Our twinnies are finally a year old! I can't believe my little babies are so big already, Hux looks like he's about to start preaching with his big boy haircut 🤣🤣.
Raising boy/girl twins just shows me how well suited we are for our Biblical gender roles. Hadleigh is just the sweetest, she loves playing kitchen and helping Mama cook delicious homemade meals for her Daddy and brother. I know she'll be a wonderful help meet soon.
And our Hux is just a roller-coaster 😆. He's constantly getting into everything and of course he doesn't listen to me, only Daddy would do. I know his strong spirit would make him an amazing headship.
We love you Huxton and Hadleigh!
Comments:
@fundienonsense: I have two children, boy and girl and my girl sounds more like your son than daughter, it's just their personalities, nothing to do with "biblical gender roles". Besides your daughter doesn't look happy to be in that kitchen @mrskevinrollof: reply to @fundienonsense: sad that you are raising an effeminate son, that's what you can expect from a liberal 🤣🤣🤣 @mar.tina3: omg their names are r/tragediegh

It’s our sweet Savanna’s birthday! She’s our “sunshine” as we call her; such a calm, contented little one who is always self-soothing (she’s so quiet we almost forget to feed her!). She is best friends with big sister Stella who just loves pretending to be Savanna’s Mama!
Happy Birthday Sunshine! Mama and Daddy can’t believe you’re already a toddler!

We have been blessed by so much good news! My eldest is getting married, Nestor has a new job, and I am expecting! I’d been feeling nauseous after Steward and Christie became engaged, but I thought it was just mother-of-the-groom nerves. Then I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! We haven’t been doing anything to prevent Beelzebeef from gifting us with another life but I was still surprised, given our fertility struggles. She has truly rewarded us for our patience and trust in Her! I cannot wait to become a mother of five and feel another newborn in my arms again.
Nestor has also been blessed with an amazing career opportunity! His recruitment agency were working with a high school to hire a student services officer, and they put Nestor in touch with the school board. Fast forward to the interview and they absolutely LOVED him! They actually made an offer before he’d even arrived back home, but he still prayed over the decision letter when it arrived. I love my husband’s reverence and devotion.
The new job is quite a change for us all, as we’ll be leaving San Myshuno! The school is on the other side of the country in a small town called Copperdale, so obviously we have to move. The board have been so helpful with relocation assistance; they even had someone give Nestor a tour of the town so he could find a good neighborhood for us to settle down in. It’ll be very different from the hustle and bustle of city life we’re all used to, and the little ones especially aren’t sure about leaving their school and their friends. I’ve been encouraging them to pray to Beelzebeef to thank Her for giving their father this incredible opportunity. Choosing to see the wonder in Beelzebeef’s designs is the key to contentment!

Growing Large Family Pose (4-31 Sims)
Download Below Cut
Hey all!
Thank you for voting for this pose and for your patience! I hope you all enjoy :)) I'll be taking another break from posting, but as always, please feel free to send in requests.
This pose was made with Fundie gameplay in mind, but I hope legacy players, and anybody else who needs a big family pose finds it useful!!
This pose includes:
Center Group (4-12 Sims):
This is the main part of the pose. It starts off with a Mom, a Dad, a toddler, and an infant and then you can add on the other 8 as needed.
Right Addition (2-11 Sims):
The true "Growing" part of this pose. Once you run out of spots in the Center Group, you can start adding Sims to this group.
There are two options for the Mom in this part of the pose; one with the Mom holding the baby, and one with her just standing beside the Dad.
There's also two options for the Dad; one where he is holding the Mom's shoulder, and one where he's just standing beside her. This makes the pose more customizable, as it can be made either platonic, familial, or romantic.
Left Addition (2-8 Sims):
Same thing as the Right Addition but on the left.
Less customizable.
INSTRUCTIONS (please read before use)
Download Andrew’s Pose Player and Teleport Any Sim
2. Place 4-12 Teleporters in the center of a Build Mode grid square, depending on how many people you want in the Center Pose.
3. If you plan to include the additions (these are used on each side of the Center Group to add more family members), place them a square and a half away from the center teleporters, as seen below. Left Addition can have 2-8 Sims and Right Addition can have 2-11.
4. Make sure that you have Sims perform the poses labeled as "Core Pose". These are the poses that each of the other poses are based around, and will make the group look weird if not used. But it's also your game and if that's how you roll, more power to ya!
5. I suggest you utilize both the Right and Left Additions once you run out of space in the Center Group, just to make it symmetrical.
6. Enjoy!
I'll be honest y'all, IDK if my laptop could handle posing all these Sims at once- otherwise I would post a picture of all three groups at once.
I DID test each group with a few adjacent Sims from the other poses, just to make sure they all aligned properly so it should be okay.
Please let me know if there are any glaring issues!

Major plot speculation for Good Omens S2. Doesn't reference any leaks. Does reference the trailer, sneak peeks, the S2 opening sequence, episode titles, official promos, minisode plots, hypothetical book sequel details, a late-season vague spoiler from the SFX article, and one interview where there might've been a slip.
Gabriel was the annunciation angel. Could S2 involve a second annunciation? For the Second Coming of Christ?
EVIDENCE:
The amnesiac Gabriel knows he needs to deliver something, seemingly to Aziraphale. Like he 'delivered' the news about Jesus to Mary? Based on promos and Gabriel throughout the opening sequence, this delivery is a major thread throughout the season.
'Everyday' was going to be S1's theme song, but it was cut. Now 'Everyday' is an actual plot point in S2, maybe because it's a romantic song………..but also because something else is approaching. Something of near-equivalent importance to the Antichrist.
"The Apocalypse was just a red herring" possibly because Jesus never actually showed up - was never even hinted at besides a short scene in S1E3 - even though the Second Coming is a major part of the Book of Revelation.
One minisode is called 'The Resurrectionists', and another involves zombies. The 'Everyday' pub in Edinburgh is also called the Resurrectionist. The resurrection of the dead occurs in Revelation 20, right after the widely-interpreted Second Coming in Revelation 19.
A minute into the opening sequence, there's a sign saying 'the 2nd Coming'. I mean. It's a bit on the nose, but what's up with that. The words 'THE PAROUSIA' are also visible around 1:08 of the opening sequence. It could be the theater's name...but 'Parousia' is another name for the Second Coming.
The hypothetical sequel book would've included Jesus arriving in a "big silver plane" surrounded by angel bodyguards. Crowley and Aziraphale would also be involved. (sources) S2 is supposed to get the plot to the point of the hypothetical sequel - maybe Jesus needs to arrive on Earth first. Note that a big silver plane labeled "Thy Kingdom Airways" appears in the opening sequence, shortly before it starts raining hearts.
The trailer has Aziraphale saying "I think I may have just started a war" and something reading "surrender the angle" [sic] thrown through a window. The SFX article reveals that "towards the end", Shax prepares to attack the bookstore, to retrieve Gabriel. Unlike the Heaven/Hell dynamic in S1, Hell might be trying to stop a Second Coming because they don't have a 'counter', since the Antichrist is now human.
WEAKER EVIDENCE:
S2E1 is titled 'The Arrival'. That's the same title as episode one of the radio adaptation, when the infant Antichrist arrived.
In the book/S1, Hell was incompetent delivering the Antichrist. It makes thematic sense for the Second Coming to be botched by Heaven being equally incompetent.
Last lines of the trailer: "I'm going to get into so much trouble." "Well then, let's make it worthwhile." because fundie groups will lose their goddamn minds if this is the plot?!
and...finally....
RADIO TIMES INTERVIEW:
"Jesus is being redelivered to earth, the Second Coming is scheduled." this could be a straightforward verbal slip about the book/S1 plot. or it might actually be the overarching plot
My biggest problem with this theory is that it might be too obvious. But things like Gabriel-as-messenger and 'the parousia' make me think the Second Coming is going to be evoked somehow. In that case, maybe the angels and demons conclude it's the Second Coming, and that assumption drives some of the plot, but then it turns out it isn't.
#good omens#good omens spoilers#good omens 2#if this makes too much sense don't worry i can get worse!

For the dnd au I personally want to hear more about Wilbur because he was mentioned in that one Fundy Dream writing thing and he sounds fucking interesting in this au c:
OH I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED ABOUT HIM
-
So- there is a lot so bear with me
Wilbur grew up under his father’s care, aka King Philza along with his loyal knight Techno. Wilbur is a high elf, so they live for really really long (their lifespans being up to 750 years). That being said, when he was 18 his dad and Techno left without a trace, basically leaving Wilbur to take charge of the Kingdom. So he tried his best— but it was a LOT. with a lot of pressure of now the new kingdom in his hands that he now called L’Manberg to having a child closely after/ he was kind of cracking under pressure.
But he persisted for two decades - and they were rough. It was hard for him to take care of his child (who he had to help transition and keep him a secret from the whole continent.) as well as dealing with another kingdom who basically tried to cause problems and changed their name to Manberg to spite him. They were practically nearing a war and Wilbur was starting to crack more and more, and it kind of got pushed onto Fundy a lot.
That’s when Dream came! Dream came from the Kinoko Kingdom came along to be his advisor- and it helped a ton! Dream helped Wilbur alleviate and quell the tensions with the raging Empire and for 4 years they managed to calm down the tensions.
In two of those years Fundy and Dream got together but Wilbur had no idea! :3 (Fundy was 22 at the time and Dream was around.. 60- before anyone gets me that is still very young for a high elf and Fundy even though his race is a Shifter due to reasons that will be explained later he still is part high elf, so he has that long of a lifespan as well if not at least it being halved- what I’m saying is that it’s perfectly okay DHSJSJSK)
But yeah things were going good— until one day at a meeting between Wilbur and Schlatt, Schlatt got poisoned by drinking wine and he nearly died- and Schlatt believed that Wilbur poisoned him which blew into a nasty war that lasted for 8 years- and Dream didn’t show his betrayal til the third year of the war where he basically convinced Queen Eret to turn against the kingdom of L’Manberg.
And Wilbur kinda… snapped a bit.
He became a lot more aggressive and impulsive, and really aggressive towards Fundy in general but also infantalizing him.
But it all came to a peak around the last year of the war, where everyone in the continent realized that Dream was the one pushing the kingdoms at this war for his own gain for control in the end. It took place in the capital of L’Manberg, where the kingdom was and it ended in a big explosion that presumably killed Wilbur.
Wilbur came out fine though! Perfectly fine and immediately said that Dream was the one that caused the explosion and they managed to subdue Dream and to the public’s eyes Dream was either banished or killed— but to the monarchs they know where he’s at. And they intended to keep him there.
Wilbur wasn’t- the same after that. He was more impulsive, more aggressive and just more unpredictable. Right after the war, Fundy ran off to Las Nevadas seeking some form of freedom and not realizing that he’s basically trapping himself with another horrid king.
But yeah with the current timeline of the AU (10 years after the war) Wilbur is— on the brink of being a mad king. Hes not fully there yet but everyone can see he’s getting close to, but his royal knight Tommy helps him a lot. And he is extremely interested in Cala’s little party since it not only has his son but it also has the man that ruined his life (and basically revived him after what truly happened in that explosion but shhhhh he needs to pretend he hates him) but yeah!
I will say each monarch and how they react to the party will be important since there’s a lot to deal with and how they handle the situation. :) but yeah I hope this gives some insight

do you have any tips on a fundie save? also what’s your fav place to get fundie gossip? I am engrossed now!
oooh i think my tips would be:
1. i would recommend doing a LITTLE research if you’re not sure on something so you don’t accidentally do something weird that you then have to live with. for example, why is ANTONIO RICCIARDI baptist? that is a very catholic name! are italians just not predominantly catholic in my universe or is his family very upset at him? i really don’t know because i just picked a name i liked.
2. don’t do storylines you don’t find interesting. you won’t like doing them and then it’ll drag on forever and you won’t want to write the story. and you don’t have to give every child a story if you don’t want to.
3. planning is good even if u don’t really like it. i get weirdly embarrassed about writing my plans down so i don’t do much physical planning but i make sure i at least have an idea of how i want a storyline to end. it helps avoid the same issues as point 1. some people are crazy and do excel sheets and shit but i personally love my badly organised obsidian file.
4. these have all been about story writing and i’m realising u said SAVE and not story so for the actual game, i recommend using clubs if you have get together. it makes it easier for sims to make friends and hang out and tbh i should use it more. i dont use it much atm so most of my sims don’t know their extended family 😭
5. i like taking screenshots of all my sims eating together for the aesthetic but honestly don’t try doing that if it’s not for a screenshot. employ the teenage daughters/mom to make tons of cheap party sized meals so you can put them in the fridge and take one out when u need to feed a crowd of hungry children. unless your fundies are lucky and live in a mansion then they’ll probably need the extra time to get everyone to use the bathroom and shower.
6. infants are weirdly easy. out of all the kids that have been born in the game, iva is the only one who got the bad infanthood trait and she was really difficult and also a twin. as long as they’re fed and you sometimes pick them up for a cuddle they should be good. they can sleep on the floor in the day at least. tbh i wish bad infanthood was easier to get because my sims should not be doing this well.
i don’t really keep up with irl fundies that much but when i do it’s mostly via reddit or fundie fridays on youtube. i do follow a bunch of blogs here who talk about it which is good for letting me know when something crazy happens/a baby is born.

Fundie Vibeology
There are two competing and conflicting rhetorical tricks you’ll encounter dealing with Christian apologists which is the way that their feelings are fundamentally true and your feelings are just as fundamentally disqualifying.
Do you know what I’m describing? Here are the two points in contrast:
Deconstructors and anti-apologetics people are really just expressing some personal hurt or injury that they’re then incorrectly relating to the whole of the church.
And also:
For me, I think the greatest argument for god are everywhere, they’re just everywhere! Look around you, look at this tree! The complexity of it, the wonder of it, doesn’t that fill you with awe and show you the presence of God?
Which is to say, in one capacity, if you’ve got hurt, upset or negative feelings against their arguments, like I do, then your feelings are just feelings. They are feelings that lack for depth, they are feelings that mean your opinions and positions cannot be trusted. Their feelings, on the other hand, are literally expressions of objective facts.
I feel like that’s that, I just like, done with the article, we’re all wrapped up here because that’s just how it works and it’s an observable, quantifiable fact that this is a thing these people do, or even that they do it without making any excuse for it or even notice that they’re doing it. It’s very important to remember that when you’re dealing with Christian Apologetics, which is the foolish infant clown of the religious studies discipline, that you aren’t actually dealing with a form of scholarship. You’re operating within the parameters of an immense landscape of vibes.
The fundamental vibeology of Christian Apologetics then is about expressing an idea of the normal that is filtered through the vibes of that same church’s existing structural space. And that means even the supposed heavy hitters in this space, like, William Lane Craig, is capable of going ‘well yeah, you know if Divine Command Theory is true, based on the vibes,’ and he’s a serious heavyweight intellectual, and if you say ‘that’s fucking horrifying and stupid,’ you’re the one being emotional and immature and foolish.
And the thing is when you’re at that stage of things, when you’re looking at the world through this set of contrary and counterpoint vibes, you don’t realise it but most of the time, what you’re doing with your life and your world, is instead elevating your emotional reactions to the level of the word of god. A level that just happens to include your personal feelings of pride and disgust.
But you can’t point that out.
The public discourse, like the attention economy based job of ‘being an apologist’ is one of the worst things happening to a truly terrible industry, mind you. Because now it’s a micro-influencer economy of people selling vibes to people under the branding of their eternal souls, but it’s not using colloidal silver or brain force ultra to monetise. It’s the threat of eternal life being wielded like a gun as someone sells you their fucking vibes and they do so in a way where if you’re disgusted or angered by that, the problem is you, and these are the people who own the fucking government.
On the other hand, my entire life of being willing to identify myself as an atheist, I’ve been dealing with people trying to explain to my how whatever my position is, regardless of my points or my arguments or anything even in that family, that instead the conversation needs to route around me. What I am needs redefining, because hey, an atheist actually means, or a materialist really means, or the fundamental philosophical perspective on what atheism really means or how positive claims work — and that’s just vibes. Because I don’t get to control my identity or express how it’s treated or what that means for me, because I’m an Angry Atheist.
This is because, as with so much of this fundie junk, that fundamentalism isn’t actually, despite what people like me seem to claim, it’s not a wholly united problem across all religious factors. Christian fundamentalism is in no way linked with Muslim fundamentalism even if they’d both have reasons to dislike some scientist or other. Christian fundamentalism is a wheeling arm on the edge of the machine that is Christian Supremacy, ensuring to pull the machine over to the side; to set the edge that the rest of the operation gets to wield.
We’re not so bad. We don’t hate women that much. We give blankets to the homeless queers we turned out of their homes. We support those laws but we’re not rude about it. We don’t want you to die, we just don’t want you here.
We’re not those ones.
Why are you so emotional about this?
It’s all the same technology. It’s all the same system, the same artifice and it’s the same evil and cruel system of digesting people in the name of sustaining power that is coming out of the face of a wannabe cool Youth Pastor in a church hall or from under the deliberately made-for-youtube styled wannabe bore Content Creator or the same grimming smugly teenaged fuckface who thinks he’s got the whole Bible worked out because he can call Daniel Maclelan a faggot. It’s the same terrible, terrible, terrible thing, and the best of intentions never means having to look at what the system you’re engaging with supports, never having to consider your arguments as sensible things because the Well-Maybe-It-Could-Be-True-This-Way justifications are just ways to hang onto and hold tight onto your vibes.
I hate them.
I hate them whether they’re the ones who try to start fights in Pride Month about ‘the homosexual agenda’ or ‘encroachment’ or whether they’re the ones who wear fucking rainbow pins and tell us that actually, Jesus wasn’t anti-homosexuality so the church isn’t against them after all and in fact, in their view, in fact, really, it’s very backwards to focus on that.
Same machine, many mouths, and it’s all vomiting out the vibes of the worst impulses of selfish, demanding, cruel, digestive power.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

if troy is exile, then why would eurolychos / fundy be there?
And what would make / replace "horse and the infant" and "just a man"
Is this more EPIC timeline with DSMP characters and locations? So troy being exile is just the location replacement?
Is there still a ten year war?
(not trynna bombard you, sorry, i just wanna know the plot and timeline so i can obsess over this more accurately >:3 )
(you good, I'm using your questions to better flesh it out for myself lmao)
Troy being Exile is more of a location replacement - I imagine in this timeline Fundy came to visit Tommy around the time c!Tommy jumped and they sailed together with Ghostbur - the rest of the crew is probably parts of Chat for the 3 streamers.
"Just a Man" feels like a song Tommy would sing before jumping off his column in exile (Tommy is the baby lmao) - it's more of him singing to himself and the hallucination of Tubbo. The baby could also be mushroom Henry, if Dream told Tommy to kill the mushroom cow or Dream would? The harmony parts are probably chat, as Tommy is mostly alone.
I think it's mostly the EPIC timeline with DSMP characters & character logic (life system, limbo, netherite armor for the gods, etc.)
The 10 year war part is up to you! I honestly don't know enough about the Illiad to add onto that - though the 10 year war could be the fight for l'manberg's independence assuming Tubbo wasn't fighting as well maybe?
Honestly, this AU is way more fun as a collaborative effort so any questions and suggestions are welcome! I'm working on drawing something for it rn actually so that will probably be posted soon~ish

I think it's really funny when fundies are also super into the crunchy lifestyle like bestie your whole system is based on a dude with magical powers born from a virgin you can take a tylenol and stop feeding your infant raw milk now
#I always bring it up#but me @ my aunt that scoffed at me for using my nebulizer while actively having a severe asthma attack#and I mean severe I had to use double my dosage before I could breathe without wheezing and coughing again#I 100% should've been in the hospital#I respect the crunchy life when it's shit like colds and scrapes and aches#absolutely not when it's an asthma attack or PCOS#and doubly not when your CHILD is the sick one#I assume most of the crunchiness comes from the adversion to medicine over prayer#because that implies that there are things that can't be prayed away#And it implies that if you pray and stay healthy that's proof of your worth and praying power#So when someone does get sick and/or die well that's just apart of his plan at least you can say you didn't fight his plan#It's not a preventable illness if you ignore/don't learn how to prevent it /j#every day I wake up and learn another disease raw milk can give you /j#ED tw#And everyday I use to wake up to my stepmom doing a different 'diet'#They 100% encouraged eating disorders both in restricting and binging#Feel bad? Eat food and pray about it! Feel good? Fast and pray about it!#Either way you should feel like you're on the Truman Show with every bite you take#your health becomes a moral issue not a natural one#it becomes a temple and not your vessel#ex christian#religious trauma

Thursday, 9:17 PM, Onyeka household, Henford-on-Bagley
Adaeze: And look, sometimes stars make shapes in the sky… Like, there’s the freezer bunny, and there’s the llama…
Onyinye: Woah, that’s so cool! How do you know all this stuff?
Adaeze: Oh you know, books…
Onyinye: Hmm. I guess I should read more.
Adaeze: … Yeah, you should. Listen, by next year I’m gonna do something kinda stupid, but it’s something I need to do to be happy. Mom and Dad are gonna be really mad. They might say some really screwed up things about me. But promise me you won’t believe them.
Onyinye: You’re always going to be my best friend, Adaeze. You pretty much raised me.
Adaeze: While we’re here, just between the two of us, I think you’re too smart for… whatever it is Mom and Dad have going on here. Read some more books like you said. And when you’re my age, consider going to university.
Onyinye: But, girls shouldn’t—
Adaeze: Just think about it. You have a long time to decide.
Onyinye: … Okay. I will.
(Adaeze and Onyinye both have the genius trait and Onyinye somehow ended up being the only Onyeka to get the unhappy infant trait—even her twin has the top notch infant trait so idk how that happened—so the both of them will come to want nothing to do with fundie life.)

(Valentina's POV)
As the year draws to the close, we're really focusing in on getting everything done in time to usher in the spring. The kids have been diligent in caring for the chores as well as getting their school work done before they get the last 10 days of the year off. They then use those days playing out in the snow, or visiting with their Nana and Papa Townsend.
These two have definitely put me through my paces! Adele and Abigail have definitely made my last experience having infants definitely a worthwhile one. They're so little but everyday we learn new things about them, and one big thing is that they're personalities are night and day. One loves to be held whereas another hates being put down, one loves naptime and another takes ages to go down for a nap. They've been successfully hitting their milestones, and i've been filling the family group chat with little pictures and videos of them. Whilst I'm happy with our decision that these are our last 2 kids
The differences between the girls really shine through at nap time, this is where Eric and I tag team in order to get them both down successfully - especially at night when it's most important for them to sleep through the night (or at least try). Abigail goes down a lot easier than Adele, and it just so happens that Abigail is a mama's girl with Adele being a daddy's girl, so we grab an infant each and get to work.
Having two toddlers in addition to having two infants has definitely shaped up to be quite the learning curve for us. Eric and I have always been a good team, but we've really learnt the value of working together if there's going to be function - especially at bedtime. The girls will soon be toddling all over the place, meaning 4 children in diapers if we don't get to work and potty train them.
Speaking of potty training, I can't wait for the days when diaper blowouts are far in the past. They seem to come at the worst possible time, usually in the middle of the night. The girls love the baths that come with blowouts, the baby giggles are music to my ears, they help me forget the fact that we're both covered in all kinds of mess.
(AN: My infants refuse to pose, so I'm probably going to keep using that toddler body mod whenever I need them for pictures. I have no idea what is causing them to refuse to post, I follow the instructions but nothing materialises.)
Christmas is just the best time. One thing Eric and I agreed we wanted to do was do something advent focused during the days leading up to christmas, growing up we used to sing a christmas hymn every night for the 24 days leading up to christmas during our nightly family devotions. Eric and his family just did christmas focused devotions for the week leading up to Christmas. With our family, I found this company that makes scripture themed advent calendars, so each night we've been sitting down with the kids and opening up the number for the day. There's a little scripture inside and a little christmas themed toy, and all the difference pieces can be assembled to make up the nativity scene on christmas day. So far the Aria and Ansel are the only kids that we let interact with the advent calendar and all the small bits, we keep the toddlers and infants engaged with other larger toys in the meantime and they're in bed soon afterwards to give the older kids time to play undisrupted. We really enjoyed church this christmas, we go to the same church as Eric's parents, so the kids get Christmas with Nana and Papa. We spend new years with Eric's parents, the kids play and we do a mini celebration with them earlier in the night so they can go to bed and leave the adults to chat.

Im watching Ghostbur n Philza talk after fundy told him he was getting adopted and hes asking Phil how bad he was when he was alive and how bad of a dad he was and Phil said that he was the best dad for a while before going off into the deep end but like. thats not true is it. Because yeah, Alivebur was definitely a bettet person before he went off into the deep end but like, I didnt feel like he was a very good father back then ? Idk to me it felt like he was really infantalizing Fundy in the lmanberg days and I personally despise that so it really stuck out to me, but also if Fundy still needed like, parental support, Wilbur wasnt giving him that either because he was too busy doing shit with Tommy yknow. I dont remember this being addressed but I feel like they might do that post Wilburs ressurection because that seems like a good opportunity

I am not an expert in American culture but if the goal is to protect children , shoul'nt they do something more useful like regulating guns ? I keep seeing new about little kids accidentally killing a family member because someone gave them a gun
The short answer is: it's not actually about protecting kids.
The long answer is: children are a useful tool in political discourse because they are uniquely vulnerable and completely unable to advocate for themselves. Either they're too young (<12ish) or society refuses to take them seriously if they try (12-17ish).
There are no children's rights groups run by children advocating for themselves, for example, like there are gay rights groups, trans rights groups, advocacy groups for people with disabilities, etc. AKA, there are no children who will push back on harmful policies aimed at children.
Children aren't going to be able to tell you what is actually best for them. Nor should they have to. Adults need to make those decisions for them 99% of the time.
"Think of the children" preys on the inherent ambiguity and fear a lot of good parents feel ("am I doing this right? What if I'm wrong?"), and can justify bad parent's horrible, potentially abusive decisions ("I was just doing what I thought was best! No parent is perfect!").
This means you can essentially do whatever you want as long as you trojan horse it in as "protecting the children". There will be some pushback, but there are enough people with fear and insecurity that your pushback will be small enough to overcome (and if it isn't, just proclaim the people trying to stop you as child abusers or pedos). But the people pushing these efforts don't actually care about children. They care about power, control, and political capital.
And you'll notice... when minors are actually old enough to tell you what they want, the political discourse will start infantalizing them to get them back to the "they can't tell you what's actually best for them" stage. Teenagers get treated the same as 4 month old babies.
Look at the recent shit about trans healthcare in the US. Often times the trans youth accessing these services are teenagers, 13 and older. But whenever you hear the fundies talking about it, they'll opine about 3 and 4 year olds getting abused and manipulated into wanting top surgery. To be clear - no one is doing that.
For reference, 15 is the age at which we allow minors to operate two ton death machines (cars) supervised in the US, and 16 is the age we let them operate them unsupervised. If you're a farm kid you can be legally driving tractors even younger than that. You'd think if you were old enough to do that then you'd be old enough to decide if you feel more comfortable with she/her, he/him, or they/them pronouns, but the people who want to exploit your vulnerability for political capital will always treat you like you're barely out of the womb.
That's why we're having endless legal battles over trans kids' access to health care, which impacts ~300,000 kids in the country (0.4% of the American child population, probably even less since MANY trans kids do not access gender affirming care and their transitions are primarily social in nature), but no one wants to touch the obvious gun toting elephant in the room. Which affects 73,000,000 children in the country and has quite literally surpassed car accidents as the leading cause of death for minors. Because guns get their own little advocacy group to protect them, but children? Fuck 'em.
