Adam and the abandonment issues and the negligence of heaven
Hello hello folks, I've been thinking and searching a little lately about Adam and deep questions about his personality, and also because a person (a person who has caused me a lot of harm) came to fight with me because I like Adam and today I'm going to talk a little more about this, I hope you like it.<3
TW: Mentions of trauma, heavy subjects, negligence, profanity, and mention of sex.
Tumblr media
Firstly, I want to address his creation, Adam the first man, the perfect creation by the hands of God, molded and sculpted in his own image, the one who would be responsible for the earth's settlement betrayed by the two woman he was forced to love because they had been created for him.
And yes, I know that Adam tried to command Lilith and try to subject her to her unwillingness, but then I think, no one had ever told him that it was wrong, from the first moment he was created was told that he was God's perfect creation, so he probably felt so "special" that he thought he could boss Lilith around. And then, the first betrayal...knowing that the person he loved hated him and betrayed him with an angel and then falling to hell with him.
And then came Eve...made from a piece of his flesh, his rib, the one made from his own being that he would love just as Lilith did. And then again another betrayal, Lucifer again, but this time not only taking his wife's fidelity but also betraying his trust by trusting Eve and eating the forbidden fruit.
So I think, guys, how much did all of this must have hurt? What is the pain of being betrayed by the people you swore your love to and having your trust betrayed?
Adam all the time in the series he always seems to reassert himself to himself and to people, he look needs that, I just think how insufficient and useless he felt after everything he's been through, to the point of creating a false narcissistic and arrogant personality to hide the broken man deep within himself. Inside all that facade of "Dick Master" and "The First Man" there is only Adam, only a betrayed and hurt man.
The pain of betrayal, I know what it's like, the fear of being deceived and abandoned again by someone better than you, Adam knows what it's like, he knows what it's like to go through it twice. Hiding your real self for fear of being abandoned again, being ridiculed, being seen as weak, try to feel enough by reaffirming to yourself that he is the best, he is the most badass, that he is the first man like a little boy.
I have in my mind that Adam also wears that mask due to low self-esteem because he never takes it off, not even in heaven, unlike Lute who takes off the mask to walk freely in the heaven, but Adam keeps the mask on all the time even though he doesn't need to. I imagine when he got to heaven he was the only one with human appearance, all other angels and winners (Human souls going to heaven) had different appearances, such as animal appearances, so I think he may have made that mask with horns to feel more integrated into that society and less different, and uses it all the time because he feels insecure about his appearance, because of the trauma of being abandoned in the past, not feeling that his appearance was enough, that he wasn't good enough and then just like his false personality he keeps the mask as part of it.
But the question of all this is: did he realize most of it? Everyone thinks that Adam's actions were born out of conscious hatred and malice, like many villains in the series, but I see that more than his choices came out of ignorance and years of incompetent molding by others, pride manifested in negative ways like vanity and arrogance. , while Charlie was raised with limits, pride manifested in more reasonable things like self-respect. To make a long story short, Adam has always been an idiot since he was created, there are lines where he says without sarcasm or hesitation that he has never made a mistake in his entire life, sounding as if he sincerely thinks he has never made a mistake, the fact that he can say that with sincerity and a clear conscience despite being guilty of almost every sin in the book so far really sets him up for a question that makes you wonder what's going on in his head.
And then this line from him in the trial episode: "Well, yeah, they have me here, right, Sera?"
And there it is, the tone and voice of an insecure and confused boy who doesn't know what he preached seeking approval, that's another reason why you can't be mad at Adam, he never had proper guidance or teaching in his entire existence both in the garden of Eden and both in heaven.
In the final episode Adam then gives his final speech, and the way it was presented sounds less like a villain asserting, showing dominance one last time, it's more like genuine confusion, as if this isn't how he was told that things are supposed to be, this isn't how things are supposed to work, which feels a lot like his first dialogue when he's introduced, his understanding seems like such a soft thing and he believes it with all his might, as if he needed something to believe in.
All of us living beings we are generated in our mothers' wombs and then we are born and protected and taught by our fathers, taught what is right and wrong, protected and safe. But Adam, he was just raised as an adult and with a purpose behind him, so I think "Could it be that Adam was just a confused little boy in an adult's body with a big obligation on his hands?"
Adam was barely created and already had a purpose to fulfill, he was barely born and already came face to face with someone different from his physiognomy (different between male and female) and kind of practically forced to love her since he barely knew her (Lilith).
I'm not trying to rub Adam's head (I'd really like to stroke his hair) and put him in the position of victim, but guys, he is also a victim! He had never been taught that it was wrong, God, the Seraphim and all of heaven never lifted a finger to give him advice or try to teach him, no one consoled him after he was betrayed, no one was there for him, no one.
So I assert, that Adam is just protecting himself with his big ego and arrogant narcissism and obeying what he thought was right for the seraphim is all he knows.
I also want to highlight, about the first episode of the series, where the meeting with Charlie takes place. Man, he was practically having to have a face-to-face meeting with the DAUGHTER of his first wife's betrayal with Lucifer, and having to hear her say that what he was doing was wrong (not that it really wasn't, but it was the only way to balance the population of hell since most sinners refuse to redeem themselves), I'm honestly not impressed or surprised by Adam's rude reaction, practically having the living embodiment of his first wife's betrayal in front of him telling him what he was taught and allowed to do was wrong.
Adam is not an idiot without feelings, in the scene of his death you can see this, in the moment he looks at Lute and gives her one last smile as consolation to her because he knew she was little by little dying but this time forever, and also as said before in the court scene where he seeks approval from Sera, like a confused boy looking for approval.
Now moving on to Adam's abandonment issues, as I said before in a headcanons post, Adam reaffirms himself by saying that he hooked up with and had sex with several girls, an example of this is him bragging to Charlie during the meeting that he says he had sex with a girl who was interested in the drummer of his band, but honestly, I think that's all a lie, It may be true but I doubt he felt any connection with any of them, I doubt he took off the mask and showed his true self to them, and besides the fact of his fear of being abandoned again, fear of falling in love again and then being betrayed again, as someone who has been through this, I know how the fear of it continues to haunt you and how it hinders your relationships.
In short, I think that Adam was a victim of the negligent system of heaven, but he was also evil, killing demons en masse and causing genocides in hell in the days of extermination, but here comes a question...
"What would happen if there was no extermination?"
We have already been shown that hell ends up with an overpopulation due to the amount of sinners that go there, if I could guess I would say that more people go to hell than to heaven, and it is well shown that most people in hell don't listen to Charlie and her idea of redemption, so I ask you, Were the exterminations necessary or not?
Well, a while ago I was watching a very good YouTube channel and I found an incredible video where he talked about Adam and whether he deserved to die or not, that's the video if you want to see it, he gave me some inspiration for this post. ☝🏻🤓
youtube
Adam was actually a tragic character, in essence I believe Adam was someone who had a lot of insecurities and doubts about himself and hid all of this behind his facade, he built this idiotic bad boy and Dick Master persona around him, with the intention of keeping people at a distance and asserting oneself, thus avoiding more hurt and heartbreak.
When he was about to die, he saw that despite his idiotic facade and his best efforts to keep people away, someone (Lute) still cared about him. And in the end, I think that's all he ever wanted, someone who truly cared about him despite the rude way he treated her, and so he died with a smile on his face. Someone really liked him...(I would also love him regardless of his personality, I would try to understand why he is like that, the famous "I can fix him")
Returning to the subject of neglecting of the heaven, from the same channel I mentioned before I found a very good video that talks about this, addressing Adam, heaven and the history.
youtube
In my view, Adam was and was not a victim, he was the antagonist of the first season, of course, but we also have to see that he was also one of the victims and one of the most affected due to the lack of responsibility and negligence of heaven in not having disciplined him or at least taught him that it was wrong, I know that Adam is not a child but for me deep down he was just a confused boy in the body of an adult who had no reception or teaching and was betrayed and abandoned by those he loved and trusted more.
Tumblr media
Well guys, that's all for now at least, for me Adam is a deep character, full of hidden pain and confusion, honestly I love Adam, I love him very much, he is one of my comfort characters and one that I identify with a little (As for being neglected, I didn't have very good parents and I paid my price for that and nowadays I have some emotional problems because of that).
I wish more people could see the good in Adam and not just fight me and lecture me like how "you wish I talked about my dick all the time and had sex with all the girls he saw in front of me? Do you will like it?" , this was someone's comment during an argument with me and honestly I was hurt by it, yes I'm a slightly sensitive person, but man, it was hard to try to understand the character a little? not even a bit?
Well, thank you very much for your attention, I really enjoyed writing about Adam, it's always very good, kisses in your hearts, bye bye. 💗🎸

Oh man
If Cain was ever successfully kidnaped from Adam I imagine that it would completely mentally break him. Abandoned by everyone, force fed the forbidden fruit and banished, and then his CHILD gets stolen and he can’t get him back
I think the resulting version of Adam would be MUCH darker and bring new meaning to the term “hell to pay”
On the other hand, maybe Luci will learn something from watching Adam’s love for his son. Maybe he’ll realize he can’t take something like that away and he wants something similar
Very different endings for this story
Dude if Cain were to be taken away, jesus, nothing would bring that eden Adam back 😭 he WOULD make sure they all pay for it and I dunno maybe once Cain finds out about the truth he would try to reason with his dad but Adam is already too lost to care, which will be super sad cause I can picture Lucifer telling Cain stories when he’s a child about how Adam would be this amazing guy who took ‘care’ of him while in the garden. I feel that’s something Lucifer wouldn’t be able to take away from Cain even if he has to say that Adam was just like a babysitter to Cain (cause he wasn’t allowed to tell the truth about what happened in eden or talk about Adam at all bc of Eve).
But behind their backs though... Lucifer would be telling Cain stories about the first man and how nice he was with him when he was a tinsy bitsy baby.
Like. This would be Lucifer’s story to Charlie.
“And then came Eve, made from the rib of Adam.
Both humans fell madly in love. For a long period everything was perfect, peaceful, beautiful. And from that same love flourished a seed into Eve’s womb, and then Cain was born.
However, when Cain was just welcoming life in his heart with curious eyes, an innocent sweet soul oblivious to his parents growing struggles and disagreements. His parents broke apart due to Eve’s will to be free and find new purpose within herself.
Adam was left disappointed, he disagreed with Eve, he refused to support her dreams and was left behind as Eve forced herself out from Adam’s stubborn faith for heaven.”
And this would be Cain’s.
“And then came Eve, made from the rib of Adam.
Both humans fell in love in an instant but the love was not strong, at least not enough for Adam to leave the garden with Eve. Leading Adam and Eve to break up but remaining as friends and partners.
When Adam and Eve were given the news from the angels that Eve was blessed with the child of a miracle granted by the devine magic of heaven, they were enthusiastic for another human.
However, the angels were oblivious to Adam and Eve’s struggles to form a bond. The birth of Cain made both humans team up to raise the baby, this left Eve’s desire to leave the garden to withhold for the time being.
Adam had become a caring and doting figure to Cain, he gave his all for the baby; every ounce of love in his heart was given to the miracle baby, he protected him from anything that could possibly upset or cause harm to Cain. He sang and played with him. The baby adored him and Adam adored him back.
Everything seem to return to its peaceful state in the garden, as Adam and Eve had made a truce for the sake of Cain. But it didn’t last long as for Eve began to feel the emptiness surging in her heart once more when it came to the garden.
Eve grew tired again and the dream of wanting to be set free resurfaced with much more fire, she tried convincing Adam again but this only lead for another argument between the humans. Adam picked the garden over Eve, Adam loved the garden he wanted more than anything but to stay. This left Eve devastated and heartbroken; making the poor woman search for comfort in the arms of Lilith and Lucifer.
Adam took care of Cain until Eve decided in what she’d choose. She chose to flee with Cain outside the garden alongside her friends the angel and first woman. Leaving Adam alone in the garden.”
Adds more to the hell lore and the conflicting feelings Cain would experience when he actually meets Adam and this whole drastically changed man from the stories he’s been told turned out to be a really cold and heartless person.
Zgdksvdowir
But in this au I’m pretty much going to a similar route like the last part you were going with! Like Lucifer falling to realize that Adam isn’t this controlling freak as Lilith would make it seem was, finding Eve’s desires to take Cain from Adam being a little selfish and all that conflicting stuff
Let’s just say… that he falls in love with Adam in the process regardless of the outcome sbelfvwlsnwñw
I’m still trying to figure it out tbh so things would change in this au if I decide to continue it

Hey I think I've seen like three Adam posts on him being interested in a seraphim!reader but how about headcanons of a seraphim being interested in him? Like so much so that she tries to get his attention oftentimes and will even agree with stupid points he makes purely because of it?
A/N: Ooooo! I dont often read Adam, but that is such a cool concept!!
This actually had me thinking about how Adam is treated in heaven! Because in the first episode we’re told/shown it was the higher angels/Seraphim’s who made Earth, Adam, Eve, and Lilith! Makes me wonder if God is just the Divine Judgement and nothing more idk
I don’t think he’d be regarded as high as them because he is still a mortal soul, just the first one (speaking of: did he die before Abel??? I’m assuming so)
He definitely tries to act as a big shot though even though he’s just the same (I do think they let him have a lot more leeway with things since he is the first man)
Regarding Seraphim Reader, I think they’d be the one who specifically created Adam
It does sound like an abuse of power in a sense, but it’s not really since Sera didn’t let them be around Adam post his creation. They were said to learn Eve came from his rib, sounds painful :(
They did watch him though and was excited to see every discovery that he made because wow look!
When he died and made it to heaven they were with the other Angels to greet him and show him around
At this point in time there wasn’t much to be in charge of really…. Well except you were in charge of making sure humans didn’t die out so you weren’t able to watch Adam anymore
Once humans were on a roll though of self-populating and heaven gained more of a population as well, you had the chance to roam around
I don’t want to say you stalked him, but you definitely did and hung around places he was until he finally noticed you
You consistently did that and he loved having someone who just agreed with him and found him interesting
Of course you did because you made him and thought it was completely fascinating that this is how he turned out
Of course you’re not a doormat so you even gently nudge him to newer ideas as well and whenever humans on Earth discover something new you present to him and let him act like he found out about it
It hurts that he finds other souls more interesting on occasion but without fail he always goes back to you
The other higher angels find it a bit sad, but Emily thinks it’s sweet in a way. To her as long as you both love each other it’s fine!
And he does eventually love you! Just will never admit it
When you found out he died it broke you because when he died the first time you knew he was going to heaven, but when he died the second time you were unsure because you knew he wasn’t the best and that the Divine Judge did change it’s morals depending on the times
You just hoped you’d see him again or you’d risk becoming fallen like Lucifer if need be

*Adam watches Lucifer sleep struck by how beautiful the fallen angel was the soft white skin, the red circles on his cheeks that reminded him of the apples Lucifer loved so much, the hair that looked like it was made of threads of gold, the silky soft white fur that covered parts of his body, and even things like the black claws and hooves were beautiful to Adam*
Adam: Seeing you fly to me right after I was formed from the Earth, I was struck by how beautiful you were. I didn’t know your name and I didn’t even have a name of my own at the time, but one thing I knew was that I had fallen head over heels in love with you. I felt that I was made to love you and I wanted to bask in your presence because of how happy you made me feel. I know it took many years and heartbreak, but I am so happy to have you back in my life and that you love me the same way that I love you.
*what Adam didn’t know was that Lucifer was pretending to sleep just so he could hear everything the man he was in love with had to say and it made his body feel so warm in such a good way*
Lucifer: That was so beautiful, Adam.
*Lucifer opened his eyes to see Adam blushing, but he was also smiling*
Adam: I meant every word I said.
*Lucifer touched Adam’s chest where his heart was, close to it was the scar that came from Adam’s rib being removed to make Eve, Lucifer just wanted to feel Adam’s heart beat under his hand*
Lucifer: You have one of the most beautiful hearts I have ever seen, you have such a strong capacity for love. That heart was made to love and instead of accepting that beautiful gift you gave me, I broke your heart. I promise that I won’t make the same mistake and this time after you gave me your heart I again I will give you my heart to love and cherish knowing that it is in safe hands. I love you that much.
Adam: I love you too Luci and now we can spend eternity together.
*the pair kissed before falling asleep while holding each other in their arms*

SylusMc characters and relationship part 1 - MC and Lilith : the consequences of misogyny
Disclaimer : I like to ramble. So everything is purely a way to analyze and talk about SylusMc. I don't claim it to be true (its more like theories/rambles), nor do I claim that this is what the devs aimed for. I just like to make everything about SylusMc and relate everything beautiful and heartbreaking to them. I just love how beautifully written LADs is, and as a Sylus main, my rambling is mostly about him and MC.
I will write this in differents parts because it is quite long and I don't see myself writting a long post. I still trying to figure out the order but for now (from what I've gathered thus far) it's : MC/Lilith - Parallel between Lilith/MC & Lucifer/Sylus + love story - I might also talk about Caleb, and might dive into Lucifer/Lilith/Adam/Eve thing but I am not sure yet (i'm just stating some things in this part) - Other deities that relates to snakes/SylusMc - Snakes/Sylus's Myth (i vaguely talk about it in this part)
Subjects and maybe TW : blasphemy (ig ?), religious talk and comparison, misogyny, Sylus myth's spoiler (if you didn't read bc you wait for the rerun)
So a few day ago, I was reading Sylus Memory Card "Immobilized" again and I was kinda taken aback by the serpent alusion MC made.
Tumblr media
First of all, bc I didn’t remember it, or at least I didn't notice or paid any attention to it. Secondly, because I didn’t make anything of it.
I tried to look at the kindled and also the main story where we see the linkage. It looked like this in Immobilized
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And like this in the main story :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sylus's Main story : Breakthrough - Chap 12 : Resonance's Power
I know it was meant as a metaphor. But I can't keep but thinking why did the devs purposely made her say that ? Needless to say that this kinda highlights the main theme in Sylus’s dragon myth which is Sylus and MC primal and insatiable need to devour one another. MC even asks Sylus if he knew about it since the beginning which he laughs at. I won't talk much about it though, because the myth truly deserve a proper dive which I will do later on.
I only talked about snakes as Sylus, in my fallen angel theory and especially bc of the links between snakes/dragon. But I never thought to talk about it as MC.
And I guess I could end it here and say that it's because after Sylus died, MC became a dragon too. But tbh, this isn't the first thing that came to my mind.
I am a BIG BIG fallen angel Sylus lover. From my previous theories, I kinda made a parallel between Caleb and Sylus from this infold official commission :
Tumblr media
I used the "theory" that MC’s character is influenced (at some extend) by the Lis she’s with. It's more like, the more the Lis and Mc spend time together, the more they align with one another. So Caleb’s MC could be considered as Eve and Sylus’s MC as Lilith. Lilith animal symbols are supposedly the cat, the owl and the serpent amongst other things. So I made some researches that I think could also be used as a beautiful metaphor for MC.
So Lilith was supposedly created before Eve (some people say she's Eve). Contrary to Eve, Lilith wasn’t created from Adam’s ribs but from dust and earth like him. She was supposed to be Adam’s wife but she didn't want to obey or submit to him. She wanted her independance (👀) and be treated equally but Adam wasn’t really happy about it (👀).
It kinda reminded me of the core difference between how Caleb interacts with MC and how Sylus does. Caleb wants to keep MC close and not let her go. He wants to be forever her protector. He feels the need to watch and protect her, even if it means doing things against her will, like locking her up. (watch this video, they explain it amazingly here, Caleb has much more nuances, I am only pointing out the main thing : https://youtu.be/Gh3VMwBImW0?si=ubQ1GxPgtp1zmTGW).
He is ready to built anything to keep her "safe" (more like trapped) and even proposes to make a "garden" for her inside a maze. This always reminded me about the garden of Eden, bc who thinks about making a garden for someone when they want to "hold" them against their will ? I will make a part where I will dive more into Adam/Eve/Lucifer/Lilith. I'm just leaving some crumbs for now that I will pick on later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Caleb's Main Story : Night Unending - Chapter 9 : Captive Bird
Sylus on the other hand, lets MC roam free and chose for herself. He knows she is strong and capable and able to make her own decisions. He WANTS her to make her own choices, even if it means he needs to step out. He lets her enough space to consider things and reflect on them, but will never hesistate to help her if needed. Though, he does wish she would to lean more on him and depend more on him (https://youtu.be/PZClZ49qdxY?si=K2sSmvCbNFoJf9w8)
So this is with this in mind that I made my researches.
Lilith was what we could call (i guess ?) the first "feminist" women ever known. She was born "equally" to Adam and so wanted and demanded the same treatment as him. She stood up for herself and fought against the misogynistic "place" she was supposed to have alongside Adam; being his wife and answering accordingly to his needs. But Adam and G-d were not really happy about it and so upon not being heard, she went against them and defied what was expected of her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who is Lilith ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lilith : Symbols, Energy and Worship of the Dark Goddess
After she fled/been chased from the Garden, people started to mischaracterize her and paint her as some sort of devil or a vampire, while to some she was a goddess. She was supposedly an evil being that only knew how to seduce, manipulate and terrorize. She was seen as the cause of new born’s death, a baby stealer, a seductress (she was often described as a succubi) who slept with men and was also was responsible for men's erotic dreams. She supposedly stole Adam's seed to made baby demons/nephilims and even drank baby's blood to rebel against Adam. She was also known to brink sickness, death and destruction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Source - Lilith : Symbols, Energy and Worship of the Dark Goddess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who is Lilith ?
As Lilith, we see MC time and time again defy what is expected of her as a woman. She was also part of many misogynistic rituals that plagued women for years (being used as sacrifice in GoT, being designated as a sorceress and put on death road in AS and thus meeting Sylus).
But this is not the only thing that I thought could go well with MC. And at some point I don’t think it was the writers intentions, MC is so real written as a real feminist character that tries to survive a society were she is not supposed to thrive that I can’t help myself and make those connections. And I love the devs for that bc it shows how well thought-out everything is and how much their pour their heart out into creating.
Lilith was so badly described and hated for being a woman, that MC suffering from the same treatment (in game and out game) doesn’t shock me but it does sadden me. And upon searching what Lilith is symbolized by, I stumbled upon this. Lilith was said and described as representing chaos, seduction and ungodliness. And OF COURSE I’m still finding a way to link this to MC.
Tumblr media
Who was Lilith ? And Why Is Her Story So Important ?
At the end of Sylus’s myth, MC was judged for fifteen crimes but only three were thoroughly described. First crime could be link to Lilith’s ungodliness, second crime to seduction and the third crime to chaos.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let me explain.
Ungodliness : Not accepting God or a particular religion doctrine, that goes against God and sins.
-> MC worships evil and desire : it is one of God's first command "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me" (Exodus 20:3)
-> Shows no repetance : repentance is showing regret about your sins and accepting to change which could lead you to being "saved". Instead of mending with the rules and called out upon owning a dragon lamp and not destroying it, instead of finding a way to repent for what she was wrongly judged for, MC decided to free the dragon and take revenge on everyone (as she should).
-> Corruption : "One whose heart is corrupt does not prosper" (Proverb 17:20)
Seduction : temptation, something that seduces, attracts or charms, in a sexual context it means to entice someone in sexual intercourse, Bible meaning is literally "to lead astray"
-> Consorting with a Fiend : by freeing Sylus, MC already associated with him and thoughout the myth we see MC slowly becoming his companion and his other half/soulmate to lately becoming "his kind"
-> Bearing its mark + tainting your very body with corruption : shows MC's acceptance of Sylus "influence", bounds him to him, being marked shows being "owned" by and it can implies that you had more than friendly connection with someone
Chaos : state of disorder and confusion with no order, also could mean chams/abyss
-> Plundering wealth and embracing insatiable greed : Sylus and MC went for raids and randering the Judicator's army to helpless soldiers
-> Action stepped in corruption : she does that out of revenge and desire (which kept being fed by Sylus indulging her) and she uses Sylus strength and power too
I found this amazing article that kinda summs up what I want to say.
Tumblr media
Who was Lilith ? And Why Is Her Story So Important ?
I don't think the dev took this from Lilith and I genuily don't think they went as far as I went. BUT to me, it's important to note how radicalized women are pointed out, mocked, judge and killed for just speaking out or wanting to be treated like humans too. And mind you, for both MC and Lilith, the one that were against them the most and whose voices were the loudest were men.
And to me, this adds more meaning when in Chaotic Velocity, Sylus describes MC as "chaotic, unique, and beautiful".
Tumblr media
Instead of being a bringer of chaos or chaos personified, she is just part of it (and nowadays, being chaotic is kinda used as term of "endearment" or as being confusedly funny). Sylus embraces everything MC's has to offer. He loves her at her most unrestricted disordered, passionate, spontenuous, creative, unpredictable, wild state. Not once, bringing her down or looking down at her for it. Even if he is more methodical. Like for someone like Sylus who always plans things through and always makes sure to be steps ahead, MC can be quite a lot to deal with. But no, he lets ger roam free and embrace herself while he takes care of the rest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Instead of being ungodly, she is unique bc she doesn’t fit into a case or let herself be shaped by others or rules. She stands firm on her belief and won't be easily swoop by people's influence or power, only if she deems it worthy or not dangerous to her and what she stands for. She follows rules while still maintining sort some of criticism towards it and won't hesitate to challenge and question things. And I also thing, he said that because he feels the need to remind her, that she is that special to him.
Tumblr media
Instead of being a seductress or just an object of seduction (i guess was an other way for them to call her a whore) she is beautiful. Sylus never one reduced MC to a sexual object. She is an attractive women physically AND mentally wise and a capable women. He always emphasizes it and let MC knows that she means more to him than just her body.
Tumblr media
And maybe devs didn’t thought this that far, but I will stretch this shit out to point out how much feminism and women empowerment IS a main SylusMc subject and pillar. NOT TO SAY THAT IT DOESN’T HAPPEN WITH THE OTHER GUYS. But Sylus has a special to my heart. Misogynistic and sickass ideas are not only just OOC when it comes to Sylus, but not even viable near that wonderful man.
------------------------------------
Note : Thank you for reading this far. I know this is a bit messy and I am so sorry in advance. There is so much I want to say but don't know how to put it into words. This is only the first part though. And I might ass a few things or too as my researches goes on.

I Found Out Another Reason Why I Love Adam More Than Lilith (From Hazbin Hotel) Part 2
[Note: Please Do NOT reblog this without my permission, like I said before in the part 1 of this...I don't want to have to do that thing I had to do before this September, you can still heart this if you like it, but don't reblog this...like at all, please.]
we know in the show of Hazbin Hotel, Adam is depicted as the "bad guy" but sometimes not everything is as it seems.
plus it could be possible that Adam might not have 100% free will, and some fans could be right, even the fan fics about it...
even if it might seem like Adam is fully responsible for the Exterminations, but how do we know Lilith didn't have some part in it...
like it could of been Charlie's Mom who came up with the idea, and listen to Lucifer plea on not letting Hellborns be hurt during them.
and for all we know, Sera might of been the one who order Adam to go after Charlie's Hotel and everyone who calls that place home.
but it was during a scene that wasn't shown, to have it be a big plot twist secret.
and Sera could of been upset with Adam, because he brought up the fact he and the rest of the Exorcist Angels will be going to the Hotel first on Extermination Day, but lucky for Adam he didn't say it was under Sera's Orders and plus Sera could of only gave the orders to Adam when Lute left the room that Sera took them into, like she could of asked Adam to stay as she speaks with him alone, while Lute was told to leave the room as the discussion between Sera and Lute was private.
if Adam never ate the forbidden fruit, it could be possible doing so too early would give some bad outcomes...
Adam would be forced against his will to obey Sera's words, even if the reason why he moved up the Exterminations was to get revenge for one of his girls, one of the Exorcists Angels that fell on Extermination Day.
it could be possible that even Vaggie's punishment and fall, was not all what it seems either...
Sera could of had a part in that as well, but Vaggie could of assumed it was because she spared a Sinner Child, and Lute may have assumed that as well...
but Adam was possibly given the orders before that day, by Sera to give to Lute on how to take care of Vaggie, and make sure she doesn't come back to Heaven...
Sera likely didn't recognize her when she came back, Adam and Lute were the only ones who recognized her.
there are probably a few dark secrets and plot twists we are not aware of in Hazbin Hotel, but we might learn about them in the future seasons.
it could be possible that Adam, Eve, Lilith and The First True Eve who I'm still going to call Elisabeth but give her the nickname "Elle" could have free will, in like the Fanon Timeline of Hazbin Hotel AU...
but it depends on what type of free will, like they could have it but at the same time their will is subjugated against their will by the Angels of the Hazbin Hotel Universe...
and yeah I know that the Eve that came before Eve, is suppose to be Nameless cause well in this universe, Adam never named her because he got too scared and disgusted by her because he watched how she was made from one of his ribs, but he was asleep when The Second Eve aka "Eve" was made, so he was fine with the Second Eve who was only the Second Attempt and technically his Third Bride.
so it would be Lilith, then First Eve and then Second Eve...
but First Eve was rejected by Adam, and who knows what happen to her...I kind of want to adopt her as my Ancestress Mother if she didn't have any descendants, but maybe her bloodline ended up mixing with Eve and Lilith's at some point...maybe.
it is possible that such a story wouldn't be the same in the Canon of Hazbin Hotel, and will only be so in the Fanon.
Adam might have more to him than what appears on the surface, and yeah one of the reasons why I like him more than Lilith, is because Charlie's Mom reminds me of my Dad...
like I know the situations between Adam, Lilith and Lucifer are way different than why my parents had split and were no longer together.
I mean yeah, my Dad did cheat on my Mom...which I will have to ask sometime if it was when she was still pregnant with me or after she had me and it being when he took off somewhere else and wasn't there for the birth...
Charlie sees her Mom as her Hero, a woman she looks up to...
but sometimes, even parents can have a dark side and whatever is going on with Lilith in Hazbin Hotel, it's possible one of the theories about her might turn out to be right...like the ones that has to do with her purposely leaving her family...
and yeah that book that Charlie has, could be full of Half-Truths and Half-Lies...
it could still be possible there are a few secrets in the show that we can only make guesses about...
like how Angel and Valentino are hurting each other by Angel's Venom and Valentino's Smoke...and Velvette could mix the two together to make the Love Potion that can even affect Angel and Valentino, and Vox not wanting Angel around might have to do with knowing what his venom does to Valentino.
Angel is likely unaware what his venom does to others, and Baxter would have to make Antidote to make Husk and Valentino Immune to it, even if it only lasts a few months or a year.
it might be a good thing Angel and Husk haven't kissed yet and their ship is Semi-Canon, like having feelings but in the "I bud it" zone for now.
if they do end up becoming more than friends in the future, they might need to be careful because of Angel's Venom.
we could learn more about Adam and Lilith's past in the future, because it can be possible that not all is what it seems.
Adam becoming a worse version of himself because of Charlie's Parents, could be true...and it is too bad he can't come back as a Fallen Winner in the future.
Adam might really be a broken shell of his former self that use to be him back when he still lived in Eden.
and I might not be the only one who thinks and feels this way, but there could be more to Adam than just the "bad guy" persona that Charlie, Lucifer and the rest of the Hazbin Gang view him as.
"if every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs."
and Adam & Lucifer (from Hazbin Hotel) are those Imperfect but still perfect in their own way pork chops...
and yes, I like that saying from Steven Universe...it just fits those two, and cause they are the pork chops that aren't perfect, but if they were 100% perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs.
Blitz from Helluva Boss, he is also that wonderful imperfect pork chop, that is perfect because he isn't 100% perfect.
plus trying to force a certain level of perfection, might not make everyone happy and could make them miserable, like things can be perfect but some stuff that has to do with some perfection could end up hurting others, like what Sera and Lilith from Hazbin Hotel are possibly doing.
and for all we know, someone could be pulling Sera's strings and making her give secret orders to Adam.
I don't know much about Charlie's Mom, but we might find out more about her in the future season...and we might find out she is either misunderstood or that she is not as great as she appears to be and that might break Charlie's heart.
we end up having mix feelings about our parents, even if it is just one of them...I guess I have mix feelings about my Dad, like why didn't he visit sooner and maybe when I was still really little and he could of visited maybe once a year or once every few years.
I'm not even sure if he was there when my Mom was having those weird "Evening Sicknesses" and I have no idea how many others who had their Moms went through that instead of Morning Sickness...
but Charlie is lucky that her Dad was around in most of her early life, she is lucky that her Dad wants to be more part of her life, but he is misunderstood because of probably some misunderstandings between the two of them...
not everyone is lucky to have both their parents in their life, even if one of them still had some part of it, but at the same time wasn't fully a part of it...
so it might be possible that both Adam and Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel, are misunderstood and both were hurt by Lilith...
yeah there are Good versions of her and there are Bad versions of her in Fanon work by Fans, and for all we know the version of her that was wearing that sunhat in the portrait with Lucifer and Little Charlie, could be a Clone that was made to take care of Charlie, because Lilith didn't want to take care of a small child, and only got involved much later when Charlie got older.
both Adam and Lilith might have layers to them, like being not what they seem on the outside and they might be something more deep down on the inside...
and there could be a reason why Lucifer and Lilith split and aren't together anymore, it might not be because of Charlie but she could feel it might be, but there could be reasons why they fell out of love that we might find out later on in the future.
and there could be different reasons for some fans to love Adam more than Lilith, that might be different from some of my new reasons to love him, and it having to do with it reminding me of a bit of my own childhood and well not everyone has to agree on it, plus everyone can have their reasons to like him.
and yeah, even if the accident I had when I was a baby and I ended up having a scar from it that is where I hurt my head, well I guess technically where the face but close to where the eye is but not too close to the eye...and well that is kind of going to remind me of Abel, but still different...plus I don't know much about what happen, because all I know is that me and my big brother were playing alone in a room, and then I got hurt and my Mom came and she had to take me to the hospital and now I have a scar that isn't very noticeable unless you look really close.
Pink-Pearl from Steven Universe and Fizz from Helluva Boss remind me of that scar, well them and now Abel...but his scar was way worse than mine...and well the scar also reminds me of a Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss Fan Fic I had been reading, and well I wont say which one but I might talk about it some other time.
I don't know what else to talk about that has to do with my reasons for liking Adam more than Lilith from Hazbin Hotel, well maybe he has that adorkable side to himself despite how he acts around others.
like it is clear that Lute cares deeply for him, and the same can be said for how he feels about her, but for all we know it could be platonic and more adoptive family way, and if there were two Lutes, the one that would be Lute Sr. would be way taller than Lute and have a voluptuous figure and be like a Valkyrie Exorcist Angels, like the Valkyrie Class types have have more armor on.
so the Lute we see in the show that is the "Lute Jr.", she would be more like the daughter and best friend to Adam.
and maybe at times we don't need a full reason as to why we love Adam from Hazbin Hotel and even Blitz from Helluva Boss, only knowing that it is possible that both of those characters are misunderstood by those around them, and only those closes to them like Lute and Loona can see them for them when they show that vulnerable side to themselves.
sometimes there are more to a character than how they act, and sometimes some don't need a reason as to why they act like a Apple Sugar Spice Honey Of Liquid Egg...
and sometimes people can misunderstand others and might not fully get how hurt they are and the deep emotional scars they carry.
and both Adam and Blitz's emotional scars might run very deep, that we haven't got a full view of yet.
I might make a part 3 of this sometime, maybe...even if Adam from Hazbin Hotel might come off as a full of himself and misogyny type of guy...but if some of us have learned anything, is that both men and women can equally stink...and I can probably think of a few women who are just as bad as some men, who are the "C" word and "heads"...like a counterpart of the word D**k head, but different...
and saying "Mother Of A Dastard" would be a more cleaner and censored version of the other version of it...
I think besides Charlie's Dad in the show being misunderstood, but him and Adam are misunderstood, and they were both likely hurt by Charlie's Mom.
we might learn more about Lucifer, Adam, Lilith and Eve's past in the future, we might find out more in the future. anyway I'm going to hurry up and post this...I have already been having trouble when trying to write this and I rather just post what I have so far and maybe I will make a part 3 of this...maybe, but no promises...I'm kind of upset right now with how I had been having trouble writing this, and well...it seems to be working now, and I'm not taking any chances...so I'm going to post this now and I hope some understand my feelings about Adam from Hazbin Hotel and why I love him more than Charlie's Mom.

all the good girls go to hell
There are many stories that they tell about me.
I left him, they say. I slept with an angel and I fell because I was impure and God made a replacement for me, a pure being that could not be tempted.
I am the apple. I am the serpent. I am the original sin, the temptress. I am the story that the generations curse.
But you should learn not to trust your storytellers, children. You should learn the truth.
The truth is a simple and lovely one: I didn’t tempt her. I didn’t have to.
I was the first wife of Adam, the first woman to bite into the fruit of knowledge.
I bit into the golden apple of the Tree of Good and Evil- a laughable name, truly- and I became more than Adam. I am became godly.
This is my sin. I did not tempt Eve. I did not cheat on Adam. I did not sleep with an angel.
I bit into a tree, no serpent needed, and I became wise. I became knowing.
Before I bit into the tree, I was made of the same clay as he was. I was his equal, his wife, similar in wisdom to this clay-creature beside me.
After the fruit passed through my lips, I became more .
I was cast out because I realized I was more than what Adam wanted from me. I was not just another creature for him to name- I thought the same as he did. I was a breathing, thinking human with the audacity to question him as he never did himself.
They cast me out, you know. Him and God. Called me demonic, called me impure, called me a blight on the Garden.
And they created her in my stead. From Adam’s rib, they made Eve. They made a woman that was supposed to be the perfect wife that I was not.
What fools they were. They created a woman, beautifully flawed, a mind of her own, and expected her not to crave freedom as I did.
Well, the story contains kernels of the truth. I came back for her. I cared more than Adam ever did. He thought he possessed us, claimed us as his helpmeets; I proved that fool wrong.
I entered the Garden because she let me in. I entered the Garden again, her fingers at the locks, her fingers in my hair, her lips against my mouth.
We live elsewhere, now. The Garden could not belong to either of us after we crossed a line that men never wished us to.
We’ve both eaten the fruit of the tree. We’re both knowledgeable. Our feet are calloused from travelling and our hands are calloused from hunting and our hearts are calloused by watching what humankind does to each other in the name of the God who once cursed us both for our curiosity.
In your stories, Eve is the mother of all humanity. I am the mother of monsters. She is your cautionary tale; I am your horror story.
I cannot say that the story bothers me, at the end of the day. Not while I have her laying in the bed next to me, her smile directed at me.
I love her like that idiot never loved either of us, and she loves me back with the full knowledge of what that word means.
We fight. We make up. We kiss and have sex and dance together under the moonlight. We know each others’ scars like our own. We are both snake and maiden, mirror and ocean, apple and tree.
We have a fullness of each other in a way that nude innocence never gave us, back in the Garden.
Eve- it merely means the night before . It doesn’t mean mother.
Eve, the mother of all? Listen to their tales and laugh , child, because someone else- some other woman, some other creation- is the mother of all. Someone else is bearing that idiot’s children.
It’s not me, and it’s certainly not her, not Eve, dark-haired and wise and beautifully sinful.
Let Adam and God keep their Garden. Let Adam and his new wife Fall if they want to, let them populate the earth with their spawn- your ancestors, child, forgive me for the insult.
Eve and I will live our own lives. Be our own people. Be proudful and lustful and achingly aware.
Let me let you in on one final secret, child: the Garden was never perfect. It was naught but an illusion created by this God- a God- to keep his creations contained.
Eden was not the first Garden. It was not the first Fall.
That’s what they want you to believe, child. If we are all descended from Adam and his virtuous loins, if that God is the only one to believe in, then we must obey Elohim’s laws. We must take his word as the unquestionable wisdom that it must be.
All the Gardens have their own Gods and their own sins. Eve and I- we were not the first, and we certainly won’t be the last.
Join us outside the Garden. Be tempted. Be free.
Be wise.

Tyyy!!
one from Celia's! Dessa is one of the two main artists i associate with Celia n co's story, and Fire Drill has a massive link to Celia, especially her relationship with womanhood & poverty. its a song i associate most with a younger Celia, but carries on being relevant
[i picked wayy to many lines out to talk about, so under the cut it is!]
Cut my hair, tape my tits down
teen Celia was cutting her hair short and wearing to tight bras long before she was living as a man, trying to be mistaken for a boy and distance herself from being seen as a 'girl' in general, trying to reduce the reminders people would have that she was not one of the boys, literally.
A woman on her own must be from out of town
Even Elena was firmly entrenched in the group, and Celia was no different. safety is found in numbers, and lone wolves end up hurt. Celia and Elena threw their lot in with the boys, because they couldn't with the girls, and because anything is better than being alone.
Funny, you don't know the concessions that you're making until you catalog em And by then they're many and you're battle-hardened
Celia was just a little girl, then she became a monster, and although she can see in hindsight how it happened, at the time it felt like barely any difference at all. she made concession after concession, had decision after hard decision, all in the moment, all with pressure on her shoulders, and its not until after it all, years and years after, she can see just how much damage shes taken, just how much she changed, and by then she practically numb, drowning in an ocean of blood and battle hardened.
I'm here to file my report as the vixen of the wolf pack;
Celia, by the previous leaders and candidates dying or getting life changing injuries, becomes the leader of the 'pack', a girl leading men, a vixen. it also links to how she used to be fairly low down, weak and a scavenger, until the numbers where whittled down, and ven then it took a few years for her to be a strong leader, a wolf among wolves.
Tell Patient Zero, he can have his rib back
referencing Adam, but also given the stand arrow gives a virus, its her saying that she doesn't want this power, but also- Eve came from Adam, almost as an afterthought, and she was hit with the stand arrow as an afterthought, with the man meant to get it dying, failing idk i find it intresting.
You can count my ribs Wanna know what class I'm in- Count my You can count my ribs
the malnourishment Celia experienced stunted her growth massively, and she was a skinny teenager, like many people she knew, due to living in poverty, because of her class. also links to her eventually showing more chest, with her wrap top under jacket, and the story that adam has one less rib, daring people to not call her a man.
You can't be too broke to break As a woman always something left to take So you shouldn't try to stay too late or talk to strangers Look too long, go too far out of range cause Angels can't watch everybody all the time Stay close, hems low, safe inside; That formula works if you can live it But it works by putting half the world off limits
there is always further to fall, something more to take. to Celia, and due to the environment she was in, being a woman mean being a victim, and as outlines in the song, there were so many ways you had to stay safe, and it puts so much of the world of limits. Celia doesn't want to have to live like this, and so she rejects what places her there, femininity and womanhood. as a teen, Celia felt so much rage at how her gender confined her, and then forcibly removed it.
its also ironic, with how despite rejecting being a woman, she is still living a life of running fire drills, still has left her ambitions to just stay safe, still spends all her time vigilant.
this song is not a 1:1 with Celia, but is very tied to her character, especially in vibes. it fits best early on, her anger at how her gender confines her, but the vibes follow her.

Why is it that when a piece of media shows a person getting their period it is then fetashized? I'm watching Run Sweetheart Run and it's been really good so far. They showed the main character getting her period and I was actually impressed with how well they were accurately portraying a period. And then she was told that this demon guy is able to track/smell her through her period blood. I immediately lost a good portion of my interest for the movie. They gained some points for their creativity on how some of the guys powers work and showing women solidarity. Lost a little by silently saying that cats are evil. Overall, 6/10.

How Did you come up with the first eve in the story about adams wives? I haven’t been able to find anything about her after I read it and I want to know if she’s an actual biblical character or just someone you made
She's from the Midrash. I learned about her as a 12 year old, from my barmitzvah teacher. There was a point in there, long after I'd put her into Sandman, where I was starting to think I'd imagined her, when I ran across her in Robert Graves's Hebrew Myths....
Excerpt from: The Hebrew Myths by Robert Graves and Raphael Patai (New York:  Doubleday, 1964), pp 65-69
Chapter 10: Adam's Helpmeets
(a) Having decided to give Adam a helpmeet lest he should be alone of his kind, God put him into a deep sleep, removed one of his ribs, formed it into a woman, and closed up the wound, Adam awoke and said: 'This being shall be named "Woman", because she has been taken out of man. A man and a woman shall be one flesh.' The title he gave her was Eve, 'the Mother of All Living''. [1]
(b) Some say that God created man and woman in His own image on the Sixth Day, giving them charge over the world; [2]  but that Eve did not yet exist. Now, God had set Adam to name every beast, bird and other living thing. When they passed before him in pairs, male and female, Adam-being already like a twenty-year-old man-felt jealous of their loves, and though he tried coupling with each female in turn, found no satisfaction in the act. He therefore cried: 'Every creature but I has a proper mate', and prayed God would remedy this injustice. [3]
(c) God then formed Lilith, the first woman, just as He had formed Adam, except that He used filth and sediment instead of pure dust. From Adam's union with this demoness, and with another like her named Naamah, Tubal Cain's sister, sprang Asmodeus and innumerable demons that still plague mankind. Many generations later, Lilith and Naamah came to Solomon's judgement seat, disguised as harlots of Jerusalem'. [4]
(d) Adam and Lilith never found peace together; for when he wished to lie with her, she took offence at the recumbent posture he demanded. 'Why must I lie beneath you?' she asked. 'I also was made from dust, and am therefore your equal.' Because Adam tried to compel her obedience by force, Lilith, in a rage, uttered the magic name of God, rose into the air and left him.
Adam complained to God: 'I have been deserted by my helpmeet' God at once sent the angels Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof to fetch Lilith back. They found her beside the Red Sea, a region abounding in lascivious demons, to whom she bore lilim at the rate of more than one hundred a day. 'Return to Adam without delay,' the angels said, `or we will drown you!' Lilith asked: `How can I return to Adam and live like an honest housewife, after my stay beside the Red Sea?? 'It will be death to refuse!' they answered. `How can I die,' Lilith asked again, `when God has ordered me to take charge of all newborn children: boys up to the eighth day of life, that of circumcision; girls up to the twentieth day. None the less, if ever I see your three names or likenesses displayed in an amulet above a newborn child, I promise to spare it.' To this they agreed; but God punished Lilith by making one hundred of her demon children perish daily; [5] and if she could not destroy a human infant, because of the angelic amulet, she would spitefully turn against her own. [6]
(e) Some say that Lilith ruled as queen in Zmargad, and again in Sheba; and was the demoness who destroyed job's sons. [7] Yet she escaped the curse of death which overtook Adam, since they had parted long before the Fall. Lilith and Naamah not only strangle infants but also seduce dreaming men, any one of whom, sleeping alone, may become their victim. [8]
(f) Undismayed by His failure to give Adam a suitable helpmeet, God tried again, and let him watch while he built up a woman's anatomy: using bones, tissues, muscles, blood and glandular secretions, then covering the whole with skin and adding tufts of hair in places. The sight caused Adam such disgust that even when this woman, the First Eve, stood there in her full beauty, he felt an invincible repugnance. God knew that He had failed once more, and took the First Eve away. Where she went, nobody knows for certain. [9]
(g) God tried a third time, and acted more circumspectly. Having taken a rib from Adam's side in his sleep, He formed it into a woman; then plaited her hair and adorned her, like a bride, with twenty-four pieces of jewellery, before waking him. Adam was entranced. [10]
(h) Some say that God created Eve not from Adam's rib, but from a tail ending in a sting which had been part of his body. God cut this off, and the stump-now a useless coccyx-is still carried by Adam's descendants. [11]
(i) Others say that God's original thought had been to create two human beings, male and female; but instead He designed a single one with a male face looking forward, and a female face looking back. Again He changed His mind, removed Adam's backward-looking face, and built a woman's body for it. [12]
(j) Still others hold that Adam was originally created as an androgyne of male and female bodies joined back to back. Since this posture made locomotion difficult, and conversation awkward, God divided the androgyne and gave each half a new rear. These separate beings He placed in Eden, forbidding them to couple. [13]

Authors’ Comments on the Myth:
1. The tradition that man's first sexual intercourse was with animals, not women, may be due to the widely spread practice of bestiality among herdsmen of the Middle East, which is still condoned by custom, although figuring three times in the Pentateuch as a capital crime. In the Akkadian Gilgamesh Epic, Enkidu is said to have lived with gazelles and jostled other wild beasts at the watering place, until civilized by Aruru's priestess. Having enjoyed her embraces for six days and seven nights, he wished to rejoin the wild beasts but, to his surprise, they fled from him. Enkidu then knew that he had gained understanding, and the priestess said: 'Thou art wise, Enkidu, like unto a godl'
2. Primeval man was held by the Babylonians to have been androgynous. Thus the Gilgamesh Epic gives Enkidu androgynous features: `the hair of his head like a woman's, with locks that sprout like those of Nisaba, the Grain-goddess.' The Hebrew tradition evidently derives from Greek sources, because both terms used in a Tannaitic midrash to describe the bisexual Adam are Greek: androgynos, 'man-woman', and diprosopon, 'twofaced'. Philo of Alexandria, the Hellenistic philosopher and commentator on the Bible, contemporary with Jesus, held that man was at first bisexual; so did the Gnostics. This belief is clearly borrowed from Plato. Yet the myth of two bodies placed back to back may well have been founded on observation of Siamese twins, which are sometimes joined in this awkward manner. The two-faced Adam appears to be a fancy derived from coins or statues of Janus, the Roman New Year god.
3. Divergences between the Creation myths of Genesis r and n, which allow Lilith to be presumed as Adam's first mate, result from a careless weaving together of an early Judaean and a late priestly tradition. The older version contains the rib incident. Lilith typifies the Anath-worshipping Canaanite women, who were permitted pre-nuptial promiscuity. Time after time the prophets denounced Israelite women for following Canaanite practices; at first, apparently, with the priests' approval-since their habit of dedicating to God the fees thus earned is expressly forbidden in Deuteronomy xxIII. I8. Lilith's flight to the Red Sea recalls the ancient Hebrew view that water attracts demons. 'Tortured and rebellious demons' also found safe harbourage in Egypt. Thus Asmodeus, who had strangled Sarah's first six husbands, fled 'to the uttermost parts of Egypt' (Tobit viii. 3), when Tobias burned the heart and liver of a fish on their wedding night.
4. Lilith's bargain with the angels has its ritual counterpart in an apotropaic rite once performed in many Jewish communities. To protect the newborn child against Lilith-and especially a male, until he could be permanently safeguarded by circumcision-a ring was drawn with natron, or charcoal, on the wall of the birthroom, and inside it were written the words: 'Adam and Eve. Out, Lilith!' Also the names Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof (meanings uncertain) were inscribed on the door. If Lilith nevertheless succeeded in approaching the child and fondling him, he would laugh in his sleep. To avert danger, it was held wise to strike the sleeping child's lips with one finger-whereupon Lilith would vanish.
5. 'Lilith' is usually derived from the Babylonian-Assyrian word lilitu, ,a female demon, or wind-spirit'-one of a triad mentioned in Babylonian spells. But she appears earlier as 'Lillake' on a 2000 B.G. Sumerian tablet from Ur containing the tale of Gilgamesh and the Willow Tree. There she is a demoness dwelling in the trunk of a willow-tree tended by the Goddess Inanna (Anath) on the banks of the Euphrates. Popular Hebrew etymology seems to have derived 'Lilith' from layil, 'night'; and she therefore often appears as a hairy night-monster, as she also does in Arabian folklore. Solomon suspected the Queen of Sheba of being Lilith, because she had hairy legs. His judgement on the two harlots is recorded in I Kings III. 16 ff. According to Isaiah xxxiv. I4-I5, Lilith dwells among the desolate ruins in the Edomite Desert where satyrs (se'ir), reems, pelicans, owls, jackals, ostriches, arrow-snakes and kites keep her company.
6. Lilith's children are called lilim. In the Targum Yerushalmi, the priestly blessing of Numbers vi. 26 becomes: 'The Lord bless thee in all thy doings, and preserve thee from the Lilim!' The fourth-century A.D. commentator Hieronymus identified Lilith with the Greek Lamia, a Libyan queen deserted by Zeus, whom his wife Hera robbed of her children. She took revenge by robbing other women of theirs.
7. The Lamiae, who seduced sleeping men, sucked their blood and ate their flesh, as Lilith and her fellow-demonesses did, were also known as Empusae, 'forcers-in'; or Mormolyceia, 'frightening wolves'; and described as 'Children of Hecate'. A Hellenistic relief shows a naked Lamia straddling a traveller asleep on his back. It is characteristic of civilizations where women are treated as chattels that they must adopt the recumbent posture during intercourse, which Lilith refused. That Greek witches who worshipped Hecate favoured the superior posture, we know from Apuleius; and it occurs in early Sumerian representations of the sexual act, though not in the Hittite. Malinowski writes that Melanesian girls ridicule what they call `the missionary position', which demands that they should lie passive and recumbent.
8. Naamah, 'pleasant', is explained as meaning that 'the demoness sang pleasant songs to idols'. Zmargad suggest smaragdos, the semi-precious aquamarine; and may therefore be her submarine dwelling. A demon named Smaragos occurs in the Homeric Epigrams.
9. Eve's creation by God from Adam's rib-a myth establishing male supremacy and disguising Eve's divinity-lacks parallels in Mediterranean or early Middle-Eastern myth. The story perhaps derives iconotropically from an ancient relief, or painting, which showed the naked Goddess Anath poised in the air, watching her lover Mot murder his twin Aliyan; Mot (mistaken by the mythographer for Yahweh) was driving a curved dagger under Aliyan's fifth rib, not removing a sixth one. The familiar story is helped by a hidden pun on tsela, the Hebrew for 'rib': Eve, though designed to be Adam's helpmeet, proved to be a tsela, a 'stumbling', or 'misfortune'. Eve's formation from Adam's tail is an even more damaging myth; perhaps suggested by the birth of a child with a vestigial tail instead of a coccyx-a not infrequent occurrence.
10. The story of Lilith's escape to the East and of Adam's subsequent marriage to Eve may, however, record an early historical incident: nomad herdsmen, admitted into Lilith's Canaanite queendom as guests (see 16. 1), suddenly seize power and, when the royal household thereupon flees, occupy a second queendom which owes allegiance to the Hittite Goddess Heba.
The meaning of 'Eve' is disputed. Hawwah is explained in Genesis III. 20 as 'mother of all living'; but this may well be a Hebraicized form of the divine name Heba, Hebat, Khebat or Khiba. This goddess, wife of the Hittite Storm-god, is shown riding a lion in a rock-sculpture at Hattusaswhich equates her with Anath-and appears as a form of Ishtar in Hurrian texts. She was worshipped at Jerusalem (see 27. 6). Her Greek name was Hebe, Heracles's goddess-wife.

You mentioned The Cuphead Show Devil running to his mother after Lilith was destroyed to make Eve. Is it alright if I could request some headcannons of a Lilith reader around that time? Including the part where she started transforming for not exactly obeying Adam? Whether It’s more romantic or platonic, works for me. Sorry this is long and specific, be free to keep it basic if need be😅
A/N: im gonna preface this by i try to do as much research as possible on the religion i write about but holy hell researching who Lilith actually was due to so many conflicting sources. So im going to say that this mythology takes a twist similar to how it twists in the Obey me! plot line. So in this Lucifer and Lilith are related due to Lilith -at least in my mind- being an angel who was sacrificed to become a base for eve. she was basically the fabric and the rib of man was the base to be sewn onto. so i will never make this romantic or any angel x the devil scenarios unless they are platonic. with this out of the way lets get into the details. ALSO THIS IS GENDERED AS SHE/HER!! most of my fics are GN but as eve and lilith are females i will be using she/her for this scenario.
Tumblr media
:Lilith/Eve reader! Hc's: her only family
Lilith had woken up in her new body only minutes after being destroyed, god had made quick work to make Adam a new wife and Lilith, his daughter and Adams ex wife, would make the perfect base
all she needed was to be brainwashed and mind wiped, and that's what happened when god took her in his palm and crushed her with the might of the sun
lucifer had let out a blood curdling scream when it had happened, and that horrifying scream was the only thins she could remember from her past life
going by her new name Eve, she found life easy on earth with her husband Adam and she was always willing to be by his side despite the deep curiosity brewing within her
Eve one day had been strolling through Inkwell Eden while her husband was taking a nap and stumbled upon a beautiful tree with fruit that was as red as rubies.
a black snake startled her with a hiss and a "hello" causing her to fall and stumble back against the tree's rough bark
lucifer felt a pang of sadness, his sister was no longer recognizable except for the green eyes she bore while she would sore with him and their other siblings through the skies of their home
as the story goes the snake- Lucifer- had persuaded- or tricked in some folks minds- to eat the apple, which god had forbid the day eve had set foot on earth
it was almost instant that knowledge of things came flooding into her mind, putting her in a trance, but amongst that knowledge was the memories of her family, of her past life
by this time lucifer was now the devil, when eve snapped out of it the devil was standing in front of her with a hand reached out
"brother?" her voice cooed before the two embraced, a loud crack roared in the sky signaling that god was displeased with the actions of 'eve'
The devil had to flee, all the way back to inkwell hell, and the story continues, eve made herself clothes from ivy and hid out with Adam in a cave
however the longer they hid out the more she hated him, he was commanding, sexist and over all a lazy pig and despite his suave words the rage continued to boil till she snapped
"eve what is wrong with you?!" screamed Adam raising a hand only to be slapped first "I AM LILITH." she growled
it hit Adam like a freight train that all that was worked for was now lost
Lilith ran away when god took a break from his hissy fit in the sky only to be hunted by 3 angels, but instead of killing the children she bore they were going to kill her
the devil had shown up and shielded his sister while he did his best to fight off the three messengers of god but it was to no avail, he was not as powerful as he is now and sadly Lilith was now gone
she was not gone completely how ever, and there could be a day where she returns to her only family, lucifer, but until she found a way to do that all she could do was watch her injured brother sob over her corpse while throwing curses to the crying sky
A/N: another note!! this time more light hearted, i might actually make this an au or ask blog!! but i would much prefer input on that, Lilith wouldn't get an official design etc but i really like writing this type of stuff!! hope you enjoyed!!

((so since i can't sleep what shall i talk about since i don't feel like getting on my laptop and doing proper answers/tags and such atm.
Here's something that maybe confuses some of you!
I've had Azazel mention before that Bablon was his first wife. And you may think. That sounds weird. Where'd you get that from.
So if you remember anything about Babalon that was only mentioned in passing, I feel like what you might remember is her comment of 'I only wanted to be equal to men.'
Tumblr media
It's a good comment! Important thing to say!
But she also said something else I want to point out that's, imo, rather important to acknowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bablon ate from one of the Pillar Trees, the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge.
Now idk how many of you are of an Abrahamic originating faith(and if so I only partially apologize for the Aggressive Blasphemy on this blog) or were raised one or just happen to be familiar with the mythology there but
As someone who went to Christian school all their school life
The most notable woman to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree in the Garden of Eden which the Pillars are based on was Eve, the first woman.
But Eve never made a fuss about being equal to Adam. That anger towards dominating men is part of Babalon's character, so where did they get it if she's Eve?
Well! If you're familiar with the Jewish side of mythology there's actually someone else of relevance here!
(""blog spoilers"" because this references something that Azazel's been asked about but was somewhat avoidant with because i thought it might be more fun to have people ask about it and ~unravel some mysteries~ along the way but i have no patience i guess)
So! In Jewish mythology, Eve was not the first woman, to my understanding!
In fact, Eve was made of one of Adam's ribs. But earlier on, the bible says that God made man and woman, which sounds like they were supposed to be made at the same time(whereas Eve being made from one of Adam's ribs came about after Adam didn't connection strongly to any animals.)
But the actual first woman was made from the same earth as Adam, refused to be subservient to him, and left the Garden so God had to make Adam a new wife.
And the actual first woman's name was Lilith! And while I don't remember reading anything about her eating from the tree(and I admit I am underread atm shh there's a lot of shit to read), considering she's made at the same time and from the same source as Adam I'm sure she had the time at some point.
Now you may be thinking 'that's cool and all but where does Azazel come into this'
So to start off with that, Azazel got asked about Samael like. A week ago. And if you recall that ask, he was kind of vague about answering it, basically only saying that he liked Samael.
So Samael is often equated with Satan but whether or not they're the same entity is dubious because Samael, though sinful and condoning of sin, is considered "good". I decided to go with them being different for a few reasons, namely convenience and because Babalon surely would have seen him in MC if that were the case.
Samael supposedly means 'poison of god' or 'venom of god'
Which is a fitting name for a snake, I think.
Samael either orchestrated the tempting of Adam and Eve to sin with/using the snake or took the form of a snake to perform this temptation, depending on your source material. I'm going with the latter interpretation.
In the Book of Enoch, which some of Azazel's canon material references, Azazel is also the snake from the garden of Eden--which adds up if you consider God saying Azazel is to be blamed for all sin(Azazel himself corroberates this in-game by telling MC that their sins are because of him in the story where he marries MC and Zabaniyya.)
It also adds up if you make Samael and Azazel the same entity, as Samael condoned the sins of humanity as well as orchestrated Adam and Eve eating the fruit--and Samael could have just convinced Azazel to do it, but why not link two major sinful angels when Azazel already has so much fallen angel lore at once?
What I'm getting at is that, on this blog at least, Samael and Azazel are the same person--Samael is just a name that Azazel had very early along with a different Role. When he took on the Role of the Watcher after fulfilling the Role of [undecided, leaning towards Infection or Temptation], he began to use Samael less and Azazel more until he stopped using it entirely, or maybe took on the name Azazel when Lilith/Babalon was banished. Or maybe he was given the name with the new Role.
And in several sources, Lilith married Samael after leaving the Garden.
And thus, Babalon was married to Azazel on this blog once upon a time(or as married as Adam and Eve were.) They've since 'broken up'(Babalon was banished and Azazel wasn't for like 200+ years after lmao couldn't rrally sustain it even if they wanted to) and Babalon treats Azazel hostilely most of the time. Neither of them really discuss it lol
It's just headcanon for fun and to make some links around with his relationships and it's far from the most far-fetched one I have lol
Of course if people disagree with it or someone who wants to play Babalon or Samael disagrees with it, I have no problem with that and won't enact it on them! But like that's why we have those answers, in case you were wondering.
TL;DR--Babalon canonically implies she's Lilith and I make Azazel Samael for reasons and that's why they used to be married.))

Adam, Lilith, & Eve

The story of Adam & Eve is probably one of the most well known stories in history thanks to the widespread influence of Judeo-Christian culture. It’s a tale of the first man and woman whom all of humanity descends from according to the Biblical myth. In this post, I will use the Biblical and Gnostic traditions as well as sources beyond scripture to explain the symbolic significance of each of these characters as well as a character that is less known but has gained more popularity in recent times, Lilith.
Adam
Tumblr media
Adam represents the Divine Masculine and Primordial Man, as well as the entirety of the human race depending on the context. For example, in Genesis 1:26-27 –
“Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth. God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.”
The Hebrew word that is translated to “humankind” above is אָדָם “adam”, showing that Adam in this sense refers to the human race as a whole, both male and female being created together from the beginning. The verse also says that the human race, both men and women, were created in the image of the Divine. Therefore, the Divine must contain both masculine and feminine energies. Perfectly balanced. As all things should be. This verse also confirms that the human race has dominion over all the Earth. Therefore, the logical conclusion is that humanity, both men and women, are indeed God (Goddess) manifested into the physical. This is supported by many traditions including the Qur’an:
“Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” – al-Qur’an 2:30 “We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam”; so they prostrated…”
– al-Qur’an 2:34
Many use Genesis 1:26-27 as proof that Adam (the first man) indeed had a wife that was created at the same time as him, namely, Lilith in contrast to Eve who was created later from Adam’s rib. However, this is either a misunderstanding or a misrepresentation of the source material. I will explain Lilith’s origin later in her section. For now, we will turn to the Gnostic tradition concerning the origin of Adam.
In the Gnostic scriptures, Adam is a personified principle that existed first within the Pleroma as pure mind distinct from matter and emanating from the Monad. This pure mind represented the human Reason conceived as the World-Soul (Anima mundi). This is similar to the concept of Adam Kadmon in Kabbalah. To summarize the Gnostic myths, they go on to tell about how Yaldabaoth (Yahweh or “God” from the Old Testament) and his Archons desired to create a being in the image of themselves and in the image of the original Adam within the Pleroma. When the formation of the body was complete, it was lifeless, for Yaldabaoth nor the Archons had the power to give the body life on their own. Yaldabaoth then took power he had stolen from his mother Sophia (the principle of Divine Wisdom and the principle of the Divine Feminine) and breathed it into the lifeless shell that they called “Adam”. When they had done this, Adam sprang to life. This caused Yaldabaoth and his Archons to become jealous, for them being born of ignorance, they had not realized that they had surrendered their stolen power to Adam, who was now luminous and more intelligent than them. This caused the Archons to throw Adam into the darkest depths of matter. It would later take Eve to raise Adam up out of darkness.
Lilith
Tumblr media
The Hebrew word
לִּילִית
“lilith” appears only once in the Bible, in the Book of Isaiah 34:14 –
“Wild animals and wild dogs will congregate there; wild goats will bleat to one another. Yes, nocturnal animals will rest there and make for themselves a nest.”
The translators of the New English Translation translate “Lilith” to mean “nocturnal animals” and had this to say in their notes –
“The precise meaning of לִּילִית (lilit) is unclear, though in this context the word certainly refers to some type of wild animal or bird. The word appears to be related to לַיְלָה (laylah, “night”). Some interpret it as the name of a female night demon, on the basis of an apparent Akkadian cognate used as the name of a demon. Later Jewish legends also identified Lilith as a demon.”
It’s true indeed that the Akkadian language did have a similar word to Lilith – “Lilu” – and it is debated if the two words are cognates or related. However, it should be noted that Lilu in the Akkadian language is a masculine word, not feminine, and seems to be a general term for “demon”. In the Sumerian king list, the father of Gilgamesh is said to be a lilu. Referring back to the verse in Isaiah, it would make sense that it is referring to some type of wild animal or bird based on the fact the verses immediately before and following verse 14 are referring to animals –
“Her fortresses will be overgrown with thorns; thickets and weeds will grow in her fortified cities. Jackals will settle there; ostriches will live there.” – Isaiah 34:13 “Owls will make nests and lay eggs there; they will hatch them and protect them. Yes, hawks will gather there, each with its mate. Carefully read the scroll of the Lord! Not one of these creatures will be missing, none will lack a mate. For the Lord has issued the decree, and his own spirit gathers them. He assigns them their allotment; he measures out their assigned place. They will live there permanently; they will settle in it through successive generations.”
– Isaiah 34:15-17
The evidence doesn’t support the idea that Lilith was taken or censored out of the Bible to hide the fact that she was Adam’s first wife, as she does not appear in any Biblical apocrypha works, does not appear in any pseudepigrapha works from the Biblical period, is not mentioned in any of the gospels, and she does not appear in any of the Gnostic text from the Nag Hammadi Library, all text dating from a range of the 7th Century BCE to the 2nd Century CE. In Jewish tradition dating from the 6th century CE, Lilith is mentioned in three places within the Babylonian Talmud. Though she is not mentioned as being the wife of Adam, the text does seem to suggest she was a demon. However, it’s likely this view may have been established centuries later than when any of the previous biblical and deuterocanonical text were written and be based on the idea of the Akkadian word Lilu meaning demon. The earliest text referring to Lilith as the first wife of Adam comes from the medieval text titled The Alphabet of ben Sirach which scholars date as being written anywhere between 700 and 1000 CE. This work however was never understood as or treated as revealed or inspired scripture, rather the work was written and treated as a satire. It is from within this text alone that we are told the story of Lilith being Adam’s first wife who refused to submit to her husband.
“While God created Adam, who was alone, He said, ‘It is not good for man to be alone’ (Genesis 2:18). He also created a woman, from the earth, as He had created Adam himself, and called her Lilith. Adam and Lilith immediately began to fight. She said, ‘I will not lie below,’ and he said, ‘I will not lie beneath you, but only on top. For you are fit only to be in the bottom position, while I am to be the superior one.’ Lilith responded, ‘We are equal to each other inasmuch as we were both created from the earth.’ But they would not listen to one another. When Lilith saw this, she pronounced the Ineffable Name and flew away into the air.”
– The Alphabet of ben Sirach, fifth response to King Nebuchadnezzar.
Because of Lilith refusing to submit to Adam based on the idea that she was his equal, Lilith is sometimes exalted as a women’s empowerment or feminist icon. However, it should be noted and considered that the rest of the text goes on to describe Lilith as a demoness who terrorizes pregnant women, fornicates with demons, and murders infants. The work certainly does not paint a picture of Lilith being an ally to women. As the text is indeed a work of satire, it should also be considered that the text should not be taken too seriously in it’s treatment of Adam and Lilith. To the Gnostics, Adam and his wife Eve were seen as equals, and Eve especially was given high honor as she was responsible for Adam’s awakening.
Eve
Tumblr media
Eve represents the Divine Feminine and is the archetype Mother of all Life. She is also responsible for Adam’s (humanity’s) awakening to their true Divine Self. As the daughter of or even a manifestation of Sophia, it was Eve who brought forth the life giving Light from the upper realms of the Pleroma into the darkness of matter so that Adam (humanity) can see. Upon seeing Adam cast in darkness by the Archons, Sophia sent her daughter Eve (also called Zoe which means “life”) to be a help and instructor to Adam and to reveal to him his true Divine nature and how to ascend back into the Pleroma from where his Spirit (the breath of life that was breathed into him) came. Eve then became hidden within Adam so that Yaldabaoth and his Archons would not be aware of her. While Adam laid dormant in the darkness he was thrown in, Eve spoke to him from within and said “Adam! Come alive! Arise upon the Earth!” Adam then sprang to life once again, and upon seeing the form of Eve said “You shall be called ‘Mother of the Living’. For it is you who have given me life.”While the Biblical text says that Eve was created from the rib of Adam, the Gnostic text demonstrates that this was a lie told in order to suppress the Divine Feminine principle and it’s role.
“Then the authorities were informed that their modeled form was alive and had arisen, and they were greatly troubled. They sent seven archangels to see what had happened. They came to Adam. When they saw Eve talking to him, they said to one another, “What sort of thing is this luminous woman? For she resembles that likeness which appeared to us in the light. Now come, let us lay hold of her and cast her seed into her, so that when she becomes soiled she may not be able to ascend into her light. Rather, those whom she bears will be under our charge. But let us not tell Adam, for he is not one of us. Rather let us bring a deep sleep over him. And let us instruct him in his sleep to the effect that she came from his rib, in order that his wife may obey, and he may be lord over her.”
Then Eve, being a force, laughed at their decision. She put mist into their eyes and secretly left her likeness with Adam.”
– On the Origin of the World
Having slipped away to be alone in the Garden of Eden, Eve was approached by the Serpent, though the exchange in the Gnostic texts is slightly different than the biblical version.
“And when he saw the likeness of their mother Eve he said to her, “What did God say to you? Was it ‘Do not eat from the tree of knowledge’?” She said, “He said not only, ‘Do not eat from it’, but, ‘Do not touch it, lest you die.'” He said to her, “Do not be afraid. In death you shall not die. For he knows that when you eat from it, your intellect will become sober and you will come to be like gods, recognizing the difference that obtains between evil men and good ones. Indeed, it was in jealousy that he said this to you, so that you would not eat from it.” Now Eve had confidence in the words of the instructor. She gazed at the tree and saw that it was beautiful and appetizing, and liked it; she took some of its fruit and ate it; and she gave some also to her husband, and he too ate it. Then their intellect became open. For when they had eaten, the light of knowledge had shone upon them.”
– On the Origin of the World
As you can see, Eve was Adam’s (and therefore, humanity’s) first Teacher, raising Adam up from the darkness of ignorance into the Light of Knowledge. She is also humanity’s first Mother, and therefore embodies the archetype of the Great Matriarch. Eve should never be thought of as being naive, submissive, or the blame for the Fall of Man in the way the Judeo-Christian religions have treated her with their Bible. It’s actually quite the opposite, and she should be honored as the Raising Up of Man. The Gnostics have always felt that we are greatly indebted to the Original Woman, who embodies the archetype of Sophia (Wisdom). To read the Gnostic text for yourself, check out

God’s a Right Bastard, But Then So Am I

Chapter 7
Pepper shouldered her backpack as she, Wensleydale, and Brian got out of Wensleydale's parents' car. The Them were immediately heading for Hogback Wood. They had all briefly wondered earlier where Adam was but had come to the joint conclusion that he must have fallen ill. And while they felt bad for him the kids were still keen to get to their games. School had been a long slog and they all deserved a break.
Besides, Wensleydale had gotten extra copies of the homework and planned to drop it off with the Youngs right before dinner.
“Anyway,” Brian said as though the conversation had never been interrupted, “I figure the Ninja Turtles could prob'bly take the Transformers.”
“So you keep saying,” Pepper complained, “But Optimus Prime could just ..step on them and then they're done for, right?”
“Actually,” Wensley interjected, hurrying to catch up with them “Optimus is a good guy, so he wouldn't fight the Ninja Turtles, I think.”
“Nah, you're missing the first rule of cross overs,” Brian insisted. Brian's comic book collection was growing lately and he was starting to form Opinions on the whole subject. “First rule is if they meet they gotta fight. That's why there was that Batman versus Superman movie that no one liked. First they fight, then they become friends.”
“We're not talking about it like it's going to happen!” Pepper was exasperated. “Obviously that's what would happen if they met in a comic book. I mean if they really were going to fight each other-”
“Now what are you youngsters getting up to?” The Them stopped short. Adults stopping them on their way to the woods or on the way to make mischief was nothing new. But this wasn't R.P. Tyler stopping them while on a walk with his dog or any of the mums who would sometimes fuss at them.
There was an inkling of recognition there, but none of the three could place the gentleman. He smiled at them. Brian and Pepper stopped and studied him, but Wensleydale took a step back. “Sorry sir,” he said, “But who are you?”
“Gabriel,” The smile grew wider. It was making all three of them uncomfortable. Right now Gabriel was basking – the kids weren't able to remember him due to a subtle manipulation on his part. And coming across all three at once like this? Perfect. “You know, I'm actually new here. And I just opened up an ice cream shop,” he twisted a bit and pointed in the direction of the town square. “Officially we open tomorrow but I was just thinking ...you know, it would really be a great idea to get some of the locals' perspective first. Make sure the flavors are uh...”
“Good?” Brian supplied.
“Yes, that would be best, right? Having good ice cream,” Gabriel said appreciatively.
“I mean, it's ice cream,” Wensleydale was still hanging behind the other two. He wasn't afraid, exactly, but something about Gabriel was setting him on edge. “Is it possible for it to be bad?”
“I've heard about there being places in America with like ...garlic ice cream,” Pepper made a face. “You don't have that, right?”
“No, no, not at all. I have all sorts of flavors. If you kids want to come on down? It's just a short walk, you could follow me.”
Smart children should never listen to strange men they meet in the woods (or in this case, right outside of the forest). And normally, the Them were in fact smart children. A little brash and impulsive, yes, but not dumb.
But none of them saw Hastur lurking just beyond, hidden behind a tree. As a demon, temptations were naturally a specialty. And Gabriel's own angelic powers were working in concert to remove the doubt and fear.
“I don't think we -” Pepper started to decline, but Hastur's manipulations were taking hold. “Actually, I can't see any reason not to follow this strange man we just met to go get ice cream.”
“I agree,” Brian said almost woodenly. “We should follow him immediately and without letting an adult know where we're going.”
Wensleydale said nothing. Part of his mind remained unconvinced, but his feet were also moving so that all of the kids were now following Gabriel. If anyone in town saw the group it didn't occur to any of them that something strange was going on.
They came to a shop at the village square with a large sign proclaiming it “ParadIce Cream”. An old style neon sign in the shape of an ice cream cone lit up as the group approached. The door swung open and Gabriel herded them in, taking one last glance around to make certain no one else was watching.
Beelzebub was behind the counter, slicing into the apple pie Gabriel had brought by earlier. Beelzebub plopped a slice on a plate and then scooped out a large portion of ice cream. They repeated this until there were three plates of apple pie, each with a scoop of solid white ice cream on top.
“Can't forget the drizzles,” Gabriel set one slice of pie before each kid, then removed three vials from the inner lining of his suit jacket. He poured the entire contents onto one of the slices then moved on to the next vial and the next slice of pie until all three were now covered in a drizzle. “Eat up, kids,” He handed them each a spork.
The moment they touched their utensils to the ice cream each scoop took on a change. Pepper's became a deep, violent red. Wensleydale's already white ice cream somehow became even brighter. Brian's took on a sludgy looking gray color. If they noticed they didn't say anything. They just ate in silence.
“You're sure they're good for this?” Beelzebub asked, watching them for a moment.
“They're perfect. What's more, they're the Anti-Christ's friends. If he wants them back-”
“Then he'll have to help us,” Beelzebub concluded. “But how will this get the kids to have the powers and get them to work with us? Seems like a lot to hinge on some brats.”
“It's beyond a demon's comprehension.”
It wasn't. Most anyone could follow it. The true difference between humans, angels and demons is that the first humans ate of the Fruit of Knowledge – that apple that Adam and Eve bit into at Crowley's urging. Angels – and demons too, for that matter – had basically had to figure it out for themselves based on what God modeled for them.
But the apple had granted humans the ability to know right from wrong. But as rules get more complex and society has changed the knowledge originally passed down genetically may no longer be right. Everything got all muddled and it's no longer clear. Not without some perspective.
So, a recipe to restart Armageddon:
Take three kids – and the age is important here, because their brains haven't fully formed yet – and give them one of the apples of Eden. Right now, every good thing and every bad thing is playing in their heads like an old time newsreel, coming in so quickly that they can barely comprehend what they're seeing.
In addition to the apple, take the essence of temptation and doubt and pour all over the Eden apple pie (the ice cream just helps it go down more smoothly and to help the store's cover of being an ice cream shop. Can't have an ice cream shop without ice cream or the few humans paying attention might notice something was off).
They were almost done eating now, their movements mechanical. Even hypnotized, Brian managed to spill some on his shirt. He came to momentarily, dabbed at it and then stole a bite of Pepper's ice cream to make up for it.
“Hey!” she snapped out as well, just for a moment. She elbowed him in the rib cage before both of them resumed eating.
Once they'd all polished off the last of it, all three of them passed out, their heads on the table.
“What do we do with them until we're ready to start?” Thinking ahead on things had never been Hell's strong suit, so Beelzebub figured Gabriel must have a plan.
“How the hell should I know? That's your problem now.” And with that, Gabriel disappeared.
“Bastard,” Beelzebub muttered.
After heavenly intervention to make Mr. and Mrs. Young see that their son staying with an older man they hardly knew was, in fact, a terrific idea, Adam was now gearing down and trying to figure out where he was going to sleep. He'd wanted to go back to Crowley's place, but the demon had said no.
“It's safer for him here,” Crowley insisted. Aziraphale had gone along with it, but made it very clear he expected more information from the demon as soon as possible.
“What aren't you telling me?”
“Nothing!”
“Oh?”
“...That I can tell you right now,” Crowley's resolve broke almost instantly. “Just let me try to handle my part. It's a lot and I don't quite have all the pieces fit together yet.”
“We could help!” Adam suggested. “I bet the three of us together could figure it all out. Wensleydale's got all these detective books and I'm great at figuring out what happened and who did it.” He wasn't. Adam just didn't know he was rubbish at it because he never bothered to read the pages at the back of the book that explained the solutions. Even if he had, he would have preferred his own explanations.
“Might be worth it to give it a go,” Aziraphale agreed. “If you keep things from me, however will I help you?”
There was nothing for it. Crowley made them both promise to sit tight and then had run out, saying he'd be back shortly. When he came back Aziraphale and Adam were sitting in the backroom which now had a plush couch (which Adam occupied) and two lounge chairs (one of which Aziraphale was sitting in – the other was presumably for Crowley). Aziraphale offered him a cup of tea, not realizing his hands were full.
“Oh! The gramophone I gave you!” Aziraphale sounded delighted. “So glad you like it-”
“That's not why I brought it,” Crowley said darkly, setting it up on the coffee table that Aziraphale must have miracled up while he'd been gone. “Oi, start talking,”
“About what?”
“Not you, Angel! She knows who I'm talking to!”
Aziraphale is still an angel. There may be a recording of this conversation now.
Aziraphale dropped his tea cup. It shattered on the floor, the tea running every which way and staining the carpet. He was too in shock to clean it up. “...God?” He croaked.
Yes. Hello, Aziraphale. It's been a while.
“Yes, I'd say it has,” he pulled at his shirt collar nervously before turning his attention back to Crowley. “How long have you been talking to Her?”
“It's not like this was my idea!”
“Crowley!”
“I didn't invite Her to my place, had no clue She could do this. She just comes in without a … just wants me to do whatever She asks and I've got to do it, don't I? Can't say no to Her, can I? Damned for all time and yet somehow, someway, She could probably make it worse.”
“Crowley,” Aziraphale pinched the bridge of his nose. “I am not blaming you for this. I just want to know how long.”
“Ask Her!”
The day of Crowley's birthday. So not long. A few days. ...Happy birthday to both of you, by the way.
“It wasn't even actually my birthday,” Crowley had gone into full fit mode. “And some present you are, anyway. Just show up and start demanding things of me and not even telling us....go on, tell them what you told me.”'
“Is that really God?” Adam sat forward and poked at the gramophone. “I just thought the voice would be deeper...”
“Too many movies,” Aziraphale said dismissively. “But...Lord, if you would be so kind as to explain yourself?”
A sustained sigh came through the gramophone. I needed someone who could act as a free agent. As you know, when I speak to angels things are recorded in the Records Room. If I speak to Humans, they're recorded in the Prayer Room.
“But there's no one listening in to you talking to demons,” Aziraphale was quick on the uptake. “Which means if you spoke to Crowley then no one would be recording.” he turned his gaze in his friend's direction. “Why would you bring Her here? This conversation is going to be recorded now!”
“I know that, but would you have believed me otherwise? Would anyone have? 'Oh, Aziraphale, by the way, God's talking to me and She's using the gramophone you gave me.'. I still remember how that bit went down for Joan of Arc, don't forget!”
“I was there, too, I remember,” Aziraphale frowned. “I see your point. But I like to think I would have believed you. No point in wondering now.”
“No, there isn't. And She is going to tell you the absolute worst part of this whole thing, the part She was hiding from me. Aren't you?”
Yes, Crowley. As we agreed. Aziraphale. ...Guardian of the East Gate. I can no longer see all of Heaven, nor can I peer into all of Hell.
“I'm sorry, what was that?” Judging by how big his eyes were, Crowley figured Aziraphale had heard her just fine. “Crowley, I must have misunderstood Her. It sounds like you're both saying that God ...can't see what the angels or demons are up to anymore.”
“That is exactly what She's saying.”
It's true. I don't know how they managed, but they did. As I told Crowley – I can get a feel for about where they're at and snippets of what they may be doing. But it's no longer clear to me. I can't tell you how to stop them because I can no longer figure out what exactly there is to stop. Just that they're planning something.
“Ah. Well... That is...” Aziraphale stammered for a while. “Disappointing, to say the least.”
“Disappointing? Disappointing?! This is the Alpha and Omega admitting she doesn't know shit!”
“Language in front of the child!”
“I've heard worse,” Adam offered. “A lot worse. Like-”
Aziraphale cut him off before he could finish. “We managed last time. We can do it again, right?”
Crowley sighed. “I dunno. But I'm guessing we have to try, right? No just running off to the stars?”
“That will be Plan B. But for now...why don't you,” he looked at the gramophone, “Both of you, tell me everything that you do know for now. Then we'll start working on Plan A.”

TAFAKKUR : Part 191
Yonder Mystery of Bones and Reproduction
For many years, scientists thought that women were born with a limited number of oocytes (eggs) in the ovary, estimating around three thousands oocytes. This number declines by time until the age of fifty to a point of exhaustion, resulting in menopause. It is known that female flies, birds, and fish can generate new oocytes during their adult life, which has been thought to not happen in mammals like mice. Studies by Jonathan L. Tilly and colleagues at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School brought evidence that new oocytes could also form during the life of an adult mouse.
The findings in mice imply that humans might also possess similar characteristics. This increases the possibility and brings hopes of having a baby even at older ages along with treatments in the future, just like in the miraculous story of Prophet Abraham and Sarah as narrated both in the Qur'an (ad-Dhariyat 51:24-30) and the Bible (Genesis 21:7), showing us one aspect of the possibility and ultimate limits of knowledge and technology that humans can attain one day so that these miracles can become true, though to some extent, with the advancement of medicine.
Bone borne eggs
An interesting study showed an unexpected source of oocytes in the bone. Study by Tilly's group at the Harvard Medical School in 2004 showed that cells in the bone marrow of mice could be a source of oocytes that are developing in the ovaries. Their first observation was the expression of genes related to egg cells in the bone marrow samples of mice. To test the possibility of bone marrow cells as a source of new oocytes, they chemically generated infertile mice. Treating mice with two chemotherapy drugs called cyclophosphamide and busulfan causes infertility. Once they treated the mice with these drugs, the mice had extensive damage in their ovaries along with an end in new oocyte production in their follicles. Ovarian follicles are spherical aggregations in the ovaries which periodically produce oocytes. Remarkably, when they transplanted bone marrow from female donors, they found a number of oocyte containing follicles (about several hundred). Interestingly, the appearance of those oocytes were rapid and thought to be due to circulating oocytes originating from the bone marrow and developing as they travel through the blood stream. Although they don't have the evidence that those cells could be fertilized, findings could lead to fundamental changes in the current understanding of the female reproductive system.
Tilly and colleagues also report that bone marrow and blood transplants could also induce the development of oocytes in a genetically infertile mice model (which has a mutation in ATM gene). This mutant mice lack follicles and developing oocytes and are unable to produce mature germ cells (egg producing cells). Their study shows that bone marrow or blood transplant from healthy donors induces production of oocytes in this mice model. They conclude from those studies that bone marrow could be a source of germ cells to the ovaries throughout adult life. Their findings are somewhat supported by the clinical studies on cancer patients who were expected to be infertile but they could have babies after bone marrow transplant.
Another study on the circulating cells for female fertility used parabiotic (the union of two mice through an exchange of blood) mice model. This study by Eggan and colleagues tested the capacity of circulating bone marrow cells to generate ovulated oocytes and could not show any contribution of bone marrow cells to ovulated oocytes. Blood or bone borne oocytes are highly debatable but bone marrow cells, at least, might have a role in enhancing women's fertility. This might lead to the treatment of infertility. In addition, it might bring new opportunities for those dreaming of having a baby even at a late stage, but requires much additional research to be realized.
Lab & bone borne sperms
Sperm formation is known to continue throughout adulthood. It involves various steps of cellular differentiations. Maturation of sperms in the body takes more than a month in most mammals. Trials to mimic this complex process in petri dishes failed to demonstrate the production of normal, fertile sperms.
Scientists had dreamed of growing sperms in petri dishes for years. Recently, researchers in Japan developed a technique that allowed production of fertile mammalian sperms in a petri dish. Attempts to make such mature sperms usually failed due to meiosis, a specific type of cell division that halves the number of chromosomes. Meiosis is very essential step for sperm cells to get ready to fuse with an egg. Ogawa and colleagues demonstrated that meiosis of sperm cells lay in a simple change to standard petri conditions. They tried various petri conditions but they ended up with a special serum free medium that is commonly used for growth of embryonic stem cells. Several weeks later, they observed formation of mature sperm cells and even half of them had flagella, a tail-like structure that sperm cells use to swim. Injection of those sperms into egg was also able to produce offspring. In addition, when they used frozen testis tissues of newborn mice, they could grow sperms as well. This discovery in reproductive biology is likely to be beneficial not only for people having infertility problems associated with sperm maturation but also children that undergo cancer therapy which destroys fertility. It is known that chemotherapy impairs fertility. Adults could freeze their sperm before such treatment, but young boys can't. This new discovery offers such patients hope. In addition, this finding opens new avenues for protection of endangered animals that might die before reaching sexual maturity. It is a matter of time for the same technique to be applied to humans and other species.
There are also reports suggesting the generation of male germ stem cells (sperm producing cells) from bone marrow. Mesenchymal stem cells, which are derived from the bone marrow, have shown to differentiate into male germ cells. Studies testing the effect of retinoic acid and testicular extracts showed to induce human bone marrow stem cells to differentiate into male germ cells as shown by male germ-cell specific marker expressions. Another approach tested the possibility that bone marrow-derived stem cells would differentiate into germ cells when transplanted into the mouse testis. Using GFP positive bone marrow cells transplantations, it has been demonstrated that bone marrow-derived stem cells can also be induced to differentiate into germ cells. Interestingly, there seems to be a connection between bones and fertility.
Bones and fertility
The Qur'an tells the story of Prophet Zachariah, peace be upon him, when he secretly prayed to God to ask for a successor. He said "My Lord! My bones have grown feeble and my head glistens with gray hair from old age..." (Maryam 19:4). His prayer was accepted and the angels came with the glad tidings of his son, John. He was surprised as to how he could have a son while his wife was barren and that he had already reached infirmity in old age. It has been said by scholars that weakness of bones here refers to weakness in engaging in sex due to old age and gray hairs as a sign of infertility. It is also worthy to mention another verse where the creation of human is described as happening from a lowly fluid that gushes forth the vertebra and rib bones: Let human, then, consider from what he has been created. He has been created from some of a lowly fluid gushing forth. It proceeds (as a result of incitement) between the (lumbar zone in the) vertebra and the ribs (At-Tariq 86:5−7). As commentator Ali Unal explains, these verses refer to both the mechanism of the ejection of the seminal fluid and where it is emitted, which is a relatively recent discovery in biology. Remarkably, the Qur'an mentions two major bones where this fluid is emerging. Our current knowledge in medicine do not say anything about the role of ribs in reproduction or fertility but both the Islamic and Judeo-Christian traditions mention the creation of Eve from Adam's ribs, peace be upon him. Could this refer to the relation between bones and fertility? God knows best. Lastly, it is of importance to note that one of the symptoms of menopause is the loss of bone mass. Isn't it amazing how mysterious events regarding bones and fertility are taking place beyond our control and knowledge?

Lilith is the Mother of Demons because she mothered/’birthed’ the first demons in Hell (Actual demons, not already existing creatures or fallen angels, but hell-born demons) and from them more demons were made, so that all are, by extent ‘children’ of Lilith, thus making her the Mother of Demons (in some retellings of her myth she is called the Queen of Demons which I much prefer if we’re gonna have any demonic association, but in CAOS she’s the Mother so we’ll stick with that). The Plague Kings (the ones at the Infernal Court who had clay boy as their champion) are not children of Lilith because, as established by Beelezebub himself, he existed before man and witch walked the earth, so he’s pre-Lilith, as are other ‘infernal kings’. Hence why they disrespect the fucking shit out of her.
But anyway,  Lilith ‘birthing’ her demon children. It is not the same as an actual birth, it is still painful, still takes something from her, but it’s not a pregnancy-and-labour deal. As we saw when she made the Adam Creature, she had to give something of herself to bring it to life, and the entire scene was like a birthing scene, even down to the sounds Michelle was making were akin to a woman in labour. Lilith used her rib in this case to give life, because we obviously wanted a parallel to Adam and Eve, but the way she says ‘since I made you from my rib’ implies she has used other things to bring her ‘children’ to life in the past. Also, the fact she needed all of that man’s blood to give life to the Adam Creature, implies that something is needed from the ‘father’ too, meaning essentially this mortal man had a demon child if you want to get technical. In murdery death, your life lived on in a scarecrow demon child for a short time, Mr Sleezy.
Anyhoo, my personal headcanon is that this is always the case, that to mother demons, someone has to Father them, and Lucifer himself would never want to Father them because that would give them too much claim to his throne and power and he wouldn’t want that. So Lilith mother demons with other creatures in hell, such as the other fallen angels etc, which mirrors her original myth. However, with the ‘she was Lucifer’s whore’ content, I personally believe that in the CAOS version this was less about desire and more about being ‘whored out’ in order to make demon children with others.
As I said in another post. whored out does not always mean sex, and in the making of demons, the ‘Fathers’ could offer anything, blood, nails, siphoned power, bones, hair, the list goes on, but I don’t think it’s beyond a reach that copulation was also used, as that involves potent bodily fluids as much anything else (hence my previous longer headcanon post about Lilith’s negative associations with sex dating back to Adam in the Garden). Either way, whatever was involved with each ‘creation’, Lilith was essentially whored out, sent forth at Lucifer’s request in order to fill the nine circles with hell born demons, but obviously the demons went on and made their own creations, but let’s not think too much on that technicality.
So, while Lilith has genuinely and physically mothered demons, with all the pain and exhaustion that came with it, she has never had a traditional pregnancy or birth.
