Because Dapper is a warrior and makes dark humor jokes, I think a lot of people (both fandom and character) forget that he's not only the egg that has been attacked the most by the code, but he's also the egg that has been kidnapped the most (three times). It does affect him, but he rarely lets it be seen.

Dapper's early days started with his dad hiding him in different holes in the ground out of fear someone would break his bed. He's been attacked by several islanders (Slime, Vegetta). His death by the code was particularly brutal, and it occurred after another targeted attack on the same day. He, alongside Bobby, were the last eggs to be rescued when kidnapped at the underground dungeon, having to wait a whole day while his other siblings were freed. After his nightmare, he was kidnapped and cracked just two days later.

Dapper's seen as a beacon of hope for both eggs and parents, and when he lost his first life, it was a reminder that any of them could die. And Dapper may say he doesn't fear death, but all these events do affect him. He's talked about how he's tired of always being in survival mode, how sometimes he just wants to build. He didn't like being left alone so soon after his kidnapping by ElQuackity. He feels guilt for dying and is uncharacteristically timid after these near-death events. He has written--and is still writing--books full of information for Bad in preparation of his death. As one of the original eight eggs, he remembers each of his siblings that have passed and mourns them every birthday.

Dapper is a little warrior and a mad scientist and a grim reaper in training, but he's still just a kid. A lot of people were talking about how his abandonment jokes triggered Tallulah (and they did) but less acknowledge the reason why Dapper made those jokes. For the longest time, Dapper's only family was Bad. Let the baby throw a tantrum when his dad leaves for an hour.

i like stonathan and fics where they're friends but i also feel like the cheating goes from bad to worse in those fics. like if they become friends after it's not quite so bad but then i do feel like there's more of an argument for jonathan having a moral/good friend obligation to tell steve what actually happened. but in fics where they're friends pre s2 it's honestly kind of evil of jonathan to do that then just let nancy lie and never say anything himself. i've seen both cases in fics and it always really bothers me.

ya like. i sort of see it as, if they're friends/interact friendly, maybe Jonathan thinks Nancy told Steve? It's not the best start to a relationship, and maybe they just don't talk about it really (they seem to avoid their issues together) So I see Jonathan, if they were friends, being super awkward about it and avoiding Steve(who wants to be around their girlfriend's ex that she cheated on with you?), but not realizing Nancy hadn't told Steve what happened. so that's how it slips out, if Jon talks to Steve after to apologize? and it causes more issues between the three of them and probably causes issues between Jonathan and Nancy too.

but if they are friends/friendly and Jonathan knows Nancy didn't confess.... gross and nasty and bad and on the verge of unforgivable for Steve. It's Nancy's responsibility but you're right there's some kind of obligation/morality in either encouraging her to tell Steve or doing it for her. Because if they were to try to form platonic relationships with Steve, the betrayal would be that much worse if he found out later.

Stonathan AND Stancy either romantic or platonic both require Steve to know what happened. Idk I think it'd fuck Steve up if he were to become Jon's friend post S2 only to find out later Nancy cheated with him. There's be a lot of confusing emotions and betrayal.

At this point in canon no one has told him and no one seems to feel at all guilty about it (because canon doesn't believe Steve was cheated on, even though getting together with someone less than two days after breaking up with your almost year long partner is still pretty hurtful). Nancy and Jonathan seemingly sometimes make fun of Steve behind his back (something I've only really done with friends exes who we don't see anymore, not someone who you still see pretty regularly. Nancy still at the very least sees around town but possibly more with him giving Dustin/max rides?) that scene with them at hop's cabin where Nancy says Steve has grown up doesn't seem like it's 'someome we both know does stuff that annoys us but it is kinda funny' complaining and more 'lets laugh about your stupid ex we don't like' (which is fine to do, just. Maybe I wouldn't do it about a guy who saved my and my sibling's lives separately at least twice that I'd see because he's still friends with my sibling's friends...) It's not like STEVE was the one that broke NANCY'S heart.

At this point I don't think the monster hunting trio will be able to have a good friendship, just because it would be too lopsided with Nancy and Jon not respecting Steve, Steve and Nancy having too much history, and Steve and Jon not liking each other.

hank trusts doc so much its like second naturw it makes me sick. i cant even imagine an au or anything where doc uses this against it because doc knows how valuable that trust is and Could Not break it. hank being this impossibly powerful conduit for the madness so much so that the world itself is irreparably damaged and the employers have to get involved and yet it can be controlled just by a single hand gesture from doc. like its insane. its INSANE. hank doesnt kill For her. doesn't obey his orders half the time either considering how many times its gotten itself killed. but it does trust her with its life and its direction in a way that drives me actually bonkers

I tend to like to listen to music and imagine scenarios about Rangers and characters, the only issue with that being sometimes I hear a song turn on and immediately jump ship from that scenario to start a new one that fits the song that started playing

also re: the triad (I really don't know what to call them I rlly picked a baddd last name to try and ship name) I desperately want ballard and chase to be the messy hookups in cars type but they're so just not. I can't say it doesn't fit chase because look at chameron fwb arc. but thats the thing he can't have two domineering sapphic fwbs it just doesn't work. but ballard and chase are also a lot more compatible on a moral ground I don't know. their relationship vexes me. I can clearly imagine them together but their getting together story is weird to me. also because chase is just soooo violently down bad for cameron from the start its hard to imagine him going for anyone else. I think it would be harddd for him I think his religious aspect would make him struggle with the polyamory bad.

honestly my advice for people questioning if they're aro is kind of the same as my advice for people questioning if they're trans which is do less worrying about whether or not you inherently fall into this arbitrary category and do more considering what you want in and from your life. like ultimately deconstructing societal ideals of what relationships (or gender) should be like and figuring out what you want them to look like in your life is what matters and whether or not you experience romantic attraction is kind of immaterial
