neville looked nervous, much more nervous than he always did, which was saying something. He rubbed his clammy palms against his robe while you both continued to walk at your steady pace towards potions class and towards the two towering torments.
"Not them, not now" Neville spoke to himself so quiet you just barely heard him. He already had a pit of worry in his stomach from just thinking about the horror of potions class, he didn't need these two torturing him to add to his anxiousness.
You were hoping the two would just pass by peacefully, maybe they were feeling kind or something, but you but knew that wasn't going to happen. They could never just leave Neville alone. He was too quiet to stand up to them, he was an easy target. But you were not.
The two parted from each other, meters away from you , and had a wicked grin on their faces, they made a small gap in between them, almost big enough to walk in between, them but not quite. When they approached they roughly slammed each of their shoulders into Nevilles with the force of a small troll, sending the nervous boy onto his back with a yelp and a thud, his head whipped off the ground. That was going to hurt.
When he fell he threw his books into the air, sheets flew far from the books and they all flew in different directions, they floated to the ground like large pieces of confetti at a party and gently landed all around you while the books landed with a heavy thud, much like Neville did.
“Watch where you're going longbottom.” The two teased together. Their vile tones matched their faces,which were plastered with evil grins.
The two did nothing but snicker and give a nasty look to you while they walked away triumphantly. You clenched fists trembled and your teeth gritted together hard enough to crush a rock. Fuck that, fuck them.
Your narrowed eyes shot to Neville, who groaned in pain as he held himself up with one arm, the other held the back of his head where it hit off of the ground; then they shot back to the large boys, who hadn't gotten to far as of yet with their slow saunter, still snickering to each other. Your blood was practically boiling. Your hand reached for your wand in your pocket like it were a pistol in its holster in an old western movie, you swiftly drew it out and pointed it at Crabbe and Goyle's large feet. You then did something very stupid, something you knew would only end up getting you into trouble, but you didn't care. You whipped your wand in a circular motion and a small red spark darted from your wand and caught their ankles. On contact the spark crackled like a firework and the two boys lost their balance. Their knees wobbled like they were made of jelly for only a second before falling flat on their faces with a loud thump, their thump were much louder then Neville’s, because both boys were much, much heavier.
They laid on the floor and whined dramatically and loudly, like two children who had fallen in a playground. You lowered your wand and reached your arm out to Neville to pull him up onto his feet. His hand was still held on the back of his head after he dusted himself off.
Suddenly, loud and quick footsteps could be heard , looks like Crabbe and Goyles baby whining had attracted someone's attention. A second later, Professor Mcgonagal sped around the corner and froze. Oh shit. You sighed, and in sync you and Neville turned to each other, Neville looked like a deer in the headlights. She took one look at the layer of littered sheets and books surrounding you then looked further to end of the hall to see Crabbe and Goygle rolling on the ground, holding their ankles while wailing in pain. You still had your wand in your hand, it was too late to put it away now. Then she was looking at you and Neville. Well, there goes your perfect track record.
“What in merlin's name is going on here!? Why are the two of you not in class!?" She questioned in a stern tone. Glaring at both of you with her large, angry looking eyes.
Your eyes were set onto the floor like a pair of weights and you took a step forward after a few seconds of silence. You calmed yourself and took a deep breath.
"It was my fault professor, I was very stupid and didn't think about what I was doing"
Your eyes slowly looked up to her as you waited for a response.
"That is still not an answer to my question Miss Y/S/N. I hope I do not have to repeat myself when you explain what happened in my office, but first, you and Mr. Longbottom will clean up this mess while I bring these boys to the infirmary, when I get back this hall better be spick and span, is that understood?" Her eyes still glared at the two of you, all you could both manage to say was "yes miss." before she left.
Once the hall was empty you both quickly began to pick up sheets from the floor and put them where they belonged. Neville stopped and looked at you.
"You didn't have to do that y'know. Stand up for me, I'm used to it by now. "
You continued to pick up sheets as you spoke.
"I know, but i've been waiting to do that since the day I got here though, they're so rude, and they eat all the good apple tarts! So really they had it coming, maybe now they'll know better."
"It was a bloody good spell by the way."
"Thanks Neville" you flashed a smile at him them continued to work
Neville smiled and went back to picking up the pieces of paper in his arms, humming to himself softly.
"How's your head? " you asked, trying to break the silence still picking up and sorting sheets.
He rubbed where his head had hit the ground and winced quietly
"Still sore, but id say I'll be okay in an hour or two. It's become pretty resilient at this point." You both giggled, you did feel bad that his head had to be resilient in the first place. You'd pay 50 galleons to wipe the smile from Malfoy's face for every time he thought he was hilarious by messing with Neville. Or anyone for that matter.
It took you both at least half an hour before you finished, there was still no sign of Professor McGonagall yet.
You both stood in silence awkwardly before your legs started to ache so you sat on the floor against the cold corridor wall.
You looked up at Neville and smiled before saying,
"I'm sorry about this whole tutoring situation, I'm sure you've got much better things to do"
You did feel bad about it, and still quite embarrassed to be honest..
"Oh it's no problem, really. Herbology's easy once you get the hang of it, plus I was wondering, cause I've seen you in potions and you're really good, a lot better than me anyway-" he chuckled a bit and scratched the back of his neck remembering when the class had to evacuate because the fumes from his potion were so potent. "- and I was wondering could you help me with that if I help you with herbology? That way we’re even." He started to bite his nails, gazing up at you with his puppy dog brown eyes while he waited for your response, hoping you would say yes.
"Sounds like a deal to me Longbottom."
You were flattered by Nevilles kind words, it was shown in your face by the light link shade your cheeks were dusted with. For all the effort and hard work you put into school it was very rarely praised or acknowledged, though you were equally as good as other students, who often got complimented on their skills, yours went undetected, skimmed across and ignored. That was until now. They were just noticed, and praised. Thank you Neville. You thought to yourself.
You picked yourself up from the wall at the sight of professor Mcgonagall returning, she looked just as angry as she did before, she signaled for you two to follow her, and you did. Once you arrived at her office, you told her the whole story, and lost slytherin 40 points for your ‘reckless and impulsive behavior’ and landed yourself in detention tomorrow.
You couldn't wait for your house mates to hear about that one. You thought you lose more but seeing as it was 'an act of self defense' it was only 40, though that was still more than you wanted it to be. What was worse than losing the points is that you also disappointed Professor Mcgonagall which is what hurt you more. You had no real friends, your now tainted reputation with the teachers really mattered to you. You were a grade A slytherin student after all.
While this was going on Neville just sat in silence, agreeing as you told the story. He did ask the professor to lower the amount of points you lost, saying he should have been watching where he was going.
"Mr Longbottom I highly recommend you stay quiet unless you want to join Ms. Y/L/N in detention tomorrow."
"B-but professor-"
"That is enough Mr. Longbottom."
By the time the professor gave you permission to leave it was almost dinner time. You usually spent this time in the library with your nose buried in a book, usually about potions. It was much more welcoming than your house table, plus the books never called you "filthy mudblood" like malfoy loved to do.
The corridors were crowded with different students filling the hall with loud chatter and laughter. You and Neville walked side by side.
"I'm sorry you got in trouble, this is all my fault" His eyes were fixed on the ground and his voice had a mixture of sadness and guilt to it.
"Hey no need to apologize" you elbowed him playfully with a smile on your face, which transferred to his face when he looked at you. "Its what us slytherins do best."
"I mean, gryffindor isn't really known for staying out of trouble either, especially with Harry around" He joked.
You both chuckled while you dodged between the older and younger students, like a forest covered in tall and small trees. You wandered the halls with no destination in mind.
"I mean we've got Draco Malfoy, I don't think it can get much worse than that."
"That's fair. "
You chuckled together and continued to converse, about your houses, what it was like in each of them, how different they were. He told you about a wizard in Nepal, who is growing Gravity resistant trees, you thought it was all very interesting, you could see in his eyes just how passionate he was about the subject, his eyes would light up like christmas trees while he spoke about it. Very few people wanted to listen to him talk about it, they usually asked him to stop by now so when you asked him to continue, he didn't know what to do other than smile widely and tell you about goes one day he'd love to go and see them, but his grandma said they couldn't afford it. His love for the subject was one of the most endearing things, you grinned the whole way through his bumbling.
You told him about how people have been trying to use bravery and kindness potions to get into different Hogwarts houses, and how miserably they failed, one potion made someone about to brave, they went to the forbidden forest to show off , and still haven't come out. “Bloody hell, I mean i'd love potion to make me brave, but not that much,” he added
“You are brave Neville, you tried to bargain with Professor Mcgonaggle for godrics sake, if that's not brave i don't know what is.”
“But it didn't work though, you still lost 40 points cause of me.”
“Being brave doesn't mean your ideas work Neville, it means you realise theres a chance they won't but you try them anyway, it was my fault really, I shouldn't have lost my senses. But you stood up for me Neville, that's real bravery.”
“It's the least I could have done for you taking the bloody ankles off Crabbe and Goyle for me, did you see there faces?!”
You both aimlessly walked through the corridors together while you talked, you looked down at your watch and gasped in shock as you seen the time. It didn't feel like you had been talking for that long at all.
"Merlin! Is it that late already!? Neville we better get going to the dining hall, dinners almost over! "
You looked around you, you had spent so much time talking you wouldn't even recognise where you were, you had been walking and talking for so long you didn't know where you had gotten yours too, You both began to retrace your steps as you ran down not populated the corridors you took a few wrong turns, delaying you both even further. You felt your stomach grumble while the cold air around the school hit your face . After what felt like a lifetime, you finally found yourselves in front of the giant oak doors, you both stopped and hunched over to catch your breath. Both of you seemed to be equally as unfit as each other, both of you wheezing and gasping for breath. Not to mention how your legs ached from all the walking. You never realised how big Hogwarts was until now, no wonder that girl from first year still hasn't been found yet.
Once you were able to control your breathing again you pushed open the heavy, creaking door open and you walked in together, still panting quietly. The hall was loud with cheering and talking from all the tables as they ate their food. You had made it. When you entered it quieted down. Loud conversations turned into hushed discussions amongst the gryffindor and slytherin tables. Hufflepuff and ravenclaw continued their conversations as normal, not even noticing you two. Groups of eyes from both the gryffindor and slytherin table set themselves onto you both. You looked at Neville with a nervous smile, he looked to you with the same expression. Soon you and Neville were ready to part ways to your respected house table; your table was already whispering about you while giving sly and disgusted looks your way, seems like they know about what happened, and all the points you lost them. Looks likes gryffindor knew too, they were whispering just as much. Though the looks they gave you and Neville was a lot less cruel and piercing . This was not going to be fun for you.
Before the two of you parted you arranged to meet in the library tomorrow afternoon, after your detention to study together. You said goodbye to each other with a smile and a wave. When you approached your table nobody moved, you walked to the end where very few people were sitting. They continued to stare and whisper, you wondered what they were saying, but at the same time, you didn't want to know. Some even got up and moved away from you to another part of the long table, they fled like you had some infectious disease they were afraid to get. They did know you didn't kill Crabbe and Goyle right? Because their looks could pass for the ones you'd give a magical murderer . You were a mudblood not a monster. Slytherins were always ones for dramatics.
You watched Neville walk over to his table. His experience was very different to yours. All the gryffindors welcomed Neville with friendly and curious expressions, wanting to hear all about what happened today; two of them, who you recognized to be Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas , quickly parted to give him somewhere to sit as they bombarded him with questions, to be fair it was mainly the weasley twins asking the questions, it was also one of the weasley twins who whistled and teased him about coming in with you, which turned your cheeks a light pink and tugged your mouth into a smile. You wish you had that relationship with your house, that lovely friendship. But you were here as normal, on the outside looking in through the glass. On the bright side, you made a friend today , finally. You made a friend. And his name was Neville Longbottom.

Demon of the night
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pairing: brian may x vamp reader.
Summary: its fall when Brian's car breaks down in the middle of nowhere leaving him to walk in the cold midnight air lost. But what happens when he runs into a certain someone..or something...
Warnings: none yet hehehehehehe just some high quality neck licking and probably language?...
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's a cold night in london as brian walks out of the bar he and his band just played at, the cold fall chill making him shiver a bit as he bids his friends goodbye while carrying his beloved red special with him, they all say their goodbyes and head back in for a few drinks, usually brian would join but tonight he just didn't feel up to it, instead he just wanted to get home to his flat and rest. So he sets his guitar gently in the backseat of his car while getting in the drivers side and starting it with little difficulty, the old car has been having some trouble starting up lately, but he didn't think anything of it and just decided to have it looked at when he wasn't so busy with recording and playing.
But he would soon regret it when the old thing finally gives up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sigh while watching all these people walking around the streets at night, deciding which one should be dinner for the night, everyone here seemed so innocent though and you wasn't a murderer...you mostly ate the bad people...like criminals, murders, shit like that.
But as you stand in the shadows leaning against the building, watching these people you couldn't seem to find anyone, you might as well go to the damn graveyard and eat rats. You groan at the thought but it's your only option so you stand up straight, about to leave until someone catches your eye.
If your heart could beat your pretty sure it would be Beating out of your chest right now, the man you spotted was the definition of perfection and pure beauty, and when you saw him smile and wave at his friends you'd assume, is when you felt the connection you was always promised you would feel one day, I feeling you've been waiting for, for over centuries.
You smile at the man as he walks to his car carrying a guitar, his curls bouncing as he walks, and his smile still on his face. You're thoughts trail off as you think of any possible way you can turn him....because he was most definitely your soulmate you could feel it. You frown though once you notice he left...but lucky for you, you can trick that beautiful little mind of his to go wherever you need him to go...and you can follow him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" ah shit..." brian mumbles as his car breaks down, he tries turning the key but it doesn't do anything, he sighs and leans his forehead on the stirring wheel, he decides to try and walk to the nearest gas station, but when he looks up he realizes he's in the middle of nowhere...surrounded by trees and the only light there is, is provided by the full moon.
He's beyond confused, last he checked he was on a actual road...but now he's not. He shrugs it off blaming it on the alcohol in his system that roger gave him before their show. He gets out closing the door making an echo through out the dark forest around him. And that's when he see's someone up ahead leaning on a tree.
" hello!." He says slightly loud, while walking toward the person, the closer he gets the more he see's, and that's when he notices it's a beautiful mysterious looking woman, she was paler then any normal human, and had a smirk. He clears his throat and stops walking when he believes He is close enough.
" excuse me ma'am...but my car broke down and I have no idea where I'm at..or how I even got here...but I was wondering if you could kindly point me toward the nearest gas station." He asks, his voice slightly shaking from being nervous, the woman smiles at him showing off her pearly whites...two front teeth sharper then anyone else's he has seen.
" of course I can its about 20miles back the way you came....but that would be an awful long walk for you." She smiles at him, he gulps and runs a hand through his curls.
" that it would be..." he said, he then looks toward the woman once more. " do you live nearby here so I could borrow a phone?." He asks her gently, she grins and motions him to follow her.
" yeah my house is a few minutes from here." She says while walking up the road, brian sighs with relief and follows her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You smile as your plan was coming together so smoothly, especially since your little mind game worked on him bringing him right to your house you've lived in since centuries, you smile as the dark Victorian house comes in view, as you walk in you smile at him and motion him towards the ancient 1800s looking phone. He looks at it with a slightly shocked look.
" I know it's a little out of date but it still works." You tell him, he nods and begins figuring out how it works. But after a while he figures it out and calls someone.
But he frowns as nothing happens, he hangs it up and looks at you.
" I thought you said it worked?." He said, you look at him with fake confusion.
" it does...unless the squirrels chewed the chord again." You say, you sigh and give him a apologetic smile. " I'm sorry I'll fix it in the morning...that is if you want to stay the night?." You add, he runs a hand over his face with a small sigh.
" well I dont want to walk 20miles at 2am so I guess if you would allow it I could." He says, you can hear the stress in his voice making you smile kindly at him.
" I have a guest bedroom upstairs that I'll fix for you...I'm y/n y/l/n by the way." You introduce yourself with the same mysterious smile that has Brian's heart beating faster and faster,
" brian may...lovely to met you miss y/l/n." He smiles, you cant help but to fall even more in love with the tall man. He was just so handsome.
" likewise...why dont you have a seat while I make you some tea." You suggest, he nods and sits down. Playing with the end of his shirt sleeve nervously. He felt very sceptical about you and this place. After a few minutes the tea was done and you brought him the small cup, he smiled gratefully at you as you sit in a love seat in front of him.
" so y/n...what was you doing out this late at night anyway?." He asks you curiously, you smile and cross one of your legs over the other.
" well...I have a tomcat that doesn't really like to stay in one place for to long." You tell him, he nods, " he ran outside and I was afraid he would freeze to death where it's so cold so I was looking for him when I found you." You explained,
" I hope you find him." He says sincerely, you smile and stand up.
" dont worry he'll come back as long as I leave the window over there open." You say, he nods once more. You can tell how nervous he is. He seems scared as well and that's when you sit beside him.
" what's the matter bri...you seem scared?." You ask him quietly, he sighs and looks around at the ancient decor of your house...the living room walls was a deep red while the curtains was black, the floor's a dark brown wood while the lights was basically candles in old candle holders...but you had a chandelier providing more light then the candles...and your clothing choice was odd...you wore a black gown that came to your ankles and had long sleeves and the chest was cut out but it had a turtleneck. And your hair was left down
" I'm fine...just a bit shaken up is all." He reassured you, you nod and stand up.
" well what gotten you all shook up then?." You ask him, he stays quiet And you decide to fix the guest bedroom up for him. " I'll be back shortly I just have to fix that bedroom up." You smile and leave him alone to his wondering thoughts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brian stands up and looks at the phone making sure if it started working or not, he didn't want to stay here but the walk was ludacris, he thought you was a nice woman but you seemed so off...like you was hiding things from him he needed to know...he felt unsafe and uncomfortable here. And he had many reasons to, like the fact your house looks like it belongs to the 1800s murderer along with everything inside it...including you. He was scared for some reason.
He picks the phone up ready to call john knowing he would be the one to pick it up at such an hour, but like before it's dead silent on the other end, he curses and slams it down. If only he'd fixed that damn car he wouldn't be in this mess.
As he let's out a string of silent curses he feels as if someone is watching him, chills run through him as he turns around and sees a black cat staring at him with yellow glowing eyes. He jumps a bit as it meows at him with a rather deep meow. Even the cat seemed creepy
" there you are maximus I've been looking everywhere for you!." You say cheerfully, brian looks to the window seeing it's still closed, confusion takes over his features as he looks to the cat. If this was the cat you was looking for then is it in here?.
" I thought you said it ran outside?." He asks confused. Speaking his mind while lookingat the cat." And the windows are shut so how'd he get in?." He adds with wide eyes. The sound of your light giggle fills the silence of the house as you take the cat into your arms.
" he got in through the upstairs window...I always leave mine open at night...I sleep better when cold." You tell him, but he can tell that it's a lie...and that makes him more alert.
" let's get in bed brian its rather late..." you trail off as you walk up stares talking softly to the cat, great now he's stuck with a crazy cat woman. He hesitantly follows you though and you lead him through the dark hallway to a door. You stop and smile at him.
" here you are bri...I hope you have a wonderful nights sleep." You say, you set the cat down watching as it runs into brians room. and smile at him, " I should have the phone fixed in the morning before you wake up...so no need to keep trying." You said while bringing him in for a hug, he hugs back awkwardly and when you pull back you grab his warm hand In your ice cold one.
" goodnight brian...." and with that you disappeared into the next room over from his, he let's out a breath and stares at where you just stood with a confused look, you was the most beautiful yet mysterious woman he has ever met...and the fact you felt so cold made him worry a bit...
But he shrugs it off and walks into his room, the room was dark and cold, no lights on whatsoever, just the moon coming in through the open window beside the old bed with knew sheets and blankets, he sighs while taking his shoes off and sitting on the end of the bed, and holding his head in his hands, even though you seemed weird and off to him, you was a nice lady, Especially offering a complete stranger to stay with you. He felt bad for naming you weird but it seem to fit your description.
After closing the window He decided to get some sleep and laid down on the bed and covering up, he was rather tired and stressed over his car...and the fact he left his beloved red special in the car, that thought never leaving his mind. A small Yelp left Brian's lips as he felt something jumped on him, but he calms down seeing it's just maximus. Staring at him once more.
" maximus please dont stare at me...its creepy...just like everything else in here." He mumbles, the cat meows at him and continues its stare down. Brian sighs and closes his tired eyes. Falling asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You pace around your room as you wait for the beautiful man to fall asleep, maximus was on watch for that, its around 4am as you patiently wait for the cat to run in here at any moment, you felt bad for doing this for some reason...but if you dont then you let him slip through your fingers like sand, he wont feel the connection unless you bite him...and once done the two of you will be inseparable.
But if you dont bite him then he could walk away leaving you to feel the unbearable pain that takes over you till the day you die...and you'll only die from said pain. And he...he will live a miserable life and you didn't want that for him. And you didn't want that for yourself so you have to turn him...whether he likes it or not.
The sound of a meow breaks your train of thoughts and a smile appears on your face, you quietly walk to his room seeing him sleeping peacefully, his mouth slightly parted as soft snores emitted from him, his beautifully sculpted face making a sense of love run through your cold veins, he was truly a gorgeous human, and your happy that he's the one who you've waited for all your life.
You walk to him and crawl in the bed hovering over him, he stirs a bit and moves around until he's comfortable, you smile and stare at his beautiful neck, you lick your lips as you bring a hand up moving his soft curls out of the way, once done you lean down ghosting your lips across the warm soft silky skin of his neck, you cant help but to lick the flesh, he moves a bit more and that's when your fangs come out and you bite him, he groans and you moan at the taste of his sweet pure blood, it was the best thing you've ever had, it was better then any other you've had, and that's what confirmed he was definitely your soulmate.
You pull your teeth from his neck and lick the mark you'd just made...the only scare that will ever paint his beautiful skin, you smile and roll over beside him to sleep, he was sweating and breathing heavily as he slept, he would sleep for a few days know as his body would adjust to becoming a demon of the night like you, you rest your head on his chest listening to his heart beat, knowing it will be the only and last time you'll hear it.
So I've been flying a lot recently and there's been some turbulence, but every time it makes me think of blue line and Will (I'm pretty sure will) and how he hates turbulence when flying. Basically whenever there's turbulence ona flight I now think of blue line and how much I love it!
You are absolutely right, anon! Will…hates turbulence. Like. Hates. It. I’m sorry there’s been anything except fabulously calm flights for you, so this happened because your message was very nice and everyone knows how much Will hates turbulence.
“Scarlet, I need you to move your elbow, like, two hours ago.”
“We weren’t on this plane two hours ago.”
“Yes.”
Will glared at him, eyes narrowed and jaw almost obviously clenched, and Killian tried not to sigh too loudly, far too aware of the head on his shoulder and Ariel had slept the entire goddamn flight – even through the turbulence.
There was a lot of turbulence.
Enough that there’d been some kind of proclamation from whoever was in charge of air-traffic proclamations and they couldn’t fly home that night.
Killian was not pleased.
Will still looked kind of terrified.
“You’re going to do damage to your knuckles,” Robin pointed out, slumped in his chair on the other side of the aisle and Ruby’s limbs were everywhere. She’d unbuckled her seatbelt at some point, which might have been at least three quarters of the reason for Will’s white-knuckled grip on the arm rest, and they’d been sitting on the tarmac for what felt like several days.
Killian was going to dramatically sigh himself to death.
Maybe then Ariel would get her head of his shoulder. He was only slightly worried she was pinching a nerve. Or twenty.
His whole body hurt, bumps and bruises and one very solid check that earned that rookie in Minnesota two minutes, and they’d been on the road for over a week, a string of games that felt far too long, particularly when they weren’t winning any of them.
They hadn’t won any of them.
Arthur must have set a record for whiteboard damage.
He was probably pacing in the cockpit.
And Killian really just wanted to go home and see Emma and Matt and they hadn’t actually told anyone anything else yet, but thinking about that made his heart doing something absurd in his chest and he really hoped it was a girl.
He kept telling Emma that.
It made her laugh.
“Shut up, Locksley,” Will hissed, pulling Killian back into the moment and the general frustration of a team that was probably not going to make the playoffs. “This is—“
“—An overreaction,” Ruby mumbled. She didn’t lift her head off Robin’s knee, voice just a bit muffled by league-mandated dress pants, but Killian was fairly certain she still managed to glare at all of them at once. “And you are talking way too loud.”
Robin hummed in agreement. “Screaming more like. Sometimes I wonder who’s the actual child in this hockey family. Gives Matt a run for his money.“
“Yeah, that’s super funny, Locksley,” Will said. “Did you not feel what was going on before? They tried to fly us into a hurricane.”
“Eh,” Killian argued, and he’d apparently moved his body too much if Ariel’s not-so-quiet grumble was any indication. “Sorry, sorry, Red,” he added, shifting further into his seat, but that didn’t help the pinched nerve or the bruise on his left hip. He really wanted to make out with his wife. “Go back to sleep, Scarlet’s just whining.”
“Too late,” Ariel sighed. Killian groaned when she pressed the heel of her hand into his thigh, propping herself up, and she looked vaguely traumatized by that. “Oh shit,” she gasped. “Shit, shit, shit, Cap, did that hurt? Did you get hit?”
“We just played a hockey game against a team that had one of the worst starts to its season in, like, ten years.”
“Is that supposed to be an answer?”
“He’s saying Chicago was pissed about how their season went,” Robin explained, and Ruby had sat up, but her legs were perpendicular over his now and they were all far too comfortable with each other.
“And that meant they had to try and kill Cap?” Ruby asked.
Killian rolled his eyes. “No one was killing anyone and there were no hurricanes involved in anything that happened tonight. It is March.”
“There can be hurricanes in March,” Will said, but he was met with several different types of laughter and something that sounded like an actual guffaw out of Ariel.
“No, there cannot, Scarlet,” Robin said. “And Henry just took Earth Science, like, two years ago, so my meteorological knowledge is unquestioned.”
Will did not looked convinced. He still hadn’t let go of the armrest.
“We have been on this plane for hours,” he grumbled, huffing loudly and crossing his arms and it was a pretty spot-on impression of Killian’s two-year-old kid. “And the whole thing shook. That was…that was not fun.”
“Scarlet, were you freaking out?” Ariel asked, a distinct lack of humor in her voice. Will flushed. “Oh my God, you were, weren’t you?”
“No.”
“No?”
“No.”
“Liar, liar, liar,” Ruby muttered, and Killian glared hard enough the he felt like he was disciplining all of them. Ruby laughed at him. “Dad face.”
“That’s not a thing.”
“I promise it is. Emma does it too. But, you know, the mom version. It’s super cute. Also, the word you were all looking for before was nor’easter. So, clearly, I’m the one with the science degree.”
“You do not have a science degree,” Robin said, hooking his chin over Ruby’s shoulder and it couldn’t have been comfortable when she shrugged in response.
Will groaned again – a mess of limbs and emotion and the absolute, deep rooted fear of turbulence that even a decade in the NHL hadn’t been able to shake. “God, I hate all of you,” he sighed, snapping his jaw when Ariel tried to reach around Killian to tug on his very loose tie. “Leave that alone, A. I don’t need to choke before all the air pressure gets yanked out of this cabin.”
“That is not how air travel works,” Killian reasoned.
“Do not try and dad me, Cap. It’s not going to work.”
He opened his mouth to disagree, something about he wasn’t dad’ing anyone, whatever the hell that meant, but Killian absolutely knew what it meant and he was far to busy answering his phone to care about anyone on a plane that seemed as determined as Arthur to set several different, equally frustrating, records.
“Did you have that on the whole time?” Will shouted, jumping up and Ruby mumbled something about seat belts, Scarlet under her breath. He flipped her off.
“Whoa,” Emma muttered. “I was not entirely prepared for the parental advisory on this conversation.”
Will blushed again, lips pursed and breathing heavy, and Killian wasn’t sure if Ruby or Ariel was laughing louder. Arthur yelled from wherever he’d been pacing. And probably breaking whiteboards.
Killian widened his eyes. They were still at the restaurant – chairs on the tables behind her and he could just make out a clearly sleeping Dylan hitched over Eric’s shoulder while he tried to stack stools on top of the bar.
Henry and Roland were quite clearly playing hockey, the sound of what might have been an actual puck hitting against the wall and it was a wonder they hadn’t done permanent damage to the walls yet.
“Are they hitting my walls?” Ariel asked sharply, but Killian brushed her off and his heart was doing that stupid pounding thing again.
A girl. They were definitely going to have a girl.
“No parental advisory, Swan,” he said, smiling despite the pinched nerve and whatever Ariel was asking and how freaked out Will was by several normal meteorological activities. And maybe Killian had kind of hated the turbulence too. “Just Scarlet being irrational. Par for the course.”
“Yeah, that’s kind of what I figured.”
He couldn’t quite hold back his laughter – Robin shaking underneath Ruby when he nearly cackled a few feet away – and Will looked vaguely scandalized. “That’s rude, Em,” he mumbled. “A hurricane. They wanted to fly into a hurricane.”
“I don’t think that’s what it was called.”
“Told you,” Robin said. “Thank you, Emma!”
She grinned, eyes impossibly green and hair practically shining in the dim light of the restaurant and Killian was a giant, sentimental sap, who thought even more absurd, sentimental things when he hadn’t kissed his wife in a week.
His pregnant wife.
HIs pregnant with their second kid wife.
“What are you doing with your face, Cap?” Ruby asked knowingly and, yeah, definitely too comfortable together.
“Nothing,” Killian said quickly. Ruby arched an eyebrow. And some voice was making some kind of announcement, Arthur shouting to be quiet, but they were a plane full of children masquerading as professionals and every single one of them groaned as soon as they learned they’d be stuck an extra night in Chicago.
“Damn,” he sighed. Emma was still smiling. “Did you know already, love? Is that why you called?”
She shifted in her chair, a body colliding with her side in a flash of dark hair and something that looked a bit like a jersey. “Maybe I was just trying to talk to you. Also is your hip ok?”
“What happened to your hip?” Ariel screeched, at the same time Will and Ruby muttered gross. Robin was texting Regina. Killian could hear her phone through his phone.
God.
“Nothing, nothing, Red, I’m fine,” Killian promised, and possibly, lied, and Emma widened her eyes in disbelief. “Fine, Swan. Hey, Mattie,” he added, the blur of colors jerking up and he probably should have been asleep, but he’d also probably been trying to play Roland and Henry in whatever game was currently destroying the restaurant walls.
“Hi,” Matt shouted. He waved with both hands.
Killian was going to walk home.
He could probably get there before they let them off this goddamn plane.
“I had a hunch,” Emma said, answering a question Killian almost forgot he’d asked. “About the nor’easter. That’s what it’s called, Scarlet.”
“God, I told you,” Robin yelled. Killian shook his head when Emma’s eyebrows pinched. Matt was still waving.
“Whatever,” Will scowled.
“That’s the spirit,” Emma laughed. “But also part of the reason why we called and why we’re not sleeping like some other slightly better behaved children in this restaurant.”
“And because he wanted to cheat a hockey,” Roland added, voice not quite even when he groaned at whatever Henry did, but there was more laughter and Regina chastising both of them, and Dylan was some kind of professional sleeper. Apparently. He probably got it from Ariel.
Her eyelids were starting to flutter again.
“Anyway,” Emma said pointedly. “I’m ready to use our kid’s inherent cuteness to our benefit.”
Killian arched an eyebrow, but he could feel the smile on his face and his heart should probably be studied at this point. “That so?”
“Yes, we practiced.”
He needed to look up how long it would take to walk home.
Will let go of the armrest.
It was a miracle.
Emma nodded once, something that felt like amusement on her face as she tugged Matt onto her lap, and his entire expression changed as soon as he saw so many familiar faces. Ruby might have melted. Or sighed dramatically. She did, at least, move, stepping around Ariel and perching on an arm rest to get into the phone frame.
And that probably would have been enough for several professional hockey players to mock, if they also weren’t impossibly charmed by the kid on the screen in front of them too.
“Hey mini-Jones,” she said softly, and Matt tried to jump through Emma’s phone.
“Thanks a lot, Rubes.”
Ruby was definitely melting. “I make no apologies for how much your kid loves me. You score on, Rol, mini-Jones?
“Hey Dr. J,” Will said quickly, ignoring Ruby’s clicked tongue at the interruption, and Killian rolled his eyes. “You use that move we practiced before?”
“Oh my God, he’s not even three, Scarlet,” Killian groaned, but Will didn’t pay any attention and Roland was shouting again.
“It’s cheating, Uncle Will! You can’t go for the ankles like that!”
“What are you teaching them?” Ariel gaped.
Will made a face, but Killian had some fairly strong suspicions and there were probably bruises on Roland and Henry’s ankles too. “A child,” Robin said again. “The most child.”
“Childish,” Emma corrected. “That’s the word you’re looking for. And you guys are distracting me from my point and my plan, so can you just be charmed by my kid for, like, two seconds and then we can all try and sleep.”
“Maybe,” Killian said. Will gagged.
“What’d you practice, Dr. J?” he asked.
Matt’s eyes widened, a hint of nerves, and Killian’s eyes met Emma’s. She smiled. “It’s ok, kid,” she said, tugging lightly on the side of his jersey and the ‘C’ on his shoulder was almost too obvious.
He made a noise, not quite an agreement because he wasn’t quite three, but he tilted his head slightly and it was a bit like watching a replay of several decades before and Killian barely heard Ruby’s quiet laughter over the ringing in his ears.
“A record,” Matt yelled. “Chic…chich…Chickaaago had lots of snow and no planes. And there were snowmen!”
“We looked at pictures,” Emma explained, and Killian’s laugh was shaky and a bit emotional, but Ruby might have still been melting and there was a snow job win there somewhere.
“That was good, Dr. J,” Will grinned. “Thanks for the facts. And the interesting pronunciation attempt.”
“It’s a work in progress.”
“Ah, I’ve got no doubt.”
“A record, Swan, really?” Killian asked, and she was already nodding.
“Oh yeah, something historic this February and more snow this month and some other things about global warming that I figured were way too heavy to talk about with a toddler, but we looked up some stuff and Henry was almost interested in the information before Roland reminded him that he’d won the first round of hockey. And we’re horrible influences because they made some kind of bet about rules I don’t understand.”
“They wrote them down,” Robin said. “Gina made sure if they were going to keep doing this, there was some kind of plan. That way when they shout at each other about cheating, we know what they’re talking about.”
“Proactive.”
“I’ve got some dad-type experience.”
Emma hummed, eyes flitting back towards Killian and he was going to sprain several face muscles. “I’m fine, love,” he said, answering a question she hadn’t asked. She held onto Matt a little tired.
“Long week” she muttered, and they were finally starting to get off the plane, Phillip shouting for them from the back of the cabin and he refused to sit near any of them ever, something about sleep and voice levels and it was more than fair.
Killian nodded. “Yeah, it was. Tomorrow, love. Thanks for the facts.”
“Figured it might be a good distraction.”
“Good instincts.”
“Something like that.”
“I love you,” he said, and Will had the good sense not to make any noise.
Emma’s eyes definitely got greener. “I love you too. Tomorrow. No snow. Except maybe the snowmen.”
“Did you promise to build snowmen, Swan?”
“There had to be some give and take in this practice, Cap.”
“Ah, of course.”
She shrugged, but she was still smiling and Matt appeared to be on the cusp of sleep already, exhausted once his job was done. “Tomorrow,” Emma repeated, and Killian didn’t really sleep that night, but he didn’t have to walk home, and there wasn’t any turbulence on the next flight.
There were, however, several detailed drawings for snowmen and photos on their next off day and no one got bruised in the rather extravagant snowball fight they staged in Central Park.
